Olive Garden Italian Restaurant in other cities:
The salad was excellent but the rest just fell short. My Fettuccine Alfredo noodles were all clumped together. The chicken on her Chicken Marsala was way over cooked. I found a small fly in my margarita which is no big deal. The service is awful since they have gotten the digital menus which you order and pay at. Sit at the bar if you want a actual person waiting on you.
Edit 7/10/22: Had much better service this time. Waitress was very pleasant. Not sure why its now the norm to not bring bread until after the app has been brought out.Original review: Place was clean, not crowded and waitress was nice but she didnt listen very well at all. Obviously distracted by something. Asked if we wanted cheese on the salad, we both said no. She put cheese on it anyways. That happened twice, even after we stressed that we did NOT want cheese for the 2nd bowl. Kept forgetting drink refills, and the bread. On top of the sub par table service, the kitchen was out of the only thing I ever order. That wasnt that big of a deal, but the slow service with only two tables in her section was a joke. I could see them gathered in the doorway of the kitchen, talking and laughing while waiting on drink refills. Not half empty glasses, but nothing but ice in my cup, flagging down other waitresses to ask for a refill EMPTY. I cant believe this is the place that put Johnny Carinos out of business.
We live 45 min away so as we was driving to this location my daughter downloaded the app. She placed a order for chicken Parmigiano, Shrimp and chicken something, angle hair pasta and chicken fritta and few cups of chicken gnocchi soup. We pulled up and waited about 10 mins or so. Got the bag of goodies. The packaging was excellent, everything was snapped in good and tight. Then we drove down the road to grab my food.. so by the time we got home it was hr and 15min later. My wife and kids said the food was still hot and tasted great. So thank yall for doing a great job.
They have great food and a great selection from shrimp Alfredo to chicken parm to spaghetti and lasagna and I love thier lunch special of all you can eat of salad and soup and breadsticks for just 7.99 a ND they have 4 kinds of hearty soups 🍲 to choose from and it is fabulous, the atmosphere is very pleasant and the waitresses are kind and helpful and very pleasant also.
My coworker and I were about to enter this Olive Garden her in Albany GA and over heard 2 to people talking about one of the servers having Covid. We stop to ask the workers and they advised us the person is still working and was not sent home. We did not enter the restaurant but instead called to ask to speak to a manager after experiencing our concern to the rep that answered the phone. We were put on hold for 15 mins and called back a 2nd time and still no answer. This is very scary especially during this times. This issue needs to be addressed. We will not be eatting at this Olive Garden or any fast food restaurants. Smh!
Our visit to this Olive Garden was great. Our server LaShondra was amazing. She went above and beyond. She place our toddler grandsons food order first so we could feed him while we enjoy our salad and bread sticks. This way when our dinner came we could enjoy our dinner and it not get cold. He enjoyed how much love and attention the staff showed him while we dined in this location. Next time we are passing them we will be sure to stop at this Olive Garden again.
Restaurant is disgusting. Dirt all over floor along walls and under bar. The bathrooms floors were filthy. I’m afraid to know what the kitchen looked like. Service was horrible. Took 20 mins to get water and breadsticks. My order was wrong and we didn’t get the appetizer we ordered. Server offered to bring it after we already got our food but I said never mind. The health department needs to do an inspection on this place for sure.
Was very glad to know that this place was open on the 4th of July. 6 of us went to eat and then watch the fireworks. The only bad thing, was that they were understaffed for the amount of people that ended up coming in. So it took a lot of time to to get service, for drinks, food, and desserts. All in all it is an awesome restaurant. Food is always good. Normal circumstances, the service is normally good too.
Our food was delicious and our server was very polite and attentive. I wanted one of the $5 take home dinners. When it was time to get it and pay the check the server said they didnt have any of the $5 take home dinners. She asked the manager about it before coming to tell me. Apparently the manager was not very concerned that there were no take home meals available. The server apologized but it was definitely not her fault.
My wife and I had dinner there the other night. We noticed that the food is not as good as it used to be. She ordered soup, salad, and bread sticks. I had salad and a pasta dish. Her soup was like water, my bowl of salad was missing croutons. My wife asked for another different kind of soup. It was extremely salty.Im not a complainer, so all this I am saying is because the food is not as good as it used to be. I hate it because it was one of my favorite places to eat.
Getting waited-on was lacking. Large group seated after was easier on, and was taking orders before we were waited on. After sitting for about 10 minutes. A young man came & took our drink order, which was brought right away. After another 10 minutes, went to hostess deck to find out who our server was. Same gentleman took out order. Since we were eating soup & salad only. Our waitress brought out our food, and it was correct. Waitress, Jenlala was great. Food was great.
