Mavis Tires & Brakes in other cities:
The Good: Through all of The Bad (below), the staff was generally accommodating. The Bad: We were having them replace 4 tires. After the call that the car was ready we went to the store and paid. When we got to the car we realized the old tires were still on. It was near closing time and they offered to get the car on the rack to change the tires ASAP. I did not want a rush job on installation and alignment. I told them wed pick it up the next morning. Next morning...new tires are on but the drivers seat, center console and door panel are smeared with grease. Really obvious on a tan interior. An employee came out with some towels and cleaned it up.We ultimately agreed on some bit of compensation for our inconvenience...for which I had to come in a third time to process with the manager. Write it up as indifference, incompetence or carelessness...I dont know. But its a bad showing from a company thats had very public issues with customer service in the past year. I think Im done with chain tire stores in general.
Came in around 12:30 for a slow-leak tire repair (with an appointment) and they informed me they were short-staffed and would probably not get me out until 2:30 but it might take longer - ok, I understood and was fine with that. They finally got to my car and got me out around 4:30 - longer than I would have liked but I knew that was a possibility. When I left the tire pressure was good, but the next morning the tire had lost half its pressure. I was here for 4 hours and they did not even repair the tire! If you cant even spend the time to actually fix the issue please just direct me to another store. Stay away.
Worst customer experience ever. Lied about when my car would be ready repeatedly. Never called to let me know when ready as promised. No one answered the phone when calling to verify if ready (multiple times of the day and on different days). I was kept waiting for hours because of false promises and timelines. On the day of bringing my vehicle, I offered to come back a later time if too busy but reassured they could maintenance my vehicle that day. I gave them over 4 hours and and when I returned, my vehicle was still in parking lot in same position. At which point, they took my vehicle back (10 minutes before 6pm closing time) and promised to call when done. I waited in parking lot until 6:40 and no one at front desk and 3 other people still waiting. I left because I was promised a call. No call nor any answer the next day when attempting to inquire the status of my vehicle.
So I had to come back and add comments because my visit here was absolutely phenomenal. The first day I came I believe the General manager’s name was Marcus and the front desk assistant/ Manager is Autumn. They were very helpful and Autumn is the most adorable youngin’ I’ve ever met. It was Day 2 for her on the job and she did great. Both were hilarious. So I set my appointment for today to receive the diagnostic and the manager today was Mr. Jonathan … a former Marine. Great conversation, very military friendly, and I was in and out within 45 mins to an hour. They did my diagnostic and fixed my tire on the same day. I moved to Georgia not even two years ago and I have now found my go-to Tire shop for the remainder of my stay while on my military tour duty.Bless their souls at this location.
I received great customer service from this store. They took the time to explain everything and made sure I was aware of the products and services I received. I feel confident and more knowledge about my car. Also Benjamin provided excellent customer service. I will be returning to this store!!!
This tire location was absolutely amazing. I actually came in just to get air in my tires and was very disappointed to find out I had a full hole in my front left tire. I was super annoyed because I was in a rush, and not only that I had just gotten new tires a few months back... Needless to say Antonio and Johnny turned my frown upside down and gave me the best customer service possible. They were hospitable, friendly, and super fast. Now I am a loyal customer and this is the only place I will be getting tires from in Atlanta here on out.
My boyfriend and I took a car to get a flat tire repaired. I thought this would be a good experience since another Mavis location screwed us over- we got here, dropped the car off, they called back within the hour saying it was fixed. They didnt make us pay anything, just leave a five star review. Seemed great, but we checked the tire this morning and it was flat again. It makes me think they didnt even bother looking or fixing the flat and are just soliciting customers for five star reviews to boost Google ratings. A huge waste of time and Im certainly not taking a car back to Mavis again.
I went here to get a tire with a slow air leak patched. The staff were super friendly and didnt charge me, but 2 days later the low pressure light was back and the air leak wasnt actually fixed. Not too mad since they didnt charge me, but a little annoyed to waste my time.
Having only been in GA for a few weeks and being by myself, my husband was afraid that I would be taken advantage of because I’m a woman. This was definitely not the case. Nicolas not only explained everything to me, he allowed me to FaceTime with my husband so I could show him the location of the nail that was sticking out of my tire. Nicholas talked to my husband over the phone to find the best tire that would fit my car. I will definitely be a repeat customer.
Sent my sister here for her car overheating. Problem wasnt fixed because they claim its not overheating. Car overheated as soon as she left. Poor communication, very poor attitude, disrespectful and very little professionalism from the staff Johnny the store manager especially. Im sure he wouldnt have used the nasty tone or used such negative language with my sister had I been present, all because he was either not knowledgeable enough to find the problem or to lazy to find the problem. Dont bother with this location if your a Woman, they are lazy uncertified mechanics chasing a dollar.
Great customer service from the manager and associate. I came in before my appointment time and was done within a hour. Gave me a good quality Goodyear tire for my Mercedes. All my tires have been purchased at Mavis. Thoroughly recommend purchasing your tires with Mavis.
Worst experience ever!!! Workers had zero professional skills and customer service was awful! This location really has taken a dive since Ive taken my vehicle there in the past. I left without getting service after waiting almost 2 hours while my car set in the parking lot. This location really shouldnt represent your company.
