Bring water shoes!!! And you will have the best day. Get there early on the weekends. The water is cool and feels great on a hot summer day. The swimming area is large and gets super deep. Our family loves it. Plenty of shady areas to picnic. We’ve rented kayaks and had fun exploring the lake. They also have paddle boards for rent- including a party paddle boat which looked fun and held 4-6 people. They have floats, grilling stuff, water shoes and snacks/drinks for sale.
Super nice campground manager. Sites are wooded and nicely spaced. Several of them are along the lakeshore. Cleanest bathrooms Ive seen and the fire ring was even cleared of ashes. Felt very safe. I recommend this place for everyone, including those with disabilities. I slept in a tent but not all sites are equally nice for tents. Some are better suited for campers/trailers.great experience over all!
This place is pure divine serenity! Stayed for 3 nights loved the lake and the views!Bathrooms and shower areas are in tip top shape and well maintained. They have firewood and ice ready available for you as well.I definitely plan to come back to this wonderful place! I had such a great time and left feeling completely refreshed!
Since the cradle of forestry took over this campground has improved by leaps and bounds. Very clean, quiet, and friendly atmosphere. Many rv spots, walk in sites available, showers, bathrooms, a beach, picnic area, trails, and lakefront campsites. There is a back area that is not as well maintained nor near the lake, but is usually quieter. Stays pretty busy through the summer break, holidays are almost impossible to get unless you reserve wayyyy in advance.
Morganton Point campground is one of our favorites! Its a small campground, but the sites are very spacious and private. The public bathhouses are cleaned throughout the day and are always in good condition. A number of sites are waterfront with easy access and theres a mix of electric/non-electric sites throughout. Weve been there 5-7 times and the hosts are always great as well. We love it here!
Pristine, new bathhouse thats well cleaned and very nicely maintained camp sites. There are many lakeside tent sites and a few RV lakefront sites. RV sites not right on the lake do have somewhat of a view with plenty of room and both 30 & 50 amp electric, plus water. Friendly, gracious Hosts will even deliver ice & firewood to your campsite 😊. Watch signs very carefully to arrive here lol. Its a little tricky the first visit!
This is a cute yet fairly small beach to spend a day at. Perfect for the kiddos. It has an amazing mountain view with lots of rentals available. They have $5 (cash) limited parking. Some dislikes were that the sand covering the concrete was very thin for the kids the play in, build castle, etc. and the walk into the water without water shoes was brutal. Other than that Id definitely recommend. The camp grounds are nice and well kept.
The pros: (1) nice bath house and personally I like the timed push button for the shower. No wasting water. (2) The lake and the very interesting rocks on the shoreline. The cons: There were a lot of barking dogs in the campground during our two night stay. I suppose the host could have addressed it, but its really a lack of consideration for others by the dog owners.
We stayed one night here and it was just so beautiful! Quiet and peaceful. The lady at the booth was very nice to us. We are younger in our mid 20s and reading the reviews about being watched and fined for little things had me worried. Not that we do anything illegal! Dont let the comments keep you from staying. It was just fine! We stayed by the lake. The campgrounds are very clean and well managed. We loved how clean the bathroom was! Shower was warm! Did not mind the water timer shutting off every 15 secs or so. Saves water. 👍
My boyfriend and I came here for my 21st birthday. We stayed at site 14. Check in was no hassle and the staff was friendly. Our site was a stones throw away from the lake with an amazing view. They also have a day use area with a beach on the lake if your interested in swimming and relaxing in the sand. They have paddleboards and kayaks for rent, although Im not sure how much they charge. There are on site bathrooms, which are the cleanest bathrooms and shower I have ever seen a campsite have. As mentioned in previous posts, no alcohol is allowed on the property. You can always go to Blue Ridge (about 20 minutes away) and enjoy some of the bar life if you really insist on drinking (just dont drink and drive of course). It was a really nice and peaceful stay, and I will definitely make my way back there again.