We have this restaurant a couple of chances and we are glad we did. We had a fantastic server and everyone from the front door to our table and back were all greeting us and energetic. On top of that we still received our food very quickly and it was all fresh and tasted great. We had a great experience and definitely will be coming back!
Went on Fathers Day so you know it was not crowded as most restaurants werent.😒 But thats another story. The point is although the wait to get in was short, and the food was good... Service was very slow. The appetizers came out slow, and the entrees came out even slower. Ive been here before and I know they can do better. Smh 😐
Ordered online, order was ready at pick up time and the young lady who brought the food out was so nice and professional. The food was delicious and the quantity matched the price we paid. They even made sure I got my plain bread sticks. The best call in order thus far!!
We sat down at 9:00. The waitress came to our table at 9:20. She took our drink orders and food orders. She brought back a tea and coke that we ordered. We never received our alcoholic beverages. Never received bread sticks or soup. The waitress came to our table at 9:35 and stated that she was still waiting for the bar to make our drinks. At 10:00 the waitress comes to our table and states that we will not receive our soup or breadsticks because that part of the kitchen is shut down but she stated that our food is on its way. She also stated that we will not receive our drinks from the bar because that was shut down. The restaurant is not busy. She had three tables. She would only check on the one table the entire night. Not to mention a group of 4 came in after we did and they received their alcohol, bread sticks, soup, and salad. I get the manager she states that we don’t have to pay for our coke and tea and that she is so sorry. She also stated that it’s been a crazy night. It’s 10:00 pm everything is closed so basically we sat there for no reason. Not to mention the waitress had multiple people helping her and we never received our drinks or food. I honestly think the waitress never even put in our order.Night shift employees sucked !!!I think the waitress name was Eve i know her name started with an E.
Terrible restaurant, would be much better if Albany put a different restaurant here. My father ordered steak and pasta and they only gave him the steak that was burnt, NO pasta no anything. My mother ordered chicken and pasta and only received 3 small pieces of chicken NO pasta. My sibling ordered pizza, the pizza was burnt and the other ordered the kids pasta and meatballs but the pasta was hard and dry. Terrible service, no taste, and didn’t even get our order right. The only thing that was okay was the red wine, everything else was disgusting. Don’t recommend at all, not even authentic Italian food.
Asked for a table when being seated guy wanted to give me a booth. No thanks. Server didnt ask if I wanted grated parmesan for my soup or entree. Food was great. Got the make your own pasta and tried the creamy mushroom sauce and it was good. Meatballs were juicy and tender.
Horrible service, this place has changed a lot. After they got our seat, we had to wait about 30 minutes just to bring 4 rolls of bread out. Then another 10 minutes to bring a bowl of salad with a piece of hair in it on top of it. Nevertheless, the restaurant was empty. The pastas we ordered were kind of dry; not enough sauce the soft drinks too sweet and flat flavor. Also the clothing napkins smells like grease very discussing. This was our last visit to that place...
Absolutely horrible curbside delivery. I was on my 30 minute break and decided to treat myself to Olive Garden today. It was 8 minutes past the time they said it would be ready and I had to leave. I wish I could say something good about the service today, but it was horrible…
We had a terrible experience. We were there for an hour and a half and only were served drinks salad and appetizer. Then server informed us that they could only offer one steak fettuccini when we had ordered two. So my granddaughter had to order something else. After waiting another twenty minutes we requested they just pack everything to go. We ordered two salads to go as well. When everything came we only received one salad. The server just brought us the to go bag and left. When we inquired about the bill he just pointed to this electronic device sitting on the table and walked away. We are older generation and dont get out much . I had no idea how to work that thing.
Awful service. Didnt even make it to the actual meal. Took 15 minutes for a waitress to even come get our drink order and then it was wrong when she brought it back. We were there 30 minutes before we even got to order our food. Table across from us got there after us but had their drinks and their food before we even got to order our food. When our waitress finally brought our salad and breadsticks she left us with visibly dirty plates. We got up and found somewhere else to eat with good service and clean plates. Called and spoke to the manager Holly she didnt seem terribly concerned about our poor service.
We were seated at 8:56, our sever came and took our order in a reasonable amount of time. After waiting for one hour, we still had not received our food. When we ask when would we get our food, our server started to make excuses. We ask to see the manger (Mr. White). After another 10 min’s he came over and started to make the same excuses. Mr. White said we would have our food in five min’s. We waited another 15 min’s before getting up and leaving. On our way out of the parking lot we noticed Mr. White standing out back on his phone. The staff that was on duty tonight had no clue what was going. Nor did they care!
Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience. We ordered curbside pickup. The kids meal and cutlery were missing. The chicken Marsala was inedible. The sauce had a very salty strong flavor, the chicken did not look right, and the pesto Alfredo was nothing but cream and butter - no flavor at all. The pasta was also super soggy and overcooked. We called the manager and she apologized to us and reimbursed us the full amount.
