You go to order a ICE CARAMEL MOCHA and we have watched on you tube how they make it and 95% of the time its wrong but tonight the lady told me thats what you ordered and thats what that is but it wasnt they had caramel in the bottom its supposed to have mocha in the bottom and on top of the drink it has whip cream with caramel drizzle the machine tells them step by step how to make it and ltd like they cant do it but she was rude turned around shut that drive through window and was fussing the whole time it took all I could do not to go in there and ask what the problem was but I hope everyone else has a better experience 🙂
These young kids eat in your face drink in your face ignore you, dont greet you when you walk through the door, its maddening the way these kids treat you nowadays. I would only go to this McDonalds early in the morning when theyre normal shift people are there. Its one of the better McDonalds in Athens for sure
I ordered my food at 1:40 in the afternoon I waited at the curbside pickup area where I was designated to wait I waited there for 30 minutes I never received my food and several people sold in and out and received their food before me I called the restaurant while sitting in the parking lot and asked if there was a hold up with my food and if there was a problem I was hung up on I waited an additional 15 minutes its still did not receive my food when I called the second time I was again hung up on and I still did not receive my food
This was probably the worst experience I have ever had at a McDonald’s.Would’ve given 0 stars if I could. The drive thru lane was out into the road, the inside was closed for some reason and I couldn’t pick up my mobile order inside and was forced to wait in the longest line that almost never moved for 45 minutes and I did not appreciate the fact that I couldn’t just cancel my order rather than wait and still got COLD FRIES! miss this place when you are driving by you will not be missing out on anything.
I went in to spend some serious money on a meal for my family. However, while there another customer was a bit upset that he was next in line yet passed over for someone else. When he voiced his concern, the cashier, well, he let emotion get involved and a heated verbal exchange ensued. Therefore, I and the customers behind me left the store to spend our funds elsewhere. There needs to be some employee training about leaving emotion out of it and just do your job! I guess it will be awhile more before I spend my money there. Did that employee get reprimanded or fired? He was in the wrong, no?
This place is hit or miss...sometimes they are on point, other times it can take up to 20 minutes for your fast food order to be completed. And please, whatever you do, get out of Jesss line. Somebody mightve dropped her as a baby...regardless, shes human molasses now...seriously, 10mph in 3rd gear. Good luck...& May the odds be ever in your favor.
Lady at the drive thru is so rude and mean. She has zero customer service and attitude. I also heard she saying “people are crazy” which is the customers. Really disappointed with the service I received today. If there was an option to give zero stars, would have given that.I visited this 12/14/21 around 1:15 am. Twice recently I have been at this McDonald’s in the morning and been dismayed at what they have been doing. First time the lines were long and moving slow. When I got to the cashier I discovered why. The cashier was training a person how to make tea! I understand needing to train but it was morning rush. Timing is important. Second time was this morning at 7:30. It was typical morning rush time. A worker decided that this was the perfect time to power wash the section along the cashier and food window. He rerouted us away from the window. A worker had to take our payment, walk to cashier then return change to the car. Again timing is everything. Why do either of these things during morning rush?
The drive-through service was fairly quick, but waited about a minute before someone at the speaker actually spoke up.The deluxe crispy chicken sandwich I ordered was not that great. The bread was burnt and chicken was like a giant chicken tender. I asked for fresh fries and thankfully got HOT fries, but after they cooled down and I could really taste it, it didn’t taste fresh at all. I think they just heated up the fries to make them hot, but it wasn’t really freshly-cooked fries. I kept finding little hair-fuzzies in my food too. This was my first time here and I doubt I’ll be coming back.
The employees are generally really nice, but I have never spent less than 30 minutes in the drive-through, which is frustrating. Also the stores system always crashes around 3am, so I never get a chance to grab food after my overnight shift before they switch to breakfast.
