Very beautiful cabin, thoroughly enjoyed the stay here! Very clean, all the towels, utensils and amenities needed to make for a perfect getaway. I cant say enough how pleased I was with everything here! Spacious bathrooms, a large downstairs gaming room, and a hot tub just made it unbelievably great. You will not be disappointed. Management was fabulous and very friendly! I will definitely book again! Just be aware there is a $100 cleaning fee attached to all reservations. I did not expect that and we perfectly cleaned the cabin before we left but I understand. Ill book again in the summertime when the foliage will make for an even better view!
We love using Mountain Laurel Cabins. The experience is always seamless and cabins have been great. Anytime I have ever needed to call have had great customer service! Very clear directions and starter amenities are nice, especially the firewood provided for the inside fireplaces! Would love the additions of hair dryers in the bathrooms so one less thing to pack!We have stayed in several of their cabins. Tree Tops is probably our favorite, we have stayed 3 times. BUT be aware the driveway is VERY VERY steep. After it snowed a few years ago we actually slid off the driveway and would have ended up falling down the mountain but we hit a tree stump which stopped us and were eventually able to be towed out. So keep this in mind if there is ANY snow/bad weather expected you may be stuck! Weve still come back (view from the hot tub is GORGEOUS and private and CANNOT be beat!) but we do hold our breath a little going down the driveway!Would absolutely return to stay at another property managed by them and we are already planning our next trip!
We enjoyed a 5 day cabin stay between Christmas and New year. The cabin is big and easily accommodates 8 people. Is is pretty spread out, and you are not on top of each other. We loved the extensive wrap around porch with plenty of seating to enjoy the views. The kitchen was well stocked and had a cutlery selection that matches any of the finer restaurants. We found everything in good working order and did not have to call maintenance at all. There is plenty to do in the Blue Ridge area, and we enjoyed the balance of doing touristy things along with chilling at the cabin. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
The cabin is fantastic. The view is even better. Paved roadway almost all the way so it was no trouble even in my 2 wheel drive pick up truck. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet, the fireplace, and the hot tub. Almost instant hot water and the shower pressure is great. The only addition I would make to this cabin is to put in a dishwasher. Otherwise its perfect. Plenty of cook ware, all the dishes, cups, etc that you need. Beds were comfortable, cant comment on the pillows since we brought our own. The dog enjoyed the cabin too except for the very scary stuffed bear upstairs. Apparently it was too lifelike for her! Check in and check out were super simple using the electronic keypad. We did have one issue with some dogs running loose that tried to attack us so I might suggest carrying pepper spray or something when out walking.
Mountain Laurel Cabins was awesome!! My husband and I loved the cabin we rented for a last minute weekend getaway for ourselves and our friends. The Hidden Acorn was beautiful with a wonderfully modern kitchen. The cabin had all the amenities if a hotel, with all the feeling of comfort and family of a mountainous cabin. We absolutely loved it. The staff the booked it with us was super friendly and thorough. Great for a planned vacation or just a quick weekend getaway. I hated to leave.
We were very happy with the cabin we stayed in. It was very clean and well stocked! Literally all I had to bring was food! Just having a baby in December, mama and daddy needed a getaway and this was the perfect spot to do some relaxing. The hot tub was my very best friend and I hated to leave, but we cant wait to come back! Also, very impressed at the low cost of this beautiful spot!
We will be rating our stay with 2 stars. 2 because the cabin was cozy, the neighbors were nice, and the town was incredible. There are significant improvements needed. The hot tub was green when we arrived. There were old socks under the bathroom sink. Under the beds are disgustingly dirty. It looked as if the cabin hadnt had a touch up clean or dust since the previous people left in the beginning of January. The paddle board and canoe were broken, and the large coffee pot halfway works. We will not be returning to stay with your company.
This is such an amazing cabin! We had an amazing stay. Our family of 5 along with my parents did not feel crowded at all. The 3 levels gave us privacy and the game room kept us all entertained! The kitchen was equipped with many gadgets and all you would need for making your own meals. The view from the back porch was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for more. Comfy beds and hot tub was great too! We would definitely make plans to stay here again if we go back to visit this area!
Our group of 5 stayed in the A Bear Pause cabin. It was very secluded - a little more than we expected - but worked out once we understood the surrounding areas. I would recommend arriving before the sun goes down and using Google Maps. The area was very peaceful and close to town which was a plus. The cabin itself is beautiful and the rooms/bathrooms were very clean. The one critique is the condition of the pool table, the lining was ripped down the middle.Overall working through Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals was an easy and great experience. They were very responsive to all questions. Will definitely use them again to book our next stay.
Makin Memories was unbelievable! The house was just perfect for my family of 9 (3 children) and our grand dog, Max. The children didnt want to leave the house there was that much for them to do, and they said they wished they had this house at home. The house was absolutely gorgeous and the accommodations were first class. It was so large that everyone could get away to their own space for solitude if they needed to. And the kitchen was well equipped for everything you can imagine...!The homeowners did an excellent job making us feel welcome to their home, and Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals was great working with. We will definitely be back and call them directly.
This cabin was fantastic! Everything was spotless clean from the floors to the shower & bedrooms . We would definitely recommend staying at this fantastic home again. The size of the cabin was perfect for our family (my wife & me & our three daughters). Cant wait to come back already.!
Absolutely AMAZING!!! Our family stayed at one of the many cabins for rent last year. We had a wonderful stay. I highly recommend Mountain Laurel Cabins. Truly a wonderful bunch of folks. Cabins are clean, with plenty of accommodations, beautiful wildlife, and fun things to do at the resort, and nearby. This stay was everything our family needed! Big thanks again for being so nice and easy to talk to. We are trying to come back in the next few weeks. If youre looking for the right place for your vacation, please do yourself a favor and contact these fine folks!!!
Fantastic experience! Stayed at A Bear Pause cabin this past weekend and had a lovely time...the cabin was clean, well furnished, and laid out very well for the group of 8 we had. More space than I anticipated based on the pictures. Hot tub was awesome. Just far enough out to feel nice and secluded, but still had close proximity to Blue Ridge. We had an issue with the grill but when we called, the repairman was out in less than 15 minutes and got the issue taken care of quickly - very impressive.
I enjoyed my weekend cabin get away. I only have two minor suggestions. 1. The heat does not flow very well downstairs so a plug in heater is definitely needed. Also, more storage for trash would be nice. There is only one large trashcan that didnt hold our trash.Other than that the cabin is fully equipped with all your needs. The kitchen is overly stocked, extra blankets were awesome, having wood for the fire pit was great, and allowing me an early check in was stellar. The cabin was clear and smelled fresh! The linen, toilet, tubs, fridge was very clean.I would absolutely stay at this cabin again.
We were thrilled with our stay in the Yes Deer cabin! The location and views were perfect! About a 10 minute drive to downtown Blue Ridge, and smack dab in the middle of all the tubing fun along the river! The home was large and cozy (we barely even needed the bottom floor). We will definitely be visiting again and will only stay in the Mountain Laurel Cabins!
The cabin was absolutely amazing! We loved it so much! It was very relaxing and spacious and the hot tub was amazing. We loved that it was secluded and no one was around us.The only negative was that the cabin we stayed in, Squirreled Away, had some parts of the driveway that were hard to get over and both cars, one with 4W drive, barely made it up the driveway so I would be advised about that. Other than that, we loved our stay and would stay again!
A very nice cabin overall. Cozy with a great view. However, the bottom deck with the pool table and darts are listed as an amenity. Both were barely usable and well worn down, and when we arrived the entire deck was soaking wet - even the furniture. There was also some mystery something on one of the high chairs. Needless to say, this area could really use some upkeep / update. The upper cabin completely made up for it in charm / comfort. I would highly recommend staying here.
What a great cabin. There was a little confusion on directions and access (didn’t receive emails with info) but when I called to inquire it was taken care of immediately. The cabin was extremely clean and had everything we needed for the long weekend. Brand new gas grill was awesome and hot tub was good. Really a nice place.
Peaceful and relaxing. Good location and an easy drive to downtown Blue Ridge. Nice to feel secluded but also be close enough to restaurants and shops. The hot tub outside was the best part! The cabin is very rustic and all the doors and large porch area was lovely. The inside feels dated and could use some freshening (towels not very soft) but overall we had a great time.
Very nice cabin. Quaint and comfortable with just enough room for our family of four. The view of the mountains from the back porch was beautiful. The hot tub was nice to relax in and warm up after our day of hiking in the cool fall weather. The cabin was clean, accommodating and pretty close to town, with many hiking and outdoor adventures nearby!
The cabin blew my expectations. It was very cozy and comfortable. The porch had an amazing view of the mountains. The amenities (hot tub, foosball, etc.) were great. Our cabin was pet-friendly and our dog loved it as much as we did. Id definitely recommend it to anyone.
Sunset Ledge is a newly acquired property for Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals and it did NOT disappoint. The cabin provided tvs in all but one bedroom, luxurious linens throughout, ample kitchenware, fun entertainment areas and cozy living accommodations for our party of 6...to say the least. The cabin is well appointed with luxurious decor and furniture and has breathtaking mountain and night sky views. We really enjoyed our evenings by the fire pit, with the fireflies and noises of the woods surrounding us. One week was just not long enough to enjoy this perfect getaway! Thank you Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals for making our family vacation even more memorable!
My husband, our two dogs and I recently stayed at this cabin for a little R&R. First, I would like to say booking was a breeze and the cabin was sooo perfect!!! It was very well equipped and the cleanest, most “truly” dog friendly place we have stayed in all our years of visiting that area ~ which is pretty frequent. We loved the back porch, perfect for listening to the creek and reading a good book. The dogs loved the creek and running around the huge back yard. We were fortunate enough to meet the owner of the home across the creek. He took the time to tell us some interesting stories about the area and the owners of our cabin. After that conversation we understood why this cabin felt so homey & comfortable. He spoke so kindly of them!I am sure we will be returning and we recommend this place to anyone planning a stay in that area. You will not find a more beautiful, cleaner, accommodating home for and your pets!Thank you to the owners for opening your home to us and may God continue to bless your lives & your calling!6/6/19 Steve, Jimmie Ruth, Rufus & Foxy Rector
The cabin was beautiful and roomy. We enjoyed the creek, fire pit, hot tub & grill. The cabin is somewhat secluded and you can walk down the gravel roads and view more scenery. The cell phone service (Verizon) was a little spotty but found out if you go outside or on the porches you can pick up signals better. Our dog enjoyed jumping in and out of the creek and he actually cried / whined in the car when we were leaving. I would highly recommend this cabin.
