Busy restaurant but poor quality and tasteless food. There was an extended wait but there was not corresponding freshness. Our fries were cold and they were out of sweet tea. Most of the tables were dirty and the trash inside was overflowing. The dining area and service needs a bit of TLC.
Bite sized shrimp plate with baked beans and french fries! This place was delicious and relatively low in price for the amount of food you get! Customer service was great and quick and they seemed to enjoy being at work which is an awesome environment to eat in 😁 Next time we are in town, we will return!
Friendly service with good food. I usually go for the fried shrimp but i recently tried the burger and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. the burgers are huge and handmade. I loved it
We walked in and ordered at the register and then we sat down and waited for our food. It didnt seem to take long at all and the wait staff was really helpful. I took a four year old in with me and they had a kids menu there so that was perfect. She enjoyed it. All American food but be advised that they serve seafood at this location so the place definitely smells like it. I dont know, for some people that isnt really their thing so I thought I would mention it. Face masks are always recommended and dont forget to social distance. Its good to still be precautious. The food is so delicious. I ordered bacon chz burger combo. It was immaculate. Really good and cooked to perfection. Ibalso ordered a chef salad that was amazing as well. Their cook did his thing on the burger.

The food was excellent. The one star comes because as we(my wife and I)were leaving, I lost my balance and fell to the floor. I had spinal surgery in June of 2020 and have problems with balance and standing. I fell to the floor onto my back. Fortunately my wife was there because not one employee paid a bit of attention to my situation. No help was offered by any employee. I am not a small person. I know I was seen by at least one of the employees.Most of the employees were all behind the counter talking and joking. Somebody needs to train their employees to be more aware of their surroundings. If I eat there again it will definitely be take out but I doubt that will happen.
The grilled chicken pita was delicious! he made it to perfection & all the girls there were so sweet!!
Highly recommend their corn nuggets with some chipotle ranch for dipping. Delicious sandwiches. Their fried food is a bit salty, but where isnt these days. Definitely worth it.
I lived in Brunswick about 15 years ago and came to Mechael’s deli almost every day for lunch. I was in the area and decided to stop to see if it was still there. I was delighted to see that not only was it still there, but it was EXACTLY how I remembered it!!! Thank you Michael’s for the lunch and for the flood of memories!!!!

I love to go to this place, when I want a Salad are a great chicken Salad sandwich. The fried mushrooms are delicious. And dont even get me started on the cakes they offer for dessert. The Baker need her own Cake business..

This place has a wide variety of sandwiches Cubans, Pork Roast, etc.; and served fried shrimp. Prices are moderate not exorbitant. I enjoyed my shrimp and also the fried okra. you order at the counter, get your drinks at the fountain, and then they bring the food to your table.
Food is great, service needs work. I order here frequently & on SEVERAL occasions I asked in advanced (phone order) if they had strawberry cheesecake and they say yes and I get there & pay only to be informed they dont have any & I never understand why they dont have that ready & bagged beforehand or at least check to be sure its there.
Excellent food, good price, friendly atmosphere. This place has been a very popular lunch spot in the Golden Isles for 40 years. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed till recently. Highly recommend!!!

The food and service is awesome. I really love the fried mushrooms. I do find them a bit salty so I really wish the cooks would reduce the salt. Salt can always be added. Ive never had a bad meal here. Always awesome!!
Standard american fare with some fish options. The stopped their fish tacos 🌮 and said they dont know if they will be coming back. I had a burger and it was fine. Fries seemed to be the frozen pre-made type.
Nice little local spot. Good food and price. I had a great shrimp poboy and hubby had the spicy shrimp wrap. Kids had cheeseburgers that were very generous size for the price.
Delicious and even when really busy right at lunch they have always gotten my order not only out in a timely manner but with quality and quanity of meal. Recommend to any and every one. Great prices also!!!

We loved the deli! Our son wanted pizza and they had a pizza hoagie on the menu.. My wife and I both had fried seafood dishes and they were big portioned and delicious. The staff was very nice and the dining area was not loud as some places are. The food came out really fast for us. We saw others com in after us and they were served fast too. Several ordered to go. For the pile of fish and shrimp I got, price was very reasonable. We also had a side of yummy corn nuggets.
The food is great!! I have been here several times on business lunches. The fried jumbo shrimp are my favorite!! However, some of the staff the jury is still out on the equality of their service to all customers. Will that stop me from going to get their DELICIOUS food??? Not quite yet. Maybe the service will improve.

This place has been around a long time and has not deviated from what has kept them in business. The menu and service has been the key.They have a wide range of choices from cold or hot subs, salads and seafood. My personal favorite it the cheesesteak, it is always on point. The only reason for 4 stars is the restaurant itself. The and and wear is beginning to make it look dirty although they do keep it clean. Its definitely worth a visit.
They called other numbers before mine. They one of my sides was missing barely gave us any mustard for our fries. Food came out hot. But the wait to get our food took way too long. Probably not gonna go back or will call ahead with our order.

