Positive: The worst hotel. They lost my room. They want give me a single bed. When me and my kids. When I order a room with double bed. The guy was mean to me at the hotel. Did not care.
Do not stay here! We needed a hotel to stay at when passing through. We got here around 1:00 am and saw several people out walking around. One guy followed us to our car. When we walked into our room, roaches and bugs scrambled everywhere. We turned right around and left.
Cockroaches in our room. Went back to the front desk and they gave us a different room and there was already people staying in the new room we were assigned. We left immediately.
Clean and affordable room price. Great friendly staff at the front desk. I would recommend this hotel on Victory Dr if you staying near Fort Benning.
You have its good and its bad. The bad is the owner the old man walks by along with his counter part and look and tare all in your windows and your vehicle this is not cool neither is this right. Not one time but many times. You in a car hes looking all in your car you speak to him he doesnt speak neither do his wife sister or whomever it is. Then when you tell them oh no no. This needs to stop its becoming an issue and if it keeps happening I will inform the police. Ive been here as an extended stay and that is not cool.
This place looks clean but they have problems with bug(roaches) I turned on the lights and saw a lot of baby roaches. They was even in the bed, I checked out that same evening. They didnt even ask me what was the problem! For almost $100 dollars you would expect better. I couldnt do a zero so I did a 1star

This is a amazing motel. The people that work here area very helpful. Pinki that works the front desk always has a smile on her face and is very helpful. The cleaning crew are very nice and helpful too. The rooms are clean and nice. Ive been here for a bit and I would recommend this motel to anyone. Great prices too on rooms. The realms are very small and though my sheets and blankets seem clean the rest of the room was kind of dirty. There was no microwave or refrigerator in the room either. There was definitely a lot of traffic there as well I wouldnt stay there again unless it was my only option.
Advertises pet friendly 2 pets up to 150 pounds. Would not let me book a room with a 45 pound dog and the woman at the counter laughed at me. Called corporate because I was under the impression that large pets are allowed at ALL Motel 6s and was informed that I’m correct. I should not have been denied and they are violating policy not letting me book with my service dog.
Rooms are very nice and clean, all the maids and other staff members are very helpfull. Pinki and Kethy are good desk clerk. Didnt find nothing wrong from room. I was here for vacation. We will come back for sure when we visit Columbus. Thank you very much for everything that you all did for us.

It was very disappointing to say the least. After reserving the room onliñe I called the desk I specifically said I needed a first floor room and was told ok, no problem. I asked if there was a refrigerator and microwave in the rooms and was told only in the 2nd floor rooms. I said ok, I can do without those because I need to be on the first floor. When we checked in I was told there were no first floor rooms available!! The lady working tried to resolve it but the only possible room to put me in was a single and I needed a double. So I get in the room upstairs and there is no microwave or fridge!! The bed sheets and pillow cases were dirty on one of the beds. The sink and shower both had hair in them and there was no other room was available to go into. This was by far my worst stay ever at any location.
The top cover on the bed had spots, looked dirty and the second room I changed to also had the same and burn marks on it. Their were dead bugs on the floor through out it and the shower wasnt clean. This happened in 2 of that I changed into. The only good thing was the staff.
I like everything about the room I live the location of the property I love the nice employees everything was nice ..! great staff, we arrived a bit early, but no problem , they manage our early check in very smoothly..! Awesome experience of motel 6 ..! We definitely returning back here ..! Thanks
This place is horrendous. The first thing that happened when I walked in was the smell of mold. The ac had mold in it and you could feel the bugs in the bed biting you as you were laying in it. The floor of the shower was dirty, the temperature of the water took long to change. The only good thing was the toilet worked well. Dont come here.
Wow, this was a low-rent motel. Just a general third-world feel to it with hard floors and plaster walls. Sorta dirty but it was only a $56 room. Found some suspicious-looking bugs but they turned out to be harmless individuals, no roaches or bedbugs (btw be careful judging a motel to have pest bugs if you don’t know what you’re looking for; also, bugs are just a part of life—you find them even in million-dollar homes.) Try another local motel first. On the upside, I woke up to find quite a few workers outside doing various touch-up projects like plaster and concrete work; unfortunately this motel seems beyond improvement with mere touch-up.
If I could give it no stars at all,I would. ONLY STAY HERE IF YOU ARE HOMELESS AND DESPERATE!! First off I asked for a non smoking room and the room smelled like a cigarette factory. Only one light worked in the entire room,toilet didnt flush. No microwave,no fridge and upon paying for my room another night until I find something better the front desk told me “COME PAY IT WHEN I GET BACK FROM WORK” when I got back from work to pay,EVERY LAST THING I LEFT IN THE ROOM IS PUT OUT!!!! In BAGS,all my valuable things in trash bags behind the hotel. This was a NIGHTMARE and my lawyer will be in touch. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Also crackheads hangout here ALLNIGHT!!!!
Bed had springs sticking out mattress was sinking in. Back sore as hell today. Tried having a get away now got a backache.

Nice place to get a room. They are very nice people that works here and very helpful. They are a little over priced and could be a little cleaner but its a place to feel safe and lay your head. So Im grateful. I will be back again.

Roach INFESTED!!!! Stayed for about 2 hers after driving from NC.. Just couldnt do it!!! Slept in my truck.. And they Hate giving refunds!! Will talk you to death and have Bad attitudes!!
The place is decent, there are no Fridges or Microwaves in the rooms, but for $50-$60 you cant expect TheHilton type of appeal. I tend to stay away from the back side cause its poorly lit, and I just dont like the vibe in the back...
Very dirty and showers dont look cleaned since 1965. Just a very dirty place that seems way too over priced for how badly each unit seems to be. Also offers zero in way of breakfast or coffee. Terrible and would give negative rating if possible. Also when asked if i could get cleaning supplies to clean room myself i was told no they dont allow. So im not allowed to clean nor the maids allowed to clean either. Just terrible place to pay to stay.

Rooms were filthy, there are signs of drug users in the hotel, lots of sketchy people driving around, and probably the foul smelling place I gave stayed in years. But the front desk clerk was nice.
The motel 6 on Victory Drive in Columbus Ga. Is ran by foreign slumlords!!! Do not waste your time or money there!!! The rooms were dirty!!! The Indian lady has a nasty attitude when you try to complain about something!!! Was without hot water for multiple days and they only refunded me for not even a day!!! I use motel 6 a lot..but never have I had the experience Ive had at this one!! I had multiple rooms during my 1 week stay..and none of the rooms were up to par!! One flooded..one was without heat..and the other was overrun with roaches!!
Dried vomit on the toilet, back of the bathroom door, and on the wall beside the little trashcan near the front door. Dried feces on the bathroom walls. Floor beside the bed was oily with unknown substance, extremely dirty. We went to Walmart and bought cleaning supplies. Had to bleach everything in the room, cleaned the entire floor. This was the most disgusting room Ive ever stayed in in all my years. DO NOT STAY HERE.
The gentleman that works night was absolutely rude only worried about his phone or the drug dealer buddies that lived on property. I was in shock when I entered the room no fridge, no microwave, bed was stained on sheets and pillows, shower did not work kept falling off, the toilet didnt flush found out my last day it was clogged I asked my second night for someone to go look at it. There was a major fight physically between a man and woman that live in the room about where I was renting for the weekend. Never got room service. Had to beg for towels... Nasty room very disappointed in what I got for what I paid. Not worth it. Stay somewhere else also I had bugs in my room that were smashed OK n the walls not cleaned up. Sink was nasty.... Stay away the owners and workers dont care they just want you money. They should be shut down. Gross
Pay attention to the reviews and book elsewhere! Its super sketchy at night, with drunks all over the place who were loud and disrespectful. The price may seem reasonable, but its not worth it. Booked a non smoking room for the week. The comforter had cigarettes burns, the floors were sticky, mirrors streaked, shower was filthy, sheets had piss stains on them, and the toilet flooded. I slept in the chair because I check in was late. Next morning I woke up to cops outside. I asked both the front desk and the cleaning lady directly to clean the room. Both told me no problem, when I returned nothing was done not even new sheets. I couldnt get away from this place fast enough try the one on Veterans parkway its much nicer.
The owner was mean and cruel to me and kicked me off the property while waiting for a ride cause of some kids acting out in parking lot and being loud after late hours disturbing the rest of visitors. When I tried to explain Ive never even rented a room there b4 I was visiting my family there the owner yelled at me rudely and repeated to me to get off premises and never come back. Even shortly after all that about 15 mins later I had a lady try to purchase me a room for the night cause she saw my troubles and the owner still refused me a room and told me never come back. And I assure you this much Im not ever renting a room period at that motel 6 as long as that man runs that motel. And from what I could see in there rooms there they were not very sanitary or cleaned properly or given room essentials as they would at any other motel 6.

