Mediterranean Grill in other cities:
When I entered the restaurant, two workers were on their phone, did not looked up for help. When I asked where to order, they showed me.I dont remember whether the guy in the counter greeted me or not, but I felt a cold atmosphere. Our order came, dessert missing. When I went to counter for dessert, they gave it, but without acknowledging their mistake. And later on, I found they have me walnut baklava, not the pistachio that I ordered. The kids chairs was filthy, there were obvious stains on them. When my wife tried to give them a feedback about it, she found them very indifferent. Some of the above stuff might be found maybe in any restaurant, and each one of them is not big deal, and fixable with good intention. Hope they fix it.For the food, I dont think youll lick your fingers, but their food is avarage fast food taste, might be a level above.
I ordered lunch through UberEats on 1/13/2021. We had hummus, a gyro plate, the pickles, a falafel, and a order of tzatziki with gyro meat. Everything was hot and flavorful with just a little salt and lemon needed for the tzatziki. My daughter and I were so happy with it, that I will be going again today with ten other people to celebrate my sisters and my birthday. I will be going to a different location for convenience and hope the same quality of food will be provided there as well.
My family and I visited at 4:15pm on a Tuesday so it wasnt busy at all. When we walked in there were 2 ladies sitting at a booth together and another man in a booth alone. No one acknowledged us or told us where to go or what to do. Come to find out the man in the booth was an employee on a break. We took it upon ourselves to sit at a booth and wait for a waitress. A waitess never came. Another female employee walked past our table and said nothing to us as she went to clean the other booth that the ladies just left from. I said hello to her and she spoke back and still no guidance on how to get food or service. We saw 2 ladies come in and go to the register/cooking area to order so we asked the waitress cleaning the other table if we needed to go to that area to order and she said yes and thats it. It was a very cold and weird vibe in this place. The female employee proceeded to go on a break in the booth next to ours while my husband ordered our food and she sang songs outloud in between bites. When our food is ready, they yelled my husbands name to come back to the cooking area to pick it up. While we were there we did see that almost everyone that came in was treated with this same disregard by employees except one man that was treated like royalty. The cook/cashier spoke to him upon entry and delivered his food personally to his table. While we waited for our food, myself and my children went outside to our car to change my daughters diaper and I was harrassed by a man begging for money and he began to speak inappropriately to my older child with me. The food was hot and tasted well with no complaints from any of us. The service was terrible. We were visiting from out of town and will not return to this restaurant again.
Generally unimpressed with the service and food. The rice was extremely lacking in flavor and it looks like it too. The steak was dry, the gyro was rubbery, and the tzatziki was thin and almost tasted like a ranch dressing. The kafta was actually a bit tasty, though still on the dry side. The prices were decent and the portion was fine, but I dont see any reason to come back.
Man this place has really gone downhill. It used to be a solid 5 stars. It had great reasonably priced mediterranean food. Now everything is just ok at best. The pitas are stale more often than not, their produce is questionable quality, and their gyro meat is dry and they give you a tiny amount. It feels like Im paying for a stale piece of bread with 1 slice of meat.I just cant justify it anymore.Their hot sauce is pretty awesome though, when they actually remember it.
I love middle eastern food but in my life this place has messed it up the pita was hard and not warm at all and I waited for the calamari rubber and dress with the lettuce that should have been put to death oh lets not forget the Milly tomatoes so thanks for the wonderful meal
I got the mixed vegetables platter with rice, hummus, pita, and a greek salad. It was a ton of food, so definitely a good value considering I was left with a lot of tasty leftovers. The grilled vegetables and hummus were incredible! The greek salad wasnt great and Id pass on that next time. The pita is also pretty dry/tough. I ordered online and the pickup experience was fast and friendly. I realized they forgot the hot sauce and tahini I requested when I got home, but it was a solid 4 star experience overall.
I was excited to try this place but I wont be back to this restaurant. The food was just okay, nothing special. Most of our entree plates were filled with barely dressed, very bland salad. Very small portions of anything that tasted good. Falafel was dry and flavorless. The hummus was good but the food in general was very overpriced for the quality and quantity. A tip for the staff, dont loudly complain about privilege while you are gainfully employed in a room of quiet customers. I dont want to hear you complain about how some customer stiffed you a few dollars. Also, you have some nerve critiquing us in a rude tone while we are clearing our own dishes after giving you a $ tip while ordering. Lost our business.
