MyEyeDr. in other cities:
My interaction with this office was a class in how to not do customer service. I only wanted reading glasses plus replacement of lens in my old glasses and thought it would be an easy task to get done but no, I get a txt msg stating that my glasses was ready for pickup but no that wasn’t the case because when I went for pickup and checked in with the fitting tech the wait at her desk became unusually long and finally she came out and said they was processing instead of telling me the truth and wasting my time and hers she just continue to say they was processing. It was processing for close to a month before I received my glasses
I just moved to Byron recently and I went in here today because I had my last set of contacts in, and I needed more before my first appointment. So the Manager was very nice with assisting me with my scary situation... I give her a 10 for customer service! Thank you very much!
Dr. Anna is great and she cares about each patient as she takes time to listen and hear concerns they may have. But the best person in the entire office is Kelly! She helped me get the trial contacts I needed without any hassle and gave me options about my glasses. I was stressing about my contacts because I have regression in my eyes and are having to go back to the daily contacts but she quickly eased me nerves about the cost. I can call the office and she is always there and able to help with any needs I have! I cannot thank Kelly enough for all she has done for me, especially during this stressful time and the limitations the CDC has put on their office. She really does care about each person that walks in and walks out of the office.
My 1 yr old daughter had an appt scheduled with this office. When we arrived we were told the appt was scheduled for an earlier time and that we would have to reschedule. The next available was over a month out. We had all ready waited over a month to get into the office. The receptionist said they verbally confirmed a 1pm appt. I explained to the receptionist that I received a text confirming the appointment time as 1:20pm after the said verbal confirmation. I had my phone with me and pulled it out to show her the text confirmation sent late afternoon the day before. She didnt bother look. Of course I understand that technology has its glitches. Im very reasonable. A Im sorry for the inconvenience this has caused would have made a world of a difference but the only response I received was that we had to reschedule. I cant speak on the optometrists at this location as this was our first scheduled appointment we will not be returning.
We’ve been customers since we moved to the WR area from another state several years ago and can’t imagine going anywhere else for out families eye care and vision needs. The staff/providers are amazing and our entire family always receives exemplary customer and patient care.
Dr Christie was very through as normal. I have been using his office for many years. The front staff with the exception of Karen however should be looking for new employment. They dont seem to care about anything except selling. Customer service is a thing of the past. They do not listen to the customer. Case in point I was with a staffer and told her that I could not use any frames other than plastic, titanium, or carbon fiber. What does she keep pushing stainless steal. Then she got an attitude when I restated that I could not wear stainless steal. The change since Dr Christie came under the MYEYEDR umbrella has been very disappointing.I tried them again to see if thing had changed. To be truthful it has not, if anything it has gotten worse. There is no way I could recommend this business if you are looking for glasses. If all you need is an exam then Dr. Christie is great. The rest of the operation however is a waste of your time and money. Their frames are second rate at best.
I would give zero stars if could. I am a returning patient. I already had wait 3months because of COVID-19 for an appointment, but I came in today and there is no record of it. Now I did explain to her that the young lady who talked to me over the phone originally set it for yesterday( labor day) and when I brought it up she rescheduled for Sept 8 at 3:20. I was told I could not be seen today eventhough it was not my mistake. I have to schedule all appointments for a certain day because I travel for work. This is a big inconvenience and wasted time when I could have worked. However, your front desk wasnt phased by any inconvenience it caused me.
Was referred by my mom and I am glad she did! Everyone was very friendly. Sacoya took very good care of me and has a wonderful personality! Dr. Christie put me at ease with lots of options and focused on what was best for me. He put into the hands of Kelly B. Who ended this experience With a smile on my face. She was informative, pleasant and extremely helpful. This is my new eye care center😀
The doctor is excellent, the receptionist not so much! I stood waiting 15 minutes before being acknowledged at the new office site. The old one was so prompt and caring. I thought I went to wrong place the service was so drastically different. Once I did sit to pick up my glasses that lady never checked to see if my glasses fit right. She was not concerned and rushing to go home. Haven’t been able to wear my $233 glasses as of yet!!! Not a happy customer!