Despite having been at several Motel 6 locations in the country, this was the worst situation we have experienced. Our first non smoking room wreaked of smoke and we asked for a different room. The second room had a different odor, but was tolerable. But the next morning the toilet began to bubble up and then it clogged. The front desk said there was no maintenance man available, so they could offer a plunger or a new room... We took the new room. Walked into this one and it had ashes all over the bed spread and on the bathroom floor, the smell was unbearable. We checked out and into a Holiday Inn. The other issues were the lack of security on the doors, having rusted and loose locks. The microwave in the hallway to the office was missing the turn table and the ice machine leaked water everywhere... There was also the swinging door of death, I got my foot hit by the door to the office three times, it is has an aggressive swing to it once you let it go. Overall not what we were expecting or use to with Motel 6, disappointing. Upside, Malik was pleasant and seemed sincere when he apologized for the issues.

The staff is friendly and nice. The room provided a roof and air conditioning on the HOT GA day. The pool is closed and has been for a while (reason it was selected). The pop machine is out of order, not even selling pops from the back. There were a few roaches. Some of the regular tenants are loud and active until 4am/5am. Room had NO luggage rack, microwave, nor coffee pot. It has a half shower (walkin). The toilet and underside of pipes in sink leaked and we told them, but had to leave for the day so idk if it was fixed or not and we checked out the following morning. Upon arrival the toilet seat had to be tightened because it was so loose the bolts were sticking out the back and it moved from side to side. The top cover is so thin you can see through it.
The rooms that I had where not very satisfying. The rooms had a bad smell the beds where wet, not sure if the sheets where put on wet or what. Asked for extra bed linens said that they where none until housekeeping comes in but they offered extra towels. I used those to place on the beds so that my kids and husband as well as myself could sleep. The shower was dirty. The mini fridge was leaking water. Overall I was not satisfied with my stay. The front desk staff was great. David was very pleasant and the young lady that checked us in was pleasant also. The housekeeper where not very professional looking.
The front desk was great and wonderful. When she gave me my room key I was in the very back of the hotel. There was caution tape up and barricade. I did find my room and it was ok. It did not look anything like the pictures. The pictures looked way better! When I turned the shower on there was very little water to come out. And there was still hair on the wall from where it was not cleaned very well. They are updating the hotel you can tell that it is older but they could have done a better job.
We asked for a none smoking room and get a room that suffocating with cigarette smoke, they say free wifi, just to learn that they cut it off at a certain point, we had to book a transportation using the wifi and they would not accommodate us .
On your website, the total price with taxes included didnt include the city tax, so I was hit with an unexpected $5 increase at check-in.At check-in, I had to ask where my room was then was told the opposite side of the building from my room.Upon arriving in my room, I was pleased with the general look of the room, but the smell of cigarette smoke (possibly other smoke as well) was strong. There were 3 ash trays (which I was later told were supposed to have no smoking stickers on them; I saw no stickers. There were at least two cigarette burns on the comforter an at least one cigarette stain on the ledge of the shower stall. The hotel was at capacity, so I didnt bother asking for a room change.Through the night, I was kept awake by the smell of the room and the noise from other guests shouting and pounding on walls or slamming doors (but thats kind of on me for not bringing ear plugs, cheap hotels are always noisy).In the morning, I discovered shampoo wasnt provided (glad I had my own) and the water pressure left much to be desired. I also found someone elses hair in the bed with me, but it was small, curly, and down at my feet.At check-out, the manager on duty confirmed that the hotel is aware of how that room smells (I appreciated her honesty; you should promote her and let her reclassify that room). The coffee in the lobby was decent.Ultimately, I paid for a good nights sleep in a nonsmoking room and a shower. I got the shower, but not the good nights sleep. So I didnt get what I paid for.

The day time staff was AWFUL. Inconsiderate and unprofessional are the nicest words I could possibly use. The night time staff wasnt AS bad but the pool wasnt open, vending machines were down, and they were digging up the whole darn parking lot. I believe I deserved a discount. Literally stayed here for over a month and they didnt take any of that into consideration whenever I was running an hour or so behind on payment.
My first night I went to shower and the water wouldn’t drain. The next day I went to tell the staff and they were very helpful gave me a new room with a better shower however the cleanliness of the facility could’ve been 100% better the floors needed sweeping there was old hair in both rooms in the shower, bits of paper on the floor. Other than that I had a peaceful stay. Wish there was an iron or microwave in the room.
Mattress worn out, EXTREMELY noisy, dogs barking,, people arguing and fighting. The police finally showed up. The staff just barely speaks English. The water was not hot.
This hotel stay was a complete disaster. Originally had to wait an hour and a half past check-in time to get a room. The room we were given had a man in it painting the walls. They asked us just to wait until he finished. We refused and asked for another room because we had our 8 and 2 year old. They finally found another room 45 minutes later. This room had dried urine in the shower. Filth all around the toilet. Food, hair and filth on the refrigerator and microwave. The phone didnt even have a cord to connect it to the wall. I would not recommend this hotel to even my worst enemy. If I could give it negative stars, I would.
I made the reservation online and got confirmation. I get to the Motel and the girl tells me, the room I reserved isnt available. I asked again and she said that even though I reserved a room, WITH a card, that there is no guarantee that I will get it. I asked her then WHY would I even need to reserve it or why was it offered if not available? She said thats just how it was, but if I wanted to get another room for a cheaper price I could, but still no fridge or microwave. She told me the price and it was $2 CHEAPER! I was tired, so I went ahead and took the available room. We get there, I always check the bed first, it was ok. I checked the bathroom and immediately didnt like the shower! It was dirty! I figured that when I took a shower that I would put a towel in it to stand on. When I did, when I got out I saw that water had covered the bathroom floor and then found it went into the room. The shower pan was leaking. We let the front desk know and she acted as if she couldnt understand. The reason why it got 3 stars is even with all of that, at least the floor was clean and the TV showed well!
Service from the front desk was phenomenal. The housekeeping was the complete opposite. They looked at me as if I was crazy. The shower was dirty, with said , I was unable to shower there!!The housekeeping never brought new towels as I asked nicely for them.The police over there are trash too!Checking in was a nightmare. This made me due AirBnB for the next time I’m in town.This doesn’t change the way I feel about the ladies up front , they are the only reason why I gave this place 3 stars.The light on the wall didn’t work. My key card stopped working 3 times.
It was raining and the gutters were falling off the roof, pouring rain water onto the walkway outside our room.We stayed here the weekend my son graduated from basic training and it was the only place left with a vacancy.My suggestion is start looking and booking as soon as possible so you have time to find something better. The pool was not even open and it was the hottest part of summer. The clerks were nice but it really needs work.
We checked in after 1:30a, the access door in the little lobby was locked, you had to do check in through a small window. The lady that checked us in was very pleasant. The first room we stayed in was dirty, the heater didnt want to work, there was also no fridge, microwave, or coffee maker. I switched our room to a fridge and microwave equipped room. The front desk women were very pleasant.

