Olive Garden Italian Restaurant in other cities:
The service was great. Our waiter did a great job. Everyone in the restaurant was wonderful. The salad was delicious. The Olive Garden salad dressing was so good, i went to the grocery store the same day to get some. But some of dishes could use some work. But other that, its a great restaurant!!! Great atmosphere. I recommend this restaurant to all. Date night, family day or just out on the town.
My husband and I had a wonderful meal at the Athens, GA, Olive Garden this evening. Our server, Nikki, was absolutely fantastic! She was kind, helpful, efficient, and overall just amazing. Her smile is contagious, and we appreciate how welcome she made us feel. Our food was so delicious and fulfilling as well!
Just for everyone saying there’s “no notification” on the door about mandating masks. there’s 2 bright orange signs on the door, and 1 on the host stand. also, it’s a clarke county mandate, so if you get mad at the employees for doing their job maybe you should just stay home. it’s life. deal with it.
Ordered online the servers who brought out carside were amazing. Thats where the good part ends. The salads were brown the lunch portion meal wouldnt have satisfied a childs hunger. They left off the broccoli 🥦 and 20oz to go tea shouldnt be almost $4. When my office manager called to speak with a manager he assured us he checked the order himself and it was satisfactory to his standards. Theyve lost our business for sure with their sub-par standards and lack of concern with a nonchalant attitude
What can I say it’s the Olive Garden. It’s always good, or at least when I go. We tried out this location in Athens while traveling and it did not disappoint. Everything tasted wonderful, lasagna , soup toscana, bread rolls, shrimp it was all good. And the place was very well kept and clean and staff were friendly.
April 23rd I ate at Olive Garden I would like to say it was 1000% improved . I ordered Cheese Ravioli with meat sauce,. Salad. My Ravioli came on a plate with meat sauce baked perfect. Wow what a beautiful dish and it was Great. Salad was very good. Bread sticks perfect. Thanks
The bread sticks that they are famous for were stale. The store closes at 11 but the kitchen closes at 10:30. So we couldnt get dessert or order anything else. My food wasnt good at all. I ordered a steak and it was overdone. They did take it off the check though. I dont see myself going back again.
A disappointment in this last visit. It was my Birthday and I wanted Italian. We went on a Sunday afternoon. The waiter was very good. I order the same thing.I Love the Lazanya Classico. With a side of meatballs 😋The dish was hot but, had NO SAUCE. The meatballs were dry.No sauce on them. They looked like the frozen type you buy at Walmart. The Lazanya only had a small amount of sauce, not even enough to rub my dry meatballs into..Wont be going back anytime soon.
Beautifully decorated, quick service, clean restaurant. They have a statement on their website that says their gluten-free options are prepared in the same kitchen but with separate utensils from the other foods. It sounded fairly promising, but after seeing many bad reviews of aolive Garden the chain from Celiacs online, my husband (who has celiac) was too scared to order anything besides salad with no croutons. He thankfully didnt get sick, but all he had was salad. I got the gluten-free rotini pasta. It was very good and I couldnt even tell the noodles were gluten free, but a friend there with us pointed out that the noodle I got was not rotini. It made me question if the noodle was actually gluten-free. I dont react to gluten, so I dont know. Overall the food was very good and the service was excellent, but our lack of confidence in their abilities to meet our allergen needs made me knock the review down to 4 stars.
A very proud and delicious meal. It is nice that the Olive Garden recognized veterans by providing a meal this year. A huge thanks! If you have not tried it the chicken parmesan with side of spaghetti, Italian salad, and breadsticks are absolutely delicious. Be prepared to wait for a few minutes as this is a popular destination and even though they have tons of seating it may take a bit to get seated. Courteous staff, clean facility, and wonderful food!
Last night I was eating dinner at Olive Garden and when I went to crank my car to leave, it was totally and completely dead. Absolutely lifeless. I went inside to inquire if anyone perchance had jumper cables or if not, if i could leave my car overnight. The sweet hostess went to check with her general manager, Adam, who heroically saved the day. Even though it was freezing cold, Adam joyfully used his own jumper cables and fixed my dead car within two minutes. I’m assuming that wasn’t in his job description, but he handled the situation skillfully and gentlemanly. Very thankful for men like Adam.
