Cost extremely too much just to bowl. Most of the games in the arcade were down paid 76 bucks for 3 kids and 1 adult inflatipark wristbands and three metro fun cards for the arcade portion with about 1200 credits on each card most of the games that were working were between 150 to 250 credits to play. When going to redeem the tickets that we had won the gift shop wasnt open we had to go and find someone so they could help us and also the redeem machine was broken would not recommend
My bff and I have such a good time 1-2 times a month! I usually beat him in bowling and pool, but let him him win sometimes😜 He wins at skating, hands down....Dont judge from the parking lot and entrance. They have renovated inside and still working on extra seating. Clean bathroom. Multiple bars🍷🍹🍻 for adults (they do card u). Multiple game rooms. Family fun for everyone! LOVE THIS PLACE!!!❤
Nice area for kids to come and play. They allow parents to get in some of the bounce houses(not sure if the policy has changed since COVID). Attendants are in place to help kids if needed. Very Spacious. My two had more than enough room to play. Concession Stand out front. Was very satisfied with the price & services. They check you in at the door and if you have any outside food they will ask you to take it to your car or throw it away. Please be sure that your child comes with SOCKS!!
Didnt really enjoy myself like I thought I would. Theres no organization and no real room for the kids to be and no one attending to tables. And it would be nice if they let u know at the pay window that family time is over at 10 and not kick u out like u at the club...dont think I will return.
With a few improvements this place could be dynamic. We came for skating at 10 but doors were not opened until 10:17. This left many people standing in the cold and cut down on our skating time. The skates were old and beat up and the floor had dents in it. There was a good mix of music and the food was delicious. The staff is friendly but a few more people would help things move more quickly. We had a great time but hopefully more attention will be paid to the details I mentioned.
I was early for a birthday party so I was able to see a lot of the comings and goings. This place is very disorganized. Several families didnt understand the price difference for bowling or the laser portion. There could be a posted sign and no one will be yelling at anyone. When we got inside, the reserved table wasnt labeled, there was a huge pile of trash in the center and no one was cleaning up. Kids, who can obviously skate well, were horseplaying with the starter things. My kids enjoyed skating but it was not worth the money.
Customer service is horrible here. We were told they close at 8, so my nephews wanted to play arcade games for the last 30 minutes. 15 minutes later the employees are telling us we need to leave and are going to turn the games off. I had just spent money on game cards that my nephews couldnt finish using. Then when I approach an employee by the name of Leo(assuming hes a manager)and express my concerns he tells me oh we close at 8 but be we close earlier so we can give the employees breaks. I said well maybe you should tell your employees to notify the customers when they are paying that they dont close at 8 and its before 8. Then he goes to say well Ill take care of you next time and Im like how you know Im coming back. He didnt ask for my name, or even try to resolve the situation, offer anything to a customer complaint. He just said Ill remember your face. Try support businesses and get treated like this. UNACCEPTABLE!!!
The shoe rental ladies and the bartender was so nice ... my son had his eyes on one of them ... lol ... the music was on point my daughter was jamming more than she was bowling ... we really enjoyed ourselves... I do think they should have better kid friendly prices especially kids under 5 and more food choices
We came here on our trip to Atlanta. As it was a rainy day, and needed something to do indoors, we came across this place on Groupon. This place was definitely ghetto to say the least. The entrance has security that’s asking people to show their belongings and patting them down (uncomfortable for those who don’t want to be groped by the opposite gender). Upon entering, there’s a plexiglass window to buy tickets for Bowling, Skating, Inflatables (bouncy house for kids), and laser tag. The play areas are divided for specific activities with their own security entrances. We bought the 2 hours unlimited bowling for two, and it was worth it for the price. The bowling area was dimly lit, and had really loud music blasting. The bowling alley and lanes were outdated with old school software. The lanes seemed to be uneven, as our balls would constantly shift to the left of the lane (we bowl often and don’t suck). We had to deal with that for 2 hours of bowling, which was about 5-6 games. After bowling we played a couple of games of Billiards. It’s $1 per game fed into a token machine, the machine dispenses a token, and you insert the token into the billiard table giving you the balls. The pool stick and cue ball can be borrowed from the front desk in exchange of your ID.Overall a great place for some indoor fun, will be returning to skate.
As someone who runs a business in customer service the staff here are unprofessional from the security guard to some of the workers the place is supposed to close at 12am we booked our lanes at 10:30 only got half way through the game and two more of our friend came at 11 and they wouldn’t let them in when asked about it was kind of a so what it is what it is mentality I came in with my team looking for a good quick night bowl and this place didn’t deliver I won’t be coming back to bowl here no bring or reccomend any of my team to come here
All the managers are rude and they need new skates all the skates look 15 years old. Also in the play area most of the games are broken or they either takes your points from the card you have. It could be better if they added a actual basketball hoop somewhere in the building instead of the bootleg arcade one. How can you expect someone to pay full price for something like that.