We have used Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals for years now. Its always a great experience! We just stayed in Alone At Last. The updated shower and the fire pit were awesome! Its nice to be in Blue Ridge. Its just a hour and a half drive from where we live but it feels millions of miles away. Thank you to the owners of the company and the owners of the cabins that allow us to find a little bit of peace in this crazy world. We will be booking another trip in the summer!
We had a great stay. we went straight to the cabin the cabin was clean (except the porch that needed some more attention)it was large enough for all 5 of us. The only real negative comment would be making it safer to go down to the river ( we were only able to go down once because we felt unsafe doing it another time )so if that is going to be an amenity on your site I think I would address that (but the sounds of the river while we ate out side was so relaxing) and more paper products (toilet paper-paper towels)for larger groups with longer stay would be nice also we would have liked a broom my moms a clean fanatic and needed to sweep the kitchen but I would definitely recommend to book with you. Thanks for opening your cabin up to us we needed a break from everyday stress and a river runs by it cabin was the perfect place
This was one of our best mountain cabin stay experiences. We’ve stayed at many different cabins in the past, but there are few that we would stay in twice. I would definitely come back here. It’s clean, spacious, and seems to be a fairly new build. It’s perfectly laid out from top to bottom. The kitchen is enormous and has nice modern fixtures and appliances (even a Keurig which was nice). The baths and bedrooms were all lovely and spacious. We spent a lot of time enjoying the jacuzzi, grill, and great views from the deck. It was so private feeling. We definitely weren’t right on top of other cabins/homes. It’s also perfectly situated near the river which we took advantage of every day. We went fishing or kayaking often. My hubby isn’t generally a big fan of the mountains usually, but this time he did not want to leave. Neither of us did. I will definitely choose Run About Trout for a cabin stay again. Highly recommend it!
This was our first family road trip, and we chose Georgia/Tennessee because it was not too far from home in Florida. Being our first time on the road and in the mountains, we really didn’t know what to expect, but the folks at Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals made it a smooth, wonderful experience. The attention we received during the whole booking process was superb, and the customer service skills of everyone we spoke to amazing. The first cabin we were in had plumbing issues, and as soon as we called that same night, they took care of the problem by switching us to another cabin very close by (which we also loved). We have decided to make this our yearly Thanksgiving mounting trip and will be booking the same cabin with them this time and any other time we are up in the Georgia Mountains.Silvia Ivelisse Perez
The cabin we rented was ideal. It was cute, the right size and had a wood burning fireplace. It was what one would typically expect from a cabin in the mountains. Now, the beds were creaky and needed replacement, the roadway taking you to the cabin needed resurfacing and the neighbors dog barked quiet a bit. Do I think these things were deal breakers? No, but I wouldnt rent this one again. Id be more inclined to go for a higher end offering... I like Mountain Laurel Cabin rental. They seem very customer friendly and responsive. The cabin was impeccably clean when we arrived and stocked with paper products. I intend to use this company again.
Id have to say in my own personal experience that I had nothing but a positive experience with this company and their cabins. I dealt with a man named Keaton and he was extremely honest professional curtiest. I rented one cabin and the hot tub wasnt working without my knowledge and he went above and beyond to give me a call the next morning before I arrived to let me know and I got me into and even better cabin with a working hot tub before I arrived. The entire experience will satisfying. There was nothing negative about my stay the place was completely clean from head to toe well stocked plenty of hot water and everything worked and like I said the best part was every single time that I called key in answered the phone and helped me so I highly recommend this company and their cabins Id give them 7 stars all day long if I could and me and my family will definitely be back soon.
We had a great stay at our cabin. The people at Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals were always available and responsive with our request. The cabin itself was well equipped, in a scenic location and everything was in good working order. The driveway is somewhat difficult to access but you are on the side of a mountain and therefore understandable. I would recommend to others.
Overall a positive experience. Our cabin was very cozy and we enjoyed our stay. No issues with check-in and communications from the company were detailed. I took off a star because we did have some issues: 1.) Wall heater did not work, but there were several space heaters so we were able to stay comfortable for the most part 2.) The email stated we would be provided a roll of paper towels and trash bags. We were not, so we had to go and buy them. 3.) Cabin was very clean with one exception--a lot of female hair on the top/flat sheet of the bed--makes me think only the fitted sheet was changed. If I can offer any other constructive feedback, I think it would be helpful to be provided the address prior to committing to the rental agreement. Youre provided a general idea (get to know proximity to towns), but its helpful to know exact address, as we did not know until days prior that what we thought was an isolated and private cabin was steps from a highway and there was a lot of road traffic, as well as shared a road with a community center. Not quite the private getaway we were hoping for.
This was a beautiful cabin, brand new, and had the perfect location!!! We were so excited to have found this little gem for our family getaway. We LOVE Blue Ridge!!! The property mangagment company, Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals, were great and very responsive. We had a few minor issues with the cabin (the water went out and the hot tub chemicals got off balance), but the management company handled things promptly and even brought us bottled water to help us get through the lack of water. They were able to get everything fixed in a few hours the next morning. We were very pleased with the layout of the cabin, it’s size, and the attention to detail in its craftsmanship. A huge bonus was the game room in the basement. My teenage son basically lived there. The VIEW was breathtaking and faced the East. We will definitely be coming back to stay at Sky Lane again. We highly recommend this cabin and Mountain Laurel Cabin rentals.
This cabin was absolutely stunning. I searched hundreds of cabins and found the perfect one. From the beautiful view of the river from the back door to the fireplace inside. This cabin had everything we needed to feel cozy. Close to many activities in Blueridge and great dining. This company at Mountain Laurel cabin rentals was so helpful and nice. Very accommodating and we will definitely use them again. Thanks again for a wonderful trip.
My husband and I along with our best friends spent 3 nights in Creekside Retreat cabin. To our delight this cabin exceeded our expectations. The cabin is updated and beautifully decorated and came with all the amenities needed to feel right at home. The owners even stocked the kitchen with many spices and condiments for added convenience. The property is private and right on a beautiful creek. It was easy to put our phones down and unwind and enjoy each other’s company. If you seek relaxation and the pleasure of peace and nature this cabin will not disappoint. The staff at Mountain Laurel cabin rentals were friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would recommend them to everyone. Reasonable prices, stocked well, helpful staff, clean and comfortable, We plan on using Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals again in the future. A good trip begins with great company and ends with expectations being exceeded. S. Teresa Burch
We stayed at Poppy’s Mountain House in late June 2018z Cabin was nice and clean. Kitchen was well equipped. Shower was great, bed was comfy. Last stretch of road was gravel but no problems navigating it in the Summer. Only issue was that half of the hot tub jets did not function and the temp would not rise above 97°.Overall I would definitely recommend! Staff at Mountain Laurel answered all my questions beforehand and were great to work with.
The cabin is nice and very spacious. It isnt hard to find using the directions sent. The usage of the keypad was a great touch. I have to say that the temperature inside of the cabin read 80-82 degrees the entire stay which was very uncomfortable. The ceiling fans didnt do the job. I was disappointed with the decks not being clean and all of the spiderwebs. It would have been nice to enjoy sitting out there in the mornings, but that didnt happen. That was a real bummer for me. A few scented plug-ins would add a special touch to this nice place. Also, the television in the master bedroom had no signal the entire stay. With a few adjustments, I would consider staying here again.
The cabin was beautiful, awesome setting and view! Unfortunately the hot tub( which we were really looking forward to using) broke down. They sent maintenance to us fairly quickly to see if they could fix it but they had to order a part. We were pretty disappointed when mountain Laurel could only compensate us 10 percent as the hot tub was a huge part of booking this property.
So happy we chose Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals. They were very easy to work with. Very friendly and there for you with any questions or problems. We had a great cabin! little tricky to get to but worth the climb up the mountain. Very clean and beautifully decorated. Everything you need is stocked except for food of course. This was our first time renting and we will definitely rent again. Such a beautiful place did not want to leave such a beautiful peaceful place.
We decided to take a last minute trip to the mountains and were able to book a cabin with Mountain Laurel Cabins. This was our first time booking here and it was such a great experience. Great communication upon booking with easy check in and out. The cabin was beautiful just as advertised and conveniently located while ensuring privacy. We would highly recommend and will hope to book again in the future.
I booked this cabin as a surprise getaway for my husband. The staff was friendly, courteous & very helpful with my many questions & my planning. I chose the “stock the fridge” option & that was the greatest thing ever. We walked into the cabin with music playing & a stocked kitchen. All we had to do was relax & enjoy it! I highly recommend this quaint cabin with an awesome view. The relaxing sound of the running creek was an added bonus. We will definitely be back!
What a lovely cabin Mountain Lake Hideaway is! Its conveniently situated halfway between Blue Ridge and Ellijay and not too far off the main road. Cabin was well furnished and exceptionally clean. We loved the dock and floating on the lake. Hot tub was clean and we had no trouble figuring it out. King bed was comfortable and we loved that everything was on one level. Gas grill was a plus! We cant wait to stay here again. We booked on line and cabin was ready and waiting for us! Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals was great to do business with!
Cherokee Sunset is the most serene and peaceful cabin Ive ever rented! The view is beautiful from every deck! The cabin itself is better equipped than my own home; there are three king size beds that are very comfortable, the kitchen has everything you could possibly want or need including a Keurig. There is a perfectly lovely screened in porch that is furnished with enough seating for six or more people and has an outside fireplace. And to top it all off, its pet friendly so we were able to bring our little Bumbles with us.And the management at Mountain Laurel was friendly and professional and the check-in / check-out process is amazingly easy because they have an electronic door knob and you just put your code.My family and I look forward to coming back many times. The only negative is that the last road to the cabin is gravel. All the other roads are asphalted.
Excellent experience for our whole group! I was concerned, if not worried, about fitting 21 persons ages 11 to 59 in a cabin, but to our delight, it surpassed our expectations. Accommodation was easy and very comfortable. Location and view were majestic and so convenient! Secluded but not far from main road and town. 4x4 is convenient for the gravel road, but not absolutely necessary. None of our four vehicles was 4x4. Super clean and ready for us. Game room was ideal for the kids at night. Thanks so much to the owners and Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals for allowing us to enjoy this wonderful property!
