New Moon *used* to serve fresh and good food. My last three visits have been very disappointing. Yesterday, I received scrambled powdered eggswith unmelted, torn cheese squares atop them. Accompanied by one hand torn bacon strip, two slices of barely toasted bread and absolutely no butter or jam. The coffee was, which is really what theyre known for, was not fresh or tasty. This place is quaint and lively, and I think many of these reviews are atmosphere-based rather than food quality. New Moon has the luck of being one of the few places downtown to get breakfast. I am going to stick with the Brunch House of Augusta (6th and Greene) where the food is always good (but not the coffee) and worth the wait.
Came in from the pride event downtown. I got a lavender blueberry lemonade and it was really good. My only gripe is the man who helped me at the counter was really uninviting and made me feel like I was interrupting his phone time. I saw some other customers ordering from someone else and that person was super sweet and kind. It just really rubbed me and my sister the wrong way.
Coffee was good, smoothies were healthily good, but sandwiches( more specifically the tony Montana) had very little meat, 2 slices, and tons of pickles that over powered the sandwich. For a 10 dollar sandwich it was not worth the time or wait. Everything in my pictures with 15% tip cost me 32 dollars.
First of all, this Cafe is located next to a nice used bookstore, which is awesome. My friend recommended that I try the Grits Bowl (pictured) aka The Downtown Mess. They now offer multiple types, but I just know the Augusta style is so good. I no longer live in the area, but I still think about the grits bowl. I was just passing through, so I made a detour to get it. Sometimes they run out of grits by the end of the day, so you might want to call to make sure they have it. The staff is always nice and helpful. Once, they took a while to bring our soup, but then they gave us a delicious cookie. I also like that they have outdoor seating.
This place is quite charming, hip and 100% local. I mean they are imbedded with community and you can well whoever took the risk to open the place had a vision and drive to dream big! There is a cozy book store near it and its the perfect set-up! It has outdoor sitting and even indoor for more intimate conversations.
A local restaurant with a handful of custom made drinks but an otherwise fairly unremarkable menu. I ordered just an orange juice here at a fresh squeezed price, but what I got was basically a tiny juice box. Not very happy but the fault was mine for not paying attention.
Fab place, really relaxed atmosphere absolutely wonderful coffee, you can tell its roasted with care. The staff are very attentive and kind. I can see why they have been going for 21years, thanks for the lovely experience guys. Didnt try the food (except for the cinnamon roll which was delicious), however it looked great being delivered to the table next door. Came here with two little ones and the soft lighting really helped calm them down as well as all the interesting art on the walls.
This was the first and last time I will ever go here. My order was a regular medium coffee black. So here I sit waiting patiently for the specialty orders th get filled that are ahead of me. Then the arders after mine start to be filled. The guy at the cash register starts filling the orders to the people he knows that was behind me. Little did I know he was supposed to give me my cup and fill it myself. Keep In mind I am there In plain view 6ft from this guy.
Ive been to this location multiple times and received consistently bad product. This morning I ordered a large hot matcha latte and received a large cup of lukewarm milk flavored so lightly it tastes like the milk has gone bad. By the time I got to the office right across the street my milk cup was cold.I ordered a lavender latte before and the flavoring was so powerful it tasted like perfume.A salted caramel latte that was overly sweet and salty. The Aiken location does consistently excellent beverages.
Probably some of the best coffee youre going to have in Augusta not to mention the menu is always stellar in a city that isnt known for diversity. People may have their reservations about the downtown area in Augusta, but its where some of the best food and drinks in the city reside.New Moon is a treasure among those; I only wish it could be closer
Refreshing smoothies, very kind staff, delicious muffins, the only thing holding it back from a 5 star is the wait. Ive waited 20 minutes for 3 smoothies before on what seemed like a relatively calm morning. Not sure what the issue there was, but once I got the smoothies I was satisfied. A few other mornings have been notably slow to serve the order as well, though not as bad as the previous example.
First time at New Moon, yesterday, was an awesome experience. They have an extensive menu for breakfast and lunch. Tons of coffee and smoothie options. When I saw the smoked salmon bagel, I was sold. If you have never had one of these, you are missing out. I have been looking for a good salmon bagel ever since I have tried it in New York. I must say, the one I eat at New Moon was the most flavorful I have had to date. I will definitely be back. Awesome experience and fabulous food. Way to go!