I visited the office in warner Robins and I was waited on by a young Man Alexander. He was very helpful and explained to me all the details about the eye wear I needed plus the billing., by the time all the billing was complete, he saved me a lot of money. I give him six 🌟
Well when went to primary eye sight associates was great experience, received nice set of glasses, but fast forward about year later was vacationing in Daytona Florida, had glasses swept away in ocean, so was basically blind many miles away from home, called the eye doctors office, to send me Perscription so could get contacts to last me til I get home, they told me they could not help me my Perscription expired couple days ago. I feel like they could have done something, to help the situation but refused to help at all. Was thinking something temporary until I get home but no go. So couple years later decided to go back to get a new Perscription for glasses which changed to my eye doctor, it took about month and half to receive glasses. Once I put them on, they were blurry on sides so had to send them back off, today still don’t have glasses, still wearing contacts. Overall just not a very good experience.
I’ve been going here for a few years and have had trouble getting a prescription that was just right. They have a new doctor on staff and she is amazing! I finally have a perfect prescription. She really takes her time with the exam to make sure you will be happy with your glasses. And I am VERY happy - at long last!!
Decent selection. The staff could be better. The process of picking out and ordering my glasses was effortless and easy. The tail end of the transaction is where this location needs improvement. After 13 calendar days, I call in to check on my lenses. Im immediately asked to be placed on hold. Unknown to them, I was in the car en route to the location. Long story short, I walk in after being on hold for 6 mins, only to see 3 receptionists sitting at the main desk, and one sitting at a desk on the main floor. Can you guess how many customers were present? Thats right, only 1!!! My glasses were ready by the way. Theres no telling how long they had been sitting there waiting for pickup judging on these lazy busy people. They need to tighten up.
Twice in the last few months, my daughter was told by the doctors she saw that she needed a different type of contact lens and she would be given a FREE trial pair to see if they worked better. Both times she was told that the doctors were wrong about that by the front desk staff. So, she asked for a copy of her prescription. They refuse to give it to her. This is in violation of the FTC. I will be filing a complaint and looking for a new eye doctor! Our family went there for years in WR and Macon. It was great when it was Primary Eye Care!
I’ve been seeing Dr. Smith for about two years now and recently last year brought my kids to see her as well since I think very highly of her skills as a doctor and professionalism. After a disastrous billing issue last year, I just called a few minutes ago to make an appointment for my daughter and the front desk receptionist I spoke to was just rude. I clearly was annoying her with all of my questions as to why an exam for contacts ran between $75-$150. It didn’t make sense to me especially since I have insurance that’s supposed to cover it. All she said was this was their estimate that they give patients so I asked if they went out of network with my insurance and she said no. There was a pause on the line so clearly I still wasn’t understanding and instead of trying to help me understand or offer someone else to help me understand, she just said “okay so we will see you all on Aug 28th.” By her tone, she was very annoyed and wanted to rush me off of the phone. Okay that’s what you want? I told her not to be rude to me and never mind to cancel the appointment. I have now made all of my family’s appointments elsewhere with no issues and will be sure to let my military spouse friends and work colleagues on the base know of the horrendous service you all are giving. Absolutely horrible.
Been going for years, even before they franchised it. The doctors are exceptional and respect your time being there. The staff is the polar opposite in all aspects. I don’t want to be completely negative but I dread having to ask for anything from this place because it will be a headache. The staff is just... obtuse. Can’t find prescription items by name. No notification if anything under your name arrives; so please be on top of your purchases here.To be short, the staff is horrid and not trained with dealing with customers. But the doctors are educated and empathize.
I previously had a bad review so the manager reached out to me. Took care of the issue and apologized for the inconvenience. I am very grateful for the concern she showed and for the help! I now have the correct contact lenses. They will work with you as long as you communicate the issue! Thank you all so much!! It showed me that they do care and are willing to work with you!
For years I’d been coming to this particular location (before they’d gone corporate)...& I absolutely loved the service, it was personable and very welcoming. As of lately, not so much. Communication is KEY, especially when you’re dealing with an office as large as this one. They are definitely lacking in this area, amongst themselves and their patients. As much as I love being a patient of Dr. Christie’s I hate the service.
