OCharleys Restaurant & Bar in other cities:
Ive had OCharleys quite a few times, and dine-in vs take out has always been two totally different experiences. Unfortunately, I ordered a steak for delivery that ended up costing me $1,700. Literally. To preface this, I have never in my 30 years of life choked on food, ever. This steak was so tough and so dry that I choked on the FIRST bite (small bite) and ended up in the ER.My advice, if youre going to eat here, dine in. Youll almost always have a better experience when youre face to face with the staff rather than take out.
The service was good and the server attentive. I had their bacon cheddar burger which wouldve have been tasty if not for the lackluster meat. The burger didnt taste bad, it was just gray and bland.Edit:Im adding my most current experience here. The service remains good and the atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant are good. This time I had the fish and chips and I was not impressed by the portion. Its not that I wanted a lot, but the small pieces of fish and the handful of fries were pretty sad. It tasted decent, but not good like some other local choices. Its also worth pointing out that they no longer have free pie Wednesday. I get that due to the current economy, but its still really disappointing.
Myself -Stephen, and friend Ms. Faye had an early dinner meal last night May 16, 2022Our server was Aliyah and she was excellentAliyah started with her greeting and incredible smile ...her courtesy and customer service skills are excellent !Aliyah was attentive to me and my guest’s needs throughout the meal. And the meal oh my goodness for dinner, I had the cedar plank salmon with smashed potatoes and asparagusall was very delicious including the small piece of key lime pie which Ms Faye had for her esrly birthday treat which is on May 18th.I even had a little bit of leftovers And ate them for a late breakfast this morning finished every bite of my salmon and save the cedar plank as a souvenir. :-)I have not been to an O’Charleys in quite a while since they closed the restaurant at he location in Oxford, Alabama years ago.But this O’Charleys ranks as one of the best that I have ever been to and I will certainly be back again to dine since both the great atmosphere and the excellent food combined with the superb customer service that I received from AliyahAlso an accolade to Kristen C. -the general manager- who also made our evening very pleasant throughout our meal. And made me feel almost like a family meal . 🙏🥳☝️
I was never checked on at the bar. The bartender Tamera was busy talking to some guy the whole time I was there. Not to mention she started talking about the news on tv. She would learn to keep her views to herself. This is the worst service I have ever had. She needs to be retrained or moved away from the bar.
Garret out here doing the lords work. Not only was he nice to look at, he delivered our food quick and concise like a server from the heavens. He made our table levitate and blew ouer minds Chris angel esque. A true mindfreak. 5 out of 5 stars he deserves that 10 dollars and NOT to role a single silverware. Thank you
I ordered the 9inch grilled salmon with Broccoli and Salad as my sides. The salmon was cooked just the way I love it, but the broccoli is waaaaay to soggy, thats usually a turn off for me. I love my veggies crunchy not soggy. I ordered it to go and the customer service was great.
My favorite thing at O’Charley’s is the cedar plank salmon. It is really amazing how consistent they are with getting this cooked just right. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We were pleased to see them offer half priced wine on Wednesday but I do wish they had a better wine selection.
Kudos to Gavin and the Carrollton OCharleys! We went in with my 93 year old mother who is in a wheelchair. He and all of the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and make sure we had everything we needed. She is in a nursing home and doesnt get to get out very often anymore. Thank you for making her meal so enjoyable!
Terrible service... first the hostess tried to sit us at a table that my wife was unable to sit at and wouldnt listen to us when we tried sit in the table next to it so we set at it....all along with the manager running up to the hostess and talking to a group of servers while no one would take our order... there was only one other couple on the entire restaurant....after about 15 minutes we went to leave and the manager runs after us telling us to have a nice day...so we asked to speak to a manager and he explained my wife that he was one THEN offered to get our drinks while the hostess was staring at my wife and laughing at her when she said she felt discriminated against beacuse of her weight...he seen her laughing and looking at my wife and said she was laughing at something else...this behavior is us acceptable and disgusting...to make fun of someone in such a way
Service was slow, we ordered two drinks and watches them sit at the pickup station for 13 minutes. Salad didnt come out prior to meal or at all. Food runner had to walk around and ask who had what on a plate to determine which table it belonged. Four of us at table and no one ever got a refill of drinks or were asked if we needed anything. Our waitress just disappeared for over 15 minutes never saw here anywhere or at any other tables.
