I love this place! The food and drinks are great. Wonderful vibe and great location. Courteous and knowledgeable staff. I visit when Im in town. However, I cant give 5 stars. The service is slow, servers dont always check on you, yet the staff always seem to find time to socialize with each other. Ill still come back though.
I was excited to come here with some friends for some good food! We walked in and was greeted by the host Travis which immediately told us there was a 45 min wait. We looked around and it was maybe 3 other parties so not sure why the long wait. Then we asked if we can sit at the bar to have some drinks while we wait and he told us we cannot and won’t be served. We was all surprised because we are foodies and that’s a norm if there’s a little bit of a wait. Another guy came to us and sat us in the corner and told us he don’t know why Travis was acting that way. We was thinking about leaving because we felt uncomfortable but didn’t. Our server Greg was awesome and everyone else we encountered were professional and attentive. While we were there enjoying drinks we noticed everyone else after us were seated with no hassle. Still not sure what was Travis issue with us was but none the less food was good. He needs a little more training in customer service. We spent a lot of money with this company for years and never had no issues other than Atlanta Georgia location. Won’t ever come back to this one.
Came here for my 30th Birthday. The food lacked seasoning and was mediocre. I wasn’t impressed. I may go back to try other menu items but I’m not sure, I’m sad to say that I cook better food at home. The Scallops were COMPLETELY unseasoned. They were simply pan seared, most of the dishes my family and I had were similarly under-seasoned.
My first and last time coming here. Seriously OVERRATED!!! Food was not good at all. My husband and I went here for my sister’s birthday dinner. Biggest mistake ever that she picked this place…. I don’t even know why she picked this place. Lots of nice restaurants in Atlanta to choose from. Pappadeaux ‘definitely beats this place hands down as far as service and good food. My husband didn’t eat after he looked at the menu(which I have to add you need a magnifying glass to read and a flashlight) he just ordered a drink and it had more ice than liquor in it. I ordered fried oysters. It was 4 oysters on a plate they were (the size of a nickel) over cooked and hard as a brick. My calamari was uncooked the batter was still thick and wet. Another guest at my table ordered beer battered fish/ chips. He had to send it back, it was still wet better in the inside. Batter on the fish was not cooked properly. Mostly everyone else ordered salmon. This place is just super horrible. If you go here eat before you go. You will thank me later. It was freezing cold in here as well. Our waitress she wasn’t all that either. My reviews on everything belowAtmosphere-0Ambience-0Waitress-2Food-0Parking was $15Across the street. They didn’t even have valet. Won’t be going back here EVER AGAIN
We were in town for the weekend for a wedding and in search of a restaurant within walking distance of the Hilton Garden Inn where we stayed. McCormick and Schmick’s was within a 10 minute walk. I was a bit hesitant because of the negative reviews that I was reading prior to making the reservation online but decided to take the plunge anyway. Our family was running a bit behind (we have two small children so going anywhere these days take a while haha) but we called in advance that we would be a bit behind and Lexi at the hostess desk happily pushed back our reservation 30 minutes (thank you Lexi!). We got seated and settled at our table and before we knew it our waiter Josh greeted us and was very welcoming!! Josh was such a pleasure and really made our experience!! He offered fabulous wine options and entree selections and did I mention how delicious everything tasted??!! I ordered the seafood trio and it was SO GOOD!! We will definitely be back next time we are in town!! Thanks Josh and Lexi for making our experience a memorable one :)
Appetizers were good. Fish special was overcooked and not warm. Pasta & scallops not edible. Rubbery pasta and separated sauce. Missing nuts and cheese. Salad good. No check back or drink refill offering. Hostess great, server didnt seem to care. Not the normal experience with this restaurant, as in other locations.
Hungry for lunch decided to try this place. The service is lacking. The waiter was unwelcoming. He was slow. I mean slow. Forgetful. Had to remind him on item we requested. Did bring us bread when the other waitress was giving good service. Other than taking our order the waiter didnt bother to check on our table. $20 for a burger, I was expecting something very delicious. I was wrong. Small serving of fries. How is this place in business with such bad service.
If I could give them six stars I would! We came in with 3 hungry kids and they took such great care of us, found us a table when they were very busy, the food was amazing (and they have a kids salmon on the menu so healthy choices!!) Hosts and waiters all wonderful, went above and beyond despite being completely packed. And dessert!!! Wow. Don’t miss the apple pie.
Service may be better in the actual restaurant but we sat in the bar and it felt like we were a burden to our server Madison. Once we received our food we didnt receive another visit from our server. My husband didnt receive a steak knife with his meal and had to cut his $40 steak with the provided butter knife. We were never given refills of our waters or offered another round of drinks. When our server finally showed up at the end of our meal she asked Are you done? and delivered our check. There are better places in Atlanta to spend your money.
Food was very good it is a must go place for seafood. Location is very convenient by some of Atlantas landmarks, ie CNN, Omni Hotel, Mercedez Benz Stadium etc. From appetizer to main course are all very well crafted and presented. Savory fried prawns with sweet relish dip. Tuna poke and calimari are must haves when you visit there.I tried the tuna for appetizer and it comes with the saracha and wasabi dipping sauce and either one is a winner
The food was not to my level of expectation. I ordered the stuffed salmon with seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes. The green beans were over cooked and the portion was small. The entire plate was too salty. The drinks and customer service were good I probably won’t go back again.
We decided to try this out before a concert as weve walked by it hundreds of times before football games. Needless to say we were highly disappointed. My wifes Rueben was horrible, cold, and had no saurkraut. My burger had little flavor and the fries were flavorless as well.We had high expectations of this place based on the price and location, but ultimately it was sub-par diner food unfortunately. The one positive was our waitress was very pleasant and efficient, but we would not return after that meal.
I’ve been to M&S multiple times in Houston so I decided to try this one. I made a reservation & was seated on time for the most part. Service was okay, but the food was terrible. I ordered a NY strip & it was completely dry I mean inedible. I asked for another item & it was over seasoned/very salty but somewhat edible. The green beans were not seasoned AT ALL. I was very disappointed overall. Unless i’m in Houston, I won’t be going to M&S.
Please take the Alaskan King Crab OFF of the menu if you are not going to EVER have them in stock. I have been this restaurant on 3 separate occasions and ordered them Bd every time the waitress or waiter comes back 20mins later stating they don’t have them and to order something else. 1. The waitress or waiter should know what you do and do not have prior to taking order. 2. Why have something on the menu that you clearly have no intention of serving. I was forced to order the lobster tail since the rest of my party had already ordered and was pending their food and those were over cooked and flavorless. I will never even attempt to visit this establishment again as they are unapologetic about lack of menu items. The one in my home town of SD never have this problem so this is not a chain issue but a management issue!
First time, last time. This place desperately needs new management. From top to bottom, our experience at this upscale place was below average. If you cant even seat people with reservations in a timely manner, you are failing right at the beginning of the experience. Also, poor service; mediocore food (quite expensive, btw). They were likely understaffed on this MONDAY AFTERNOON, but you need to let the customers know, and there was no sign of a manager whatsoever. It was chaos. It continues to be disappointing to me that there is not a better of selection of restaurants in that area.