Small beach area but plenty of shore line to get in and swim. Very clean and quiet.. everyone seemed to respect each other with as in not a lot of screaming and hollering and giving plenty of personal space for such a small recreation area. Tubes and Kayaks are available to rent there along with some Mayfields Ice Cream.
Very rude staff that are clearly stealing money from the first come first serve pay envelopes and if youre a disabled veteran with the America the beautiful pass they will lie and tell you it doesnt apply to them because they want the cash you put in the envelope. We only stayed one night due to this and at 7 am before check out came knocking on our door demanding more money even though we had paid and was leaving.
Clean and private campsites (some of them are private), friendly and helpful staff but they have a no alcohol rule. Great for family but if youre looking to take a trip with the boys to get away from the wife and kids and you enjoy a pour, or 8, this may not be the place for you. However, we did take the no alcohol rule as more of a suggestion to not act up and keep the drinking low key. We had no issues. We are all 40+ and forgot how to have fun at least a decade ago. Great place as long as youre not 20 something looking to go get tore up with a bunch of friends.
Giving this rating due to misleading/false advertising on their kayak rental rates. Their website clearly states $35 for 2 hours and lists single and double kayaks as choices. When you get here they say it’s $35 PER PERSON for the double kayak, when clearly that’s nowhere on their website. I’ll post a screenshot if Google will allow it. Spoke with the manager on duty who called her supervisor, and the supervisor stated they would not honor what’s on the website, however they would change the language on the website tomorrow. It would’ve been so easy for them to honor what is on the website until they can change it, but they didn’t.
The roads to the campsite are a little rough, but it wouldn’t be camping if you didn’t smack your head one good time on the side of your car. Bathroom/shower facility was clean, modern, and will lit. Staff was very nice - they even delivered firewood to us upon request. Pricing was very reasonable, as well. We’ll definitely be back when we plan another trip to Blue Ridge.
This place is a slice of heaven on earth! This was our first visit and we already have a reservation for next month. The lake view is gorgeous. The fishing is fantastic. The sites are clean and the bath house is state of the art with hot showers, extra clean facilities, and even heated lighting. The staff were exceptional in friendliness as well as helpfulness as we had RV mechanical issues and they were right there with us as we were troubleshooting the problem. Couldnt ask for nicer folks or a better park. Didnt give it 5 stars only because sites werent level. But miner compared to the spectacular stay. Definitely one of our top 5 favorites!
This campsite was PERFECT! Beautiful views, clean site and bathroom. This site had everything from private lake access near your site, public beach access even firewood and s’mores delivery to your tent. Shout out to RD and Robert, camp hosts, for adding to this trip and making our stay spectacular. We felt extremely welcome and we will most definitely return.
This campground was a wonderful place to visit for the weekend. The staff was extremely nice and very helpful. We stayed at campsite #8 which is across from the lake. Its a very tight spot to get into (we have a 28ft travel trailer) but the staff was so nice and helped us get parked (late at night). The bathrooms were very clean! The only thing Id say is that the showers are on a 30sec shutoff system...and you have to continually push the button to keep the water flowing. Plus you cannot control the water temp. However this didnt bother us much so I still wanted to give them a 5 star rating. The lake was a beautiful sight to wake up to in the morning. Well definitely be back! I would recommend campsite 9 as its right on the lake and a double site :))) thank you Morganton Point Campground staff for the wonderful experience!
Bathrooms we booked by are closed. So thats disappointing. The lot we booked is flooded so we are having to level and open storage in a foot of water in some spots. We could move if we wanted Im sure, but we have already set up and dont want to relevel and all that, easy fix. Have a drain where the water puddles ups, its not a small puddle. Dont rent lot 26 is all I would suggest the rest of the grounds are great.
Robert, one of the campground hosts, is one of the nicest, helpful people. He is always checking on everyone. This being my friend and I’s first time camping (by ourselves), we could not get our fire to stay lit the first night. The second day, Robert comes by and helps us out, shows us a few techniques and starts us a fire. By nighttime, we had built our own roaring fire by ourselves. Definitely will be coming back due to the friendly host, clean bathrooms, clean campgrounds, beautiful area, and positive experience.