The worst customer service ever! I was told to stop by the office to pick up a prescription and once I arrived they couldnt find it and the person who handles that function was gone for the day. I asked if this could be called in to the pharmacist nearest my home and I was assured that would happen. Week two with no follow up call, I called the office and asked was this called placed I was assured that it was, however once I went to the drugstore wouldnt you know nothing was called in! Whats even worst it wasnt called in anywhere. Week three, I called again and no one knew what was going on and I was transferred to another office, who was trying to figure out what transpired. I even received a call from someone who was making it seem as if I was crazy as if I didnt know what happened instead of just fixing the problem. She was trying to make it seem as if I didnt know what meds I had received. Now I am wondering did they even contact someone concerning my eye surgery, that I was told three weeks ago, someone would contact me. What in the world? More care should be given to customers who are having problems with their eyes. I will say the people seem very nice, and I love Dr. Christine but the work ethical from that front counter is horrible.
I went in for the annual eye apt (which they contacted me to remind me, much appreciated because I would have forgotten.) The were busy as they usually are and I had to fill out more paperwork that no information has changed on. (suggest that other than name and address on the forms that if no information has changed that this be eliminated, this is one reason I hate going to any dr apt). Endless paperwork. Front desk staff were helpful and not unpleasant. Once I was finished, I went right in. Everything went quickly and smoothly from there. I adore the lady that assisted me with my glasses purchase. Extremely knowledgeable and gave me her honest opinion. Got my glasses in less than 5 days, including the weekend. Most importantly I LOVE THEM! Thank you MYEYEDR!
I have been coming to this location for ten years, up until this time it was a great experience. This time I went in to check in for my appointment and had to fill out a litany of paperwork, when I asked why the woman said it was because they needed to update my information since they were no longer Primary Eye Care Associates. I Completed the paperwork and turned it back in and waited 30 minutes past my appointment time to be seen, never happened before, when I asked why I was told that they were behind and if I would have a seat they would call me when they were ready. Once I got to the back, Dr. Murphy and the optical tech were great as always, however, due to an underlying problem my eyes had to be dilated and an extra test needed to be performed. The tech who performed the extra test acted like she had something better to do, she made no attempt to accommodate comfort and this test took a while; she also seemed annoyed when I ask her questions about what was going on. As it turned out I have to be referred to a specialist and the women at the front counter not only made a difficult process more difficult but because they didnt explain how their referral process works, they barked at me because I didnt understand, also, my eyes were still very dilated and I was having trouble seeing what was put in front of me to sign which seemed even more of a hassle for the front counter. I finally had my fill of it and told them in a very directive voice that they needed to figure out their processes and stop putting the responsibility for them on the patient. I went back today to pick out new frames and the sales lady was rude, pushy and very uninformed as to what you need or what my insurance would pay for, I couldnt put up with it anymore and left. Im done with this location and that sucks because I like Dr. Murphy but your new corporate image sucks, I liked the feel of it when it was owned by people who cared about the patient and not the dollar.
Fast and friendly service. Dr. Dudley Christie and staff were very professional. Dr. Christie himself was very thorough, knowledgeable, and helpful. He answered all my questions and addressed my concerns. Even made me laugh too. I would strongly recommend and refer family and friends.
The most unprofessional office Ive been to in my life. The ladies at the front desk needs a lesson in customer service. I had an 830 eye appointment 45 minutes later and no one acknowledged that I was there, I guess they were to busy talking a how awesome her mascara was. As a result I ended leaving with an eye exam and now having to find a new eye doctor.
Such sweet ladies working here. They are literally so nice when they speak to you, and genuine, and want to make you happy! They do not get annoyed with questions about their Groupon deal, which I think I would, considering it’s a long-running coupon that I’m sure a lot of people purchase. Jamie was so accommodating, and helped me be able to purchase what I wanted because she wanted me to be able to get the frames I was dying to have! I called a day later and told them I had found a better price online and I was thinking about unfortunately canceling, but Jamie so kindly price matched my order and it was greatly discounted for me..... I just love the attitude they have here. It is totally worth it. Thank you, my eye dr.! We will be back! 😁
The staff was very rude with my wife on more than one occasion. While waiting for an extended period of time to get both of our daughters in we sent over all the paperwork needed prior to the visit. After my wife was sitting in the lobby for over an hour waiting to take the girls back, the receptionist advised her that we had no valid insurance. My wife once again provided proof and called personally to be told it was active. The receptionist argued with her and demanded over $300 before our children could be seen. Not wanting to waste any more time she paid. Once home she had a copy of the information on the valid insurance sent over and forwarded to MyEyeDr. Afterwards she followed up to make sure they received the verification and asked to be reimbursed for the visit, the receptionist stated she did receive verification and they would not file it because it wasnt valid, and then hung up. I got involved after I received an Explanation of Benefits from our insurance company showing they were paid the entire amount. Jaime Janik the office manager spoke with me and verified the insurance did pay and we had been covered at the time of the visit. Janik has been trying to get her office to release the funds with no luck. This has been going on 4 months and Im still without the money they hustled out of my wife. Beware of this group!!!!