But the question is what is that my husband ordered his sirloin steak well done and it was half raw they was running behind just wasnt nothing no good so we wont be going back there will be going to LongHorns May cost a little more but its more worth it at least you can eat it the service has gone down real bad at Old Charlies they got to wait one waitress it knows what shes doing
When we got seated it took a while before our waitress to even come to out table. It took even longer for her to get our drinks to the table. So long in fact, another waitress came to see if we had even placed out drink order. She came to take out order, and we had a question about a BBQ sauce on the ribs. All she could say that it wasnt spicy didnt offer to get a sample or give any other information other than that. Food came out quickly. As you can see the amount of fries you get with a burger is less than you would get from a McDonalds happy meal. Burger was okay. The meat didnt have much flavor to it. The macaroni and cheese is disgusting, of course Im not sure weather or not the fact that it was cold cobtributed to that.
Sunday dinner. Great experience. Waited maybe 15 mine was seated with a smile. Salmon was great. Our experience hasnt been good the last fee times we went however This time Our waitress was Dana. AMAZING young lady. She definitely knows what she is doing. Thank you for our wonderful Sunday dinner Dana. We will absolutely be back. Thank you again Dana.
Good service, unfortunate food. This was one of the saddest meals Ive had. Went to the douglasville location last weekend and it was amazing! Was craving the same thing and happened to be in Carrollton. Not even close to the same thing. My steak looked and tasted like something pulled from a microwaved hungry man meal. My biggest complaint though was the bacon mashed potatoes. They were so dry and cold in the middle. Even somehow managed to taste freezer burnt. My partners ribs werent seasoned and barely sauced. The only reason Im giving 2 stars was because the waitress was nice and the manager was helpful when I did complain.
Came in toward the end of the evening. While it took a while for initial contact the service was good and timely. I missed our servers name and so I cant recognize her personally. Rolls were brought out pretty promptly, and an appetizer was offered beforehand. We choose potato skins and they were good. All the food came out hot, and within a good time frame, we were just finishing the appetizer as the entrées were served! All of our orders were accurate. I was a little bummed to see that kids dont eat free anymore but the meal was still a good value. All in all this location is definitely one of the better ones, it far surpasses Douglasville or VR.
I had a filet mignon, medium rare, with mashed sweet potatoes and a side salad. Steak was cooked correctly and the sides were well prepared. Also had a house margarita which was delicious. Service was slow but judging from the now hiring sign and the low number of staff I observed, it is forgivable. The lunch was thoroughly enjoyable.
I sincerely hope no one will be treated the way I and my family were this evening...I feel so humiliated ....certainly none of the staff here would want themselves or family members to suffer such indignity ...serious need for adequate staff and competent management..shameful
My girlfriend and and I had lunch there last week, and I had told my server there was a problem with my order, she quickly came back with the manager, Nicole. Nicole was very helpful and resolved my issues beyond my expectations! The server was also pleasant. Great overall experience. Good food as well.
Came in for a few drinks and dinner with some friends. Our servers name was Jennifer, and she made our experience great! She was extremely nice, and was happy to get us whatever we needed, even though she was busy. Must give credit to the manager for having properly trained employees that know their job!
I ordered the rice with my salmon because the server suggested the race said it was very good and in fact it was like rubber I couldn’t even chew it! The only thing good about my meal was the bloody Mary although they could not make a double they had to add an extra shot which then they charged me more for the shot than the bloody Mary and added that to my bill when I disagreed with it the server got very rude will not return!
We enjoyed dinner tonight with Marie as our server. She recommended the Island Salmon when I was about to order the usual favorite of mine, Cedar-Planked Salmon. Im so glad she persuaded me. It was super delicious! She also had our food out in a timely manner and it was all perfect! Thank you, O’ Charley’s for our great dinner!