My experience here at Mavis tires and brakes has been awesome I think that some of my tires are low and just to be on the safe side I was in this area and stopped by and asked them to please check them out for me and Im a 70 year old woman I dont leave the house much but the gentleman that
Costumer service is horrible. Management is poor. I waited 4 hours just to install my new tires. Some people waited 5 hours just for a leak in a tire. An old man had to come back because they put the wrong tire in his car and He had to wait 3 more hours. Store said “they were running behind because of short staff” but they were accepting more clients. They play with costumer’s time. PLEASE DON’T GO TO THIS PLACE
Benjamin Carter the current manager did a great job rectifying a corporate complaint. Snellville location placed the wrong size tires on my Mercedes GL450 which caused further damage and corporate resolved the issue. I caught a flat tire recently and only paperwork I had was for the wrong size tires from Snellville. So it caused a minor issue with getting the tread life warranty for the correct size tire since I had a paper tag my service history did not pull up. However I kept my receipt. Mr. Carter realized what had happened and the warranty was granted and his customer service was great. I also watched him handle another dissatisfied customer with diligence and must say he does his job well as that customer left satisfied. I’m sure this location will continue to improve with Mr. Carter as the manager and as this location rebuilds their team/staff.
Had appointment Sunday for 4 new tires, came in they couldnt keep the appointment. Come back Tuesday dropped car off at 10:45am and was was told 3 hour wait. Car was ready at 6:15pm (7 hrs). Next few days tires begin leaking air so took it back several days later and they have me wait 4 hrs this time and want to charge me a %.... also tires are still leaking ...called corporate and they are just as bad in fact worse, they did nothing.
The service and the staff are courteous and friendly. I appreciate the communication from management in reference to possible wait times and any mishaps that may occur ahead of time. They are great at showing customer appreciation by providing complimentary services rendered for their customers inconvenience. I highly recommend this place for your car care.
My former, solicited review: I haven’t even picked my car up yet, but this place definitely gets 5 stars. The woman working the desk is so friendly and helpful!!After actually receiving the service, I went home from getting new tires and the front one was flat. I was told it would be 10-15 minutes to get it fixed, and I’ve been here for almost an hour. When I asked for a time check because my babysitter was needing to leave, the nice and accommodating attitude completely changed. I was made to feel as if I was in the wrong for not being able to wait, when I was sold a dangerous and defective tire. I will never come here again.
This team worked so quickly to patch our tire and did not charge us for it. We of course tipped them, but what an incredible team. Had us in and out in 1.5 hours and had a full line of people also needing help. Busy but helpful and so kind. Can’t recommend this place enough.
Fast and friendly service.I discovered a piece of metal strapping from a construction site in one of my tires this morning after my tire pressure warning light lit up in the dashboard. Knowing that the Church Street Mavis location is always slammed, I gave this second location, on Dekalb Industrial, a try.Not only were they able to fit me in immediately, but they were able to patch the small slice for me so I didn’t have to purchase two new, matching tires! Helping me keep money in my pocket always equals 5-star service in my book! Thanks guys!
This place is Amazing! I went in to get a tire checked because a sensor issue was present. I was fully prepared to pay for another tire and or three tires if needed because I have the run flats which no one has in stock. Not only did they have them in stock, when they checked out the tire, They found out that I had too much air in my tires which was activating the sensor. They saved me so much money and time! Highly recommend!
I visited Mavis tires & brakes for the first time yesterday, George an the store manager (Tj) where more then helpful an very respectful. I’m going back to my hometown for the holiday an needed new tires, a oil change AND a wheel alignment ASAP an they got me in the same day. I am overly thankful for there help, I will definitely be back thank you :)!!!
So this store finally got smart, they brought in a manager that knows the business, is very professional, and is really trying to bring the shop back. Mavis corporate needs to give him and this store some needed support to bring this ship back. I have lived in the are 16 years and Theo use to be my go to store and at first it was good then it started going down and periodically over the years I would give it another try and it would have new managers but still awful experience they had fallen into. Recently Mavis has been buying up other shops and this young man they have here now is from the store I had changed to, when I heard he was back, I knew it would be my store again. Now I hope corporate does their part in cleaning this store up, refreshing the colors and supporting the team in this store to make the turn around. It won’t be easy but it can be done and I honestly think they made a great choice in a manger.I will be back for sure as long as he is here and the service remains like he is running it.
Well I can start by saying that it was the best experience I have ever had in my life I had went in to fix all the brakes on my car and I had came with all off my seven kids and I can say that my kids really loved the staff and everyone in the place they were so sweet they made us feel like we were all family I will definitely will be coming back
After making my appointment online, I received a confirmation call the next morning for the time scheduled. I was received in a timely fashion and the car was serviced in less time than was offered. After I was done with my services, I was given suggestions on further upkeep on my car in the future. It was a pleasant experience, all around. Ive used the same company in other locations, but this location is my favorite.
My husband took the car here for a brake job. They didnt check the back brakes because we learned we needed those about 40 days later. They kept saying the rotors were off that they did in the front. They asked us to bring it back on a certain day and then told us it would be 4 hours until they got to our vehicle. We ended up having to take it somewhere. NEVER GO HERE!! They need new management and new workers
I’ve been to this location twice within the last 6 months and I’ve been so impressed! The frontline team is knowledgeable, honest, courteous, patient, understanding and fair. They communicate with the back of the house and set the expectations for the customer providing excellent customer service. They make you want to come back. Hell, I did! My coworker was shocked I took my car there because of the previous company’s reputation. But, I told her about my positive, previous experiences, and how I trust them with my baby.THE REASON FOR MY VISIT TODAY: My serpentine belt failed today. I was able to get it there by 1:30, my car was ready at 3:30, and the price was surprisingly low! I’ll definitely be back for the recommended services. It’s a completely different experience from the other company that was there years ago. I highly recommend this location and I think I’ll give them another shot at servicing the fleet I manage.