Spent a nice weekend at the camp site. It was quiet and fairly private. I loved the location and had fun Kayaking in Blue Ridge Lake. The camp host were blunt but nice, no southern charm there. The only downside I found, that will directly influence me coming back was the bathrooms. They were clean and modern. But some one had the not so bright idea to install 15 sec shut-off valves on all the showers so you spent most of your shower time hitting the button. And the water temp was just a hair over room temperature, with no way to increase. If I wanted to take a cold shower with limited water I would have gone primitive camping and saved my money. Over all nice place to stay if you like cold showers and scenic views.
I have been here a couple times. It is absolutely beautiful. We drove up this weekend not knowing if they had a camp site available but hoped they did. They did and we were right on the water and were able to put our kayaks in right from our campsite. The campground is the cleanest Ive seen. The couple are sweet people too. We paid for firewood and ice and they brought it to our campsite which was very appreciated. We definitely will be back again.
Beautiful sandy beach along with the blue lake water and mountain range in the background. The hosts are very helpful and the campground is one of the cleanest I have ever seen. Bath houses are very clean the only complaint is that the water timers are mixed up, so the sinks run longer than the shower stalls.
Loved the campground. Was clean and well kept up. Campground hosts met us as soon as well pulled in and immediately led us to our site and helped to make sure we were settled in. Will deliver fire wood and ice directly to your site. Water level was down and was a cold rainy weekend, but it was beautiful. If you stay in site L1-1 bring blocks to level because it has a decent slope that will need leveling on the low side.
The beach is super rocky wear your water shoes. The water itself is somewhat clear. You can rent kayaks and buy floaties ice cream and treats. Fee is 5 bucks a day to park. The young adults that worked were nice and polite. The older adults that worked the parking area could take a lesson from them.
Awesome! Found the perfect get-a-way few days campground!! Campsites are nice;especially, the ones on the water. Able to take boat and Keep-er-Wet in the water near campsite. Water is beautiful. Bathrooms are very clean with the just right water temp for shower. Will definitely be going again and as much as possible; as I said, perfect get-a-way
The only thing I that was bad for me personally was walking into the water, you walk on all rocks and many rocks was sharp and big. You MUST wear water shoes and get to the point it was over your head so you wont trip on tbe large rocks. But the rest was beautiful and enjoyable. I would prefer if wanting to grill that those areas be closer to the beach area and not have to walk as far as you do to it. But has rentals to enjoy in the water and snacks and drinks are available to purchase and other things you might need, that was wonderful!!!
Clean place. We stayed here on our way down to Appalachian Trail hike. About an hour away. Paved roads. Nice warm bathrooms with warm showers as well. Park ranger came to talk to us and hear our story when we got all set up. Offered to get us some firewood on his cart. Friendly staff.
Morganton Point is slightly difficult to find based on the location of the signs leading in from route 60. However, once we figured out our mistake and got onto the right road, it was not difficult to find. The recreation area is clean and inviting. Its very nice that there is public access to restrooms, changing areas, and showers. Having the option to rent kayaks and rafts is also a great amenity. We lost track of time because we enjoyed swimming and taking in the beautiful mountain views.
I grew up swimming here, but its now run by a private company (who are rude and generally have zero concern with helping their customers) because the Forest Service is too inefficient to handle it. Not recommended, but one of the few places accessible on Blue Ridge Lake for those who arent wealthy. Be sure you dont have more than two cars at your camp sight at night. At 10 oclock sharp the Nazis who run the place go around on thier golf carts trying to ruin peoples day and demanding they move their cars. Ridiculous!
Amazing management and staff! Stayed in 14 no one near us and right on the lake. They management is so caring the gave use heaters and wood and always checked in on us since we were a group of 19-21yr olds. Dont listen to the bad reviews they will take care of all your needs with a smile in there face (even helped me get my keys out of my locked car 2x) the water was beautiful and a great view of the mountains. Will always come back and stay here. Thank you both very much K & R.
This place has very friendly campground hosts and, hands down, the cleanest showers & bathroom Ive seen in camp grounds in years. The water was close by - depending on the reservoir level youll have really close access or a little bit of a walk to swim. There is a sandy beach a short hike away.