My girlfriend and I used to come here regularly but, our most recent visit will be our last. We ordered the quiche/mug of soup combo and a smoked salmon bagel which are usually some of the best items on the menu but, it seems this place no longer values quality. The quiche was skimpy (smaller than the palm of my hand) and tasted like it was previously frozen, the soup tasted OK but, the soup was lukewarm and the mug was closer in size to a petri dish. The salmon bagel was also OK but, had a ridiculous cream cheese to salmon ratio (where was the salmon?). I think well stick with Inner Bean Cafe going forward, at least they dont scam their regulars.
I was not impressed with the quality of our coffee. It was very bitter. There was a larger man taking our order. He seemed to be a fairy nice guy until we came up. Not sure if the previous customers were regularla (assuring they were) but he was not very nice to my husband and myself. In fact, once we got up next he turned and wakes away with no apologies or explanation.I usually give people a second chance if service exceeds quality but not in this case. We will not ever spend another dollar with them.I suggest you hire employees who know how to be consistent to their customers.
I’m all about second chances and I’ve always loved new moon and the green monster smoothie is a favorite. A week ago I placed an order on chow now and when I arrived at the restaurant not only was I not greeted when first in line for several minutes but they never received my order. 15 minutes after placing and paying for it online. So I asked them to refund it and left as I was on the way to an obligation. Then today, 20 minutes after placing my order and waiting in the lobby area again for awhile before greeted, still not ready. Lauren assured me “it’s almost ready”. Five minutes later I’m sorry but I’m out the door. Not only this but a brother and sister standing there said they’d been waiting 25 minutes for a grilled cheese. Meanwhile myself and several other patrons noticed how many workers were just not doing much of anything. Oh well.. downtown needs good businesses and this doesn’t fit the bill. Won’t be back. Sigh.
A taste of southern hospitality with a hipster coffee shop vibe!Found this place on a whim and it ended up being my go to coffee spot every day I was there! Indoor and outdoor seating with a great, fun and artistic atmosphere. The coffees were all delicious as well as the breakfast bakery assortments. Service was fast and polite! Highly recommend
We ordered 2 of the salmon bagels and an order of grits. First the bagels were not prepared the way it was described, not only were there no capers, maybe sprinkled the last of the crumbs of dill but I also had more pickled onions than I did salmon; second it seemed the person taking the order seemed to have an issue serving my husband. The few customers before my husband were Caucasian and the order taker was very friendly but when my husband (African American) stepped up he was greeted rudely not to mention some of the looks from some of the customers. Not a comfortable environment, rude service and false advertisement on how the food is made. We will NOT return!!!!
One of my favorite places to grab coffee or any drinks for that matter. They have some really cool things to try and make everything super friendly and fast. Ive never waited in line more than 15 minutes even during their busier times, and the drinks come out pretty fast too. I have only tired their drinks but I would bet the rest of the food is great too!
This is a very good restaurant. But DO NOT go to the Augusta location. Think of the Augusta location as Walmart and the Aiken location as Target. That is the best way to explain where I am coming from with this review. The Augusta location is sitll good, but the Aiken location makes me feel like Im getting my moneys worth the food I pay for.The service is AWESOME.the food is not as good as the Aiken location.
This is an interesting place in downtown Augusta. We ordered food and this awesome smoothie drink. It was very good. My little stickler is that after one sits down, one has to pay attention for when the drinks are ready and one has to go back to the counter to pick them up but the food is brought to the table. Huh?? And no one tells one about this, making the visit seem disjointed. But all the food tasted good.
Ive always loved Blue Moons witty names for their various bagged coffees and the flavor and quality is right on par with the care they show for there craft in how they name things. The breakfast menu is also phenomenal. I really liked the Downtown Mess Augusta Style grits bowl. A perfect fusion of a southern classic with Mexican cuisine!
Good variety of breakfast options including many healthy items. Love their oatmeal. Breakfast sandwich on a bagel is very nice. Wide selection of coffee. Indoor/outdoor seating. Friendly staff. Service can be slow. If possible, pre-order on Chow Now. Parking can be problematical on weekdays; try circling around the block. Nice used book store in the same building.
