Martins Restaurant - Cartersville in other cities:
Waited over an hour in the drive through line. And what a surprise no one even apologized for the wait like it’s just fine costumer service is a joke at the place. I understand that being understaffed may be a problem but as a business your customers should not have to wait at a drive through for over an hour. Not pleased with this martins. I Think in the future I will spend my money somewhere else.
Went to Martins this afternoon 6/13/22 for lunch take out. It took me 30 minutes to get through the line. I live maybe a block from Martins and the hamburgers were cold. I ordered a large fry. Received a small order in a large bag. They were also cold.As much business as they do there is no excuse for getting cold food.I gave one star only because I had to.
I come here quite often and there’s usually a long line but it goes relatively quick and my order is Always correct but, I come there today and it’s way longer than usual and the girl that is taking orders for drive through was extremely rude and my order came out wrong and sloppy. That needs to be taken care of asap! Y’all should be ashamed for hiring trash to work that location. That girl needs to go!
Incredibly long wait, which did not appear to be from lack of employees. I mention this because they have a sign claiming labor shortages as the reason (which usually translates to we dont offer a living or competitive wage).Food was okay. Fries were slightly undercooked. Wont be back to this location. Not worth it.
Wish they would open the inside great biscuits but not worth the wait to get through the drive thru....... this is an Edit Martins it is time to open your inside to everyone not just the people you pick and choose... the whole covid thing is now nothing more than an excuse especially as you let your preferred people in through the locked door and turn away your non preferred people. I suggest the owners look into this.this edit was written 07/07/2022
There is non better, fresher, or faster, and if you see a line, that is the reason why, because customers continually stream into the drive up as long as they are opened.I watched and listened to the operation and even spoke with the manager and she is running a clean and efficient and team. It was obvious the team inside is working hard and cooperatively together which is a rarity anywhere and says much of the people who composed the team and their manager.I had the big chicken biscuit and a large coffee and I am STUFFED! It was hot, fresh, VERY TENDER, with a uniquely perfect seasoning.Teamwork makes the dream work and Fresh is best!
Martins is probably got the best biscuits in Cartersville restaurants that is they make them to whatever you want thats what you get in Martins they do got good gravy that got good biscuits and their hamburgers and hotdogs are not bad I give him a lot of a score of 1 to 10 I would give him a 7 on hamburgers and hotdogs biscuits I would go at 9
The breakfast and lunch items are all good & fresh. Waited in line about 15 minutes this morning for 2 bacon, egg & cheese biscuits w hashbrowns & so worth it. Disappointed they can’t offer the fried apple pies, it’s bc of vendor availability; def the best in town, they are trying to find another vendor so hopefully it will be soon
I used to love Martins, until today. I stopped to get a biscuit and tried to walk in. No such luck. The drive thru is open, but in a big truck you can go through a drive thru. The girl inside basically told me tough luck. Maybe they wouldn’t be so terrible to truck drivers if they stopped getting their deliveries ON A TRUCK!!!
I have been going here for 20+ years. It is now awful. I used to drive an hour just for a biscuit; not after today. Biscuit was old and cold. Two small pieces of bacon on my sandwich. I also waited 25+ minutes for one item. Also got charged for a cup of water. I’ll go somewhere else.
Food used to be alright. My son loved there ckn biscuits. Now I dont eat there and last couple times my son has ate there hes been disappointed? For their harsh browns oder a 2 harsh brown n got 2. Next time order 2 and our usually order but price was somewhat higher then usually but this time we got 4 hb so I didnt realize they have regular and ,large. Assuring cashier decides what to give you. And hb didnt have no crisp ,crunch but had so much grease soaked into the hb that having to go home and try pan frying and toaster over on broil for a while didnt help greases.Like the employees r dropping them before the grease gets to the right temp. So they were trash. My advice unless u got money to throw away and time to waste eat home ,less expensive.C/S its OK except older lady, in drive thru is very polite... ,
No place better for sausage and gravy biscuit.... They have many other delicious options as well... Sausage y gravy biscuits are just my personal favorites.😋... The prices are competitive with the other chains and even when the drive thru line looks long, they get em thru pretty quick and accurately.
Unfortunately ,we made the mistake of trying to grab a quick meal on a busy day ,It was 2:30 on Dec 7 we realize they close at 3 but instead of serving raw food & grease dripping cold side items ,just tell customers you close at 3:00 ,if the fryers are off ,people will go elsewhere ,much better than serving food that went straight in the trash !
Awful! 15 cars in the drive through this morning (nothing new) & the door to the restaurant was locked but one lady went up, banged on the door, was let in & came out with food about 8 mins later. Someone else walked up & attempted to do the same but was told that they werent open for pickup & it was drive through only. I called the restaurant to see if they did call ahead pick up orders & was told no that it was drive through only. I asked why the lady was let in & the person on the phone hung up on me. WTH??? Definitely wont ever return there!!
