Where should I start. They gave us a table that wasnt clean. We waited almost two hours for our food. The food was bland and the alcohol was water down. I know this for sure because I order a daiquiri and didnt taste any rum, so I ordered a shot, poured the whole shot and tasted nothing. When I spoke to the manger he never denied my Allegations and responded with Ill take it off your bill. Then to boot, we go to pay for the food and the waitress showed us the bill but only left the signature page with the total. Never said the tip was included. When we asked to review the bill we noticed the total included a tip. So if I left the cash I was going to give her, she would have gotten a double tip.Save your time and money and leave them to their ghetto fabulous games!
This is a very nice establishment that caters to grown folks. The hostess were not knowledgeable at all everyone that we asked about the buffet didn’t know anything. We finally went into the cigar bar and the bartender explained to us what the different rooms were and how seating works. All staff should at least be able to answer simple questions when asked. Overall, it was nice to mix and mingle with grownups no kids. I will visit again soon.
Awesome night spot! Has everything to offer. Three large separate areas. One side is more like a sports bar were they do live comedy shows. One side is like a tradition club with a stage for live bands and then a closed off (with glass) area that serves as a cigar lounge with a full humidor. Plus a patio area. Mature crowd.
🎉☺️ my favorite place to visit when I’m in town. Met a group of friends here for the comedy show and good vibes. The food is delicious 🤤 I always order the wings, jammin salmon, greens and lobster Mac… the drinks are strong and the cigar lounge was a hit for my husband. I made him fall in love with this place. Last time we went the live band was jamming!! But the music is always on point.. a mixture of old school with the new.. free before 8pm… $10pp after that.
First time visiting Monticello with a group of 8⃣ people. Samm was our server and she was super sweet, very accommodating and kind. She has a beautiful personality and was informative about Monticellos events. The Food 🥘 was good ....I had ONLY sides: Mac nCheese, Collards and Smashed Potatoes....DELICIOUS👍🏿.....THE COMEDY SHOW was good .....the 🎶🎼 even better because theyre several areas where you can walk into a -catch a Vibe🖤💋🕺🏾. We all enjoyed Monticello and will return ❗❗
I visited this place on last Friday night. If I could give this modern day backwoods hole in a wall DUMP a negative 0 I would. I was served a drink with glass in it. White 200lb belly stringy hair white man addressed my complaint and did nothing but apologize. My tab came to $156.00. After sitting at what was told to us a non reserved table for 2 hours we were asked to get up bc the table was reserved. The con artist waitresses, which (for some reason we had two) for only 3 guest had us to move for what appeared to be a regular. The menu advertises the mixed drinks at $14, I was charged an extra $2 for the alcohol. I order a meal to go from the menu priced at $26 I payed an extra dollar for the to go order. The food looked like slop in a box. I paid $50.00 for two buffets that serves crab legs just for them to tell me I can only get one claw. What a waste of money. This LNE have a very impressive website. In reality overall it’s a 1 star lounge. The cigar room looks like you’re hanging out back at a juke joint. The entire restaurant/lounge was smoked out. Establishments that add gratuity does not make sure that management do their due diligence when it comes to customer service. I will be getting X-rays and calling a lawyer because I cannot let this go. I will NEVER visit this place again and is encouraging everyone I know to stay way by sharing my dreadful experience via social media.
Nice atmosphere but bring your own lighter. They tell you to ask your bartender for a light so I ask the lady 3 different times for a light. The first time she lights it and it doesnt light good and she moved to the next person, thats when I asked for a second and third time. She started dancing eating her chicken and telling another customer that tried to her her about us that dont nobody run her. I didnt even want to smoke after that. Thumbs down for me
Food is good and well sized; hosts, servers and bartenders are 5+ stars; but management is the reason I will never go there again. I went on NFL draft night 2022. It was a low attendance night with plenty of open tables and seats, no lines for anything (not even the bathroom)! This is a Bistro, Cigar and Sports lounge but when I smoked my Black & Mild pipe tobacco CIGAR a manager approached me to say I couldnt smoke that here. it wasnt a problem with any of the dozens if staff or security that walked by me but this manager had a problem with me smoking my PIPE TOBACCO CIGAR at a bistro, CIGAR and sports lounge. his only explanation was that it wasnt a premium cigar. Ive been smoking for over 20 years and have never heard of this rule/policy in any cigar lounge and definitely dont know how this could be enforced without discrimination. I would understand if the policy was cigars must be purchased at the cigar lounge but that was not the policy. as a business, if youre going to be that pretentious, you should enforce a dress code... that will 1) keep the demographic out that you dont want there and 2) warn everyone else to just go to Fellaship lounge instead!
It was our first time going and Its not what I expected. Its more for the younger crowd. Was ok til told we had to share a very small table with strangers. I liked our waitress. Very professional. Dont like the NO REFUND. spent a lot if money just for 15 mins. Paid for tickets, didnt stay for the show.
I need to add another star 🌟. Finally a ADULT environment. Where people can go and have a good time.drinks were on point food was good.but my waitres was slow but I understood the place was very enjoyable. Plan to visit again.but I didnt like the men entering with tennis shoes .thats a thumbs down for me in such a lovely place. Change that one thing please.
Do not! I repeat do not go to this place. The food was subpar and they charge you hidden fees on the food and drinks. My husband and I ordered French fries, chicken wings, two drinks and ended up paying $86 bucks. The waiters didnt tell us that there werent free refills on the sodas so when we got the bill we noticed 5 charges for drinks. When I got there they kept telling me the daiquiri guy was coming of which he never showed up but they had like 5 different flavors of daiquiris on their menu. The comedy pretty good although was most of the comedians I saw just crack on you instead of coming up with their own material. It was just not a good experience to say the least and definitely not a place I would recommend.
Beautiful place.. was such a nice day out... overall... I would go again... I think the chaos of mothers day overwhelmed the staff.I was not happy with plastic silverware.. ESPECIALLY if my plate costs $27.Now for the food. It was a 53 minute wait.I got the slamming salmon. I requested it blackened. It was cold and bland and NOT seasoned at all...with 3 tiny little shrimp and hardly and crab. and no veggies at all on the menu.....My husband got the cheeseburger.. how can you mess up a burger?? Overcook it and then serve it cold with cold fries. My girlfriend ordered wings and they had to be redone 3 times because they were not cooked in the middle. And the salt and pepper shakers were just plain nasty and sticky.. what is the brown stuff all over the bottle.... I cant make this up.