Thoroughly enjoyed our evening out as a family! We had incredible service from Mandy, she knocked it out of the park. As a previous trainer for Darden Restaurants, I was impressed by her. She had new little tricks I hadnt seen yet. As a mom, its much appreciated!Cant wait to come back and sit with Mandy! Hold onto her Management, servers like her are rare!Food was awesome as always! And my Berry Sangria was delicious! Great job to the staff as a whole tonight.
Went in for dinner 1/24/22 and had a wonderful evening with Matthew as our server. That was until we went to leave and witnessed an unpleasant sight of one lady at the Togo station being yelled at by, who I can only assume was another Togo person as they had matching shirts. Even heard the one being yelled at tell the other to talk with management. The yeller went into the kitchen while the other tried to keep it together trying to work. Horrible situation
I’ve been to Olive Garden many times just because or to celebrate birthdays. This time I was there for my birthday! We received the BEST customer service from your waitress Remy! If I could give 10 stars I would! She made my birthday dinner their quite special! It will be a birthday dinner to always remember thanks to Remy!
Olive Garden has always been a favorite spot of mine. My brother and i used to hangout there before he passed away. I still carry on some traditions he and i started. Its great to see that my Olive Garden is still there, up and running, reliable and accommodating to my needs. Food is still great, although salt content will be an issue depending on who is head Chef in the kitchen. My family and i had lunch there as always, happy customers all around. Food was great, service top notch, and atmosphere very friendly. As an aside, i have found service to be more attentive and food quicker at lunch times, for obvious reasons, its not too crowded. So if you dont like long waits and crowds, have lunch there! I went on a Saturday and still had no waiting. It was wonderful!
I went there today hoping to enjoy a quick quiet dinner alone. Well I was seated and it took someone over 10 minutes to realize that no one had been there to greet me or even take my drink order. I kept looking around wondering when someone would come and when the young lady came I had had enough. So disappointed as I was really looking forward to having some salad and bread and shrimp scampi!
My wife and i stopped in the evening on 11/22 for a nice dinner after a very long drive. The place was packed. The food was as we remembered, not going to complain there. However, the bully of a man managing the place ruined our evening! We witnessed this guy, I believe he said his name was Joe, yelling so loudly at another family sitting beside us. His professionalism was non-existent. He then went to publically humiliate the female server in front of patrons and peers. He spoke loudly and so harsh that the poor girl was fighting back tears. This is disgusting! Feel for that young girl.
We only planned on going in for a quick glass of wine and to share an appetizer. We shared the fried rigatoni, which was incredible. Ended up with both of us getting chicken parm and for an extra $5 we took home the 4 cheese pasta. Had so much leftover that I literally ate it 3 days in a row! Delicious, friendly staff and well be back!
Me and my coworkers love ordering our lunch from Olive Garden. The food is great and I always look forward to dealing with one of their best employees Cathy. I have never had an issue and she ALWAYS makes me feel like I am her favorite customer. I have seen her do the same with others she is one of the best and has always gone above and beyond for me.
Went with the family on a weeknight. It was quick to get seated since there wasnt a large crowd. The place was very clean, and you could see bottles of disinfectant as well as hand sanitizer everywhere. The staff was incredibly personable and courteous. Our server took wonderful care of us while we dined. The food was superb. Everything came out exactly as ordered, and was cooked to perfection.
We used the Curbside Service and it was promptly delivered to us and the young lady was pleasant. Unfortunately, this was the only plus. Our Bread Sticks were so hard that they could not be eaten and we ordered extra which were all thrown out! There was a ton of Parmesan Cheese added to each entree, it was NOT requested. Our soup was not done. The kale was freshly added and not even close to being cooked...not even wilted. On an ending note, where did all of the grease come from? The Chicken Parmesan was inedible. Even the spaghetti was soaked in oil. Absolutely unacceptable quality from Olive Garden. Called the store immediately and was told... We will have the GM reach out to you. So, when is this happening?! Perhaps, this is one of those learning experiences and the lesson is to eat in...
Today my family and I went to eat here and the service at first was awful. We get there and we sit down and no one came to our table and asks us what we wanted to drink so my husband finally told a waiter who was also the manager he was the one waiting on tables. I guess we didnt had a waiter so he took over to wait on tables. This is so sad that they dont have enough people working there. So I told him we have been waiting more than 20 minutes, he apologized and he told us that the appetizer will be in the house and he got our order finally and the food came right away . The manager told us that we will give us 25% off our bill and gave us free dessert to take home. So the manager step up to the plate and took care of us. We are the customers so we should be taking good care when eating at any restaurant. Honestly, I probably wront be back here but the manager was nice and the food was delicious. This place used to be awesome back in the days but lately everywhere you go out to eat here in Athens the service for the restaurants is horrible.