My friends and I went to these cabins to celebrate my birthday for the weekend. The cabin was very clean, stocked very well with cookware and utensils, grills and charcoal. Theres was plenty of sleeping space as well. The hot tub was great! I was very pleased with the price as well as the cabin itself. We had a great time! Would definitely recommend if you just need a getaway! Very peaceful
We stayed at Cheery Dog Cabin. The cabin was perfect for our family and doggie! Every attention to detail that you guys put in so the guests feel at home is incredible. Extra towels, very comfy beds, all kinds of kitchenware, and even things for our dog! We needed a very quiet, peaceful, and uneventful vacation, and this was it. We recharged and enjoyed nature.
Perfect location for our retreat and the best view Ive ever had from a Blue Ridge cabin! It is about a 15 minute drive from downtown Blue Ridge but a beautiful one. Very spacious cabin, great kitchen, very clean. Only complaint is a broken temperature adjuster on the hot tub.
We spent a week in Bear Hammock cabin and had a great stay. The view was amazing, the cabin was very nice and clean, and “pet friendly” is an understatement... this place was pet welcoming - they provided dog bowls in a nice holder cut from a log and the furniture was a bit worn from pets laying on them but also very well cleaned! We all loved our stay here and can’t wait to come back. Blue Ridge and nearby towns are very scenic and have great restaurants and shops. We will be making this a regular vacation spot.
We rented a cabin this past week and absolutely loved it. We stayed at Birds Eye View and it did have an amazing view. The cabin was well represented by the photos and very clean. The only thing that would have made the stay better is if the beds were more comfortable. We slept in the master bedroom and kept tossing and turning all night. The next night we laid on the other beds in the cabin and did not find them to be any better. The directions from Mountain Laurel said not to use GPS to find our cabin. I did a little comparing of their directions vs google maps and they were pretty much identical. Google Maps GPS took us straight to the cabin with no problems whatsoever. We will definitely be using Mountain Laurel cabin rentals again. Hopefully we can get the same cabin again as well. The rental agency was very non-invasive. They emailed me a door code and a check-out door code. We were very secluded and were able to rest and relax with no interruptions. Highly recommend!
My husband and I stayed in the “Yes Deer” cabin and it was beyond expectations. Be sure to read in the description of the cabin that it does require a 4x4 vehicle because I did have to use 4x4 to make it up the driveway to the cabin with no problems. We had an absolutely gorgeous view of the sunrise and sunset over the mountains while swinging or rocking on the front porch. The cabin was very clean and had plenty of towels and toiletries provided. It has a very at home feeling to it, very welcoming and even has board games! My husband and I couldn’t wait to get back after a night out to revisit our childhood playing battleship. We visit the mountains every year but typically stay in Gatlinburg, but we will definitely be coming back here from now on! I could not have asked for a better stay!
We rented the Serendipity cabin for our honeymoon and it could not have been more perfect. We spent most of our time there relaxing on the comfy couch and in the hot tub. The shower was awesome. It was close proximity to everything we needed in Blue Ridge. My husband even went to the gym every morning. When we first arrived, our lock code didnt work - I called customer service and it was fixed immediately while I was on the phone with them. Absolutely, no other issues.
Wonderful cabin for our Ladies get-away weekend. Bear Lake Lodge provided plenty of space inside and out. Very clean with every amenity. Loved the use of canoes (also brought our kayaks) for the small lake. The hot tub was awesome for relaxing at night. Loved sitting on the back porch listening to the creek.
We have stayed at multiple Mountain Laurel cabins and once again all our expectations were either met or exceded. Serendipity was as advertised it was what we were looking for. Its secluded enough yet not to far of a drive to town. The cabin was wonderfully decorated and very clean. Enjoyed the hot tub which is very private on the back, screened porch. We will definitely be staying at another cabin in the future.
This cabin was absolutely phenomenal! It is so true to the pictures posted online. Nicely decorated and equipped with everything you need. Loved the awesome deck, fire pit, jacuzzi and creek running alongside the property. Beautiful scenery. A nice quiet, peaceful getaway. We will definitely be returning.
We loved this cabin, it was comfortable and cozy. It had a spectacular view and was close to grocery store and Downtown Blue Ridge area. There were also things we found not so spectacular. There were things that we needed that we feel should have been supplied. We had to go purchase hand soap for bathrooms and extra dish towels. The cabin was not clean. Dusty, Cob webs (huge) and the dishes were filthy. We washed them before we used them! My husband had to clean out the heat vents because at night those sleeping on futon froze, they were filled with huge balls of fur/dust and insulation. We didnt let any of this ruin our time there! I would return if they take our comments into consideration and get a different cleaning crew!We loved all the hiking and places to visit! It was an active vacation and we loved the area!
We rented a 1 bedroom/ 1 1/2 bath cabin “Arapaho” for two nights during the week (Tues/Wed) to tend to some business in BR. The cabin was clean and very cozy for a couple. There were bunk beds in a lower loft area if you had small kids but it is an open area so no privacy. The basement living room was also comfortable with a gas fireplace. We were very pleased with the cabin. Be advised -as is common in the mountains the road leading to the cabin is a one lane gravel road so driving slow and cautiously is necessary. We had a slight issue getting into the cabin with the code on arrival but Carmen in the business office quickly resolved that and was very gracious. We have rented from Mountain Laurel previously and have not been disappointed yet.
Mountain Laurel Cabins was amazing! The staff was professional, easy to communicate with, & very accommodating. Our cabin was also awesome! Exceptionally clean, & extremely nice. Could not have picked a better one. It was beyond perfect for our family & dog. We would definitely book another vacation through this company, & also recommend to friends. 👍🏻 Thank you for making our family trip to north Georgia so wonderful! ☺️
This is our second time staying at The Paradise Lodge, we keep coming back to this place for a reason! It has plenty of space and was perfect for two families. There were nine of us all together, but plenty more could have fit comfortably. I love the fact that there are no back neighbors and the cabins are not close to each other. This cabin in particular has a great fire pit to enjoy. The game room could use a little updating, but we enjoyed playing pool and air hockey. The view of the mountains was perfect and relaxing. Thank you for another great trip!
Absolutely a great mountain getaway! The cabin was clean and had everything we needed and was close enough for quick runs to store for food. Had a lovely little creek. Well definitely recommend Mountain Laurel Rental to anyway looking to get away! I know we are already looking forward to using them next spring!!
The cabin was absolutely beautiful and off in a secluded area of its own it was well stocked with plenty of supplies etc. The day of departure me and my husband do not want to leave. Will I recommend this cabin and Mountain Laurel Cabin Rental yes because they made checking in easy. I will recommend you all put a sign with the name of the cabin at the end of the road so people will know the cabin is up there. It took us a good minute to find it. Overall we loved it and will be back
This was the second time I have been to Sleeping Bear Cabin and both times were really good. The cabin is clean, beds very comfortable, there was plenty of room for everyone. This time we came mainly to get away and relax for a few days. We rode the train and did a little shopping. We enjoyed being at the cabin by the fireplace playing games and having fun. The kitchen is nice, we enjoyed cooking and just being together. Petting the horses and the neighbors dog was also nice. The cabin is in a good location, close to Blue Ridge and Ellijay. I look forward to coming back to this cabin again.
Had so much fun!! Initially, we had picked a different cabin, but due to icy weather, that cabin was unavailable. Kim from the office worked to give us this option and it was amazing. The Lonesome Dove cabin was beautiful! Spacious rooms, luxurious bathrooms, the most relaxing hot tub! Gorgeous views from a huge porch and balcony! There were so many amazing mountain views, everything was just perfect! We didnt want to leave! Loved it so much!
This was a great trip! The cabin was very clean. The hot tub was clean and hot. Very nice area and the people of blue ridge very welcoming and friendly. There was plenty to do. We hiked to water falls, took a historic train ride and shopped at all the cute little shops. We WILL be back! Thank you!
A group of us ladies went to the cabins for a relaxing weekend of fun. We were not disappointed. The weather was perfect the first two days we were there, and we had the opportunity to enjoy the mountain views, crispy clean air, and fresh smells of nature in its prime. Building the perfect camp fire after dinner and luxuriating in the hot tub were just two of the high points of our experience. The luxury cabin was chock full of amenities such as a screened sun porch, wood-burning fireplace, and full game room. Our sleeping arrangements were cozy and comfortable, with each cabin situated on private cliffs overlooking the lake and all of natures best. I cant say enough about this magical getaway!
Overall we had a pleasant stay in our cabin this past weekend. The cabin was clean and fit our needs for a quick weekend getaway. The gas fireplace and hot tub worked as expected and added to our stay. There were a couple of frustrations/surprises. We asked before booking if the cabin was easily accessible for a small, low-to-the-ground car and were told there was nothing in the notes for the cabin about poor access. However, the road/driveway up to the cabin was pretty rough. It had washed out areas and very steep inclines. We made it to the cabin but decided not to come and go during our stay so we wouldnt have to travel on the driveway any more than necessary. The real surprise was when a not-so-small bear wandered onto the back deck of the cabin a couple of hours after we arrived. Thankfully we were in the cabin (getting ready to go out) and didnt meet him/her face-to-face. If it was a known fact that bears wander onto the deck (which I assume was known since there were claw marks on the trash cans on the deck) we thought it would be prudent to put up a gate to discourage them. At least a bear crashing/tearing through a gate would provide some warning of its arrival before it just walked up on a guest sitting on the deck or in the hot tub.
We stayed at Cherry Acres cabin for our honeymoon and loved it. We really enjoyed the swing on the screened in porch and the swing down by the lake. We also really enjoyed the hot tub each night. We really enjoyed the peacefulness and the privacy while we were there. It was a little hard to find as we arrived very late at nightearly morning and wished that there was some kind of sign that said Cherry Acres or had the name of the cabin as you were turning down the road to the cabin. We will definitely be staying with Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals again in the future and would recommend your cabins to everyone.
We stayed in Appalachian Escape, and had the most relaxing time. This cabin far exceeded our expectations. We have never booked through Mountain Laurel before, but it certainly wont be our last. The ease of booking was exceptional. All instructions were clear and arrived at the scheduled time. I didnt have to speak with anyone, everything was done by email instructions. The cabin was very clean and well maintained. We were very happy with our stay.
I happen to be a frequent guest at Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals and I must say that the service is always Excellent. I must say that this particular cabin that I stayed at this past weekend was by far the best. Beautiful Mountain View’s, very private and comfortable and more than anything, it was very relaxing and cozy. The name of this Awesome Cabin is Drifting Feathers!!
Perfect size cabin! There was 7 of us and we could of easily had 3 or 4 more. Tastefully decorated and the kitchen was well stocked. We really enjoyed the hot tub and game room. The only downside was no lake view (I would of given 5 stars if on lake). But if secluded and woodsy is what youre looking for, this place is great!! Mountain laurel rentals were very good to work with as well, as we had a last minute cabin switch due to inclement weather.