We would give none star if we could. We dealt with the terrible ATTITUDES of two workers last night (around 10.30 - 10.53 pm). Please find out why they did this! First, we were in the first lane trying to order our food. Here is our attempt (just for the context). My boyfriend was ordering: 1 filet fish sandwich, 1 small chocolate shake, 20 pieces of chicken nuggets, and a large fries. I suspect she might have a hard time hearing what he ordered. However, she just literally stopped taking our orders and didnt even bother to repeat them. We were WAITING for her response for a good 20 minutes. So, we decided to move to the first window.Here we were at the first window. A male worker repeated an order which was not right at all. We told him that the lady just did not take our order. He simply said we would have to go around and order again because he cannot take our order and IGNORED us. What MAKES SENSE in this situation. My boyfriend asked to see a manager. He said he was one BUT did not try to find out what was going on or help his customers. So, if he were one, this is how he dealt with the problem?IRRESPONSIBLE! CARELESS! UNPROFESSIONAL!Yes, we were waiting at the window just to react to his attitude. He went away and came back with a nice lady. We were trying to explain our situation to her. This male worker was back there, interrupting the conversation. Anyway, after a good long 12 YEARS, we were the customers. Not anymore from this point on.Phattra
Its McDonalds, what can be said? All I wanted was a tea. Waited like 20 minutes to be served by exhausted, overworked, underpaid people who did an amazing job regardless. Employees were great, McDonalds needs to learn how to speed things up and pay their workers more.
If I could give this location zero stars I would. I am a door Dash delivery driver in Athens and every time I’ve ever gone in this location, the staff members will not even make eye contact with you and will leave you standing there until you have to interrupt their personal conversations to get the order you’re waiting on. Awful customer service skills and extremely rude employees. Manager even walked right past me and 2 other customers with no acknowledgement.
Great McDonald’s location on Gaines School Rd in Athens GA!I ordered a Big Mac and a McChicken, both were excellent. The Big Mac was well prepared.Service was great, I told the guy a joke about burgers. He literally laughed out loud, haha. He told me he’s glad he met me because he is going through a tough time. He told me I made his whole week! These people were so nice, I highly recommend this particular McDonalds!
It always takes forever, but this time was especially horrible. I was waiting at the drive thru window watching at least 4 employees chatting, instead of taking my money. When they finally attended to me, they didnt know what my order was and were rude. I thanked them and they just stared at me. I know working a busy drive thru is not ideal, but it is frustrating when Im at a fast food restaurant and it is anything but. Cant say I will go back to this location and will instead opt for a different fast food restaurant, where I can at least get faster service.
Ive been on the verge of being done with McDonalds for awhile but this one did me in. Several times now its been slow, but today I got stuck at the speaker in the drive thru for 20 minutes with no answer. There system went down which is completely under stable. Things happen. But when they came back up he other speaker started taking orders and no one would communicate with me on the one I was at. When I finally got someone they said we cant take orders our system is down when I asked why 3 cars in the other line had just had their orders taken and moved up she repeatedly loudly WE CANT TAKE ORDERS NOW. Things happen, and I get that. But the amount of consistent terrible rude service Ive had at every McDonalds is astronomical. I would highly recommend any other fast food restaurant in the area. I ended up going to Bo-Jangles and they had 6 cars in front of me. By the time I drove over there, got in line, and got my food a grand total of 7 min passed.
Horrible service, we waited in line for 2 hours and they didnt even take our order at all. We stood at the speacker box for 30mins while they took everyone elses order. I never do this but after working at mutiple fast foods, we not only had a horrible experience of having the wrong order but we also had a horrible service. The lady told us that we must go back in line AGAIN if we want our food we already paid and correct their mistake of the wrong order. Like what??? She yelled at us for their own mistakes. The man and the lady at the first register were trying their best but the lady at the second gave mass attitude and just was not pleasant!!! Dont go if you dont want to be yelled at!
A 20 minute wait in the wait here spot for the drive through as 20 cars drove past with their food. It was rather obnoxious. However, for the price and size of the meal it was worth my frustration. The staff was nice but were likely understaffed as indicated by the wait I experienced. Hopefully they get more staff and next time Ill get more expedient service. Note: the burgers were cooked perfectly and to temperature, but the wait was too much.
I was in the drive thru for a good bit, fries were old. Tastes like they just redropped them. Nuggets was the same. Ive worked at McDonalds before I know what the dropped nuggets taste liked. P.S if youre going to redrop nuggets and fries at least make sure theyre hot.
Was sitting in a long line at McDonalds drive-through when an employee instructed me to go to the other side when I got there the employees on the speaker told me that the lawn was closed and I had to drive around the building and get back in the other line well I called the manager and she said that it was a mistake to go on through The line and I was at the end of the line at this point when I got there the employee Was telling people to hold on for a moment and it was about 5 to 6 minutes at every car that pulled up to the window so I know they were busy but it gets a one star because their employees do not know communication and theyre demanding 15 an hour when they cant even get burgers right
I placed my order online for delivery by Doordarshan, when I finished the order, it came up Uber Eats, then it said that they couldnt contact them, I had to pick up my order, and it was only available thru the drive-thru... there was a long line and it went very slow, when I finally got to the speaker and gave my code, they said drive to the window... I went to the window and they couldnt find my order... my milkshakes were completely melted by the time I got home... they need to keep the curbside open for internet orders... if I have to wait in line, what good is ordering online??
