Good neighborhood bar. The drinks are fairly standard. I would not order a cocktail like an old-fashioned here, but a simple greyhound would be okay. The food is really nothing to write home about. I would personally avoid eating here. The atmosphere and bar in general are okay. Sometimes the service can be a bit slow, even if youre a regular. It also has a dog-friendly patio.
Love Milltown! They recently got a new chef and have a new menu (Sidecar) with some great new mains including pulled pork nachos, Cuban, Salmon quinoa bowl. So a mix of healthy / not so healthy eats. The ambience is lovely - outdoors with space heaters and wood fires.
I saw a couple reviews saying that the smoking rules had changed but they were wrong. I was here on a Saturday from midnight until 2:00 and most people were smoking inside. This is why they got 4 instead of 5 stars. Other than the smoke, the bartender was attentive and quick and they had a good selection of beers. The smoke may keep me away, but other than that its a great neighborhood bar.
Im a Ravens fan living nearby and woke up late for a game so decided to just Google a local place. This is a Saints bar with a passionate but very friendly and positive crowd. Bartender even found a big TV to put my game on as well (albeit without sound but I totally get that). Chicken BLT was huge and excellent and the spicy bloody Mary was also good. Reasonably priced and OMG theres a parking lot 🙏 Great spot, will def return.
Stopped in for a bite to eat before going to a show at Dads Garage. Even though it took a little while for our food to come out, the waitress made sure to keep us updated and to keep our drinks full - she was fantastic! And the food was definitely worth the wait. Ordered the Blue-Eyed Devil with an Impossible Patty and oh my goodness, it was an amazing balance of some pretty bold flavors. The tots that came on the side were light and crispy. In addition to great food and friendly staff, the prices are stunningly reasonable. Looking forward to the next visit!
One of the best sports bars in Atlanta in one of my favorite neighborhoods. Bartenders/wait staff are friendly, attentive and very hard working. The food is nothing special but is good for bar food and they always have an excellent draft beer list. This is one of those hip, local places, but there are no (or at least fewer) snobs like some of the other places in town, and to be honest every one is usually too drunk and happy to judge. They have free comedy on the last Friday of the month which is always fun!
Wednesday, May 8th (around 10pm), a few guests and I came to watch a sports game and a waitress was very pushy about my party (of 4) ordering some food although we stated numerous times that we did not come for food. We payed for our drinks and left and she decided to yell at us for a tip. Only 3 waters and a beer were bought. As someone from who had guests from out of town, this was embarrassing on our party. Needless to say, we do not feel welcomed at the bar and will not be visiting again.
The RUDEST server ever. It was super busy and weve never been there before, so we didnt know we had a server since we were waiting at our table for 10 minutes without anyone coming over. So my friend and I went to the bar to get beers for everyone and when we came back the server was finally there. She made very rude comments to us because we ordered from the bar and continued snide comments to us over the next 10 minutes. We finally left without ordering anything else because of her harassment. If she had calmly explained anything to us we would have stayed. The worst. Go somewhere less pretentious with better customer service. So many better places in the ATL.
One of our favorite spots in Cabbagetown, Milltown Arms has a great, approachable menu with pub favorites and a few unique dishes. It can get very crowded at night, but the vibe is very open and friendly, as you would expect from Cabbagetown. Its a great place for a drink and a bite before you head out to Edgewood or further down the street, and its one of our favorite places to go for New Years. Definitely worth a visit (and the foods worth a Zifty order)
On January 15, 2016, I visited the Milltown Tavern around 2:30pm to enjoy Fridays lunch special with my eight year old daughter. After entering the bar that had two to three other patrons, my daughter and I sat in a booth and waited to be served. We were greeted by a female server that upon taking our order advised that we would not be able to take advantage of the lunch special because the Milltown Tavern was a smoking establishment and the lunch special was for dine in customers only. She then suggested that we visit an eatery that was further down the street. I informed the waitress that it was no problem and that we would eat our meal in the outside dining area. The waitress went on to question my decision, insinuating that weather conditions were too inclement for dining outside. I told her that we would be fine, as we had just walked over from the Fulton Cotton Mill Lofts. After consenting, she went on to confirm our order, but informed us that the lunch special only came with fries or tator tots. I found this very ironic because on the day prior, the waitress offered me an array of side options with the lunch special. Nevertheless we ordered the tator tots and proceeded outside. The waitress followed soon after with our drink orders and went on to complement the weather that she once felt was inclement. While delivering our food, the waitress offered to refill my daughters dwindling beverage. When my daughter declined, the waitress went back inside and never returned. After finishing our meal, I went inside to retrieve the check as well as to get refills. After receiving the $19.71 check and refills, I went back outside to prepare to depart. The waitress followed and after reaching our table, I handed her a twenty dollar bill. She then asked, Is that it? and I confirmed, Yes. She went on to say, Next time you should order to go. I asked her to repeat herself to confirm what I heard and she did verbatim. This was the worst level of customer service I have ever experienced at the Milltown Tavern during my five year tenure at the Fulton Cotton Mill Lofts. I was even more disappointed because I had my best customer service experience in the Milltown Tavern just twenty four hours prior. In conclusion, it my wish that my waitress be reprimanded for the lackluster service she provided and for the brash and tactless manner in which she conducted herself in front of my daughter and I.
My server I think the the her name was Dawn she said hi and walked right passed me and yelled. She then got our drink orders 5 minutes alater. And waitied an aditadditi 10 minutes to come back to our table. She went to every table bit ours even walked towards our table then away twice completely avoiding us. After coming back 10 minimin later we ordered. My friend asked If they had a dessert menu she walked away from him then yelled as she was walking away. NOPE! WHAT THE HECK! Im in the industry and it wasnt busy at all. Very unfouncomfortab stop in.

2022-05-09So we stopped here on our way back from North Carolina and it was a super cute place to find! It had great food and a fun lively atmosphere. We sat with friends in the bar area where the bar opened up to the patio which made for great people watching and it was fun to see all the beautiful dishes they were serving. It was super busy so service isnt super fast but they were running as fast as they could and it was worth the wait! The only thing I would say that kept me from giving it a 5 star review is that the specialty cocktails were cute & pretty and nice in theory but rather bland & Tasteless. If I wasnt a great bartender I wouldnt be so particular maybe but when I spend $14 on a drink, I really lexpect to like it, however we liked this place a lot and would definitely go back if we were in the area. The food was as tasty as it was beautiful!~

2022-04-19My favorite spot. Quiet, friendly, and not overly crowded. The drinks are very fairly priced. The only thing that is not reasonably priced are the wings. The wings come with (6). And it is 16 dollars for the 6 wings. Other tha. That, perfect late night spot for drinks. Employees are the best.

2022-05-15Bartender was incredibly rude, understaffed, terrible pour, plastic cups, owners are wack. The only reason im giving 2 stars is because the food is genuinely very good and the community of people who go there are very warm and welcoming. They simply just need a total staff turn over.

2021-07-06This is a great quiet neighborhood pub. The beer selection is just right and they have a complete bar. They also have a nice spread of really nice pub food which I highly recommend as I found the food very satisfying. The service was friendly and fast and the seating outside is covered and plentiful. This is a great spot to come for a drink and snack while on a walk. Ill definitely be returning as this place is a nice casual spot for a drink with friends.

2021-02-20Best spot in Cabbagetown. New chef with amazing skills. The Cheese Grit Sticks are addictive and everything else on their menu has been just as good. A great place to sit outside by a fire or under a heated tent (and you can bring your dogs). Always been a great experience with friendly people. Highly recommend.