Ate dinner at the bar on a business trip. Not many here for a Thursday night. Had the wedge salad that was good. The service was iffy. I ordered the shrimp and grits. Good shrimp. The sausage was way over cooked and the grits were large lumpy clusters. Small portion also. Other than the shrimp.
Ive dined at this McCormick and Schmicks many times and although the service was great today, the food was terrible. My chopped salad was not fresh, the shrimp was overcooked and truffle fries were just regular fries with a small amount of parmesean cheese thrown on top. Considering the menu prices the quality of food should be much better!
Celebrated my 59th bday with my husband. I was so excited and could not wait to go. We thought the food was going to be great; unfortunately, the cod fish was stiff, hard, and was not seasoned The crab cakes were just ok. My husband asked the server for remoulade and she bought tartar sauce. My husband asked her again, and she came back with some kind of avocado sauce. The server was slow and either did not care what the guest wanted or did not understand. Over all we spent 175.00 for food that did not even taste good. The best thing from our meal were my Brussel sprouts and my husbands clàm chowder. We will not return.
The food was very delicious. However not sure the wait was worth it. It took a couple of hours to get our food. Again not a single complaint on the food as it was great. Just wish I didnt have to wait 2 hours to eat. Waiting with kids made it nearly impossible. I highly recommend you clear your calendar and be prepared to wait a very long time if your going to eat here.
My husband was having training downtown so I decided to meet him for his lunch break. We decided on this establishment for some oysters. We were advised to pick seating away from the dining hall area as it was already reserved. Wasn’t many people there, we sat at the bar at 12:03. Immediately placed our orders as we noticed others arriving to sit at the bar as well. The bartender Shon seemed pleasant and took our order. We noticed it seemed as if he went ahead and took other orders as well, he printed a ticket for us several minutes later of our order printed time 12:30pm. My husband and I were hoping this wasn’t when our order was placed as we are on a lunch time limit. 12:40 comes around we noticed groups of other parties that showed up 10-15 mins even 20 mins after we placed our order had their food and drinks. My husband grew upset and advised we leave. We ended up running to Chick-fil-A in the CNN center so that my husband could eat before having to return to work. Literally having 5 mins to stuff the food in his mouth as we walked back to the GA bar building. Disappointed to say the least. Advising the staff take care of customers as they come not the other way around. Time is precious. Frustration grows when you’re hungry too. Not sure that we’d be open to coming back to the establishment.
I was in Atlanta this past weekend for Momocon and we were having such a bad night. We had ordered DD and waited an hour and a half just for the order to be canceled. We had a terrible experience at top draft the night before. We ended up going to the bar in McCormick & Schmicks and the bartender Shy took my order, Im sure she saw how stressed i was because she was so helpful and got our order in so quick. While we waited she got us drinks and made sure we had utensils for our order to go. She was such a sweetheart and made our night so much better. Honestly the best service we had the entire weekend.
A group of us came to celebrate a friends 70th birthday. Our waitress was very courteous and attentive. However, the calamari that was served as an appetizer was tasteless. Everyone was disappointed with their dinner. Ive never experienced such poor quality food at McCormick & Schmick!
We stayed at the Omni and made reservations to eat here As it is located in the restaurant. The food was mediocre to say the least. The clam chowder was salty, their was too much dressing on the ceaser salad, the steak and salmon were okay. Also, the service was not the best. For a $200 meal, we felt cheated. Won’t eat here again.
This restaurant has always been a lifelong favorite of mine. What I can’t understand is why the music is blasting at this location. It’s not just “kind of loud”. It’s blasting like it’s hoping it will be like TGIF in the 80’s. Stop already. Bruce Hornsby played at 11 isn’t any better.
The service and attention was outstanding. Unfortunately the seafood dishes were not. The pasta and scallops (tiny bay scallops) was just ok. The scallops were way over cooked, rubbery with absolutely no flavor. The Spicy shrimp in red pasta was also just ok. Not what you would expect in a high end steak and seafood restaurant in downtown Atlanta. Again, the seafood was way over cooked. The shrimp were broiled to dry, shriveled bits. They kitchen needs to learn how to broil or bake or stick with steamed or slightly sautéd. The pasta was right on al dente.Lobster bisque saved the meal with great flavor and lobster chunks. (The lobster wasn’t broiled)!!Help your servers with good food!
Perfect location! I came home to visit with family and wanted a bite to eat. This was literally one of the only places open on Christmas in Atlanta. We were so greatful as well as a few others. It was a little pricey but money well spent. Our rating scale 1-10:Appetizers 9Bar/Drinks 9Entreé 10Desserts 8Customer Service 9Restrooms 9Come here for the great food, good location and an all around fun time!
Excellent food, great service and amazing staff. I sat at the bar and the waiter Shawn was artfully passionate about his drinks. Watching him combined with the view of the park behind us was amazing. The martini and the food was exceptional. I ordered the salmon and asparagus with rice and lemon sauce. My friend had the lobster salad. Everything was on point! I highly recommend it
Overall: underwhelmingChecked in for reservations, @620 for 630 and they said they would seat us closer to our reservation time-ok that’s fine place is packed. But after 10 minutes they haven’t called any names, they text you to inform you your table is ready...that’s cool, but let me know upon check in.Cocktails were tasty, oysters were good, wife got a seafood sampler style plate. Salmon was sweet, that’s the only flavor I pulled out. Shrimp were slightly on the fishy side, stuffed shrimp flavor (of stuffing) was missing something. My plate is pictured, I got the scallops, they were cooked through but the one seared side had no texture, other side was not seared at all, and overall lacked any flavor. The spinach I think could have had a little salt and garlic added during preparation. The crab hash hidden underneath it all saved the dish.Maybe I expected more from a place like this, maybe because it was a Monday the kitchen didn’t have the “A-team”, maybe I have a higher standard than I should. I don’t know, like I said at the beginning, my overall experience was underwhelming. I’m not saying it was bad, it just didn’t meet my expectations.
This was my first time going to M&S and off the top, the idea of paying $10 to park I find ridiculous! especially when you have to park across the street from the restaurant and get harassed by people standing by the parking meter asking for money its a bit scary when you are a woman with two young daughters and you just trying to go out and have a nice bite to eat. I digress, it was for my daughters 21st birthday so we thought we give it a try. We went late so the restaurant was basically empty but we were seated at a great private table where you could close yourself in so that was a plus. Our waitress was awesome very courteous and commutative. However, not sure if the menu is limited do to Covid, but the selection is not all that great when it comes to choosing your vegetable. They are already are pre-selected with the entree so you can forget trying to substitute! Because of this I got a simple fish and chips plate which was basically your cod and french fries which were seasoned pretty well so I will say they both were pretty tasty. The restaurant was clean overall and the ambience was amazing. if I have to say what I go back probably not but is always worth a try for the first time. side note if you are going for a birthday celebration they do absolutely nothing to honor that birthday again Im not sure if its due to covid but we let them know in the door that it was my daughters birthday and they didnt even acknowledge it so if youre going for a birthday celebration if you want something big you might have to ask if get free dessert or something. Im not sure because its considered a little bit more of upscale than a place like lets say Applebees that they even do anything like that but just to give you a heads up bon appetit!