I stayed at the victory Dr location for about a week the staff was so polite friendly courteous professional I got checked in by Brianna I was super early when I arrived and was afraid I wouldnt be able to check in or that there would be a huge fee being that I had to change initial my reservation to the following day, much to my surprise she Not only was she able to change my reservation she also check me in early in minutes she was great! The rooms are a lot better than I thought it for the price clean as well
The comforter had cigarette burns, even though I stayed in a Non Smoking room. The shower wasn’t clean. Yeah the price is nice and all, but you pay for what you get!
First room didn’t have hot water. Moved to another room. Flushed the toilet and the water didn’t stop it was all over the floor and still running. I stoppped the water and asked front desk for help and a mop which they told me they don’t own a mop, was given shredded towels and had to clean it myself. Had to use all the towels in my room. Then was given one towel in return. Claimed they had no extra towels or maintenance man to help with the mess. I asked for a refund and she said she wasn’t able to do that either. Plenty other places off the 185 I wish I had picked.
Friendly staff but when I got there, my first night, my restroom was dirty and so were my bed sheets. And there was mess on my floor that has been there since I left on the corner of the bed. I dont know if the housekeeping just goes in to take the trash and thats it. Because I never saw my restroom cleaned. Its a good location, real close to the base. And the air conditioning was good, my room was always cold. Comfortable but messy.
This is a very poorly run hotel,I booked a room online for two nights,as my son also book 2 roomsfor two nightsafter working all day and driving for 6 hours I find out they cancelled my reservation so they Could book it for a higher rate,I had a late check in but they said it didnt matter,so I had to drive to Alabama to get a room for teice as much,If that wasnt bad enough,I went back on Saturday becsuse my son was still there and thry charged me a higher rate than what I had originally very money hungry owners and very rude Staff

Upon arrival we were extremely exhausted. Got to our room , saw a roach killed it. Brushed the experience off .Gone all day from about 7:00 am till about 9:30 pm My sons Military Graduation.we sat down on bed and we saw another roach couldnt kill it it moved to fast. Turned back cover to get in bed there was a spider dead in the sheets. I did leave a comment card about it . We were happy with Service but I will never stay there again because of the roaches

The room wasn’t as clean as it should have been. It was long hair all over the floors, and in the bathroom. We had to ask for a roll of tissue. Because we had about 7 pieces on the roll, we had to ask for more towels, there wasn’t a working microwave, so we had to go to the gas station to warm our food. The attendant Thatcher had a non chalant attitude about me asking for items.. Considering we were there for the military graduation, I’m glad at I didn’t get bed bugs, although I had to keep killing those biting lady bugs in the room!! The sink was stopped up, And the room was soooooooo small!! How did you fit those beds in that small stuffy room?? Then decide to put 3 people in there!! I would never recommend this place!!!
Bathroom was dirty. Pee all over the toilet seat. You can see where the housekeeper sprayed everything down but did not actually wipe anything. There was so much cleaner residue left. Also the floors were not swept and all the towels had hair on them for some reason.I wouldnt stay here again unless I absolutely had to.
First night the room leaked which I understand. I work for motel 6 and we have the same problem with people upstairs. So they moved us to a new room and it didnt have a cover on the bed. I went to front desk to get one and they said they couldnt get one because the laundry room was locked!!!! It was Cold!!!
Deplorable! Pool out of service and had been for a while! Killed a cockroach in our room within 5 minutes of walking in. Room too small for 2 double beds. Both beds shoved against the walls. Had to crawl over each other to get out of bed. Light in shower rusted and broken. Exhaust didnt work. Shower stall floor dirty - black and flaking apart. Scared to use it. Light bulb burned out of the overhead light. Fridge top rusted. No shelf in the fridge. Walls dirty. Found a clipped toenail on the nightstand. Curtains had been nailed closed at one point. 3 of the 4 nails were still hanging from the curtains. Thats dangerous. Had the room for 3 nights. NO maid service. Didnt even empty our trash during our 3 day stay. Glad we only slept there and spent minimal time in the room. Night 2 we had to get our key cards reactivated. Same for night 3. But on night 3 when trying to open our door the hubby pushed on the door trying to get the keycard to work and it opened. SOMEONE HAD BEEN IN OUR ROOM!!! Obviously NOT maintenance or maid service. So we went about checking our belongings for missing items. Nothing missing.Still concerned about identity theft as my laptop was in the room. Complained to the night clerk when reactivating the key cards and he tried to say it was maid service. I explained that was not so and then complained about lack of maid service. Then he tried to tell me it was maintenance. So I said no and complained about the broken light and fan in my shower. I asked for the manager. I was told no manager on duty but he would be in at 7am the next morning. Next morning at checkout I again asked for the manager and was told no manager on the weekends. Ill take my complaints to corporate. This is by far the worst place Ive ever stayed. Had I any other options, I would have checked out faster than I checked in and demanded a refund. This place needs to be shut down and bulldozed to the ground. Not even Chip and Joanna Gains could flip this place!
The main issue I had was that I stayed two nights and on the last night when I tried to return to my room I could not get in. I was really tired and wanted to lay down but I had to go back downstairs around to the very front of the building to go to the office to get my key fixed because they wouldnt let my boyfriend do it. Other than that everything was ok oh and they need to do a better cleaning on the linen cause one of my beds had stains on the sheets.
I got a room at the Motel 6 on Victory Dr. in Columbus, GA. The room seemed to be fine and we unpacked a few items but we later realized that the bathroom ceiling was covered heavily in black mold! We immediately packed up all of our stuff and headed to the front desk where we made the gentleman aware of the situation and asked for a refund. The gentleman left and went to take a look at the room for himself and when he came back he told us that he couldn’t refund the money but could move us to another room. I was sad about the refund because I wasn’t sure the other rooms would be sanitary considering the black mold issue, I asked if our room would be upgraded and he told us no as well. We figured we would try to call management the next day and we took the room he offered. Upon entering we found another really unsanitary room with big stains on the comforter of the bed, leftover food in the microwave, not to mention the microwave hadn’t been cleaned and the inner walls were caked in old food spills, the bathroom had what looked like blood on the walls by the hand towels. We were very upset at this point. We can understand that motels arnt gonna be the cleanest and most sanitary place but kind of hoped they at least had housekeeping do a good sweep of the room. Being let down again we returned to the front desk and told the gentleman our concerns. He again told me I couldn’t have a refund and tried to offer us ANOTHER room, I asked to speak with the manager several times and finally he went ahead and called him. They spoke and then he passed me the phone where all I said was hello before he hung up on me and popped up behind the door. He then asked what was going on and I told him all of our concerns. He offered half of a refund and we proceeded to tell him that we wanted to leave to get a different room in a different hotel due to the health hazards of the motel. He told me that the mold in his rooms was none of my business and then started yelling and screaming at me telling me that there was no issue. I tried to warn him that sleeping in a room with black mold could put someone in the hospital and he was screaming about how none of that is my business and that I needed to leave, he finally told the gentleman to refund my money and that if I come back on the property to call the police! I’m shocked at how an owner can speak to a customer like that for simply showing pictures of a room that he’s renting out that has severe black mold. It’s a huge health hazard that could hospitalize customers or possibly even kill them with prolonged exposure. I’m scared that he is just gonna give that room to the next person who walks through the office so please avoid this place if possible! It’s clear it’s ran by a slum lord with no care to his customers health. I’ll never return and don’t recommend!! Stay away!I wish it would allow me to post the pictures I took!!!!
The room I booked for 5 nights was supposedly a non-smoking room.. for two adults and a 1 year old. The room we got.... reeked of smoke there was ash on the floor. The shower had hair in it and the sheets didnt get changed the whole time we stayed (even thou we requested linen changing) they came into the room to make the beds by folding over the blankets and tucking them in. Yes they were friendly but there is no sanitation any where within this motel. I will never stay here again nor will I ever in my life recommend this place to anyone. Friendliness doesnt make up for the filthy Smokey smelling rooms.
The floors looked like they hadnt been cleaned in a month. I literally had to take a wet towel and slide the towel across the floors to walk on them. I use to stay at this location all of the time and it was never that way. Ill never stay there again.
I had the most horrible experience I have every went through...This Motel 6 was horrible. It seems that many People live at this Motel. Doors were slamming all night making it impossible to have a good nights rest. There wasnt a blanket on the bed so we were forced to sleep with the stained bed spread. There was no shower liner on the shower so water spilled all over the floor. I had to wipe all the floors because our feet were black from the floors...I feel that the 50.00 we paid for that room was very over priced. I wouldnt have stayed if I would have known it was this bad. I was so tired from the ride , We were driving our Son to his Duty Station at Fort Benning. I am very disappointed :(
Door deadbolt didnt work reliably, could force door open. We were in constant fear. No smoking room smelled kind of like smoke and half of the lights didnt work. Fortunately they lights that were out were conveniently spread out so that we had 50% light across the entire room. Toilet lid was not connected to the toilet, making for a much less relaxing experience. Room was reasonably clean, but not great.
My wife and I stayed here and were VERY disappointed! The toilet did not have enough water pressure to actually flush, the shower light did not work, almost no pressure out of the shower head, and only 1 towel for my wife and I to share! Management gave us a room a lot faster than I have seen from other Motel 6 before though!
The staff was courteous and kind and the room itself was clean and comfortable. The reason I didnt give the motel a higher score was due to the surcharge for wifi and my inability to connect after having paid for the service. I took my computer to the office for assistance and was able to make a connection. However, I could not make a connection from my room after several attempts. Other than that I was satisfied. Ed
One star ONLY because staff was friendly. Got a non smoking room for my husband and four kids. Walked in and was immediately hit with a strong stale smoke smell. Next we found cockroaches EVERYWHERE both alive and dead! Bedding had hair and pubes all in it, we left within the first hour and found a new hotel. Highly suggest avoiding this place 100%!
I was a little disappointed to realize that because I chose to get the cheapest available room $10 difference, that there wasnt a micro fridge in my room. The staff and housekeepers were extremely friendly and accommodating. The bed wasnt as bad as the last Motel 6 I stayed at. There was only one outlet in the room. The worst part of my visit was the traffic of party-goers. Being woke up by loud talking, loud vehicles or loud music is not my idea of quality rest. Then I found out after my stay the price was the same at a much nicer hotel with a fridge AND stove. Next time I will go there.

