First of all I must say, as devastating as it is to have a car break down or need any type of repair can send me into a frenzy. I’m honestly thankful that everything happened the way it did because I would not have found this AMAZING mechanic shop💗😣🙌🏽.We went through a hassle from carshield but Eric the owner was VERY vigilant and professional and PATIENT during the entire process for my claims.I can not express enough gratitude for an establishment that shows that they are experts and a real life saver in the work they do.My pulley literally fell from under my car, if you buy a used car and are in this area PLEASE use this shop for mechanical services.I brought my van in to be fixed and now it drives way better than what it did when I first bought my car!!This place has my upmost respect💗I didn’t know where else to go and looked and called around and this place was the BEST I had seen and with outstanding reviews as well.I’m glad I was led to come here, do not hesitate. The service done on my car is outstanding and I can tell the difference .Thank You to the entire staff that keeps this place running, this was my savior for mechanical service!
The quote that I was given twice when I called to make an appointment was extremely innacurate compared to the charge that I received on my final bill. I understand that a quote may be off by a certain ammount but I was originally quoted between 150 to 250 For an alignment + oil change and when it was picked up I was charged 496 for both. This is completely off from the original quote. I’ve been taking every single car that I’ve owned here for oil changes and services for years and truly LOVED the service, but charging 297.00 USD MORE than the original quote for an alignment and an oil change ( no additional repairs or parts) is completely outrageous regardless of what the original price would have been in the first place. Definitely won’t be taking my car here again.
My 2019 Hyundai Accent unexpectedly broke down on me and I first decided to take it to a Pepboys because they were open late. I was hoping for a semi-easy fix but Pepboys told me I had to replace my whole engine.I wanted a second opinion and McCollough Auto Care had serviced me before, so I took it to Eric. He seemed genuinely concerned about my issues and gave me peace of mind knowing that he would inspect it thoroughly. As a woman who knows the minimum when it comes to cars, it’s a little intimidating going to a mechanic who isn’t my dad. The guys at the shop really reminded me of the southern hospitality I grew up around though. He diagnosed the problem as a bad fuel injector causing engine misfire and did ALL the necessary work to get it fixed. I am so thankful for their time, work, and attention to detail (unlike the Pepboys down the road). Now I’m back on the road, and when I need work done, this is place!
If you want a mechanic that gives you the next day promise but doesn’t deliver, then bring your car to Eric. It’ll start with excuses on day 3, and by day 10 you’ll just want to get your car off his lot. There are many better shops in Sandy Springs. Tried em once, never again.
Brian and the team were fantastic with handling my issue. In fact they discovered a major error which occurred when I had my last oil change done at a quick oil change place, which turned out to be the cause of my issue. They took pics of it and wrote out an explanation for me to give to the previous oil chance place. Because of their extra effort, I am getting reimbursed for the error. I highly recommend Brian and the team!
McCullough has been my familys go-to mechanic for decades. Dont know what I would do without them - just a super-nice family that will take care of your cars. Their service is important to us because once we get a new car, we like to hold onto it for years (10-12). Highly recommend.
We have been depending on McCulloughs at least since 1997, when we purchased a home only a few blocks away, walking distance really. Had our emissions test a few days ago and want to acknowledge Jack, who completed the tests quickly. I asked him to determine why the backup camera was not in the proper position. It took a bit of time and ingenuity to get everything right. Thanks Jack, for the excellent service.
Overall, McCullough car repair has done an outstanding work on my car. They are professional, honest, reasonable with cost and does the work on time. Most especially, Eric and Wes, they are top notch and I am highly satisfied with the outstanding work on my car. I highly recommend this car repair shop to my family, friends and all over Atlanta. I am extremely happy and highly satisfied with my car repair as well as the car repair cost. Thank you for the outstanding work and the job well done.
The McCulloughs have been our mechanics for over 30 years, and I cant say enough good things about them. Theyre knowledgeable, reasonably priced, VERY customer service oriented, and they can handle just about anything. I HIGHLY recommend them! You wont find better or more honest mechanics anywhere.
Wow! I am so impressed with the service I received. Having moved here from Nashville I was nervous about finding a mechanic! These guys are BUSY but they treat every customer like their priority. I got my car repaired within two days on a weekend! Prices can’t be beat and I was getting phone calls with detailed status updates. Amazing service. Really compassionate. Please doing business! I thought I was going to have to spend thousands fixing the plate that was dragging under my car but I got it fixed for under $200! Thank you!!!
If I could give them 0 I would worst customer service ever I brought this car in around May and they had this car for about 2 months about almost 3 months before they touched it I brought it in for a Cadillac converter but it took forever when they finally got to it and they fixed the catalytic converter and I told him to give me an oil change and I paid $900 for the Cadillac converter and oil change and I got the car back and I did not check my oil level 3 weeks later the light in my car came on the same my oil level is low and I checked it and it was no oil in there.they gave me the car with no oil and I paid 70 dollars for an oil change.I wouldnt recommend.
This is the best place you could possibly go to take care of your car! My family and I have been going here for over 15 years and we recommend them to everyone. Eric, Bryan, and Graham are the most trustworthy guys and truly care about their customers. We all love them and are so thankful we found them!!
Eric has been my service manager for years. He is always professional and easy to deal with. He goes out of his way to take care of your needs and makes accommodations to the customer when needed. They will ferry me and my car to and from their shop (I live within blocks) and I appreciate that very much. Everyone at McCullough is nice, friendly and helpful.
I called their facility. The gentleman who answered the phone was honest enough to say that they would not be able to get to my car that day. I was not put off, I was not lead on. Just the truth with an apology. It was a Saturday. McCullough Napa auto care I will be back!
I have used McCullough for maintenance on my prior vehicle and received great service. Recently I had to repair my front bumper - I received an estimate for repair services that was reasonable. The estimated turn around time was less days than other auto shops. The best part was, the staff (Graham) was accommodating with my schedule and the repair was completed as expected/on time. The work completed was great.I absolutely recommended McCullough for auto care services.
McCullough Auto Care has earned our trust over the past two years by consistently giving us quality, reliable repairs at fair prices. The staff is polite, knowledgeable, and never tries to talk us into things we dont need or want. We will continue to trust McCullough for all of our repairs.
My vehicle was on the verge of breaking down while I was in Sandy Springs for work last week (I live in a different town), and my boyfriend had determined that it was a problem with the alternator. He helped me find McCulloch Auto Care, which was right down the street. Wed noticed the good reviews, and we took a chance! The staff is super friendly, professional, and kind. They were able to confirm our suspicions about my cars specific issues, and took us as soon as they could. I was so impressed with their customer service. They really went above and beyond to meet my repair needs, had a fair price, and worked quickly to repair the issue. I almost wish I lived closer just so that I could have my car serviced here more often! Great family owned business.
After recently moving to the area, I had a vehicle emergency where my transmission needed replacing. Graham immediately took me in and was SO kind, professional, and direct about the costs; one of their kind staff members even drove me home after my car was dropped for repair so that I did not have to call a car service. They were so patient with me and got my car back to me in one day completely fixed and ready to go! I will never use any other automotive repair shop in the area! ABSOLUTELY recommend without hesitation!
I received great service from this location! I called them about replacing a serpentine belt and they got it done for me the very next morning. It was quick, and cheaper than some other places that I had called for the same service. Eric and his team did a great job, and they were very nice! I will definitely return for any other auto repair I may need in the future.
