McAlisters Deli in other cities:
A bit unkempt over 12 tables were dirty. Short staffed. The food took a long time to get. The food was good. The chicken tortilla soup has a good kick, and the roasted mushroom soup was ok, a bit watered down and tepid. The horseradish roast beef definitely had a generous amount of horseradish. This is a chain, so ... you get what you pay for.
I went in getting dinner for myself. I ordered half of a BLT with avocado and half of a spud with all the toppings. And on the side some chicken tortilla soup.Every single thing had something wrong with it.The BLT with avo did not have avocado on it.The spud seemed like it had been under the heat lamp for about 2 days. Also, it was missing the sour cream that I had asked for. I had to walk back in to get it.The chicken tortilla soup had good broth, but only three tiny pieces of chicken in the whole bowl.A big disappointment for paying nearly $19 for one meal.
A little pricey, but the food is good quality and refreshing and service is generally prompt.Portions are generous.Be good to your servers, folks, they do their best to be excellent for you.Wide open floor plan can leave some one with social anxiety feeling a bit exposed, but the atmosphere is such that being loud feels rude, so its generally comfortably quiet, even when there are a lot of guests.
The manager at this location is awesome! He stepped right up when he realized they didnt have any spuds available and handled the situation appropriately even though he didnt have to. I watched him be attentive to guests in the restaurant, taking orders, Togo orders, and helping on the floor! He is definitely someone Id want to work under! Good food and quality like always!
We took one of our Grand sons here for His 15th birthday meal. The Food was Excellent. Service was Excellent. The young man at the Counter won my wifes heart over with his Kindness. We had a wonderful time. When we told our Kids and other grand kids were we had been they were very Surprised we had not been there already. The French Dip sandwich was Outstanding. The Atmosphere was very nice. All of the employees were Dressed clean and Neat. Very Good Manners. We were very Impressed. Our Car Club is always searching for a place to gather for a Good meal. We Have a NEW Place to Enjoy. The Management can Very Proud of this Crew. Thank You to All for a Great Evening.
Ive ordered for 3rd party delivery 5 or 6 times now and not once has the order been correct. There were times were I didnt get the appetizers, times I didnt get pickles, drinks, wrong sides, ect. They just dont have the ability to put an order together correctly.I called them each time about how the order was wrong onky for them to tell me I have to drive there to get what is missing. If I could pick up my food, why would I have had it delivered to begin with?
I would usually give this place 5 stars. We praise this place all the time on how good the food is. My husband and I ate here tonight around 6pm and while the food was fine the male cashier who took our order was very rude, bad customer service. Literally looked like he hates his job. Do better on training your employees to atleast be “fake” nice especially when the customers are being “genuinely” nice 🙄
2021-11: I have eaten from here twice recently and wanted to update my previous review. One instance was dinner ordered through Uber Eats and was delicious, albeit more pricey than going to dine in or picking up my own call in order, which is to be expected when using third party delivery services. My most recent experience was calling in my order directly to the store. They have an automated system for placing your order, but if you chose the option for needing some help, you are instantly connected with a live employee at the restaurant. They young lady who took my order was incredibly nice and professional. She took my order of two Italian sandwich meals, repeating back my order , their sides, the total amount, and a timeframe of when the order would be ready. I was right down the road and ended up walking in only about 10 minutes after placing my order, which was ready, ahead of the 15-20 minute window I was given on the phone. The young man who took my payment was pleasant and checked the order before finishing the transaction. The restaurant was clean and in order, even with them being fairly busy.Im glad to see some consistency in this McAllisters with service, cleanliness, and quality of food. Took my previous 4 stars up to 5 for this reason. I would still recommend this location and will continue to be a customer here.2019: Went in late afternoon Friday while it was still before the typical dinner rush. The restaurant was clean, the employees were pleasant, and the food was ready quickly. Ordered the special, a prime rib sandwich, which was absolutely delicious. This location fits my typical McAlisters Deli view, decent and not a waste of money. The only reason for the four stars is because the manager, although not with malice or arrogance, reprimanded an employee in the dining room within earshot of customers. While he handled the situation with professionalism, he should not have done it in the front of the house, or where any customers or employees could hear it.I would recommend this location to others and will have no issue in returning.
First time at McAlisters in Evans. I ordered to go, the food was excellent. I ordered a chefs salad, a couple loaded potatoes and a club sandwich. The potatoes are humungous. All the food looked and tasted great! Portion sizes were quite large so with that in mind, prices are not unreasonable. The location has more eat in space than you would think. The employees were very pleasant and everything looked clean. Im a fan now after my first visit. Nice alternative to traditional fast food fare.
The food is decent. Its not mind blowing or revolutionary by any means but its usually where I go for my lunch break due to convenience factor. Their sweet tea with lemon is actual perfection though. If the prices werent so high Id give them a higher rating. But the price doesnt match the quality imo!