I will not be visiting Monticello again and I have encouraged my friends not to visit either. I visited on June 19 with my fiancee, sister, cousin and friend. My fiancee purchased drinks for he and I. My sister, friend and I purchased a hookah and split the check. 1. They automatically add gratuity to all checks, which I am ok with even though the waitresses here consistently provide poor service and have horrible attitudes. 2. Members of our party had to cancel their food because it took so long to come out and when they inquired, were told it wasnt even being prepared or close to coming out. 3. What I am not ok with is that they charged both my card and my fiancees card for more than what was authorized on our receipts. When reviewing my bank statement, I noticed Monticello charged me over double the price I was supposed to pay. I didnt even mention to my fiancee, but one day he says how much was our ticket at Monticello? I think they charged me extra. Turns out they added at least $15 extra to his total amount as well. They do not answer the phone, so I have not been able to contact anyone at the establishment to report. So I have disputed with my bank. Do not visit if you dont want unauthorized charges on your card.
False advertisement. Reservations don’t mean reservations at this establishment. My husband booked a reservation 2 weeks ago for the comedy show that promoted complimentary entry before 9pm just for us to get there at 8:30 and can’t find anywhere to seat down let alone order food to eat. it was packed to capacity, and a lot of ppl hugging the wall. The point of making a reservation is so you can reserve a slot which was not the case. They just kept letting ppl in even tho they reached their max which I’m sure is a fire hazard. For valet they are gender bias, if a man is accompanying you they charge upfront $20 but all ladies $10 which is typical Atl behavior. The bar is small and Nobody was wearing their mask. Such a disappointment
My first experience here was when Rick Ross performed, we had no issue. I went back on 5/22/22 for the Ja Rule concert and it was horrible. The tables were to be on a first come seating basis before 7 pm...we arrived before 7 pm and got our wristbands...wait, let me back up... they wouldnt let one of our party in initially as her tickets werent printed but she had the email. We finally got it and they told us we could not sit at the tables that were not reserved. The place was empty..no one had arrived... I mean it was JaRule not Money Bag Yo. We left, we wont be returning....and we werent the only ones. The other thing is this concert was canceled in March and we waited til May for this ..they did not give us an option for a refund.
The bathroom lady rudely asked me if I was pregnant, then also this was my first time here and the complete experience was bad, we were there for an hour before we even got our food and that’s after we complained to the manager, then as I’m leaving the bathroom some man in a suit rudely told me how my shoes weren’t allowed and whoever let me in will be dealt with but there is just a way to say things and I felt very offended. Also once I finally received my food, it wasn’t hot just warm but the man had the audacity to comment on my clothes, honestly the whole experience sucked and there’s so much I could say, but I will not be returning
My first time ... didnt know what to expect. I thought we were going to go out to dinner and watch game ... we realized that this is sort of a mix bag of a lounge with dj, cigar bar and patio area. We thought we were going to hear the game not just watch but the dj was playing music and then a comedian was coming on so we left so we could find a place to hear game.My friend and I are not smokers so we were on the patio. it was 80 + degrees but on patio it was a great temperature.Nice atmosphere.... before entering they checked ID and our temperature 👍all of the men associated with this had on suit coats 👍classy establishment. We ordered the slamming salmon and that was sooo good ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐... we have been trying other restaurants over the past couple of months and have been disappointed. We both agreed we are coming back. 🤗
Had a small birthday celebration here. (Sigh) as soon as the server comes out she says to my group I wont make money with yall here ?? It went downhill from there. Not sure why she would say something like that to a customer. Seat us? Give us menus, so then you will make your money? 50/50 you have a good or bad time. Good luck.
I went to the Monticello for a show that Tank was supposed to perform. We paid to see a show and Tank did not show up. All we got was our money took. No one wants to take accountability for the fact that a lot of people are out of their money. This was my first time at the Monticello and my last time here. I felt like we were robbed by this event and place. I can say some of the workers was nice.
Only two places I know that give you a multiplex environment food is good and the djs are fantastic Monticello and Chicagos! You cant go wrong..Monticello is more club and entertainment and Chicago is more sports bar car and bike show spot. Taking youre girl out or meeting someone new Monticello is the spot..
I was told about the venue by a co-worker of mine so I went there on Saturday the 19th.My bill was $33:17 I paid with credit card and tip $10 in cash ,check my credit card statement on Tuesday I was billed $40.I called several times left messages until I finally spoke with a female by the name of Amanda she telling that the server worked there for a long time that he would not do that and if the $8 mean that much to me I need to come back to the establishment for a check or a drink.
Extremely crowded!!!! But very fun. My girls and I came here for the first time last night. I heard about it through an advertisement on the radio. There was a section for the restaurant, a smoke room and then another section with a large bar and dance floor. We had a really good time here and my lobster mac and cheese was so bomb!!! This is the type of fun I can never find in Cali and this thats why I love Atlanta so much
Good food. They were out of the item we order but the substitution was good. We had the Turkey leg with shrimp and alfredo sauce. The waitess Maddie was awesome. The owner came by and was not very personable. We were from out of state and he treated us like we were trying to get a free meal when all we wanted was the item we ordered for the price of the item they were out of. $2.00 difference. As an owner you need to get ppl to love your business and want to come back. You also want to make a personal connection. Didnt happen. Crisette Michelle was the performer and she was good.
I dont support places that discriminate against people. There are countries where men wear skirts/makeup and here I see this restaurant all over snap chat and discriminating a man for wearing a long skirt when there are countries and other places around the world where men wear dresses and skirts. Men have been wearing wigs, makeup, dresses and skirts all throughout history especially in the Victorian Era its a shame that such judgmental people who have the nerve to live in a state thats filled and known to have the lgbtq+ community have the nerve to work at public places. Clothes are accessories we were born naked and the same remember that next time you want to deny someone service due to their accessories and attire.
31.50 for the buffet. Labeled as all you can eat. I got my ticket at 8pm, I was told that the buffet closes at 9:30pm, it closed at 9pm... I wasted money and didnt get to eat. Its a busy place, esp for an event night. Its my 1st here. Im not a club person. Theres a cover charge after 8pm. They want 30.00 pp to sit in the area where the love music is also. To me thats just too much ($80 to $100) for a non club goer, uh uh. Nice black Owned establishment though. They pack them in. Too much for me, great for those who are still into the party scene. Cigar bar, sports bar, and bistro... Standing Room Only
Visited this place for the first time on Sunday for brunch. The food was delicious, but the service received from Ashley was not. She was not attentive m, nor did she know much about menu offerings. Our check included gratuity(15%) nearly $11, for the both of us. When Ashley saw that the check didnt include additional gratuity, she rolled her eyes, walked off shaking her head. Never even said thank for coming out...enjoy your day...appreciate your patience...NOTHING.