I had the tire sensors changed in my old car. The staff was quick and competent, and the repair was priced at a discount. If you have to wait a bit, the snack machine is well stocked, and they have WiFi and cable TV. It was kind of empty when I went there, so I chatted with the staff for a while. Afterward, I took this selfie of us all. (Im in the mask.) Having worked in the auto industry myself, the only advice Id give them would be to complete the corporate branding switch from NTB to Mavis, including a makeover of the waiting room, furniture, and all public-facing areas indoors and out. I know many automotive customers dont know auto repair and the inner workings of their cars, so theyre often jumpy about whether to trust mechanics. I see no evidence of anything worrisome in this shop. The shop and staff appear above board and trustworthy to me. I have bought tires from them in the past and have had other work done always competently and for a fair to discounted price. My regular mechanic, who is extremely competent and trustworthy, always sends me over to Mavis for anything tire-related because he doesnt have the equipment for that. A branding makeover might set worrying minds at ease.
I called Mavis after I received the worst customer service at Wal-Mart auto center Gresham rd. The best switch I must say. Mitch answered the phone and was courteous and helpful!!! I got tires for a great deal! They took a little longer than he stated which typically would have been okay but I needed to take my daughter back to school in Alabama. Tay signed me in and out. She kept the customers informed of where we were in the process. She gave me the essential worker discount I work for the state and havent missed a day of work during the pandemic. The oil change is a little more pricey than Im use to. Im not sure if Ill return for that but Ill definitely always price check with them first! Keep up the great work. My tires look great!
Michelle handled my reservation with courteousness and amazing customer service. Shawn completed the installation of my new battery in record time. After putting off this service all week due to negative experiences with auto care in the past, I am so glad I was referred to Mavis. It was my first time trying the company out, but it certainly will not be the last. Thank you to Michelle and her entire team!
Nice front end staff but the experience was not good. Luckily I asked multiple times did you look at my tires... Went from they are great to when I showed up, one was damaged and needed to be replaced after being told all was ok. The staff were nice but the details are what matters when your life is on the line. Makes you lose trust in the ones you need to rely on to make sure youre safe....
Ive been using this location for several years including when it was a NTB location. While its now a Mavis Tire location, Ive found the service here to be top notch. In particularly, this morning, the store manager (TJ) went well beyond my expectations in helping me figure out an air leak with one of my tires. I super appreciate their persistence in figuring out the issue and giving me the piece of mind that it has been resolved.
TJ and his crew diagnosed my issue with shot struts on my 1999 Subaru. The price quoted was MUCH lower than the dealer and even lower than an independent shop for lifetime warranty Monroe shocks. They also replaced needed front brake pads while at it for a small add-on. There were temporary issues with the parts supplier with the rear shocks that required me to come back the following morning to complete the installation. and another issue with a stubborn rusted bolt that refused to move, but these minor issues were resolved with good communication. The shop is professional and not terribly busy, so they were able to fit me in on a walk in basis.
Have had several great experiences in the past few months. Most recently I went in for tires but the Service manager ( I think his name was Guy or Gus) pointed out a few other important maintenance repairs needed. I wasnt happy about spending the extra $$ but it was worth the safety and my car was ready by the time I got off my shift.
Best customer service Ive received from a sales consultant in quite some time! The young lady Tay was extremely professional and attentive to my needs, she understood that I really didnt know what I was doing, so she made sure everything was taken care of! I appreciate her ability to multitask and make sure everyone there was acknowledged! Thank you Tay, I will be back and I will recommend you and the company to my family and friends!!
Mavis--like much of the country--is clearly understaffed right now; however, that didnt stop them from offering top-notch service and working as fast as they could. On a busy sunday afternoon, there was one person working the desk/calls and two technicians in the back with a room full of people. They were a well-oiled machine (no pun intended) getting people checked in, answering calls, giving realistic estimates on wait times and getting people out the door and about their day as soon as possible. Refreshing to see in these times!
TJ is a great store manager and takes time to talk to customers and check in with them and provide updates. I appreciate this location for taking time to explain what was going on with my car and not disregard my concerns. Thank you to regional district manager Mr. Jamal flowers for transferring my service to this location from the Church Street one. All we want as customers sometimes is an attentive listening ear, empathy, and good communication.
Terrible service. So many issues dont know where to start.1. Promised to complete my vehicles the next day. I left the cars there an extra day and still wasnt ready.2. When I came the manager opened up after 10am when 10 to 15 customers were waiting to get there cars at 8am when they were supposed to open.3. No one answered phone nor call you to let you know the status of your vehicle. I got very simple things done and still had so many problems.I would stay away from them.
Tj the store manager gave me the best experience I have ever had over my car. I have a newborn 10 weeks old. I needed my car fixed ASAP. My ac was broke and I obviously can’t have that with a newborn baby in 80-90 degree weather. Everyone else I went to had a waitlist due to Covid. There we’re no appointments. He squeezed me in and got it done fast. Which I really ask appreciated because I don’t last long sitting for hours with a baby. He has great customer service. I felt like he was actually concerned and really helped me as a customer. I will be visiting again for future needs.
Dont go here. They have no grasp on the concepts of appointments or communication. I had a 9 oclock appointment. At 9:45 my car was still in the parking lot. When I asked what was going on I got a litany of excuses, all of which could have and should have been communicated to me upon check in or any time in the 45 minutes I was sitting in the waiting area. They have no respect for your time.So I called the number they asked me to call for customer complaints. The lady I spoke with was very nice and apologetic. She said she would escalate it to the district or regional manager (I cant recall which) Jamal and he would get back with me probably tomorrow, Wednesday. Here we are on Friday with no call. Yet another collasal waste of my time. Mavis Tires DOES NOT care about your time.