My daughter had fun skating here shes 8. I had a groupon for 2 that cost just $7. Skate rental sold separate for $4 each. And I also rented the plastic holder to help her skate solo and less falls for $5 bucks. Spent a total of $20 for us both. Not too bad. We had a good time.
Found this place on eventbrite. Went for the first time yesterday and i had a great experience. My baby really enjoyed herself. They have so many things to do for kids and adults. Jumpy house, arcade, food, skating and bowling. The staff are very professional and prices are affordable. We came back again today because she had so much fun. Definitely Would recommend.
Joke!!! The so called arcade… half the games are broken. The staff walking around on cellphone playing with other employees. The check in process is ridiculous. Someone needs to fix this problem. Customer service is a problem!!! The manager literally answer her phone while checking in customers. Told us to hold on. Never AGAIN!!!!!
They are unorganized for one.In order to bring your kids in here you have to pay for your kids and you have to pay $8 more to watch your kids even if you dont do anything in here they dont have a set price for a party or birthday party I will not be coming back hereP.S.A.I will not take this down
Took my babies there for the first time trying something new but we won’t be going back the music they play is not for kids there’s more adults then there were kids and the staff told us specifically there was a kid side which adults took over not something I want to keep taking my kids too and not enough things for kids to do for the money u spend there
Come early and there are lots of kids, the later it gets, the more young adults come out. Overall a fun time skating, playing pool and bowling. Off-duty APD patrols and handles the security, so thats a little comforting. The food outside the bowling alley and pool hall is good. The oxtail and ribs were good, mac-n-cheese was so-so, but Id definitely eat there again. Professional Skaters this Rink is NOT for you! The floor is actually an old basketball ball court floor that was converted into a skating rink. The floor is horrible. Its uneven, its dirty and severely damaged.
It was my first time visiting the place and it was great! The hostess was nice and dealt with all the children we had with the party well and she was helpful with any questions we had. Also, the food was alright a little pricey but it was alright. I will definitely be back for one of my other kids birthdays.
Black owned and proud to support!!! Any sip and skate night with DJ ham is a vibe! They have an inflatable area, arcade area, bowling, roller skating, VR Play area, laser tag, food, drinks (for children and the adults 😎), and memories to cherish! I always come back!! Come celebrate your birthday party here!!!! 🎉🎉
We enjoyed ourselves at Metro Fun Center. My young adult children and two year old grand had fun jumping in the inflatable section. Bowling was a lot of fun! This business is in the black community and black owned. Super proud! The staff were extremely friendly and consistented of a lot of young people. I felt very safe. They have security officers present who were also respectful. There is no reason to got to Buckhead or another community when we have a perfect place to have a good time in our communityI also appreciated that they offered vegan burgers. Its rare that we can go to entertainment centers and eat food other than fries. The fried oreos I was old was amazing. The prices for adult beverages were reasonably priced as well.
I really love this fin center. They had everything you needed in one place. Everyone of all ages will enjoy Metro Fun Center. Now the parking lot needs to be be resurfaced and lighting is a major necessity at night. I love the fact that theres security in the parking lot.
I came to skate Sunday. It was okay. Set up is nice, but my experience was bumped down to 3 stars when an associate said I couldn’t be on the floor with my active Nike pouch. After skating for 2 hours! Killed my vibe for real. I MAY come on sip n skate night if they fix the floor. That’s all.
I knew going that this is an establishment in an urban area for the residents. I felt safe going in, the ticket purchase process was quick and easy. The skating rink was small but not crowded. The perfect weekday place to learn roller rink skating. Oh and its only $5. I am thinking of going everyday. Great workout! I havent been to the other side, so this review is for skating only. Only downfall was the snack bar was closed, maybe for covid
Great place, I always have a good time when going to this place. I mainly roller skate, so thats mainly where I am lol I have bowled and played games , and still have had a good time. Its not ever to overly crowded which is good. Some say the drinks are good , food is not bad either (but you can decide on that ). Some Saturdays are packed , but never overcrowded. Overall a good time waster 😊
I was initially impressed with the entry procedures. But there were many customers without masks inside. Then the choice of music played with so many young in the facility was so inappropriate. We will not be back.I appreciate the response to my recent review. Let me say that I agree that everyone can not be monitored for mask usage. As the place was not crowded, being at a distance was not hard. As for the music, I have to disagree that it was family friendly. I have been bringing my grandkids to Metro Fun for years, and attended many birthday parites and other events there. I can honestly say Ive never had an issue with the music before. So perhaps this particular day, those playing the music were not really paying attention. And it definitley contained profanity. After constantly hearing n***er; b***ch; and such it was time to go. I know the kids will want to go again sometime in the future so I would like for them to be able to do that. I would like to know who should be spoken to if this type of music starts playing during a visit. Thank you.
I always take my daughter there for her birthday but yesterday my daughter went there for one of her friends birthday party. She said she had a blast which was awesome. The place was packed out with children skating, laughing and dancing to the music. So as long as she had a good time thats all that matters. Ill add a few photos of different times that shes been there later.