This restaurant has consistently great food! Always fresh and well prepared. Salad was crisp & balanced, breadsticks were soft and well seasoned. It took very little time to get our entrees- chicken margherita - flavorful & seasoned with a Mediterranean flair- simply delicious— and the Asiago tortellini w/grilled chicken Alfredo was completely off the chain! Portions were incredibly generous and cooked to perfection. Additionally, our server, who had recently transferred in from another Olive Garden was extremely personable & incredibly on point- she absolutely thought of everything. Had a fantastic meal & a great experience. Will definitely keep this place in our top rotation when we are able to eat out!
Disappointed that they only had 3 entrees on the menu that were vegetarian, and out of those 1 was out of stock when we went in for lunch. My mom ended up having a $7 plate of spaghetti because there was nothing else she could eat. I understand catering to your customer base, but olive garden needs to diversify their menu to be more inclusive or I won’t be back.
Went for lunch. Sat outside. No one else was out there. The tables were so dirty. Big spaghetti strands and sauce on them. When I asked the person to clean them she got upset with meand said people eat here they are going to be dirty (!). Our server acted like he rather be ANYWHERE else in the world. We didnt know we were supposed to order on the computer. They never said anything or how to use it. The food wasnt bad, but the service and experience was lacking.
Well first off, this isnt the first time my family and I have been to this restaurant. But it has been a while since we have been. With that being said this was one of the worst dinners out with my family that I can remember, the food was very poor quality both in flavor and preparation. Also the service was absolutely terrible, my wife was never brought her beverage until I reminded the server twice, our oldest son ordered meatballs with his Entre, he never got them until we asked for the check. I would definitely understand if it was a Friday and before covid and the place was slammed but bone of that was the case!!! I will not return to this restaurant and I will encourage my family and friends to do the same!! Very very mismanaged and poorly run....
Worst food we have ever had at Olive Garden period! Soup was cold, bread stick hard in one end and Soft on the other. Salad had way too much dressing in it. We spoke with a manager and he took off the meals from the check which was a good thing but didn’t seem to care about our comment of filthy restrooms, he just walked away. We should have just left but the waitress was good and very concerned so we gave it another chance. We ordered the $5 to go meals advertised to take home for tomorrow and they were both terrible too. If they think the Pandemic is an excuse for poor food or not having experienced kitchen staff they should just close the doors. At times like these, the food must be exceptional and cleanliness is the norm not an exception.I can not recommend this location at this time. I will give them another chance in the future. But for now, management needs to be more courteous and do whatever is needed to keep patrons coming back, giving GOOD reviews and letting their friends know about a good place to go during these horrific times we all are enduring!!!!
Even though Olive Garden is nothing like it used to be, it still remains on my list for restaurants that dont disappoint. Our waiter was nice and the food was good. It did leave much to be desired if youre looking for a more authentic meal, however, I cant complain overall.
Our server was great. The hostess was rude and short with me when I asked where the bathroom was 🤷🏼♀️. My husband and I enjoyed the fried calamari, however the salad was swimming in excess water and the massive amount of dressing didnt help. The stuffed shells were bland. My kids had the Kids menu pizzas, the pepperoni one was okay, however the cheese one reminded us of a hockey puck. It was burnt and inedible and literally black in color. Theres no way whomever plated that could have believed that was an acceptable thing to serve and it shouldnt have made it to our table. I should have sent it back or complained, but I was anxious to leave as the table directly next to us had two kids with them who were coughing non stop and were visibly sick. Social distancing was not a thing here.
Went to Olive Garden today for lunch. The server was very attentive and friendly. He constantly checked on us and refilled our drinks in a timely manner. Although I did not get his nam, he was fantastic! Being that it was lunch time the restaurant was surprisingly slim. There was two of us. We ordered chicken parmesan and chicken gnocchi with the usual delicious and famous Olive Garden salad with bread sticks! Yummy 😋
Want everyone to wait outside in 37 degree and windy weather until seated! Face Diapers! Could not sit as group! Never brought requested condiments! Needed to wear coats while eating for comfort! Poor wait service! Restroom was nasty! Wouldnt take payments, had to use Faulty electronics on table and no receipt! Food was OK. Still Tipped 20 percent...Praise the Lord!