One of my favorite restaurants in downtown Augusta. New Moon is an open, airy cafe with plenty of seating both outdoors and indoors. Their smoothies and drinks are always fresh and tasty and they have a few solid vegetarian lunch options as well. The entrees themselves arent necessarily anything amazing, but I come to New Moon for the kind people and beautiful, laid-back atmosphere. I love the patio in front right on Broad Street as well as its location right next to the book store!
This place has a good selection of coffees, smoothies, and food. I wanted a lavender latte and they recommended to get a honey lavender latte which was so great. My friends got a very good order of avocado toast and a smoothie.Very pleased with everything and if I lived here, I would come here all the time. (:
I always enjoy my time at New Moon Cafe. The food is great, healthy, and reasonably priced. The employees have always been friendly and happy to help. The environment is unique and relaxing and close to everything downtown, perfect for a stop during a riverfront walk, for example. I really enjoy sitting outside while I eat my meal. If you havent tried New Moon Cafe yet, you should. Its one of Broad Streets gems.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Great atmosphere, tons of friendly faces. The staff there treats me like family and is always so helpful when it comes to my dietary needs!! Im vegan and they know my favorite orders by heart already!!! Theyre super local in Augusta and Aiken!! Tons of local art for sale, delicious coffee (roasted in Aiken Location)!! Definitely a must stop shop!!
The food was great! The atmosphere really cozy! Loved the Haitian brew coffee! I usually need sugar and cream but just tasting it, I could see myself drinking it black. Bought some to go! Loved my dish, it was layers of grits, bacon, avocado! Amazing! My kids were able to play on a kiddie table using chalk which kept them entertained until food arrived.
New Moon Cafe is a very interesting and unique place. They have very delicious drinks. I love their chai, and my friends say their coffee is amazing (not a coffee drinker myself). I have only eaten lunch there, but they do have very good sandwiches and plenty of variety. The service is fabulous too, everyone is polite and professional. They get everything out very quickly. I look forward to my next visit to New Moon Cafe.
New Moon, whose walls are filled with local art available for purchase, is the OG of coffee spaces in downtown Augusta. They offer breakfast and lunch items as well as amazing smoothies (Green Monster gets 5 stars!). Their food is so yummy that I find myself craving it even after hours--especially the Cream of Broccoli Soup with Bacon + Feta.
The New Moon Cafe is my go-to spot for a wonderfully sophisticated and stylish cosmopolitan meal. Ive literally never ordered something there I didnt love. The staff is absolutely wonderful and the art on display/for sale is so intriguing. Internet access is satisfactory, as are the noise levels. The indoor seating is always clean, and outlets are in good supply. Outdoor seating is also provided, and is fully shaded. The cafe has a wonderful Asheville or San Francisco style vibe to it while serving up deliciousness inspired but not constrained by old southern standbys. My recommendation is the Grits Bowl, which comes loaded with cheese, avocado, bacon, and hot sauce; paired with a cup of fair trade coffee roasted locally in Aiken.
Great cafe on Broad St in the JB White building. Its a relaxed and hipster aesthetic that serves great food and coffee. Its connected to the Book Tavern which is also a nice stop to go by. New Moon Cafe is nice and trendy, with art across the walls thats all for sale. Highly recommend it.
Went for lunch, 2 others at our table got their food while mine just sit behind the counter. Had to take food to go as the table was done eating by the time I got my food.Update to 4 stars after going back. Decent food and service and normal downtown prices. Good selection of vegetarian options.
I love that this place is not Starbucks. It has freshly roasted coffee, lovely local art, some of the best food youll find in town, and all at a decent price. There is a jar to put a quarter for refills of coffee. Good people - Everyone there has always been pleasant. Oh, and its definitely kid-friendly.
Great coffee and they have a variety of milks available including almond milk and coconut milk. Not a huge variety of breakfast options though and the avocado toast came out with hot sauce on it which was not very nice. The service was very slow. Not a bad place though.