This was our first trip to Blue Ridge. And it was awesome! The cabin was more than We expected! It felt like home. We loved that we could bring our dog and he didn’t have to be confined to his kennel all the time. He loved the upstairs porch! The cabin was extra clean and had everything we needed. It rained the first night we were there so the hot tub and game room came in handy. Overall we were very pleased and were saddened to leave. We will definitely be back and will use Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals again!
We had such a peaceful time at the cabin. There is a book of activities and adventures in the cabin that was very helpful! Everything was as expected and the owners were gracious enough to refund us for one night because we had to leave early for an emergency. They also gave us a discount for the next time we stay there. Would definitely stay here again! This may have been mentioned in the details and I just missed it, but renters need to know to bring their own charcoal for the grill and firewood for the fire pit.
The stay at TreeTop Cabin was great the views are spectacular, got really good pictures of the sun reflecting over mountains. The 3 bedrooms are good size the bathroom really large.Only if you are from city like we were..and used too not a steep entrance but my SUV did great. We enjoyed how well stocked with all kitchen needs and how clean the cabin was.We ventured out during the day but didnt stay after sundown just to play it safe going up the mountain. My granddaughters and the men enjoyed playing pool.Truly made great memories and hope to come back again..as we were unable to do all things that are available to do for fun in the area.Ingles Supermarket is really close and has everything you need for your stay.I loved the gas stove. I cant wait to come back..Thanks Laurel Mountain Cabins ❣
This cabin has stunning views! We checked out a few other decks/views from nearby cabins and this one was by far the best. Breathtaking!Getting there was a bit frightening. We were happy to have rented a 4wd suv to get up the cabin, but think it would have been okay if we used a high sitting truck. The road has sharp, tight turns and is mostly just dirt and gravel. The cabin itself was nicely decorated inside (considerably modern and not at all tacky). The beds and pillows were perfect in every room- not too soft or firm. The private deck attached to the master was very romantic. I brought my own hammock and slept on the deck some nights. My one complaint was the cleanliness of the cabin. The kitchen counters were dirty, sticky and full of crumbs. There were cobwebs in the showers. There is a sofa in the lower deck with what appears to be love stains on the cushion. That bothered us very much and made us wonder what else may not have been cleaned thoroughly.
What a beautiful vacation we had! We were originally going to stay at the Cardinals nest cabin. When we arrived we were extremely disappointed. We called Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals and they immediately addressed our issues and relocated us to a cabin called Firefly. They saved our vacation that we get once a year. After 13 hours of being in a car, the evening we arrived, we were able to relax and enjoy our evening and the next 4 days after that. We hated to leave, but we know well be back . Special thanks to Carmen and all who helped. The Firefly Cabin is absolutely perfect.
Overall, the cabin and experience receives a 5 Star rating!!!! Everything was absolutely GORGEOUS, super spacious, scenery was breath taking and time spent well worth it!! Only little problems were hot water not working 2 nights in a row and few bugs here and there. The lower bedroom, the comforter had dirt on it. But that’s small considering how amazing the entire stay was...would recommend to anyone and consider returning
We had a wonderful stay on Rocking Chair Ridge!!! The problem was getting off of the porch! I just wanted to sit there for hours. The view was incredible!!! The cabin was beautiful and really clean. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were really clean. The only thing you could hear was the babble of the brook below. We loved it! The staff were a pleasure to work with. We could not have asked for more. Thank you Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals!
We took a couples trip to the cabin for NYE and we plan to make it a tradition. The cabin looked exactly like the photos! It was spacious, cozy and super private. The owners decorated every room and really made it festive and we truly got to relax. We were a little disappointed to find that they didnt have what we needed to build fires in the fireplaces (make sure you plan for this) but once we got them going it really made the spacious cabin feel nice and cozy! We couldnt get enough of the porch (even though it was freezing) but we are looking forward to our next cabin trip.
The cabin we rented from Mountain Laurel Cabins was great! This makes the second time we have rented from them both times they have been great in care and service. This last time I had to call about a maintenance item and they quickly got someone to reach out to me and they were quick to get someone out there. Great service and cabins from this rental company. We had a beautiful spacious cabin with large areas for the family or families to hang out inside and out with plenty to do. 2 large decks with great views of the Toccoa River and a hill on the other side that we saw deer on each night. Their is also a large deck at the edge of the river but we enjoyed it from the decks especially with 5 little kids. It was not far from the hatchery and rock creek or coopers creek. Coopers Creek store is just a short 5 minute drive away which nice when you forget coffee.
Overall the cabin was fine. I would have preferred that the rooms inside be dusted before we arrived and the outside screened in porch as well. Some of the furnishings outside were pretty worn and some cushions need to be replaced. The beds were very comfortable and it was great to have a full sized washer and dryer. When the coffee maker wouldnt work correctly, they replaced it with a new one that same day. We would stay there again as the location was secluded but also just a 5 min drive to the grocery store and Blue Ridge Lake.
Let me start by saying we rent a cabin in Blue Ridge at least once, usually twice a year. This is the first time I have ever given a low review! While the pictures and descriptions sound wonderful, we were very disappointed with the accommodations. The full size bed was incredibly uncomfortable and the couple in that room slept very little because if it. The kitchen was not stocked well (utensils, pans...) for cooking at the cabin. There are no horseshoes so don’t plan on playing unless you bring your own. (We did reach out to Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals about them and they said they are not an amenity, but it was listed as an amenity on Home Away which is how we rented. Having it listed as an amenity prevented us from bringing our cornhole set from home which was frustrating to our crew)While you can walk down to the river, it is so overgrown on the bank you can’t even really stand by it and definitely can’t fish or get in and out if you want to swim. Now what was fun was fishing in one of the ponds. Everyone enjoyed it very much! We also enjoyed sitting around the fire pit every evening.
We loved the cabin. Good for 3 to 4 people max. The road to get to the cabin was small, partially unpaved, and long, like a maze. The only 2 things we didnt like were the grill, which it was very dirty when we got there , and the hot tub, the ports where the filter is, i was rusty, it didnt look pleasant for us to get in, which it was disappointing, we were looking forward to it. Besides that, the cabin was nice and cozy. We enjoyed our stay at the mountains. Its our third time going to the mountains, and our second time with Mountain Laurel Cabins.
This cozy cabin nestled right next to a moving stream was the perfect getaway for our girls trip! We loved watching t.v. at night on the screened porch while roasting marshmallows in the outdoor fireplace. Relaxing in the hot tub was a great way to end the day. The cabin is rustic and tastefully furnished. Gave us the warm, cozy feeling we were looking for! Would definitely choose this cabin again! Thanks for the wonderful stay!
We had a blast!. The location was perfect. We were right off the highway and in close proximity to food and fun. The cabin could not have been more perfect. The view of the hills from the wraparound deck was priceless. The bedroom and bathroom on the main was ideal for a member in out party. Even with the updated appliances and furniture it did not distract from how close we were to nature. We are looking forward to another visit.
This was such a great place for a weekend getaway! The cabin was beautiful and the beds are super cozy and comfortable! And the views from our cabin were amazing. The staff is also super friendly and helpful which goes a long way. Would definitely recommend this place. The only thing that I wish was there was instructions on how to get the jacuzzi out of sleep mode 😕. Took us a while to figure that out on our own. But other than that two thumbs up!!
Beautiful cabin we had a great time. The deck over the creek is perfect, however its a long walk and many steps to get there but well worth it. The cabin is equipped with all you need, fire pit is a great bonus. Love the upstairs shower. We will definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.
Our stay at the cabin was amazing! The ease of checking in and out made things so much better. We didnt have to stop somewhere to check in before we could go to the cabin and we didnt have to stop somewhere else after we left the cabin to checkout. The cabin clean and had plenty of towels, garbage bags, and soap. It was very quiet and relaxing. We will definitely be coming back next year.
This location was amazing. I went on a couples trip for the weekend. We had such an amazing time. The cabin was spacious, yet cozy. It was really clean & we were able to do zip lining and horseback riding not to far away. The employees at the office responded quickly to emails which made planning and Che king in s breeze. We are already planning to go back with our families.
The cabin was clean and beautiful. The atmosphere was calm and peaceful and the cabin was sufficiently stocked with appliances utensils dishes and pots and pans. A multitude of towels and plenty of comfy beds. Quiet and ample indoor and outdoor space. The whole family loved the ping pong and electronic basketball games. Definitely will stay at a Mountain Laurel Cabin again. The staff was great and answered all questions and always replied quickly. Great short vacation stay. Wish we had longer.
Extremely disappointed with the cabin that we rented for a long weekend with friends. First, the cabin was advertised as having 3 bedrooms, but it did not mention that one of the bedrooms was an open loft room and that another bedroom had no door on it! For us, privacy is key when two families with kids are sharing a home. This was surprising to us and disappointing that we were not aware of this before renting. Secondly, the house was filthy! Im all for a rustic fishing cabin in the woods, but this house had not been cleaned thoroughly in awhile. There was a thick layer of white dust on everything that caused all of us to get sick with allergies. The kitchen and bathroom floors were dirty, the cabinets with dishes were nasty, and one of the toilets had disgusting splatters on it! It was so gross! We didnt bother contacting the company while we were there, because we felt that we would have had to leave the house while they cleaned, and we didnt want to do that. I sent an email about it after returning home, and the company did not contact me at all. Very disappointing.
We had a wonderful time! The heat was a bit much at times, we had to open the doors and windows to cool down. Also, because of the way the cabin sits on the mountain, it was not the best parking wise. We had a small problem with ladybugs on the main floor especially in the living room, but the Cabin was fully equipped with plenty to do and spacious enough for me and 8 of my friends. I’m going to miss that view it was so stunning. Great for relaxation and fun. Would definitely recommend.
The cabin was nice and roomy. Hot tub not working when we first tried it but maintenance man was very prompt. Thermostat temp - had to keep it almost hot in the middle because no heat downstairs. This meant we had to use the fan in the upstairs bedroom. Might suggest to bring own pillows if you have allergies. I think pillows in the loft bedroom were feather. The view was gorgeous and the cabin is located close to town. Would stay again.