I had the most pleasant experience with George at the Dekalb Industrial location. I had an issue with my tire on a Sunday and was so stressed that I was going to be without a car. I spoke with George who provided great information on the process of replacing my tire and was so helpful to make this experience peaceful and stress-free. I would highly recommend my family and friends to George at this location any and every time! He was awesome!
I had a great experience here today! They were friendly, fast, and honest (I overheard the manager telling a customer that she wasn’t due for an oil change yet and to save her $). They patched my tire up quickly and I was on my way. Lots of seats outside and places to socially distance. All the employees I encountered wore masks, noses covered. Thank you Mavis Tires!
Went to Mavis this week to get a tire for my vehicle and was greeted by Stephen the store manager,Gust and George. They is very friendly, warm welcoming, professional, and well knowledgeable about the work they do.Every question I asked they knew the answer within the blink of an eye. You can just tell they enjoys doing the work they does. Will highly recommend anyone to them
I have to admit that I had my reservation coming back to this location after I had to get a new motor. I gave it another chance. They are under new management now Stephen the Store Manger was able to squeeze me in after showing up to the wrong location. (Made an appointment for Church Street by accident) And Gus the Service Manager really took care of me today during pick up. Very helpful, patient, and informative. There is hope after all. THANK GUYS!
This is our first time here and the service was superb and fast. Reese called us ahead of time to confirm our appointment and to let us know about the different tires available since I put in the wrong size. She also honored the price that I booked with online and that was great. Chris kept us informed of the services that we needed and how much it would cost us. Or wait time was decent considering the work that we needed done. We will definitely return.
I was was very pleased with my experience on last week. I know nothing about tires and my husband usually handles this like that. Stephen at the DeKalb industrial location store came to my rescue and help me out and it was not a struggle. I needed a new tire and he had me in and out and I really appreciate it.
I brought my car in yesterday because I had a flat and the tire was under warranty with NTB before Mavis took over. They are clearly understaffed, as the wait was very long, but when I finally was helped the gentleman that took care of me was very kind and seemed to really care about helping people and his job. The only saving grace for this location. They repaired the hole in the tire with a patch at no cost, but when I went to get in my car this morning it was flat again. What was the point of that? Disappointing and a major inconvenience. I will not return.
I visited your facility in Decatur GA, and I was very satisfied with the urgency given. My car had a nail in the tire and they were closing they made an effort to stay open to help me out. I was very satisfied with the customer service and quickness to get it finished. Thanks to Tay Tay and the manager.
Take my vehicle here today to get an tire replace. Because it had an nail on the side wall of the tire. The gentleman working the front desk was very professional and helpful. The sevice was slow. But it was worth the wait. Thank you guys for your service. Five stars.
A little bit of a longer wait time to fix my vehicle, but I really like the fact that the mechanic working on my car was very personable and let me know what was going on verbatim. Also, I was able to receive financing on getting the work done. Overall a very good tire company! Recommended.
Was having a very complicated day with one car in another shop and my mothers cars front tires low. Stopped in to try this location and they were very helpful, got it in that afternoon, diagnosed loose stems and tightened up at no charge and got that car back on the road. Thank you very much for your care for the public.
Took my car there for two front tires and an oil change. Left 5.5 hours later with a broken car key, dead battery and poorly installed tires. Do not let Yoshi service your vehicle. He passively tried to push me to have several expensive “repairs” done to my car. After a back and forth about “taking to his manager” and “looking out for me” I was exhausted and asked for two tires so I could leave. Went to start my car, after my key broke right in the presence on the manager who looked dumbfounded, and the battery was dead. Battery is less than 4 years old. Yoshi manhandled my car key. Probably dropped it and rolled over it with some equipment. Oh and the inside door handle area was also cracked. I’ve called the customer service number twice and was told a regional manager would call me. No call. I guess I’d better call Harry or the BBB. Something will be done.
I wouldnt trust my car with anybody else but Marvis Tire on Dekalb Industrial. They were very informative on the issues my vehicle was having, answered all my questions without hesitation, thoroughly! Impeccable customer service, very polite and respectful. Choose Marvis Tire & you most definitely will be in good hands. I’m highly satisfied with the service they provided, I couldn’t be happier!
My service today freaking phenomenal . I could not have asked for better customer service. They took there time with me and the manager made sure I was well taken care of and felt safe. I will forever continue to use them as long as I drive. When attending mavis ask for Reese or Chris. They will make sure you recieve excellent service.
I stopped in because my tire pressure light came on and Tj said to give him a few mins that he will look at it. Maybe five mins went by and tj came out and checked all my tires and made sure the pressure was good in all of them. He also offered to check my fluid levels while I was there. I will def be doing business with Tj real soon
My third time here but service repair has gone down and Ive noticed this especially when Stephen the manager isnt onsite!!! Arrived 8:10am today for oil change and to fix the engine shield they didnt put on correctly the last oil change! I left at 9:40am, NO OIL change nor replacement or repair of the engine shield!!! My car was never even looked at so Im done. Stephen has great customer service skills but Im going back to Stockbridge where I moved from to my old mechanic!! 35 minute drive versus 10 minutes to Mavis. My time was wasted for no reason and thats a BIG issue for me!
I was very impressed with your service today. I was very please from the customer service and the service done on my car it feels brand new. I will recommend anyone to this mavis location the whole staff is so polite and easy going it’s worth the wait trust me 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾Great deals and discounts. It’s a good place to invest in when it comes to your car services.