This is the best place to go for your eye care!! Every person on staff from the receptionist to the doctors are amazing. My girls have been going for years and I just recently started going. They are so kind and do whatever they can to make sure we are given the best care every time we walk in the door. We absolutely love them. 💖💖
Primary Eyecare has been bought out by MyEyeDoctor and I have never had such a poor experience as I did today and I will not be returning. I have been a patient for 5 years. I purchased new glasses in February when I was seen and paid extra for a warranty. In March I took the glasses in and they told me that it was a manufacturer defect and that they would replace them at no cost, no problems - even gave me a loaner pair. Today the same thing happened. I took the glasses in and was quickly told that they were no longer Primary Eyecare and that they could not replace the glasses with the warranty I had. After speaking with the manager she did agree to let me choose a new pair of glasses. I asked for a trial pair of contacts to wear in the meantime. She brought out the wrong prescription, and I told her what my prescription was. She advised me that the doctor made a mistake and never wrote the prescription down right (even though I have the physical box that they sent me home with the CORRECT prescription) and told me that since that doctor no longer worked there they would have to CHARGE me for a whole different office visit to get the correct SAMPLE contact lenses. She told me that she could not go by the box I had because I could have gotten that anywhere. This could have been easily resolved by getting another doctor to evaluate and correct the prescription, however she advised me that the doctors were not willing to provide that service without being paid. Therefore leaving me with no glasses, and not even a correct single sample contact lens. We are talking about ONE contact lens is what I was asking for. I will not be returning to MyEyeDoctor.
The selection and frames are fine but the service department needs work. The lady who checks folks in....I think its Jamie or a J name, was probably the rudest person Ive ever met. This women must have been having a personal issue that day, because she was hot and did not know how to interact with a customer. Even after I made the purchase, this woman was still something else. Said something about her distrust for men.....like sorry im just here for glasses not your personal drama parade. Finally an employee from the back took the reigns and realized that this women needed to be removed from the front. Overall great frames, but im at a loss for words on why this person is their first to greet others. Not sure ill be back.
I have been coming to this location for the last 4 years & the service has always been the same: absolutely trash! They are slow to acknowledge you & have the worst attitudes. I will be switching to a new place because I cannot stand to be in a place where I don’t receive the same respect I give.
I’m new to the area and need to have my eye examine. I attempted to go into the location and while I was walking up, the receptionist came running to the door and locked it. I couldn’t believe it. They were closing which is fine but how she did it was rude. She could’ve opened the door and said I’m sorry ma’am we’re closing and we will reopen tomorrow at whatever time. No, she didn’t do any of that. As my hand was reaching to open it and confused by what she was doing, she was locking the latch. Well, I definitely will never go there. Rude!!
Horrible service, I showed up to my appointment early, but there are two locations within a mile both locations you have no light and you are stuck waiting for traffic. The receptionist were great at talking over me, finally they informed me that I was at the wrong location. Didnt bother to inform the second location and gave arguable to worst directions Ive ever received. When I finally arrive at the second location I was informed I was beyond thier grace period. This wastes $250 dollars, I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.
The ladies at the counter were very helpful, but the ladies that are there to help pick out glasses are rude. I stood there with my kids waiting for some help and they just looked at us and walked away. If this wasnt the only place that took my insurance I would never step foot in it again. No one should feel the way they made us feel. Absolutely horrible customer service.