Stayed in the Serenity Cabin and it was incredible. The location is secluded and quiet which is exactly what we were looking for. The grill worked well and we were able to cook delicious meals while drinking delicious wine. The Jacuzzi was clean, hot and ready. The mountain air was clean and crisp. There was dry fire wood ready when we arrived. Absolute beauty. 10/10 recommend if youre looking for a quiet getaway
We loved staying at Serendipity cabin for four days! It was perfect size and most things were easy to figure out. Lovely themed decoration. We did burn popcorn in microwave since turntable doesnt work and were not able to get exterior tv by hot tub to work. But otherwise that area is quite scenic and relaxing to visit. Would definitely go back.
First time using Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals and I would definitely use them again. The booking and check in process was so easy. I just wish I could of had an earlier check in time then 4pm. A wasted day not being able to do much waiting for my cabin to be ready. We stayed at Aska retreat with our dog and the view was gorgeous and place was very clean when we arrived.
The cabin has excellent views. You definitely want to use a pick up or other vehicle that has decent clearance to get up to this cabin. The rental company was very good with communication. The only down side was that the oven only had one good working burner and the fireplace doesn’t vent properly and there was a little smoke. Otherwise a good trip.
The cabin was lovely. We only had one issue I emailed them about. So hopefully they will correct that. The property was private and surrounded by woods. The porch was very inviting and great to enjoy a cup of coffee on. There was two large rooms both with its own bathroom. The hot tub was great and relaxing. I did not get to speak to anyone or met anyone. Check in and out was all done at the convenience of your email.
We stayed at the peak of the fall season. The color was splendid and we saw a light snow. The cabins at Mountain Laurel are clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfy and the kitchen was totally equipped with anything we needed. We brought a crock pot with us but found 2 in the kitchen!I really love these cabins! We will be going again in the spring.
Cabin was wonderful, although there werent any instructions on the thermostats since their were two of them in the cabin. No information in the cabin notebook about locating and adjusting them. The previous renters must have thought the basement thermostat controlled the whole cabin since it was turned down to 68 degrees which was absolutely freezing. While the upper two levels were at 80 degrees but we had to hunt down the second thermostat after it became extremely hot in the cabin. The cabin location is very secluded and there should be a minor caution posted in the description that the driveway into the cabin is quite steep and a blind curve as well. The amenities were great, showers were spectacular and the kitchen was amazing. Closest restaurant was 12 miles away so that was a slight drawback, but grilling at the cabin and the fresh mountain air was rejuvenating. Knowing what to expect, we might choose a place a little closer to town next time, but for seclusion, this one was perfect.
Everything was perfect! Great agents to work with. Beautiful view with peaceful atmosphere Our cabin had all the amenities we normally require. All for a reasonable price. We are very pleased! This was not the 1st time we have used Mountain Laurel and it wont be the last!
Me and my husband visited for our anniversary and did not want to leave! The quiet time was amazing and the cabin was beautiful. We stayed in the Arapaho. It was just like a home away from home. The locals in blueridge were all so nice. This was our first time but definitely not our last. The process to rent was also very easy and quick. Not hassle. No fuss. The cabin looked exactly like the photos but prettier in person. And everything is provided just bring food with you because you are a good ways away from town. But it is an affordable getaway and all you need is food. Loved it!
This cabin was wonderful. It is actually nicer in person than it shows in the pictures. It has everything you need and it feels like luxurious. The only thing I would advise the owners to do is to add a table on the balcony so that we could eat outside and chairs by the river, but overall, I would return without hesitation. It a beautiful and peaceful house on the river.
We stayed in a beautiful cabin with 3 bedrooms, 3 baths. What we liked most about the cabin was the hot tub worked great, and the pool table was loads of fun! The gas fire pit was really great for s’mores and an excellent amenity! The only down side of the house was, it was not secluded AT ALL! We had neighbors very close on both sides, so maybe that should be included in the description of the property. Overall, it was a wonderful and relaxing weekend!! We rent with Mt. Laurel Cabin Rentals every year(sometimes more than once) and will continue to do so! They are the best rental company in Blue Ridge!
We had a group of 10 that stayed at the Appalachian Promise in Blue Ridge. This is a very secluded and private cabin. Kids loved playing on all the video games, pool table and air hockey. This cabin is very spacious and well laid out. Great weekend with out any issues. I highly recommend the Appalachian Promise . Mountain Laurel staff are always professional and courteous. Cant wait to make plans for another trip.
Absolutely beautiful! Exactly the relaxation we were looking for. Cabin was better than expected and met all our needs and wants. I was a little worried about how my husband would like it and he came away saying he cant wait for next year and even hopes we might get lucky and be able to stay in the same place! I am already recommending to all my friends and family. Every aspect of our getaway from booking to check out was amazing!!!
My family absolutely loved our stay! Everything was perfect! We stayed in the Sugar Maple cabin. The cabin was beautiful and everything we needed was readily available! We spent a lot of time playing pool and relaxing in the awesome hot tub. Horseshoe Bend Park was a great little picnic/fishing spot and it was less than a mile away. The only down side for us was no tv in the bedrooms. My kids tend to like to watch a little tv before falling asleep other than that not a single complaint. Our location was great! Driving instructions were extremely important because GPS will not work! Thanks to the staff for making that very clear! We are already calling today to book our next stay! The staff is awesome and we highly recommend a stay with Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals!!
WE have stayed with Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals many times over the past 5 years. We have never had any issues with the cabins until last week. Just a couple of minor issues such as the door code and the hottub quit working. I was amazed at how fast they took care of these issues. The hot tub was fixed within an hour and the door code was a phone call. Ive never had to utilize what i would call their customer service, but it was outstanding. We stayed with them just last week in Barefoot Lodge. This was an excellent cabin for the girls. Lots of wildlife roaming around. The girls got to see Deer and a lot of Turkeys. This will be a cabin we rent in the future. We do try and stay at different places everytime we come up. Treetops is another excellent choice. The girls at Mountain Laurel are a pleasure to deal with and customer service is excellent. I would never go anywhere else.
The atmosphere, location and size of Southern Cross Lodge were perfect. The cabin was very spacious for the seventeen of us and could have easily accommodated more. The price was very reasonable for the size of this cabin. The staff was helpful, responsive, and available. We had a wonderful time and will definitely book this cabin again!
This was our third stay with Mountain Laurel! We stay in a different cabin each time and have always enjoyed ourselves. Majestic Pines, Three Bears, and Anglers Rest were all fantastic. Each cabin has been very peaceful and there is a great hiking trail nearby. The only real complaint I have is that last year a snow storm came in while we were in the cabin and we could not drive off of the mountain (Floridians and snow do not mix) - we had severe loss of traction and at one point rolled down the mountain backwards. We called the office to see if they could help us in any way and basically told us we were on our own. Luckily a resident was willing to drive us off the mountain! I would encourage the cabin company to warn guests PRIOR to their visit that a big storm is coming and if they are not comfortable driving in snow, offer to reschedule their stay. But all in all, Mountain Laurel is great and I would recommend staying in any of their cabins!
My visit to the cabin was great. The cabin was clean and had everything i needed to accommodate my family. To me it would sleep way more than 8 people. My recommendations would be to have more baby gates for families that have babies also the hot tub would not go past 99. Other than that i recommend this cabin to anyone.
Id give this a 4-5 star but it was a lot of little things that just require better management. The good: You cant beat the location. Right on the water. We had a blast swimming and fishing (and caught a few!). The cabin is as described. It also came stocked with some of the essentials but dont forget your bathroom gear and coffee. Hot tub was a nice touch. The refrigerator door drawers and bottom constantly fell 6-7 times leaving 20 bottles of water thrown everywhere. The lighting out toward the back is non-existent and was very dangerous at night for the senior citizens in our group with the stone patio not being flush. The pillows on the bed were terrible (usually bring my own but forgot). The garage smelt so bad like mold that we just didnt use it.
Our friends (husband and wife) and my wife and I found the cabin great for our weekend getaway. We had a great time playing downstairs in the game room. We enjoyed preparing a meal in the kitchen and on the grill. We even had time to sit in the hot tub for a couple of hours. It has a great view of the valley and part of the lake. You feel secluded even though there are other cabins around. We hope to do it again sometime.
We stayed at 3 bears cabin for 3 days and it was absolutely amazing. We will definitely go back and recommend to others. It was so peaceful and the scenery was amazing, which was definitely what we wanted, a moment of solitude. 3 bears cabin was very clean and very updated. I love how homely and comfortable it felt. The only issue was getting there, because the bridge was under construction. We had to navigate a few times to find the new route which was a little difficult. We knew a head of time About the changes in direct from the staff so we were prepared, and they were very helpful. Other than getting to the cabin, everything exceeded expectations.
Mountain laurel cabin rental was very accommodating to us when we had to reschedule our get away two times due to medical reasons outside of our control. My husband and I were finally able to escape to the mountains and thoroughly enjoyed it. Creekside comfort was very charming and quaint. We enjoyed the fire pit and the sounds of the creek. We were astonished by the size of the cow on the other side of the creek and very please that they were not bears! No cell reception was a blessing. Please take note to bring charcoal for the grill as there is not a gas grill. But the kitchen is well equipped with cooking utensils.
One of my best vacations ever! The cabin was perfect for our family. The location was secluded yet close to town. The staff at Mountain Laurel cabin rentals was awesome! A minor issue with the hot tub brought the mountain laurel staff within 30 minutes and it was resolved.
We enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for our family vacation. When we got there the light in the kitchen would not come on. I called and they where very nice and offered to send someone out right then and it was like 930 at night. I told them that the next day would be fine. The maintenance man that came was very nice and talked with my two young kids and very friendly to them. Did not seem to bug him at all that they wanted to know what he was doing and asking questions. We will use them again!
Our stay at the Deepwater Lodge in June 2019 wasn’t great. In fact, it was really disappointing. I will say that my communication prior to checking in was good. Clear directions and check-out instructions. Here are some of the things that were unacceptable:Roaches found in the kitchen.Dirty sheets with what looked like public hairs.Mold on the wall in downstairs shower. Most of us showered upstairs, meaning one shower among seven people.Trash and poison ivy along the trail to the lake.No slip guard on the stairs to the lake. My husband slipped and hurt his back.It was extremely cold downstairs, regardless of adjusting the thermostat.Sawdust in the kitchen cabinet (left of the oven). We suspect termites.A lot of the dishes were dirty when we arrived. No instructions about what to do with towels in the check out instructions. Not enough light on the porch. But they ask guests not to move lamps so it was too dark to enjoy at night. We’ve shared this feedback with Mountain Laurel in the hope that they will improve the conditions of this rental. But until they do, we wouldn’t recommend staying at this rental property.
The staff at Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals were very friendly and helpful. I had family coming into town from several different states for my wedding and we were able to find a beautiful cabin large enough to accommodate my family and everyone had an absolutely wonderful time. We all hope to be able to get together again next year at the same cabin.
