Best Mexican restaurant around. Great food, great prices, friendly staff. Its the only Mexican restaurant we eat at.
Good Service, Great FoodThis is one of the better Mexican Restaurants in town, if not the best. I have been here several times and Ive never had a bad experience.The chips and salsa might just be the best Ive ever had at any Mexican Restaurant, and Ive been to a ton! I cannot attest to the entire menu but the enchiladas and chimichangas are great. The menu is extensive so if you dont like either one of those there is plenty more to chose from.The staff is always friendly and the restaurant is well kept. And they have a live mariachi band whats a week.Anybody who likes Mexican food should check this place out!
This place was actually awesome I was impressed because for one thing alot of Mexican places around here put peas in their rice they do not score for authenticity the salsa was really good the service was great he did make a mistake on the check but was happy to fix it which was great the margarita thing I had was absolutely amazing though not very strong for the price it could have been stronger but still over all this was an experience I cant say enough about I was supremely pleased

Carrollton, GAOriginally we were just passing through and almost missed this little place. So glad we turned around to check it out. The food was great and the service was top notch. Our waiter was very attentive and the feel of the local community was inviting.

I have told this place twice that I am allergic to shrimp, and both times there has been a piece of shrimp in the my chicken burrito. If you have seafood allergies, beware! To top it, the chicken wasn’t done.
The service was TERRIBLE. Our waitress got an attitude after we asked about a charge of two drinks on our receipt. I tasted my margarita and it was so horrible, I could barely drink it. Then, I asked my boyfriend to try and he confirmed it tasted bad as well. We kindly asked our waitress if the drink could be remade and the second drink tasted better. I dont know why we were charged for the first drink because I only had a taste. After talking with the manager, our waistress attitude only got worse. The waitress and bartender that night needed to be checked because my drink and her attitude was just plain nasty. Terrible experience. I wont be coming back.

Ordered online and had it delivered. Items were incorrect. That’s one thing but the food itself was just disgusting. Beans tasted like they were out of a can for days. The “enchiladas” was just tortillas with chicken in them. The “sauce” was super thin and literally tasted like vomit. I’m surprised this place has so many stars. Wouldn’t even feed it to my dog it was so bad. Guess they don’t do quality control.
My drink was cold, along with everything else. Server argued with me. We wont be back.

Its not the fanciest mexican restaurant but they have the best staff, margaritas and sangrias and most comfortable enviroment of any restaurant we have ever been to. The chips are right on and the sauce and cheese dip are perfect. If we could give it 10 stars we would!Our weekly go to for date night :)
The food is good. We eat here about once a month but the last few times the ladies room has been out of soap. The servers use this restroom too, so you put those two together and I think we are done with this place.
I was really disappointed in my first experience there. To start the service was awful and the people were just ready to get us out. The margarita tasted awful and seemed like a hodgepodge of random drinks. The peppers on my quesadilla were burnt and the cheese dip had little flavor. I definitely won’t be going back!
We have been eating at this restaurant for a long time. A few different owners, though the food maybe starts off slow with new owners it always get back to the good meals and friendly workers.

Absolutely love Monterrey. Food is always good and plentiful that we can only eat half and eat the other half the next day. Texas Fajitas are the BOMB here
This Monterrey Mexican restaurant is the best... The service is awesome, the food is out of this world. Its not burnt, cold, lettuce wilted. This place the food was hot, presented well on the plate, your drink never gets empty. The chips are fresh and warm. The salsa is to die for... The good is flavorful. You know what your eating... The tamales, burritos , toastaguac are good. There new menus, decorated tables. This is one Mexican restaurant I will return too.... Its on South Park St near Tanner Medical centre. You wont be disappointed.

