Cute little garden park in the center of the downtown area of Marietta near the heart of Marietta government. Been here plenty of times. It can be difficult to find parking on weekends and evening hours after work during the week, so be prepared to drive around and look for parking. If you donβt find free street parking, you may have to pay $10 at one of the outside lots or thereβs a government parking lot nearby, but I canβt quite remember the prices. Plenty of shops, galleries, restaurants and other small businesses around.
A very nice downtown area of Marietta surrounded by unique shops, businesses, and some great restaurants. Plenty of folks in the square enjoying a picnic. Kids were having fun on the model train and splashing in the fountain. Nice central fixture for a sense of community and for meeting up with friends.
GLOVER PARK CONCERT SERIES 2022: Come to the square every year for their Glover Park Concert Series. Its always so clean and the people and band always know how to use music to set the mood. The bathrooms are always clean but need more sanitizer. The Marietta clean up crew is always so nice.
I never get out on my own and I have finally decided to stop coming up with excuses as to why I cant do anything such as not having someone to do it with, and just doing it. I toured a couple of history sites and tried bubble tea for the first time, ate a $10 ramekin of French onion soup and inadvertently ended up in a March for Our Lives protest. I bought a bunch of trick items from Eddies Trick Shop, which has been here forever and one place I always stop at when in the square.
It was Quiet and loved Marietta Square until a strange man asked for money for the bus at 1120p.m. And Random cars parked with lights on. The Sprinklers turned on and the little friends came out Running. Lol. And felt Uncomfortable..So it was Peaceful... Thank you Universe. Mother Gaia..
This is a great place to come and enjoy the park in the center of it all, with the awesome 3 tier fountain, beautifully kept lawns and florals, monuments, kids train play area, gazebo, and stage area. You can sit and relax on the many benches all around the park. In the Square are some really unique shops, restaurants, the Strand Theater, two ice cream shops, candy store, Antique shop and the courthouses. The Marietta Pizza Company has outdoor seating as well as indoors and serves the most awesome pizza, calzones, etc. The magic shop is quite a store too. It is difficult to point out all the great places to visit on the square. Plus they have concert events throughout the year in the park , as well as street vendor events here and there during the year. They have a calendar of events online to help you plan events. This is definitely a jewel available for all to enjoy. If you have not visited, I urge you to do so!
Super fun, local place to walk around. Locally owned shops are very nice, all have very kind employees. Many beautiful murals by talented artists. Many restaurants ranging from fine dining to pizza, burgers to bubble tea. Stores from soda pop shops to clothing, art galleryβs to a tattoo shop. One of my favorite places in the Atlanta area. I can always find a parking spot. I would come here more often if I could.
Classic place, the small train as playground is cool, the lights, decorations, the environment, the people, very calm feeling, like no rush, everyone like having good time, the scene is classic downtown I just loved it, there is a bigger train in the corner, check the pictures
This is such a great place to stop with family. We have our family dinners there from time to time, stop to get coffee, walk around at the great stores that are in that area and then relax while the kiddos play and run out their energy for the evening. I couldnt ask for a better place for us to create memories at!
I love this place. Been living in Marietta area for about 4 years and I just love coming to the Square. Great food, good music sometimes, good people and just genuinely a great place to spend time with your family and significant others. If you are in the Marietta area, you need to stop by the square!
I love 20 mins from here and Iβm so lucky. Such a great place to hang out, grab some food and drinks. My toddler likes to play by the fountain and trains area. The weekends are busy and lively, parking can be a challenge. So much food places and the food hall is across the train track! $5 to park at the food hall. Lots of shops as well. Just pay attention when crossing the crosswalks! Some drivers donβt pay attention to the lights. Itβs also a great place for dates! βΊοΈ
Great place for a family stroll. The shops around the square offer ample opportunities for sourcing unique, personal gifts that cannot be found at the big box stores. There is a train that runs along the edge of the square and many places hang out as you watch it go by.
The Square is always clean and inviting. There is something for everyone to explore here. You can visit historic sites or the Gone With the Wind museum, the kids can play on the train playground or ride bikes through connecting trails, here are great locally owned restaurants, breweries and unique shoppes.
As far as the police head quarters and station down there be aware. Other than that if you want to go to any type of event for any culture they got you covered. All the food, treats, entertainment, and sight seeing is all in one place. If you want to see some art take a stroll.
My plans was to visit one Gallery for the day. I noticed a lady sitting in a front of window. 35 North Park Square. North Park Gallery was the place. I walked in holding a piece of art that Im working on. Her name was Clairi Collar. A welcoming beautiful young lady with great views and thoughts. Im planning to return and Hopes to develop a wonderful working relationship. After meeting her. I decided to meditate on the beautiful inspiring experience and call it a day.
Visited Marietta Square with my little family for the Art in the Park Festival and had a wonderful time. It was our first time to this particular neighborhood and it offered a wonderful day of activities and sights. I really like the old downtown feel of the area. We visited a few local shops (including an ice cream shop and a really excellent trick shop) in addition to the festival vendors. All in all its a nice place to visit.