Nice club clean located next to other business looks like a small strip mall. Parking was right they do offer valet parking but bring your patience on the night we were there they were short staffed.Multi rooms one had a comedy show the other one had a a live band and they also have a cigar bar.We paid for the buffet which they give you a wrist band for one trip but it was worth it or you can wait until 9pm and order food from the kitchen the food was delicious, good music and DJ.The servers and service was awesomeWill be returning on another visit to Atlanta.
I tried to give it a 0!!! So I goes to this smoked out spot. Got seated! Order two bottles of water and one drink; a bill for $52.01. Wasn’t aware of a $5 entertainment fee. The front door didn’t state this, the server didn’t state it! I didn’t know until I received the bill! The wanna be supervisor, said he assumed we was aware of the $5 entertainment fee and they do not tell the front door to express that when you walk through the door! So since the facility don’t make you aware of it, besides on there website and assume that you look at the menu before coming in, I wanted to make sure you is aware of this before attending this smoked out facility!
I would give this place 0 stars. I was enjoying myself until the bill came. I had ONE drink. Casamigos. They added a $5 entertainment fee and the gratuity making my bill $26. At the very least tell someone at the door all tabs have an automatic entertainment fee added. I was about to bring over 20+ here to celebrate my 50th in a couple of weeks. Taking them somewhere they will be respected. This is ROBBERY. Prior to this I had TWO drinks and wings for $31. Make this make sense. Manager was very dismissive. Not coming back. There’s no way I would haggle over $5. It’s the principle. The appropriate way to handle that is to compensate your customer in some way since there’s no signage and no warning given.
My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary this weekend. We decided to enjoy it with some comedy, drinks and food. We arrived on time to get good seats. Shortly after, we ordered our drinks and dinner, then the show started. The problem occurred when the waitress forgot our order. We finally received our dinner (Dinner was ok), but no drinks. We waited and watched as all the tables around us got their drinks. We were told the bar was backed up with a lot of Daiquiri orders. After asking the waitress and one of the managers what is going on with our drinks and they couldnt give us any good answers, we asked for water. The water took a while too. We just wanted to pay for the food and leave. We went to a better place to get drinks.
Monticellos very nice place to go out and have fun they have comedy shows on Saturday nights they also have a cigar room and also a dancing room for parties the staff is very nice and friendly they have a lot of different events going on there very nice place to go out to enjoy yourself.
Thursday night comedy. Went with a associate who met up with friends. Nice vibe good food. Vip in the girl is drunk disrespectful not knowing just takes a wing off my plate! Thankfully I kept my patience and composure...wooooh! She ends up starting a argument. Just messy drunk, she was the only off vibe. Even the waitress was confused. Was late for the show but there was a nice crowd. I enjoyed dancing on the floor. I would go back with different company
Would have given it ZERO stars but that isnt an option. Arrived at 1:00PM on Sunday, June 6 valet parked my car. Quickly found a table on the patio and waited quite patiently for a server. After waiting about half hour, I found an employee of the establishment and asked if they could send our server over. When she arrived her attitude was less than pleasant but she took both our drink and food order. At 2:40PM we were still without food and drink (including water). Ultimately we left so I cant comment on the quality of the food because I didnt get a chance to taste it.
Update: service is terrible. I will not be back.Pros: Large venue with an outdoor patio and the band was pretty good.Cons: old, tattered furnishings. Service was very slow. Automatic 15% gratuity on all checks, and a 3.75% fee to pay with a credit card. Food wasnt good and was overpriced. Cant order food until after the buffet (probably leftover from the buffet). No drink menu.
This place is decorated nice (Upscale look but..seating arrangements need improvement, one uncourteous staff member kept telling us we couldnt sit in certain areas, we were from out of town and almost left after paying $20 cover charge..until a bartender noticed us struggling watched put for us a seat at bar area, was very attentative even when my nephew and girlfriend called and joined us, everything perked up we stayed for 3 more hours left smiling had fun...
Buyers Beware***How you charge us $500 for a tabletop for 4. Rick Ross show was supposed to start at 8:00, he comes on after 12:30 a.m. He performed 1 1/2 songs….we noticed that he stopped rapping 1/2 way through the second one. He then leaves abruptly. We didn’t get a reason, refund, or discount. We ran up a $300 tab at the table. Never again! The waitress told us that she’s seen a few artists perform like 3 songs and leave including Jagged Edge.
We went for my birthday on a recommendation from a friend of a friend. I think we thought, it would have more of a club vibe and this was not the case. It was three of us, so that was $60 dollars to get in. Which most clubs charge a cover, but this place is more of a restaurant/bar than anything to me. It has different sides that play different music, didnt really see a dance floor in the area we were in. The music in the area we were in was great, but you had to basically dance at your table. I cant comment on the food because I didnt eat, but the drinks were fine though. I did see people doing hookahs, so if thats your thing, they have it. Overall, its just not my cup of tea. The cover seemed high too high for what it was, our DJ was great, but no where to dance, this probably would be a good place to go to early for happy hour or something when they arent charging a high cover charge.
Last night was amazing! They had the KRS One & Big Daddy Kane versus on. The jerk egg rolls were 😋🤤! So was the salmon & mash potatoes. I even had a cigar that tasted like grape. Tony was AMAZING, & even gave us hand sanitizer. Great atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back. ❤️🤩
This place is not welcoming to new people. They were charging $20 at the door. The lounge looked boring so we wanted to see the club before we paid $20 and they said we could just leave. Verbatim the doorman said “that’s that 21 year old s*%!” I’m 36. While it’s flattering he thought I was 21 that was a rude statement. Why would I want to return when there are comparable lounges with a better vibe closer to the city that have no cover charge. And the doormen are welcoming. Judging by the caliber of people walking in there’s a reason they though I was 21. Go to Cigar City instead!
Today was my first day going to Monticello ATL and I really enjoyed myself. The atmosphere is a great mix from old to young, the food is great and the drink arevery exceptional. The service is great as well but I will say that the time waiting for your food and drinks is drawlin...(if your from Philly like me you know what that means). But over all a great experience!
Our group came for a comedy show. The hostess told us to have a seat at a booth. There were no booths available. The hostess tried to move a couple from one of the booths but they would not move. By the way. I don’t blame them. But they say us on the patio where we could “still hear the comedy”. But there was a Georgia football game on and most of the people on the patio were watching that. So we could not here the comedy. It was a bad experience. We ordered food anyway and a drink since it is a 2 item minimum. Plus the twenty to park your car. I’m sure this is a great venue but our experience was not so good.
I attended this place today with some close friends. The atmosphere was alright however I had to wait 30 minutes just for drink that I DIDNT ORDER!! I placed my food order after my drink but NEVER received my food at all!!! Then waitress expected a tip… I try supporting black owned businesses but this I strongly recommend going elsewhere.. I literally drove 45 mins for NOTHING! As a veteran of the USA this hurts me.