McAlisters Deli is an American chain of restaurants founded in 1989 in Oxford, Mississippi, by retired dentist Dr. Don Newcomb. There are currently over 450 locations in 28 states. The original restaurant was started in a renovated gas station, and many of the elements of that original look are present in many McAlisters Delis built today, such as a garage door, and nostalgic black-and-white tile.At McAlisters, genuine hospitality means always delivering a little something extra. Whether its a warm greeting when you walk in the door or a refill as you enjoy your meal. Now I love a Reuben sandwich, growing up in a German American household Im used to eating Sauerkraut all the. The Reuben sandwich is an American grilled sandwich composed of corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing, grilled between slices of rye bread. It is associated with kosher-style delicatessens, but it is not kosher, because it combines both meat and cheese in the same meal. The Reuben at McAlisters is phenomenal I have been ordering it ever since we discovered this place and today was no different. They offer a variety of soft drinks, sweet tea, and lemonade. I personally love the lemonade and so does my wife. So, check out McAlisters Deli and get one of their great sandwiches!
The Orange Cranberry sauce is fantastic. Great selection. That said, Im coming back a month later to take a full two stars off because Im getting incredibly sick of how often the simplest instruction is ignored. I cant stand mayonnaise at all, and the only instruction I ever send when ordering out a sandwich is no mayo, but half the time or more its covered in the stuff. If it was a rare thing sure, but its half the time, and it really ruins my enjoyment of a great sandwich to sit there and scrape mayonnaise off it.
I’m highly dissatisfied; I spend at least $30+ every time I order ; I ordered two sandwiches and sides. I,Also added a BOWL of Broccoli Cheddar Soup and got less than 8ounces, I added a bread bowl (it was Flattened and unevenly cut so I couldn’t add my soup to the bowl) My soup was Luke warm, definitely not up to temp 😔 —- I’m sorry, but I feel ripped off; I work in a restaurant so quality control and presentation is everything; — who pays $8+ dollars for less than 8ounces for soup?
The food is always fresh and delicious but on this trip i met a beautiful soul. I met a rep named melinda there helping kids and ahe was so sweet and informative. I was more than willing to help a few kids and it was nice that mcalisters allowed them to be there. Great way to give customers an opportunity to help kids in need. I hope i see her again!! Keep up the great work guys and gals
Good flavors but lousey sandwich, as in put together poorly. I paid for extra this extra that and didnt see what I paid for on the sandwich. several bites were just bread and lettuce. 7pm Tuesday night not a good time I guess. 2nd time Ive been disappointed by this place. Overpriced and overrated.
Unbelievable experience today. First time at this location and will be my last. A customer had all THREE of her orders made incorrectly and the staff in the kitchen didnt seem apologetic in correcting it. Also to mention, they were not prompt in remaking her order. One of the staff members preparing the food in the kitchen at the window was NOT wearing a mask while working with food. UNBELIEVABLE! Not only was he not wearing a mask but had a toothpick sticking out of his mouth! Absolutely unprofessional. Another customer had a quick order to go and the cashier had to REPEATEDLY ask the young man with no mask to prepare it, even telling him that putting the plate in a container was not a hard task to do. I felt bad the cashier had to tell the food preparer to do his job as you could tell she was very frustrated. His name Faydren? Fayden? Fadrian? needs to be let go. The other young man in the kitchen was wearing a mask but incorrectly, only covering his mouth while preparing food. Everyone else, including the customers waiting in line to order, the cashier and other employees were all wearing their masks properly. Management - please look into your employees!!!
The chicken salad over greens was tasty and plentiful. Mom had grill chicken stuffed potato covered with cheese and she loved it . Pops had chili and he said it was good and if it wasnt he would have said so . Portions were generous. Price lower than average for all three of us . The menu was extensive . Cant wait to go back .
Went for lunch on Mothers Day, it wasnt very busy not like a usual Sunday when we have been before. The entire place was trashed, tables, floors, counters. Employees barely spoke to anyone, no smiles, just not happy to be there. They had no Co2, so no soft drinks, no big deal things happen. Food was good, but this store needs some work.
Greeted when you walk in. Food ordered at counter and brought to your table. Service was phenomenal-always attentive meeting your needs, refilling drinks when needed without customer asking, taking empty plates, etc. I highly recommend eating here. Best service at an eat in establishment. Food was delicious.
This place makes great food. The only issue is this location doesnt bus the floor at all. You have 3 customers in line, 7 people behind the counter (just at the registers, so minus kitchen staff), and no clean place to sit or walk. Im looking forward to this location getting back to how McAllisters is meant to be.
One has to be careful when ordering soups separate from the primary items that you want. You can get quite expensive especially if youre ordering the crab chowder. The manager attempted to explain the pricing with the menus that I still feel like there was some inflation. I ordered the chicken salad.
OPEN YOUR TO-GO ORDERS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE RESTAURANT!! My family has ordered take out from McAlisters twice now. Both encounters have been poor - mainly because of the employees poor customer service and rude demeanor. The first pick up, the cashier yanked the bag out of my husbands hand without saying a word, even though he had already paid for it. Both times our orders have been wrong - tonight they ignored all additions/substitutions including one that we paid extra money for. Such a shame since the food is decent.
There are very good and healthy. And of course they provide you good service. I love ordering grilled chicken caesar wrap with their spuds (*either spad max or chili spud*). The chicken tortilla soup taste like delicious gravy for a potato! Dont forget to get the little cards. You can get drinks [tea] and lunch up to 7-8 visits...and your 9th visit will be free.
I work with a delivery service and they put the wrong food in the wrong bag. The receipt on the bag had the right information. All of their bags are sealed when we pick them up. In the middle of an order i had to go back to the restaurant and redeliver to the customer. Thusly wasting my gas and affecting my money.