Very respectful, honest, and professional. I was having issues with my headlights, and they fixed it for a reasonable price. They do a lot to ensure that you have a positive experience, and that youre not wasting your money on unnecessary parts or repairs. Top notch service, A+!
I had a check engine light on Saturday afternoon, ended up being an engine coil pack needing to be replaced. It was obviously super busy and I knew I would need to leave it until Monday to get looked at. Staff was very informative and communication was excellent. Got it looked at Monday and ordered necessary part to come in the next day. Went ahead and did the spark plugs as well since I was nearing 60k miles. Picked it up after lunch with no issues. Seems like they do really well with the small space provided and very busy area right off 285
IF YOUR TIME IS VALUABLE MISS THESE GUYS!! I am very very unhappy with the service I received here! I feel I was taken advantage of. My car was towed in early on a Friday morning because I heard what sounded like grinding coming from the front-end. When the tow arrived he pointed out that I had a flat and said that he didnt see anything unusual underneath when he pulled it on the truck so I asked to note it as having a flat. I spoke to Eric and he assured me that my car would get looked at ASAP but it was very busy to it may be the following day. I was cool with that. However I did not get my car back until the following Friday!! 7 whole days to put on 1 tire (car controls horribly now), an oil change and a gasket replaced! AND my car is making this loud noise when accelerating on the highway! I waa not loud before McCullough. My time and money was wasted dealing with them. I was NEVER offered anything but an apology. I spend over $1000 between getting repairs done and renting a car which should have taken a day or 2. Ladies please be cautious and have your husbands deal with these guys! Dont get taken like I was.
Honestly, I was a bit hesistant to bring my truck here at first. But I just purchased a truck and it needed a battery replacement and the terminal on the positive side was corroded to the core. The shop was conveniently located a minute down from where I work so I brought my truck in. I’m so glad I did. They replaced my battery and terminal in less than an hour. The cost for labor and battery was fair. Saved me a lot of time and headache. The staffs were so kind and professional. I can’t wait to bring my truck back in for a full tune up. Thank you guys a lot for being a local shop in the Sandy Springs area. We really appreciate you guys.
I spoke with Graham Monohan and explained to him that my 2013 Ford Explorer only needed a Flex pipe repaired. I took my vehicle to the shop and Graham called me back saying that it needed a Wheel Bearing replacement. I advised Graham to fix the Wheel Bearing, my wife went to go pick it up and once the guy drove it from the back there was this horrible sound coming from the engine. Now when I dropped it off there was no sound at all. I called Graham after a week, because I had not gotten my truck back, and Graham screamed at me. I advised Graham that he would lower his voice and apologize, because I had not spoken to him that way. When called back an hour later to see if my vehicle was ready Graham advised me that they needed to add a new part. It took them four days to get the part and add it. When Graham called me to pick up my vehicle, he advised me that I needed a new transmission. I used a different auto care shop, but they do not fix Flex pipes, so that is why I went to them. The auto care shop I used advised me that he heard McCullough did good work, but wasnt very familiar with them. I picked my car up and it sounded like it was going to fall apart, I took it back to the other auto care shop, he advised me that McCullough had DESTROYED my transmission. He apologized, and he informed that McCullough had done something to the transmission that he had never seen, and he has been in business for over 30 years. I have filled with the BBB, and I have a meeting with the Georgia Law & Consumer Protection to file a report against them with the State Attorney General. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THEM!!!!!! I only gave it one star because I couldnt give a negative.
Quick and excellent service. I was turned away at my regular mechanic because he said he didn’t know how to do a transmission fluid change. This was my first time ever going to McCullough auto care, and I was very happy with my service. They were able to see me immediately and were patient with me considering the circumstances. Eric was great, and even matched the prices of another mechanic down the road. I will be back! Would recommend!
Best place to get work done on your car near Sandy Springs! Gram is awesome and takes good care of folks and their cars when they roll in. They’ve made my old 2000s Toyota drive like it rolled off the line and fixed an issue every other mechanic I’ve taken my car to just “treated”.I highly recommend you call ahead before coming in. They’re really good and their lot reflects it so make sure you call ahead to make sure they got space for you!
I may have written one other recommendation in my of 50 years, but after doing business with Eric McCullough for 35 of those years it is time to write another one. He maintained and serviced my autos, my wife, kids and employees for 32 of those 35 years. He has stood behind the work on everything he and his employees have done. He operates his business with great honesty and integrity. I highly recommend doing business. with McCullough
Able to fix issue with my 2011 truck other shops could not address- very hard to diagnose mechanical issue another reputable shops couldn’t figure out. Good prices, done on time, and with expert mechanics. Will have them work on all of my vehicles and highly recommended. Support a family owned business for a change!
I know for me one hard thing about choosing a mechanic is brushing off all previous notions I have about mechanics Potentially not treating my car how they would treat their own car. This place has done more than exceed my expectations. I got a phone call for every update, I got a thorough description of what was to be done and what was wrong, not only that, but where the dealership said it would take them two weeks to fix my car, these guys did it in less than 24 hours. I have never been happier to spend $300 in my life. Anything I need in the future, you can be sure I’ll bring it here.
As an update: After leaving this shop, I wound up at the Ford dealership about 100 miles later with the same concern/warning light. Another $160 plus to Ford and I finally have a car that drives without issue.——————-The car sat for days before they had time to look. Total repair time for coolant leak was 12 days.I see the owner replied. Let me specify that I spoke to the owner prior to making an appointment to bring the car in. He told me he had time. Then my car sat there for days before they even had time to look under the hood. I was rudely informed by the owner that I was lucky because “other cars had been there since March 1” and he hadn’t gotten to those yet either. Finally the owner lied about the most inane thing on my way out the door. First he insisted that they had not done an oil change and that I should bring the car back soon. Then he checked the oil and told me it looked pretty good and I could wait a bit. As I went to drive off, I noticed the sticker on my windshield had been updated. Suddenly he absolutely *personally* remembered the oil change and knew when it had happened. Hmm...
This is an amazing repair shop. I am a new customer, and have been treated as family throughout my car repair process. I have actually used them twice in the last few weeks, and they have been timely, professional and always friendly. They are also cheaper (or, more honest) than other repair shops that I have used, including ones that gave me estimates for this previous repair. Brian, and Eric, has earned my entire families business for years to come. If you need anything done on your car, come here first!
I have used this company twice and was VERY impressed both times with the honesty, knowledge, and cost-effectiveness of the mechanics that I worked with. They were upfront with me on what I needed to do now vs what could wait, showed me where I could save money, and worked with me to make sure I had my car finished before I needed it that weekend.Again, very very impressed. I wouldnt take my car anywhere else in Atlanta.
I had an intake manifold replacement. While the cost was slightly more than I would get at the dealership, I dont regret this experience in the slightest. These guys are wonderful. My car runs like a dream and they took care of my car as if it were their own. Not to mention they ASKED me first before running a courtesy safety check AND they caught concerns that others I have paid to check for didnt! I am definitely making them my go-to mechanic. Thank you so much you guys, youre doing wonderful.
Graham Monahan is amazing with military experience and auto expertise. Veterans understand each other very well. They most certainly are not the least expensive in Sandy Springs, but price quote how an automobile should be maintained. My mother’s car runs very nicely and Graham serviced her car, too. Quality and professionalism is found here. The cost of maintaining a car costs money; that’s just the nature of a depreciable asset.