This was my first visit to Marietta.Their festival was happening but the first thing I came upon was the police with their war surplus super rescue vehicle. They were welcoming folks inside. I was not entirely comfortable with it.I got to visit the 3 antique shops in town and bought a couple of pieces for my political campaign collection. It seemed a welcoming town.
Sublime squared! A stroll, a bite to eat, or a quick stop in a cute shop, the Square in Marietta has it all. Families, couples, and kids can all find something fun. Always clean, safe, and open to all walks of life. A great mix of people with laughter and smiles all around.
So much this local culture has to offer. The food and environment at The Marietta Local was fantastic! The Local Exchange piqued my impulses of discovery so much I spent an hour or more wandering through the gallery of local foods, stories, crafts, wines, and art. A must visit.
Great part of town. Always have fun activities going like small town America feel. There are fun shops and restaurants and CSX train runs pretty frequently through town. Great for little train fans in your family.they also have the court house on the square and business licenses division. So truly the heart of Marietta
Nice place to sit unwind relax and just take a break from it all. Enjoy the fresh air and the scenery. Good place to spend with your hunny or your little hunny bunns (kiddos) or even just sit and soak up some sunshine. If you are getting married this maybe a good place to take your photos.
Went to Chalktoberfest on the square. This area was made for these types of events. Food trucks in multiple locations off side streets around the square. Chalk art in the street with arts & crafts vendors in both sides of the street. Shelter from the sun could be found in the heart of the square where live music was continously. It was a good time for all. Try to make it out next year. You wont be disappointed!

2022-05-20I visited for a food festival. So very disappointed. Vendors tripled prices for just tasting items. Food wasnt good. Would not go to a food festival held here. Parking limited. Marietta police and fire dept. Were available to assust with situations. Very professional. I have visited just to sit in the gazebo or listen to live music. I have eaten at many of the restaurants there and was never disappointed. Iβve gone there on a date night and even was a spectator of several weddings at the gazebo. Enjoyed very much.i have never been disappointed with any of the restaurants that Ive dined at. Many small restaurants and you can eat outside and enjoy. Its very quaint. Would recommend for a date night or just to go chill.

2022-06-01My best friend got a marriage proposal on Easter Sunday. She said yes! Everything was perfect except there was some man ranting and yelling his information to everyone. Definitely interesting.. to say the least

2021-09-19Historic Marietta Square is a true gem. A classic center fountain and train playground provides a great setting to spend some time outdoors on a day with nice weather. A lot of variety in shops and restaurants that line the square. Frequent festivals and outdoor events provide plenty of reasons to visit.

2022-04-24Went to Taste of Marietta today.Lots of people, lots of food, lots of people eating food! There was cultural representation from every ethnic community in both food and people.Everyone was having a great time.Lots of police presence.Lots of music. There are a variety of clothing stores and restaurants on the square and a beautiful park with a large fountain.I assume that it is busy even when its not the taste of Marietta π

2022-06-26My family and I enjoy the square. Very family oriented and friendly. High end to budget friendly dining, little something for everyone. I enjoy Macs Chophouse for a great drink and quality food. La Cubana has great home cooked style Latino food and coffee and cool beans for their whole beans. Also there are weekly activities and events all spring and summer long with occasional winter events as well.

2022-04-25Rather sad to see such a populated area with its main downtown square so stuck in the 90s. Wonder what they do with all the tax revenue. Certainly not city development or beautification.