Phenomenal place. We have been camping there twice now and will continue to visit. RD, one of the gentlemen at the campgrounds was a tremendous host. Extremely friendly and attentive. The facility is very well maintained with clean bathrooms and camping areas. Several of the sites have lake access.
The lake is beautiful but we will never be going back. We got fined $990 for 3 open beers. Theres plenty of other campgrounds in north Georgia that are just as beautiful and with a lot less interaction with the park employees. The park employees drive by too frequently, turning a relaxing weekend into a highly-monitored and less fun event. We were not being loud or unruly. I am extremely disappointed.
I love Morganton Point - I really dont understand the negative comments. its a state run park - no alcohol. Its plain and simple. Everybody doesnt drink alcohol and do not like being around alcohol and having to listen to loud obnoxious people who are intoxicated! What you do in your tent/camper is your business, but no one else wants to listen to you! We have camped here many times - we are adults and realize rules are in place for a reason and dont have a problem obeying RULES. We have never had a problem with the current hosts or hosts in past years. The campground is lovely, however, some of the sites are a bit tight for a travel trailer or RV, hence, only 4 stars. To the person who camped at Whispering Pines - I hope you enjoyed that. The campers are packed in like sardines - and dogs bark and run loose. The bathhouse is disgusting. Im pretty sure the last time we camped there someone was selling drugs out of the camper next to us. We had to complain several times about loud music.
Great place to go camping and boating. Very clean, camp site and restrooms and showers. Staff was very courtious and helpful. We were two familys staying in tents. Spent two nights. They had it where we could leave our boats in the water next to our campsite overnight. Very highly recommend
We simply fell in love with this place. As it was our first time visiting, we called and spoke with Jennifer over the phone & she was so helpful & gave us better directions than the gps. Once we arrived she was so informative of the surrounding area & even had brochures of things to do. RD, another amazing host, showed us to our site and was so helpful with backing our 5th wheel up, as the site we were on was a little slanted backing in but leveled out. He even brought the wood & ice we ordered right to our site. By far the cleanest and friendliest campground we have ever visited. And I must say that RD and Jennifer take pride in working hard to make Morganton Point a must visit campground and it clearly shows. Blue Ridge is right up the road and there are several local restaurants that are a must try. We enjoyed Southern Charm, a nice southern style restaurant with amazing biscuits with hot homemade apple butter. We will definitely be back. Hoping to book in spring or summer as Jennifer explained the lake was controlled by the Blue Ridge Dam & is lower in the fall but in spring the water is right up to the sites, perfect for jet skis, kayaks, or your boat. We can not wait to return.
Beautiful views of the lake, beach access, shaded sites with plenty of privacy, our 33 ft class A motorhome fit perfectly fine with to spare. We were pleased to have such wonderful helpful hosts, loved the beautiful new bath house, and were so close to all things Blue Ridge, Ga has to offer! We will definitely be back for the Apple Festival and to see the leaves change in the fall .
Just finished camp hosting at Morganton Point! What a wonderful experience!! The camp managers, Jennifer and RD were great managers to work for! The whole area is so beautiful. The guests were friendly and cooperative! If you are considering camp hosting, this would be a great place to go!!
Nice place to swim and relax. There are tons of rocks in the lake which we are not used to being in Florida. I recommend wearing water shoes. You can rent kayaks-not sure of the price. We were able to purchase 2 inner tubes for $10 and they will inflate at no extra charge. There is a small beach area. There are also picnic tables and grills. Will definitely go back.
Its like a prison they lock you up inside the camp ground at 10 p.m & open back up @ 7 a.m. its like a old folks home as well they tell you light out ever night, no music as well. The host are very noisy, I have never seen a camping ground like this. I will never be back to this camp ground facility again, I do not recommend to anyone!