Eric and Company are a first class operation! They get it right the first time in every time! They will pick me up and drop me off to make it 100 times more convenient. They treat me like family and look after my best interest not just their bottom line! These are the kind of people that I value doing business with
I do not know if I can type out all that I want to in this review but let me say this. WOW!! Being a single father with a busy schedule I cannot tell you enough how grateful I am for Eric and his team! I have been taking my vehicle to them for over 2 years now and I would not go anywhere else. The honesty, timing and keeping their word every single time is simply priceless! They have saved me so much grief because of my current situation. For all you single fathers out there...these guys got your back! I only have one vehicle and my son and I depend on it being in the best running shape possible. Eric and his team go out of there way EVERY-SINGLE-TIME. During these special times where its harder to get even the simplest things done, that has not slowed down this business. They still give 110% with every customer and are sympathetic to their customers unique situations. People, dont look any further for a shop that you can trust and count on. You will simply waste your time and find no better service in Atlanta. Eric, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you and your guys do. Having open and honest communication with you is always a pleasure. Folks lets do our best to keep these guys busy!! They deserve everyones business! A++++++
This place is a life saver. Great communication, great service, and very professional people. Eric worked with me through my whole repair. Kept me updated through out the process and fixed the problem on my car at a fair price. I will definitely make this my new place to go for all my car repairs and maintenance needs, along with sending my friends their way.
The staff at this comprehensive Auto Service Center was incredibly customer-focused, listened to our needs, and found the best solutions to fixing our old car. They were attentive, efficient, and Incredibly fair. I have not found this to be true with other auto repair centers and I commend McCulloch auto care and thank them for working with us and being so responsive and easy to work with.
These guys took great care of me. Ive been to many different repair shops in my life. The positive energy as well as the great work done by these guys takes the cake for me. I dealt with Eric at this location. The family vibe I felt from Eric and the rest of this location is a vibe I look forward to whenever Im in need of any sort of service, from a grocery store to a car repair shop. These guys are humble and do great work and great work deserve great gratification. Thank you guys, I will be back. I definitely recommend this team.
Always extremely professional. Willing to work with customers. Sadly, car repair is expensive but they have worked with me. Graham has been extremely helpful with issues my daughter was having with her car while we were at another mechanic in the area. We asked on Nextdoor for recommendations and McCullough came up numerous times!
Can’t say enough about the great customer service and overall experience at McCullough auto. They knew everybody by name and you could tell they had made many lifetime customers. Brian helped me out and was a pleasure to work with. And most importantly they did a great job and the price was fair. I will definitely use them in the future. Great job guys.
Very happy with the service we received. Great customer service, everyone was very pleasant to deal with. I needed a new catalytic converter and had emissions due for tag renewal quickly approaching. The mechanic we normally use did not have the availability to take care of it in time so we called around to a couple of other shops in the area. When I called McCullough I provided Rod with my vehicle information over the phone and he quoted me a competitive price (it was actually slightly lower than our normal mechanic). We ended up needing an additional part replaced which had to be ordered from the vehicle manufacturer and was not going to arrive in time for us to renew my tags. They were aware of our timeline and replaced the converter and worked to get it to pass emissions so we could renew timely. Then they completed installation of the additional part as soon as it came in. Would definitely use them again.
From the first time I got my car serviced here, Ive been made to feel welcome. There have been three cars and six different addresses in 13 years, but only one shop I trust and thats McCullough. Here, I am treated like an old friend and my car always leaves in much better shape than it arrived! They give quality maintenance advice ... some of which I didnt take and regretted it.Its a solid business. They really treat people (and cars) right!
THE BESTI have been a customer of McCullough auto since around 2003 and I would never think og going any where else! Eric, Brian and their team continue to provide me with outstanding service.! They keep me advised about the maintenance of my car and, when I drive away in my car, i am confident that my needs have been met. They keep me informed during the process, give accurate estimates and even inform me of what I might expect “down the road”.Recommended
Words cannot say how amazing this shop is! When you have car problems having a trustworthy place to go is invaluable! Ive been going here since my parents bought me my first car! All these years later and 3 cars later no one id trust with any issue big or small! Im unsure if its family owned but they treat you like a part of the family! So nice from phone call estimates to in person experience! I always shop around and always end up here! Very reasonable prices always the best deal! I recommend everyone go here!!!
I own and automotive repair business in Jacksonville, but my wife lives in Atlanta and needed tires for her car, so I know good service and fair pricing in this industry. I chose McCullough because of their good reviews and they did not disappoint. They were very professional and took good care of my wife. I would highly recommend them and will continue to use them for her service needs.
What more is there to say? These guys are amazing. Their service is very thorough and quick. I was so worried about the cost of my repair but Eric and Brian put me at ease with their extremely reasonable prices! My truck is running like its brand new again and I cant thank these guys enough!
This has to be the best shop in town! When I got my car fixed the last time, It drove live new. Ive never been so happy to get my car fixed in my life. They were very friendly and honest. This will be my go to place from now on. Not too far from my house which is a huge plus but even if it were, Id be game to making the trip. Thanks for being honest and giving great service!
I would normally recommend this business as I have been here a few times. I went there Friday for an oil change. However, I honestly didnt feel safe. They have signs that customers must wear a mask. There was only one employee wearing a mask themselves. All the others didnt have a mask on. I feel this is disrespectful to their customers. I understand it can be uncomfortable but it is essential during these times.
I have been taking my and my wifes car here since 2004. I have always had excellent service, follow up and the job has been done right, the first time. I feel comfortable that they will inspect my car properly and recommend to me only the things that need to be done. I have always felt that they have given me a fair price and I also feel good that it is further backed up by NAPA. I always recommend to my friends and coworkers that they take their vehicle to McCullough Auto Care. Glad to have them as my mechanic!
The team at McCullough Auto Care are so friendly, thorough, and timely. They know the cars bumper to bumper and how to properly diagnose the problem as well as do scheduled maintenance. They really work with you to do what is necessary to make your car safe and not hit your wallet too hard! I can say that I trust Eric and his team with our cars.
I am so glad to have found McCullough. They do a fantastic job. Their work is topnotch. I bring all of our cars here and have been very happy with the quality of their work. Eric, the owner, is knowledgeable and hands on, very ethical. An excellent experience each time.
Ive been going to McCullough over the past few years and I would not trust any other repair shop with my car. They are so down to earth and honestly care about their customers. Eric is top notch and I always look forward to seeing him, even if its because I got rear ended. I appreciate all of their hard work and will continue to go to them for many years to come!
I’ve taken my cars here over the years and have been delighted w the team. They’re honest, professional, knowledgeable, and will shoot you straight. Prices are fair and they’ll tell you abt issues that may or will arise in the future and to keep that in mind for future reference. Overall an A
I do most of my automotive maintenance on my own, but when I can’t get something done, I always come to McCullough and never leave disappointed. Eric and his team are professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and personable folks who excel in customer service and who know my Acura almost better than I do. They have never tried to BS me into buying parts/services I didn’t need - I’ve even “tested” them once by saying I needed something that I knew didn’t need fixing, and they were honest enough to tell me I didn’t need it. If you go anywhere else for your automotive needs, you’re doing it wrong.