4th straight time I have waited 30 minutes or more for food at this particular restaurant. Not busy. Also not the worst part. I am a former high volume restaurant manager. There was no manager presence. Kid at the register took our order and his “buddies” that came in after us received their food before us. I know they were friends due to the familiarity they had with each other. Was treated like we were inconveniences. I asked how long it would be after 28 minutes and was basically ignored. Our order was incorrect and when I brought this up, the kid appeared to spit in our fries. Fries going to a six year old kid. I advise that you go elsewhere for food.
When I got in line, with 5 or 6 cars ahead of me, I was a bright shining young man, but by the time I left I was eligible to draw social security. From the time I ordered until the time I received my food was right at the 30min mark. It wasnt an odd hour of the night either, it was 7pm. The food was hot, fresh, and correct but not worth a 30 min wait.
I have been to this restaurant several times, my wife recently worked there in the past. There Drive-through service is an inconvenience, I’ve drove through multiple times (it being a dual drive through) cars in one lane seems to merge couple cars at a time while the other lane mergers one every other time. I don’t know if it’s intentional, or customer preference..However, I do know they’re creating an atmosphere, that can lead to violence, if the wrong two people meet.My suggestion to a solution, might be if they installed a lighting system, such as our traffic red-light system, to let the idiots know when it’s their turn to go.
We don’t eat meat so we ordered egg and cheese biscuit and egg and cheese McMuffin! They can’t get it right to save their lives!! Every single time I have to pull up and check and sure enough it’s wrong! They also don’t wear hair nets and I will NEVER eat from the establishment again!
Terrible experience with people that don’t want to be here. I just got my two plain burgers and fries 30 minutes plus after ordering them. Drive through is at least a ten minute wait and inside you get to see them prioritize it and still do a bad job. If you go here drive through because otherwise they don’t care about you. Not that it’ll help your wait
The whole experience at this McDonalds is horrible. The staff are rude, playing on their phones or talking about their life story and not helping the customers who have been waiting to get ordered on. So before you step into this McDonalds be prepared for a rude experience.
Pulled up to drive thru line. Check. Placed order. Check paid for order. Check. Told to pull into one of the reserved parking spaces to wait for order. 10 min go by, go into restaurant told they deleted the ticket. Told they will make it now, 15 min go by. No food. Ask for refund which was done promptly. Left hungry after losing 30 min of my time. Seems to be a normal occurence during off hours. Breakfast was 123 easy. Taking this off the list for a quick bite during off hours.
Well had nice restrooms, actually I didnt go in the ladies room, but the guys room was very clean, good cozy handicap steal, if needed. the seat could use a cushion for those tough days, know what I mean, my complaint is, sign says must wear mask, so I think great, safe place to go in and get food and take out, makes no sense eat in since cant eat through the mask, well I cant anyway, its a giant world I bet someones figured that out, like Chris angel, now he could eat with a mask on, anyway more than half of the employees were not wearing their masks, so if you need to take a leak, run in and out, may be ok, but if you need to do what I did, well, I was in their to long and probably wasnt safe, but I didnt go to the line and see the employees werent wearing masks, the restroom is open entrance door 5 steps forward turn 90° to your right and youll see mens room on the left very back of the eating area, if I kept going straight from the entrance, is come to place an order at
Be prepared to wait in the Drive-thru 15 or more minutes. Just ridiculous. No matter what time of day. I paid for order then when I got to pick-up window employees were just standing there talking fire about another 5 minutes like I wasnt there. All I ordered was a darn SWEET TEA. I have been trying my best not to rate them. I talked to management about why it takes so long. No answers. Do something about this place please. Regular customer
The only reason I go to this location is because its close by. However, this is by far the worst McDonalds Ive ever been to. They are slow and inefficient. Staff is stressed and unfriendly. Even when my order isnt right, Im treated as if I should just be glad I got food. I hate to leave a negative review, but this is a constant problem. Id rather drive across town to the west side location where efficiency and customer service comes first.