Since the Cradle took management of this park it is astounding how much difference a little bit of caring can go. Everytime we camp, there has been a new improvement. We were surprised this year how well maintained the grounds are, even with the leaves falling. RD & Jenn are an amazing team and represent Cradle in their standards of how things are ran. We like the self service change this year, and really loved the fact that they will bring wood to your site. The other staff are great too, Russle and Jan. Just wanted to say thank you Cradle for your above and beyond turn a round of Morganton Point. It is truly a wonderful camping experience.
Beautiful grounds, kind of hard to find. There isnt much near the entrance, but about 8-10 minutes away is a wal mart and home depot. The bath house was phenomenal. The camp sites were kept clean and the staff were very friendly, when you could find them. Will definitely visit again soon
Beautiful scenery. We did a last minute camp trip and the only spots available were 1 and 20. We took 20. Its right near the entrance and the caretakers. Next time we will plan ahead and get a much more scenic spot on the water. Ours didnt have water or electric, but was level and fine for our tent. The host/caretakers really keep a close eye on everything and even the sheriff made a round. Overall a very quiet place. The campground was full on Saturday and still it didnt feel like it. Its not a party place full of wild drunken people and in fact, there is no alcohol allowed. The toilet facilities were good. Maybe a little on the small side since the one in the middle only had one toilet and 2 urinals.... it could be a problem. There is another one on up the hill that has the showers. We didnt use this one though so I have no idea how large it was.I was a bit disappointed how hard it is to fish on this lake though. We walked the trail and its very wooded all around the lake except one or two places where you can drop a line. Even there... its easy to catch some tree fish. We didnt catch a thing except a pine tree. Im sure there are other places that are easier to fish, but we didnt have the time and it wasnt that important. This place isnt as secluded as it lets on to be. There is a dollar general right up the road and a duncan donuts a little further up on the main hwy. Its nice to be able to get something 10 minutes away when you need it. The area is so beautiful and the people are really nice too. We even had 60 degree mornings in JULY!
The beach is quite rocky and not pleasant on the bare feet, however the camp sites are spacious and gorgeous! You should reserve a site here first as my wife and I did not and were forced to move. No hiking close by, but if you are up for a 15-30 min. drive hiking can be found. All in all Morganton was a pleasant getaway from the big city.
Just used the beach, which is the only public one anywhere near Blue Ridge. Water was great for kids swimming. Beach and water are rock-laden and I recommend use of water shoes. Would really like to see some effort to remove rocks/weeds from the beach. Fishing was allowed off to the side of the swimming area. We were there early in the week and basically had the place to ourselves. A lot more people on Friday (as one would expect). Facilities are basic but very clean. $5 per car is a great value for the money.
I do not recommend this location to my fellow LGBTQ friends. We were targeted the minute we arrived on Memorial Day weekend. We are an older group that just wanted to wade in the water with our pool noodles. We follow the rules and we keep to ourselves. On a holiday weekend, yes, we all had a can of beer in our hands (covered in koozies). I am not somebody who hits the lake often, Im more of a beach girl, so I did not know that you cannot have alcohol on property. There were no signs. No biggie, right? Instead of simply asking us to put it back in our cars, we were harassed to the point that we had to leave. We were mortified in front of everybody in the water. The gentleman with NO identification, badge, etc. pointed at each of us one by one saying You! You! You! etc loudly in front of everybody and then berated us simply for having beer. He said, The ranger is on his way and Im doing you a HUGE favor by making you go dump that beer right now! He spoke to all of us (in our 40s) as though we were children. He was aggressive and threatening. Completely unacceptable. All he had to do was ask and we gladly would have obliged. This gentleman has a bad accent, a Napoleon complex, and a fake fishing hook on his baseball cap. Get over yourself, my friend.
Morganton Point is a gem of a place to gain access to Lake Blue Ridge. We use is as a launch site for paddling on a regular basis. There are plenty of tables for picnics, during the season there are rafts and boats for rent. The area is nice, typically not overrun with people, and worth the trip.