Food is great but the drive thru order taker attempted to take the order of our front bumper (couldn’t pull further forward due to the rest of the line) twice and had an audible attitude the second time. We got to the speaker and placed our order and received no response. We waited in place for over 5 minutes with no response, said “Hello” only to hear “she already got your order” from another worker as the response.
Martins is USUALLY so great , it’s worth the 20 minute wait ! This one not so much the three times we’ve gone and my husband gets my chicken biscuit it has no taste!Even on his egg and bacon biscuit you taste the bacon but the eggs have no tasteThe one in Austell in Kennesaw are so much better!I won’t waste my money at this one! not worth the calories!
I was about to give a 5 star review until I saw that you discriminate against people who dont have a car. I always park and walk in. Gas is too high to burn it up in a 3500 work van. Youre lucky to have not pulled that mess on me. Im stressed enough as it is. Ill plead insane. Shoneys it is.
Honestly i stopped going here for a while and decided to give it another Go but i tried calling in my order because there only taking drive threw but i didnt have a car so I decided to call and instead of getting my order they hung up because I didnt have a car. So i eventually got a car and went over since my employee really wanted martin and i get my food and my bacon wasnt even fully cooked. I am just beyond dissapointed in this place.
Normally this place is great but the last few times Ive been here the biscuits have been hard , like theyre old. One of the girls that works here needs to be re trained. She got the order wrong twice and when we corrected her on what we were paying for she just stared at us like she went into her own little land. My family and I go every Saturday but it will stop if they dont get back to doing better.
If you havent had a large (insert meat here) bisquit from here then you must. Best onion rings if you like em big. Hamburgers were bland. Hot dogs not much difference. They seem to be allergic to salt and pepper here.....and I stop nearly everyday for breakfast....must be the gravy .
Not sure if Martins Corporate made this decision but they offer no walk up service so those individuals who do not own a vehicle cannot order. Thats clearly discrimination against those who cant afford to pay for a ride or afford a vehicle. Its 2021, you have a functional front register and a lobby. Youre also promoting pollution when you have vehicles wrapped around your parking lot.
It was not good. Totally mess our order up. When brought to their attention they put the order that was messed up in a container and poured gravy over it. It was a to go order so after we left and seen what was done we turn around and drove back....going into the store and making them give us the right order. They were very rude. We were there Sat. 10/22/18 at approx 1:30 pm. Joe Frank Harris pkw in Cartersville. We love eating at Martins and we will go back, but this was uncalled for.
Quick FRIENDLY service. I ordered at the drive thru at 6am, and I suddenly realized I was without my wallet but I had $10 cash, my order totalled $12.63, so I requested to remove a few items to bring the price down, I was told to drive around to the pickup window. What Happened Next SURPRISED ME & Touched my heart. The most WONDERFUL thing Happened, the drive thru employee (I didnt catch her name) Pulled money out of her OWN POCKET & PAID MY remaining balance. What a BLESSING, Such a KIND HEARTED WOMAN, I CERTAINLY APPRECIATED HER. I have & will continue to visit and enjoy their DELICIOUS FOOD
The health inspections grades are lower than I like to see and it shows everywhere you look. Grease stains trailing out the backdoor, and a overall sloppy appearance makes me question my decision everytine I find myself waiting I line. Despite appearances the biscuits are the best in town so lines are long in the mornings and on the weekends. The customer service leaves alot to be desired.
The food is great. If they could just get a crew of people who actually wanted to be there and work instead of just collecting a check it would move the line a whole lot faster. The wait sucks. Prime example look at Chick filet I dont care how long the line is your in and out in 5 min.
Only because the people that work there are usually very nice and I love their breakfast that I gave them one star. I just ordered a burger and ask for mustard and pickle only, they covered it with soooo much mustard it was ridiculous! I would say it was about a half cup of mustard on that burger. Now if I had said extra mustard that would be different. I would have taken it back in but it seemed pointless because whoever made it obviously did it on purpose. Is a good rule to follow when youre making someones food and that is if YOU wouldnt eat it yourself, probably shouldnt serve it to customers. There are too many restaurants around for me to go back to that. I just paid $4 for a mustard Burger. 😕 Im really sad about it because I dearly love that restaurant.
Love thier steak biscuits but some of them or rude example I ordered estate biscuit and little bit of gravy when I asked him to please fix it they had a horrible attitude. So now when I go there I have to pay extra for an entire huge cup of gravy just to put a little bit on my discount
Martins has the best buscuits. They are light, buttery and fluffy. You can have them large or regular witch is big in its self. You have a variety of meats witch are bacon, sausage, tenderloin, steak not to mention a whole butterflied fried chicken breast witch is not dry but juicy. You can have cheese and the most fluffy scrambled eggs that melt in your mouth. They also have breakfast plates with hash browns. They also have a lunch menu that has delicious chili dog, Ribeye steak sandwich, tenderloin and yes a chicken sandwich made with they wonderful filet. When you visit you cant leave without trying their battered onion rings. You will be coming back again and again.