The food is consistent and the drive thru is efficient, but the dining room if often dirty and a few of the counter staff are rude. Most of the people who work there are very friendly, though. My biggest complaint is the condition of the dining room. Its been remodeled in recent years, but they are still slow to wipe down tables and clean the floors. It stays pretty busy here, so maybe thats why.
Fast and friendly service. My family has been coming to this location since 2007, and never had a bad experience in this store. On all 3 shifts, employees and managers know us all by face. My oldest son was welcomed into the McDonalds family at this location. A little piece of extended family.
They claimed that they put expreso into my frappe but being a former employee at McDonoalds I know what espresso taste like. On top of that we watched her make the drink and she never put expreso into it and when we asked if she did she said yes. At we went inside and told her that there wasn’t any expreso in the drink she said the machine was down. They are very rude and non professional with their job regardless if it’s just McDonoalds or not the situation should have been handled better.
Ordered 2 Big Macs, 2 quarter pounders with cheese and a large fry inside the store. Took 40 minutes from the time we entered until we received our food. We used mobile coupons and got a great deal and the food was good but the wait was ridiculous. It is Friday night though and both the drive-ins and the store were packed. They only had 1 cash register open. The staff was friendly and as accommodating as possible. Definitely the longest wait Ive ever had at this or any McDonalds.
Unfortunately, the speakers are not functioning well, so the initial person entered my order incorrectly. I moved to the window and gave my order again. This person seemed confused. So I paid, and moved to the final window where the manager was able to fix everything.
I was in the drive through the man behind the register was not in uniform and it was a dirty letterman and i was resting my hand on my face because it was 3am and he opened up the window after we ordered and said “you want any sauce with your finger?”implying my own fingers. disrespectful to customers
We went to McDonalds after a 4.5 hour test review session. It was about 11:30 pm and there were maybe 4 people inside. We ordered our food. If you would like to wait an eternity for a fast food meal, go ahead and eat here. We waited 30 minutes a kids meal and a 6pc chicken nugget. While the interior of the store if very sleek and modern, the efficiency of the store is below 0 and no one seems to care about doing their job. They will make eye contact with you, but wont come up to the register to let you pay for your meal unless you stand long enough or ask them to come.
Its McDonalds. That being said, as far as McDonalds go, they do pretty well. The food is usually fresh, the fries are hot (yay!), the drive through is fast, and its relatively clean. Decent employees, too. Ive never had any issues. Usually, I quick run through the drive through.
If i could give a lower rating i would. The lady who brought out our food was so rude and disrespectful to my husband. The line was so long that everyone had an attitude. This is one of the worst McDonalds to go to . If you come to this one and see a long line go to another one. No one cares at this location. The workers are wither high or just miserable.

I stop at this location once in a while because it’s a just a minute away from my house. But every single time is the same thing. Slooow service. I’ve had experience up to 30 minutes for a breakfast. Inaccurate orders. Cold burgers. Dumped fries up side down....no napkins. All their fryers beeping at the same time...crews going crazy around...messy lobby and on top of everything not a single smile not anymore. What’s wrong with the old Golden Arches and their speedy service and free smiles...???What is the actual corporate rate for this particular location?Is there any QSC&V at this place?
Horrible customer service. Staff seemed to be undertrained and management was horrible on top of the very long wait time when it wasn’t even busy. Definitely won’t be returning if I could rate 0 stars I definitely would and never argue with a customer we’re always right. Customer service 101 fundamental.
Normally would give 4 stars but had a issue with order, my food was not prepared all the way . So I provided order back to manager. Which he he confirmed it wasnt correct. I do say he made sure that I was taking care of. I was pleased with how he handled it. Great management team.
Consistently the worst McDonalds Ive ever been to. Ive never been through the drive thru without waiting 15+ minutes. Today after waiting in the only drive thru line open I had to wait another 5 minutes at the speaker before anyone even took my order. Employees are nice but clearly arent able to do their job correctly or efficiently. The only reason I bother is its the closest McDonalds but I shouldve learned my lesson by now.
I hate this McDonalds. Every time I have gone the drive thru has been incredibly, unbearably slow. Even though it is right next to my house and open 24 hours I refused to go for over a year. Today I really wanted some fries so I decided to give them a shot, thinking that surely during the dinner rush they would be well staffed and I wouldnt have as many problems. Turns out its just as awful as I remember. DO NOT come here unless youre prepared to wait half an hour in the drive through for an order that is probably messed up somehow.