It was my first time dining here I expected more being that it is in the center of all the tourist spots. Food was mediocre, cocktails were not strong had to ask the server to add more alcohol. The air filters and ceiling are so dusty. One thing I did like was the fact that you can close your door to your section is you are seated with a larger party.
Nothing here that impressed me especially for the price. I have had way better. So, let me start with our waiter who was subpar. They really need to working on training these individuals better. Reaching over individuals plates verse walking behind the individuals seat and reaching for their glass. Never asking if anyone was interested in refilling their drink. It took him several trips before he remove my appetizer plate from me. Literally he was too or table at least 4 times before he remove my plate. He couldnt even remember what the vegetable of the day was to inform us at the table. He went back to ask the chef but obviously forgot because he still did not know when he came back. I had the Ultimate Mixed Grill and my hubby had the Dry rubbed Prime Ribs. Half of his Prime rib was like rubber. They obviously forgot the dry rub because it tasted like salt. As for my dish it was decent. The chef was kind enough to give me the vegetable medley (that the waiter could not remember) and the vegetable that was paired with my meal as an apology. Other than that the establishment is very classy inside. FYI No parking for the restaurant. You have to either park at a local parking lot or at the Omni hotel.
We were there for the Happy Hour specials. Food items for good and enabled us to try a series of different food items. The service and atmosphere was very comfortable and invited and we enjoyed ourselves and then sleep. Kudos to the staff for the great work that they did in serving us.
McCormick’s Seafood Trio (Grilled Salmon, grilled shrimp & stuffed shrimp with crab). THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL. Compliments to the chef who worked 3/20/19 at 12pm. I am SO GLAD I discovered this place today! Everything from the service to the food was just perfect. My anniversary is coming soon, and I know I want to come here to celebrate! I will be coming back!!! I can’t wait!!!🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
We enjoyed ourselves, again, at this amazing restaurant in celebration before an event downtown. We couldnt have ask for better food, service or drink selection.Perfect pace of dining! So, if youre in a hurry go somewhere else. If youre too cheap to tip the excellent servers on a 10 table, them know theyll do it for you, and rightfully so!.Reservations are highly recommended!
My husband made 8pm reservations for my birthday. We decided to invite my brother in law and girlfriend to experience fine dining in your establishment. Our server Joshua displayed hesitance in service. He served another party that arrived after us. He was supposed to bring wine after confirming twice and was never received. We received no refills of water even after requested. It is recommended that sensitivity training is an option for better service. This was our guests first time coming to a fine dining restaurant and my husband and I was very displeased with Joshua’s service. We were aware of some inappropriate etiquette behavior which is common. He continued to stare at our brother’s girlfriend’s red hair so much that he did not recognize the birthday menu in front of me asking if it was her birthday as one example of many. My husband was quite offended and was unable to finish his meal and asked for the check before I could finish eating my meal. This was quite opposite from the couple of times of visiting your establishment. We will not recommend or return due to this awful experience. The stars given were for the taste of food.
Came for dinner and the service was great. Waiter was attentive and friendly. The food was just okay. The crab cakes were not seasoned well and the corn that was served with it tasted rancid. The chocolate silk pie tasted like it had been in the freezer and was not the texture a silk pie should be. Unfortunately, not somewhere I would return to.
Dont come here and waste your money if youre looking to have a nice dinner at an upscale restaurant. I had reservations in advance and they made me waited for 20 minutes without any explanation. We just stood at the door. The food was a disaster. The shrimp cocktail was unclean, there are still literally sh*t left for us to eat. The main course were so so, but the presentation were so horrible,I thought someone had vomited on my plate before it get brought out. Overall, I have never been to a restaurant this bad in this price range.
I dine at this restaurant last night and I was really disappointed!! The server was really slow we ordered cocktails it took ten minutes I told the server when I order my steak bring a glass of red wine soon as the food arrived didnt get the wine until I was almost done with My Steak. She claim she aint the bartender SMH. She never refresh our water glasses never ask if we needed more cocktails. The funny thing she only had two tables she was serving.. This Restaurant really need to have training for theyre Servers.. Very Disappointed.
Fine dining my butt! Here for my 31st Bday and Valentines day for my daughter. Waiter, Zachariah is extremely rude and annoyed. We asked him if he was okay and he flat out said no and got madder! We just sat down. Anyway he was replaced with Josh and now were on a professional track to an enjoyable night of celebration!
Came on a Friday night at 630, went to try to just get a drink with my friend before the hawks game which started at 730. As soon as we walked in there was no one to greet us. So I figured we just find our own seat. So went to the bar, I saw bar tenders at the bar and it was just two of them and only like 6 people at the bar. But they didnt look welcoming. The whole 30min we was there I did not see them interact with one customer. Meanwhile me and my friend are still waiting for a waitress to say hi at the very least lol. I saw 2 women waitresses walking around us serving others without even acknowledging us. So we waited patiently for 20min. After a while I just walked up to a guy who looked like the manager and told him we have been waiting and we are waiting. The man seemed calmed and respectful and told me he going to get someone. When the waitresses finally came she looked uninviting and frustrated. She took our drink order but we still waitied, after 15min we was so disgusted about everything plus we didnt want to miss tip off for the hawks game so we left. I would of gave 1 star but the guy that looked like the manager was so cool and respectful. It was the women waitresses that was looking frustrated and unfriendly, I understand the Job maybe overwhelming at times but this was beyond of what Ive seen before.
Well this is one of my favorite restaurants. Ive dined at many of the locations between once Texas to Virginia. This one was no exception, the presentation and taste was very pleasing to my palate. I was stuffed and had to walk it off. Of my top 3 restaurants, 2 are Landrys.
When we arrived it was nice but the waitress spilled the tray of food practically fell on me and stained my clothes. When asked if there was anything for us they said they couldn’t do anything since they brought it back out. It seemed very rude and my meal wasn’t that great for me to have grease stains on my clothes that probably won’t get out. Def not coming back here
Arrived for lunch at 12:15, ordered salads and fish tacos by 12:35 and still had no sign of food an hour later. Host told us they were just really busy and would just have to wait. Half of our 7 person party cancelled their lunch and left. Finally served at 1:45 after several inquiries about where our food was. And it was mediocre at best.WOULD NEVER GO BACK
I understand that today is Christmas and me and my girlfriend figured that the restaurant would be full which it had a lot of people waiting in line to be seated however there was a large amount of empty tables that had not or couldnt be bussed. The restaurant seem to be under staff when it came to bussing the tables. We had the most fantastic waiter Zachariah and he was very attentive, courteous, and I just really liked his whole demeanor. Our food on the other hand was totally something different. My partner order the salmon it was not cooked to her specifications as she wanted it lightly cook so it would not be dry on the inside. I ordered the 8 oz filet mignon with the brussel sprouts, bacon, and fingerling potatoes. The potatoes were hard as Pebbles the brussel sprouts and bacon with burnt and my fillet mignon came to me almost rare when I ordered it medium well. Our waiter was very courteous and understanding and was very on top of things. He took my food back to the kitchen to be refired. They sent me a new order of potatoes which were mostly cooked and this time I had no brussel sprouts and bacon at all. My steak came back completely cold but they did put a new slab of steak butter on top of it. Ive always liked McCormick and Schmidt but I have to be honest this visit was extremely disappointing.