In short, on December 24, 2020 the general manager of Mavis Tires and Brakes, Mr. Stephen Chapman, went above and beyond the call of duty to help my daughter and I get our (rental) flat fixed. After driving to two vendors, (who was no longer in business at the address given by Alamo), I refused to drive to a third unless they were able to guarantee an appointment. Not being able to confirm an appointment with another vendor until Monday, December 28th, Mr Chapman agreed to help. With most, if not all, vendors closing early (3pm) on Christmas Eve, we would have been stranded had Mr. Chapman not worked us into an already tight schedule. Thank you Sir. We appreciate you.
Made an appointment for 9am. Showed up at 9am. They didn’t have any techs to work on the car at 9am. Poorly run place. The place is dirty and looks like it is falling to pieces. The customer waiting area and facilities are not up to snuff.Stick to Discount Tire. A far more professional and consistent service provider than Mavis tires
This location used to be a NTB but it was purchased by Mavis. I came to get 2 new tires, breaks bled and back brakes replaced. I arrived at 8am and im still here. I was advised that I need my rooters replaced, which I did and it would probably be an additional 1hr to complete. I should have had my work completed at 11am. It is now 12:36pm and Im still waiting. Apparently the brake pads that were installed were faulty and had to be replaced. The parts company came back to the location and brought the wrong brake pads. So now I have to wait for them to take off the bad pads and replace them with the correct ones.
They didnt quite seem to know what they were doing, but they tried. Also they might have broken my throttle cable a little bit, but they also did their best to fix it (with my help, at one point). Everyone was friendly and when my oil change turned into leaving my car there for a few days, the manager drove me home herself, which was very sweet. Once the head mechanic had a chance to look at my car he fixed it pretty quickly, and whats more, he offered to do work on it with my parts! Most places will demand that you let them buy the parts and charge an outrageous mark up, so I really appreciate a mechanic willing to sell his services alive without insisting on also doing the ordering. I can see why some of the low ratings were given, and maybe Im simply more patient than most, but I feel like these are real people working here and theyre just doing their best.
Earlier today I dropped off my Jeep at the store located on Dekalb Industrial Way in Decatur Georgia. This location was previously a NTB that I have been coming to for years and have also recommended it to multiple friends and family. When I returned to pick up my Jeep I opened the drivers door and immediately noticed a rip in the seat. I went back into the store to report what I found. The service manager came to the front to see and then asked another employee to look. Upon looking at the damage the employee told me it was wear and tear. I informed both the service manager and employee that the rip was not there when I dropped my jeep off for the oil change. They returned to the store telling me they were going to contact someone. After waiting for a few minutes I went into the store lobby and asked what was going on. At that time the service manager told me that they didnt do it and he didnt know what I wanted him to say. I again told him that the rip was not there when I dropped off my jeep at which time he told me I was lying. To be sure I heard him correctly I asked if that was really what he just told me. He then stormed off to the back aggressively telling me that I was ridiculous. In an attempt to find out what to do next I contacted customer support who told me that the regional manager would be contacting me but that he gets off at 6pm so it would be tomorrow.. Its only 4pm!!! If he gets off at 6pm and its 4pm now why do I have to wait??*Update* Its now Monday 7/6/20 @ 4:30 pm and I have yet to be contacted!
Great experience. I called one store to inquire about prices. They looked up my size for the tire best suited for my vehicle. They did not have the items in stock, but quickly referred me to another store close by that had my tires in stock. I got there and Marcus Gibson was extremely helpful. I had to be at work soon and was completely ready to take an Uber. Marcus said he could get the work done in time for me to get to work. They got it done for me 20 minutes early! Thanks Marcus!
Bobby was sooo efficient and knowledgeable! Yay Tay was the best head of the front of the house personnel! She is new and made me feel so at ease. I love this NTB! Between the two of them, you get the best of both worlds. My Jeep runs great and they both made me smile and so glad that I continue to come here!
Love Going Here They Are Very Efficient And The Customer Service Is Always Excellent! Would Recommend Them To Anyone Needing Something Fixed, They Will Get You Right Every Time! The Manager Steven Will Make Sure Your Car is Good As New And Everything is Working As It Should!

Thank y’all very much!
Mavis Tire & Brake425 DeKalb Industrial WayDecatur, GA 30030Mr. Stephen Chatman, GMThank you for helping us with excellent service on Thursday, December 24, 2020, at a time when we most needed it.I apologize for having taken this long to write this comment, but I was confronted with multiple issues when I returned home. You repaired our flat and helped us get back on the road, after we had been given the run-around by the rental car company, Alamo, who was unable to serve us because their vendor list was pathetically out of date.As you remember, I had already gone to one of their recommended vendors, Firestone (now TiresPlus), before coming to your shop (Mavis). I ended up at Mavis because Alamo customer service directed me to this address thinking it was still NTB. Both Firestone and NTB had been acquired by someone else. After these two failed attempts to get service, I was directed to Pepboys who stated they could not service/repair the flat until Tuesday, December 29th. CRAZEE !!Had you not acted in the manner that you did, agreeing to help us without an appointment on a Christmas Eve, we would have certainly been stranded in Atlanta over the holidays and forced to cancel our trip to North Carolina.Again, we are eternally grateful to you, Stephen, for helping us resolve this issue. I salute you.Sincerely,Mahdi
Very disappointing experience. I made an appointment online and assumed that it would be an easy repair. Walked in at 2pm and didnt leave until close to 5pm. And this was all for one tire. Yes...just one. I needed one tire replaced and it took almost 3 hours. Completely Unacceptable. If the shop was running behind they should have communicated that with me when I walked in the door. But I was left to ponder why it would take hours to put one new tire on my car...I had to go up to the counter a number of times and check and see when the work would be done. Half the time the employees werent sure what car was being worked on or what repairs had been done or not done. It took 1 hour for someone to just look at my tire and determine if the tire needed to be patched or if a new one needed to be purchased. I would have been a lot more understanding if I was kept up to speed about the repair time.I will go to another repair shop or back to my dealership next time.