I was so impressed with these guys!! Family business and the guys are professional, efficient, and personable. They got my part quickly and fit me in so I could come while my kids were at school. They went the extra mile (no pun intended) to consult with another auto body shop to make sure the repair was stable. I will be coming back for all future auto needs and will recommend them widely.
A staff of gentlemen ready to answer every question with a smile and great knowledge. They not only gave me a good estimate but they completed the work a day early! I highly recommend McCullough NAPA Auto Care to you. You will not be disappointed by the care they put into your vehicle.
They are honest guys running a great business. They have gone above and beyond for me multiple times to make sure I felt safe in my vehicle. I have never felt shorted, and they have great communication throughout the repair process. I would recommend them to anyone wanting a local business with excellent service!
Came in for emissions and they exceeded my expectations! Saw headlight out, replaced it. Saw no oil sticker, checked it and put a little in it until i can get back in for change. While waiting you could tell these guys really care about their customers and the safety of their vehicles. Definitely will be coming back here!
Overall I had a good experience. The actual work done on the car and communication about cost was excellent. However they offered to pick me up when it was done, which didnt go well. They sent someone in my car, which would have been fine except that he didnt look up where I lived and ended up turning a 5 minute drive in 40 minutes of using my gas without me in the car.
My truck broke down when we got to Atlanta on the way to Disney world. A local stopped to help us and recommended this place. This place got me in and got the radiator fixed for a very fair price and on our way the next day very quickly. I was so impressed and its no surprise they are very busy. Thank you so much and my family all got to the resort and is having a great time!! These people are great and will get your vehicle fixed for a fair price. Plus, you get Napa warranty all over the country at least I did on the repair I got. Please support them!!!
I learned about this place after searching for a good mechanic for one of my bosses. Just being in the waiting room for a bit was enough to tell me that these mechanics are honest and up front. They managed to explain everything in terms I understood and Ive since brought in my personal car because they did a great job with a mystery issue. (No longer a mystery and now the car is running great) Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I have found my mechanics and will bring my car here whenever service is needed.
Eric was amazing from start to finish. I chose this shop for my repair based on previous reviews & Im glad I did. He made sure to, in my opinion, go above and beyond with his politeness, as well as helping to make the process smooth and to try to save me as many coins as he could, while still getting done what was needed. Very happy with this visit
Eric at McCullough has been taking care of my familys [multiple] cars for over 10 years now. A Volkswagen, a Nissan, and 2 Acuras: Theyve done minor repairs all the way to major transmission replacements. Eric is trustworthy, honest, and tells you what really needs to be done versus what can wait. Their prices seem reasonable (although in fairness I havent been anywhere else recently b/c Im so pleased with them), they are timely, and always communicate what the car needs in detail. I cant recommend these guys enough!
My first visit to McCullough for an oil change and tire rotation was a good experience. Very professional and nice. Even spotted an issue with the battery and fixed it. Something the car dealership service department never did. I’m very pleased and will continue to take my car to McCullough.
Our go-to place for anything car/auto repair related. The family owned and operated McCulloughs treat you like family and are upfront and honest about everything. Weve worked with brothers Rod, Eric and Brian but we mainly work with Eric but any of them are great.Their prices are reasonable and the quality of the work is top notch. Weve never had a bad experience and continue to recommend them to our family and friends.
Don’t know how anyone could have a bad experience at this place. They are probably the most ethical, knowledgeable, sincere, and nicest auto experts in town. I moved here about 18 months ago and thankfully happened to go to this place by complete luck when my battery died and have only trusted them since. They always shoot you straight, put things simply, and tell you exactly what you need and what can wait. I have referred multiple people from my office to them, and they have had the same great experience.
I leave 2 stars only because their staff is always friendly and fast. Having said that, Im very disappointed in my last experience. I took my car in and asked for an oil change and asked them to change the air filter. I left them the key and told them to take their time and give me a call when its ready. They called a couple hours later and proceeded to tell me $400 worth of service that needed to be done. I just simply stated that I couldnt have that extensive amount of work done right now (considering one of them was a tire rotation and balance, and what they dont know is that my tires were rotated and balanced 60 days ago). I then went to pick up my car, and they charged me $81 for a simple oil change and didnt change the air filter like I asked.I called the service station that has been changing my oil and doing my general service work for 15 years and asked them to send me my last invoice. For the exact same oil, same number of quarts, etc. I paid $40.07. Unfortunately, Ive moved over 2 hours from my routine service station, but I can guarantee I wont have my oil changed here again! Its a shame since its conveniently located to my office. Once again, im never disappointed by the smile I receive when I walk in the door, but Im seriously let down by the up-selling they always seem to try.
The guys at McCullough are awesome! Ive never been very trusting of mechanics but they changed my mind. They were referred to me by my Son. They worked on an old vehicle I had a couple of years ago. They were great and professional so Im back with another vegicle for them to care care of. They do great work! Thanks Eric! Youre the best!
This shop is the best. They did everything they could so I would have minimal time without my car such as having all parts ready before they scheduled the repair. They are super nice and no surprises on price. They opened up my bumper and found a part was damaged. They could have left it the way it and no one would have known but they were honest and did the right thing. I recommend 100%.
My oldest son, after being a patron for about 7 years, referred me to McCulloughs 2 or 3 years ago. Ive relied on them exclusively since. I own a 20 year old vehicle that was previously owned by my deceased father. For sentimental reasons, it important to me that the vehicle be well-maintained. The care and quality of service McCulloughs provide is unsurpassed. As a single woman whose knowledge of automobiles is practically nonexistent, its crucial that I build a relationship with decent, reliable, trustworthy, honorable, knowledgeable service providers. Everyone who works there is of the same outstanding quality, whether they are a member of the McCullough family or an employee. Im so happy to have been directed to them and so impressed with their service that I referred my youngest son to them. For what its worth, McCulloughs has my business for life!
I have been using McCullough Auto Care for over 6 years now, and they are THE BEST!! they are honest, trustworthy and the most important feature is that they are competitive on pricing and they return your car when they promise it will be done. They can fix any make/model and way less than bringing to the dealership..
Had experienced front tire damage hitting metal debris on I-285 just before Rosewll exit. Immediately exited on Roswell and saw NAPA sign and pulled in. Place was busy! But got attention immediately by Jeff service worker. Got tire off my car no waiting. Wow! Determined rim bent but tire still good. He could have sold me a new tire and i would have not known better. So appreciative. Then met with Eric McCullough and quickly arranged to have rim fixed. I decided on new tires for safety and were worn. Eric got me great deal on tires and had my car fixed SAME day. Eric runs a super customer-focused operation. Kudos! Bruce Fike
Amazing place. Extremely fast, extremely honest, family run business that I would recommend anyone that drives on two or four wheels.McCullough is worth the visit for your repair needs. Im just upset I havent gone there years ago.Update. Another year of service and 5 stars doesnt cut it. One of the best businesses Ive ever interacted with.Your car is family here.
I live in Brookhaven and work in Duluth and pass dozens of auto repair shops on the route. I will forever go out of my way to go to McCullough. This is hands down the best repair shop I’ve ever been to. They are honest, kind, and treat each customer with the utmost respect. I’ll never take my cars anywhere else!
I have been here more times than I care to visit a shop, primarily due to elder cars and a bad run of luck. They are always professional and a delight to work with - every detail of each bill thoroughly explained and when work is needed they are super-clear about what is urgent, what is recommended and what can wait. In addition, any time they can save money on parts (or labor, but addressing something when they are there rather than requiring a second opening-up) they share the details. I only mind returning because -- its still car repairs, which are never REALLY fun.