Pros: food was tasty, coffee was tasty, atmosphere was nice, healthy food, variety of choices, many seating options, unique.Cons: slow service(this is the only reason it didnt get a 5 star.)Additional information: prices are fair, staff was nice, art work was cool. My wife and I had the special chorizo sweet potato egg breakfast burrito. We split it and enjoyed it. I had the tim curry latte and she had machete latte, both were good. I like that they offered water to drink during the long wait.
This place is great! So much character and charm. Instead of giving you a number they give you a character, or in my case a hero. They have cute quirks and modern flare on food options. I had the (absolutely amazing didnt know what I was missing) Augusta style grits bowl. You must try it some time. The staff is friendly and the store is clean. Indoor and outdoor seating options and Wi-Fi for customers.
What a great cup of coffee and the grits bowl is the best... Augusta style anyway. They sell Aiken style, and its well done, but Augusta style is where its at! I love that I can order coffee without any plastic pieces and can order in ceramic mugs to reduce waste. If you come to Augusta and dont visit, youre not doing it right.
Nice stop for a quick bite while walking downtown. A good selection of locally roasted coffee and smoothies. The sandwich menu is limited but they offer a good variety, I highly recommend splurging the extra $1 and getting the hummus and bagel chips which are made from their own bagels not pre-made.
THE DOWNTOWN MESS DT Augusta style-grits w/avocado + pimento cheese +salsa+bacon & Cholula....I wasnt sure about the texture of pimento cheese on grits. Now I am. That crispy bacon made me like it so much that Ill come back and order this exact dish next week. I liked the dark roast coffee, too.
I used to be a regular at this restaurant but not anymore. The ranch dressing is always watery and the bacon is fried to break your teeth. When I requested to have bacon fried soft I was told the food is pre cooked and it was impossible to get the bacon cooked the way i was paying for it to be cooked. Also the guy there, Steven, LIED to me and told me the ranch was thick when in fact it was watery, running. There was also a piece of curled hair in my salad. Thank God I didnt eat it but I was forced to throw my salad away. I was spending over $262 per month in this facility. Everyday I went to this place for lunch and to have service like this is unacceptable and hurting. I still have points at this place and therere going to be wasted cause my chances of coming back are very VERY slim. And all the co-workers Ive bragged about this place too will hear how awful they treat their regulars.
Ive not gone to Blue Moon as of yet but I ordered from them and was delivered by Augusta TOGO. The milkshakes and Lattes are fantastic. Theyve got Starbucks beat just in the fact that they deliver. If youre in the mood just to lay around to get away from the hustle of life, download there app, place an order and take the day off. Just not everyday
I got what I believe is called the Uncle Junior. It was so good! It is a panini with tomato, basil pesto, and I believe the bread could have been sour dough. I paired it with the cold brew iced coffee. I loved the look and feel of the place. It was a little quiet (no music), but thats not a bad thing. Would be a good place to read a book or get work done.
Bland, skimpy, poor quality. Little cafe has potential. There are hints of creativity in the menu, but its unnecessarily complicating and ruining breakfast staples. Sorry for the negative review, but Im sure the thirty dollars I spent for two people will help you survive another day. Please improve.
The food was mediocre, not to mention that there was a blueberry in my caramel macchiato coffee. When I told the server that there was a blueberry in my coffee, he did remake it, but he explained that there was just fruit everywhere, and thats why there was a blueberry in my coffee. I definitely do not recommend this as a place to go eat I would rather go eat at the Waffle House.
Stopped by here to get breakfast. one of few places open early downtown but its a nice cafe. ordered a breakfast sandwich, croissant with bacon and eggs... a little over toasted but otherwise what you would expect. and they have lots of coffee choices too from drip to lattes to frapps.also, I was surprised to see them actually baking their pastries (from scratch!) in the back.lots of room to sit inside and outside, a good place to try to get some work done and a cup of coffee.
There is a large assortment of items to on their menu to choose from, most of which have cute or creative names. They also sell some CBD honey. The food I had was great, and the hot chocolate was also really nice. My only complaint is when I called the cafe, the woman who picked up was a little rude and got impatient while I was asking simple questions like if they are still offering indoor dining during this pandemic (There is an outdoor patio they currently use) aside from that, my experience was very positive, and the guy at the register was really nice to me
Came to this place a few times while visiting family in the area. The coffee selection and quality is excellent. The food is very good and they offer a good selection of both lunch and breakfast food. The baked goods are made fresh. Staff is very friendly as well. Hope to return.