Ok here is my reason for this review,The good, the young man who was our waiter in the cigar bar area was good and the food was also. The bad, we made reservations over the phone for 7:30 pm but the hostess had no clue very unprofessional she did not accommodate us after we told her our problem, she questioned us repeatedly about who we spoke with. They use plastic ware very cheap at that but give the food nice plating. Overall the place has a great feel, just management needs to be more in tuned with the customer needs and also cigar smokers should be there. cigarette smokers should have their own location. cigar smoke is pleasant and cigarettes stink.. A few changes and this place would awesome.
Our 1st time there. The hostess wanted to argue about our reservations. We were standing there willing to spend money, just accommodate us please. Our waiter was good. We asked him was our seats and table reserved. he replied he didnt think so. He shouldve known it was his station. We were given plastic utensils to eat with! Really?!? Half way through our meal another waiter informed us our table was reserved for a party. We were rushed! We were gonna spend more money on the inside but decided not to since we didnt feel welcome. So we paid tipped and left.
Third visit and first was for comedy on Thur. Comedians not too bad with exception of one. Second visit tried brunch food really good just took over an hour. Bottomless mimosas really good price and music descent. Third visit comedy and $25 All you can eat buffet. Crab legs, shrimp, baked chicken, fried catfish, either steak or pork chops in gravy, pasta, salads and rice. Food good but staff kept running out so you had to wait to replenish. Comedy is suppose to start 7:30pm as advertised on tickets and website. We waited around and finally left at 9:00pm so not sure when started. Myself and a girlfriend started walking out and dj yelled yall cougars leaving to which we responded and signaled 7:30pm by holding up 7 fingers and 1/2 and dj responded So Not the right response for a business as you can hear other people in crowd wondering when comedy was starting. Not sure who owner is but thats not how you keep customers returning. If comedy starts after 9pm, perhaps consider advertising new start time unless you can afford missing out on sales from food and drinks. I might go back but not for comedy.
I ordered the salmon dinner along with a few drinks. I haven’t finished my food before the waitress Shenchinah asked if I wanted to cash out and head to the bar. Really? Can I finish my $30 meal first! Or how about you ask me if I wanted water or dessert. It would have been nice to eat my dinner with silverware instead of cheap plastic utensils. There are too many places to go here in Atlanta to tolerate bad service.
Purchased reserved tickets for Neyo this past Sunday and got there and no reserved seats were available. The ticket stated reserved guarantee seating and a few people were told its first come first served on 81.00 tixs. This is ridiculous and unheard of! They over sold reserved seating and didnt care they couldnt accommodate the people. Worst management ever! Never will return there
Good food but the system to get their orders out does not cut it! I ordered my food online with it saying a 30 to 40 min pickup time. When I get there, I still had to wait another 45mins before my food was ready. The crowd outside in multiple lines and seats outside had no apparent functioning system. So if you think the food is worth the chaos just to get it, then by all means help yourself!
This place disappointed me GREATLY. I went for a friends birthday, and it was 3 of us at a table. I ordered the egg rolls (decent) and the shrimp and grits (was cold , had to ask the waitress to microwave, since if i sent it back that was all they were gonna do anyway)I was tempted to order the BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS but the waitress said it was only three refills allowed. Which means it’s NOT bottomless. You have to order bottled water, because they don’t give it in a cup.I got my receipt and GRATUITY Was added. Fine cool , I CHECKED MY ACCOUNT TODAY AND IT WAS $20 added to my bill.I will never go back, I’m STILL waiting on a manager to call me back. Not to mention the valet picks who has to pay $5 $10 or $20 based off their mood, AND HAD THE NERVE TO ASK ME TO PARK MY OWN CAR AFTER I PAID FOR VALET
I was sooooo DISAPPOINTED!! Thank goodness the DJ was good! We arrived at the location with our entire party for my cousin’s birthday. They open at 12:15 and we didn’t get our food until 2 hours later! The waitress took our order and NEVER came back! she never cleared the table, offered us water etc..I am still waiting to get 2 items I ordered, that I never got!!!We were a party of 10, but when we got there it was NOT crowded! I generally don’t write complaints or compliments, mainly because I forget, but I’m still in disbelief about our experience. My cousin begin to apologize, but it was NOT her fault! I can only imagine what’s it’s like on a busy day or night! When the first round of food came, only 2 people got their order. They were done before 6 more got ours. We were DONE then the last 2 orders came to our table! The birthday girl got her order last! The ‘bus-boy’ starting being our waiter. He cleared the table, checked on our orders so we tipped him! To let you know how bad it was, one of the managers, startedmaking us rounds to shots I guess to accommodate us!Monticello MUST do better! My nephew, who owns a restaurant felt the same way. Unfortunately, this experience will be my 1st & last @ Monticello.Lastly, the waitress came to our table to bring the check and stated… ‘is there anything you all need?? UNBELIEVABLE! She was very smug & sarcastic when she said it! You know it’s bad when the DJ starts saying.. your food will be there shortly!
Here for Brunch. Had to wait outside fir e0 minutes for the servers to show. Open doors they are still cleaning and mopping..computers are down. Waiting...smh...Manager hasnt said anything or offered us water. They should have given ever8a complimentary drink or apologized.Im other nights are better but this is so unorganized. Hoping the food is good.
I was here for a Brunch it was the Absolute Worse Service that I have Had. Needless to say we had a large group, but they simply didnt have proper staff in place to accommodate. Food and Drink orders were placed, and Messed Up! Some items Never made it to the Table but found its way to the Bill. Manager was Unfound when requested. Waitress had a full on Meltdown when confronted about orders 👀 We ordered a Hookah, paid for it at point of service.. gave the girl a tip via Cash App, signed ZERO ON TIP LINE... Get a notification from bank 2 days Later that transaction was updated to add a 7$ Tip. THATS THEFT! I have Reached out via Email 2 times to so called Management to NO AVAIL. The ONLY THING Good Was the DJ and the Raspberry Henny Margarita 👀. Place is Nice in Decor BUT WE WONT BE BACK UNFORTUNATELY.
We attended the Saturday night comedy show. Great space! Great sound system and music! Some of the staff members were not very pleasant. The food was not hot in temperature only the plate, and the drinks were short. Parking was a bit far and the parking did not have good lighting. Multiple areas to hangout inside the lounge though.