Worst Olive Garden I have EVER been too. Mind you It is one of my favorite places to eat. I have been to a ton of locations, however I will never go to the Albany location again.. and I will be rethinking going to one period after today.. I have been to this location before but this go around was that bad... glasses were dirty.. the entire place was not clean.. bathrooms, plates, silverware.. our waitress was horrible she literally picked off dirt/old food off a side plate and placed it in front of me as she said “what is that?” .. Not only that.. a strand of her red hair was in my husband food. I should have know better judging by the restaurant when we got there.. There was a toilet that had run over and the bathroom was flooded.. Other things to note during our visit..We did not get refills on drinks or bread sticks.. Had to ask for cheese that she did not bring to the table for our salads and then again our meals, no croutons in our salad.. I tried to let things slide but after the hair.. I was done.. never, never, never again. To be honest I am surprised this place is still open.
We had a party of 5 and we are all over 50 years old but they wanted to see Id for our drinks from the bar. One of us left their ID in the rental car and they refused to serve us. So we took our business to Longhorn Steak House and spent over $200 and our waitress was awesome so she got an amazing tip.. Sorry for your loss of our business OG...
Edited, July 2019: I returned to this Olive Garden because I had a gift card. To be honest, after my last experience I probably wont have chosen to return without the gift card. This time, 4 of us met there for a 12:30 lunch on a Saturday. The servers were cheerful and friendly, but the food was extremely slow again even though the restaurant wasnt busy.I added one star to my last review because at least this time the food was as expected and the service while still slow was at least friendly and competent. I still stand by my previous summation though: Management needs to step up their game: train, hire better employees, and put the failing employees on an improvement plan.May 2019: This Olive Garden is struggling. The service is consistently slow: I arrived a few minutes early for our 6:30 reservation on a weeknight when business was steady but not packed. It still took them 10 minutes past our reservation time to seat us even though the tables were empty. The server was confused: she failed to give all of the party members flatware, forgot one persons entree, and forgot to take one persons order. The food was inconsistent at best: three of us ordered the stuffed Chicken Marsala. It arrived with the potatoes very cold, like refrigerator cold. She took away our plates, microwaved them, and brought them back to us all stirred up and funky looking. Im not convinced that I even got my own plate back.Management needs to step up their game: train, hire better employees, and put the failing employees on an improvement plan.
I love olive garden! However the service we experienced here was not up to olive garden standards. With a party of 5, it took over an hour to get our food after being seated. No drink refills, rarely saw our waitress and they werent all that busy. We were seated in just a couple minutes. Probably wont be returning here any time soon.
Came in for my wifes birthday after months of not dining out. We get seated with a very sparse crowd, maybe 7 other tables occupied that we could see. 11 minutes after being seated, we have had nobody approach us at all. This has happened on multiple occasions at this store, but it will NEVER happen again. There have been a couple of excellent servers there over the years,, but they are the exception rather than the rule. Olive Garden used to be our favorite place to go when going out of town but that really changed when Albany opened up!
The first table we got we wouldnt set down due to food crumbs and other trash. The second table wasnt much better and I didnt realize until we left that a used baby food container was under the table. The service was AWFUL we had maybe 5-6 different waitresses and you would think all our needs wouldve been met but nope! I didnt see anybody wipe the tables when they cleared it! We wont return to COVID land as we now call it.
Not to many restaurant bars make you forget youre actually sitting in a restaurant, Patrick and the soon to be bartender Walker are the duo to make you forget youre actually sitting in an Olive Garden on Easter Sunday 1,000 miles away from your family. They alone deserve 5 stars because they have nailed the old bartender spirit of the listening ear and heavy handed pour. All the while youre thinking, This is so much more rewarding than my normal therapy sessions....All jokes aside, the food was good, its Olive Garden and more than likely not cooked onsite, so get past the one stars that berate the food, you didnt come here for the food, you came here because you and your wife or husband didnt feel like cooking tonight, I actually ordered mine over the phone came and picked it up and it wasnt ready so I said Im at the bar, I ended up eating my food at the bar over the course of 4 hours... But if by chance you end up in the bar area with nothing better to do for 4 hours and then drink and vent, trust me...Youre at the right place.Welcome to the Albany Mall Olive Garden...Bar, this review is about the bar. Dont forget.
I know its not 5 star dining, but the food was good despite forgetting the name of the entree I had. Bonus points for not turning the AC up to sub arctic levels which a lot of restaurants like to do in this area making sit down meals miserable. Climate aside, the waitress was very nice, attentive, and the food didnt take long at all. Good experience and will definitely go again.