Okay we had an amazing server Lehlia (hope I spelled it right) who was amazing and awesome all in one! She was friendly and took care of a table of 5 with no problems! This young lady is the type of server all restaurants need! Cant thank her enough for being so awesome!
The only reason I gave one star is our waitress was amazing! It took an hour for our party of 7 to even get our drinks. As our waitress had to make them herself. Our food took even longer. And we didnt even get it all together. Part of the table was finished eating by time some more of us got our food. And 2 of us had it to go. Yes our waitress fixed our bill. Needless to say my mother in laws Birthday dinner was not a good one. Food was pretty good though
The food and service was excellent. No complaints except I think they should bring you salt and pepper without having to hunt the server down to get it. Your food ends up getting cold before you can even get salt and pepper. I realize right now theyre not leaving these on the table, but they can bring them to you when you get your food automatically without having to request them.
What an absolutely horrible in abysmal night....who gave the option for our 10-year-old daughter to go anywhere she wanted to go and she absolutely loves Olive garden and most of all the experiences have been great up until this point. Due to covid they do have limited seating or so it seemed or spaced out seating, however the waitress that we got apparently was either new or incompetent or maybe both.Upon serving us we had to ask for drinks several times for refills and upon getting unlimited soup and unlimited breadsticks and salad we got one serving of each as the waitress had one other table that was an eight top and seem to be overwhelmed by that even with two other servers being runners and backups for her. Finally at the end they did serve a free dessert as part of the birthday celebration however there was no upsell for us there was not even a question or hint of anything that we wanted at that point. I was done with the meal, done with the server, and I doubt well go back anytime soon!!!I understand things are different now due to covid and other various outcomes, environmental or otherwise however theres no excuse for you not to do your job and provide at least somewhat excellent customer service and there are the ABCs of being a waitress and being in the hospitality industry, I halfway blame her but I fully blame the leadership and the management and the training!!!!!
Food was good but I got 1 glass of tea and my food, then never saw another worker period!! I paid at the table on the kiosk. It was 245pm. I walked in the front door and searched for someone to seat me. Workers were sitting on the counters laughing at the to go counter.
We were served by Trina, and she was amazing. She was attentive and brought drink refills before we asked. She checked on us to make sure everything was good, and even transferred our food to boxes for us when we couldnt finish it. The food was absolutely delicious and came out quickly. Olive Garden has a great lunch menu. Out of all of the Olive Gardens that I have gone to in the past this is by far my favorite one.
My boyfriend and I dined here for a late lunch today and I was very pleased with the overall experience. Our server, Elijah, was amazing! He was very attentive, had a wonderful attitude, and was an awesome server! Our food was delicious and we got fresh breadsticks! Can’t wait to come back again soon, and I will be asking for Elijah!
Hostess waiting at the front with the purple hair is so rude, she’ll make you want to leave.I’m giving a 2 star review instead of 1 because the food is still good and our waiter made things better.Things start at the door and first appearance is something most people judge by.Something should be done, I’m sure there are more that have gone elsewhere.-Athens location
I went to this restaurant for my birthday celebration. We arrived and were promptly greeted by the hostess who told us we would be seated. That part was quick. We were guided to a table and shown menus. The lady who led us to the table got the sun out of our eyes with the window curtain. The server came and he had impeccable manners, was courteous and patient, even when we needed a few minutes to peruse the menus. He checked on us frequently throughout the dinner, as salad and bread sticks were brought to the table while we waited for the main course. Wed recommend Justin for a server, as he was very kind and helpful. The food was delicious, and very filling. You even get to-go plates. Great experience overall. Clean bathrooms, friendly staff, good location near shopping center. Id rate it 100% perfect.
Havent been in a long time wish I wouldnt have tonight, our server was wonderful but the food was all cold and seemed like it had been cooked all day. not to mention the price. afraid we wont go back****Had to edit my review because a very nice lady from customer relations emailed me and asked exactly why I was so disappointed we talked for a while.felt like she really listened. The next day I received another email with a gift card for the full amount we had spent. Waited about a month went back and got take out, they forgot my grandsons chicken breast with his meal the carbonara was FULL of bacon fat, my parmesan garlic broccoli was literally cold and raw. Im telling you maybe its just the location. The lady I talked to was so nice and I hate to give another bad review but thats twice its been horrible. I know places have bad days but come on its not a fast food place you do expect a little better!