Lots of options for food and the food is very high quality. The lavender blueberry lemonade is a little tart, but all their specialty drinks are good. The avocado toast is little bit more toast than avocado, but theyll make the egg the way you want it! More diner style but cool vibes.
This recently relocated local cafe is a great place for breakfast or lunch. While the new location does not have anywhere nearly as much charm as the old, smaller location up the street, it is great that the larger storefront allows more people to enjoy their sandwiches and drinks. The pastries are always fresh, and their smoothies are really well made. If youre downtown, its worth a stop.
Just a horrible place all the way around! Dirty!.Rude staff! Waited half and hour on food and when it finally came out, I dont know what it was but it was not eggs on the plate! Another customer had there 80 year old mother treated horribly right in front of us by the staff.
First time being here and will never return again. If I had known that it was going to take them more than 40 minutes to make a cup of smoothie, I would not have placed an order in the first place. I had people waiting before me for drinks as well and no one was given an explanation to why orders were so backed up. Unless you have like an hour to spare to grab a drink, I strongly advise you to try different places.
We have been on a road trip looking for some semi healthy food and this place hit the nail on the head. Fantastic soft cushioney bread with a tomato basil soup that was amazing. Cant wait to come back. Deducted one star because two sandwiches took 20 minutes to get out!
My first time I went to the new moon in SC and thought it was fantastic. I just came to this one in Augusta and its still fantastic to me, Im most definitely a cafe girl so this is a great spot for me. I got the Turknado panini sandwhich with the bagel chips and humus, delicious :)
Great brunch. The coffee is good but nothing special, and the eggs are just plain scrambled, but the baked goods are outstanding, smoothies are quite tasty and inventive, and the desserts are excellent (chocolate chip cookie shake was a real treat). Vegan-friendly. Located next door to a bookstore, too.
Never coming back here. I asked the cashier if I could get a chai tea and then get a (paid) refill of plain coffee, like how you do at Starbucks. She said that would be fine. When I went back to pay for a refill, a new employee came and was absurdly rude. She looked at me as if I had two heads, then barked at me condescendingly. I just said thank you and left. My friend remarked on the dirty look she gave as I left the cafe. I didnt think asking about the refill policy was a crime? You can just say no. Its not a big deal.I think theres a Starbucks down the street by the Marriott. You should go there if you like customer service.
I am in love with this Cafe! For one it is connected to a book store. The atmosphere is spunky and relaxing. There are a lot of coffee, tea, and smoothie options. Their Nitro Cold Brew is delicious. The Dirty Chai Tea is very flavorful; sweet not spicy. The food took longer than expexted to come out. The Huevos Rancheros and Grits bowl were recommended. Both were very tasty. I do not recommend the Salmon Bagel. 1. The salmon was minimal. When I say minimal... I mean it literally only fit on one half slice of bagel. It was about $7. Too over priced for such little food. Very disappointed considering everything else was great; but I highly recommend checking this place out. I would totally give it another try.
I would avoid this establishment! The front was chaos and the girl at the register didnt seem to know what she was doing and was very unorganized and slow.We put in our order and waited for over twenty minutes. All we got were two simple sandwiches, yet people who came in after us were getting served. We went and checked on the food and the girl at the register said she didnt know what was going on. Came back a few minutes later and she was just as confused. A guy who more looked like he knew what he was doing said they ran out of the chicken salad that has been ordered and they had to make more.I dont know why they never told us this had occurred so we could decide to change our order, wait, or leave. There was zero communication all around. The other problem is that my other sandwich was not chicken salad, so why didnt they bring out half of the order? They just left us hanging! The only good things I have to say is the apple Chai tea was pretty good and the coffee was OK, but tasted old. The guy who gave us our money back wasnt overly apologetic, but did give us our money back for the food without much protesting. The food looked like it might be pretty good, but was a little basic for what its supposed to be. And the presentation of the menu on the boards and tiny papers around the register were a bit distracting and confusing. The place was also hot, kinda dirty, cluttered with junky decor, and there was not sufficient seating outside. There were tons of people camped out on computers not eating anything during a busy lunch hour.Like most other super trendy places in the area, it doesnt live up to the hype. Im honestly unsure how this place has pretty good reviews, I think its overrated. As for the pastries that everyone raves about, all I saw were a few measly, melting cupcakes by the register.Bottom line: I wouldnt go here if you like to enjoy your experience of eating!