I had a 5 star experience here. Had to get my Hyundai Tucson checked since the air bag light had turned on. These guys called up Hyundai by themselves and found out my parts were in warranty and so suggested me to take it to Hyundai directly instead of going through a costly affair. Since the disassembly and assembly took 30 mins they even charged me half the hourly amount. They are super professional and honest.Ill definitely be coming here again!
The workers there are ALWAYS so kind. I never feel like I’m being taken advantage of. I also love how they check in and thoroughly explain what is going on with your vehicle and give you realistic expectations. As the daughter of a mechanic (who lives too far away to run to daddy for every little issue), I feel safe leaving my car in their care. Even from a phone conversation with them my Dad approves (which is rare). Long story short, a good place to take your car.
Eric and the staff at McCullough Auto Care are knowledgeable and always ready and willing to help you for all your automotive needs. They go above and beyond to make sure your car is in the best working order and always make sure you are in the loop as to what needs to be done and why. They will treat you like family! We highly recommend McCullough Auto Care for any car repairs you may have.
I dropped my car off with Eric and advised him of everything I wanted done to my 2007 Pontiac grand prix which included: a random misfire , a transmission fluid leak, and an evap system repair. I knew about the misfire because it occurred when I drove it . The evap issue was a giveaway because when I tried to put gas in it, the fuel pump would shut off every couple of cents. The transmission was a dead giveaway because....YOU COULD SEE IT SPEWING OUT THE MOMENT YOU FILLED IT WITH TRANSMISSION FLUID 10 out of 10 times; Me and Eric spoke frequently about repairs that needed or had been done to the car; as well as him asking me to put more money down before the job was done at least on three different occasions. Ironic being that I felt he didnt trust me to pay for the work after it was done. Moving forward, i get a call on 3/20/2020 telling me that my car was ready and it had passed emission. I was ecstatic being that I had already put about $3,000 in the car. A new engine, labor, etc. This was supposed to be the last of it. Upon picking up the car Eric tells me that its still misfiring. I found that odd because that was one of the reasons it didnt pass emissions the first time. He also told me he had drove the car at least 200 miles and he did not see any signs of a transmission leak, I also found that odd because it was detectable . Eric also told me that the fluids had been topped off before I arrived. I stood there with my card ready to pay the remaining balance of the 1350 we discuss for (properly) completed work. Within 24 hours my car broke down. I was about 3 miles from my home. The transmission wouldnt go into drive, only reverse. I didnt even open the hood I never prided myself on being much of a mechanic. I called my mom to vent, I had just given the shop my entire check. Immediately after I called Eric, I explained that Id only had the car for about 12 hours. He told me to check the Transmission Fluid!!! I checked it and it was literally bone dry!!! I called Eric back to let him know the condition of the transmission fluid, it just so happened that the mechanic who worked on the car was near, Eric asked him a very straight forward question over the phone, he asked Did you top off the white Pontiac that was parked out front? The mechanic replied Im not sure, even when Eric asked him again he replied the same. Eric verified that I didnt have a transmission leak, so I was thinking that if I put some transmission oil in it, than my problems would be over. I broke down in Walmart parking lot, pretty convenient to get some transmission fluid. I got the transmission fluid and begin to pour it into the spout, before the bottle was half way empty transmission fluid oozed out of the bottom. It was the same leak that was always there. I let Eric know and he basically said that his mechanic had been there 30 years and there was no way that he would lie, so if he said there was no, then there couldnt have been a leak. The video of the leak is definitely confirmation. I got the car towed back to my house. He let me know that anything else that needed to be done would be an out of my pocket expense. I called my uncle since he was the one that referred me to McCullough and he was appalled at the way Eric chose to go about the situation being that the evidence was so cut and dry. They drove my car for every bit of the 200 miles Eric mentioned without any transmission fluid. Fast forwarding, i got the car towed to my house which was another $100 on top of the money I just had spent to have the car up and running. A day or so later i get a call from my uncle and he tells me that Eric wants me to call him. I called and we agreed to go half on getting the car towed back to his shop, so we could get down to the bottom of it. He calls me to let me know that my car is leaking transmission fluid!!! A grommet was missing. So he replaces the grommet. They drove the car again, notified me that the transmission wasnt coming back to life, and it would be an additional $2000 to fix their negligence.
I really wish I could give more than 5 stars because these guys are truly amazing. I called and they were able to get me in that day. I wasnt there long, they took incredible care of my car and kept me informed of every step of the way. The quote I got over the phone was exactly what I paid and they quoted me for some other things as well as quoted what i asked for. They are trusting, honest and just the sweetest guys. You will not be disappointed with McCullough. Ill be going there with all my cars forever now. Thanks again guys!
I first have to say I do not usually write reviews. I usually try to give businesses that do what is expected the benefit of the doubt. The main reason I am write this review is because I would not like another customer to have the same experience I have had.So I went to this location to fix a steering wheel issue. I spoke to Eric and I told him that if their shop could find the issue. I dropped off my car on 6/26/17 around 3:30-4:00pm. He stated they would take a look at it latest tomorrow (6/27/17). 6/27/17 he tells me they did not get a chance to look at my car. 6/28/17 they tell me my car is fine there is nothing wrong with it, this is toward their closing time. I am a working class individual so I told them I was unable to get my car due to work. So they told me I could pick it up tomorrow. 6/29/17 Eric states there is some bumping coming from my steering after the technician pulls it out of the parking space. So I ask if they could investigate it since that was the main reason I bought my car to them in the first place. They tell me it is a steering column issue, I get a quote, and ask them to fix it. I get a call on 6/30/17 that they did not get a chance to fix it yet. Saturday 7/1/17 comes along no call, as I stated I work long hours so I do not think about this. The shop is closed Sunday 7/2/17. Monday 7/3/17 9am comes along no call no message. It has been 5-6 days business days. Eric did call me but by that time I was already extremely frustrated with their service. I was already at their shop demanding my vehicle back. I did some research and I did not believe that this repair would take this time frame. Also I was never given a timeline in when the repairs would be done. As a working individual your transportation is a valuable commodity.Eric was apologetic after I was already at the shop. He even had the audacity to say that they were busy July 4th weekend. That makes sense but I had dropped off my car on the 6/26/17 Monday. He offered the excuse that the people at their shop did not call me on Saturday 7/1/17. He was quick to ask for payment though. He offered a free oil change as a form of compensation. In my experience, I will NOT ever take my vehicle or recommend this establishment to the people I know for the unprofessional service in the front of the shop. As for the repairs, I can not comment on the service because I have only driven the vehicle for a short period of time. I believe the technicians have done their job.Disclaimer: I have uploaded two photos but it only displays one. The second photo is the picture of the oil change compensation in which Eric signed and would provide.
As a twenty-something female with no real working knowledge of cars, I am the easiest target for auto mechanics to take advantage of. Not at McCulloughs though! They are truly an honest, hardworking and thorough business. I have been a patron since I moved down to Atlanta over a year ago and I have yet to pay for something I didnt absolutely need. Plus, they are extremely gracious and their customer service is exceptional. I am so glad I was able to find a mom and pop auto shop down here. I recommend McCulloughs to all of my coworkers and friends!