My husband booked a room at this motel for 3 nights while we were visiting our son at Fort Benning. This place is as awful as the other reviewers claim.1. The room was filthy. The floor doesnt look like it has been cleaned in months. My feet were black from dirt within a couple hours. There is filth under the beds and next to them. The shower is also filthy. There was loose dirt on the sheets, like black specks of hard stuff.2. The noise level is unbearable. I have stayed in a number of hotel and motels and have never experienced anything like this. Sounded like someone was stomping around in the room upstairs ALL NIGHT. A pitbull loose and barking in the parking lot. A smoke detector beeping, a toilet running, people just being obnoxious at all hours of the night.3. No cold water running in the sink, only scalding hot. The bathroom wall was crumbling at the bottom really bad. It looks like the bathroom flooded and they never bothered to fix it.4. And this is the absolute worst part. Every single time we left our room we came back to it smelling like pot. And the smell was strong, it was clear it was smoked IN our room while we were gone. I am 90% certain the hotel staff was coming in when we left to get high. They front desk clerk claimed it was probably the neighbors. I dont think that is the case because it only happened when we were gone and the smell was powerful. We had to open our room door and run the bathroom fan for a couple hours to clear the smell. Angry doesnt cover how I feel. They offered to refund us but all of the other hotels were booked.5. Maid service entering after we specified we didnt need them and NOT actually cleaning. Our bathroom towels were taken but nothing else was done and zero clean towels were left.6. The last morning we walked outside to find a beer bottle directly under our rear tire. Intentionally placed for us to back over it.There is something sketchy about this motel. DO NOT STAY HERE.
When I first got there I was exhausted and they got me checked in pretty fast. the first night, I had roaches in my room but I was so exhausted I just put everything on the bed and fell asleep but I brought it up the next day and I was immediately moved to a different room. it was bigger and so nice, no bugs whatsoever so Id bet the last room just had something hiding somewhere. I then spent the next three days there with my husband who had a pass off fort benning. we had a lovely time, the staff was so nice! and its literally a straight shot to fort benning which was a huge plus! I even got a slight refund back for the problem with my first room, I was not expecting one so that was awfully nice as well. be prepared for a small shower in most rooms. no bathtubs, just small showers. but the showers are definitely worth dealing with when you have such nice staff who are genuinely concerned about their guests and work hard to fix any problems. 10/10 will definitely stay here again!!!!
I booked a room at your facility with an approaching storm (Hurricane Michael). Just a few hours after check in, the electricity in the hotel goes out. After approximately 45 minutes of waiting, I check with the front desk to ask if they have an eta on power return or if they have an emergency back up generator. The front desk was very quick and rude with me and simply stated that they had no idea of ETA on power and no back up generator. I explained that I understand that the power going out was beyond her control but what she could do as far as customer service, hospitality and for the safety of her guests was in her complete control. I asked if I could be refunded my stay since Ive only been there less than 3 hours. I was asked to call corporate. I asked for corporates number, I was told that she did not know it and that I should be able to google it. I was able to find another hotel close by with power and stayed the stormy night there as I did not feel safe at your facility with no power, no AC, in a dark room that did not allow for the opening of windows to keep the room tolerable. I tried opening the door, however that just let rain in. Walking the dark hallways and down the stairs was dangerous and a huge liability and there were no safety lights on anywhere. Again, I did not feel comfortable nor safe. The next day, I did call your customer service line and explained my situation and asked for a refund. The CSR was empathetic of my situation and advised that she would reach out to the facility and someone would contact me within 48 hours. It has now been 4 days with no response. I feel that Motel 6 failed me in all aspects of hospitality and customer service. I would rate it less that one star, but the system does not allow for it.
I came here to get away from Irma. The rooms are not modern, theyre very very dirty and outdated. My room smelled very bad. I woke up at 6am to adult german ROACHES scaling my belongings. The toilet is broken, blankets stained, and everything in here just needs gutted. Unfortunately I have another night here with all other hotels booked. I woule never stay here, unless it was to outrun a hurricane. So i suggest no one come here unless you HAVE to.*** the staff is so nice and helpful at this location. They switched me to the best room that they had. The room still had a dead roach in the bathroom and I couldnt sleep comfortably but the review could be a higher rating just because of the wonderful staff. I still would not choose to stay again however
The room wasnt clean. The bathroom was disgusting, foggy mirror, gross shower and the counter didnt look wiped. Crumbs and dirt were al over the floor. The room had a weird smell and the heater/air unit didnt work properly. Im very disappointed that my $50 was spent there
Affordable. Staff was helpful and friendly. Great folks! However, rooms smelled like cigarette, ended up making my clothes and items smell like it. I had to get my room changed due to sink malfunction. Door latch of my rooms and my friends room were busted. The floor was sticky for some reason. Cards keys stopped working whenever they were near cell phones.
Was only given one towel in room..thought reservations was for a king bed got a full...people above us were loud...parking lot was loud all hours of night...pool was inoperable...air conditioning didnt cool as good...room was small but decent for the price paid. Outlet in bathroom didnt work...
Shower doesnt work in most rooms. Rooms are dirty... had to go thru 4 rooms to get one satisfyingly clean... now shower doesnt work so Ive still gotta change rooms. I will never reserve/stay with them again!
This place is a safety and health hazard that must be reported. Please review photos. We checked in to more than 10 rooms due to literally NO other hotel (or AirBNB) being available, and some opted to sleep in their cars instead. Holes in walls with bugs coming out, massive mold, vomit on walls, and blood stains, were only outdone by the fear of danger. The associates, though kind, were very young, and read room numbers, phone numbers, and credit card numbers out loud with suspicious people nearby. Please DO NOT stay here.
My check in experience was lengthy and stressful. I tried to be patient knowing that the front desk agent was very busy and overwhelmed. I checked in around 5 and the room I was assigned was not cleaned. I left for two hours and the room had still not been cleaned. The front desk agent then put me in a smoking room with two beds without asking me if I wanted to be switched to that room type. Then, finally, I was assigned to the right room.Also, the hotel was noisy all night and the floor turned my feet black when I walked on it with no socks or shoes.
Although the room that I stayed in was renovated, it wasnt clean, the tv didnt work, when I took a shower the person up stairs took one with me because their shower drain leaked into mine. There wasnt any coffee in the morning. The only thing good that I could say about this place is the customer service was NICE.
It was fairly clean but my sister rented her room at the same time I did and we were supposed to be side by side and when we arrived they changed her room and she was on the other side of the hotel and they told her they did the best the could but no one rented the room next to us ever that was supposed to be hers and when she went in her room it was very dirty and she got a refund and went somewhere else. Also our floor was dirty .. our socks were black from it and there were people in the parking lot yelli g and fighting yet we got a call that woke us up from the front desk telling us the room below said we had kids running around and we only had a baby that cant walk yet. And we paid for a room with a refrigerator and it didnt work and had mild in the freezer
This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. There was no water to take a shower. There was cockroaches walking on the walls. And it smelled like pure smoke which was intoxicating. The floors were ridiculously sticky. Terrible customer service, the lady at the desk was very rude and yelled at me for no reason, horrible manner.
The cleaning supplys were to strong, hard to breathe, floor was slippery. Pillows sheets stains on it . And I look like the bottom sheet never got washed or they have a bad dryer. Bugs in the room. Got clean new towels each day.
Room was dirty when we got there. We rented for 3 nights. Second day our keys didnt work to let us in. Guys were smoking weed right outside our room. Says no pets but peoples dogs were barking all night. Someone had all their tools stolen from their truck and security cameras werent working. They came to clean our room and the only thing they did was fold our dirty towels and hung them back up. Told us the room had been cleaned.
They have hair all over the bed. ( Thats NOT mines)! Dirty showers! The microwave almost blew up on the table in the room. It was not cutting off till I fearfully unplugged it, Had the whole room dangerously smokey almost 3 hours smell still in here. Oh and they have roaches! Their rating should be half a star not even the 2 it shows. That must be for the nice lady at the front desk.
I will never stay another night in a Motel 6. I paid for 4 nights at the Columbus Motel on Victory Dr and it was very unpleasant. My second night there the laundry area caught fire and burned enough that they had to turn the gas off. There was no hot water to take a shower when I got up on Wednesday morning. I called the front desk and was told that the gas was shut off to the furnace. I went to work to and returned Wednesday evening to find that there was no water to use that night. I got upset and went to the front desk to speak with the clerk and as I was asking her about the length the water was expected to be off she was very rude and really ticked my off by stating I dont want to here no complaining and if you want I will give you a refund. I asked how many days refund would I get and she stated that she would only refund me for the days that I did not stay and I said that was poor customer service, she did call me back later and state she was giving me one more day after I called Customer Relations. If you cant provide me the service s that I paid for then you have poor business practices. I am disabled veteran and government contractor. I also would tell guys about Motel 6 as a place to stay but after this incident, i will never recommend Motel 6 to anyone.
The first room I stayed in wasnt bad, but I was woken up at 9am by a serious leak coming from the room above me and had to rush to get all of my things out and I went to the office where the manager offered me no apology, or discount for another room which was disgusting. It smelled horrible, I couldnt take my shoes off because the carpet was so dirty and stained and there were roaches in the bathroom and hair in the shower. I wouldnt stay there again. When I asked the manager about a discount he said he took $5 off of my room. I felt like I should haven been compensated for more but didnt want to have to ask for something I felt should of been offered.
Recently renovated and you can tell because the fridge, tv, shower, stove, counter top and bed are all modern, new and in good condition. Sheets were clean, and nothing that would make you regret your stay room wise. However.... The renovation doesnt extend to the outside and the elevator so I got a room on the fifth floor which would be okay were it not for the fact that the elevator was highly suspect. I overheard a conversation that the elevator was fixed recently and when you get on it you dont feel confident that the repairs will hold up. Get a non smoking room and have the person in the room next to you step outside and smoking defeats the purpose. Its a place to a stay and you could do a whole lot worse especially for the price so not bad but not great either.
My entire family booked 4 hotel rooms months in advance for my sons turning blue ceremony and basic training graduation. Upon arrival our rooms werent even ready,clean or what we asked for. There was electrical tape holding my daughter in laws shower head, beds left dirty, cockroaches,holes and cracks in walls,dirty towels, broken toilet seats, and more.EVERYTIME one of us left a room and came back our keys no longer worked!!! Checking in was also a nightmare as they claimed their computers were down and could ONLY except cash...would have went elsewhere but traveled over 1,000 miles with 10 adults,2 babies and 2 of the adults were handicap and could not find accommodations elsewhere. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE
Motel 6 on Victory Drive is a great place to rest your head. Since its been renovated. The room are always clean. They dont mind supplying you with extra towels and toiletries when you ask. Most of all great customer service!!
Ive been here twice, the first room had a spider problem the second one was fine. Both look well clean
There were cockroaches in the room and the whole building reeked of weed constantly. Our next door neighbor was a constant nuisance. When his dog wasn’t barking, he was yelling and cussing and banging around his room. The management had to come speak to him several times and told us he even threatened the room service ladies. I don’t understand why he wasn’t kicked out. We ended up moving to a different hotel. I realize it’s a “cheap” hotel in a notoriously bad part of town, but I think if the management more strictly enforced the rules it would be better. Also, the WiFi situation is ridiculous.
Didnt get clean towels when I asked, bed only had sheets n top cover, it was missing a blanket. Left a day early n went to a diff hotel, ppl upstairs extremely loud at all hours of night, hot water still had issues, it was just too much this time.
The room stank of smoke even though it was a non smoking room. I was there for 3 days and they never went to pick up trash nor change the sheets. I called 3 times for them to go and clean room and they never did. Finally they just changed me to another room. Which was a real inconvenience because it was upstairs and I have a bad back and bad knees. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Check in and everything went well, but shower hardly warmed up and the room reeked of cigarette smoke. The room was marked non-smoking and had non-smoking signs in the room, but it needs to be aired out. I wasnt expecting a major departure from other Motel 6 locations and didnt really plan to be there long (I arrived around 2330 and left around 0730) but I wasnt pleased that I had to wash everything I had, including my luggage, to get the stench out.Good enough for a single male, but if I was a woman, or with one, I wouldnt have stayed there. Not the best or worst place Ive ever stayed. Just average.
My room didnt feel it smells fresh it smells stale and and the smell was in it I had to go to Walmart to buy air freshener and disinfected and for what I paid for it I could have got a little bit more
I will never stay at this hotel again. The room smelled like clorox... The shower was too small and the shower curtains werent long enough to keep water from wetting the entire floor. There were no towels or washcloths in the room....luckily I brought my own. After putting my clothes on the floor to step out the shower on... They got ruined due to clorox being all over the floor. The room was supposed to be a queen....lol... Nooot... It was definitely a full... Very uncomfortable for two people. There was a mouse trap under the bed!!! I kid yall not.... No microwave or fridge in the room... They charge extra to put those in there. Never again!!! Even the door cards didnt work!! Very noisy....the only good thing were the two people in the office... Plz pay me for my sweats and bama national championship shirt that was ruined due to horrible cleaning!! Dont waste yall time here... No matter the price!
Staff was very efficient and friendly. And, the price was very reasonable. The furniture and fixtures could stand a serious updating, as well as the entire property. I recommend you put trash cans in the bathrooms. The green pool was ugly!
Checked in late, they called to confirm my reservations were still current. The front desk workers were extremely helpful. Going so far as providing directions. Loved our stay, would highly recommend this location, close to Fort Benning for military graduation. To my fellow Hawaii people, this place was safe, affordable and clean.
The pool area was completely dysfunctional and appeared to have been that way for a long time. Room TV reception poor. Room phone didnt work. Room was clean and fairly comfortable. It is a basic, no frills motel. Initially there werent a full set of room towels, but this was remedied the second day.
Not too bad for the price. Room was clean and newly renovated. I like the fake wood floors better than carpeting. Be warned there are a lot of up charges that are not listed when you book like if you want a room w/a fridge and a microwave. Also they charge for wifi. Convenient location though. Water pressure in the shower was just meh.
I had to ask for a refund. The first room they assigned me the A.C. wasnt working. Then the assigned me a 2nd room & the room smelled all of cigarette smoke & it was a smoke free room. But the lady at the front desk was very helpful & tried her best accomadate me in both occasions. She was very polite & always had a smile.
Did not enjoy my experience at all. From the time I came to the hotel to the time I left. I requested a king size bedroom and they put me in a double bed without no refrigerator and microwave. I called down to see why I don’t have the refrigerator and microwave, the lady by the name of Lisa said that I have to request that how do we know your supposed to want those items. The. She going to try and charge for that and she was rude.
The room was not very clean at all and had a very bad musty, mildew smell. The pool was also not open the whole time we were there. The front desk staff and everyone else I encountered was extremely friendly and nice.
The rooms where disgusting they had roaches all over one of the bed sheets where all dirty they did not do house keeping we did not cancel because all the hotels where out of rooms so we had no choice the next day the didnt even leave toilet paper they never got me new sheets, or cleaned the floors are dirty they have never been swept and mopped. I would not recommend this hotel.
The first room on the second floor, 23?, had no tv remote and the phone didnt work.. We were moved to room, 107, and one of the light bulbs was blown and the phone didnt work. The rooms were very clean and smelled good. Great value for the price!
I came into town for 1 night. I thought this would be ok for 1 night. Not!!It was raining when I arrived. The floor was wet I thought I had tracked in the water. Not!! The floor seeped water it was coming up through the floor. I took a towel and tried to wipe up the water after I did the towel was black. The floor was very very dirty. I did not say anything to the staff I guess I should have but I didnt. My Bad on that. The internet was also bad. The bed was clean.
After driving 14 hours from Florida to evacuate from Hurricane Irma and to spend 6 nights at this Motel 6 in Columbus, GA, I was horrified (and left in a difficult situation with no vacancies anywhere within a 200-mile radius) to find my room over-powered by a strong chlorine/insecticide smell and INFESTED BY MINI-ROACHES (ANT-SIZED) EVERYWHERE. The manager offered to credit me $40 at the end of my 6-night stay, but I could not spend another minute in that room. Horrible, horrible experience. I was hoping to obtain two complimentary rooms elsewhere. Management refused. So much for customer relations. In no way can I recommend this location....not even for pets.
Stayed here this past weekend for the second time. First time was good back in december 2016 but now! Omg! Horrible! They have roaches and they came out as soon as we start eating our food. Pulled the blanket back and found hair and dirt on the sheets. Asked for more sheets and they said they would have to take it to the laundry mat cause they dont have a laundry facility on the property. So that makes me wonder how often they wash sheets
Actually shouldve been a 4.5 just because we could not go swimming since the pool was broke down. The staff was wonderful and friendly. Breona checked me in quickly. The room was clean and cool. Get something done about that pool, so the wonderful staff does not have to apologise and explain multiple times a day.
When i got to my room, i immediately checked everything out, like i always do and there were no towels at all in the room, and there was no remote for the TV. So i contacted the front desk, and had to go get the items that were missing from the front desk. The room that i got was on the first floor. About 7 am, the next day i was awakened by loud noises. Apparently whoever was in the room above me, had a lot of kids in the room as well, so it was impossible for me to go back to sleep because those kids were extremely loud with the yelling, the crying, the running up and down the stairs. Also, everytime the toilet was flushed, it made a loud, squeaky noise that lasted for about 30 seconds. I really feel like i need to be compensated for this room. The experience I had in this room was the worst ever. I always stay at Motel 6 everytime I go to Columbus, GA and I have never had any problems.
The worst motel I have ever stayed in. The rooms were dirty and had not been cleaned. The bathrooms were nasty and were not cleaned, there was urine still on the toilet lid and pubic hairs in the shower and in the sink. The room was a non smoking room but stunk like cigarettes. The room also stunk of pesticides to kill roaches that were crawling everywhere. They were even in our suitcase when we unpacked after we got home.
I was in town for my sons Military graduation so I needed a room. Motel 6 was the worst place I have ever been. The room smelled like smoke, the bed sheets where so dirty I had to go to Wal-Mart to buy a set of sheets, the shower was not clean I had to go downstairs to ask for something to clean the shower, I only had one face towel that had someones red hair on it, the table in the room fall on the floor when I put my overnight bag on it. The table had nothing to hold it onto the base. I was in room 252 next to a group of people that where smoking and drinking outside until 10:22 pm when I asked them to please go into their room because I was trying to get some sleep. I asked for my money back for the room but your staff would not refund my money so I could go somewhere else so I was forced by your staff to stay here.Motel 6 should really make some improvements to this place as soon as possible.I am very disappointed in the service of this Motel 6.