2022-07-07I had placed a pickup order and when i arrived it was not even rung up, however this did not upset me and i said it was fine. just as i said this a manager came up to the register and apologized over and over and gave me 30% off my food as well as a free drink to go with it!! great customer service and recommend this location the most! they went above and beyond for a little mistake that i was not even upset about!

2022-05-27We had the southwest chicken salad & the man-eater sandwich with steamed broccoli.Salad dressing was surprisingly good. Sandwich was plenty of meat. Broccoli was not over cooked. Worth a repeat visit to try other sandwiches & salads, maybe a soup.

2022-04-17Tables were dirty with leftover plates left behind. No one was cleaning the tables. Bathrooms had no toilet paper or hand towels. Bath trashcan was full. Food was ok. Nothing outstanding. Have had better experiences at other McAlisters.

2022-02-15This is my first time that my family tried this place. We were disappointed. The food was sub par with no ones meal sticking out. You are better off going to Jasons deli or Panera bread for quality food.

2019-05-07McAlister’s is the best place for a fresh lunch on a tight schedule! The portion sizes are generous and there’s lots of mix and match items on the menu so you get exactly the meal you want each time. This McAlister’s is in a great location and the restaurant is brightly lit and always clean. The staff was busy with the lunch rush but remained friendly and patient the whole time. If you’ve never been to a McAlister’s, it’s a must visit!

2022-04-16Love the McAllister in Grovetown. This one wasnt as welcoming and customer service needs more training. Less playing behind the counter also