The bartender was the only excellent service I received this Thursday night. From the security guard outside, to the cashier up front, to the irrelevant guy that checks your receipt, to the food service people and the lady for getting shoes for bowling just felt like they didnt want to be there and didnt want us there. I have been there several times before but todays experience was very....shitty😒
We threw my niece a birthday party here and we enjoyed ourselves immensely❤️ There are 3 to 4 large areas, that are not connected, with each event offered (Bowling, Skating, Inflatables, Laser Tag/ Arcade) Music was awesome! More so for adult taste but it was clean versions! Would definitely visit again but wish they had a separate line for prepaid reservations, we stood in line almost 30 minutes of our party time to get our passes. For $250 bucks we should be greeted and not have to wait with 10 anxious kids!! The window clerks where not the friendliest. A smiling, welcoming attitude goes a long way! Our birthday table was not labeled so we had to assume it was ours, we were not led to the table, basically just dropped off to fend for ourselves 🙄 again for $250 they could have done better with that. The food was really good, BUT it took a while as the place was packed at 5pm on a Saturday, waitstaff was a sweet young girl but she only checked on us once during the party. Overall we enjoyed it, it’s worth a visit! I commend this establishment for offering safe space in the community but professionalism definitely needs improvement.
The place was extremely packed. Clearly they make a lot of money offering cheap parties because there were so many of them going on. I wanted to rent a holder to help my son skate and they were out. The floor was packed and children were being knocked over. And lastly, it was filthy.
Has the potential to be a great entertainment venue bur definitely needs some work. Why do parents/adults have to pay if they are not skating and only bringing children? Also, they were painting and under renovation with patrons inside..come on people!!! Do this during non operational hours or shut down and take care of your business. Do not subject your patrons to fumes during a pandemic and getting paint on their clothes.
I had a good time bowling with my family there; however, the arcade was very run down and dirty. Both card machines were basically broken. One thankfully worked but it was cash only. Then pretty much every game was broken. The card machines on practically were dysfunctional leaving only a few games available to play. The game also displayed that there was a ticket error and we showed one of the staff members and she rudely denied us the tickets because someone else already reported the problem. She should have just kindly told us that instead of catching an attitude. If yall want a better rep, yall need to upgrade yalls equipment and keep it in sufficient shape. Thankfully my family and I still managed to enjoy ourselves.
It was fun for the most part. Some of the games were not working for the kids I like the fact that it had a side for kids and one for adults there were adult games a live DJ music was good the food was really good loaded fries and the bbq dinner was really good the drinks were pretty good it was a altercation that occurred but the staff and security took care of it before it could really escalate one of the young ladies in my party got her phone stuck in the air hockey machine 3 of their employees got it out that same night when they called the person that fixes the machine told them to tell us they would have to mail their phone out they wouldnt be able to service the machine until Tuesday the staff carex enough to help us any way they SCORED MAJOR WITH THE HELP THEY PROVIDED US WITH I will have to find thier names and post it ! Thank you all !
This is a fun place and we enjoyed ourselves coming to skate here. However, not one single staff member was wearing their mask correctly, almost all of them had it on their chin and if they didnt their nose was uncovered. No one was telling any of the guests to wear their masks either. There was trash and spills on the floor of the rink, making it difficult to maneuver for people that arent very good at skating. Theres also damage on some parts of the floor that can cause you to fall. I also really wish they played more old school skate jams. Its hard to skate to mostly modern rap music.
I gave this place 5 stars because they have been in business for some time now and in this location that is commendable. They have also maintain some sort of order and I can appreciate that its a great place for bowling for families with or without kids. I havent visited the skating area in some time now but it is up and running and the kids love it
I dont usually pay attention to reviews of others because it can be a different experience but this place has allowed me to see that some of the reviews were true. We came as a family bowling get together, upon arriving, I wasnt to disturbed by the security, that is to be expected giving the area. When time to pay, the young lady was not pleasant, never greeted us, and acted as if she didnt want to be there. I brushed that off, we go to the bowling lanes, music was cool...the atmosphere screamed hood. I decided to order food. Me and my daughter ordered, the wait was extremely long to order and once ordering it took so long for the food I ended up asking for a refund. Employees was standing around looking confused, it was disorganized. Staff could of had better and cleaner uniforms Did not seem to be enough staff for the amount of people in the place. So Im sorry this was not a good experience and do not see myself returning. This was just one big hole in the wall.
Nice to go to the neighborhood and feel safe have fun with no drama. The feeling of love at this place is great. They donated bikes to kids and help families that a struggling. A fun center thats supports it neighborhood. That supposed to be Rec Centers. I dont understand why in a historic area as this. And it is trying to regain its reputation as a successful area for people. You should go to the fun center because from security to the bartender you know this place was built by love for one another. No shooting and bowling, pool, drinks plus food was positive.