The location was amazing and close to lots of restaurants. The room was supposed to be non-smoking, but had a smoky smell. The room also had ash trays in the room, which I found odd for a non-smoking room. I spoke to the front desk about the smell, and they moved me to a new room.
We have stayed here several times with our two dogs and this time they decide to tell us our dogs were a problem after we complained about the room the gave us. The first room someone had threw up all over the refrigerator so we asked for another room, the second room that they moved us to smelled like someone had been smoking weed in it for days and looked like the beds had been slept in and they never made the beds up. Thats when they decided to tell us that our dogs were over the weight limit and we could not stay there. This is also after we have stayed there at least a few times a month since October. We will never be going back there again and I wish I could post the pictures of the rooms that they tried to put us in that were disgusting.
It was horrible. I arrived at 5:30 pm and was told my room was not ready. After waiting an hour to finally get my room key to room 240 trash was everywhere and the beds were un made so I went back to the front desk and I was giving a key to room 220 which was fine but the shower was filthy and so were the towels
We had paid till the 31st and then planned on paying till the 6th. On the 30th we were told we had to leave because they over booked ?? We had paid for one more day. When I called to get that day refunded the night shift told me my rooms both were still available, that they had enough cancellations that we could have stayed for the entire trip. I gave a two star because of Shandra she was the one who told us day shift messed up! We will be back to see my son on a regular basis, but will never trust any motel 6 again. Bad service, incompetent staff, and a manager who makes disisions based on a maintenance mans advise. We had a 18 month old baby, and a service dog. Try finding a room on Labor Day weekend with all that.
I wouldnt recommended motel 6 i just left there this morning they over charge you for the rooms and they messed up and then last night I was just getting out the shower and they had a whole stranger walk right into my room i felt violated and they act liKe everything is a mistake i have pictures that im going to post as well ... They really need to be shut down or let they rooms ho for 40 dollars there not like the one downtown its so pretty i would recommend they shut the one on victory drive down ASAP
I had a stay here and pretty much stole my money I had paid for 2 rooms and the lady asked for my info so they can have my card on file and I asked if it was gonna charge me and she said no and the next day i checked my bank statement and saw that I was charged AGAIN. I went to the desk and told them about the extra charge and claim that I had to call to get my money back and finally I had emailed the manager about it and had not heard back from them. I’m highly disappointed.
One of the worst motels Ive ever stayed in. Flying cockroaches, mold in the shower, which also looked like someone urinated in the shower. No floor mat at the door, so when you walked in from the rain, you tracked water into the room. Accidentally left a couple of things, called 2 days in a row but nobody called me back. Had to physically go to the motel to check lost and found, which was a plastic bag, and of course our items were not there. Dont worry about me ever staying at another motel 6. So dont leave the light on for me. Couldnt give negative stars.
It was fine. The floors were dirty and the bathroom door was broken but otherwise, it was good. Nobody bugged me, the important stuff was clean, ya know and it was only, like, $45 a night which is great.
We specifically asked for a nonsmoking room and were given one that reeked of smoke. Staff was largely unapologetic and did nothing for us. We had to buy air freshener to get rid of the smell. The room itself was ok. A little used to free WiFi, was dismayed to see a surcharge. Probably not going to stay there again.
Check in time onsite and the website dont match. Staff did get me an alternate room that was cleaned and gave that to me. Room was clean when I arrived, maintenance was sent to fix safety issue with my door. Vagrants were hanging out in parking lot during the evening hours each night. This motel was not in a very safe neighborhood beggars were constantly asking for handouts. Half the lights were not working. No do not disturb signs in room. There was an apparent drug deals going on in rooms. Lighting in parking lot was very concerning.no no microwave or fridge in room , only one ice machine on property.
Staff is very friendly and highly respectful, definitely make you feel welcome. I appreciate all of the staff. They were very helpful with everything Im new to Columbus and they gave me comfort when I had doubts upon my arrival and stay. Thank you Staff for your excellent hospitality.
Their was mold on the shower head and the sink was stop up. And my Internet connection didnt.work. I made a complaint about. I assume I was in a bad room at the time overall their rooms are are good
First of all I was given one price and when I got there it was almost $50 more. When I made the reservation it asked if I needed a roll away I said yes. When I got there they said they didnt have any. They knew it was for 3 adults 2 kids. We had to buy him an air mattress . The room was so small had no table. One hard chair. The shower we couldnt use it was all moldy. It was terrible ! The first night all you heard was people yelling and jumping upstairs . The floors were dirty like they havent been clean in a year you walk on them your feet were black. Lights didnt work.
The location is horrible. There is an undesirable strip club across the street that brought in a few questionable quests. The tv was extremely small and would not stay plugged into the wall so it kept turning off. The floor in the bathroom was bubbled up and ripped up in a few places close to the toilet. I took a shower for about 15 minutes and had no hot water in the last few minutes. We were so concerned with the location and the local patrons that we did not even stay at this hotel our second night. We found a new hotel to stay at and did not receive our money back for the second night. Definitely not a place to take a family especially with young children. I am all about saving a few dollars with a cheaper hotel, but this was a horrible experience and we will not be back at this one.
My overall stay was great, staff was helpful and housekeeping provided me with the things I requested of them. The stand up shower I wasnt use to but I do knw that I need to bring a shower cap next time or hotel should offer them. It was a great stay. I will be visiting location again.
My Experience at Motel 6 is Awesome. My room was cozy and comfortable. The front desk clerk was Very Respectful and Helpful. I recommend anybody to talk to Z when they want a room here.
Great service, outstanding hospitality. Was able to book a room with no problems; spent one day there. Was pretty okay for the price I recommend for anyone trying to save some money and get a goodnight sleep.
The check in experience went smoothly. The room was in excellent shape. The location is outstanding. The bed was fresh and comfortable. One small roach and a spider were in the room. The renovated property is relaxing and clean.
The service is decent for the most part, rooms are clean, but they do have roaches. Ordered some food and stepped away for a minute and went back to get it and when I opened it. Bam. Roach. Really upsetting because I was really looking foward to that food. And you only get certain channels on the TV. Youre suppose to have them but when you go to the channel the picture is distorted and just doesnt come through. And you have to pay for wifi. Kind of pricey for not that great of quality.
First night spent killing roaches. Stains on comforter on maid beds. One Motel 6 can be very different from another. Cheaper price is definitely not worth it this time. People in office were very nice.
0 stars is more like it. I don’t know what was worse...the smell, the mold, the holes in the wall, the dirty condition, or the bugs. This wasn’t even the cheapest hotel room in town. With broken smoke detectors and exposed outlets, this place should really just be put out of its misery. Save your money and book literally ANYWHERE else.
Number one worst hotel experience of my life. The first room that I took was a non-smoking room that reeked of cigarettes and had clearly had a cigarette put out on the bedspread. In addition, the smoke detector battery was low so the device was beeping obnoxiously. The lady at the front desk was incredibly helpful and quickly agreed to put me in a new room. The new room was everything you would expect from a budget friendly hotel. However, once the sun went down the freaks came out. The balcony outside my hotel room was an endless cacophony. Through the course of the evening there were three extremely loud altercations between other guests at the hotel. The tone of the altercations caused me to feel unsafe, therefore I left the hotel and continued my road trip at about 4 oclock in the morning with pretty much no sleep.