We’ve visited this location many times over the past 10 or so years & have never had problems. Today, we had a wonderful waitress. However, the kitchen clearly had some issues because we had to wait an unusual amount of time for our food. When it finally came out, my husband’s steak didn’t even look like a steak. It was swollen up - as if it were full of something. When he cut into it, the center was hot (it was a rare steak). He commented that it must’ve been put in the microwave. When we spoke to the manager, Nicole, she quickly got offended because, as it turns out, she cooked the steak and I guess got offended that he was complaining about it. She was snappy towards him for making a complaint. Super unprofessional & a bit silly. Again, our waitress was great - sweet & professional. The manager however needs further training on customer service 😊
We had a wonderful experience. I had the Filet mignon with garlic butter and Ive never had a better steak in my life. The baked potato was delicious and cooked perfectly. To top it off, our server was so friendly and attentive. Her name was Bianca and the restaurant has a gem with her.
I’m so impressed at how well this particular ocharleys does Togo orders compared to the location in a nearby city. They not only get the food out extremely quickly, but they also have designated Togo specialists which makes deliveries so much easier. And everyone that I have dealt with have been extremely polite. They seem to really take pride in their job and I appreciate it.
Ordered the Thursday All you can eat catfish. It was mediocre, at best. I dont know when Im going to learn to go to a real fish and seafood restaurant if want fish. On a positive note, service was excellent.Went last night 07/28. Everything was excellent. Food was good service was great. Really enjoyed ourselves.
My husband and I walked in to try to have dinner after getting up and walking out of IHOP for horrible service (we had sat there for over 20 minutes and never even got to order a cup of coffee)! We decided since OCharleys was right there and we were hungry and tired of waiting why not? Upon walking in the door we were informed that they were only going to be open for 20 minutes and we needed to know that!! Needless to say since you guys dont want the service you dont have to have it!! You may want to inform the little girls up front that a customer is a customer regardless if you close in 10 minutes.....we could have been seated and order in less than 3 minutes but not now!!!
The food was not up to standards...had to send the steak back was bleeding like it was raw when we ordered it well. The house frozen margaritas was weak with flavor..seems like it was more ice that mix. Then when we get the bill there was a 2.99 charge for the kids meal when the menu stated .99. Asked the manager and he stated that the price for the kids meal went up about 3 weeks ago and they were waiting on the updated menu. He said my apologizes sir and walked away...not really the appropriate response. I stopped by the hostess stand to verify the price for the kids meal and it indeed stated .99. She said dont look at kids prices that they were wrong...i said well then and have a nice day.
This review might be a bit long but I want to make sure I share as much info as possible. To start with Im normally a wheelchair user due to rheumatoid arthritis but with this restaurant I dont need my wheels. There are plenty of benches and seats for everyone if we need to wait and the parking spaces are very close to the front door. On top of that if I did need my chair the spacing is plenty wide enough inside to navigate stress free. I recommend it for anyone with chronic illness that might need help (from a cane, walker, or a support person, etc)Aside from that the food is good (and consistently so) but what keeps us coming back here is the staff. Weve had some amazing waiters, waitresses, hostesses, kitchen staff, and more. If anything is ever wrong with our meals (which is very rarely!) they are quick to rectify the problem. Weve seen the managers muck in with the staff and not afraid to grab a broom, deliver food, or take care of whatever needs to be done as well as stop by the tables to check and see if everything was up to standards. As a family of five they have comfortable booths that seat 6 that we love in the back and we are usually stuffed by the time dinner is over. We fill up on appetizers & rolls while talking and just enjoying dinner with the family and end up taking most of our entree home to snack on later. If we make it on free pie Wednesday we always go home with a bag full of food. As a family of 5 we usually average around $100 for our meal and then we add tips on top. Some things have changed during this corona outbreak but theyre staying on top of things by having diners wait in their cars and they call when tables are available if theres a wait. Everything is continually wiped down and cleaned (the door, tables, condiments, etc.) The tables and booths are far enough apart to give everyone plenty of distance and the staff is in masks the whole time. All in all we enjoy our local OCharleys and hope to see this restaurant around for many years to come.