We were there to celebrate a birthday and the server didn’t check on us. The food was not good. Three of the people in our party had cold mashed potatoes. My shrimp were fried way too hard but they weren’t hot. The fries came out borderline cold. The server asked us about splitting our checks before asking us if we wanted to order anything else. This is, by far, the worst experience I’ve ever had and the food was close to terrible. The steaks weren’t seasoned. I’ve gone a couple of time before now and the experience was good. I wish I could get my $87 back because none of what we ate was worth $2.
The hostesses were very friendly I gave me great suggestions on what to eat. The waiter was also very attentive even though it was very busy in the restaurant and he had to deal with customers who were doing the utmost because they felt extra, racist and entitled. The food was aite. I suggest you all go to Pappadeauxs for seafood
Those shrimp appetizers are absolutely amazing! Normally I stay away from bacon wrapped foods because it is rarely cooked correctly. These puppies were perfect. I guess you get what you pay for. 😉We all ordered the Chocolate bag dessert. #chocolatewow - Hands down one the most creative and delicious desserts I have had in a long time. I couldnt eat it all. Certainly one to share.
Seated immediately after entering restaurant. Our server welcomed us and brought water. We then ordered entrees (Open Blue Leroi and Crab & Shrimp stuffed Salmon). We waited 27 minutes for our entrees to come out. Our server did not come to check on our table or give an update on the status of our order at any time in during our 27 minute waiting period. After 27 minute wait, our entrees finally came out. The food was very good. Server did not come to check on our table after entrees came out to see if there was anything we needed. In summary, the food was very good but the service received from our server was subpar.
Great atmosphere. Poor communication on the bartenders’ part. We had a few drinks and appetizers and asked to move to a side table (at the bar ) when it opened up. We planned on ordering more appetizers and Drinks at the table but when we asked if we’d be served she raised her voice at my group, to the point where everyone was staring at us. She said to us that “once [we] left the bar, the tab was closed.” Please teach your servers to speak with a bit more compassion; You never know what kind of day somebody is having.
I would give it a 1 star, however only plus was the salmon my wife had. Her mashed potatoes were no where near warm. Her Moscato was good and well chilled. My meal, however was a complete joke. An 8oz steak at 40$ a pop is supposed to be succulent, cooked as asked and my mashed potatoes looked like they spat in them. I wanted a side of truffle fries, and they literally brought me McDonalds type fries and ketchup...yes ketchup!. I asked for my steak to be redone, and server gave me attitude. Also said they didnt have any broccoli and the table next to us had 3 plates of broccoli. It took well over 45 minutes to bring our meal and both plates were cold, except salmon. This is almost like a copy cat of mc cormick and schmicks.. I have never had su h a bad experience in any other city.
What a mess... we had party of 18 people. Ordered prosecco, few bottles. Waited for 1.5 hours to get our drinks. I went to frontdesk, nothing. Then i went to a manager and she had guts to raise her voice at me and tell me its our fault that its taking so long. The whole experience was horrible, we ordered food at 7.30. I touched my calamari at 9.15pm. It took half empty restaurant almost 2 hours to bring appetizers in. Plates were sizzling hot, food was cold.We obviously were treated like s*** because we were part of convention.Best part check is $100 bigger than it is. I caught several things in front of server and she was so casual about it. Now i see they charged us twice for several meals. So they basically treated as poorly plus took extra $100 double charging our orders and suggested tips of $200???The worst restaurant experience i had in ages and i will make sure to have corporate clearing out the situation.
We received excellent service from our server Bailey and staff not only that but the food was super amazing!!! It was worth the $$$$ spent. I always ordered to go and was missing out on their wonderful service. We had a late reservation a party of 16 they made sure we had drinks and didn’t rush us at all. It was such a memorable day thank you!
We come in at 8:30 with party of 5. No reservation. Quoted an hour wait, but we can sit in the lounge once a table is bussed off. That’s fine. So we stand around for about 20 minutes. I’ve never seen a table sit dirty for so long. We then proceed to sit at a high top for another 20 minutes in the lounge to get some kind of service. NOTHING. We left with no acknowledgement at all. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
It was pretty goodI waiter on waitress for our tabel was greatVery friendly and helpfulAtmosphere was niceParking is across the street but not validatedNot a big deal ( but people always ask me so I make sure I mention it now)Few things I didnt likeUnable to split checksAnd with 11 peopleAnd trying to see who had what at the endAnd calculating each percentage of tip and taxes. To manually cash out or demo one person of payment was a big headache( System needs to be updated for checks can be split )That And that I was standing there looking at our table and they wanted everybody to stand up the front door and there and wait til everybody was there and seated at once. With the exception of these last things it was a decent experience.( Also definitely a easy fix if they care to fix it )
Wow we have been treated so poorly. Waited 2 hours for drinks. Stuff was rude. Food cold bit plates were hot. They reheated all of our food. Check was overcharged over $100. This is a major mess. Manager was so rude to us. Screamed and was defensive, saying it is our fault that they forgot we exist. Probably worst restaurant experience i ever had.
My first time there and I will be back! My experience was outstanding!!! The waitress, I regret that I forget her name but she had dreadlocks, but she was very attentive but not overbearing. The food was hot and fresh! You know the food is good when they make a simple salad taste like God made it. The swordfish🤤 the crab and shrimp stuffed salmon... the bacon wrapped scallops.. 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤Needless to say....ill be back
Had a reservation for 3:30 didn’t leave until about 5 because our steaks was made wrong not once but TWICE they clearly don’t know what medium steaks are. First time got well done then second time my boyfriends was okay and mine was nothing but a fatty well done mess I wish I took a picture for $45 for a steak you’d think they would cook with love. The server was nice but a little slow ended up not eating anything but 2 shrimps my lobster and a horrible bite of steak don’t go here if you have something to do after you’ll be late.
We made 8:00 reservations and were seated immediately. But we waited 30 mins for bread and straws to drink our water. We sat and watched everyone who was seated after us, eat and drink which was so unorganized for a restaurant with such expensive food. We ordered fried calamari that arrived cold! We sent it back and received it cold again but the bottom pieces were hot..I guess they sat the plate on a heater. My wine was lukewarm also. The food was okay. One of our steaks weren’t cooked correctly but after we sent it back, it was ok. The service was terrible so I didn’t bother to speak to a manager..if you’re in the area, don’t bother to go here. You will probably have a 50/50 chance of getting good food and good service. I won’t recommend it.
Wasn’t impressed one bit. Actually let me take that back, the drinks were the bomb.com butttt it took 45 minutes to get drinks!!! We had a large party and 3 of us got there early. We wasn’t allowed to go to the bar to get drinks. What sense does that make?!?! So we had to wait til everyone got there and was seated before we could get our drinks. What was the point of asking us what we wanted?!?! Then the food took a entirely too long to come out. I cancelled my order because it was taking too long and I had somewhere else I had to be. I was glad I did because several people complained about their meals being dry. $50 saved. The GPS instructions are not good and they do nothing to help you find the place. The server was nice but could have communicated better about the drinks we were waiting so long for. I will never give this place a try again. I’m over the luxury dining in Atlanta not being luxurious.