The restaurant has gone down in quality. The last time I was there the areas were dirty and I blame that on management. I also had a bad experience with a call in order. The staff member was rude and had the audacity to not call the kitchen to notify them that I was there to pick up an order. Instead, an elderly couple came in behind me and she ignored me and proceeded to seat them. Instead of being rude, I decided to leave without picking up order as it appeared that my business was unimportant. Their customer service as well as the cleanliness of the restaurant have fallen substantially. I blame this on the lack of good management as the staff is only as good v as their leader. If certain things are not an expectation, then you cant expect it.
Had to ask to be put down for a table after the girl tells me its gone be 30mins turns around said nevermind I have a table along with 10 more in the same area all empty. Just the start, soup comes out looks like a bowl of water and not one dumpling in the bowl. Sent it back was told they looking for more soup, never got soup .Then tour of Italy comes out and the lasagna is burnt to hell and back. Manager took care of the bill meanwhile my wife laughing cause her meal was perfect. Guess just wasnt my day!
I dont normally leave reviews, but I also dont normally leave the restuarant before my order is taken.Sitting in the restuarant for 15 minutes waiting for our drink order to be taken while we noticed multiple other tables get served including those who were seated after us.When a waiter finally made it to our table he rudely told us he could take our order quick. The place was mostly empty.
The food was really delicious and my family enjoyed it! However, walking into the restaurant immediately smelled nasty. I thought maybe it was a cheese smell I was taking in, but other family members told me later that it smelled like bathroom and dirty carpet. Unfortunately, this will make sure that we avoid this place when visiting the city again. Our waiter, Daniel David was a great and patient host and deserves to be commended for his work!
The food was terrible. The best thing we put in our mouth was the salad. When we told the waitress she had an attitude and didn’t offer any help on the bill. We paid $55 for soup that tasted like dirty dishwater, lasagna that is stoufers quality, tasteless Alfredo with tasteless shrimp, and cold bread sticks. Don’t wast your money. They don’t care that the food sucks. Great salad though. 🙄
New server, experienced servers declining tables, and a busy Saturday night created a poor experience. Will return again, just no time soon... Will request to be seated at bar. Informed manger of total experience, she did her best to fix things. However, sour taste still remains.
We had great service! We had the endless soup salad and bread sticks. Our waitress came to our table numerous of times asking us if we were ready for more soup or salad our plates were never empty. She even asked if we would like soup to go and of course we did take some. We will be back.
Havent been to Olive Garden in a while since we dont live near one but was pleased to find they still have great food! Service was good and the prices were about the same as we expected. The waitress checked on us several times to be sure we were okay. Were only here for a few months but will definitely be back!
The service was outstanding and our waitress accomadated us very well. I was actually impressed with her professionalism even though she claimed she was still new at the restaurant. The bartender didnt know what they had for the local tap, the menu didnt specify whether certain entrees came with chicken automatically and that left a few of us with the wrong meals. The Olive garden here in Albany serves delicious food with large portions. I was pleased coming here.
Always had good experience at this o.g. but the last two times I have ordered gnocchi/chicken soup there is no gnocchi (None) in the soup. Has someone changed the recipe?? If so it should be renamed chicken/NO gnocchi soup!! I have been really disappointed so best to cook my own!!
Friendly servers, they just need to up their game a bit, refills, pace/timing. When we went it was slow but the food took a little too long. Had to ask for the salad, and just confirm I ordered the soup and salad because I sat there for sometime. In trying to just be nice, it was a bit awkward. But I do enjoy Olive Garden once in a while so Ill always go back.
Ive traveled to a lot of states. This by far is the best. The mushrooms where yummy. (Glad you changed back to your original recipe). My chicken parm was crispy and mouth watering. My husband got the seafood Alfredo it was awesome and he was amazed at the size of the shrimp. Kandi was our waitress and she is truly a gem. She is definitely hands on, excellent customer service and absolutely attentive to her guests. (I could absolutely see her training new members and traveling opening up stores for you). I actually wished I lived in GA because as I said the food and her absolutely the best.
The cook was very good tonight. At this olive garden there is nice lighting...not too dark, not too bright...and the background music is loud enough to not hear the conversations around us, but soft enough to hear the conversations at our table. Service was good. Overall, a very nice dining experience.
My server was nice, but the place was completely disorganized. I was seated at a wet, half dirty table. I noticed that tables werent getting busted and I was not the only one to have this experience. The person who I believe was the manager was taking a liquor inventory which is likely something to do before the restaurant opens as this was lunchtime. Poor food quality, could not touch the plate to eat my sandwich and fries. Neither of these items should have required any heat lamp time.Unfortunately, this has been the normal experience the last few times I have visited an Olive Garden. So sad, they used to be so good.
I got the stuffed shells never ending with shrimp and scallops. Not bad flavoring but still rather bland. The salad was standard, breadsticks were the same. The misses got the mushroom ravioli which was good. The server looked high and unshaven and unkempt. Hint for management, instill a standard for appearance.