I used to go here for all of my car services, but I noticed something being wrong with my car after every time I went. I spent almost 900$ at this place, for the guy at the front to be very rude Manager was very welcoming but workers acted like they did not like their job nor customers. Will not come back
I made an appointment here for an oil change. They told me on the phone it would take a maximum of an hour (which is what it has taken at other places in the past). It took over 2.5 hours to get my oil changed even with the appointment. I asked the staff if that was a normal experience and they said yes. Would not recommend this place. Staff is very friendly but service is as slow as a glacier. They didn’t make me pay for my oil change, which is kind of then. Unfortunately, they also got grease all over the interior of my car.
This place is the worst!! Bout brand new tires a month ago now loosing air pressure in the front two.. Had them checked prior to coming to make sure it wasnt anything on my end.. Ive been waiting two hrs.. Ask for my key to leave and have been waiting 30 more mins and counting just to get it and still havent gotten it..this place needs to be shut down immediately!
I wish I could rate this place a zero!I made an appointment to get new tires and an oil change and dropped my vehicle off at 11 am. I was told it would take about 2 hours and I would receive a call. I should have gotten a call by 1pm or 2 pm at the least, but no call as of 5 pm, so I called and spoke with Corey and was told it was ready for pick up.I arrived and paid for the service, (Oil Change alone was $123.98!!!). I started up my vehicle to find my oil sensor status indicator still stated oil change due, so I went back into the store and asked Corey if they could reset my oil status indicator. Corey took my vehicle back into the shop area and after waiting 30 more minutes I asked Corey what was taking so long. He told me that they are working on it. 50 minutes later, Corey finally pulled my vehicle back around, I get in and the indicator is STILL not reset. So, I proceed back into the store and the technician, Garrett, who was actually working on my vehicle, came out front and stated that he tried to reset the light but was unable to get it done. So I asked him why did Corey tell me that it was? Garrett stated Oh, I didnt tell him I wasnt able to do it. Then he told me I should come back tomorrow when the lead technician is here. I said to him, Its ridiculous that my vehicle has been here all day AND I had to waste another 50 minutes waiting for service that should have been completed when the oil changed was done! Garrett then told me that I should be considerate of the fact that hes the only technician on shift at the time. I told him This is not MY business, so its no concern of mine how many technicians are on shift. Also, that I am a paying customer so he should be considerate of MY time and money. Mr. Garrett was very rude and very unprofessional. Then, after wasting an additional 50 min of my time, and being rudely spoken to by Garrett, as Im driving home, I get an notification that theres TOO MUCH oil in the vehicle now/which can/will cause damage to it.I will never return to this business for service and I highly discourage anyone else from taking their vehicle there. I will be giving the store manager, Mr. Anthony Hill, a call tomorrow.
Very friendly staff. They squeezed me in on a busy Saturday to patch my tire. They were fast and got me on my way very quickly. Seems like the new management is paying off.It looks like this location is getting an interior upgrade soon. And they have a nice waiting area that is outside.I will try them again when I have other tire work that needs to be done.
NTB now Mavis Tires, it took over 3 weeks and 4 appointments to get 4 tires. Come in for appointment and tires wasnt there, tried again same result ni phone call nothing. Tried a different location same result, ended up putting on tires that I didnt order that, they choose to use as a replacement. Called customer service and was disconnected after waiting on line for over an hour. Service is a joke.
I made an appointment ahead of time. I have a slow leak in one tire. Been here 2 hours and still waiting. An hour into me being here they tell me all the upsell repairs I need. When I ask about my tire, they forgot to look at the tires. After being here for two hours they didnt look at the one thing I wanted looked at. I will drive 30 minutes bext time to the Duluth location. So for one tire to be fixed with an appointment I made prior it took 3 1/2 hours. They made an attempt to make me happy by paying for my tire sensor. Which is appreciated. I felt the manager was very sweet and tried. I will say that the mechanic who drove my car got my car dirty as hell and their is black grease all over the inside of my car!!!!
The first time I came to this location for a tire rotation and oil change. Everything seemed to be in order until I go to check out, and the cashier tells me they didn’t rotate the tires because they didn’t need to be rotated and that the tires were wearing evenly. I have been rotating the tires every 5000 miles, so it’s no wonder why they are wearing evenly. I didn’t wanna wait any longer, so I just let it go. I decided to give them another chance, mostly because it’s the closest location to me, and went in several weeks later for a tire rotation. The same cashier from the last time tried to talk me out of getting a tire rotation saying that most people get their tires rotated with an oil change or another service. I was livid. Against my better judgment, I go ahead and get the tires rotated. Afterwards when I go to get in my car, it smelled like cigarette smoke. I will never go to this location ever again! This place a joke!
Despite all the one star reviews, I decided to give this NTB a chance. I had a slow leak in one of my tires and needed an alignment for an upcoming road trip. The service was friendly and professional. They did all the work in a timely manner, and it was done within the time they quoted me. I was so pleased! I asked why they got such bad reviews on yelp and google. They told me that they had been under new management and those reviews were written before the current managers and staff worked there. This place deserves 5 stars!
Theyre giving out free tire rotations and alignments! 5 stars for the generosity, 1 star because it wasnt my car and someone gave them a fake number (mine) and theyre harassing me for payment. Protip - get your money BEFORE giving the keys back - like EVERYONE ELSE DOES.