Basic motel. Micro and fridge available. The most accommodating and friendliest staff we have had at any other motel while travelling across country. Needs some housekeeping guidance but will fix any reasonable requests. Thank you for the smiles.
Not the best neighborhood but not dangerous. For the money this is a great place. Clean room with good parking at a great price.
First time I went they gave me a room with a couple that when we walked in they thought we were robbing them and a whole argument broke out. Then they gave us a room and told us we couldnt lose or key or have it by metal cause we wouldnt get another one and they wouldnt have a way to get our stuff out. The next time I booked a room online got there my reservation was not given to me I had to take what was left. I paid for internet that I couldnt even get on while there, the phone in the room didnt work went to get another they didnt replace it. The water stays hot for 10 seconds. There were random people knocking at the door all night as if they were trying to rob us because none of them were ever at the right room but you could hear them going to the doors knocking. The employees dont know anything and can never help solve a problem. I asked after all th stress could I check out late they told me they manager dont go for that. The smoke free rooms are smoked out too. This is just all wrong and the worse experience.
Made a reservation and when we got there they said it was cancelled, we didnt get a notice nor did they tell us why it got cancelled. Didnt even get the chance to stay there but still never coming back!
My stay at Motel 6 overall was not horrible. I was worried at first because after a long day of traveling across the country, I entered into the room and none of the bedding was on the bed. Also half the time my room key didnt work after going onto Fort Benning and back. But the staff was friendly.
Our reservation was for a one bed queen size. We was tired and some how got put in full size displease ask for 2 more pillow never receive. Bed was to small for 2 people it was our 46 anniversity..