I organized my family’s annual ugly Christmas sweater bowling night here. I booked for a party of 17 online and had zero issues. Check In was easy and show rental was effortless. Very good customer service at the shoe counter. The bar was a bit slow but they had a guy in training. We will definitely return
Fun place but the location make me skeptical & nervous ... kind of pricey!2020 UPDATE!!! This place is a hot mess! I had a birthday party here... they overcharged me. When they realized it they let me know and I was told I would get a refund. The manager gave someone else my refund in cash because they said “they knew me”! & call me a liar when I said I didn’t get it. Accused me of trying to scam her all because she didn’t follow proper procedures!! We didn’t have fun at all! The food took 4hrs and no cups or plates.
Me and my family went for the 4th of July because the kids wanted something to do. They want everybody to wear a mask to enter because they are still social distancing which is good. The problem I had was the bathroom was very nasty no one was cleaning them or checking to see if they need to be clean. There should be soap for people to wash there hands too. They really need to keep the bathrooms clean Men and Women it is a must!!!!!!!!
This rating would be a zero or negative if I could! The service was extremely horrible. None of the workers knew what events were going on! They told me and my family one thing and my sister said they want what we got and they told them something different! Food was horrible... the burger my son had was crunchy and smelled weird. Our nacho cheese was cold tea is horrible games are 3.75 each tickets werent rewarded pedal go karts were like bikes everything was stupidly horrible not worth the money and the customer service is bad. The workers roll their eyes at you catch an attitude and have the stink face! My family will NEVER go back there and I would never recommend it. And expect to feel awkward at the door. The security will check everything including a sippy cup. They rummage through your bags worse than secret service! NEVER AGAIN STAY AWAY!
I was here visiting from out of town and this bowling alley was horrible from the time I got in there til the time I left. The machines kept cutting off during the game they had to move me 3 times because of issues with the lanes and the last line was a issue also I left with 30 minutes left on a 1 hour clock 😥 but after talking to a manager he gave me a card for a free game but unfortunately I dont live in GA.
When we pulled in to the parking lot really no one was there we go inside and it is dirty old and rusty we paid and went to the play room. When we were walking down to the place everything was old and most of the attractions were closed down. We made it to the play room the bouncy houses were torn and dirty and the lights were off. We played. The games were outdated. The basketballs were torn up and they looked like they just went through a series of events. The kids were ripped off by there tickets because the ticket machine froze up workers had a bad attitude if your a business owner never hire a teen. Never ever go there youll get ripped off they also had security surrounding the building because of the high violence rate there they had to check your bag and pat you down. If they have to do all that just to have fun you know its not good. The pictures on Groupon looked good when we got there it looked totally different it was false advertisement. Never go there.
Was here for a family fun nite of skating. My 10 year old son broke his wrist & management was not helping the situations. Other guest were more attentive to my son needs than the staff. A man with dreads came over one time & informed me he called 911 & would do incident report. 37 minutes went by & no ambulance arrived nor was a incident report completed. Drove him by car, spent 6 hours in the ER & you would think sumbody cared.
Its an okay place if you cant find anything else to do. The pricing for everything, including vending machines, is a bit ridiculous. Customer service is terrible. We stood at the front waiting to pay to get in for 7 minutes while the cashiers talked, and we were the only ones in line. We went to the food counter to see get the kids some water instead of paying $2 at the vending machine. At first, they completely ignored us, standing there staring at us and talking, but no one was coming over to help. Finally one girl did, and she said they didnt have water. The attendant in the bowling alley was rude and acted like everyone was irritating her simply by asking her to do her job. It had this incredibly awful, disgustingly nauseating sewage smell permeating through the entire venue. Oh, and before we went in, we stopped to ask security questions about the place, as soon as we walked towards the door to get his attention, he took his gun out of his holster around the kids and held it like we were a threat to him or something for absolutely no reason. Dont know what that was about.
This place has something for everyone. Skating, inflatables, bowling, pool tables and a bar. The food is great and price reasonable. I gave it 4 stars because the women at the front passing tickets do NOT have proper information for the prices. They will sell you an individual ticket instead of a bundle ticket which is way better.
I was very pleased with the service I received there! The prices were very affordable, the associates were very nice and helpful and if you drink the drink prices were very very reasonable! In addition, the food (wings) were excellent and they came with a drink (enough for six people) along with all the cups you needed!
My Husband and i went with our two girls to tour the venue for a birthday party, and i have to say not only were we disappointed with the condition of the venue; we were highly disappointed with the service we got, there were three young ladies at the front desk /cashier they were annoyed that we were asking questions. I am not sure if they knew we could hear them from behind the glass window, but they spoke among each other loud enough so my husband and i heard If she asked me one more question,UGH I then mention to her that, we can heard what she said , she didnt even apologize .As we walked away my husband suggest we bowl there for a little to see how the service progress ( bad idea) WORST PLACE , the equipments were dirty and out dated, the shoes were terrible, a mean just bad all around. So then we visited another venue in douglasville GA ( I am not advertising for them so i wont mention their name .( Best decision) the party was amazing and it was just what we needed.