GREAT SERVICE. Everytime I come here, I have amazing service. In particular, our most recent server, Austin, went above and beyond for our table. Never an empty drink. Never extra dirty plates on the table. So attentive. The food quality isnt the best compared to other Olive Gardens; however. I almost dont care with the amazing service I get.
We went here recently for our daughters birthday. The staff was so nice and our server was top notch. All our food was delicious. They gave my daughter a free dessert and it was outstanding. It was packed but we got on the wait list ahead of time and even though they said it would be a 40-50 min wait, they got us a table within 10 min!!! We were so happy.
My usual complaint in chain restaurants of being rushed. A few bites into my salad and the entree was brought out. My server was excellent, no blame on her for being rushed. Im sure its the corporate bean counters. The food was excellent. Tasted better than some locations
My family has visited Olive Garden several times over the years and it has yet to really impress. Their dishes dont really stand out in flavor and therefore are overpriced for what they are (you do get a lot of food, though...a lot of mediocre food). The staff is attentive and friendly. Wait times to get a table vary. They seem on par for being a large restaurant. You may get in quick with a party of three, you may wait 15 minutes or more. Depends on the time of day and which day. Overall, not a super stand-out in my eyes, but not terrible.
I went for lunch. I got the five cheese baked ziti. It was delicious. I ate the gnocchi soup and a ton of breadsticks. They were also delicious. The staff was super nice and kept the tea glasses filled. Amazing. 10 out of 10. I dont like italian food but I will eat there again.
Our waiter came to our table three times total, once to take our drinks and order, once to bring salad and the last to bring food and never came back. Had to get up to ask for boxes. When I went up to ask the servers working at what I’m guessing was the togo station, they were playing and jumping on one another and the last thing they wanted to do was help me. Only one of the four standing there (one being a manager) was able or willing to locate a togo box for me. This was after waiting 45ish minutes for a table. Being busy is not an excuse for bad service.
This was my first time to eat at Olive Garden for lunch. Their lunch menu had a great variety all very tasty dishes. The serving size was a little larger than I expected for lunch. Love that bottomless salad bowl! We came to celebrate my elderly mothers birthday. They treated her very kindly she was given a free dessert and a group of the waiters sing Happy Birthday to her. It made her feel very special. The service we received was excellent. And our food was very very good.
Our food once we got it was good. Today they gave our food to a table behind us. That table got their food and ours and we had to wait on fresh food to be cooked. We were not offered extra soup or salad while we waited nor were we offered a discount. I also asked for a to go water and never got it from the server. On the way out we asked the guy getting to go orders for the water and he told us no to get the server. My wife loves pasta but I dont see us going back here any time soon.
Our server was Matt. We had a great time. Service was wonderful. Food was perfect for all of us. Everything was served and order just as expected. On time. Hot to eat. Salad wasnt soggy or drenched with dressing. Bread sticks were not their best but in some ways that was good for us because we didnt fill up on bread before entrees came out. Actually everytime we have been to this location everything has always been great. Highly recommend this location.
We usually go for the salad and bread sticks and take our entrees home. On our last trip, we decided to go for lunch on a Saturday. The food was fine even though it took a little longer than we had expected. The service was decent as well, but what we really did not appreciate is the fact that we were forced to pay using the little machine on the table. I had expressed that I did not know how to use it and didnt trust them, but the server insisted on showing me how to use it anyway. If this is the new way to pay at restaurants then we may as well have robots for waiting tables....
We went for the endless stuffed pasta specials. Our server was attentive and thorough. He took notes when we ordered additional plates, which is more impressive than those who attempt to remember everything. He was generous with the grated cheese on every dish, which we all liked. Dessert was cheesecake and tiramisu. Both were good and a nice finish to our meal.
Ever since I started my diet and gym routine, I park nearby at the gym and walk over to the Olive Garden, I love the Salad, Soup and Breadsticks. Staff is always super friendly and courteous, not sure if the soup and Breadsticks are good for a diet, but skinny people eat here too, so it cant be all that bad... Lol ... I would have given 5 stars except, everytime I go , the soda is super flat, I wish I was a water person, but I drink water all day, I like good soda with my meal... The flat soda is not just one type, I have tried several, its all of their soda products, they need a new soda machine or something ... Or a Co2 recharge... (idk how that works) - Other than that, great restaurant, great servers, with a great menu, great food, good prices !