Started off a little rocky. The Mavis Tire Corporation does not seem to have their IT systems worked out. We had the tire warranty insurance.None of the locations seem to be connected. We had to drive to a few locations to get the right tires figured out.BUT, once we got to the Decatur location. ShaTerel stepped in and up. Completely took care of us. We were on a very tight time frame. We were committed to an event in Dacula and needed a tire repaired quick. She made it easy, KEPT HER PROMISE ON TIMING, (which we all know is not very common in the tire business) and was very pleasant to work with.ShaTerel was awesome. Well be back for all our maintenance and repairs.
The only reason this is getting 1 star is because the manager - if you want to call him that - rectified my issue immediately when I pointed it out.I took my car in with a 5:30 appt for a synthetic oil change - so around $77 or so, not a cheap $20 job. I came in 15 minutes early, and it was not very busy. It took 40 minutes for them to get my car back to the shop. Then when they brought it back up - I asked the guy who brought it around where the front left tire went (they do rotations, and I had a patch on that tire, so I wanted to know where it ended up for when I replace them). He told me back left. I went out to the car, and I guess theyre used to lying to people, or dealing with dummies, but the tires were never rotated. I went in, and the manager had him bring it back immediately - another worker. This guy acted like he didnt know that oil changes come with a tire rotation. The workers do the bare minimum at best.Almost laughably - they had different mileage on my work order vs what I told them, then the sticker on the inside of the windshield read 10k miles LOWER than what I brought the car in at. Apparently addition is beyond them as well. Oh, and they didnt even take off the sticker from the last oil change place. Also, they didnt reset the Change Oil Soon counter, he said he didnt know how. It literally tells you which button to press, and if the car is on, tells you to turn it off and put it in accessory.Lazy. Lazy, incompetent mechanics. All said and done, I got out of there at 7:15pm.Go elsewhere. Hell, do it yourself. Itll take less time and even if you know nothing about cars youll probably get better service.
I went to NTB in Decatur after having a terrible experience at another repair shop. I went in knowing exactly what the issue with my car was. After NTB keeping my car for a week of diagnostics, they told me it was a totally different issue and did not mention the issue I originally came in for. I let them correct the issue they spoke of, after the service rep ordered the wrong part, I did get a discount on my services which I am thankful for, but they had to keep my car a day longer than expected. ONE DAY after getting my car back in my possession, the issue at hand started again with my car. I took it right back that day. After sitting 3 hours, they finally told me of another issue my car was doing and yet again ignored the ORIGINAL issue I had came in for the first AND second time. I kindly asked for my keys back and took my car home. I will never go to NTB, much rather this location again. Apparently they have no clue what they are doing and are just after the money/getting as many cars in as possible to meet their service quota. I was told they were the best repair shop as a whole in Atlanta, but Id rather go to a mom&pop shop over this big brand company. My experience was that ridiculous.
After reading the reviews here, I was scared and skeptical, but I needed a tire change in a hurry (all four tires). The manager, Ms. Reese, was helpful and polite. Perhaps she might have explained the tire warranty before putting it on the estimate, but she was fine about taking it off when I requested it.She told me that it would take about 2.5 hours. I asked her to call me 20 mins before it was done. It took the time she said it would and she called me as I asked. The tires appear to be good and well aligned, although I need to drive a bit more to confirm. My only gripe is that they didnt fully close the front hood, which I discovered when I was on the freeway.
Should have trusted the reviews, they seem to never fail. Walked in 6:23pm, there was a customer at the counter and from the talk seemed to have already filed a complaint, he was getting some tires replaced and balanced and was told it would take 30 - 45 mins, when it was our turn, we were asked if we were there for a pick up when we asked about getting tire patched the response was dont have the time, that was literally the response, nothing else said after. Horrible customer service.
These guys are crooks. They suckered me into doing a prepaid oil change package where I got a few free. Worst mistake ever since I was then committed to these guys for a couple years. Their customer service sucks and they take forever to do work. I wouldnt even be surprised if they dont do the work and just slap a new sticker on your window for the next oil change. One time I went in and forgot to remind them about the prepaid oil change. I realized it shortly after I paid. They wouldnt refund me to let me use my credit. Im surprised this location is still in business.
On February 22nd I took my 2015 Dodge Dart in to this NTB location for a simple tune up.( Spark plugs, fuel system cleans etc.) I arrived before 12 p.m that day. My car was pulled into the garage within an hour, The manager and staff SEEMED to be very knowledgeable and nice at first. I left the location around 3:30 . Soon as I drove off the parking lot I notice my car was acting the same way before I had it serviced. So I did wait a couple of days and I returned to the location on February 25th to have the vehicle looked at again to see why the problem wasnt fixed. When I walked in the door around 12 P.m on the 25th. A guy at the counter who remembered me from the previous visit stated Oh Yeah Your car Needs Ignition Coils. Before the car was even pulled to the garage! So on this day I received service for ignition coils and purchased two new tires and had the tires rotated etc. When I drove out the parking lot at 6:50 p.m 10 minutes before they closed! I was still having the same problem with the car! So after being at the location for almost 7 Hours, They still did not fix the problem! After calling and speaking with corporate I was given an appointment at another NTB location (Mountain Industrial ) On March 1st . I arrived to the Mountain industrial location for my 9:30 a.m appointment meet with the manager Mr Martin who was very nice and Professional. Mr Martin and his staff did another inspection of my vehicle, Just to find that the previous NTB location Dekalb Industrial , Had basically just took my money ! The parts that they had put on were OLD and POOR QUALITY! AND MY BRAND NEW TIRES WERE PUT ON BACKWARDS/ INSIDE OUT ! Which I didnt even know was possible. Mr Martin had to order brand new parts and redo the whole tune up! Also Had to Reinstall my tires and re balance them etc. I would not recommend ANYONE TO GO TO THE DEKALB INDUSTRIAL NTB LOCATION The manager became very rude when I brought my vehicle back to the location and the service was TERRIBLE. Even the mechanics arent getting paid for their work ! They will have you sitting in the lobby ALL DAY and not even acknowledge you being there.