First let me say the music n band were greatLets talk about the event I planned months in advance. SUNDAY brunch you get your tickets thru eventbrite. I even spoke to someone on the phone to make them aware if my large party. Git to the parking lot and the stop you to pay $5 for parking.. doors open at 12p... but not yesterday...I get up to the door and give them my name n Im nowhere on the list. But we were still seated. The waitress had a least 10 tables yes my party only. I placed order first and got my food last but everyone at my table got there good.My party some didnt have their drinks nor ever received there food. You would think since we were there at open these mistakes shouldnt havent been madeI ordered the salmon... the potatoes had the skin and the server didnt give me the option of rice. Also I only had 2 crawfish and 2 shrimp. My daughter order lobster mac and each plate looked different wasnt sheese and the mac was skimpy. But the other person ordered the same and her was cheese and boiling hot
I would NOT visit this establishment. We arrived at 3pm with a party of 5 and were sat at a table meant for 4 with a fifth chair crammed in. We asked to be seated somewhere else and were accomedated, following this we waited half an hour before having to ask TWICE for a server. I later discovered that our server has been working for 3 days and has ZERO training, she was understandably nervous and took all of our orders at once, including drinks. One person in our party wanted nonalcoholic drinks and because our server was brand new with no training or supervision she had to return twice to tell us they didnt serve the drinks he ordered. The rest of our party ordered daiquiris which took 30 minutes and when they arrived they were half melted. It took an additional 20 minutes to revive BOTTLED water which costs 3 dollars each. 4 of us received our food another 20 minutes later which came cold and with items missing. The fifth member of our group was told roughly 15 minutes later after everyone had eaten that what he ordered was NO LONGER AVAILABLE. At this point we asked for a manager. The manager came over and we expressed our issues and he asked us if we wanted anything we were reluctant to ask for anything but let him bring us some mimosas and comps us the AUTOMATIC 18% gratuity. The fifth member of our party ordered something else which came roughly five minutes later which leads me to believe it was another customers order which was given to us instead. After this we waited for our checks and decide to split it 3-ways. When we receive the receipt its split 3 ways with the prices being unevenly split randomly on the 3 cards. We aak to have the price split EVENLY this time. She brings a man over who when asked for his title responds I Work here he explains that in order for him to charge us the equal amount they would have to void the bill and recharge us. We agreed to this. When the received the new checks we noticed that they snuck the gratuity they said would be comped back on. We complained about it and this time left our table and followed our waiter the who spoke to the manager for about 10 minutes before we approached ourselves. After threatening to call our banks they agreed to comp the whole meal. This is the WORST restaurant experience Ive EVER HAD find somewhere else to go it is not worth your money nor your time to visit this establishment.
After arriving at 4:30 and having a pleasant experience with our original server, she had to cash us out to focus on another area. She explained we would receive a new server. After waiting for quite some time, we began ordering food and drinks from the bar. I then asked a random server for a manager. She asked about the issue, which I explained. She said I will get you a server and still have the manager come over. A server approached the table and took the others order at the table. We waited 40 min before I requested for the manager AGAIN due to not receiving the order. The manager approaches the table and I explained the issue. He spoke with the server and after 10 min we finally received the food. Meanwhile, we still haven’t received the drinks. Here is the most disgusting and disappointing part, the server finally arrived with our drinks after a total of one hour wait time, with her finger inside the 3 shot cups AND the drink order was incorrect. I proceeded to explain the distaste in her delivery and sarcasm. I spoke with the manager AGAIN. At this point, we asked him what he is doing for the inconvenience. He (Sheldon) proceeds to explain how he needs to research the issue and that anyone can say anything, while in the same sentence stating that others near us are experiencing the same thing. He stated, “everyone is mad at her right now.” He says, “y’all need to see things from my side and know I need to research things to understand what is going on.” At this point, it’s been 30 min since I’ve spoken with him initially. It took the nice bartender whom I was getting my drinks and food from to approach him about compensating atleast a round of drinks. Let me not leave out, with the previous server we spend $300 (hookah, food, and drinks). This is not including my $70 tab at the bar. When you experience the level of inconvenience and bad service we received, you expect to feel relieved after connecting with the manager. In this case, the sentiments were the opposite. Too many excuses, instead of MAKING IT RIGHT and reinstalling trust in your customers. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone.
The atmosphere is great. Was there on Sunday to see the Love King, Raheem Devaughn. But lets talk about service....the waitress had an ego and attitude like she was doing me a favor. NOT! There were 3 in my party and one didnt get her food until the rest of the table finished eating. Asked for water and couldnt get any and to top it all off was rushed to pay the ticket. After that the waitress never returned to see if we wanted anything else. Very poor customer service. Too many people packed in the place, no air conditioning, and too much cigarette smoking on the inside. Raheem Devaughn was the only reason I stayed. The level of unorganized hosting to be seated was unheard of to say the least. To top it all off, they announced that it was black owned and operated. And people wonder why going to a Caucasian establishment is better. Just look at how Chick fila runs there facilities.
Came on a Friday night and had an amazing time! Music and DJ was great, he played all kinds of music and mixed very well. I didnt sit the entire night cuz I stayed on the dance floor. Bartenders were good, quick and friendly, crowd was cool, grown and sexy atmosphere. Ill be back!
People please look at the coals when you get a Hookah I paid $36.00 for a dam Hookah and this is what I got .I was there on a Sunday and these guys I was with had a big hookah and they was done the same way.So I made sure I checked it when I order it.They never came back to give me a re lite. Its a dam Shame you try and support Black Business and they do there own people like this I am so over this place.y’all charge to dam much money to be playing with the dam coals..
I visited when recording artist Teedra Moses performed and the sound production was absolutely terrible! I also went to the bar to order food and drinks as well as have a nice cigar and when I asked the Manager a question he was not very customer friendly with me. The bar manager appeared to only be interested in flirting with the beautiful ladies and constantly talking to male patrons that he may have been more familiar with. The food and drinks are definitely great however I think that the customer service needs to definitely step it up several knotches to be considered an elite location.
Dave Hollister was awesome, however, to have paid for Reseve seating, it took awhile to be seated. Also, would have loved to spend more more, especially on food and cocktails, however, we only saw a waitress when I saw one walking by and asked if she would take our order. Then, she brought us back a HOT Bud Light that she said she had to find somewhere. She said they ran out of cold beer and cold glasses. May need to hire more staff and make sure youre fully stocked, especially when you have a major artist performing.
Only come here if you feel like punishing yourself. 1 hour wait to order food. 30 mins for drinks to come out. They brought out the food for all but one person in our party, had thay person waiting. Then came out 10 mins later and asked him to order something else because they didnt have what he ordered.Manager only been there 2 weeks so has no clue whats going on. Had the nerve to add 18% gratuity. Waitress been working her 3 days, bless her soul, and had no formal training. Black people, we gotta do better.Oh and they didnt comp anything off the bill. SHAMEFUL!!!