Excellence in wait staff. However, one of our steaks was drastically underdone. This could have been easily forgiven, but the sides made it worse. The pasta sauce for the alfredo was watered down and had little to no flavor. Also, our broccoli was dry.Not to forget, the tables were so close you could touch the shoulder of the person next to you. It was overall a very cramped and unpleasant experience.
Really good food(that you eat, in a bowl), my son once has server who REALLY stuffed his chicken gnocchi soup(in a bowl), and he loves chicken gnocchi soup(in a bowl). Great atmosphere for all people who want to go out to eat with their family(in a booth, with a bowl). Also, great food for all(who like to eat).((written by,my son, in a nutshell)who is really my son, and there are things on the menu that dont have to be a bowl but the helpful and friendly staff will be able to put your food I a bowl if you ask for it).
The service was pretty good. our waiter was nice but the restaurant was crowded for NYE and he was a little stretched out. He was good with the kids and our orders came out correct. the kids servings were a h pod size but I would have liked to see at least twice as many grapes for the sides. there were maybe 8 grapes on each plate. my husbands and my orders were good but the 5 cheese sauce was not as flavorful as last time, almost bland. the sangria was amazing and delicious. this is my second time at this location so Im sure the demerits were just because of NYE dinner crowd. Ill be back.
Been visiting this one for years and were always pleasantly surprised at how well the appearance of the restaurant has stayed, how clean everything always is. It hasnt appeared to age at all. Probably due to good management. Of course their food is wonderful, as well as the atmosphere.
Alright, i confess.... Im a closet Olive Garden fan. Salads are really good, dinners are, for the most part, average to very good. Prices are reasonable. I know they get beat up regularly in reviews but i disagree. Service good, food good, prices good. Still get your moneys worth from them. one of the better Italian chains.
We went to Olive Garden today for lunch and the food was fantastic. Got the stuffed shrimp fettuccine and it is officially my go-to meal. Our waitress was Samantha and I’ve never had better service there. She referred us a watermelon sangria which was also delicious! We will definitely be back soon!
We usually enjoy this location. Today? Not so much! The food was good, but the service was terrible. We had to ask for EVERYTHING...even cheese. Our entrée got cold and dry waiting for our salad, and then we had to ask for cheese and wait and wait. We will go back, but will hope for decent service next time.
Absolutely horrible service.... not just our server who seemed 100% disinterested in us, but the fact we had to wait for the appetizer then our main course is brought out almost immediately after the delayed appetizer.Weve been to this Olive garden often and would love to continue but not if this is the direction your establishment is headed.
The salad and breadsticks were the best part of the meal. We had seafood stuffed mushrooms and calamari for starters, nothing special. The calamari was tiny crumbs with about 3 actual rings. I had the chicken and shrimp carbonara, the chicken was awful but the shrimp were good. I did not take a to go box. Our waitress was exceptional, she was polite and professional and checked in appropriately. 5 stars for the service. 1 star for the food. Not worth the money, in my opinion.
Overall the food is great but our server was very rude! She told my mother she was not allowed to eat salad because it did not come with her entree. Basically I couldnt share my salad with her. Supervisor supported this rude waitress! In the end we did get another serverver whom did an awesome job.
I would like to state that this was the worst experience I have ever had at Olive Garden. We celebrated my daughters 19th birthday, as her choice, here. Reservations were made for 7 p.m. Upon arrival, we checked in. The hostess then started checking and seating other guests. That was o.k. However, she never once came to us to explain what the delay was. We were finally seated around 7:30 p.m. after asking twice what the hold up was. One of the guests ordered sweet tea. She was served unsweetened tea on two occasions. The the server got an attitude. Im not a pasta fan by no means, so I was only eating the salad and bread-sticks. One the food was delivered to the table, it was not appealing. My wife shared her chicken with me, which now I wish she hadnt. The chicken had no flavor. It was as though you were eating cardboard. After speaking with the entire group, the impression was the same all the way around. Not a good meal at all. The salad--I just dont have the words for it. It was as though you had poured water and oil on it. No flavor. Oh, and the waitress came to refill the drinks, but I had to ask her to refill mine as she was walking to the back. Not a good experience at all. Yes, we had a part of 15 but there were other parties that large finishing their meals. That cant be the excuse on this one. Not worth the money that we paid for it.
Was told wait was 45 minutes ended up being an hour at least. People came in after us were seated.only two of us. After asking about it of course no explanation was given. Just a deer caught in the headlights look was all I was given. If you didnt want to serve us , you should have said so and not wasted our time.