Meh! I wasnt completely impressed with service. We went around 5:00 p.m., it was not that busy, but everything took forever to get to us. Including our drinks. I ordered a medium well steak, but it came back well done. I didnt send it back because everything else was already taking so long. Honestly, the steak and the rest of the food was very flavorful, but eating a well done steak from any place its like chewing on cardboard.
Very unpleasant experience.. I took my wife there for her birthday..First you pay $10 to park across the street for up to 2hours This is the pan seared sea bass that I didn’t eat..it was crispy on the outside and not cooked on the inside..My wife didn’t eat her food either same deal uncooked not hot at all..I told them to take our food back and I was only paying for the drinks which came to $35 my wife had a glass of wine and I had a margarita...will never go there again..it is a $$$ restaurant so I thought that meant everything would be top tier...I had to apologize to my wife on her birthday for this place..as we headed back to the parking lot people that had parked at the same time as us were getting their car towed..we had only been there an hour.. smh
Very poor service. The waitress was not attentive to simply filling our waters and other refillable drinks. She would leave for 20 min stretches not checking in on us. Her service did not match the gratuity that was taken out. Though the restaurant looks very nice, the food was not up to par with fine dining as the taste was average and the presentation was not impressive. I would not recommend coming to this particular location.
McCormick & Schmicks old Atlanta favorite first time dinning there in a while the food was still very good. Service was good but slow for a Sunday especially being one of the first parties in the building for the day. The special lobster dish was scrumptious to say the least.
The food is more so business meeting and drinks! Our waiter was very short with us and a little forgetful! Maybe its due to the lack of help that the restaurant industry is experiencing, but that is no excuse for lacking of customer service. Its was my sons graduation lunch and we were a little late, but with great customer service, his tip would have been huge!
I would never in my life come back to this place. I don’t even wanna give them a star but I have to to make a review ! They are slow. Manager is disrespectful. I asked for a medium rare steak to get medium well done. I was there for two hours to get my food and be highly disappointed. I would’ve understood the wait if it was busy but baby it was empty af when I came. Never again. Bad experience. If the company were to offer me a another visit for better service I wouldn’t go. I wouldn’t even bring someone I hated here !
Ordered for pick up during a work visit a month ago. I dont normally leave reviews but this place needs one so others are informed.Horrible customer service. I was informed the order was ready but they couldnt find it when I arrived. I waited over 30 mins after arriving. I was pretty much ignored most of the time other than when I had to ask for the status of my order. My food was cold and the salmon was dry when I got it.I did not get a single apology for the wait or the fact that my food was cold when they gave it to me. The place wasnt very clean either, it wasnt even busy.It is a $ sign restaurant posing as $$$. Only their prices reflected the cost of the restaurant, not their service or quality of the food.
This was my first time trying this restaurant and I would like to say it definitely did not disappoint. I was welcomed at the door by three super friendly hostess’s one named Sparkle. Now Courtney & Brittany @ the bar were great and Courtney makes a fabulous strawberry henny margarita as well as a crown pomegranate Margarita. The ambiance was very chill! My entree of blackened chicken pasta and Cesar salad were excellent!!! Also, the lovely stylish manager with the white pearls on was very pleasant. I can’t wait for my next visit! Thank you for the excellent experience ❤️
So I read the reviews and was like maybe it’s not that bad! Nooo believe the bad reviews! So we had a reservation for 8pm we waited 20 mins to be seated. Once we are seated it took the forever for the server to come to the table. Once she gets to the table she takes our order. It took for ever for the food to come out they brought someone else order to our table when they did finally brought out food the service suck for the amount of money you pay.
I really enjoyed my lunch here. Simple, good ingredients prepared really well. Which is how it should be. Good portions, and a very kind and nice professional wait staff. We were worried for a minute because a big table ordered before us, but our food came out at the same time as theirs, which is especially impressive due to limited Covid staffing. Thank you, for an excellent experience!
Kourtney was the most amazing server ever!!!! Pandemic, short staffed (if I had to guess), yet running all over the place and made me feel important!! Checked on me almost every time she passed my table. Extremely sweet, very fast with service. I only ordered calamari, which tasted amazing!!! Mainly props to Kourtney! I travel for a living and rarely do reviews because service usually lacks.
I am so disappointed. The waitresses was awesome, which is why I gave 1 star but the service and accommodations for patrons with seafood allergies was an unexpected, unfortunate surprise! You would think a restaurant of this caliber and size could at least fry some fries for a toddler in grease not fried in grease used to fry shrimp. In addition, we sat at the table for so before receiving both our appetizers and entrees, by the way, one of the appetizers came out cold. This was not even a half occupied restaurant....what a waste, we will not be back here!
I wear jeans today and have small hole on it, less than my little finger nail and I just want some steak, I walk in to this restaurant and the host lady told me I can not go in, well they are not the only steak house thou. Well, we just go to Pampas to enjoy the steak. We should go to Pampas at the first place!!!!!!
Nice atmosphere! Great service but pricey and the food is good, but not great. I ordered three 20oz ribeye, med rare and when it came out it was well done. I sent it back and the waitress was very apologetic and the replacement steak came out quickly and perfectly done. Add food the flavor, it was pretty good but far from great. Ive actually had better streaks at Outback for a lot less money! The service and atmosphere made up for it though. Id probably eat there again but for $150 spent, I expect to be wowed by my entree!
Great experience. Seated quickly with reservation through Open Table. Nice view of restaurant and the park across the street from our table. Drinks, apps, main, and dessert served at a good pace and space between. Service was fantastic with a primary and plenty of help from attentive staff. Atmosphere was classic but not too quiet for our four year old. Food was good and fresh. Recommend the shrimp kisses app for sure. Kids meals were big and good value. Tasty too. Seafood trio was excellent. Chefs choice salmon was very good. Convenient to area as well.
I wish I can give them a -1! This was my absolute worst experience Ive ever had in a dining in restaurant. It took them two hours for our food! (and it seemed like they didnt care because gratuity was added to the check anyway) There were only 3 couples in the whole restaurant. My husband had a cheeseburger w/fries and I had crab cakes/ with burnt potatoes. Our ticket came up to $95 with a $15 gratuity. I will never ever eat there again. We didnt get water refills, we ended up having to go to the bar ourselves to get our drinks (however I was very pleased with the bartenders). Management did not come to my table to let us know what was going on. My mothers birthday dinner was going to be there this weekend but after that bad experience theres no way they can handle 25-30 guest.
I visited McCormick and Schmick when they were located in the Dunwoody area and I had a pleasant experience. I took my wife to the downtown location and the experience was totally opposite. We were seated around 1:16pm we didn’t not receive bread until 1:57. My wife was terribly annoyed at the slow service and asked our waitress Cat, if there was a back order in the kitchen because the wait was long. Soon after ,Cat brought out our appetizers but the main course we had to wait for. I ordered the fish and chips and when Cat brought it out, she warned, “be careful the plate is hot”. Yes, the plate was hot but the fish and chips were luke warm and appear as if though it had been seating under a heat lamp. We were so excited to visit this establishment but to say it was a complete let down would be an understatement.