If you want bad service and long food wait this is the place to go for brunch. The Dj announced that the food was coming out. They fail to tell you there’s a two hour sitting limit during brunch, after you’ve waited an hour for food. After placing an order of drinks the server tell us we have 5 mins. I asked if we’re still spending money why do we have 5mins. The real truth they wanted to table to sit a bigger party. They sat us at the large booth and add two ppl to our table we didn’t know. Now you’re rushing us because your host sitting arrangements. Instead of asking if we’re willing to move to a smaller table to continue. They over pack the place and set their servers and kitchen up for failure. The food was good, but it’s not worth the treatment.
Came here for a comedy show that was suppose to start at 7pm! It didn’t start until 9... We never officially had a server. One person came got us drinks and never came back the rest of the night. We set with a empty cup for two hours. Zero stars for customer service. DRINKS ARE WAY OVERPRICED! How did two 8 oz margaritas cost $35. No I won’t be back or recommend
We visited on Saturday evening. This place was jumping deep!!! I didnt like the fact that they were charging at the door! The cigar room was full of heavy smoke and I felt like I was choking!! Some ppl were pretty rude when it was getting close to closing time. Overall its a ok vibe but I wont be going there too often!
Horrible experience! My husband and I sat in an hour worth of traffic only to be turned away from entering, in the rudest way possible, all due to my husband wearing a white shirt. He was told to, “go get another shirt”, as though he was a little kid. Not to mention, he and one of his employees had been to this restaurant previously with no problems and no “no white t-shirt” dress code. Never again!!!
My friend invited me here on a Friday in which they had a free buffet from 5-7 and a live band that was absolutely amazing. The issue I had was when the bartender informed us they we had to get up from our seats (at the bar) because someone had reserved them. How do you allow us to sit there, spend our money on drinks and then ask us to give up our seats. I ask to speak with the manager and he said we have VIP customers coming that’s spending hundreds of dollars on drinks and that’s tipping hundreds. I felt like my money wasn’t good enough. I felt this was very rude and unprofessional. If you only cater to people you think have money you won’t be in business long. I will not patronize this establishment or any other establishment that does not respect ALL of their customers equally. Btw they was not following any COVID regulations.
We had a great time. The envious very nice. A GRILL AND A CIGAR LOUNGE we also enjoyed the comedy show..get there early for comedy shows to find seating or better yet get vip seats... i ordered salmon and chips it was very delish... my girlfriend had macaroni and cheese with lobster tail which was also very yummy. Im planning on being there often..just need to get there early 4 seating..
No covid guidelines at all! Place was packed.Tables were so close together that if you go in-between them you are touching the people at each table, no social distancing, no mask from staff or customers. The few waitresses that had a mask on had it pulled down under the chin. Never got food after waiting over an hour and drinks were watered down.
Im from chicago my family took me out to see the night life there. Its a nice place but need to be more organized. Some people had on mask and some didnt thats coolThe major thing that had me concerned if your place is serving food please cover the customers food when possible. Its too many people blowing smoke and talking over the people food and the servers didnt know what table to go to so now your food is cold. The ventilation needs to address I know its cigar lounge but when you add hookah as well its just too much smoke and plus a mask. But over all the people definitely was enjoying themselves.....
Tonight was my first time here, they had a special for $2 tacos and $2 Long Islands. The pepper steak taco was amazing. It had great flavor, the chicken was not the best. Im glad it was only $2. I did like my drink, our server was very attentive and friendly. She answered all of our questions and we never had to look for her. The DJ was cool, he played a good variety of music and he did a whole set of 90s music which is cool with me, because Im over 30. I will dedinitely be back!
The website said they offer social distancing; that was untrue, the tables are tiny and the space is tight. We went to see Carl Thomas and he performed for around 30 minutes.Only half of the staff had on masks and those who did, did not have them over their mouth properly! We asked our waitress several times to please pull up her mask while talking to us.I assume the positive reviews are fake or before covid. I would not recommend during a pandemic. The drinks are overpriced and completely watered down! The food never arrived.
Awesome place definitely for the adult grown and nature crowd definitely needed when we are at a time when majority of established push the adult crowd out to cater to the likes of the twerk crowd, the cropped wheres people stand on the furniture etc. This establishment was none of the likes of this everyone was behaving as civilized skills with self respect and I definitely appreciate that and will support this business
My first time being at this place and I will “NOT” be returning. El DeBarge was 2 hours late, the service was horrible. It took an hour and a half to get your food, the waitress was horrible, we had to go and find her several times and was told we would have to wait, we ordered drinks and finally had to go to the bar to get them, when our food came it was cold. We also had to go to the bar for napkins for our drinks. Only the V.I.P. Section had actual glasses, everyone else had cheap plastic cups and plastic utensils. The ladies bathroom was absolutely horrifying, trash cans running over on the floor, the actually had a roll of toilet paper on the counter for you to dry your hands instead of paper towels. There was an employee sitting in the bathroom on her phone blocking one of the stall and had to be asked to move. This is not the spot for entertainment because a lot of the seating you can not see the stage

The venue itself is nice...if u can tolerate the smoke that comes from the cigar bar when people enter/exit. The food/service was good. As for the Tank concert...BIG disappointment! The venue advertised that the concert would be from 9pm-10pm but the artist didnt make it to the stage until 9:45. The concert was over by 10pm and unfortunately consisted more of a pre-recorded track with the artist chiming in with poor sound quality. Finally, Id like to suggest that you designate an area for the standing room only patrons that does not block the stage view for reserved seating patrons. I do like the venue and have seen improvements over my last few visits. I particularly noticed that the food was being served in a timely manner. BIG shout out to the bartenders!!!
It’s a beautiful space. Great customer service. I came for the free buffet and some drinks but I wanted to order something on the menu and I was not able to order until 9pm. Time stamped at 6:30pm, buffet started at 5. It said free parking on their flyer. But it turned out to be $10 to park.
Went to this place and bought 2 Coronas and one shot of the cheapest tequila and paid 40.00. The waitress said they take their own tip. But then still wait to be tipped again after that. At that point I assumed they are stealing ppl money very easily by each waitress comes with a different price. I will probably never visit this place again. I dont like ppl who lie.
2nd time here... It was Friday night & the vibe, the buffet, live music, drinks were all so good. The servers were great and the best hookah Ive ever had at a lounge. The down side they charge 3.75% when you pay with a card..thats just greedy they have more than enough business to not charge for cards and even if they did absolutely NO MERCHANT charges them that percentage. Theyre just milking their customers.