2022-02-23Go see Nate and Lynne. Great customer service, helped me out with an oddball set of tires for my equipment trailer. I called 6 other shops - this location had them available next day and for the best price. Everyone else was a week or more of lead time and much higher price.

2022-05-08Amazing service! I showed up at the store just after they had closed with 2 flat tires. The manager, Benjamin, offered to open the store back up to help replace my flats. Benjamin did all this with professionalism and a smile. The tires were replaced quickly and at a great price. I have been a Mavis customer for several years and based on this experience, I will happily continue to be one. I highly recommend this location and the manager, Benjamin. They value individual customers, a very rare commodity these days...

2022-04-30Excellent tire quality, great prices, wonderful work, detailed warranties, and superb customer service! I went there around 1:30 PM, and the gentleman who helped me told me he would have my tires put on by 5:30, even if he had to stay late. He was also very helpful, friendly, and personable in his demeanor. Then I came back earlier around 4:30 and the car was already ready with the new tires put on.Highly recommend this tire shop!

2022-03-22Benjamin Carter and staff was very helpful and offered great customer service! Although they were short staffed they were working hard to take care of as many customers as possible. I had to wait a little while and he explained that to me due to other customers ahead of me, however, the service was well worth the wait! Thank you guys so very much for taking care of me and my vehicle. It took me an hour in a half to get home but I felt at ease and safe getting there because you all cared. Keep up the great work and remember team work make the dream work along with patient and understanding customers. Job well done!

2022-02-09Zero stars!! Made an appointment online to take our car in for four new tires. Appointment was for noon on Sunday. We arrive and they say they have longer than normal wait times. No problem. We tell them to feel free to keep the car until Monday morning. We call mid-afternoon Monday when we havent heard the car is ready for pickup and they tell us they dont have the tires we made an appointment to get, but will upgrade us slightly for the same price. They didnt call to tell us, but, again, no problem. They say the car will be done by the end of the day. We call at 5:00 and they are just pulling it into the garage for the first time. Now we are looking at Tuesday. Go to pick the car up Tuesday just before closing and it is ready. My husband checks out, the employee asks for a five star review and my husband leaves. He doesnt take a good look at the car because he is running late to pick up our son. Pulls in to pick up kid and realizes THEY TOOK $500 AND DIDNT CHANGE THE TIRES! They didnt do anything on the car for three days and took our money. They claimed that they couldnt process a refund. Avoid these folks at all costs. At best they are incompetent, but more likely they are criminals.

2022-01-17Mavis did an exceptional job on providing me with new rotors, brake pads and a brake line flush. They were able to do an inspection and complete the service in a timely manner. Johnnie the manager even provided me a better discount than the online coupon and was very communicative during the process. I will definitely be referring family and friends to Mavis for any repair needs. Great job all around!

2022-05-15I was in your Dekalb Industrial store today 5/15/2022 Sunday. I received great service and there is fantastic management. Benjamin has excellent customer service. I was about to leave and he explain everything about the tires. He is very knowledgeable and I would say he went above and beyond with his excellent customer service. I will continue to come back.

2022-03-18Horrible, manipulative experience. I strongly suggest finding elsewhere to have work done on your car. I made an appointment for 11am earlier in the week to get an oil change and have my brakes looked at, and yet they had me wait 3 hours before the oil was even changed. When I asked why it had taken so long, the store manager gave me a lecture about how impatient I was being (!?). He said they have to take care of walk ins first before they can take care of their appointments. (One wonders what exactly the point of making an appointment is, then). Then they told me I need new brake pads (which I already suspected), but I told them Id rather take my vehicle to another shop down the road because of the bad customer service and long wait time. THE STORE MANAGER REFUSED TO GIVE ME BACK THE KEYS TO MY CAR. He said my car was unsafe to drive and I would have to pay him for a tow-truck if I want to leave. Thats right -- he extorted me into getting my brake pads changed with them instead of another business. I buckled, and let him do the brakes. He told me it would take 90 minutes, then said that because of my trouble hed get it done in 60 minutes. In fact, it took another 2 hours. All in all, what should have been a simple scheduled visit took over 5 hours. I will never be returning to this manipulative business, and I encourage others to avoid visiting this location as well.

2022-01-28Friendly, patient, and fast during my visit. This is the exact little off in the cut kind of place I was looking for. Its off the main road, they have ample parking, a large building to work with, and friendly, patient staff.I went in on a Thursday evening around 6:30 (a time when other Mavis locations were slammed). They had several customers, but they took their time talking to me.The manager Nathaniel is who I interacted with, and he got me in and out (tire balance) in about an hour, and we had friendly conversation, too. It was quite a breath of fresh air right now, when most places, especially auto shops, are usually impatient, uncourteous, and really seem like theyd rather you not come. (I get it, I spent many years working service, sometimes its just too much, but while I understand it, Id much rather be treated like a human)So thanks, you solved my (minor) problem, for a fair price, all while being friendly to me. If you need tires or tire/wheel work, I would recommend coming here, to this location.