Our school group visited the center and had a WONDERFUL TIME!! Ms. Glenda and Ms. Twana were very kind, courteous, and accommodating. The students really enjoyed bowling and the food was served quickly, arrived hot, and was tasty. Thank you for everything!! We will definitelybe returning.
Me and my family came from Alabama just to go there the rides outside were closed but we still had fun some of the games were broken and wouldnt accept my card thingy and there was nonthing else to do there but play the games and ride in the bumper cars im glad they checked out temp before we came in way better than dave and busters dave and busters was packed the same night and it was so full and no one was temp checked and barley had mask on so thank you all for taking our temp and having sanitizer
Went there for bowling, food and drinks.Good music, ample pool tables and bowling lanes.Slow service, no adjoining smoke area for adulting while drinking, and food is a hit or miss as far as taste.Use the groupon discount for admission so you wont feel as disappointed after spending your hard earned money on mediocre entertainment.
Cant beat 5 dollar bowling with shoes included. But them lines inside whew chile. There was bout a 45 min wait to bowl. Understandable since Covid. We go get drinks the line is really long and there is only one person. After waiting in line for bout 30 min, go meet my friend at the food line. Only to be told that we could of placed our food order there. Which was not mentioned to us while in that line. The man at the kitchen line was very rude. Had an attitude all night. Finally get a text our label is ready. Go get our shoes while my friend waits in the food line. Set up our lane. Go back to food line place order finally. We bowl a few rounds. Go check on our food order. Mr rudeness back at it again. He charges the customers before us for ranch after they bought 100 wings smh. This nice young lady comes over to help him pass out food. She gets to us and hands us our food and ask us ranch or blue cheese. We say ranch and she goes to get them. Mr rudeness makes a comment to her and now they going back and forth. I think he wanted her to charge us for the ranch. We got our food and went back bowling. Everyone was nice except the man running the kitchen.
Horrible! My granddaughter was hoping to celebrate her birthday there this weekend but the stench of feces and b.o. throughout the building, which the management then tried to mask with bleach (so strong that it made me nauseous), resulted in the demand for a refund, which was promptly made - I guess in hopes that we didnt call the health department. Pay no mind to the photos and reviews-- they must have been made up by management. I was there about 3 years ago and the place was run down and poorly lit then -- no better now. No way Id recommend this place to anyone.
This is a staple in the community. Has been here for years! Black owned establishment. The crown is what you would expect for the area. The owner has ample security so safety is a priority. They have a lot to do especially for kids. After dark, it turns into an adult establishment. Id say go early.
I am giving this establishment 1 star because I never got a chance to even step into it to give it a proper rating because I was stopped as soon as I stepped onto the sidewalk. I visited last summer from out of town. I wore a sleeveless shirt as some may call a tank top. This wasnt your normal tank top. This was a dressed down tank top. Anywho, I was turned away at the door by a security guard. Not even a formal greeting or anything just a you cant come in here with that sleeveless shirt. Mind you it is hotter than a pair of shoes melting under a desert sun in Atlanta. I have been to establishments similar to this before and a sleeveless shirt is literally the last thing on their mind. Someone please tell me what does having a sleeveless shirt have to do with running a business, especially someone from out of town.
Always a good time when we go. Wanted to do a little bowling on a Friday night, and MFC has the best rates in Atlanta. There are plenty of other things to do here as well (skating, billiards, inflatables, etc) and everything is reasonably priced. I was a little disappointed in the bar, but the kitchen pretty much made up for that so its a wash. Everyone gets patted down and searched on the way in so dont even bother trying to come up there on any funny mess. It really is a cool little spot for the entire family.
Been to all 3 fun areas at dif times. hosted 2 parties for kids. Skate party was fun and organized(10 kids for 100 bucks). A few months later organized jump house party....organized, there was enough pizza for kids, and they were able to jump entire duration of open hours. Lastly, attending bowling as adult outing. Had a blast. 1 hours bowl, 12 hours a person, drinks kinda high but food is reasonable and very good.
There is plenty of space with plenty of activities for the entire family. The staff didnt have the WORST customer service, but they could use some communication training. For example, being aware of which staff member is running which activity and when so that customers do not have to wait 30 to 45 minutes to get assistance.