Time- gave me the high end estimate for how long it would take, and they beat it. I prefer this so that. I like this honesty, and the fact that they beat it tells me that they dont take me for granted either.Payment- for whatever reason, dont know if it will apply to you, they didnt charge me the full hour labor fee, even though they seemed to be working on it for most of the hour. This tells me that at least with me they were honest with their fees.Feel of the place- it feels like an old time mechanic/local place. They even recognized a customer and called them by name when he walked in the door while I was there. They may have a national name brand on them, but I didnt feel like I was dealing with a corporation. They even called me to tell me that I had left my emissions receipt on the counter. Im not ignorant enough to not know that it was done to help make sure that I come back, at some level at least, but the outreach is still very much appreciated.
I was passing through town on a roadtrip when a brake caliper locked up on my van. I called at 5 PM on a Monday and explained my predicament to Eric the manager, the we really needed to get back on the road to Nashville. He told me to come right over and he work us in at the end of the day. We were back on the road in just over an hour. Best service Ive ever experienced and he could not have been a nicer person. Thank you so much.
McCullough replaced a leaking head valve cover and gasket about 6 months ago. I went in for an oil change and the technician at another shop I use when I cant get to McCullough noticed leakage in the valve cover gasket area. McCullough got me in the next day, said it was issue with a sensor seal they replaced as part of the work, and repaired it for me at no additional cost. It is out of my way, but I have been using McCullough for years and they always provide top customer service, price and stand behind their work.
I take my car for repairs and maintenance there due to their excellent service. I noticed they are happy to answer any questions before service and contacted me to let know how it was progressing. They care about the vehicles and their customers. Quality work and they stand behind their service and repairs.
I will start by saying if there were more stars, they would have earned them. I rely on my car not just to get me to and from work, it is where I work from, and this past Friday the bushing broke on my transmission, and most of the shops started by telling me that they would first have to take the transmission apart, etc, without even seeing the vehicle. Frustrated, and to say the least, concerned, I asked the tow truck driver that picked my car up where he would take his, and who he would trust, and his recommendation was McCullough. They were upfront, let me know the first step was finding out what was wrong, then we go to a repair plan, and they did just that!. I was back on the road in less than 24 hours!. Lastly, I will just sum it up like this; BAD MECHANICS are EXPENSIVE, cheap band aid fixings, but you keep paying, and GOOD MECHANICS are PRICLESS because although it may not be the cheapest, but It is done right the first time!... THANK YOU TEAM McCullough! and although I do not know who the mechanic was that worked on my car, but a humble thank you
The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable! If your vehicle has a problem, that problem is told in a straight, cut-to-the-chase, manner with options to fix it.I took my vehicle in the morning and by late afternoon it was running like new! One of the best spots in ATL!
I had my car towed here after sitting in another shop for three days before finding out they could not fix it because their systems were down. NAPA was awesome. They ran the test and fixed my issue in 3 days and only what was needed. The other place was trying to get me to pay for three more items I did not need. So needless to say NAPA got my car running again and saved me $700. I will definitely go back here for my car repairs.
Had a blow out on the exit ramp, limped into McCulloughs Auto Care. The immediately diagnosed the problem. Advised me I needed a new tire (special order) and offered to put my spare tire on until I could get another tire. Guess what - new cars no longer come with a spare tire! I was stuck but McCulloughs sent a driver to Norcross to pick up the special order tire and get me on my way. I had to work from their waiting room on conference calls and emails and they were gracious enough to allow me to do so. I highly recommend them and will certainly use them for any future auto needs.
These guys are great. Easy to work with and trust me I am a pain in the arse. I bring way too many emotions into the repair job. They have this calming and logic effect that makes it alright. I trust these guys and as long as I choose to keep my 1997 Ford Taurus XL on the road these are the guys. As they say in the South straight up and down as an arrow.
Super professional guys! I got stuck on 285 with a battery life symbol. I called right away since they were super close. Eric is awesome! When I came in everyone is really friendly and not even once felt uncomfortable. They made sure to give me updates and did not leave me in the dark about anything. It was reasurring that they can do anything there. My new go mechanics.
I’m writing this review strictly due to their wonderful customer service. I called earlier to ask and just get an idea of how much a repair would cost. The man on the phone wasn’t rude, but could’ve been a bit more enthusiastic with helping me. However, I ended the phone call prematurely because I felt I didn’t get the answer I was looking for. About 45 mins later, Eric, a mechanic there, called me back simply because he overheard my previous phone call and thought I deserved the answer I was looking for. It made my heart smile to think that he went out of his way just to better my phone call experience.I’ve had work done by them before and they are an amazing team, but this by far blew me away the most. What an act of kindness
I take my Pathfinder here for large and small issues alike, as well as regular maintenance. I recently had it towed in due to a split radiator. McCullough replaced the radiator, test drove my car, and had it ready for me the same day. I thought the repairs and tow would cost me somewhere around $1000. Not even close. Whats not to like about that?
We had an emergency on our way home to Michigan coming from Florida. We had stopped for gaswhen we went over a very large curb while pulling into the service station. Immediately upon entering the expressway, we heard a loud dragging sound which did not sound good so I immediately got off the next exit and found a place to secure my pickup and my new to me trailer that I just purchased. When I looked under my truck I saw that the brackets and bands holding my gas tank had fallen down due to rust damage. My gas tank was literally just hanging on, dragging the pavement on one end, Not Good! I grabbed my phone and looked for a near by auto shop. Thats when Eric and his team flew into action! They arranged for a tow truck to get my truck to their business and immediately began the process of accessing the problem in order to get me safely on my way. It actually took a couple of days to get me rolling only because of the nature of the problem and the availability if the right parts. Long story short! Eric and the team of professionals at McCulloughs did an amazing job of, taking care of a stranded traveler and going above and beyond in communicating with me every step of rhe way. When my repair was complete, i was completely confident of the high standard of work performed and very appreciative of the fair price I was charged, i especially appreciated how they made my repair a top priority to their organisation! Thank you McCulloughs! I will forever be grateful for what you did for
Sending my son off to school and wanted to have the car checked out. McCullough gave me peace of mind in assuring that the car was in good shape. Better yet, I did not have to worry that they would suggest repairing something that did not need fixing. They are Honest, diligent and professional.
I was driving down 285E and a truck in front of me flipped up a big piece of tire thread. The impact detached my driver mirror. This was the closest shop near me. Mr. Eric had the car pulled to the back and they fixed it free of charge! I must say The McCullough Service Center is truly genuine! I will definitely be back. Thank you Mr. Eric!
G O O D CUSTOMER SERVICE ...My time in this shop has been nothing short of amazing. After experiencing years of Auto Shop dishonesty at other places(which shall remain nameless), this shop was totally above board, honest, and forthright. I have been doing business here for more than fifteen years. I seldom return to a bad situation. I started going to McCullough Auto Care Center to burn time while my wife underwent Chemo-therapy treatments at Northside Hosp. I have gone nowhere else since, except for required dealer services. McCullough Auto feels like home. Even though it is fifteen miles from my house, it is worth the journey. On my last visit my mother had just passed, Eric, Brian, Rod, and Graham were more cordial than usual. I even asked Eric to look at my warranty to see if that would defray some of the cost. Lo and behold he found plenty of services that applied including an enterprise rental car as the shop worked on my water pump attached to my 2011 Buick Lacrosse. I am so pleased with this shop, words seem to diminish how professional the service really is.If you leave here dis-satisfied you need only check your rearview mirror. You just may see the bane of your dissatisfaction.McCullough AutoCare center exudes perpetual... G O O D CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Only auto shop in Atlanta that my dad will let me go to, and Im 22! They treat you like family and NEVER make you overpay for things you dont truly need. If your tire is flat, they wont push a new tire on you but instead just patch yours for $15. They are not interested in tricking people, theyre interested in amazing customer service!