Easy check in. We didn’t have propane for the grill and maintenance came right out and exchanged the tank. Rooster’s Roost is a great cabin! Close to town. there is a new winery 5 minutes away and grumpy old men brewery is just 5 minutes away. Cabin is decorated nicely and is very clean. It is also dog friendly.
This was our first experience renting through Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals. I dont know any other cabins but the one we stayed in and it was pretty good!We chose the Majestic Pines Cabin and it was just as expected from the pictures and super clean. The hot tub was in good working order, it was clean and looked well taken care of.We had no real issues except running out of toilet paper but thankfully we werent that far from the store and was able to remedy that rather quickly and the bedroom tv cable didnt work but we didnt care that much.Overall we really liked it and will probably rent it again. Hopefully well have the same experience!
The cabin we rented, Misty River, was wonderful. The setting was perfect and check in and out couldnt have been easier. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Only complaint was that the wifi wasnt working and we called the office twice each time being told someone was coming out to fix it and nobody ever came. Was hoping to get a little work done in this peaceful setting but was unable to. Still loved our stay.
The cabin we originally had booked was unavailable due to a power outage caused by the weather, so the company did a fantastic job moving us into another cabin in a timely manner. It was all taken care of before we arrived & we were able to enjoy our stay eith no problem! We loved the Safe Haven cabin they placed us in and we will definitely be back! It was just what we needed to get away from it all. My favorite details from the place are the back porch looking out into the trees and the large garden tub in the master bath. It was like a dream!
Beautiful cabin! Very clean! This would have definitely been a 5 star review, but there were a couple of small problems. The refrigerator would not get cold. There is a note on the side of the refrigerator saying to leave the setting at medium and give it time to cool. We did that, but our items never got cold... even after over 24 hours of being in the refrigerator. Also, the stoppers in the two upstairs bath tubs would not close completely, so the bathtubs would not fill with water. The one on the lower floor seemed to work fine. We were only at the cabin for a weekend, so we didn’t report these problems.
It was a nice cozy cabin tucked away in Cherry Log. The cabin had a loft area with a comfy single couch and ottoman and a twin size trundle bed with bathroom upstairs and the downstairs area had the two bedrooms living/dining space, a bathroom and the kitchen. Having a washer/dryer was a great addition. There were plenty of towels, soaps and blankets throughout the cabin. The two closets downstairs and one upstairs are a small walk in but pretty spacious for a cabin closet! The kitchen was equipped with all the appliance essentials we needed, dish washing soap and salt and pepper! The hot tub was big enough for two and the two rocking chairs outside were perfect for reading. The campfire area was big enough and still private enough away from other cabins. There is a garage big enough to store up to an SUV or to put some bigger packed items away instead of inside the small cabin. There are a few suggestions that we would like to add: 1. Updated board games 2. Include fire starter matches/logs (in the winter/rainy months - the logs outside are too wet/moist) 3. Travel size shampoo/conditioner 3. New pack of kitchen sponges as the ones provided were used and not clean 4. This should have been #1 please have the hot water turned ON before the guests arrive!! It took forever and we just wanted a hot shower after a long day of traveling 5. We are not sure if there was a guest book but we never found one and if not - a guest book would be a great addition to the cabin. 6. Lamps/ window pane/shades were very dusty with cobwebs 7. We found a dirty spoon on sink upon arrival and coffee stains on counter that we easily wipes clean.
We loved Twin Peaks Cabin! The views were fantastic! The mountains were right outside the entire wall of windows! The wrap-around deck made it nice to sit out and look at them and enjoy the quiet. The cabin is at the end of a road, so very secluded and peaceful. The cabin itself was comfortable and plenty roomy for 2.
We stayed at Yes Deer. The view was beautiful. The drive to the cabin was easy to find and it wasnt to far from Blueridge. The cabin was clean and everything worked! The gas fireplace was great! Push the button and it was on! The only thing I would suggest are better towels for the kitchen. And having more than 1 set. Overall great cabin!
I thought the rental was very well organized and efficient; we literally did everything on our own and never met with a representative of the company, which was fine with me. We liked the cabin; the only downside was there werent enough blankets, especially for a cabin in the mountains in the winter. We literally had to steal all the comforters off the other beds to make it warm enough at night. Other than that, the cabin was very nice.
It would have been 4 stars. The day before we leave on our trip they call us and say our cabin is unavailable. We would have to take a different cabin. We were left with little choice they offered us 2 cabins to choose from or our vacation, would be ruined. They called them upgrades. They barely cost more then the one I rented. I found one that would have suited our needs better but they made a few excuses that they did not have the staff to get it ready in time and it was more then what we had already paid. I was willing to pay a little more. I spent almost 50hours in research for that cabin. Searched almost 200 cabins from Blue Ridge GA. and Branson MO.The Cabin did not have the dart board that the description said was there and the regulation horse shoe pit was overgrown with weeds and 1 stake was missing. Other then that the cabin was clean, well stocked and comfortable.
We had a great experience at Tocozy cabin. The location is FANTASTIC! unfortunately for us we got rained out one day and they opened some dam or something upstream the next - so we did not get to enjoy the river (too deep and swift). But the kids thoroughly enjoyed the huge yard and all the games downstairs. The hot tub was a hit too. We wanted to extend our stay, but the cabin was booked out.The only reason we give for starts is because we had some issues with the refrigerator leaking and no stock of kitchen towels. The management promptly sent someone to look at the refrigerator and we managed the leak with towels. In all, we would definitely recommend the cabin for a great family getaway and will be back another time to enjoy the river as well.
Spent my birthday this weekend at this cabin and we really enjoyed ourselves. It was spacious enough to sleep everyone comfortably. It was clean I just wish the damp smell on the basement couldve been tamed, the driveway to get to this cabin couldve been paved or had none markers indicating a hill you have to go down or up the hills so that you can see at night because it was a little intimidating to drive out there in the evening. And the driveway to get in and out was kind of tricky to park or get in and out because its so narrow to park more than three cars. Needless to say, with a few tweaks here and there for safety purposes to get there, this cabin itself was great! I Looooooved the outdoor fire place game room, jacuzzi and got to spend quality time with family for the weekend!
This cabin was perfect - very secluded- and VERY clean! Creek running through the property and surrounded by woods - very private - but not far from attractions. This is our third time using mountain laurel cabin rentals and we will def use them again. Management is always very helpful and kind- and this trip was no different- we realized we would be arriving early and managemt helped us to be able to check in early - no problems.
It was July, my birthday weekend, and I wanted to do something different. Me and some friends decided it would be whitewater rafting. I looked at a host of cabins and Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals was the only viable choice. The value for that season was surpassed by none other during my research. I say value because it was given the quality of the cabin and the amenities it afforded us for the price. Check in was a breeze. The staff in the check-in office gave the best customer service. They were happy we were there and had such a positive attitude, and reassured us we would have a great time. They got our trip off to a great start. The cabin was clean, and comfortable. I will definitely rent from them again; Ill be planning my next trip soon. Hook, Line, and Sinker.
Wow, what a pleasure !! My family and I take a Christmas vacation to the blue ridge mountains every year and I have to say this was one of the best cabins we have ever stayed in. Very secluded and I recommend an SUV or truck to access the cabin but that was what we were looking for. The river was amazing my son and I fished everyday great time together. Also the cabin is close to any and all shopping you need. As far as your basic needs the cabin was fully stocked , plates, silverware, pots, pans, etc etc..We didnt need for anything the whole week we were there. Cant wait to return see ya soon creek song !
Wow. Looking for a vacation cabin getaway?? Look no further. This cabin is beautiful! The 15 minute drive up the mountain is such a scenic drive and really puts you in a secluded area. Although not alone, this cabin has alot of space between its neighbors giving you tons of privacy. We loved the view off the balcony and the hot tub at night! The cabin exceeded our expectations. Fully furnished with silverware, dishes, soap, towels, WiFi, etc, the only thing we really needed to get was food! The downstairs balcony has a dart board and a ring swing game along with a table, chairs, and a swinging bench! Everything was very neat and clean upon arrival. Although this was our first stay at a cabin in Georgia, I know which cabin I’m coming back to next time.. Thank You My 401!!! Best stay ever!!!
Aside from the beds being pretty hard, our overall experience was good. Directions to the cabin could be clearer (for instance, mentioning the difficulty of the drive up the gravel road wouldve been helpful). But the cabin itself was clean, we loved the seclusion, and wed love to come back. More comfy beds, though, please!!!
Definitely recommend this cabin rental company! We are returning customers and will continue to be. Their staff is super nice and the cabins are as described/advertised online. The specific details make a huge difference in helping us decide on the cabin for us. Their check in/out and helpful tips on staying are a huge plus. Cabins have always been clean and tidy. We will continue to use this company while in the area.
Our cabin was absolutely perfect, the pictures on the website were a very accurate representation of the cabin. It was everything that I hoped for and more. The customer service was outstanding. Overall, my experience was fantastic and I will definitely rent from them again. I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone.
We did have a great time at the house on the Toccoa. The bedrooms worked great for our family. The pool table was fun. We were able to cook our meals easily in the kitchen. Hot tub was wonderful—overlooking the river. We did have two little one... a one year old and a three year old. The railings in the house and on the deck were NOT safe for children.... the bars are way too far apart. Did have to keep a VERY close eye on the little ones.A couple of suggestions:Leave guests more than one dish towel in the kitchenHave aluminum foil, Saran Wrap availableKitchen Garbage bags were not provided as stated. (There were very large bags under the sink - like lawn and leaf size)Getting into the cabin was easy with the coded lock. Getting to the cabin..... It says to Not follow GPS, but GPS gets one to the cabin easier than following the directions (as we did not come in from Atlanta). Thanks again for providing a great place for our family get together.
I stayed at Our Favorite Place cabin in Blue Ridge. Great service, cabin was neat and tidy. It was also nice that the cabin came equipped with cooking and eating utensils. Unfortunately the hot tub did not have a roof over it, so due to rain, we were not able to use it. Other than that, great stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It rained all weekend so we were able to use the game room Saturday night. We played pool and some ping-pong. There wasnt a net for the ping pong table so we improvised with some brochures! We did run into cobwebs in the corners and in general. It would have been nice for those to have been cleaned up before our stay. Other than that, this cabin is great!
We stayed at Skip to the Lake Cabin and it was so relaxing!!! The cabin was very clean and cozy. We had everything we needed for a two night stay. I loved that we were so close to the main road and close to grocery stores. The only thing I wish this cabin had was a firmer mattress but other than that my family enjoyed the stay.