I have spent money with these people rented rooms and sometime Ill pass through that walking while Im homeless and Ill stop this to get some Wi-Fi and the people ran me off just for stopping and I have spent money with them people in rent room and renting room for a few times since Ive been here in Georgia I dont recommend anybody going to the motel 6 on on victory drive or veterans veterans parkway because I want a veterans parkway they have a guy sitting in all the time we just close out there in the lobby all the time and I said in a one night just charged my phone and the woman told me to leave or she wont cry for me I was disturbing people and I hadnt said a word so I dont recommend anyone to go to motel 6 on veterans parkway or victory drive in Columbus Georgia

I checked in on Saturday June 9th and checked out Sunday June 10th from room 117.If anyone can help us get our belongings back, please help us.The managers were extremely unhelpful, rude and had no respect for our time. We drove from Albany to Columbus today on June 12th after waiting for 2 1/2 hours for a call back that we never received. Just moved from Florida, our place wasnt ready No Elec. – it was extremely cold that night! We called, went to Motel 6 where we checked in with ease. Clean, warm room for one night! We did see the price LOWER by $10 on their billboard the next day...hmmm?
Room was very clean and staff was very friendly so no complaints there. Only complaint was the room was not sound proof at all. So I could hear everything from outside and the rooms next door. And I feel like wifi should be included since other hotels around that price range do and since there are no microwave and fridge.
My husband and I have stayed at many Motel 6s but the one in Columbus, GA is not a good one. The people were very friendly and helpful. But the motel itself is very old and run down. Not at all worth the 60.00 a night. We had to leave, they over booked this motel and we were put in a smoking room. That was unacceptable. Your reservation department over booked this motel and and made it impossible for us to get the room we booked. I will say we did get our money back, which is why I said that the employees are wonderful! But this place needs some reno done on it ASAP!
Only if I was desperate for a cheap room would I return. Arrived late at night to see people sitting outside as if they were waiting to do drug deals. Night reception desk struggled to get us set up with a room, and the place was pretty run down.
The room was not clean it also had bed bug in the bed the bath room was so nasty and the floor was nasty also and your front desk cleak told me he did not have another room available so me and my kids had to sleep in my car. Also the area was very bad .
There was roaches and bed bugs we walked out with bites all over us, we ordered pizza set it down on the microwave went to go get some there was a Roach in it needless to say we didnt eat. We had inconsiderate neighbors pounding on the door and yelling next to us fighting with his wife at 2:30am, the house keepers bang on your door like their the police and when you ask them to bring toilet paper they never show back up, the gentleman at the front counter had to bring it to us after we called him. The light in the shower shorted out after water coming thru it from the people up stairs taking a shower. My daughter and I had the worst experience there, we will be staying else where next time were in town.
I truly enjoyed my stay at Motel 6! The staff were very friendly and showed great hospitality once I arrived at the hotel. They made my vacation relaxing and very pleasant! Will return again.
The live in Motel Kitty was an amazing plus. We are animal lovers and think every room should have one. The staff was awesome and they make fantastic ice. It was always nice to see their smiling faces.
First room had spiders and candy from previous occupants understand the bed. Second room the toilet wasnt functioning properly but was overall chosen l clean.
Rooms are not as bad as described in most of the comments but the surroundings are exactly as depicted if not worse. Did not get any sleep after midnight due to an altercation in the room next to us surrounding a business transaction between a working girl, her client, and her pimp. DO NOT stay here with your family. DANGEROUS volatile situations are common in place with so many working girls.

The people above our room were so noisy and refused to keep it down. The staff kindly moved us to another room but it had WOOD ROACHES!!! The only thing good about that place is the staff the hotel itself is awful amd me and my husband will never stay there again.
Room was clean but smelled like smoke. Kinda sketchy crowd hanging out in the parking lot all night. Low rates but was worried about the contents of my vehicle being secure all night. Dropped to two star. Had stuff stolen from my vehicle two nights in a row.