Order was messed up... Appetizer showed up after we were done with our meal..I refused it. Everyone in my group (5) received their main course before I received my soup. Unsweet teas were sweet...no real apology and a reluctance to remove the appetizer from our bill. I dont think I will return to this location. They were not crowded but very unattentive.
Walked in at 7:15 pm ordered our drinks and entres and out by 8:20! Mind you that this is on a Saturday night also. service was excellent, drinks were great and the food was good too!! our server was very kind and even interacted with my two year old. Thank you for another wonderful dining experience!
Great service! Amazing food! Waiter was the nicest person Ive ever met. Very clean facilities, and they even gave us little mint chocaletes. I wasnt able to get the side or the salad for the regular price, but the waitor offered to pay the difference. I didnt get the side because he was so nice that I didnt want him to spend any of his own money. Great experience!
2 nd time to frequent an Olive garden restaurant.Must say the soup and salad was quite good.I ordered this as my meal and was not over the top happy by ok.The soup portions were very small but again this is all you can eat.I did try all the different soups and all were tasty. The salad was just a regular salad. Nothing special.I will recommend this as an beginning and possiblity add a pasta dish.I ordered a Merlot wine to complement the order and wine was nice. The environment was very nice and the room we had to dine in was private as my family was present. There we no complaints from anyone. The service was exceptional and very helpful with the vast menu. Many choices. The restaurant is nice but pricey .Our check was around 250.00 and there were 5Of us. Left a 50 .00 tip and probably go back.5 stars
The service is adequate and could be better. Sat at the bar while waiting for our table, the bar counter was a complete mess and we sate there for almost 12 minutes before the bartender asked us what we wanted. On the other hand the food and our sever were very good.
The smell is horrible like old dirty carpet. There was a roach I killed crawling on the wall. Food was barely eatable. There was a spilled plate on the floor next to us for over a hour that was never touched. Took 45 minutes to serve a table of 3. I love olive garden but this one is horrible. I didnt eat but a few bites left and went to burger king and had a better experience. Only gets one star because I cant give it a zero. The smell was unreal.
The first bowl of soup was at great temperature, after the bread sticks arrived my soup was gone. While waiting for another bowl my bread sticks had gotten cold. The coffee was not fresh but lukewarm. Second pot was hotter but not fresh. I asked for a fresh decaf pot. Huh! You know the rest. I tried to drink it. 🤔
Hi, I went today for my lunch and was seated in a round booth next to the bar. I sat and there was a dead cockroach. I stood up with my purse to leave and the hostess (Older black lady)asked what’s wrong? I told her there was a dead cockroach and she said ok! I left and will never go back.... wasted 15 minutes of my lunch 😤
Food was good. Service was ok. Service was just very slow. The restaurant was not overly crowded on my visit. As a matter of fact.. there were lots of empty tables in the restaurant. My waitress forgot my drink order from the bar but seemed to remember everyone elses. That was very disappointing. My friend sitting right next to me ordered two which she received but the waitress couldnt remember my one. It took soooooooo long for their drink orders to come out that I was just like... forget about it. My friend ended up giving me her 2nd one and we just put it on my bill. I tipped anyway because at least I managed to get a refill on my raspberry lemonade. And we were there for an engagement party and there were a few of us there so I figured she may have been a bit overwhelmed... even tho she had another waiter helping. I rarely come here and maybe Ill give it another try. My shrimp and chicken Carbonara was really good. Breadsticks on the other hand... entirely too salty. Disappointing.
The food was okay but this restaurant seems to have a problem with clean eating utensils. When we first sat down I noticed that the wine glasses on the table were not clean. I held them to the light and it looked like lip prints were on the glass. I first chalked this up to some miscreant walking by the tables licking the glasses but when we got our silverware they were dirty with dried food on them. But our waitress was very accommodating and got us right. They probably just need to not pack the dishwashers too full.
Good Olive garden restaurant. Our waitress was friendly and provided excellent service. Three bathrooms were clean and well stocked, but seemed kind of dim, like a light bulb needed replaced. The parking lot is on the small side, so if you go during a busy time you might have to park in the adjacent lot.
Horrible. They stuck us at a table in the far back where the employees were hanging out and carrying on conversations that werent appropriate for the work place. A large party came in and they seated them next to us. Their waitress kept leaning her backside on the side of our booth (touching me). That was very uncomfortable. Took forever to get extra napkins (had to ask twice). Very inattentive. Will be a very long time before we attempt eating there again! Also, it smells really really bad in there. That carpet needs to be replaced.