We came from out of town for a work trip and went during lunch time. We were seated immediately. Service was wonderful and everyone was very nice and accommodating. I had the stuffed salmon and a cocktail Called peals and bubbles. The cocktail had gold flakes and caviar. The bar tender comes to the table to make the drink right in front of you and it was pretty interesting and fun. The food was very flavorful and filling. The vegetables on the side were seasoned perfectly and cooked properly so that they were not overcooked. I wish that this place was near my place of business, I would have visited again to try the other entrees and drinks. I would highly recommend this place.

My fiancee and I had reservations with McCormick & Schmicks for Christmas dinner. We arrived early, but were able to get a seat at the bar. The first drink was made well. We ordered the same drink, but it didnt taste the same. We let the bartender, and she stated that they measure, so all drinks come out right. Basically, that meant that we were wrong and nothing was going to be done about it. For dinner, we ordered steak which was cold. It was not an enjoyable experience. It was not worth the premium prices on their menu. We spent over a $100 for below average service and food.
We had a reservation for 7:15pm we got there and the host told me she gave my table away to a walk in, she said we had a 15mins grace period it was 7pm when we arrived. I continued to tell her that it didnt make any since when we were on time. She told me we can sit at the bar which had empty tables so we went there where we waited 30 mins. for our drinks that not included the food and no they where not busy. I was very disappointed in there service I had been waiting all week to go because I heard they had great food. So the food was great but the service s7ck.
We went in. Everything was on time. Food was more than excellent. Everything from steak to seafood. Drinks were shoe stopping and the hostest was our server. When there was a special request put in on the middle of the meal it was taken over smoothly and a family of five left happy
We do not live in Atlanta, but every time we come we make sure to go to McCormick & Schmicks at least once. This McCormick & Schmicks is one of our familys favorites! My daughter talked about her good meal and our waitress was for more than a year! Earlier this year when we were in town I booked a private room for a surprise 18th birthday party. Once again the food and service was EXCELLENT! Almost everyone ordered the Filet- and even though our order included rare, medium rare, medium well and well... not only were they all delivered to our table at the same time, they were all hot and cooked perfectly! Once again- great food, great service!
A very disappointing evening. While the food tasted good it was far from hot. Service was EXTREMELY slow and the restaurant was not busy. My wife waited 10 minutes for a coffee, and it was lukewarm. How is that possible?? By pouring it and talking with everyone instead of delivering it. Then as we are about to pay $130.00 for a meal for two, the waitress begins pushing their points program. It was the only time she was on time. I had to say no thank you three times. This was our first and last time driving into the city to go to this restaurant. Avoid it.
First off, our server Josh was fantastic. Very friendly, all smiles and extremely helpful with any questions. He suggested his favorites and most popular items. Our glasses were never empty and he was always asking how we were doing, anything we needed, etc. The food was outstanding. It was all hot and fresh. I got salmon, stuffed shrimp and crabcake and it was perfect. The salmon was perfectly blackened. My friend got swordfish and it couldnt have been better. The desserts were perfect (key lime was the best!) And everything came out in very good timing. The food is a little expensive but it is worth it and you get what you pay for! I would absolutely recommend this to anyone especially if you love seafood. Will definitely be returning in future travels.
I get it; this restaurant is in a touristy area. But at $60/person, I expect just a little bit better. It took forever to get our food and drinks, despite having reservations. And the restaurant wasnt that crowded. The food was cold--literally cold, and the shrimp were overcooked. We didnt send anything back because we had somewhere to be. The server was apologetic, and I dont think it was her fault. Im an Atlanta local, and my family wanted to have a nice early dinner before a show. My daughter did like her fish and chips, so Ill give one more star than I otherwise would. But lets make a better effort for our many out-of-town guests that likely frequent this place.
I wish I could leave zero stars. My wife and I ordered a salad and they forgot to put dressing on a simple salad! It took 3 hours to get our food. The food finally came out and it was the most bland food we ever had. Payed 96$ for a salmon and veggies! Our whole party was disappointed. This restaurant is so overrated. I feel robbed. Never will go again!
We have been to McCormick & Schmicks before. We ate at the one in West Palm before it closed. Our reservation was for 845 and we arrived at 840 and were seated immediately. The place was pretty empty. We sat for about 15 minutes before we even saw our server. Then after we ordered our drinks we waited for another 30 minutes before we got our drinks or even saw our server again. We ordered our dinner and waited another half hour to get our steaks. The steaks were good but the service was disappointing for an expensive steakhouse that was empty.
This is hands down my favorite place for steak. I’ve been to all the popular Atlanta steakhouses. None compare. I recently had Kobe beef with truffle butter at a steakhouse in Orlando and even that didn’t measure up. We travel often and always go out for steak. I’ve yet to find anywhere that tops this place. The service has been on the slow side every time I’ve come, but I’ve never gone to a quality restaurant and expected my food to come out fast. My husband and I have been here several times and never left disappointed. The steak is absolute heaven. I’ve never had truffle butter as good. I don’t care what the presentation looks like or that the spinach is bland or whatever other whining other reviewers have said... I could eat nothing but the steak and be content. It is pure heaven on earth.Tip: No parking on site. Very few places in this part of town have parking so I have no idea why this would be a surprise to some. There’s paid parking nearby though.
Went to the bar here only. The signature drinks were good. The cocktails ranged from $11-$15.The had a bar full of many different liquors.I like the dinning area too from whenever I walked through there going to the restroom. I was staying at the hotel next door so this was a great spot to get a drink.
Called ahead and was told to come in at 6:45, but our name was not marked down when we arrived. They seated us fairly quickly despite this, but that was the shortest wait wed encounter that evening. It took nearly 2 hours to get our food, and when it arrived 2 of 5 meals had been mixed up. A surly manager told us in an unapologetic tone that our food was delayed because they were waiting on something. Maybe they were waiting for the fisherman to bring our fresh catch back directly from the ocean that evening. Our salmon dishes were accompanied by unevenly cooked and portioned oily roasted potatoes and veggies. At the prices they charge, I would expect far better service and food.
Well don’t have any pictures to post, was so upset of the order I placed to pickup. This specific location no where to park. Parking in front super dangerous. The staff very polite, but the food was horrible had a stuffed flounder with vegetable and mashed potatoes ( overly priced and was a small portion, I order a stuffed salmon with crabmeat spinach and mashed potatoes ( small portion overly priced and ordered a bowl of lobster bisque which I never received and cost ($16.00) overall spent $101.89 I called and spoke to manager, she stated that the $16.00 we be applied back to my card. I’m still waiting. Will not recommend or return to this location.
I came here with my parents after going to the cocoa cola museum. The ambience was beautiful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The menu was extensive but not so large that you could get lost in it. We were greeted by a very nice gentleman named Anthony who was our waiter for the night. Although, there would be somewhat long waits in between us seeing him- he made up for it with his great personality and attentiveness after the fact.