Beautiful Lake Blue Ridge and the Chatahoochee National Forest make a great setting for the Campground at Morganton Point. If you are a tent camper, you will love the number of waterfront sites. If you travel in a small RV there are several great sites to accommodate your rig.Kayaking on the lake is terrific. Blue-green clear water with trees spilling down to the waters edge. Beautiful scenery good put in points, a sandy beach and boat launch. There is also a day-tripper area with picnic pavillions and a bath house (small fee for parking).
A couple or quick things.1. I do not write many reviews2. Generally, I at least attempt not to be a hateful asshat3. When something sucks, it sucksI had not been to Morganton Point in about 8 years. It was a beautiful place and still is. However, either ownership or managment or both has changed and not at all for the better. Sure, they updated the bathrooms and most of the sites now have water and electric hookups but all the amenities in the world wouldnt make up for the lousey atmosphere created the moment you set foot in the park. If youre a younger person expect to be treated like youre from Neptune. Price was $18 per night for walk in camp sites which seemed high considering we were given a laundry list of rules by which to abide. Some were simple like pick up your trash and keep food put away. Others were kind of dumb like your Corgi must be kept tied up at all times, no exeptions! We were also told that all alcohol was prohibited in camp.. not on the lake, in the camp itself. Anyway, my party and I nodded politely and paid their fees and tried to get settled in, tried being the key word. Not even an hour into our setting up, the host were down at our site haranging us about every little thing, from the dog quietly lying in the shade under the picnic table to the age of our tent. Seriously. Anyway, three days was our limit and we all left pretty sour. Its a shame too, as this was once a very nice place to camp and swim. Hopefully managment will realize that people go camping to be left alone, not to be nitpicked until they lose the will to live. I hope this review helps.
HORRIBLE experience and we didnt even stay here. First of all if you want to drink, DO NOT choose this place. They will fine you over $300 per alcoholic beverage. She told us after we paid and said its non-refundable, and when we said she didnt say anything, she claimed she told us before we paid, which was untrue. They tried to put us on a rv (gravel) spot with no ability to put up a tent. Bathrooms were poorly maintained and they were completely rude and un-accommodating. Go to Whispering Pines, way better place!
Checked in about 8pm, then a few minutes later a truck with two people pulls up asking if Ive checked in. They didnt identify themselves, but proceeded to tell me I was supposed to knock on their door to check in. Its dark and Im by myself and the man speaking is rude telling me Ive checked in incorrectly (Ive camped in numerous campgrounds across the country, so I know I didnt miss something). Finally, the driver, his wife, turns on the truck cabin light so I can see who these people are. He then wants to see my pass and my discount pass. I show him both and he tells me they dont accept the America the Beautiful Pass and that I owe him another $9. Theres no hello, no trying to learn where Im coming from or going, just headlights in my face while explaining Im wrong. I asked for my money back and left.He didnt realize he scared me by pulling up at dark and not introducing himself or that a simple hello would have gone a long way in gaining my trust. Instead, he was rude and combative. This is the first national campground Ive encountered that doesnt take the America the Beautiful pass, that requires you to knock on the hosts door to check in, and has extraordinary rude hosts.I hope people have a better experience than I did, but I cant possibly recommend this campground while its operated by this company.
My single star is MY reaction to the entire experience and subsequent education on Forest Service policy. I did NOT have the opportunity to stay at the facility.Recreation.gov via phone call said openings (plural) and a specific site had to be drive up not a reservation until on site then I COULD reserve for the two weeks. Arrived two or three hours later a Camphost said there were no openings at all. (???) Also indicated that because my Access card wasnt pictured it wouldnt be accepted and even if it were, the discount would be 30% not 50%.I went elsewhere and eventually found out that Concession Contracts have authority to make decisions about amount or even accepting the cards even on Federal property. Finally, I found that a site may be listed as $20 but considered $10 camping and $10 for electricity. The former is allowed discount for the card, the latter is NOT (unless a concession place chooses to).
Rude staff. The lady also told us AFTER we paid that we werent allowed to drink and if we were caught drinking wed be fined 350$ per open alcoholic beverage. As we kindly told her we were going to go elsewhere, and asked for our money back she said it was not refundable. We then told her that we wished she would have told us about the drinking thing before we paid. She wouldnt even look at us and said I tried under her breath. It was a joke. Anyways, we went to Whispering Pines, and they were so much more laid back.