My fiance and I rented a cabin through Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals for Columbus Day Weekend in Blue Ridge, GA. I received a phone call the week prior to my cabin booking, in which, I was informed that there had been a scheduling mistake and we had been upgraded from a 2 guest cabin to a 8 guest cabin with a lake view. Mountain Lauren Cabin Rentals gave us a beautiful upgrade and the cabin/view was out of this world. We were so thankful for such great customer service. We had a wonderful vacation!
I have rented thru Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals twice and have had a fabulous experience each time. I adore this company! They are thorough, courteous, and they want their guests to have the best possible experience. I rented Indian Rock Lake in December 2016. This cabin was gorgeous! The owners did a beautiful job decorating their cabin to the optimum level of comfort. Previously I have rented Mountain (I believe it was 2012) and it was such a fantastic experience. Both of these cabins were spotless and so perfect for our needs! I love this company and will continue to rent from them for years to come.
The cabin was very nice, however there is a major bug problem. We killed over 50 spiders inside the cabin, and the mosquitoes attacked us inside as well. There is also some time of animal living in the basement ceiling/first floor that we heard running around in the night that needs to be taken care of. Cleanliness was about a 5/10. The ceiling fans and closet doors were very dusty and the counters were dirty when we arrived. Overall, we found the cabin to be very comfortable, relaxing, quiet and very much enjoyed our stay in the Dancing Bears Cabin.
House was beautiful and lots of room for 4 couples to have some privacy. Having a bathroom with each bedroom was great! Only issues that kept me from giving 5 stars was the downstairs bedrooms were cold - thermostat was upstairs and worked perfectly up there. Also no storage in the bathrooms for toiletries. Overall though the stay was fabulous!
Wow the cabin was great. We are first timers and for a first time experience, we had a great experience. Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals kept in touch with us ,making sure that our experience would be great. We are grateful for that. All we had to do was go straight to our cabin with a code that was giving to us through email. Once inside the cabin had all that was needed. There was plenty of dvds, books and best of all a amazing view. We will be planning for our next stay again. The office staff was great with our needs. We stood in the Navajo cabin.
Wonderful stay, loved that it felt like going to you own place, no need for a front desk check in, or a going 10 miles out to get a key. Simply drive straight to the cabin and made one phone call to verify the key pad code. Wonderful location, and company to rent through. Loved the cleanliness and comfort of the cabin. (Although I believe the bear or someone may have thrown their trash in the wood line next to the home which was quite smelly and visible) other than that I definitely recommend mountain laurel to everyone!
We stayed at Run About Trout Lodge for 4 nights. We rent mountain cabins a couple times a year and this was my favorite one yet. We will definitely be back. The cabin is extremely nice and I enjoyed the fishing on the property and the proximity to Blue Ridge. I normally get restless in cabins and am ready to come home after a few days but I wanted to stay a while longer here.
The view from Tree Tops is spectacular! We had 3 cars with plenty of room for them. Many windows let in the outside, but there is privacy all around. The cabin is decorated so beautifully with a well-outfitted kitchen. Bedrooms are roomy even with queens and a king. The master has a huge bathroom. The hot tub, pool, ping pong and cards provide plenty of activity at the cabin. Excellent place!!!
We stayed at the Great Escape. Overall it was an ok cabin but we would not stay in it again. It wasnt very clean. The fridge had spills and mess in it and the dishes were mostly chipped. The king bedroom upstairs wasnt very clean. I was glad we brought an extra blanket to lay on instead of sleeping on the sheets. Cobwebs throughout rooms, especially upstairs. It was nice to have a washer and dryer but the dryer didnt dry very well. We had a loss of power while here and while that absolutely isnt mountain laurels fault they seemed unconcerned about it. The trash cans outside were completely full upon our arrival so we didnt have a place to put trash but next to the trash cans. On the day of check in we never received the email with the code for the door so I called, which wasnt a big deal (I did check my spam folder). The kids enjoyed having a separate lounge space downstairs and the back deck was very nice. Overall it was an ok stay but the cabin could be furnished much nicer and definitely cleaner.
I have never been more pleased with an experience as this one. It was super simple to reserve the cabin... check in and out. The home was so very inviting. I loved the location. I even named the twin fawns that I seen every morning and night. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the relaxation that was much needed.
OCT. 4-7, 2019What can i say. It was wonderful!!! We celebrated our 30th. anniversary with Mountain Laurel Cabins 4 years ago and i decided to do it again this year for our 34th. We really loved the cabin and the stream. The water rushing over the rocks was soothing and hypnotizing. I went out both mornings and drank coffee watching the sun come up and listening to the water, birds and squirrels. After a day of roaming the cities of Blue ridge and McCaysville, shopping and riding the train we enjoyed an evening of relaxing in the hot tub. To say the least we have had wonderful experiences both times. The staff are a pleasure to work with. I really liked the check-in and check-out process this time where you dont have to worry about finding the office to pick up and return the key, especially when youre not familiar with the city.Sharon was really helpful in guiding me in the right direction for my surprise. My wife was just diagnosed with diabetes and I was a little lost on what to have waiting for her. I got with Sharon, she gave me a few items to ponder on and I gave her a list. They were waiting in the cabin when we arrived and it just made the occasion more special for my wife. The cabin was beautiful, clean and well taken care of. I can not say enough about the experience we have had both times other than we will be back in the future.
The cabin was nice. My husband and I had a great time. Only downside to the trip was that the fenced in yard for our puppy was full of mud from rain and dog poop from previous owners. So our pup didnt get to use it. Other than that it was a very pretty cabin and we enjoyed our stay!
The cabin was great! The only issue I had was that there was definitely extra cleaning needed. I could smell dog urine and my dog kept trying to pee because of it. In the basement where the master bedroom was was the worst! Also my allergies were really bad there as if there was a cat present it left my throat terribly sore for the whole time I was there and a day after. Cosmetically it looked clean, but deep cleaning was definitely needed.
We called Mountain Laurel Cabins when Hurricane Florence was tracking toward NC. We live on the coast and we were desperate to leave. They found us a perfect cabin that met our financial needs and waived the pet fee since we were evacuating. The cabin was perfect and the staff very compassionate and helpful. We are forever grateful to Mountain Laurel Cabins and we hope to return on better circumstances. The area is beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful. I honestly have no complaints. Definitely making it a family trip once a year. If you love nature, peace and quiet this is it. Only thing about the cabin I stayed in was the driveway was hard to get out definitely need 4wd and the lake was located down a steep hill could of do e some stepping stones or some walkway. Other than that it was absolutely beautiful.
This is my third time using Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals. The first couple of times I came with friends, and we had such an enjoyable stay that I just had to bring my family. Everything about our stay made us feel like we were in a home away from home. The staff were very friendly and professional. There was so much to do in the cabins, pool/ air hockey table, the hot tub, the Toccoa River, etc. that we were satisfied with just staying in the cabin! This is definitely a destination for future vacations, and we will be back!!!
My husband and I stayed in Wolfs Den. The cabin is tucked away in the trees of Blue ridge ga. Cabin is nice and roomy. The wrap around porch was very nice just needed a little cleaning up The only bad thing about our stay was getting in and out. The road is gravel and steep so is the drive way. So if staying here you will definitely need a 4 wheel drive!!! Bed was comfortable. The sectional couch needed to be replaced. Overall a nice stay with a great rental company. Trent and Missy Jacobs
Great cabin and location. Rental agency was very responsive and provided ample information. The fireplace, fire pit, and firewood are great additions. The cabin itself was clean, modern appliances, plenty of towels and kitchenware (dishes, cookware, etc.). The information booklet with hiking trails, bike paths and local area information was also a nice touch. Highly recommend taking the Blue Ridge scenic train excursion into Tennessee. Overall would recommend and stay there again. The ONE thing we recommend is adding a sign of the actual address or Squirreled Away Cabin at the bottom of the driveway. We keep driving past the small driveway and noticed other surrounding cabins has a name or address plaque at the entrance. There are too many cabin rental signs around to confuse you....took us about 15-20 minutes to find a local neighbor who told us which cabin was Squirreled Away
Booking online was a very easy experience with Mountain Laurel. The cabin itself was clean, and the bed was comfy. The roads getting to the cabin are not in good shape - further off the good road than we expected. The internet service was so spotty that it couldn’t be used. While the stay wasn’t a bad experience, I can’t give a five star review for future vacationers. We’ve stayed in many cabins over the past thirty plus years, but this one doesn’t rank at the top of this list.
Our cabin was great but there were a few drawbacks. The driveway had a lot of deep holes and it was gravely it took us 3 times to get my car up the driveway the first night we were there. With the possibility for rain, we were scared of being trapped at the cabin or on to the main road. The ceiling fan in the bedroom did not go any faster than low. This was a problem because the temperature outside was around 66 so the ac wasn’t turning on. The first night, we were HOT because there was pretty much no air flow in our bedroom. Also, the hot tub had particles floating in it and the water was not clear. We were only in there around 15 minutes.Overall, good place to stay if those three things were fixed’
A thanksgiving vacation to meet with friends from Tennessee. We are from Florida. The town our cabin was in was beautiful. Wonderful change from my south Florida life. The cabin was amazing. Better than the pictures. The front porch with all the rocking chairs was my favorite. Woke up and with a cup of coffee was on the porch in a rocker by 5:30am. It was so so peaceful and relaxing. The one day we had plans to go into town and see downtown and go have dinner we all chose to get hot dogs and stuff and sit by the fire pit. The property and cabin were just too nice and peaceful to leave. So we sat by fire pit almost all day. Thank you for such an AMAZING experience. None of us wanted to leave and go home. The cabin was so Homie we felt like we were home. I am pretty sure that all of us plan on making this a yearly tradition. I knew I would love every minute but was unsure of some of of some of the other family that came. They too loved every second we were there. We all also agree the cabin was amazing. So much so we never left! Thank you so much again! I am sure we will be contacting Mountain Laurel cabin rentals again very soon to book our next trip.
We rented the Arapho #322 cabin Fathers day weekend and I must say it was more than we expected. The pictures online do not do this cabin justice. Surrounded by a wooded area theres outdoor seating provided for a serene view. Inside, the cabin was spotless and the furnishings were top notch (the black bear theme throughout was a very nice touch). Unfortunately, due to there being so much to do in the area we didnt get to spend a lot of time enjoying the cabin. Next year well definitely add an additional night to our stay.*One word of caution - due to the location of this cabin (hills, gravel roads, and sharp turns) I would suggest a sports utility vehicle or at least a vehicle with 6 cylinders.