Good food, great friendly staff, good time... Even the patrons here are great. Very mixed crowd. Everyone talks to you and makes you feel at home. The rest of the US should take lessons from this place.. Hispanic, Black, and White... Everyone having a great time TOGETHER.. 😀 It was great to visit here twice. If Im ever back here this will be my place... I normally dont give 5 stars to anyplace, no matter how good the food.. one of the best places Ive been in years.. I travel, and eat in 48 states.. this place is the best...RJ
We eat here atleast once per week. We always love it. I lost my wallet there and the next time I came in they had it for me. Everything untouched 😁
The food is great but the portion sizes should be increased, especially since the prices have been. Another thing, when my husband and I go to eat here they always, without fail, give me significantly smaller portions than they do him. Its almost as if the server tells the kitchen that theres a woman and a man so make 1 plate smaller for the woman. Im a woman that has a super metabolism and eat frequent meals so I want enough food to fill me up.
Our first time here and everything was perfect from the friendly atmosphere to the colorful menus; the service was great, the food was to die for, the salsa was awesome, the house margarita was good, the portion sizes are big, all around we are impression and by far way better than lazy donkey! Will visit here more.
This is the only Mexican restaurant I’ll eat at in Carrollton & every time I come in there Rosa takes very good care of me & my family! I prefer her as a server over anyone. I’m a server myself & she’s def the best server there! She has great customer service skills. Thanks for such amazing service.
Great food and friendly service. The day we went, I believe they had septic problems and there was a bad smell outside which tried to creep in, Everytime the door opened for customers. The food was great despite it.
We come here at least once a month. Our chips have never been empty nor drinks. The food comes out hot and fresh. The servers are great and the whole place is nice and clean. We love Monterreys!
Been eating here and happy for years! Today sat for almost an hour. Watched my wife eat her food. Then cancelled my order. Still charged me $10. And for the dip my wife ate as her meal. Will not ever go back
The service was slow. The salsa was very watered down and tasted like pure salt and water- almost like watered down ketchup. Cheese dip was very thin and watery. It took about 45 minutes to get our food and there was only about 4 other tables there. The beans were thin and like out of a can. Woke up the next day with horrible food poisoning.
She put the HOT chz dip in front of a baby he stuck his hand in it and she still tried to charge me 9.50 because she had to bring me another one. Horrible service experience
The texture of their chips and the salsa that they bring you as you take your seat is lovely. Im not a huge fan of their ground beef filling, but the chipped chicken filling is spot on. The rice was soft and fluffy, but the refried beans were simply watered down too much. Service time was very slow considering the customer density and the jumbo margarita was slightly below par because Id drunk the whole darn thing before our meals were served and yeah, although the orange and lime garnishes were attractive, it was pretty weak. The salt rim that Id ordered on it either got sloshed into it on the way over or they need a refresher course on how to salt a rim.Wait staff was friendly- waiters that didnt even service our table smiled and said have a nice day as we exited, which was a really great touch.Their stuffed poblano peppers are the reason Im coming back. Theres something about the breading that Im very much in love with. Next time Im eating at the bar so I can watch my drink being made. ;)

Its a tex-mex restaurant. Food is good. But the building is old and if you were to bring someone in a wheelchair, moving around inside and such is difficult. The building is very old and hasnt aged well. Used to be a favorite of mine, but cant say that now.

EAT HERE!!! This is by FAR the greatest tasting authentic mexican food I have had in Georgia! I love mexican, so Ive been to quite a few mexican restaurants but this place is a hidden treasure! I love Wednesdays when they have a live mariachi band that cones by each table playing song requests. This is a fantastic place for families, date nights, group outings/meetings, solo outings, night if drinks (they have a bar), and even GREAT TAKE OUT! The staff is EXCELLENT, and have fantastic customer service skills. Ive been in carrollton for 6 years now, and regret that I am just trying this place. Lorenzo is an awesome waiter! GO HERE!

I’d got to this place rather than Lazy Donkey. The best Mexican place in town. Their homemade hot salsa is delicious. Staff is very friendly and food has very good authentic Mexican taste.

2022-02-09The staff was great. I got the ACP. It is not a well known dish. Basically it is a bed of rice, covered with chicken and cheese. I substituted ground beef for chicken. It was so good, I forgot to take a picture of it before it was all gone. I will be back!

2022-06-18One of the best to go experiences I have had ordering to go for my work. We often order lunch as a group. It is a hassle to order for 8 to 12 people. And we can be hard to please. Many times there are issues. Today we decided to try a new place for us. I needed chips and salsa for every order. I needed an itemized receipt also so I could figure what everyone owed me(one person pays and everyone else pays that person back). The girl that took my order did awesome. The food was actually ready when they said it would be ready. Every order was correct and labeled with the food inside. Not only did I get an itemized receipt, I got individual receipts which made my job easier. And they gave us a box to take it in. Amazing.

2021-10-19I ordered two plates of enchiladas verdes/ green enchiladas.Usually, the chicken is shredded. But the chicken they use is grilled. The chicken was stale. I had someone try enchiladas verdes for their first time. I’m not happy that it wasn’t a good experience for them.

2022-06-07A few things - The young man waiting on us was nice, except we felt rushed to go when we were finished. After we stayed awhile, a lady came to a table next to us and slammed all the dishes, silverware, and glasses to annoy us. The restaurant didnt close for another hour and a half. The young waiter was asking us, over and over if we needed anything - we continued telling him no, we were fine. When we were ready to pay the tab- he did what I consider begging: he said do you need any change. Asking that question makes me not tip - waitstaff should say Ill be right back with your change and if they do that maybe they can keep the change. Wont be back. Trust me, there is no lack of competition in this town.