Dont bother with calling in your order. Youll be at the end of the line. Not the line that is currently inside. Theyll wait until literally everyone has left. Called in 30 minutes prior to arrival. Paid 2 minutes after getting to store. Waited anothere 30 minutes in the store. Found out my order had been set aside. Waited again. And they messed up the order when I did get it. I guess its my fault though I didnt go through the drive thru so Im not important.
Love Martins biscuits, speicaly the steak egg and cheese OMG there Off the FRINKIN CHANGE! Wish they would open one Here in Calhoun! Still hope they build one in Calhoun, we love there biscuits, there steak egg and cheese is awesome! Love you Martins! Keep up the good work!

2022-06-27I have been eating at Martin’s my entire life. The food is always good. The biscuits are fluffy and delicious plus the food always seems fresh. Been getting the Chicken, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit for a long time and it hasn’t gotten old. I have never felt like the service was sub par although wait time have always been a little high. However, my family and I just went through the drive through and we’re presently surprised by the cheerful attitude, politeness, and attention to detail that we received. When my wife ordered the young lady spoke very clearly and responded yes ma’am when replying to my wife’s questions. She was patient and repeated our order back to us to ensure everything was correct. When we arrived at the window we could instantly match the kind voice to the smiling face we were seeing.I asked the young ladies name, Brooklyn, and let her know that “This has been the best drive though experience I have had in years.” I would assume that she has a bit a happy disposition all the time, but her respect and professionalism were very impressive. This young lady has given me a little hope that there are hard working helpful people still entering the workforce. My suggestion to management would be to promote Brooklyn quickly and have her involve in creating customer experience training for the company. If she isn’t promoted someone is going to see what we did and offer her a better opportunity.

2022-05-19This is not the martins I grew up loving!!! They barely gave me enough gravy to cover the biscuit, they used to be packed with gravy. Not to mention the friendly workers that used to work there aren’t too friendly these days.

2022-07-03I have ate at Martins my entire life and I have always loved it. Especially their chicken biscuit or chicken sandwich add cheese. Well I havent lived in Georgia for a long time and came for a visit today and decided to get some Martins because I havent had it in a few months and I love it. Well my experience today made me very upset and throw up! I had ordered a chicken biscuit for my nephew, a steak sandwich for my fiance, and 2 chicken sandwiches add cheese. The 2 chicken sandwiches had no cheese no pickle and hair in it. And the lady making it had gloves on and kept touching everything else along with the food. Our fries were soaked in oil. All of it was cold definitely not fresh. Im very upset with this experience. I come all the way to Georgia just to get Martins sometimes. And this makes me not want to ever come back! 🤮😥🥺😞😠😡

2022-02-22Yes, its cheap down home cookin and yes, theres a line - around the building, through the next parking lot, and around the next building, too. The drive through takes about an hour on a Saturday morning. We went inside to order take out and it still took 34 minutes! Theres a bench or two inside so theres only space for about 5-8 people total to dine-in. Good & greasy, just dont show up too hungry!

2022-07-03I went there this morning. I sat in the long line for about 30 mins. Just to get to the speaker to order and the lady that took my order was very rude! Then I get my food home to realize they gave me very burnt hash browns (could not even eat them). And left sausage off my sausage plate. Im sorry, but yalls food isnt that great. Good enough for hangovers, but would never eat there on a good day. Definitely wont return to this one, ever.

2021-05-20When I arrived at Martins the line was wrapped around the building stretching all the way to the empty gas station next door. The line moved fairly quick. I was met with a friendly voice at the speaker. My order was filled perfectly and my food was hot and fresh. Tara, the cashier who took my order was friendly and efficient. Making my wait a pleasant experience. Its nice to see people who are able to work under pressure and still are friendly and professional. Thank you Tara!!

2022-07-04$150 worth of biscuits purchased for my place of business, not a single one correct. The manager couldn’t have cared less and seemed to be heavily under the influence when we spoke. i invite you to take a look INSIDE of this place, you’ll reconsider eating anything prepared here.

2022-05-01The wait time is ridiculous! I get it’s cooked to order but waiting in line for 40 mins in ridiculous! This is every Sunday I come here no matter if I come at 7, 8 , 9, 10 am! The food is good but the time needs much improvement!!! I don’t understand how it takes 30 mins to cook a biscuit or bacon

2022-05-31They have no excuse for the lobby still being closed. I see many people that need to get inside and can’t and in my opinion is p poor business. Hate to say it but it should be boycotted till they get their act together. 25 minutes for two sandwiches is too much.