We made reservations and thank goodness I did. There was a concert downtown that we were unaware of. I ordered the Stuffed Salmon. It came stuffed with shrimp and crab in a creamy sauce. The garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, and julienne style carrots were awesome too. The portions were just right for me. The service was awesome. I think our waiter was Joseph or Michael. He had great curly hair. My bad but he was really good.
We visited this location for dinner last week with business partners and was disappointed. First, the place was very busy during Market week and staff hard time handling it. After waiting for 1/2 hour to be seated ( with multiple open and set tables),It took half an hour to get our drinks ( I got gin instead of vodka). The appetizers were cold and steak over seasoned. We had to ask multiple times for extra plates and water. The quality of food and service we received was sub par for the 4 star rating this restaurant displays. We kept joking about it and pretending that its not a big deal, but dinner was ruined. There are so many good restaurants in the area, and I did not expect to be this disappointed. Would not come back to this location for sure and would probably think twice before going to any M&S location.
If not selecting any stars was an option, that is what Id choose. This place was TERRIBLE!! Service was slow and for the food to be as pricey as it is, we were sorely disappointed! We made reservations for Mothers Day and this nearly ruined my day. The only thing good was the calamari. Both my and my husbands entrees were prepared incorrectly and had to be remade. The food was bland and tasteless. Even the dessert was bad... I had soupy creme brûlée. Our waitress wasnt very attentive, didnt clear our table, and it took forever to receive the cocktail I ordered and it was gross too! Ill NEVER return to this restaurant. Dont waste your money!!!
My significant other and I had a reservation for 7:45 pm. We stood at the host stand for a while before being greeted. We were sat by the bartender, and never greeted. We waited for 16 minutes . When I went to ask the bartender about a server, our supposed to be server was standing there on her phone. Highly disappointed
Great service. My drink was topped off every time it came close to low with the perfect amount of ice. The appetizers were perfect the mussels were amazing. The filet was perfect in all aspects. Even the children’s menu is a step up. Our waiter Jose was the most efficient waiter I’ve ever had.
ZERO stars. A long story but too good not to share. Any other Landry’s restaurant would ensure Landry’s members had great service, but this particular restaurant is a joke. Waited 45 mins (Landry’s members are supposed to get priority seating), and waited almost as long for a server. 3 of us ordered the same thing, then the waitress came back 15 minutes later with only 2 plates of what we ordered and a different 3rd item that we did not order. When we pointed this out, she left, took another 15 minute break, came back reeking of cigarettes, and lied about being sold out of the item we actually ordered because she did not want to correct her mistake. One of us ended up cutting theirs in half to share with the one left without. As the server was clearing plates, she had the audacity to ask the one of us that was forced to eat off of someone else’s plate if they enjoyed the dish and added a comment about how good it is.... ??????It gets better. When the manager approached us, we thought she was coming in to ask us about the abhorrent service just rendered to us , but really she just came into our private room to tell us she had an important banquet waiting and she needed us to leave. We told her about our experience, but she absolutely did not care and slid out of the room mid-sentence after ensuring we were in fact leaving. True story.
This location is busy due to its location. Bar menu is limited during happy hour compared to other locations especially when it comes to drinks. Beer prices are never too bad, but many of the mixed drinks were used to are missing. Food was good. Our waitress did a great job of being there when you needed her, but never bothered us.
We came here last night before the Pink concert thinking it would be a nice place to enjoy dinner. It was one of the most disappointing experiences weve ever had. Its was so loud we couldnt have any conversation. The price point was SO high for the quality of the food. Weve had better steaks at Long Horn. We had to wait twenty minutes and keep asking for water. Then we had to tell others we were ready to order because our server kept disappearing. Our server was extremely inattentive and dismissive. She said that she had put a rush on our order since she knew we were going to the concert. For the time we had to wait for the food on a rushed order makes me wonder how long it wouldve taken if it wasnt really rushed. Lastly we had to find our server again and ask for our bill. You would think that when a server brings the bill that a pen would be included. We had three separate bills with no pens. That was another thing we had to get up from the table to ask a different server if they could supply a pen. So for a better experience and better food at the same price point I would recommend Ruths Chris Steak House which is a block away from the CNN center.
My husband and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary here last night. Our server was Zachariah and he was excellent!! Very attentive our entire visit. Everyone was friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in the door until we completed our visit. The chef fixed us oysters rockerfella upon request even though it wasnt on the menu! Every thing was fulfilling and delicious! If youre visit the CNN Center location, we highly recommend this restaurant and request Zachariah to be your server. Youll be glad you did!
Food was mediocre at best. Nothing about this place said upscale to me...well, nothing besides the prices! $50 for a meal that I could have had at Longhorns and it would have tasted better and been half the price! From the first sight of my Caesar salad, I knew this wouldnt be a good experience. For $9, that salad should have been delicious!...it was NOT. Tasted like it came straight out of the bag and some dressing thrown on top. We will never eat here again. We both had the Ultimate Mixed Grill...salmon and grilled shrimp had no taste, scallops were undercooked, vegetables almost raw, but I did halfway enjoy the crab stuffing of the stuffed shrimp. Manager came around to the table and my fiance voiced his dissatisfaction...his response was that he would let the chef know. Server Eddie was friendly, he was very busy and never got around to getting me a refill of my tea. I can understand that though...
The service wasn’t up to par. In fact, it was way below even modest expectations. We ordered appetizers and had to use our bread plates that we had already used. We didn’t get plates to use with the appetizers. We got a bottle of wine for the 4 of us. The wine glasses didnt matc . Would have ordered another bottle but no one ever checked back with us. Only when we were finished with dinner did someone stop back by our table. By then, we decided we would go elsewhere for drinks. Even the food was a little disappointing. The server had no idea who ordered what at our table, doing what I call auctioning off the entrees. Not what a restaurant like this should be doing. Overall a bad experience. Will not go back. Plenty of places where you will get better food and service at this price point.
I went here to celebrate my birthday on 02/22/2019. I had a party of eight. I was never clear about who my server really was because the young lady that came over said that she wasnt the server. My mom and I went to the restroom and by the time we got back to the table everyone else had ordered. The young lady that was taking orders tried to rush my mom and I. I had to tell her we just got to the table and we needed time to look at the menu. Still I felt rushed. Everyone at my table ended up with food except one person. They took so long bringing my guest food out that everyone at the table was almost done with their food. Then when the food came out she couldnt even eat it because it had meat in it. The server was told before hand she couldnt eat meat. The food and the service is subpar. They have young immature ladies working there with nasty attitudes. The manager is very nonchalant. Basically she doesnt give a damn. This place is totally overrated. 👎👎👎The spinach is bland, the beef is over cooked and chewy and the shrimp are not clean. Save your money. You can get a better meal at Apple bees.
Excellent service. Nearby parking diagonally across the street - 3 hours for $15. (Guess there were no major events tonight). I had the Sea Bass and it was very good. Our party of 5 had 5 different main course items and the feedback was unanimously favourable. Not a budget location but for that special occasion its fabulous.