Disgusting! Ok So,I have been to all kinds of hotels/motels and this isnt the worst but close to it.Vending machines are both broke.Pubic hair in the bed and that was all springy like all you felt was springs and I woke up hurting bad,the shower was cold water only and it hardly had any water come out! The light inside it was broke and so when you shut the curtin its pitch black. I showered with it half open .Got a non smoking room with 2 ash trays and it smelled like weed. I dont mind weed,but do it outside. Apparently, people sell it there or something cause somebody asked us if we had any lol I have no idea what they remodeled! Im surprised they had a flat screen tv and a.c. I just pretended like I was camping and will try and shower again real good when I get home with nice clean warm water.
They gave us a room that had someone staying in it already. Opened the door and drug paraphernalia laying on table and a dog tied up in the room. Pool wasnt open. Roaches came out at night. People fighting in the parkinglot on 2 separate occasions. Door card stopped working each day. Room was smaller than a ceackerbox
I booked my room on line. The address sws gven was DOWNTOWN on Veteran. I arrived about 8 pm and was told To go to he Motel 6 on Victory ACROSS FROM THE STRIP CLUBS. After about 10 minutes, they assigned me a room(224) I was too tired to notice the DOOR did not shut all the way. I laid down and fell asleep. About midnight I awoke scratching and itching like my legs were on fire. I took a shower not knowing what to do. NO HOT WATER. I scrubbed my legs as hard as could. In he morning I got up and noticed the door. The ice machine was broken. My legs were bleeding from multiple bites. I turned back the bed and saw the sheets had been put on the bed inside out. I have pictures!
The front desk clerk had excellent customer service skills and knowledge of her hotel. She was very polite and answered all questions. The rooms could have been a little cleaner.
Not in a good neighborhood. It is off the main road and close to Walmart and fast food places. Employees were helpful and polite. We were there for Family weekend at Fort Benning. The first night was ok and 2nd night, there was a drunk guy above our room at 330am screaming at gf to let him in. The visitors were pleasant, we were there for the same reason. The locals seemed to move in the 2nd and 3rd night to make it not so pleasant. Room was clean, very insecure door locks. Plus our room had an adjoining door to next room over.
Room was ok. Floors needed to be mopped, and the heat didnt work. Would have like free breakfast and a room with a bathtub because Im 6 months pregnant. Other guests was a little loud but overall it was ok.
There where drug deals going. There was three dogs roam in the parking lot. The pool was not in working order. Hi toilet wouldn’t even flush in the room but there was nothing that they could do for me at the front desk. We were not allowed to get new washer eggs with you the same wash rags for three days.
I had a very horrible experience here. The room was small. The walls and floor were always wet from humidity I guess. A/C does nothing to cool room. The pool did not even have water. I paid for WiFi and it was like 1 mbps. I woll not come back and will advise to stay away in general.
Although this was one of the cheapest rooms I could find, it was absolutely disgusting. I stayed here because it was close to Ft. Benning, and was in my price range. But to pay $60/night for barely clean sheets, rude staff, and a cockroach in my room?? Not exactly what I had in mind. Plus, its in a very, very bad part of town. I actually witnessed two guys trying to pick up a working woman in broad daylight! I would never stay here again, and would suggest it to no one. Pay a few extra bills to stay somewhere nicer!
I must say I really enjoyed my stay here I been here going on two weeks now..The staff is all so kind and friendly..Its a clean place for family and kids..And if you need anything just pick up the phone and call they come and help you..I enjoy Mr David He is a really good talker and Lord knows I enjoy to talk..They made me come out my shell I was living in.. They are like family now Clean towels clean sheets .best staff ..
I feel it was cheap, however, the alarm kept buzzing (smoke alarm) and I had to ask to be moved. The room was sufficient but it is dated and I really didnt feel the quality that is Motel 6s standard.
It was a nice and clean room, the only problem was no hot water for the shower or sink, and the sink leaked in the bath room causing water to go unto the floor.. Front Desk was nice and friendly overall stay was nice.. Just those few minor problems
The rooms here ant worth the money they charge people 60 dollars taxes they do false advertising here . the water here ant no good u have too wait 10 minutes before u can get in because the water is cold .the maid here walk right into the room the rooms here ant worth the money and loud noisy here. Pros:Very kind staff, the bed wasnt super soft as in all other cheap motels. Its ultra clean, never seen a motel this clean.Cons:Broken vending machine,closed pool, no fridge or microwave in room. A single cockroach found on our way out.
We checked in with 2 pets and the staff is not aloud in our room if we have animals. My fiance and I went to grab lunch and when we came back we found out the staff let our dog out of our room. She has separation anxiety and we are lucky she didnt get taken or hit by a car. The door to our room was left open! Nothing was stolen but i doubt we will be staying at this location again.
Booked over the phone for two weeks at weekly rate. After 5th night and six night was charged extra for those two nights. Manger found that when I checked in they only had me down for one night but seen the amount I paid and decided without calling me to book me for 5 nights. The rate on five nights and a weekly rate are about the same. Manger did refund my credit card for those two nights but decided to move to another hotel in the area because of the extra hassle.

2022-04-24The staff is very friendly, the room is small but it is very clean the price is very affordable. Compared to other hotels in the area this one is great. I am a young lady traveling to military graduation event. As a woman it is difficult to find a place that you feel safe at but I recommend this place. Only downside here is there is no mini fridge.

2022-06-24This place is as awful as awful can be. Dont trust online advertising or pictures. Online boasted a pool and coffee bar in lobby. Upon arrival summer 2022 pool and bar closed due to covid😳😳😒😒mmmhmmm. Okay so onto room. Our 2 full beds did not even have matching linens and there was a queen mattress on a full size frame so there was no way of even sitting on that side of bed without hitting the floor. Our bathroom had torn up door and wall from a huge animal scratching, there were several full time occupants that treated balconies walkways AND STAIRCASES as their personal yard space. (Uncomfortable) I saw housekeeping in a vacant room using febreze on the linens....so are we not easing them today? The refrigerator and microwave in room were not clean AND THERE WERE BUGS!!! Needless to say we checked out early. Save your money. Sleep in your car.

2022-06-22These positive reviews are fake and probably from the staff and their friends. This is the most disgusting disturbing display of a motel room I have ever seen. Theres roaches, bugs, no housekeeping, MOLD, and dust. Hows this place still running. If youre ever in a bad situation I need something quick dont come here. Our room is filthy, We were told we would be moved to a clean room then the staff waited until after check out to tell us they would not move us to a clean room or have anyone clean our room. We had no expectations for this place to be perfect, but this place is a health hazard.

2022-04-10Positive: The frount desk lady was nice Negative: I requested a queen size bed it was barely a double bed. The shower was so small I couldnt barely turn around in the shower. And the toilet was stopped up.and there was only 25 channels on the TV so I had to watch cartoons.

2022-07-02Motel 6 is my go-to. As with the rest it was easy check in and no rush check out. By now Im use to leaving something everytime I stay. Its always there when I call. Staff is awesome, rooms on point, and as always a good nights rest.

2022-03-22Positive: My room had dead and crawling roaches. I took a shower and came out to roaches crawling on the floor and on the wall. I reported to the hotel and was told nothing could be done until the morning. I turned in my key and left. I returned the next morning . Negative: staff wanted to argue with me and told me since I used the shower I could not be refunded for the first night, even though I didn¿t stay there. She never apologized for the roaches or inconvenience it caused me. Terrible. Please verify hotels you use

2022-05-12I came all the way down here from Massachusetts to see my husband graduate basic training and I came by train over 20 hours with 2 children under 5 and 5 months pregnant. There was roaches crawling behind the beds on the walls. The manager threatened to call the cops on me because I demanded cash due to needing to leave with my 2 year old and eight month old. No one helped me bring my luggage or double stroller up the stairs, hurt myself. And its black mold on the shower heads it isnt geim!!grim!!! Im asthmatic and I just cant. Got brusied up from lugging my stuff upstairs to then be switch to another room. 😒

2022-03-10If I could give this place a zero I would! At check in the young lady was super fishy, nothing on the ad for the hotel was correct. Multiple gun shots in the parking lot, woke up with a flat on our commercial truck, $230 repair from a bullet going through the tire, they never called the police! Floors were filthy, the guy at the counter didn’t speak English and then the young kids and dogs playing outside until midnight was it…stay somewhere else if you can!!!!