I wouldnt give them any stars if I could. The staff if the text book definition of GHETTO. Went there to shoot pool and bowl, security searched us like we were at the club, then they charged us just to get in, ( ok that was fine) till we were given the run around just to order some wings, 15 min of the cashier walking past us. So we decided to just go to the bar downstairs that serves food. 10 min sitting at an empty bar and no staff in sight except the security guard sitting at the door playing on his phone. So a customer was up and ask if weve been help. After she goes and find the bar tender outside (smoking weed from the smell of it) She comes in with an attitude, argues with my man about what type of drinks he wants, continually over explains what ingredient comes on my food, then goes and tells security she doesnt want to serve us. So an hour in and we just paid to be aggravated and hungry. So now we just want to eat something and leave so once again we go upstairs to order with the slow cashier. We finally get out orders in and greatly the food comes out, but Oh no it comes with the lazy ghetto and high bar tender from downstairs who didnt want to serve us but has so nicely come up to continue a debate on my order that she obviously couldnt comprehend downstairs at her own post. (Please just go tend to some poor customer you left sitting at your bar for heavens sake) In other words dont waste your time here if youre trying to have an enjoyable evening
Ok for someone that lives in the area. Food was good and so was the music. Place under staffed. Bathrooms nasty. Management rude and ghetto. I purchased $75 worth of food and they didn’t have any pitchers for our drinks or plates when picking up our food but Lady that did our food service awesome, and she made it work for us ! each section is Separated. Didn’t like that I had to keep coming to the front And stand in line again if I had to purchase skate or laser tag Or anything else the kids wanted to do. there should be a section each section where you can purchase them . Considering as far as I drove to check out this facility. I won’t be coming back again .
We had fun here. We skated, went bowling, just a good time. The food was mediocre for the prices, but hey, what are you gonna do. You got this kid here that wants to do and eat everything she sees. So you get it, were at a fun center trying to have fun. So,all in all we left happy and a little lighter pockets.
Paid for a party for my 6y/o daughter! I was supposed to have a dedicated party host but felt more like I was the party host! I did alot of running around that place. Long lines to get in & only one person working the front! My guests had to wait on those long lines which took away from their bowling time! Lane 12 in the kiddie area froze 3x had to have it reset and I also asked for additional time and the request was granted. Kitchen was backed up, our eat time was pushed back which left my guests hungry & the children restless and so very thirsty! Since the food was late there were also no drinks smh & since you cant bring food or drink in I was totally just embarrassed! I had to speak with a manager who did get us some drinks while waiting on the food! Decent areas for children to enjoy & play! The children really really enjoyed! At the end of the day, thats all that mattered! I dont think I would choose this place again to come bowl or have my child play & definitely know I wont be having another party! My experience really saddens me because there is nothing on the southside of town for children to enjoy! Just needs some more attention to certain details!
We did the bowling and shot pool. The food is basic at best as far as taste, nothing special but the drinks were strong which surprised me.The bad is if u bring kids,at 9pm,u have to take them to the kids play area and stay with them of course which means you pay for them to go there and also pay for yourself no matter what else u paid for before.
Seriously I could do without all the waiting. I’ve been here over an hour and I had to wait 53 minutes just to get on the waiting list. Only to go to the bar to still be waiting... I’m 17 minutes into waiting on a drink. I’ve spent $27 already and haven’t done anything AT ALL and I don’t know when I will be able to because of the lines. The lines aren’t that long by the way. Everything is done slooooooooooow. Has a lot of potential with the new renovations but I can’t bare another experience as this.Update: Just got my drink 11 minutes later and a rude manager.
Ive only been active in the bowling and playland areas since its been remodeled and under new management but overall I was pretty much impressed. I remember the old run and shoot very well as well as the original metro lanes. This is geared towards the entire family. The owner gave us a tour entire establishment and there is much more potential than what meets the eye. One bonus is the laser tag, something we dont really have south of I-20 inside of I-285. I really dont know of anywhere else with it. It was my first time playing laser tag and I loved it! Its a nice establishment. With the staff its kind of 75% great and the other 25% is just iffy. Most of them are young. A little more training is all they probably need. All the security staff was nice and their presence is a bonus. At the end of the day, this is a black business that I have no issue supporting. The food was good too. Ive been twice lately. Once for a kids birthday party and then I came back with my son and niece. Now I have to come back for one of their more adult, mature events. Looking forward to it.
It was horrible and the people act as if they did not want to work,we had problems with the lane and tried to talk with one of the workers he had an attitude really.we will never go back there again.they need to mop the floors they were very sticky clean the floors, when the place is close for business.they don’t even deserve a one ,but that’s the only way you could post.
Had Fun Dj was lit! Pool was Lit! Bowling was Lit! Hookah lounge was real chill. Only thing is that I waited 2hrs for my food literally! They closed at 3 I received my food at 2:44 after ordering it at 12:45 That’s crazy !!!! They gave me extra food but damn !! If I didn’t work up an appetite I would’ve told them to keep it! But the food was actually decent!! Ill be back
The worst place ever to have a birthday party! The customer service is very unprofessional. I constantly had to look for my party host. It was trash all over the floor. The kitchen staff is RUDE. They also false advertised the Skate with Santa. There was no Santa in sight. I really wished I would have went and checked this place out before booking. I HAVE WARNED YOU!
The food here is really good, amd the skate rink is mad fun. I was here for a school event, and Im not a fan of being patted down for a skate night. The floors between the skate rink and bowling alley are really sticky, and the bowling alley itself is awful. The balls get stuck in the back all the time, we ended up losing around 10 mins of bowling time because of this. They do have great drink specials though, so the good balances out the bad.