This place is horrible, hopefully this year will be better than last, the staff was rude/disrespectful , accused me of not paying when my pass was clearly in sight, motioned & yelled for me to leave the water with my family so i could get into my car and stick the pass in her face, the place was trashed & the water was filth. The prices also keep going up, not worth it.
Beautiful picknik areas, awesome views of lake blue ridge, their is a swim area,,,$5 fee to use patk, its a state park and camp, fee is cheap and worth it to have a nice area to be at for the day use,,its not worth trying to evade the pay fee.,,and the fee is what keeps park clean,.,recommend ,go and enjoy
The absolute worst place to visit if you take your dog swimming. Dogs are not allowed to get in at an easy access point even if your away from the beach. You have to go to the side with weeds to get in. First day we almost got bit by a snake the second day my dog got her foot sliced open really bad by a piece of glass. I would not recommend this place at all.
Not for RVs!! The few spots they have with electric are VERY hard to get into. They have taken out trees, but left the stumps and tried to cover with gravel which left a 2 foot mount to push the RV over. The other side of the road is a ditch - unavoidable for the front tires to drop into, so must have a 4 wheel! No dump station, and they have no idea where a local dump station is? This is a Nation Forest, but run by some private company now.
Water was very beautiful in the lake but had to carry camping water a long way said they was a hook up went to hook up would not hook up ask about it man was going to fix it but would not let him which I think we should have got a discount very rude the whole time there sorry but things could have been a little better
Staff will Lock the gate, trapping you in. As well as not let you get to your campsite that your paid for if you return or leave after 10PM!!!DO NOT GO HERE, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!Staff is very rude, and makes no effort to help!Look for public land, that is not run my crupt mangment!
The Care takers are kind of assholes! We had reserved our spot online and the lady couldnt find her sheet of our registration and she told us we had till 2pm to leave (the same day we arrived there). Then I showed her my email confirmation and she still said that it wasnt on her sheet even though the email I showed her said every detail of when I reserved it. what time, how much, etc. and water was low.
$5.00 I thought was a little high just to park not swim not camp just to park maybe just to visit friend or just look at lake, no drinking water available unless concession stand is open which it wasnt day I was there and if it was you would probably pay a triple price, mile long list of rules the attendant wasnt to friendly at first believe letting job go to his head, cost one dollar just to walk in but that wasnt posted on the board I wouldnt have known that if I hadnt ask even at that they got no parking sign all around so thats out unless someone brings you and lets you out hate to be so negative but hate to see things change from what it used to be Blue Ridge lake is beautiful place to visit been going there all my life.

2021-11-13Great view and on a cool day in November we were practically the only ones here. More hiking trails would be nice. The water level was VERY low, extending the rocky beach out 200 feet in places, and to a depth below the level of the concrete boat launch ramp.

2022-05-21Very nice, quiet campground right on Blue Ridge lake. Easy access to the drinking water, the beach and the lake. The squirrels are aggressive, any and all food must stay locked up at all times (in hard, locking plastic containers)

2021-08-26Beautiful Gem, in the North Georgia Mountains this national forest is so clean and they have everything you need for camping the only camp ground I know of that will deliver your ice and wood to your site, they even rent kayaks. Its a very quiet peaceful place to camp, and the sunsets are gorgeous.

2021-08-15Very astonishing place. Try to avoid when its too sunny. There is a separate area to swim. We didnt know about this area so went without spare clothes. Beautiful lake for Kayaking, Boat riding and swimming!

2021-06-17Parking becomes an issue around lunch but if u get lucky the $5 is worth the beautiful views and awesome beaches. Picnic tables make it easy to have lunch. Bring your floaties but if not there is a store for purchases and some rentals.

2022-05-15Nice campground with some excellent sites, several excellent for RVs & a few excellent only if you are in a tent. Good access to the lake from some sites, & from the beach area. Boat ramp available. I will return, but only with specific sites reservations, or mid-week.