Eric was very transparent with me on what work needed to be done versus what he recommended. I could tell Eric has a lot of passion for what he does, and I will definitely be going back. The customer service was light years better than what I experienced at Butler and Kaufman.
These guys are awesome! My daughter was undergoing surgery down the road at CHOA when the emergency lights came on in my Sienna. I was already stressed out driving on I-275 back and forth to the hospital. Now, this! I called McCullough. And even though they were PACKED with customers, they got me right in to diagnose the problem. What incredible humans! THANK you, Eric, Brian, Rod and Graham. Such professionals!
These guys have great service. Always looking out for the customer, my truck broke down and they gave me a ride to work while they fixed the problem. Never tried to oversell me anything that wasnt necessary. The owner takes a lot of pride in how everything runs, really treats you like family.Highly recommend.
I had a HORRIBLE experience with this shop.I had my car towed here through NAPAs towing service a week ago and NOBODY even looked at it.I was NEVER contacted by anyone at NAPA after my car was towed. I had to call their office Every single day to ask if someone had even started on my car and every time I would get a different answer. The 1st day after my car was towed to their location, I called and asked if someone had looked at it yet and the person told me No, well have someone look at it by the end of the day or tomorrow morning. I called back the next day, and got the Same answer AGAIN.I called every single day for a week and they kept saying they hadnt even done the inspection yet, let alone even started working on it!! A WHOLE week they let my car sit in their parking lot and no one even bothered to look at it, even tho they told me the very first day they could have it inspected right then.I called back Saturday morning, after my car had already been there for a week and they told me the person who was supposed to be looking at my car was out of town and would be back until next Tuesday!!At that point, I was fed up and tired of getting the run around so I called a Goodyear to come pick my car up.But that didnt stop NAPA from trying to charge me $75 (Even tho they originally told me it would only be $40!!!) for towing my car less than 2 miles just to let it sit in their parking lot for over a week, while they didnt even Bother trying to look at it all!!!!!!!I couldve left my car sitting exactly where it was for FREE or had it towed somewhere else by now if I knew they were going to do that!!Very shady and DISHONEST business practices. If they didnt have time to fix it or just didnt feel like it they shouldve told me that upfront instead of letting me waste my time and money towing it to their shop!I ended up towing my car to a Goodyear a few miles and they had it inspected and fully repaired in less than 24 hours!!!I will NEVER visit another NAPA location. I really dont trust them after going through all of this
I had a very bad experience with this body shop. I choose this business only because its close to my house. I had to change the transmission oil and I brought my car to them. They told that the repair will take approximately 1.5 hour and promised to call when it will be done. After 3 hours they didnt call and I came back to check whats going on. There was nothing happening at all. I agreed to get the car on the morning of the nest day At 6:30 am a body tech called and asked how opening the hood of the car? I still cant believe that they were not going to be able to even open the hood. When I got my car back the oil was liking . The gasket they had to replace wasnt sealed properly . I crawled under the car and fixed it . They charged a lot for that service.
Do not ever take your car here, unless you want to deal with a nightmare! I wish that I could give this place negative stars! Honestly these people need to be put out of business! I took my 99 BMW 328i to be serviced here years ago for an overheating issue. After being charged $700 to replace a thermostat and hose, I get a call about it being ready. As soon as I drive off, the car starts overheating instantly. Went to check coolant level and there was no fluid. Checked the ground for leaks but there was nothing. Called the shop and their response was We drove the car thoroughly and nothing was wrong with it. Does not make any sense because it was still overheating instantly. I took matters into my own hands, at the age of 17, and bought a thermostat for $70 then took 2 hours out of the day to replace it. After installing and bleeding the system, the car never overheated since. I swore never to return to these scam artists. But it does not end there. Last year my 03 350Z broke down, due to a rod knock, on Roswell Rd. right next to this place. It was convenient at the time to tow it to this shop. Reluctant to give this place another shot I decided to, given the predicament I was in. I was quoted around $3,000-4,000 for an engine swap which matched the range of other shops that I called. After paying the amount of the engine which was $2,250 they began the process. I get a call soon after about my battery dying out; which was weird because it was fairly new. Well when I checked my custom stereo system all my radio stations were changed to country music stations. Playing the radio with a dead engine, doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out. So they charged me $92.99 for their NAPA brand battery. Few days later I get notified about the spark plugs being bad, another $128.45. On top of that, a new clutch set for $469.57 due to them claiming I was high speed downshifting because of my age. Then I was charged for a cam position sensor for $128.45! This sensor failed a year later and I bought one for $60 at Advance Auto and replaced it myself! After paying $5,284.49 for a used engine swap with a 6 month no labor warranty I was livid.Still doesnt end there. I began having overheating issues, Deja Vu right? Took it back to them and they claimed it was the thermostat, so I had it replaced for a decent price for once. Few days later my car wouldnt heat up like it should and had a check engine light. Got the code read and it stated FAULTY THERMOSTAT. I said forget it and changed it myself since I have experience. Took the thermostat out and felt like a plastic toy compared to the new one I bought. One other thing, seems as though the mechanic smashed the thermostat on the ground and broke the actual thermostat from the housing. In other words, there was just a hole. They tried to scam me again by doing a thermostat delete that made coolant flow continuously which was why my car didnt reach optimal temperature. Covered in grease, I took the old thermostat straight to the guys behind the desk and showed them. Appalled, they offered to replace it again. I told them NO and that I wanted a refund, which they gave me for $250. Ultimately, they gave me some bullshit story about investigating the situation yet they have never contacted me.I am honestly disgusted with this place and the staff. Words cannot describe my hate towards this place. Just three guys behind a desk that look like they could give a crap about customers. Corporate needs to step in and handle these scam artists and this pathetic excuse for a repair shop. These guys are way out of line with their overpriced labor and overcharging for simple parts. The people that leave five star reviews must be family members or were paid. Take notes from the other negative reviews because I had to learn my lesson the hard way.
My brakes were sounding funny, like whistling whenever I slow to a stop. Their shop is close to me and I always see their lot full of cars so they must be good to continuously have a high inflow of customers. Anyway, I dropped my car off and a little over two hours later they finished on my car and called me to pick it up.It was a good thing I came to them that day, they said because I would very likely had to go to them for body work instead of break work the next day. They found a caliper for one of my front brakes had come loose and essentially hanging freely and causing uneven friction, hence the whistling noise. They did me a solid and prevented an unfortunate accident from ever occurring.Big kudos to Brian and his people at McCollough NAPA Auto Care!
This location will take parts off your car and bill you for labor, diagnosis, towing, parking etc. without doing any work or putting any effort on repairing it. Very poor customer service. I had to scrap sell my car after giving it for repair here. They put you on hold for long time when called on their phone. Do not respond to questions properly and give reasons such as the concerned person is not available for a lot number of times when you call them. One star because that is the minimum for me to post this review.
Excellent service and updates throughout my experience and beyond. I was referred to McCullough and was definitely steered in the right direction. Being new in the area and finding a mechanic, can be a challenge but thanks to McCullough that was eased. BIG thumbs up.