I havent personally been here but my co-workers and I ordered takeout from this place. I got lamb shank, which was ridiculously terrible. I will never be ordering lamb shank from this place again. The meat was totally undercooked and disgusting. However my coworkers got the beef platter and chicken sandwich and they were all very happy with their foods. The baklava on the other hand was absolutely amazing and I will be back for some baklava for sure.
Just went vegetarian recently so I had a vegetarian sandwich and Greek salad, both of which were really tasty. Plenty of other options on the menu and in the past I have enjoyed their chicken dishes and various kebabs. This place is a favorite of my social group. Theres not a ton of seating for groups larger than four. Staff is friendly and theres not a long wait to get your food. You order at the counter and then they call you. I think the value is really good.
I go here all the time! Their hummus, chicken, gyros and baklava are absolutely to die for . There are a few of these dotted around Atlanta and Ive been to all of them. The staff is always friendly the food comes out very fast and this is definitely my favorite Mediterranean place around. Also, for small events I have gotten their catering several times and all of my guests have been blown away . This is a really really great spot for lunch or to pick up some food for dinner
I ordered the falafel sandwich without salads or anything and they gave me the sandwich with salad, hummus and tahini. Not only that but the ratio of the falafel in the sandwich does not make any sense. In the whole sandwich I only had 2 falafels. The rest was things I did not order.
Great food, service, prices. Excellent babaghanouge, hummus, kefta, everything, really, although i prefer moister dolmas with more lemon. We have been eating here so long i forget how spoiled we are with med grille, and i expect the same quality from other restaus in other places, but nothing really compares. I recommend this restaurant for eating on site, takeout, or delivery. They always include the right amount of tzatziki, harissa, or other condiments, they take care when packing an order, and they pretty much always get it perfectly correct.
Cheap, very filling, good food. Its not great though, Ive had better Mediterranean but when youre hungry this is a nice spot. The interior is hole in the wall esque. So dont expect much on that front. The only thing I really thought was weak was their baklava. Its just not up to par with so many other places in the city.
The food here is excellent and I was excited to finally find a place that serves delicious baklava - they make the traditional maple pecan baklava but also had a pistachio flavored one which was awesome! The servers are very friendly and knowledgeable. Im deducting one star because I questioned the cleanliness of the place; there were several annoying houseflies hovering around us and near the trash (which is located right under the drink dispenser).
They had a great Shish kabob plate with hummus. The atmosphere was lively and the service was fast. I’d put them a bit lower in my rating, based on the uncharacteristically loud gangsta rap playing and dark feel. I’d go here for a quick inexpensive bite but not for a nice dinner or date. It felt more like a Subway than a sit down restaurant.
Always great food here. One of my favorite places for lunch or dinner. The portions are large, the food is fresh, service is great, it’s just a great hole in the wall place. The combination plate is my favorite and during the week for a before three it has a great reduced price that can’t be beat.
Solid selection of Mediterranean food at reasonable prices and good portions. I was pleased with everything I had, except for the rice, which was fairly bland. The service was hit or miss. The guy taking the order clearly didnt want to be there anymore and was just trying to leave. He forgot to add our hummus even though we confirmed with him it would come with pita. The rest of the staff were great though. Also, the dine in portions of hummus are about half of what you get for take out. Overall, its worth checking out if youre in the area and need that Mediterranean fix.
The gyro was fine, but the drink and utensil areas need work. Building is pretty run down and for the prices they charge, seems they could do a better job. I.E.: Easy fix, dont leave a trash can by the drink dispenser. Not only is it unsanitary but its actually in the way making it difficult to reach my root bear.
We were staying at a hotel in Midtown and didnt feel like going out, so ordered food from here. We were pleasantly surprised with how good the food was and the quick service. The chicken kebabs were really great, but the rice was just a little plain. However, I dont even like taziki but I could have eaten it by itself it was so good. The falafel was also enjoyable.