This is, by far, the best McDonalds location between my house and work. The best thing about them is the lady that runs the first window. I look forward to her smile and personality every day! Getting reminded by her that we are BOTH fabulous ladies gets my day started in a happy place and I appreciate that.
Very clean, friendly and the best play-place for the kids around. I dont believe they honor Weds & Sun specials though. Also, I usually set the timer when going through the drive-thru. Ive waited in the drive-thru for over 45 minutes on so many occasions that I just cant bring myself to go here any more. More recently that have messed up my orders quite often. Was much better when I originally reviewed...
I am not a fast foodie girl very often. But on the rare occasions when I crave a breakfast in the middle of the day, I have been known to hit the closest McDonalds.This store has the same issue as the Broad Street location. Theyre super focused on the drive thru service, and indoor service is sadly slow and lacking.
Wait for order was long, the person who brought it out never said a word to me, just handed it to me and walked away; then they forgot one double cheeseburger and the fries were half filled. Went inside and the manager had a poor attitude. She told me that was how they had to fill the fries, that none were full. When I pointed out the ones just filled were o reflowing, she took mine, threw them away and got me new ones, but still forgot the missing item. I had to remind her again.
If I could give zero stars I would. 10 people working that I could visibly see and it took over 30 minutes for one iced coffee and one caramel frappe. I went inside because I knew the drive through would take a ridiculous amount of time but the inside is just as bad! I do not recommend going to this McDonalds. It is not fast food at all.
Was just there and waited over 20 minutes for an order of 2 cheese burgers and two small fries for me and my daughter. The food never came so i asked for my money back. I guess the manager was stingy but had an attitude about refunding my money... Then she said do i want her to get me my food. Im like, thats what your job is, thats what i was here for, to get me my food. OMG... Slow. Watch out for rudeness because she was the same with a customer when we got there. If you have that type of attitude about your job, then any are you working there?
I LOVE this McDonalds. The drive thru was super fast, the employees working the windows were beyond nice, one even had a small conversation with me and the food was spectacular! The only time Ive ever had fresh chicken nuggets was at the Chicago airport. This McDonalds gave me fresh new nuggets and fries. Its so good!!!
Dont know what happened today at around 3am but it was extra chaotic. Went to the drive through and was told to order at window. Wait in line for 40 minutes and upon arriving at the window they told me it was cash only. SERIOUSLY? COULDNT BOTHER TO TELL ME IN THE BEGINNING??? It reminds me that the last time i was here the burger was half the normal size. AVOID if possibe.
Went through the drive through for breakfast and got their pancakes. I asked the lady at the window twice if it had syrup and butter. She got rude and said that is what it comes with. Well I got home and the bag had no syrup or butter. And they wonder why I ask them such absurd questions....
Slowest, most incompetent, McDonalds Ive ever been to in my life. After waiting OVER 30 MINUTES for the food, they still managed to mess up the order and forget an item. $15/hr? You all deserve to be out of work and should be ashamed of the abysmal service you provide at a job that requires very little intelligence.
Been here a couple times. 15 minutes just to order is the usual. But after this last time, Im not going there again.I pull up to the menu , and before I get my window down the lady who was taking orders said something. I didnt catch it, so I sat there for a second. I go to ask what was that. I immediately get cut off, and told that she is taking orders from the second window. Now, I dont know why that was the case when they had two working order menus. She was also very rude when she told me, I guess she expected me to start ordering and tried to cut me off.Either way, the lady was very rude, and sounded audibly irritated. Even so, you dont treat customers that way, especially when they have to wait 15 minutes to even talk to you.Like I said, Im not going there again. And whoever is managing the place should probably be on the grill instead.
Slowest McDonalds in town. Order is always wrong. Have seen the janitor. Hop behind the counter & tell employees, evening shift, to stop talking & cook the food! Waited for 20 mins for food recently. No big deal normally but we were the only people there. There were 11 employees.
Everyone loves McDonalds, we even brave this location, but rarely. Management and courtesy, food in a timely manner is nonexistent. Expect 20-40 minutes wait times, for any order no matter what time of day. This is def NOT chic fila service. Horrible. Good food but horrible service. This is not an employee problem but owner/management problem... poor order expedition and training.
I just bought a number 4 chicken sandwich combo. Supposedly was to have lettuce, tomato and mayo. I dont consider a 1 in diameter piece of tomato, a 1/4 teaspoon of mayo, and 6 pieces of shredded lettuce (yes I counted them) sufficient toppings. Why cant they make the sandwich look remotely like the picture on the menu? Not good.