Lets start with the positive: New Moon Cafe has decent coffee, specialty drinks, and pretty tasty food. I think the new location has a great atmosphere and makes for a better eat-in lunch that the previous. Now, where the rubber meets the road: the prices are borderline RIDICULOUS. I had a muffin with coffee and fruit for damn near $10. I guess its downtown status bring all the execs trying to grab and go but it was the last time I went for breakfast.Label the gosh darn cookies. Somehow a bacon and sea salt ended up in the chocolate chip pile and I literally slammed on brakes when I bit into it from the putridity. Just...no...dont do that. Needless to say Ive never had another cookie. And lastly, laptops need power so that should have been a thought when you have seating.I cant say Im a frequent customer but I will grab lunch when there is no other options.
The food was awesome, but being approached by someone asking for $ while we sit and eat, not so much. We gave her cash so we could sit and enjoy our meal in peace, but instead watched her hit every customer in the place. My suggestion: grab a green monster and our a salmon-cream cheese-everything bagel TO GO.
I waited 30 minutes for a wrap and a very small cup of pasta salad. It wasnt overly crowded nor did they appear understaffed. In fact there were several (3) customers that came after I did and received their food earlier. And they went through the ordering process so I know they didnt place a phone order. Felt like my time and money were disrespected.
While I dont drink coffee much, its certainly a downtown staple. I typically get one of their juices, the green monster is always a good choice.Had family in for a few days so today was a great time to hit downtown for a quick stroll before they headed back to Cali. New Moon was on my to do list so when my niece pulled this up on Google..
Ok, so I am usually the last person to put a bad/neutral review, but there are definitely a few things i saw that i really couldnt ignore. The latte i had was good, but nothing special. And the biggest thing about a local shop is to amaze first time customers instead of them going to Starbucks. The prices are very good though, no complaints there at all. It really is based off of my first time perception off of what i saw. A lot of the tables were super dirty, and we were there for over an hour- did not see anyone attempt to clean them up, and it wasnt a particularly busy day. So i really dont see an excuse for that. As for the customer service, thats the only reason why i gave 3 stars, as they were great! Its just the concern of keeping the atmosphere clean when there are down times, which there were many opportunities for that to happen while i was there. Maybe it was just a lapse of judgement, i dont know- again this was my first time. The next time i go, i will hopefully see a difference.
Disappointed...was there last week and everything was awesome. Thought abt them all week, returned and ordered the same thing and nothing came out the same. Totally different tasting. Not very friendly staff. Cashier couldnt answer any questions about what was in the bars at the register for sale. Told breakfast bars have oats and nuts and lots of other things in them. Wow...way to describe them.
Hi new moon cafe, just wondering how the management of this establishment is running due to COVID-19. I came in on Tuesday afternoon and was very disappointed in how the lack of safety and precaution during a global pandemic. I thought out of the restaurants that were open New moon would do a better job at enforcing mask policies-specifically to the customers who are ignoring the sign “Please wear a mask”; and to the empIoyees to be more diligent in wearing masks since they are handling food. I worry most for (not only us customers who are wearing masks) your workers who have to be helping those same people, who are blatantly ignoring their safety, despite giving them service they wanted. I don’t think it’s fair to your employees nor other customers who are wearing masks to prevent the spread, whilst others are not wearing masks. What are New Moon Cafe’s next steps in handling these issues during COVID?
I came in about 20 minutes before closing (anyone who has worked in the restaurant industry knows what a pain that is.) the girl at the cash register was super nice and was kind enough to split my two meals in half. (a Dr. John sandwich and a Sonoma Chicken Salad Plate) both were quite good although not the best I ever had.