Ordered 25 minutes ago and havent got any breadsticks took 15 minutes to put in drink order3/28/2018 update to 3 starsService was great had a good waitress. The food was not great. I order the same thing every time Im at Olive Garden no matter what state it always taste the same. Not so much this timeRight back to two stars. Wanted to sign in to get my rewards and you only have an option to sign up. Lol I told the waitress it kind of defeats the purpose to sign up if the cant earn points at your location
Never once called a restaurant that had no clue when they would be actually open for the day for pickup orders. Doesnt make sense to take orders and not have an available pick up time. Good sign of bad management and no explanation provided by the Manager (or Pro as she called herself). Disappointing.
Went to have lunch there, waitress diddnt bring my husbands drink and we seen it sitting in the window for at least 10 min. My chicken alfredo came out with no chicken in it so they took it back and clearly microwaved the chicken because it was so rubbery I couldnt eat it.The table at the other side of the restaurant was being very loud and annoying and cussing several times it felt like we was at a bar rather than a restaurant Ive always liked olive garden and always had a good experience there but this time was negative. Oh and to top it off the staff told the waitress my husband was being difficult which we heard the next day.
If Im asked if Id like soup or salad, I dont expect to be charged for it when I paid more for two appetizers as my entree rather than a single entree. That should have been made clear. The manager, Cindy, said she couldnt make any adjustments. Its not worth losing a patron over a salad that comes with entrees anyway. No thanks to future visits.
In their defense, yes we came in about 45 mins before close. But it took over a half hour to get us breadsticks, the soup we ordered was cold. The soup is supposed to be unlimited but after 1 bowl they told us they were out of soup. Disappointing because the soup was a main reason our party members even wanted Olive Garden. Not a big fan of any Olive Garden location. Just hyper up, super fancy, and overpriced for below average pasta entrees.
Dont use their table machines to pay. I just paid 504 dollars on a 74 dollar meal because it said it didnt go through 5 times and to try again. Even after a day their answer is to wait up to 7 days meanwhile bills are coming out. Never in my life and Im not young seen this craziness.
We had a great time, our service from when we walked in our meal and when we were getting ready to leave was beyond great. We had a server that was wonderful and you could tell she wanted you to have a great experience. Thanks so much and we will be back, its worth the drive
We usually like going to the Olive garden but it seems like its gone downhill. The service was not good. The place has a terrible smell, like their carpet needs a good cleaning. Also the waitress tried to sit us down on a table that was wet that still had trash on it that she picked up with her hand and then tryed to seat us there. The food itself was awful, we have decided not to ever eat there again maybe we would try Olive garden again, but not in Albany. I am writing this review the next morning after eating there for dinner and the only thing I can say is I regret even stopping there last night.
I love Olive Garden- so much I worked there for a long time in Florida and could STILL eat it daily. Food has always been good, but the service is just..... so new feeling. Im always very gracious when eating out because I spent 10 years in the food service industry, but Ive been here 5 times now, and each time was almost worse than the last. Weve been during peak and non peak times. One time my entre and my sons never came out- when asked about it after my husband was finished (35 mins later) I was told oh the kitchen must still be working on it. Most recently I never recieved a refill on my drink, or our to-go boxes and we were one of 4 tables in the whole restaurant. Its hard for me to be gracious when 5 visits and the only positive thing is the food. No managers ever checked on our tables at any of the visits either- which used to be company policy (may not be any more).
Easily one of the worst, if not the worst experience I have had at a restaurant. My best friend and I evacuated to Albany from the Orlando area to escape Hurricane Irma. Our town is currently without power, so we will be residing in Albany with family for the remainder of the week. Albany has been nothing but kind to us. We have experienced great amenities and great meals, that being said todays lunch was less than sub-par.Helping out her family, we took her kid cousins to Olive Garden for lunch today around noon. The restaurant was not busy at all and we were seated immediately. Our waiter, Montrell(sp?), started out fine as he took our drink order and delivered them promptly. Our issues started after ordering our meal. We ordered two create your own pastas, two childrens meals, and sauce for our breadsticks. Soon after we received stale breadsticks and no sauce. Our waiter informed us the sauce would be out shortly, but after 15 minutes, we realized it wasnt coming and our waiter had not been by. When we were able to get his attention, we reminded him we were still waiting, and I say reminded because he had completely forgotten. It took another 10 minutes for him to bring the sauce without more breadsticks being brought to the table, mind you we had already eaten the stale ones because we were accompanied by two hungry children.Addition to waiting for something as simple as breadsticks, we dealt with a waiter who was inattentive. He never once cleared our table or motioned for someone to clear it. He brought our main entrees while our table was full of empty cups, soup bowls and salad dishes. It was then that a busboy realized our table was full and cleared it. Our waiter also disregarded my request to bring both of the children water as they had finished their sodas. He might have visited our table about 4 times. The food was standard Olive Garden quality, so no complaints there. Our experience unfortunately did not end there. We paid with a hundred dollar bill and received a hundred dollars back in various bills and coins. Correct me if Im wrong, but standard practice is to charge whatever our bill was and give us the remaining change. We were confused as to why this happened, so we asked for a manager. Fifteen minutes later, a female manager came to our table and asked what the issue was. We proceeded to tell her about our confusion and she then left and sent our waiter over. Obviously, our issue was with how our waiter handled the bill, which put us in a very awkward position. Very upset that a floor manager chose not to help us understand the situation, most likely due to our age.Us being in our early twenties, we often get treated as though our service is not as important as other guests who are older, due to the assumption we wont tip as well. (Our thoughts were confirmed as we saw our waiter diligently attending older patrons at the tables surrounding ours - always making sure their drinks were full and their tables cleared.) Im sorry that this is a common thought because the below average service that was given resulted in a below average tip. Being raised right, when given respectful service, I tip exceptionally well.Evacuating has been stressful and this encounter did not help one bit.Highly disappointed!Sincerely,an avid Olive Garden go-er
It was by for my worst experience at Olive Garden which was my go to restaurant until yesterday. My daughters lasagna was burned and their shrimp alfredo was bland. The server didnt introduce herself, she constantly dropped items such as the cheese grater and straws. The server was also argumentive when I asked for the shrimp frittta without the scampi sauce, then she said she didnt know because shes new.