Came here today around 6 and everything was perfect! We had Leanne as our waitress and we didn’t have to ask for anything because she was already ahead of us! Wonderful customer service and people like her makes me happy I’m spending my money there! We need more Leannes!
Good food , nice waitress I had . I had to request my seats be cleaned before I sat down because there were still crumbs on them . I also asked the girl to sweep the floor but she swept the seat instead ? There were so many employees walking around while it wasn’t busy at all and no one could properly clean the eating areas . The time I visited before this my rolls were stale . It’s like flipping a coin with this restaurant .
It’s an O’Charley’s so pretty much what you see is what you get with general atmosphere, lighting, etc. The menu is fine for the chain it is. The bartender was completely overwhelmed and there were dirty dishes everywhere. No one was helping out. Stopped for a beer and waited over twenty minutes to pay. I won’t be coming back. Table service is friendly, but everything is slow here. FEB ‘21
We had an excellent meal with great service. I always order brocolli triple steamed because I dont like it raw and hard. Tonight it was the best I ever had. The staff seemed to be practicing Covid protocol well, constantly sanitizing and keeping everyone at a safe distance.
Could not rate because we never got waited on, at the bar no one else several wait staff around ? I guess I sat in the wrong place or had gang colors. JAMES @ Ruby Tuesday help us today. I tip fairly better than the average bad hair guy. Maybe next time will be better anyway it is Halloween Week 🎃
Only positive note is the food was good. Service was the worst I have ever had anywhere. Our waiter (Sol) didn’t refill drink without us asking. Once we asked for a refill and it took over 10 minutes to get. He didn’t bring the side salad until the meal which it was suppose to come before. We asked for an extra plate when he brought our food and he finally brought it when we were finished. We asked for bread when we ordered and we ended up having to go to the bar before we ever got any...20 minutes later. He completely didn’t care and didn’t hide it. One time waiting for him to bring a refill we flagged down the hostess (Sarah) and asked for water. She literally just went and told him. Still took another 5 minutes for him to walk by and say he was going to bring water back. The worst part was they weren’t even busy. Do not recommend and will drive to another town when we eat O’Charles in the future
Had a wonderful dinner with my wife. The service was friendly and helpful, we were seated almost immediately, and our server, Joshua, was very nice and attentive. We came on a weeknight, so it wasnt too crowded, but still very busy.Lots of different age groups were there: older couples, families with young children, college students celebrating some event, etc. And no one was being inconsiderate or inconveniencing anyone else. Very nice! Our food was great and was served hot. (Joshua gave us plenty of warning, and still almost burned his fingers!) Everything was delicious, good portion sizes, and reasonably priced. If you happen to go, and youre not lucky enough to have Joshua as your server, I believe that you will still have a good time.Oh, and as a Veteran, I really appreciated their partnership with the Folded Flag Foundation, as well as all that they do for the Servicemen and women of our great country. Keep up the good work!
Not a good day for one of our favorite places to eat. Rolls- left no butter. Chips and dip - dip was cold. Chicken - over cooked. Fries - over cooked and to salty. Was asked if need refills on drinks, yes - received after about 7 minutes and food was to cold to eat then. It was not that busy this day. I would still go back again. Just giving rating and comments .
I give this place a five for persevering and overcoming a restaurant full of unexpected large groups: tow of twelve or more and one of thirty, plus regular guests. We waited a little longer for a waiter, but soon enough the kitchen was cranking out orders and all was well. Great manager, too. Came over and talked to our table even though controlled chaos was going on around him! Of course, the food was great!
Good food, good service, good atmosphere. Had gift exchange with my daughter. I had the southern honey drizzled chicken with mashed sweet potatoes and broccoli. The chicken was crispy crusted, yet the meat was tender and juicy. Everything was just right. My daughter had the chicken tenders with fries. The portion size was so good that she had to take half of it home.
The food was horrible! We order prime rib for two, and both got returned. The Alpo I feed my dog has more flavor than steak. Service was good, but doesnt make up for the food. Returned my entire plate and when the check came, we were charged full price.DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!