Hubby and I took our sons 🎳 for the very 1st time for their birthday....they were Great at bowling. The service at the Metro Fun Center was very kind and friendly, and the restrooms and the inside of the venue was clean. The drive time to this location was 1hr abt 15 minutes for us but it was worth it for our sons birthdays, plus we were given 2 free games. Thank you Metro Fun Center!!!
This is a place where the whole family can enjoy themselves. Rates are reasonable compared to most. My birthday girl enjoyed herself from beginning to end. Also for adults the alcoholic drinks were on point. Only thing we didnt enjoy was the young lady who was running the laser tag was not coordinating the entry in a timely manner & she allowed people to jump in front of us twice. No biggie we still enjoyed ourselves. Thank you.
I’m giving it five stars for what it is. A relaxed place to go bowling, play games, and eat. This is a great inexpensive place to hang with family or friends. For those of you in the adults club, they have a mini bar on the back side that has some good cheap drinks. You’re welcome.
First let me say this place is Ghetto Fabulous! It smelled like mildew immediately after entering the skating rink. We went for a skating fundraiser and honestly the children had fun skating. The music was all trap music though, no mixture at all. The staff at the skate rental and concession were nice and helpful. It took forever for our food to come out. We ordered 1 pizza and 1 basket of fries. Oh and dont let me forget the 👊 FIGHT. Abulance, fire trucks and police were on the scene. It was a Dustys paradise. Kudos to your staff but it just wasnt my scene and I wont be back.
The people that work here are so unprofessional. I asked for two hours on my lane and after an hour they assigned bowling lane to another person. I hadn’t even really got the chance to bowl because I was back and forth checking on food to see if it was ready and the food took forever. By the time I got the food and was getting ready to sit down. My lane was assigned to someone else. My God son was with me & he was very disappointed because our night was ruined. I’m only giving two stars because the food was good & even tho the lady at the counter didn’t wanna refund me for the lane she gave me two free bowling passes which I gave away to someone there because why would I wanna come back after that experience 🤷🏾♀️ but I asked for a manager & he happened to work in the kitchen & he gave me my money back out of his pocket.
Took the kids here today...its has a spacious play room with different bounce houses. The basketball court floors in the playroom should be replaced with something with a little more grit,i witnessed about 4 kids slip and fall it is very slippery. You have to pay for whatever activities you want to participate in at the desk upfront which is sort of inconvenient they have no kiosk to purchase game cards so youd have to wait in line to reload game card ( that can be tricky when dealing with anxious kids). One of the employees looked at us when we entered and put her head back down into her phone. The pat down in front was kind of awkward too but it didnt bother me much, wifey didnt like it so much tho.I give it 3 stars because i think it has potential to be a lot better. I will continue to support hopefully some things improve . God bless
It was pretty bad experience. I went there in a group 25-20 people. We all had different bowling lanes. Everyones lane was keep getting stuck, the ball wouldnt come out, the pins doesnt get reset. It was really frustrating. We had to go tothe front desk everytime to complain about the lane being stuck. They took a long time to come and fix it with the attitude. The only I liked about it tho was their prices for everything. Their skating and wings.
Went yesterday for the first time and Ill never go again the staff was rude there was no social distancing rules the restroom were wet and nasty and the snack bar people that have order and was waiting on their food and when they food was ready they were ae to get their food and place another order skipping people that had been in line for 20 mins its just very unprofessional in the skating area
Not the place to plan a party if there’s an emergency. I tried communicating the issue plus offered to bring in the papers from the hospital. I called back once we were done to give an update cuz I wasn’t even trying to get a refund. I jus wanted to reschedule. I spoke wit Dorothy the whole day over the phone and I wasn’t told about no refunds on the party room until I called to try to reschedule. Once I tried to speak wit her after leavin the hospital, I was told that she stepped out. I asked for the manager and I was told he was away from the desk. Nobody ever returned my calls. The lil boy who took my call made it clear he wasn’t trying to help me and didn’t make an effort to try fix the situation. Very unprofessional and childish behavior.
Love love love this place. I am new to the Atlanta area and me and my family habe made this our regular Tuesday hangnight. The staff are very friendly, when i come in, the bartender already knows what I want. The music is lit. $2 dollar Tuesday is off the chain. Metro Fun Center does great specials for kids and gives back to the community with special events. No complaints.
This is an awesome business model but implementation is in need of quite a bit of upgrading. The facility as a whole is dirty. The bathrooms and carpets are filthy. One of the womens bathrooms had overflowed, with no one working on repairing it. Most of the employees are indifferent and unprofessional. (Except for a girl named Ocean. Shes great!) This is a place with the word fun in its name and the employees act like its the last place they want to be. Fix the stuff thats broken, get the employees some customer service training, STEAM CLEAN AND DEODORIZE the place and you will get 5 stars from me.
The experience was not the best. When we arrived the place was closed even though it was advertised as open. Also we had a flyer for a special that included food. Was initially told the kitchen was closed. They opened and allowed our group in once we had 15 ppl. After getting in we asked to bring in pizza for the group (we have done this on a previous visit). We were told this wasnt allowed and that we could buy pizza from the establishment. But isnt the kitchen closed? No she can cook pizza. How much is the pizza $18 each. Ok finally get to the bowling. Lanes kept breaking down and we had to constantly be in search of an associate. Also there is a funky/sour smell throughout the place.