My husband and I visited New Moon Cafe while visiting our home town of Augusta Ga.. We were greeted with a warm reception as soon as we entered this fabulous Cafe. We just left the Seattle area and thought the Pacific N.W. was the king of coffee...well now the crown and the kingdom has been taking by New Moon Cafe :-)..Christine not only greeted us as though we were family but she duplicated a frappe we loved in Washington upon our request and said it will be added to the menu. So whenever you visit New Moon be sure to try the DeMeco it was the best frappe we have ever had.Thumbs up, four stars, this place is now the talk of the town and if you are ever in Augusta or passing through. Take the time to enjoy the great coffee and atmosphere.
I used to frequent New Moon when it was on the corner of 10th and loved it, but now that it has moved to the old J.B. Whites building, the quality has suffered. The bread has been consistently stale, and the service is beyond slow. I had the LaFawnda with 3 cheeses and there was hardly any cheese on the sandwich, it had been cooked and sitting for a while, so it was cold, and the bread was so stale and hard that it cut up the roof of my mouth. This is not the first time that I have been sorely disappointed in my meal since the move. I hope they shape up fast because I love local eateries, but this just isnt worth the money.
If you’ve been to the blue moon cafe in WA state or any of the other places up north DO NOT THINK THIS IS THE SAME! It’s like an off brand 😅 the food is not the same. Breakfast was to die for in WA here it’s just like anywhere else, nothing special or like home cooked meals. Missing the NW

2022-05-14I came to Augusta for a comedy show and ate here the next morning. Let me just tell you to drive straight here and try New Moon Cafe out when you visit Augusta! It’s terrific — the coffee (hot and iced), the smoothies (their green monster is wonderful), muffins, and dishes like their jalapeño toast (sheer perfection). Plenty of seating and easy parking on the street, too.

2022-05-08My fav coffeehouse! The workers and its environment is great! I like their nitro coffee and espresso based drinks. They have the best lemonade called lavender blueberry lemonade. Its a must try! Unfortunately, it closes at 3pm :(

2022-05-21Stopped in for a cup of iced coffee and found myself digging into a veggie bowl breakfast. Coffee was smooth and the breakfast bowl had lots of veggies, eggs, & cheese - it hit the spot!

2022-05-26Im in town for work and just stopped here for breakfast. The butter pecan coffee was so good and my egg/veggie wrap was amazing. Fresh ingredients, great price, and it was a good size too. Friendly staff, comfortable feel, and nice patio...trust me stranger, just go here

2021-08-22Weve stopped by a couple times, and every visit has been great! Even though its a very busy cafe, the service here is top-notch. The associate who took our order was patient with me as I walked through what I wanted, and when I asked if I could have just a little bit of honey in my smoothie, I didnt know that I would get this sweet doodle on my cup! On top of that, my grits and avocado toast were delicious. If youre looking for somewhere lively and casual to get brunch, I would wholeheartedly recommend New Moon Cafe for dine in or takeout!

2021-05-22Neat little cafe downtown in the old J B White building. I dropped in for breakfast on a Saturday morning. It seemed to me they were going for a funky vibe that was cool. I got their Downtown Mess breakfast bowl, Augusta style. It unusual and quite good as well as filling. The weather was nice so I sat outside and enjoyed the fresh air. I saw a couple of specials they had that ensured Id be returning. I mean BBQ Duck Grilled Cheese, how could you not?

2021-07-05In town for the holiday weekend. Found this Restaurant at the recommendation of Metro Coffee House (great place too). Great food, fun atmosphere. Definitely will return when I am back in town. I would recommend the Breakfast bowl with Sausage and Veggies 😊

2022-05-28The food and pastries were great! But I was very disappointed in the coffee. I ordered a mocha with almond milk and it tasted like chocolate milk with cinnamon, not good at all. No coffee flavor at all. Unfortunately will not be returning.

2022-04-11I have been to this Cafe a few times. It is one of the few places to get breakfast on Saturday morning in the downtown Augusta area. The menu has quite a variety including breakfast items sandwiches wraps and smoothies, not to mention coffee drinks. It can be pretty crowded but is relatively quick considering the crowd. It has an enjoyable arcade in the cafe in the arcade and out and an outdoor patio. There is also a nice used bookstore across the arcade..update...that bookstore has moved and is no longer in the arcade.