The doctor was very thorough. Although can come off as rude... The ladies up front do not care about helping the customers. I went to get my eye glasses fixed and they basically told me that there was nothing wrong with them and made me feel dumb for coming back in. Will be changing eye doctors
Been a long time customer of this place but since they sold out to one of the big companies their overall service just isn’t as good. Seems overly complicated to order contacts for example and shipping takes weeks. Hate to say it but probably going to move to another doctor next visit.
They have no care or concern for children. I called to make a appointment for my 9 year who suddenly is having trouble with double vision. The women said sorry nothing we can do until March. I’m supposed to wait 4 months to help my son who has had a sudden change in his health. Ridiculous!!

2021-08-25Had a great experience here! Great customer service and I was pleased with the selection of frames to choose from. Kelly helped me pick the frame that looked best on my face and I love them! All of the employees were very friendly. Ill definitely be back.

2017-03-22Ive been coming here for five years and its always a pleasure. The ladies who got your frame are real experts and knowledgeable able the options allowed on my insurance. Ill recommend this doctor to anyone. Dr Christie checks for any problems with the entire eye, not just glasses. Very calming atmosphere.

2022-03-16Walked in with cash and knowing the exact product I wanted… took an hour for the guy to tell me they don’t have the mode in that color… seemed like he didn’t want to help. I had to probe to see if they had in another color… what a waste of time. He was nice, just incompetent.

2022-04-21My Grandaughter had an appt set up last year for 3pm I know it was 3pm because it was written down immediately and posted on the kitchen cabinet, my daughter carried her to the appt got there at 250pm they told her she was late said her appt was at 240 and said she couldnt be seen and couldnt be rescheduled to be seen at all, I think that is ridiculous!

2021-06-01After my experience with this office TODAY, I will take my family some place else. They need to learn more about the online scheduling menu. I scheduled my appointment last week for today at 2. Had I not called to inquire about the copay, I would have never known they canceled my appointment. No call nor prior communication. Once I was told, upon me reaching out...I was offered an appointment 2 weeks from now. Thats not going to work especially when I have informed the staff that I have a medical necessity to be seen. While trying to reschedule me, I noticed an opening today at 4:10 with Dr. Smith, Im then told those are for follow-up patients. I inform the young lady that is not noted online when it shows the availability. She then stares go ahead and book it and we will see you at 4:10. 5 minutes later she calls me back to say, Dr. Smith said she cant see you then and to reschedule you in her next available appointment. That is 2 weeks away as well! Sooo now it is clear to me what happened....They canceled my first appointment also and put someone else in it. This is bad customer service if I have ever seen it! This office needs to review how the online scheduling works and modify the times that are available to be scheduled on-line. Plus, they need to follow through when they cancel a patients appointment!

2021-08-24Have been using MyEyeDr for a long time now. The customer service is impeccable. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. Any questions or concerns I have, have been handled quickly and with a smile. What most impresses me is how Ive seen them deal with unnecessarily irate customers quickly and professionally!! EXCELLENT customer service!

2021-03-26First time going here and will be my last! I have been waiting almost 2 months and they still can’t get my prescription right! I picked them up 3 different times and had to return them 3 different times! Received a email stating my order was ready after returning them for the 3rd time. When I arrived had to get signed in an wait till someone called me,just to be seated and told she would be right back with my glasses, and no glasses when she returned,Was told the lens were here but still waiting on the frames that were somewhere else! I didn’t know anything was wrong with the frames, why are the lens and frames at 2 different places? Will be calling and getting my money returned and doing business somewhere else!

2021-03-15I would give 0 stars if I could. My son had a scheduled appointment and I had to bring my other two children, nothing was said to me when I checked in about having them. When they came to get him for his appointment they told me only he could go back. I’m not and never will be comfortable with my child going into a room with an unfamiliar adult by themselves and I very clearly couldn’t leave my one and six year old by themselves. The front desk was extremely rude, and one girl turned to another, covered the side of her mouth and said something. To which the other girls looked dead at me and started laughing. I then brought my sons glasses in to get fixed and was told that the extra warranty you pay for only covers one break (which I wasn’t told). I would avoid this office at all costs, the one in Macon is definitely worth the drive (I go their myself). However I refuse to let these ladies, who very clearly couldn’t care less about customer service, be the ones assisting with my children. I now take them to Atlanta and it’s been the best decision by far.