Service was terrible, tried to clarify an order and got yelled at me for to make sure we had the right order. I ended up having to reorder at the widow because of her impatient behavior. I will no longer go to this McDonalds and will drive twice as far to go to another one.

My apologies to the restaurant on that one.My previous reason for the one star amounted primarily to the atrocious wait time brought upon due to the amount of staff on hand to deal with the customer quantity, where many jumped ship instead of waiting. Another reason that easily cemented it(though I am not sure was the cause of the one star) was a situation involving employee(s) of the restaurant.While I have no idea if things were dealt with on the latter point, I do recall the restaurant being better in terms of the former, though given location, it still has its obvious packed times, and I think I might have been too unfair in that regard in my previous review.The food is..okay. It is McDonalds, what do you expect? Their 100% fresh beef(heh) steakhouse burger and sweet BBQ bacon burger are both on point in my opinion though. If you decide to get either, ask for a sesame seed bun, it is better than the normal bun.
Dont bother going here after 12:30am, maybe earlier, because you will be asked to pull into the mobile order parking spots for a single persons food. I am still waiting for my food after 20 minutes, a single mcdouble. This is nuts. I work at a bar and grill and it would never take this long to cook a burger on a game day.
DONT GO HERE! It took 45 minutes of sitting in the drive thru to even PLACE an order. Once I paid they had me pull into a spot and wait. Over an hour to get food and all we ordered was 2 burgers and fries. This is the worst McDonalds probably in the entire world. Never mind the wait, the employees are rude and lazy. Save yourself the frustration and either eat at a different McDonalds or a different fast food chain altogether.
We dined-in at 3:20am,One of the workers walked out and told us and other customers clean up after yourselves, we just cleaned for the night. Im pretty sure theyre 24 hr dine-in and are supposed to clean tables after each customer, not clean once then tell customers to clean up cause they already cleaned..
I will say we usually have pretty horrible service here but Sunday February 17th we have the best service anyone could ask for. Christy, took our order, brought our food to the table, went and got our son a straw then ketchup, very pleasant young lady. Her parents sure did raise her right! Thank you Christy for making our day!
Nicer since its remodel. With the electronic kiosks where you can place you order, you get a table number for staff to bring your meal up. They still forget to check details on the menu, like sauces or salsa youve requested. Also, if you order a soda, youre expected to go up for the cup, while they bring everything else. Weird.
The day crew is usually hit or miss, but the night crew is usually amazing. There are occasional not-great nights where someone has obviously had a really rough day though. I recommend a quick peek through the bag before driving off...never eaten inside so I cant comment on the inside. Oh! And if you go at night and theres a slender African American woman that calls you baby, that meal is almost guaranteed to be delicious. Then again, could just be she makes me feel so good that I transpose that onto the food, lol.
Cashier refused to give me my correct change. Cashier then said my change was on the ground and that she was not going to open her drawer. Manager had to give my correct change back to me as she gabbled on about her dropping my change on the ground. I also had to wait 50 minutes for my order.....ridiculous!
Best McDonalds in Athens, GA!! If the mess up your order theyll fix it and offer you to keep your original order AND your mess up order. Ive never had a terrible experience here and perhaps not a bad experience at all. All of the managers and team leads are very helpful and understanding. If youre ever in town and need a fast bite to eat i highly suggest this McDonalds!
If i could just leave no stars and still rate this store id probably levae it with negative stars because on one of the hotttest days of the summer we tried to order my baby sister a ice cream and the said the machine was down so we were ok with that or guessed it was fine but then we see someone walk out of the store with two icecreams in hand not even 5 minutes after we ordered our food. And the service sucks and the employes suck at doing there job .
They messed up our order, the place was dirty, when the lobby lady was told to go clean the bathroom she said she has been there since 7 n when she was done stocking she was going home. She then proceeded into the bathroom and said it was clean and walked out. The bathroom had used toilet paper on the floor, both toilets were dirty n had used toilet paper on them. The one thing I can say is after they found out who I was they tried to be nicer about the situation.
They mess up my order 80% of the time. The last time I got lunch there they gave me someone elses order yet again and when I called to tell them about it the rude lady I spoke to said Well we gave you food, so were not replacing your order. I wont be back.Also, the absolute slowest drive thru in Athens.
Last time I was here a fight broke out between an employee and a manager. They were cussing at each other across my car and the cops were called. I had to wait over 30 minutes just to get my frappe. This place definitely isnt fast food, but it sure provides some mediocre entertainment lol.