Terrible food quality. The food has no taste. It tastes like plain meat and bread. The quantity is a joke, bought a platter for $13 just for 3 pieces of meat and the rest is rice. The people who work there are very rude. They all talk to you like they just wanna get rid of you. My friends and I had the worst dining experience there and we for sure are never coming back to this place.
Great food/great flavors! Nice servers! On top of that, the food inspection score has been consistently high:Mediterranean Grill (Food Service Inspections)985 MONROE DR STE F ATLANTA, GA 30308View inspections:August 28, 2013 Score: 94, Grade: AMarch 6, 2014 Score: 90, Grade: AAugust 5, 2015 Score: 93, Grade: AMay 23, 2016 Score: 91, Grade: AJuly 13, 2016 Score: 92, Grade: A
Consistently good Mediterranean comfort food at inexpensive prices. You want gyros and humus? Theyve got gyros and humus, and there wont be any left on your plate when you leave. The staff treats you like family... but they do see me about once a week! Is it weird that I *always* have root beer with my gyros? Nah, didnt think so
Think upperscale Mediterranean fast food . The seating is cozy -- almost tight. Youre channeled to place an order at the counter, and pick it up a little ways down. The counter staff is varied in their overall friendliness, but always efficient. The food itself is simple but very good, and enormously plentiful.
You will not be greeted.Your order will not be prepared with any kind of love or care. You will over pay. They will under deliver. You will have diarrhea. (Yes, we are clean ourselves and wash our hands.)We walk in, line empty, a few teenagers were there as customers and were eating something they already ordered. We order a gryo, a gyro plate and a gyro kids meal. 45 minutes later our number is called - no other customer has ordered or arrived. After we sit down with our food, we observe the dinner rush arrive and they served around 8 people their meals in 20 minutes. Unbelievable. I had a bad feeling about this place at the register - 4.2 avg reviews on Google? Sham.Nasty minute rice, unseasoned and under cooked lamb, and stale pita. How do you ruin Greece like this?Crew appear to be careless, unclean group of young men youd expect to find harassing women on the street. They have some awards on the wall from 2006 - it is very clearly not the same restaurant 12 years later.AVOID.
Well one day I ordered from this place it was great. So good that I wanted my boyfriend to try it when I tried to place an order for delivery today they explained they couldnt deliver to me it was outside or their area. I explained to them that I had already been delivered to by them and no one mentioned that just 24 hours before. The man protested said he wasnt sure who worked yesterday but he wouldnt do it. So do to inconsistent service Ill never dine with this company again. Very disappointed in this as I work in the service industry and give amazing tips.
Never again. Twice Ive order from this restaurant through UberEATS and twice they have not fulfilled the order. Not only did they not fulfill it, but they did not notify or cancel the order through UberEATS so for 30+ minutes I was able to read preparing order in my app. After calling the restaurant, I was informed that they had received the order, they even knew my name because the order came through, but that they were not fulfilling the order.Food may be decent, I wouldnt know, but their service is absolutely terrible
Eating from here during time of corinavirus is playing Russian roulette. I just spent $50 there on food that I want to throw away because while there I observed one of the gentlemens preparing food reach with his gloves for a customers phone and then without changing gloves continue on to prepare my food. Dont be fooled by the fact that theyre wearing masks. Thats my last time here.
Went there with an instant craving for some Mediterranean food. The place was not super clean. Back of the restaurent where they keep fountain drink machine is dirty. There was mold by the drink machine. Makes me wonder about the kitchen.About the food, being a vegeterian, I ordered grilled veggie sandwich. I wish I had not. They used high water content veggies like tomatoes and squash etc. Which made the sandwich too watery. Water was constantly dripping onto my finger during the whole ordeal of eating. But since i was super hungry and out 7$, i decided to go with it. It was a mess by the time i finished it. I had to use like 10 napkins. Becides, some of the veggies were too hot from within that you burn your mouth while eating.May b i just picked the wrong thing from the menu. All in all very okay place. Much better Mediterranean places are there in the area.
Its not to often that you get to sit down in Istanbul right here in Atlanta, the experience is great. Would be better if they had a patio but thats not for them to solve. The combination plate and gyro are the go to. Serving size is just right and the staff is welcoming.