The only thing that really saves this place is the food and the friendliness of the staff. Otherwise the owners need to do major upgrades. Me and my high school classmates and other alums frequent this establishment out of the sheer fact that its convenient to most of us and for the fellowship. The lanes are ALWAYS malfunctioning in the midst of our games causing us to have to seek help. That th throws off your momentum especially if youre winning. They also need to invest in some new balls. Most all of their balls are chipped, cracked or worse and are difficult to bowl with.
Me family and friends decided to do an 80s skate night here for me and my cousin birthday. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! DJ sucked and the girl serving drinks needs to find another side gig(because she obviously hate her job). The security guard came to us 30 minutes before closing and told us we had to leave, we asked why and he stated because they were closed. But your website and sign says 2am close time for Saturdays??? He informed one of my cousins that if she did not take the skates off she would be banned from the facility. Another one of my cousins were put in hand cuffs by a female cop because he wasnt moving fast enough out the building. Which was not due to be closed till 2am! She called for back up for what I have no idea, and 5 cop cars pull up as if we had shot or stabbed some one. Which is strange that it took 5 cops cars for one black male that was not irate in any way, when they could have been fighting REAL crime somewhere needed. Thats what our tax dollars are paying for right? SAVAGESIm never going to this establishment again, and after reading these reviews before posting mine I see that I am not the only dissatisfied customer.

2022-05-18This place was cool. Took my kids on a Wednesday afternoon. There were only 2 or 3 other families present. It almost felt like a private event. We purchased one of the deals online, all in we spent about $150 on bowling, bounce house, pizza, wings, and drinks for a family of 5 (3 kids). We did not play at the arcade but they had quite a few games, my kids would have been entertained for hours.I would come back. The music was dope. The food was straight. Seems like a good place for an adult event as well, maybe even more so than the kids.

2021-12-15Was charged for 3 masks even though no one else including employees wore masks. When I approached the manager about it, he laughed shook his head and told me to see the other manager on duty. The employees act as if they don’t want to work or assist you. The wings were subpar and bland. Fries plain with no salt or taste. Food prices are incredibly high for the area and actual taste. Just my honest opinion.

2021-11-27Today I had the chance to bowl where my father bowled league over 50 years ago. I had heard it was reopened but did not expect to much. The staff were friendly and the Lanes are in good condition, especially for an activity center. The Lanes were well oiled and maintained. Just wish my bowling hand was healed better. I did use a different benchmark ball each game to see what I could do in the house.Go and enjoy!

2022-02-01I went with a friend and really enjoyed myself. The atmosphere was awesome and they played the latest music which added to the experience. The vibe was friendly and the drinks were great. This establishment being black owned is what got me through the door as I support BOB. I definitely will return and when family from my hometown come to visit they will definitely be taken here. Please support Black Owned Businesses and Black Owned Businesses please give great customer service to keep the patronage.

2022-02-07This place has really changed, its really nice. In the past it wasnt as expensive and now the prices has really gone up. It has something for everyone in the family. They require mask to enter but there is nothing once you get inside as for as Corvid precautions. No 6 feet, no wiping and no limits on the amount of people that they allow inside. They do have armed security and medal detection and are really strict about what you can bring in. They charge for everything. Over all its a really nice family environment.

2022-04-16Been visiting Atlanta for the past 20 years. I have visited most of the major places there. But this place is magical. Me and my group was catered to from the moment we walked in. The choices in this place is unlimited. Bowling,Scating,Virtual gaming,Fitness center unlimited entertainment for child and parents. I did some research and discovered this is a black owned business. To the owner Greg Alexander I salute you sir. Its brothers like you that are showing our youth through example.Seeing is believing. Your walk shows them they can do it. You are inspiring people you dont know. It touched my nieces and nephews when they discovered Metro fun center is black owned. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to have a great time.

2022-06-26Went to skating part with kids. I order food at the main kitchen and bought a picture of drink. When I pick up the food the person told me they didn’t have drink and would I like water. I would took water but not paying for it but the manager on duty rectified the situation and alternate with other options. I don’t know if she was the kitchen supervisor but I like how she find a solution instead of how some places don’t care. Great job

2022-06-01Okay, the lady who serviced us during my grandsons birthday party was very helpful and friendly. The security guard was also very friendly. However, the exterior, esthetics, and level of security of the place leaves a lot to be desired. I think they have more security than Hartsfield Jackson Airport. This made me wonder if the place was safe. Additionally, it was packed. Also, there was no water that I could buy and drink as all the machines were out of bottled water and I was told there was no water available at the concession. They also dont sell sugar-free/diet soda. Its a huge facility with a lot for children to do. I definitely wont be going back unless Im invited for a grandchilds party.