I drive a ten wheel truck. There is hardly no parking at all here. When i went in to get something to go they were talking about me blocking traffic and taking too long.Obviously bring a truck driver i am very aware exactly how much room i take up and i understand how to make lanes for traffic to pass. So i left plenty of room for the drive thru AND passing traffic.And as far as getting out quickly Im kinda at the mercy of the food getting on the counter
The service is the pits - long wait times, and often, your order is not correct when you receive it. The attitude of some of the employees gives one the impression that they could care less about the customer or their continued employment at McDonalds. The service and attitude has been going steadily down hill over the past year. The owner needs to wakeup, after all there is a new player in the neighborhood: Hardee,s, and they have their act together. Thank you
Attempted to get breakfast this morning for me and the family and used the drive thru. The employee at the drive thru mumbled and was hard to hear. The employee presnted the typical horrible attitude for this location. We drove off without ordering. We have been there in the past and your order is wrong half the time. Highly recommend not using this location.
I love the ladies from the morning/ early afternoon shift there.. theyre always great and remember me whether I walk in or come through the drive through. They basically know me as the caramel frappe lady lol BC I always get the same thing and they even notice when I havent been in awhile. They may not move as quick as some ppl like but they do a great job and try super hard :)
It took 26 minutes just for the large frappe I ordered. Then I was told they were out of large cups for the drink & offered a medium ?!!! I asked how about a regular cup for drinks , the manager suggested to use the medium cup . Im very disappointed in the 26 minute wait then told I can only have a medium after paying for the large 😡😡😡😡
Horrible...food was horrible. Old. Eat area was very dirty. No way to dry ur hands after washing them. The blower was broken and the paper towel dispenser was broken. Self serve ketchup was empty. These are the reasons people eat at Chick fil a. Not bc they say my pleasure.
Only drive through was open and cars was wrapped around the building so it was a very long wait i finally get to the window i tried to confirm the order because by the drinks i knew it was not right but the cashier said she was handing me the right order to not hold the line up any further i pull up i was right she gave me the wrong order and the next car was wrong also i had to wait some more for them to correct the order.
Slowest McDonalds in the entire Athens area. Dont come here, unless you like that dine-in feel in the drive-thru. Sit there for twenty minutes after ordering and then get cold subpar food from someone who thinks you owe them more money than the entire experience was worth.
McDonalds is McDonalds. You basically always know what youre getting. This McDonalds is awful. I never get what I order. Just today asked for two Double Hamburgers. It was correct on the screen and the ticket but only had one Patty when I got it. Please fire your line cooks and get better ones.
I really like this McDonalds, I come here often doing food deliveries. I really feel comfortable on Friday and Saturday nights when they have a local Police Officer in the building till late because the place can get rowdy. This is a great idea and I wish more places would be open to this especially in that area of this McDonalds. A++ in my book.
I was given food from this lady named kailey (or Kaylee). When I got my food I was treated with terrible manners she threw my food at me and told me heres your food, enjoy getting fat from all this greasy food and I thought it was very disrespectful. Thank you for your food but I would not want to come back to that place with her working there. Sorry for your inconvenience.
Horrible customer service! Line Cook rolled her eyes when we asked our double cheeseburgers be made again because they were cold.My partner called her out on it and she just through her hands in the air.But I guess that’s McDonald’s customer service for ya. You get what you pay for
This place is the absolute worst. I can’t even count how many issues I’ve had with them. I normally just go on about my day but this is exhausting. They literally have never gotten my order correct. And they will constantly just delete your mobile order if you go for curbside pick up .
Gang school road McDonalds is the worst McDonalds in the entire state of Georgia! There is no way I would refer any one that I know or anyone that I do not know to that specific McDonalds. They were disrespectful to me there was no 1 at the register until a group of African American Family came through the door. I stood there for 29 minutes waiting for them to ask what I would like take my order I was completely ignored. When the African american families came in they were waited upon immediately! I thought this country had came a lot farther than this evidently I was wrong!!! I will never, ever ever go back to that specific McDonalds.