Definitely wasnt social distancing, the Lady at the Door was only nice to People who actually paid for the Concert seats, and to be honest if I didnt drive so far and really love Silk I would have left. However my server that night in the first room was nice, and my food was good.
After a 2 hour wait for dinner I was told that the order was never made because they ran out of steak. Shameful as a black person trying to support black-owned the service was terrible. One bartender which was not attentive to her customers. Despite multiple request for status updates on the ordered meal she did not follow-up.Absolutely terrible service.
Price gouging - I visited on 3/6/21. They charged $60 as the entry fee. There were barely any people there. We tried to at least enjoy the ambience since there were no patrons but were off put by the prices. The drinks were expensive but the shocker was an order of wings for $25. Horrible experience!
I waited over an hour for a crabcake and attended a reserved party of 25 that also had to wait on foodAnd/or Received cold food with 18% gratuity. The manger sends his wait staff to to rectify instead to being a leader and correcting the issue. The DJ isProbably the only saving grace.
Great location, spacious and nice venue. They must work on their service. The waitress we had was VERY rude and unprofessional so we moved to a seat at the bar. The bartender had her back to us and did not acknowledge us. After 20 min and multiple attempts to get her attention we left. This place is nice and gaining popularity. They need better trained waitstaff and bartenders to handle the volume of crowds they are attracting.
First time I visited this establishment was December 2019 had a great time then. Went again went Dec 11, 2020 to see Dwele LIVE was a great grown & sexy time. For the mature crowd. Location and building great but staff do too much, my Fiancé tried to stop a waiter to get me water but she snatched away from him. I guess the waitresses in ATL thinks everyone wants to holler only downside is the staff had it not been for the staff the woild have gotten 5 stars thats the scene here tho honestly. I pregame so I dont have to beg a waitress for a drink.
I should have known this place was a problem. I called and emailed Monticello about 10 times to inquire about bringing a cake and no one ever responded to me. I get there for a Biggie party and the line was unorganized. The security is a joke. They could not control the crowd, made people wait outside for no apparent reason. Everything was disorderly. Finally I spoke with a Manager by the name of Holly, thank God for her. She was the only one who had sense. She told me to be patient, looked up my name and assisted me and my friends to our PAID table. Once seated we ordered food for all five of us. Two hours later food came out for only one person. The waitress let that one person have her food for free and the rest of us just starved. This place has potential but I dont think I would go here again unless they get new security or someone to better organize large events. This was unacceptable for someone who paid for a table.
Customer service was HORRIBLE. First time there was last night. We only had 1 drink we got from the bar when we came in. Well we sat at table finally. We ordered 2 things of french fries. Just fries now. 30 minutes nothing. One of the patrons with me went and asked. Theyre coming she said. Another waitress came by. We asked about the fries. Told her the person who took our order and everyone made a face., let me find her. No one ever would come back with a 3minute order of fries. Well we moved to front area after a hour of nothing, then told the person up front. She said let me get them.. Ill be right back. Ten minutes nothing. Then I asked for manager. A guy went to check. 20 more minutes yall nothing. Then when our car was ready, i went t back to him and he was like let me go get them. The door hostess or whatever she was was all in the police officers lap playing. No concern. I told him never mind man. I said thats sad and really poor service for 3 orders of fries and then 2 because one person had left. Then we asked for just one to share. While I had been waiting to get there because I live way in Loganville, this was poor service. Loved the club itself the split rooms. But your service was HORRIBLE.
This cigar lounge use to be awesome but now is AWFUL DONT GO! I purchase shrimp for 12.00 and they gave me 5 small shrimp that was fried hard!! Also now they use counters on there alcohol beverages so you only get a small amount of alcohol with a lot of ice! And finally check your receipt because they charge for using your debit card and gratuity is include.
So on Friday 12/18/2020 my mother, myself and a couple of friends came to Monticello’s we asked the lady at the front door can we sit anyway and she said yes so we sat close to the stage and our waitress was named Quisha H. So at first we didn’t pay it any attention but she kept going to the guys that was sitting next to us overlooking us and when I finally got her attention I ordered a Circo punch, my mom ordered a glass of wine, my friends ordered circo punch and something to eat. So after seeing Quisha H walked past our table about four or five times we stopped her and asked her about how much longer will it be before the drinks come? Quisha H said she had forgot to put our order in and to give her a second. Then I asked her about the hookah and she said she would send someone to me so ok the hookah girl comes over ( short brownskin young lady) I ordered a peach hookah and when it got the hookah it wasn’t smoking right so when I went to let the young lady know she came over with an attitude switched out the holes and bring it back ok so it still wasn’t pulling right and I let her know and again her attitude was unbelievable but I just kept the hookah and 15 minutes later her comes Quisha with the 1st round of drinks we ordered that wasn’t made right but ok maybe every club makes the circo punch different and then comes the food. And then 20 minutes later Quisha H tells us we have to move because someone paid $500 for our four sets nevertheless we end up and to get the manager involved and he told us we didn’t have to move. Ok so I ordered a sex on the beach with apple circo and AGAIN the drink wasn’t made right and it took 20 minutes after she forgot to put in the drink order again and I did let her know that and she explained that the circo isn’t imported so maybe that’s why the drink tasted different. At this point we were kinda over the Monticello experience. Not to mention that after the ticket came the tickets was wrong and after telling her a few times she saw it was wrong and fixed it. This wasn’t my first time partying here considering I’m coming from conyers but this is my second time having a not so good experience here but it was my friends first time-and they have decided to not come back.
Let me start off by saying this place has the potential to be great, however they need a lot of work. My husband and I went here on a Friday night! I seen their regular menu and wanted to try the food. The parking is horrible... they have velvet but it’s so hard to see where the line starts that people just end up parking themselves. We parked in the back of the building and it was quite a long walk to the entrance. The Monticello is in a plaza with other establishments, which they specific have signs that say no Monticello parking! We get to the door and there is a cover of $20 per person! (Def not worth $20 to get in) it’s cash only by the way so be sure to get it before you come because the ATM machine they have inside is a nightmare to use. Once we got in, we were told the only places we could sit was the lounge area or the cigar lounge due to a ton of bday parties in the entertainment room. We walked around for a bit unable to find an open table, I asked the hostess how does seating work... she stated whatever is open you can take it or put your name on the waiting list to be seated! Let me just tell you... the wait list is pointless... if anyone walks in and gets to a seat before you... then oh well. After a certain point they stopped looking at the waiting list all together! My husband and I after 2 hrs of standing finally was able to sit down! They have no time limits on tables and they let so much money walk out the door. People pay $20 to get in and buy one drink and take up the table for hours... by that time the people that actually wanted to spend money on food and drinks have walked out the door. Anywho, once we sat down it took a while to get our menus. We finally order the food was good. The DJ was great he played a variety of new and classic hits! I won’t say don’t go... I will just say ask question before paying the $20 especially if you’re trying to sit down to eat.