My wife and I just went in for a late lunch. Looked to be 12-15 people inside. Not busy at all. Was there for maybe 10 mins and hadn’t seen a server yet. We got up and walked out. This Albany location is the worst Olive Garden I’ve ever been to. We actually loved Olive Garden before it came to Albany Ga. It has to be poor management. And obviously the corporate office is not staying on top of their restaurants
I came to try their to go options and was pleasantly pleased with the service and my order. The hostess was very accomodating and genial. They offer a nice variety of to-go options if you dont have time to sit down at the restaurant. I will definitely use this as an option again.
I dont know whos hiring the staffs but that manager of yours has a nasty attitude. I dont know if you all have different managers like they do at other restaurants but the one that im referring to is white/ female. I think her name is Holly Henry.I have never met someone as unprofessional and hostile over food as her. Her aggressiveness is quite unsettling. It makes me not want to come to the place anymore. Her anger is threatening and I can only imagine how far shell go to make customers scatter from your establishment. Please do better Olive Garden.
Soups tasted totally different from my last visit. The coffee was lukewarm so when the cream was added it became cold never could get it reheat it I asked a question regarding items on the menu if they were sold separately or if they came together and I was told by the server that it came together when the ticket came the price was nothing like the menu spoke with the manager and she said that was corporate that she couldnt change that we tried to tell her that it was not clear and after asking the server and he confirmed that it all came together I ordered it only to find out differently thats why I gave it one star
My family and I love olive garden. Its the restaurant of choice for my birthday every year. However, I have a large family. Im 32, the oldest of13 kids. I have a 2 year old as well. I came in town to visit my family and we decided, of course to dine at Olive garden. It was last minute, not planned, so we didnt call ahead. We expected to wait a while for then to assist such a large group. Instead of courtesy and kindness we got eyerolls and rudeness. They were irritated and unprofessional. Im sorry my large family offends you. Not only that, but it took 35 mins to get drinks, 45 mins to get an iced coffee I ordered at the same time everyone else ordered, and an hour and 30 to get food. When we got the food, the kids pizzas we ordered (x6) were burnt black, the coffee of warm and in a to go cup without ice, and the breadsticks were so salty we couldnt eat them. It just felt like they were targeting us bc we were a large family. We will be pleased to take our substantial business elsewhere. The kids were well behaved and sat and colored until food came, so its not as if we were causing chaos or messy or noisy. The whole thing was not necessary.
Food was good waitress was awesome but watched 4 employees and 2 managers play the new chair challenge in the back seating area being loud and obnoxious... Not managed well at all very disappointed and they were out of several items probably wont be back.. Was mine and husbands wedding anniversary very dissapointed
Our server sucked bad!!! I ordered the kids grilled chicken with gluten free rotini and marinara sauce. First the part came to the table after everyone else got theirs.....secondly all it had was chicken and grapes, I had to tell her it came with pasta and then she brings that with no sauce. She said there wasnt gluten free sauce. We had to tell her that marinara sauce is gluten free and its just tomatoes. After we paid our check she grab the ziosk and did the survey for us. Really??!!!
Poor service. It took 40 minutes just for a bowl of soup. When we sat down we got our drinks within minutes. We gave our order and got the breadsticks 10 mins. later the salad came. 20 minutes my son got his Mac and cheese. After 40 minutes we got our soup. Finished both salad and soup and an empty drink glass and waited another 10 minutes for the waitress, her name is Jasmine. Over all for soup and salad it took one hour to get my second bowl. It was not busy, only 2 other tables for a total of 8 people. This was the poorest and slowest service yet.