Me and my friends showed up to on a Tuesday, and were excited to see that they had a great deal on limitless chicken tenders. The wait staff was extremely pleasant and we had an overall great experience. The service was slightly slow, but it was overall a great experience.
My Mother and I decided to do lunch here. The quality of my food was not good at all. I ordered the steak, broccoli and baked potato. Let me just say I normally ask for a to go box, but I left a large portion of my food to be thrown away. It was terrible. The only reason for the two stars is because of the nice server. We will not be going back here, to waste money every again.
My husband and I came to OCharleys Wednesday night and we had a waitress name Shelby, she was remarkable, everything we ask for she was was right on it, never had to ask two or three times for anything. Great smile, respectful and such a pleasure coming in and her being our waitress. You al ad o have a waitress named Dana and she is the bomb as well and I hope u will recognize these two ladies. You cant help but to wish these two ladies the very best.
Great choice for lunch. All you can eat soup & salad w/ bread. Our salads were very fresh, soup I choose was a mexican type soup, but my friends chose loaded baked potato soup. I think i should have ordered that too, but we had a great waitress and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. It was free pie Wednesday and French Silk was an excellent way to top a good lunch.
Food was good but service was terrible tonight. Manager and hostess would not separate a table to make us a place for our party of four. We were made to sit in a booth even after asking for a table. Our server was slow, lazy, or just didnt care. We had to ask for refills, more rolls, dessert etc then had to wait a ridiculous amount of time. Wont be returning anytime soon.
Bad experience when the waitress tells you how you are to let her “officially” greet you before she takes your order. We both ordered side salads which should have come out before our entree so we took it to go so our meals would not get cold while we waited for our salads.I do not believe a customer EVER needs to be chastised by a wait staff even if they are rude which we were not.Food was good wait staff horrible.
I’m currently waiting on my lunch, I was unaware that at 1230pm; I would have to order from the “Brunch” menu. In addition, I didn’t know that getting a drink refilled would be near impossible since I have yet to be asked for a refill at 1:15pm. It took 20 minutes to get the rolls because they had to bake them. I’m now 45 minutes into placing my order and I ordered a side salad and still have yet to receive it. Other o’Charley’s I have visited have always had great service with managers coming around to speak to the customers. I understand it’s Sunday afternoon and people have left church to eat with their families, but bad service is no excuse.
Came for dinner, approx 8pm. Service was really quick and pleasant. Food and drinks were excellent. Prices reasonable. Had the fried green tomatoes (really good!), crab cake and sirloin, with baby green beans and loaded baked potato. Excellent! Really enjoyed the meal! Ive been here for lunch also, really jumping!
Best restaurant I have ever ate at. Everything there is great, the food, the service, everything. The steaks, chicken, or any meats at that is tender and juicy couldnt ask for anything better. The side dishes are also wonderful, the salads are very fresh. I highly recommend this place to everyone who wants to have a great meal. As far as acholic drinks though Im not to fond of, that is one thing they can do better on when it comes to mixed or poured drinks. But I still recommend this place for their food.
Well, it was actually an eventful night. To make a long story short, we waited about an hour and a half for our food, it came out cold. We asked to speak with a manger so we could rectify the situation, she came out from the kitchen and immediately apologized for our inconvenience and told us the honest truth about how our ticket had been lost in the midst of the chaos within the kitchen and she was deeply sorry, she offered to replace the food AND take care of our ticket and that there was no excuse for what had happened. The customer service we experienced tonight was somthing you dont see in a lot of places anymore, I was ecstatic to see someone who actually cared about the customer and ready to fix what needed to be fixed. ALSO our waitress tonight was the real MVP in keeping us refilled on drinks and bread thru the whole shindig. Rachel shout out to you! You ROCK!
I have been avoiding dining in a bit because of Covid but went to the Carrolton OCharleys a few days ago. I was pleasantly surprised! The food and service were amazing as always but I also felt very comfortable with how clean everything was and how they were handling social distancing ect. Will definitely be back.
This store is progressively declining. The booth seats are getting torn and lumpy. The store is starting to get a mildew smell. The quality of food is inconsistent. Sometimes its good, other times its undercooked, over cooked or the tenders look like scrap pieces. You never know what youre going to get.