Never in my life.... have I paid for a table and still had to wait inline.. I was there for the Biggie event Allstar weekend. I couldn’t believe they kept us in line for hour!!! They need to hire managers that know what they’re doing. I will not be returning..I guess when you come outside the perimeter things are ran different....

2022-03-29Ive been here a total of three times and each time has not disappointed me. This place it has a lot of eye candy and the staff is usually so down-to-earth and friendly. I decided to go on Sunday for the first time for brunch and karaoke and I had a blast. I love the ambience of the space and that they had a gorgeous patio where all the fly guys were. I think Im almost in love with the place because it gives you different things to do at once if youre bored. Because of Sunday karaoke, they seat you with any random people but I ended up loving the girl I sat with. The first thing she recommended was the lobster macaroni and jerk egg rolls. I followed her lead and my God it was soooo good that I ordered another round to-go for both so that I can have some for the work week. Outstanding job on food .... I had never had jerk egg rolls and they set the bar. The mac and cheese was super creamy, soft & cheesy while the fried lobster tails was buttery and melted in my mouth. Oh and I forgot that I ordered a side of collard greens but I must say that was very Tangy, Sweet and too vinegary for my liking but I ate it anyway because its healthy and it could have been worse. I had about four drinks so they could work on that because I didnt feel s***. Needless to say I spent about $200 just on myself... LOL I will be back.

2022-05-07I had a great time and experience here firstly every Friday theres free entry and buffet before 8pm! You just have to RSVP the food was good, crab legs and shrimp amaaaazing! The comedy show was cool funny people performed and DJ for the dance floor was on point I dont drink alcohol but there were a few folks with drinks seemed like they enjoyed. Overall great experience if your celebrating on occasion or just want to hang out. The crowd was mixed mostly middle age a few (younglings 21+ lol)

2021-10-23I celebrated part two of my birthday at this venue. I really didn’t know what to expect because there are so many layers to this establishment. There was a comedy show and dinner in one room, a quiet cigar space, and then a loud club room. It was a Friday night, and the place became thicker by the minute. There is no way there could be fast service, right? Wrong! I had a hookah within 10 minutes. Drinks within that time. And when I ordered the braised short ribs and grits entree, it was on my table within 15 minutes. However, I couldn’t eat it. I was up dancing! The DJ was amazing! When I did sit to bite into it, I couldn’t believe it! It was one of the best-tasting dishes I’ve had around! The ribs are super tender and the sauce is thick. I think there is some sweetness to the grits (which I love) but it’s balanced by some crispy onions sprinkled on top. And it’s a great serving too. I didn’t finish it all. My husband let me try his salmon dish, and again, I was blown away. I was not expecting such delicious food at all. I just thought we were going to yet another cigar bar in the city…but this place is on steroids. There is something for everyone. I will definitely return…even if it’s just to get some great food to go.

2022-03-06The size of the venue is amazing. The staff and management were friendly and gracious. We went for Friday happy hour. Reserved a table and stayed for the comedy and ended the night in their cigar bar. We had a wonderful time!! The food is really good as well. They do have a free parking deck but we choose valet which during the early evening was 20 bucks. Not sure if it goes up as the evening progresses. We will definitely be back.

2021-09-25Pros:I love with this place!!! Date nights, mini concerts, and a whole vibe. It’s rare to find a place for couples. Singles, girls night, special guests, older crowd all in one spot and it’s not weird. You feels private vibe and the staff is pretty attentive. I hate being somewhere and I haven’t seen anyone for 30 mins. This place is on it.Cons: There is parking but it’s around the building. If you don’t want to walk then valet is available for like $20 bucks or so.Overall: Still no complaints because it is worth it from the valet, AMAZING food (try the salmon) and the service, the various lounges in one, etc.One of the best spots in the area.

2022-04-25I had some friends come into town and we all wanted to go somewhere that was grown and nice, so we decided on Monticello. I made a reservation for 4 and paid $150 for a table that came with a sampler plater and balloon decorations. To start off, when you walk in the area where the reserved tables are, the carpet is filthy. The tables are small and cramped together, which makes it uncomfortable. Our reservation was for 4 but the table only had two sets of silverware. It seemed to be only one waitress for that area and she was slow. The food on the sampler plater was over cooked. When my food came from the kitchen it was just warm so I had to send it back so they could reheat it. We asked if we could have a glass of water and was told that they are not allowed to give glasses of water, but we could buy a bottle of water for $3. The bathroom needs some serious attention as it looked old and dirty (and had an older lady as the bathroom attendant). The dress code was stated to be business casual, strictly enforced. Not true. There were females in there with jean shorts on and flip flops. Men with ripped up jeans, but I guess since they put on dress shoes that makes it business casual.... There is an area in there where you are allowed to smoke cigars and the area we were in allowed you to smoke hookah, however some people decided to smoke cigarettes. The DJ had to make an announcement telling people that they were not allowed to smoke cigars in that section and that cigarettes werent allowed. The smell at this point was so thick and irritating it just turned us off even more. So, out of all the places I took my girlfriends to this weekend, Monticellos was the worst and the only one that I paid a reservation for. If youre looking for somewhere nice and grown to go, Monticellos is not the place. They need to do some serious upgrading.

2022-04-12Visited this place for a comedy show (free), my wife and I had a good time, there were some brilliant comedians, a pretty good DJ as well, they had servers to get your drink orders, probably not enough for the volume of people in the place but they were pleasant and timely enough for being short staffed. They had a pretty nice balcony and cigar lounge, this place will be great to visit when the weather starts to warm. I did order 2 drinks, and have a shot of patron purchased, the drinks were also supposedly made with patron, the morning after let me know I wasnt served patron, so Id watch the drinks being made if youre ordering premium alcohol .

2022-03-15Monticello gets a lot of attention and traction because out of the lounges to go in the Marietta Cobb county area its one of the better places to go. The drinks are always strong but the service is definitely choppy on certain days specifically sundays brunch outside on the patio area. The hookah is overpriced but the food is definitely good and the drinks. I think thats the reason why a lot of us keep going there. It is a good place to take your lady depending on a specific comedy show and they typically have good music. Be mindful they have certain days where they have comedy shows parties certain sections roped off and there could be a cover charge.

2022-04-10Wonderful night out. The buffet was good. The drinks were were good too. The staff was very attentive as well. The parking area is small. Might have to wait for a space. No coverage charge before 8p. YAY! Will come again.