This is my BFs go-to place for mediterranean food, so naturally I was expecting to be blown away by what showed up on my plate. Not so much. I ordered a gyro plate - everything (and I mean everything) was underseasoned and tasted a little pre-packaged. It was not horrible, it just wasnt good. If Im craving mediterranean food, will stick to my go-to spot downtown - Alibabas. Cheap and very tasty!
Ordered lunch several times through Uber Eats and items were left off. Then when I called Mediterranean Grille they blamed driver for leaving them - even though I spoke to driver and saw that he did not have items. So nobody takes responsibility and we are left paying for items we never received. This happened a few times but we only called once to resolve and this was the response we got from the owner.
The worst gyro Ive ever had, which is surprising with the reviews. Meat was cold without any visability of char or exterior cooking. Little lettus. Pita bread was chewy (also not toasted) with poor flavor. Very disappointing, particualrly since I decided to splurge for a nice lunch out. Should have saved the money and eaten PB&J at home.
One of the worst restaurant experiences ive encountered. The staff is very impolite. I had to wait a long time to get my plate. And the food didnt tatste right. The rice was plain and the kebab was undercooked. Definetly, will not return to this place. I would rather go eat fast food.

2022-05-09So my friend and I came here for a late dinner on a Thursday night about an hr before closing. Great food, excellent service and good authentic menu.I got the Spanakopita with Greek salad, side of which was suppose to be red wine vinaigrette was more like a salsa dressing and tzatiki sauce and my friend got the gyro dinner plate.I was dismayed at how small my spanakopita was but it was delicious and expertly crafted to be flakey and flavorful. His lamb for the gyro plate was perfectly cooked tender and good pieces cooked and seasoned to perfection. The Greek salad was nothing to write about other than more cucumbers please! The Greek yogurt sauce is very good but it would be even better if it had more zest from the lemon and less chunky.Overall food quality but more portions would’ve been nice for the price. Next time I’ll try a different dish.

2022-04-14The business lunch continues to be a fantastic deal even during the inflated prices of 2022. $9+tax gets you a massive meal (especially if you sub the salad for Greek potatoes) and soft drink. All the ingredients and food that comes out is fresh and flavorful. Highly recommended for anyone who wants lunch and some for dinner at home. The inside and amenities on site are not spectacular, but that is not what this place is for. It’s a hole in the wall, excellent deal type of place. All the desserts are fantastic, and all of the menu items are spectacularly prepared. I have been going since I started school and still eat here all the time.

2021-11-08Rice was hard and undercooked. First time visiting and I ordered the jumbo shrimp and they weren’t jumbo. I ordered food from here because I was hungry and close to Piedmont park. I live less than 20 minutes away but the pita bread was cold, tough and chewy when I got home.Salad looks fresh and the customer service was decent. Not sure if I’ll return or if I recommend.

2022-03-19This place is fire!!! The food was absolutely delicious and the menu featured so many mouth-watering options. We ordered in the restaurant, and ate our food outside at the couple of outdoor tables they had. After a day walking around Piedmont Park, this was the perfect lunch!! Everything was cooked perfectly and there was so much food in each portion. Everything down to the salad was absolutely phenomenal, and everyone in our group was more than happy ☺️

2022-04-25We discovered this place on UberEats and it has become a company favorite. Best kept secret, best Gyro in town, and just delicious all around. The Greek salad add Gyro is just a healthy delight, and a simple dish that packs a big punch. We believe the magic is in the vinaigrette *chef kiss*Always a favorite. Keep up the great work.

2018-09-29Busy on a Saturday night so togo food took about 15 minutes. Nice decor although it could be cleaner. The grilled vegetables were the best thing Ive eaten in a really long time! This food is amazing and its worth the wait. The tzatziki was soupier than Ive had at other places but has a good flavor. I was waiting for my food and reading other reviews and saw someone had posted they didnt like the rap music playing. Funny just at that moment the manager said can you turn that off and put on something less explicit? It wasnt really bothering me but I waited the rest of the time in silence Hahaha