Slow slow slow slow slooowoowowowowowowwooowoo....How long does it take to get through the line at this McDonalds? TOO LONG! If it werent for their 2 for $5 Big Macs, or the fact that they actually give FREE!! large waters (hence the 2 stars instead of one), or that fact that I have no self-control, I wouldnt go here.And they charge $1.11 for a regular hamburger, but if you order a cheeseburger, its only $1.00. Ive tried a workaround of ordering a cheeseburger without cheese, but sometimes theyll change it to a hamburger without my permission. And Im out $0.33 (because hey, who orders only one hamburger?). Sigh. No self-control.
Really slow service. One of the drive thrus takes 5 minutes to respond. The restaurant also once had their doors closed even though they are open 24/7 and there were people inside (and no one came over to open them for us). Wish I could give it a lower rating than 1 star. By far the worst McDonalds Ive ever been at.
Its the only late night option on the Eastside most nights. Every single time no fail Ive had to argue with them over at least one, almost always a major item, missing from my bag. Its infuriating paying 20 dollars for food to have 6 dollars worth of it missing. Always check your bag in drive thru. Since the installation of digital menu boards and card sliders that automate payments, there is no customer service at this location. Stay away if you can. Sorry Eastsiders if this is what you have to deal with late night.
I waited in the drive thru for 50 minutes with my friend while 6 cars in the other lane passed us. I would have left the line but another car was blocking me in. The frappe was melted and fries were room temperature. Also the woman who was supposed to take our order did not, for 50 minutes as I said, until my friend had asked her again for her to take our order.
The worst! Prepare to wait forever for your fast food and messed up orders. I live in the neighborhood so I can come from an honest place. I blame the franchise owner for under paying its workers. Im sure if they paid a fair wage the workers would take some pride in their work.

2021-07-28Clean space. The gentleman (12:30 pm) in the yellow shirt cleaned the place efficiently. Real dedication. The woman cashier, greeted my family with warmth and though, it was busy, made sure we were recognized. It was one of my best experiences at a McDonalds.

2022-05-05After waiting a miserable 24 minutes for my McChicken, I was greeted with this…. A McHolewhich… not only was the environment stressful enough with the screaming of enraged workers to the frustration of the local crackheads, my meal was ruined. I do not know what the creator of such sandwich used it as/for but I washighly uncomfortable with consuming this product. This behavior from their employees is highly unacceptable and must be addressed by those encharged. They must be held accountable. #BoycottMcdonalds

2021-08-30I have never in my life seen so much mayonnaise on one sandwich. Honestly if it werent for the fact that this McDonalds is right across the street from my house I wouldnt even go. But as it stands, I go anyway and I get a mayonnaise sandwich every time. Its unbelievable how much they use on one sandwich. Its like they just dip the hamburger patties in mayo and then make the burger.

There is one manager that is absolutely kind and sweet, and the other is very… strong willed and doesn’t seem to enjoy her days.There are some crew that absolutely are kind and then there’s this boy that works there (always wears a grey shirt) that is absolutely rude to the point that he’s sarcastically greeting you or rudely handing you your food.He dropped my straw today and didn’t offer me a new one in the drive through so I had to get out of the car to get it off the gross pavement.I understand if you have a bad day, or if you don’t enjoy your job… but customer service is a staple of all great restaurants, having an off day is okay, but when it’s on a regular basis, maybe you should look for something you enjoy.

2022-04-01Didnt get what I ordered & after I had asked for it and already paid, the female working at the window said to pay her $4.00 for something I already paid for. Not only that they were asking if I had Marujanna and asking for my contact information before she would even let me hand her my card. I was so uncomfortable. They were also actively bragging how high they were to get through their shift to 2 am.

2022-01-15Despite being the busiest drive thru in the area, the crew here no matter what day always have a smiling face and are friendly and that’s awesome! You can see they have a lot to deal with on a regular basis but don’t take it out on us customers. I’ve never had a miss hap with my orders or issues with trying to order. Great people work here and they do great work!

2022-03-01Well, we havent gotten to eat there yet and have been twice to try to get my kids the new happy meal. Both times within two weeks they were so cr crowded that the drive-thru was all the way out to the main road and the inside was all the way packed up all the way around to the inside and we would leave and come back and they would still be waiting on their food 45 minutes later and behind the counter working is like 10 or 15 people and everybodys fussing about how is taken how long to get their food and both times we went was like this and both times we went one of the managers got in arguments with a two different customers and chased him to the parking lot and told them never to come back to her store again so I dont think well be going back to that one ever again until they get some new people in there because theyre not working theyre not even doing anything if theres that many people working behind that counter they should have no people waiting whatsoever and definitely should not have rude managers that run the store either!!!