Excellent service by Desiree, shes been here 2 years. Salmon Bowl and Louisiana Sirloin were great. Also had Frozen Strawberry Lemonade Pie and Double Crusted Cherry Pie. Never a disappointment with dessert. General Manager, Laura Glowacki was very personable as well and active in the restaurant.Love this place!
It seems they’re never really busy but have the slowest service. The last time we went, my food came out warm... not fresh, but warm. Very disappointing. And the waitress couldn’t get our tickets correct. They food was still good. But don’t get me wrong, my last experience went well & the waitress was really nice. I guess it depends on the number of your party... it seems, if the service will be great or not so great.
I usually love going to O’Charley’s restaurant. However, recently I had an experience that left a bad taste in my mouth. I ordered full course meals for my partner and I online; both of us got the New Orleans Cajun Chicken pasta, salad, soup, rolls, desserts and drinks. We went to pick up the order and they had everything ready except for the drinks. We asked about the missing drinks and I told them I purchased everything online. One of the managers said the drinks didn’t show up in their system and we couldn’t get drinks unless we could prove we paid for them already. I literally had to pull up my confirmation email to show them everything I paid for. We finally got the drinks after so much hassle. When we got home to eat the food, we noticed that the quality of our pasta dishes were very different even though we got the same dish. My pasta had a lot of chicken, onions and bell peppers in it. My partner’s pasta barely had anything in it besides the noodles. We were very disappointed with the hassle of picking up our food and then coming home to find out the food was not up to par.
Very disappointing when we received our main course. We requested our steaks medium and received both plates well done. Manager asked if we wanted to return them and wait for others but we did not have the time to wait. I thought that they would removed them from our bill. Instead of removing them from our bill. They removed a appetizer which was half the cost of one of the plates. Poor management decisions knowing we are regulars and no sense of customer service.DISAPPOINTING!!!
We ordered prime rib for 2. We ordered fried green tomatoes.PrimeRib was way over cooked- & it looked like a flank steak-not to mention the size of it ! If it was 8 ozIm still 21 !!! Our waiter took good care of us at first, but My husband and I ate most of our lunch with nothing to drink !! We had to ask other waiters to help us !!! Not a great day for us.
Great waiter. Food came out fast. Dirty silverware and plates turned me off before my food even came out. Catfish was burned on the top and soggy on the bottom. I had fries as a side so I couldnt understand why because they werent greasy. LOVE OCharleys but this one wasnt the best. Sorry Carrollton.

2022-02-01Garrett was one of the best servers I have ever seen! He works so hard and is extremely nice to everyone even when he’s rushing around, he still took amazing care of us!! If you go to ocharleys, make sure to have Garrett as your server. And the food? AMAZING! MUAH!! Even the host, Hannah, was super sweet and helped us with everything we needed. 100% WILL be returning. Even if there is an issue with your order, management goes above and beyond to make sure the experience is enjoyable. Weve been coming here for over two years now and this is why😎💯

2022-05-01My husband and I ate here on a busy Sunday. The food was delicious, and our waiter was attentive. One person stood out amongst the others - that is the young man who delivered the meals. I asked his name, and they told me it was Race. He went above and beyond with our table, the table next to us, and a couple other tables that I saw. He doesnt just deliver the food and rush back to the kitchen; he makes sure everything is as ordered, asked us about dressings/sauces, etc. and smiling the whole time (like he had all day to wait on us). This young man is an asset to the service industry!

2022-06-19I stopped going here a year or so ago, I was not satisfied with the quality of the food or the service..As a restaurant owner it was disappointing. I saw something on the menu today and thought I’d stop in. The food was incredible. Balsamic Chicken was very tender, juicy and flavorful. The servings were adequately proportioned. Our Server Tamara was so spot on I left her a 50% tip. I asked for the manager to compliment the young lady. As we spoke I found out he was recently awarded the management position from being a cook..I was impressed with him helping his servers run food, and his knowledge of the position he now carries. His name was Gavin and he’s definitely attentive to the customers and staff! What a change. I will be going back. Way to go Carrollton O’Charleys