Very disappointed with the service we received tonight. me and my friends come here mostly for the amazing salad they serve right when you sit down. we sat down and waited 15 minutes and had to ask someone where our waiter was. after he came out he was really aggressive and not helpful at all. he didn’t serve our breadsticks or salad and said we had to order for us to get a small salad for ourselves. every other time i’ve came they instantly bring out the salad and breadsticks before you even order. i’m really upset and uncomfortable sitting her eyes as i write this review waiting on my food to come out. our waiters name is lily. he acted like we were stupid just for ordering monzerella sticks for one of our meals and said this wasn’t a mexican restaurant. 😒 highly upset, wont be coming back.
I give it a 5 although they was out of that brownie beautimiss on the menu 😭 it was supposed to be lots of chocolate. My mouth watered, my fat thighs started shivering from anticipation, and yet got let down at the very end. Much like most the men Ive encountered 😂😂still the best food tho
Honestly, the best meal I ever had at Olive Garden... Was a really busy night but got a booth in 10 minutes... Server was new, but did a fairly good job, was a bit slow getting out the salad and bread sticks, but both were tasty when they got to the table... Had one issue with the bar order, but our server made it right and I felt well compensated... Had the Build Your Pasta and the Creamy Pesto with Italian Sausage was very yummy... Excellent Pesto that was not just an Alfredo with basil in it, an excellent option from the OG kitchen... Had the Chocolate Lasagna for dessert and it was cold and rich and a total taste treat... Definitely a good dining experience... Only complaint I can really mention is the booths are a bit small..Our party had husky frames and the seating was a but tight... Very enjoyable meal regardless....

2022-05-13I was extremely impressed with the manners and service of Alyssa and her team. After many hours of flying from LA, it was nice to have good food and southern hospitality. As a former server myself, I dreaded when guests came in within the last hour if the night. LolBut Alyssa was wonderful and made the experience very pleasant.I miss the south. You dont get that service and mannerisms in California.

2021-10-27Great experience! Nice atmosphere! Wait staff was excellent! Very professional and friendly. Great service. Food was good and hot. Prices were reasonable as well. Staff accommodated our party with seating at a table away from other customers to help protect the special needs members of our family during this pandemic which was much appreciated. They help us celebrate the birthday of my special needs daughter and it made her day!

2022-02-02Olive Garden is the best kept secret in Albany Georgia. In a city where customer service takes a backseat, Olive Garden outshines all other restaurants in our area in customer service. Our waitress Shon was by far THE best. Thank you for such a great experience eating out, you made my birthday dinner awesome. I think don’t believe this is a fluke that we happened in on a “God night” this is the second time we’ve been there with top notch service. Again thank you. The food was also very good.

2022-03-30We go here quite a bit since its my 4yo sons favorite restaurant. We had his birthday lunch on this particular visit & all the servers sang to him, gave him cake & just generally made him feel very special. I used to not care for this place at all but its grown on me & I usually really enjoy my meals.

2022-06-30Hey its Olive Garden, however this particular one has a bartender named Jashuna. She was absolutely on point. She was waiting 5 tables plus 4 people at the bar. She never stopped moving. This was the best service Ive had in a restaurant in years.

2022-06-26The food taste was good, the presentation looked like it was already eaten from, the was sauce all over the side of the plates and bowls, the waitress handed my wife a hot plate (like fingerprint removal hot) and served others with attentiveness rather than us, the manager came over and asked if there was anything he could get us, Ive asked for water 3 times now and my wife asked twice for me, we had to flag down the waitress several times as she was trying to skip right past us while attending to her preferred customers, its a real shame because my wife loves olive garden, after this Ill definitely have to tell my friends to save their money and go somewhere else, I always tip, even with bad service or long wait times, wont happen with this visit.

2022-05-07I went to Olive Garden and ordered the Tour of Italy. I was disappointed that there was NO SWEET TEA! Despite Olive Garden being next to several grocery stores, they managed to run out of tea bags! I just asked for Lemons and made lemonade because I dislike HFCS High Fructose Corn Syrup in all their other drinks (Coke Products) and since I have to drive home I cannot get a glass/bottle of wine. I usually love the Lasagna but it somehow tasted burnt on this outing.

2022-06-02We walked in at lunch time, no crowd, seated us as soon as we walked in. 2 or 3 servers walked by, nobody stopped or acknowledged us. I clicked on the Call Server button on the electronic device. Nothing. Pressed the button 2 more times. After waiting 20 minutes we walked out. Terrible service, if they had No Stars I would have selected that.