The food was good. The table-side tartare was excellent. The rest of it was just good. The service was not good. At all.Honestly, there are a lot of fine dining restaurants in Atlanta and youd probably be better off going to a different one. I know it was Friday night, but if their servers crashed and burned that badly in a semi-full restaurant, this place has no business being downtown. We spent a lot of money for a mediocre and disappointing experience.
My wife and I visited this location for the first time last week. We enjoyed the jumbo shrimp cocktail. My wife ordered the twin lobster tails and lobster bisque mashed potatoes. She was not very impressed. I had the Seafood trio. It was very good. All in all we enjoyed our time.
Greetings All,The quality of the food was extremely disappointing this evening. Pre-COVID this was always my go to place for an excellent meal. This evening, I had to leave the restaurant with my food in a container to take it home and doctor it up. Atlanta has many options of places dine, I would suggest you avoid a disappointing meal at McCormicks & Schmicks.Disappointed Loyalty Club Member,Crystal
I expected better. Food was fine (we have ordered scallops and stakes), but glasses were not clean, and it took the staff a while to figure out where to sit the 5 of us, despite the fact there were many tables available, but not for 5 people. So, if you are a group of 4+, be ready to wait. Our waiter was nice, though
Well we love the restaurant but had a unsavory experience ordered 2 dozen raw oysters the kumomotos has 3 or 4 bad ones in which I ate one before I realized I just swallowed a bad oyster. They did replace the bad ones with new ones but unfortunately I got sick from it. The dinner we had though was great no complaints there at all and drinks were on point.
The location was perfect since it was in the same building as my hotel. The drink I order the “Beam Dream” was nice and not too strong. The stuffed salmon with shrimp and crab meat with mashed potatoes and green beans and carrots was divine. The meal was light and healthy. The salmon was amazing.
Terrible terrible terrible. We were visiting from Nashville and dont have a McCormicks so we decided to take advantage while away from home. Took longer than reasonable to be greeted and the restaurant wasnt busy for starters. A simple gin gimlet and Cosmo took more than ten minutes. We were two sat at a table for four my place setting was missing silverware so I borrowed from the seat next to me. Said and appetizer came at the same time even though rearrested the shrimp kisses first thankfully they were delicious as was the salad. Having the dishes sit on the table from the salad and apps for ten plus minutes after we were completely finished awful. The stuffed salmon was overcooked and the shrimp pasta bland. The server dropped silverware on the floor everything she picked something up. Dont waste your time totally not worth the money or the experience.
Good service. Good food. Loud as a cattle drive in the restaurant. The Calamari was prepared tasty and delicate. Swordfish was good as well. Had a cup of clam chowder that was watery with not much meat to it. At dinner this place is just to loud to enjoy conversations. Suggest something to dampen the sound, especially during conference times.
DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!!!!!This establishment serves you bugs in the food and the excuse from your executive chef is that because they have organic vegetables from time to time they serve you stink bugs gourmet style. I am utterly disgusted by the treatment we received and the explanation for a bug being in our food. The management would not come to the table to address the situation and on top of that thought 25% off the tab was a way to make us feel better. They tried to validate the STINK BUG that was found in the vegetables!!!!! Yes we paid for the alcohol but they still insisted that we pay 150 for food that was barley consumed because there was a stink bug in the vegetables on my table!!!!!! Also the treatment that we received due to us being young and black was deplorable. Young successful BLACK adults treated as if we are poor and trying to get over and “educated” on organic vegetables being severed bugs in our food from time to time!!!!! It would have been nice to give you all5 stars but that would joke and lie for the simple fact that we were served LUKE WARM FOOD, NO SEASONING WHAT SO EVER, AND BUG INFESTED FOOD. Sidebar to the server Anthony thank you for all you did you were great!! Now back the situation your EXECUTIVE CHEF REGINALD........ Please send him to training on how to approached a table not having excuse for bugs being in the food PERIODT! Now that I’ve said what said.....I will be reaching out to the health department to pay a visit and wait for my explanation on how you all CLEAN your “ORGANIC” vegetables. Maybe Gordon Ramsey will pay a visit to your establishment on how to spruce up your service and food.

2022-05-30I absolutely loved everything about this location. Our server was so wonderful and knowledgeable about the menu. She made the entire experience special without even knowing we were there to celebrate my late sisters birthday. Our food was fresh and delicious, it’s obvious that the chefs take their time to prepare each plate. The presentation was beautiful and they even have private booths available for a private dining experience. Be prepared to spend some money but just know the experience is worth every dollar.

2022-03-25I visited this place for a good friends birthday dinner, on a busy & late Saturday night. Parking was terrible for such an upscale restaurant; some may think 3 blocks away is decent. It closed at 10pm on a Saturday night. This confused me. Our server Josh was amazing!!! I got the stuffed (shrimp & crab) salmon. Wasnt much shrimp or crab. The green beans... nothing short of delicious !!! We also had the MC drank, 8/10. Nice setting.

2021-12-18We had reservations online and when we arrived the lady told us that the reservations didnt show up in their system. We still was able to be seated. The food was okay I think our expectations was too high. And if its your bEARTHday let your server know.

2022-06-20I ordered from DoorDash and this is how my chicken arrived for my salad I ordered. It look like the aluminum foil had already been used a few times as it was all crumbled. Add to that, it was just tossed inside the bag as seen in the picture it was partially opened as you see in the picture. The steak I ordered was sitting on top of mashed potatoes. On a nice restaurant like this you would think they would know how to package their food.

2021-08-16Took my wife here for her birthday. Service was good except my wife’s steak was over cooked just a little and with no hesitation the waiter took the plate and had a new steak cooked to correct temperature. My steak and lobster tail was perfect. Oyster Rockefeller’s we awesome. We got a bottle of wine but I had to asked for a wine chiller bucket. My beer was empty and after 10 minutes I waved the waiter down. Then after 10 minutes I asked again. Over all customer service was good. We would go back. They gave my wife 2 good desserts for messing up her order and her birthday.

2021-09-03My husband and I dined here for our anniversary. It was our first time and I was not ready. We were seated at a private closed in table. They made menus congratulating us with our names on them. The staff was very attentive sweet and nice. The food was great. Im kinda hard to impress with food, however, I had no room to complain. Everything was aesthetically pleasing and flavorful. I enjoyed everything. I definitely recommend you guys check this place out. It is totally worth it. Thank you McCormick & Schmicks for making our anniversary special.

2021-11-08I was really ready for tonight with my ladies! I heard from a friend that this place was really great so I agreed to come. I made a reservation for 7:00. Tonight was veterans night but when we got there it wasn’t packed and we were seated in a pretty good spot. The waitress was nice and took our drink and appetizer orders. It took a while for the drinks to come and even longer for the appetizer I didn’t think anything of it but did notice that the calamari was cold. We ordered our entrees and I was so excited to try their stuffed salmon. Waited a long long time to get our food and I was so disappointed that my food was cold and had been sitting out longer than it should, so my salmon was dry and hard on the outside. All of our food was dry and had sat out too long. The chef came out and made sure we received free dessert and a refund for the food that was not eaten. This was the worse expensive place I have been in Atlanta.