Nice people. Old school fried food, sandwiches, and salads. Salads use iceberg lettuce but plenty of meat (grilled chicken, chefs salad are my favorite). Good prices. Nice change of pace.
Bang for the buck, the food here is awesome. OK, so the restaurant decor is a tiny bit tacky and dated, but who cares- thats kind of fun anyway.This is in humble my opinion the best place in Glynn County to get shrimp without spending an arm and a leg. (Sorry, Iguanas Seafood- youre good, but I prefer Michaels Deli.)Does Michaels serve local Wild Georgia Shrimp? Dont know. Dont care. Maybe not. Probably not. But is it terrifically tasty with nice portion sizes? You betcha! And they also make a mean Philly, if you enjoy greasy goodness like I do.

We have been eating there for many years and the quality and value has always remained high. I love the Flounder dinner and the Shrimp is outstanding, as well as the salads.The service is great with friendly staff.
I only gave it a 1 because they won’t allow you to do a 0. The staff is so RUDE especially the girls at the cash register. If you ask any questions you receive an eye roll or huff and puff. We used to enjoy this restaurant as the food is okay but the staff and their attitude make it where we don’t want to return. If an owner or manager is reading this you should really RECONSIDER the girls at the cash register as they are the face of your restaurant. The staff that is rude is (African American girl with long braids, neck tattoo, lip and nose ring, and Caucasian female long blonde hair, glasses, nose ring and several piercings in her ear) would give names but they don’t have name tags.
Ordered the burger not knowing how B I G it was. The meat didn’t have much flavor.

We are staying in Brunswick for the 4th of July weekend to do some sight seeing. Came across Michaels on the internet and it had some good reviews. Boyfriend got a burger and I got the grilled shrimp with baby cakes (kinda like tator tots but much much better). The food was fabulous. You cant go wrong eating here. Very casual dining, service was great.

A gem known mostly to locals. Family owned, great menu of seafood, burgers, wraps, soups. Nice coastal atmosphere, great staff, inexpensive, open till 9 pm.
The bread on the sandwich was burnt and the fried muchrooms were not in the bag. The girl checked the order when we picked up the order and it was wrong. Had to go all the way back for a sandwich remake and to get the fried muchrooms.

A deli isnt a deli unless they have a good rueben and Michaels has a pretty good rueben. I got mine to go and by the time I got back to work the bottom piece of bread was soggy but I wont hold that against them.

2021-10-26Flounder, okra, coleslaw, mushrooms, & chicken salad sandwich. Pic of our lunch yesterday. The fried food wasn’t greasy & no taste of the oil. Not fried too hard. Was exactly right amount of cooking time. Not too salty. Hubbykins usually gets a pound of fried shrimp. He really enjoyed the flounder. The chicken salad is perfectly done every single time. It’s my favorite. Fair prices. Be prepared to wait when it’s busy. We noticed a “help wanted” sign. The quality is still A+ though.

2022-04-03Worse than McDonalds with messing up 3/4 of our orders, after waiting 40 minutes before we even got it. And other people who ordered after us got their food before us. I took mine back and said very simply I just wanted a burger and bacon nothing else. After another 20 minute wait it still was wrong! Even with our receipt printed out exactly how we wanted our food 3 of the meals were wrong. And not even a fake apology for messing up. Will not go back or recommend to anyone.

2018-07-30Has the local establishment atmosphere and apparently alot of repeat business. My club sandwich and fries were tasty, I would try something else next time just to see if all their food is as good. No complaints about the service, very friendly and accommodating. Prices were reasonable too. Plenty of cold ac on a very hot day!

2022-03-29Sorry to have to give a low review but c’mon—we’re staying at a hotel in Brunswick. Used Island delivery service and ordered 2 Michael’s deluxe burgers plus a tossed salad. NO NAPKINS, NO FLATWARE to eat the salad, NO SALAD DRESSING! Anddddd… order went in before 6:00 PM and it didn’t show up for almost 90 minutes. Cold burgers. Overcooked (didn’t see option on website for “rare, medium rare, well done”. Had to use hotel towels and beg the hotel front desk for plastic forks to eat a dry boring salad with hardly even green ice burg lettuce. What a disappointment!! How hard can it be to include the basics?! Would’ve given ONE star except that the burgers are huge and although dry and over cooked, the sauce on them is delicious.

2021-11-15I recently placed an order for my favorite meal, fried shrimp salad. This particular time, the order wasnt like it is normally served. Because Michaels food and service is always stellar in my opinion, I just wanted to make them aware of the difference. I did not plan to ask for a remake. The manager offered another meal, she was gracious, sincere and apologetic. Thank you Michaels Deli for making your customers feel valued.