These wonderful folks have worked on my Cadillac Escalade, my VW bug diesel, new Tacoma truck and brand new Subaru Crosstrek. Since 2009. From routine oil changes, major paint and body work, electrical issues and tires. CantC even recall how i first found them, but we would never call anyone else for ANY work that needs to be done. I honestly dont know how they ever get a break because that parking lot is always full, and everyone is a return customer.
I cannot wait to get my car back from these people, I am never making this mistake again. I am now 4 days without my car for a simple wheel bearing replacement (lets see what tomorrow brings). When I dropped my car of I told them I do not want to spend a lot on this car because I am buying a new car, they gave me one price so they can get me to say go ahead and few hours later called me and changed the price. Now its to late and im stuck with the charges, what if I didnt have the cash to pay for the new charge? I guess it doesnt matter because I dont have a damn car right now and lord knows if these guys going to need another 4 days to replace 1 wheel bearing. My father is a mechanic and he cannot believe it is taking them this long, he thinks they are probably doing other damages to my car so that I have to come back to them again. I would not be surprised.STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I WISH I DID
Avoid problems/avoid McCulloughs Auto Repair on Roswell Rd, Sandy Springs --Brian McCullough, (by his own acknowledgement) installed a new fuel pump in my vehicle in an unprofessional and negligent manner, causing the fuel guage to stick, showing adequate fuel in tank, when the tank was in fact empty. This left me stranded Christmas Eve, on the side of Hammond Rd in Sandy Springs, at approx. 7 P.M., in freezing temperature. I had to walk 1/4 mile to phone for help. Within 30 minutes Sandy Springs Police had A Tow haul it to their impound lot in Alpharetta, despite my posting a notice on my window that Id return to my vehicle soon.I had to wait 3 days before I could retrieve my vehicle and pay A Tow $347.The consequence of McCulloughs Auto Repairs admitted negligence and unprofessional fuel pump installation cost me $347. They refuse to reimburse me for their screw up.You cant expect quality service from McCulloughs Auto Care. Spend your money elsewhere.(Note) The, response, from McCulloughs, (directly below my review is totally bogus. McCulloughs has NEVER made any attempt to contact me. They have always had my contact info, (phone #, address, etc.) from the beginning. Theyve never made ANY effort to right the shoddy and dishonest treatment I received.I repeat, take your business elsewhere.VERY disappointed !
McCullough offers the invaluable combination of the technical skill to deal with any automotive issue—for cars old or new, work big or small, customer problems simple or complex—and the uniquely-rare level of honorable integrity that one usually only finds in a family-owned business. Brilliant mechanical competence is the mark on everything they do with your car. Unfailing honesty is the pervasive theme of their customer relationships—from their explanations of their work, to their recommendations for your car’s health and your family’s safety and convenience, to the prices they ask for parts and labor. They know that customer satisfaction should be the inevitable consequence of their policies; and, it is their chief standard for judging their own actions. If you’re not happy, they will want to know why and endeavor to correct it. The reason is not that they have the fallacious, syrupy gloss of a P.R. rep, or even a business bottom-line attitude that customer satisfaction is “a significant metric.” It’s because they have a true passion for the services they render, for the value of their work in itself, and they know that the customer is the primary source of human feedback in this regard.I am not affiliated personally or professionally with them, and I work in a totally unrelated field (software engineering). I am simply a loyal customer of five years who has an appreciation for something that has become too uncommon in our day, the philosophy and approach I just described above, what my father and his father meant when they used the term “work ethic.”
I believed a CV joint was going bad, heard some clicking off and on. They test drove, inspected, and advised repair not needed. They did not repair just to make a sale. They did balance all 4 wheels/tires which I am very happy with, no vibration at any speed ( tested to 88 :) ). I will go back when the CV joint(s) go out and for any other repairs.
Great service, took me in at the end of the day for bad grinding back brakes. Even gave an extra spare part incase I ever loose a decorative device on my wheels! I will be returning to this NAPA! Also, an older male came in praising the company and the employees, I dont even think they charged him!!!!
My wife went to this place for a simple emissions test but after they pulled her car into the garage it got stuck in acc (it has a push button starter) so they couldnt get it to start up properly after. This is not my complaint however. Instead of these guys trying to find a solution they push her car to the side of the building and claim that it is a problem with her key. This is when I go with my extra key and find out what is going on. We quickly discover it is not the key that is the problem so my wife asked them whats next. Now this is the kicker. They tell her they dont have enough time to look at it (its about 2:30 in the afternoon by the way) and she needs to leave it overnight so they can look at it in the morning BUT SHE NEEDS TO PAY $100 PARKING FEE?!?! SO THEY CAN MAYBE LOOK AT IT?? THESE PEOPLE ARE THIEVES!! After a simple Google search I discover all I have to do is unplug the battery, leave it for a few minutes and then plug it back up. So after I fixed that issue we just left without a word. But I still cant believe the terrible attitude and treatment these people gave us. Please dont use this place. These are not good people.

2022-05-03I really cannot count the number of times these brothers have taken care of me, my family and all our various vehicles. We have been loyal customers for more than 20 years! They have done everything we have needed on cars, trailers, used car evaluations for purchase, tank drops, and all the basics. They are very trustworthy and will give you a honest answer on everything and a reasonable estimate on what it will cost to resolve it. They are super busy, so plan to wait a day or two longer than you might somewhere else, but it is worth it!

2022-09-10I brought my car to Mr.Eric & his team back in July. I was traveling from out of state (South Carolina), & Mr. Eric & his team worked around the clock to ensure that my Jeep was being taken care of. The professionalism that can be found here is truly unmatched. I cannot stress enough the great communications & the working around the clock Mr. Eric & his team displayed. To anyone in Atlanta, I recommend coming by & working with such a great group of people! I couldn’t have asked a better group of people to work on my car but also make me feel apart of their family!

2022-03-31I have used McCullough Auto Care for more than10 years. I needed a reliable auto maintenance service because I commuted weekly to Birmingham. One of the nice things about these guys is they listen when I mention an issue with the car, go over their inspection results of my car and review my bill in detail. I have never been disappointed in their service or the cost of the service I received.

2022-03-16Have been going to McCollough’s for decades! Once I found them, I knew they were honest and professional. Not often one can say that about an auto repair place. They have helped me keep my older vehicles safely on the road for longer than I could imagine. I have always been treated with respect, no matter how large or small the issue, which is excellent and reassuring for an older woman.Highly recommend them!

2022-07-31I am not one to leave reviews - but today I was truly blessed to find Eric, Demir and McCullough Auto Care -I had been putting off getting my air conditioning serviced - and I ventured out on a Saturday with no luck from any of the dealerships. I contacted Eric and he sold it to me straight, explained what he could over the phone, the steps they would take and even gave me a fair quote told me to bring it in. It was Saturday and they were swamped but I sat patiently and watched as Eric and his staff delivered the ultimate customer service to each and every customer and phone call. Demir was my technician and he noticed a problem with my wheel bearings that nobody else had bothered to point out and didn’t hesitate to explain the importance of repair, after waiting patiently they delivered as promised quality service and I didnt mind the wait because I didnt have an appointment and he could have said they were booked like everyone else but I think a higher power steered me to Erics shop and he has truly gained a new customer! Thank you for still believing in customer service and satisfaction!!