We came up here to scout areas for a future move. The cabin we stayed in, three bears bluff, was a great location. Out of the way enough but still a reasonable distance from grocery stores and other shopping, as well as other nearby towns. The amenities were all that we expected. The view was splendid and the sunsets spectacular. We will use Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals on future visits and have recommended them to friends that wish to visit.
The cabin was amazing. It’s high up the mountain and very secluded. The view from the patio in the main level is awesome. The air hockey and foosball tables in the basement are a nice bonus. We did not use the hot tub on the patio but it looked great. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a mountain getaway close to Atlanta.
Had such a great time in this cabin. The property is beautiful and the cabin is very well appointed. Beds were super comfortable and the kitchen had just about everything you could need to cook with. Just make sure to have a SUV or truck, the road is a bit rough and if the georgia clay is wet, its super slippery........
We rented a cabin during the first week of January, which also happened to be during the great freeze. Unfortunately, our pipes froze during the first night there and we had no running water. They were unable to be repaired and we had to move cabins. The weather is out of their control, I understand, but it took them an entire day to have someone even come out to check it and then told us about 5pm about the move. Nonetheless, that was our only complaint. The cabins both were beautiful and well maintained and the staff was friendly and--for the most part--helpful. Blue Ridge is a wonderful area. I highly recommend taking an hour drive to Helen and Unicoi State park where you will find some gorgeous waterfalls.
The cabin was beautiful, served the number of family members very well, and the kitchen was well equipped to have our family Thanksgiving Dinner. The ASKA area is so beautiful and all enjoyed the local history and sites. My family loves Blue Ridge. and we look forward to coming back next year. Thanks Mountain LaurelSusan Hall
Lil Beaver was our 3rd & favorite cabin so far! The cabin was immaculate & the furnishings & decor were 1st class! We got lost a lot up there, part of the adventure. As soon as we checked in we called to extend our stay one more night & the truck did not move for the 4 days. We cooked inside, outside, went fishing, soaked in the spacious hot tub & just enjoyed the peace & view.
We had a great time and it was the perfect way to celebrate Christmas. The cabin was very cozy. The king sized bed in the master was a must and was amazingly comfortable. The hot tub, unfortunately, was not working, but the jetted tub in the master bath, worked well. Our experience made for a very Merry Christmas!!
This was our first time renting a cabin. The entire process from selecting the cabin online (very user friendly site) to being emailed hassle free arrival/departure instructions was incredibly great. Our cabin “Dew Drop Inn”, was the perfect place for us to decompress and just spend time together. We only left the cabin once in our 3 night stay! Beautiful and charming cabin with wonderful amenities from the hot tub to foosball table and fire pit. Thank you for giving us days of great memories! Looking into booking for the fall. :)
We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean, pretty and had everything we needed. It was cozy to have a fire in the fireplace since it was chilly while we were there. I had hoped to read on the back porch and look at the beautiful mountain scenery, but it was too cold. The few times I went out on the porch, it was noisy from a close by main thoroughfare. We could not see the road, but you could hear the vehicles go by. Inside the cabin, it was peaceful and quite.
We stayed at the Sunrise Splendor cabin in Mineral Bluff Georgia and loved it. We were a group of ten , 4 adults and 6 children. The cabin was clean, cozy and comfy we were able to drive to Tennessee and North Carolina. The cabin is in great location less than an hour drive to both locations. We spent a whole day in the cabin with the kids enjoyed the hot tub while the kids played in the play room. Had everything we needed to cook great kitchen. It was a great experience and are looking forward to renting a cabin again next year thru mountain laurel .
Terrible experience! Booked through “Home Away”. First time using this service. Home Away is just the middle man. I never saw the cabin I booked on the Mountain Laurel site, only on the Home Away site.We arrived for check in 4:00 pm, got key and was told the bottom of drive was a little rutted but to just go up fast. Got to cabin, impossible to get up drive. There was about 3-4 inches of loose gravel, could not get traction. This was a long steep drive. We had an all wheel drive vehicle and even tried in “snow mode”. The loose gravel made it impossible. We went back to office and was told there was nowhere else for us to stay and that other people had made it up the drive. Also said we could park at the bottom and walk up. (4) senior citizens with back and knee problems along with a service dog and luggage. They refused to refund our money and offered zero assistance. Told us we had to go through Home Away which is not true. They are responsible because they are the agents. Here we were on Thursday before Memorial Day with no where to stay with pets.Absolutely no help from Mountain Laurel!!! Don’t use this agency. Luckily we found a small hotel that was pet friendly (Ducktown Inn) very nice accommodating hotel and a lifesaver for us. Not exactly the relaxing weekend we had planned. We went back the next day to talk to the staff again and was told that the ad says 4x4 required on “Their” site which it did in the House description but at the bottom it also only says recommended. We never saw their site, only saw it on the “Home Away” site. I tried and tried to find the cabin we rented on Home Away again but could not find it. I searched in every month even into 2020 and could not find it. I thought that was strange. Perhaps pulled.... can’t say for sure. The cabin was called “Serenity Now.Mountain Laurel would not give us anyone to contact only email address for some committee that meets every week or so. No contact person or phone number.
Overall, had a decent stay and experience at the Dream by the Stream cabin. Unfortunately, it was pretty dirty and dusty, especially compared to others weve rented, so definitely didnt start on the right foot. I will say, the company was very responsive and courteous, overall, though. I will note: I asked them before booking if the cabin was secluded and private, other than one cabin visible in the photos, they said that was the only visible one, but turns out we were surrounded, so didnt get the seclusion we wanted (and thought we were paying for). Also, the gas grills propane tank was empty, but they did have someone swap it out within 15 minutes or so. Not the best of experiences, but not the worst...
My boyfriend and l went to the cabin to get away for our birthdays mines 4/19 his 4/29. We were pleasantly surprised to see that even though we were in a one bedroom cabin it was quit a nice size. Full size kitchen. Full size bathroom and living room. Nice hot tub take a minute to heat but once hot it was very relaxing. We had a very relaxing week away from the city
I used Mountain Laurel Cabin rentals. The cabin was beautiful! Everything was easy. There were concerns. I followed reviews online the heaters werent working. I confirmed before I went with a worker who told me the heat was fine. This was not truthful. The thermostat wont go over 65. We was cold. The cabin needed dusting the wooden blinds were caked with dust. Not very many pots and pans to choose from either. No phone service at all on cell phones. This would be o.k. if there was a land line. Our electrical went out and there was no way to call and report it.

2020-01-03We really enjoyed the cabin! It was super clean and very well kept. The beds were comfortable, the hot tub was nice, the grill worked, and the wifi was great. Definitely recommend this cabin, it is only a few minutes down the road from Blue Ridge, and very close to Aska Trails (which is a must do). The company was very helpful to us when we called with a question, and the check in / out was a breeze.

2019-12-16My husband surprised me with a cabin trip for birthday. This cabin was perfect! It was even decorated for Christmas. I was so impressed with the space and the view. The heat circulated nicely through the house, so it wasn’t too cold or hot.The cabin had all of the cooking utensils we needed to stay in and have dinner. Our experience was great! We definitely recommend.

2019-12-16I reached out to Mountain Laurel Cabins looking for a cabin for a birthday retreat. They quickly responded with 6 options. They were well within our price range with all the amenities we were looking for. We had the most relaxing weekend at the Fightingtown Creek Overlook. The house was fully equipped. The hot tub was on and ready for us when we arrived. We quickly settled in and started prepping to grill. The cabin was clean and beautifully decorated. We visited early December and they had decorated for Christmas. They had the cutest little reindeer set out that I am now on the hunt for. I need a set for my tree. (See photo) The view from the private master suite was just breathtaking. We will 100% be booking another cabin with this company asap. We had a great trip.

2018-07-31You cant beat the setting and the yard on this property. We had great weather and really enjoyed the entire river experience. The house is a little dark and could use some additional lighting. Overall, we had an amazing weekend. We celebrated my parents 50th Anniversary and they renewed their vows down by the river.....it was perfect!

2018-07-16The cabins location was very nice, with the Toccoa River on our backyard. Check-in and check-out processes were easy. The cabin itself was big enough for 7 people to sleep comfortably. However, it was not clean. I had to call and requested the management office to send someone to clean the floors, dust and change the bed covers. Same with garbage removal. I had to call and ask for maintenance to go pick up the garbage because the tanks were full and animals were making a mess every night. They sent someone the next day in both cases but as a paying guest, I dont believe I should have to make either request.

2018-06-25We had a FANTASTIC time in our cabin (Above the River), it was the perfect cabin for our first time renting a cabin, the cabin was located right above the Toccosa river, we already miss drinking coffee with the sound of the river rushing through, cabin was clean and ready for us, it had TV and WiFi also, location for the cabin was great, it was only around 30 minutes away from Blue Ridge , and only a few minutes away from the entrance of the Toccosa Swinging bridge (a must see).We contacted MLCR a couple of times to ask some questions, we talked to Nick and in another occasion with Hunter, they where both very professional and very helpful. We are already thinking about renting another cabin from this company in October, it might even be the same one since we liked it so much.

2018-09-10We booked a cabin through Mountain Laurel for our one-year anniversary. Working with them from start to finish was a pleasure. The website was easy to navigate and helped us select the perfect cabin with such filters as pet-friendly, views, and amenities. After booking, we received email updates keeping us on top of milestones such as final payment, when to expect the address and lock code information, and events going on in the area during our visit. When we arrived to the actual cabin, our expectations were exceeded - the pictures on the website were true to life, the cabin was in excellent condition and useful items such as towels, soap, and the local guidebook thoughtfully laid out. We had such a beautiful experience that our only regret was not booking for a longer stay.

2018-12-25Amazing experience. We stayed at the Yes Deer cabin, and everything about the cabin and Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals was awesome. The cabin was clean and well stocked, and the staff were very friendly. We will be back!

2018-12-10My wife and I wanted a quick getaway for the weekend to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary and this cabin was perfect. The cabin had everything we needed. We have stayed at a handful of cabins in the Blue Ridge area and this was one of the best. We have stayed at numerous cabins over the years and one of the things I pay attention to is the cabin manual that I call it. The binder or book that has all the specific details and instructions about the cabin and this one left no questions unanswered. In my opinion, if the owner goes to the trouble of making a very detailed binder then they want their guests stay to be the very best! Thanks again for letting us stay at this beautiful cabin!