Today we went for lunch. I just had to take a sec and mention our waiter Justin! Top notch, hands down one of the best servers I’ve ever had. If ever waiter was as good as Justin the food industry would be so much different! Olive Garden better hang on to him! He is the prime example of how a server should be. Funny, eager to please, very respectful, presentable. I was proud of him. He earned his 30% tip! Will ask for him from now on!
Service was okay, but food was inedible. My fettuccine Alfredo was like tasteless paste, no seasoning at all. Salad was overdressed and my husbands chicken was dry and tough and oversauced. Luckily, we had been given a gift card because I wouldnt have paid for that meal.
It was ok the service could be better , we all ordered the soup and salad , and they only brought 1 salad for 5 people and practically had to beg for more of salad and bread sticks . I order the tour of Italy and it was very bland . Also the waitresses lost someones debit card beside our table 🤔🤔🤔
Honestly I had not been to an Olive Garden in years until this most recent outing and I kind of viewed it as more of a chain but I have to step back to this impression now that I’ve gone there again. I was super impressed with how great everything was! It didn’t taste like it just ‘run of the mill food’ but every person’s entree was absolutely delicious and our server was absolutely fantastic. I’m looking to going back sooner than later.
I was denied a table at this store because someone didnt like my Hodge Twins shirt. Discrimination is real and Im highly offended by this situation Im a long time customer and after waiting a very long time for a table i had to go somewhere else to eat because they didnt like my shirt.
Everything was good except for the fact that they seated us right at the kitchen door when there were at least 10 other large enough tables to seat us at. I needed to get up to go to the ladies room, had to wait for a waiter to go by. As I was coming back I had to wait again.
This was the most horrible experience Ive had at a restaurant! It was our first time coming and the well done steak was burnt on the outside and still rare on the inside. We asked it to be made again and the waitress brought back the same steak.......more burnt this time. It was effin disgusting!
The endless pasta was pretty good in terms of taste. The meatballs were better than expected. However, its pretty silly that I cant get multiple toppings on the same dish without being charged for both of them, when I can get different toppings on subsequent plates that are equal to or cheaper than the first topping I got.The salad also seems to get worse everytime I go (like twice a year to be fair), this time there were like 3 olives and 3 onion slices in once bowl.
I had the best time at Olive Garden because it was my Birthday. Also we had the best server his name is Justin. He is a very cool and funny guy Id say he is my favorite server there. Also Im glad that you enjoyed a piece of my Birthday Cake. And I enjoyed the servers singing yall the best.
Didnt eat here this time. Walked past about a dozen or more people waiting in the lobby. Was told it would be a 15 minute wait for my party of 2. Literally half the restaurant was empty. From the hostess desk, there was not one single occupied table within my view. Four people just standing behind the hostess table looking confused. I took my business across the street to chedders where we were seated immediately, recieved great customer service, great food and a less expensive bill to boot.
Last Friday we visited the Athens location. We arrived about 7 pm. A young Asian guy waited on us in the very back corner. Horrible service. Ordered appetizers and meals. Waiter brought us appetizers and completely forgot our food. Brought us our check and we had to ask for our meal. When he finally brought our meal we were like....what about our salad and bread? He said of yeah I forgot about that too! 😡😡😡
So myself and my girlfriend went to Olive Garden after church today because we both really wanted some pasta. Well our food was great but the service we recieved was less than spectacular. Before I go further I want it to be clear the service was only bad on the part of our waiter, whose name is Preston. Preston repeatedly ignored us, did not bring out the things we asked for and had the audacity to just drop our change on the table, without so much as a have a good day. Olive Garden is pricey and since we pay a good amount we expect good service. The rest of the service team who was picking up his slack was phenomenal and had we been with anyone else I feel it would have been a perfect Sunday meal. However we got Preston. So if you go to the Olive Garden on Atlanta Highway make sure your server isnt Preston. Have a great day!!!
Xavier, our waiter was the nicest part of this dining experience. Olive Garden has fallen a long way since I was younger. They hardly gave us time to eat our appetizer before serving our meal then the (expensive) entrees were mediocre to say the best. Olive Garden, you can do better.
Olive Garden has gone down hill since last I ate here. My sister, son and I had lunch here this week and both of our entrees were just awful. The pasta and sauce tasted like a frozen meal and came with hardly any meat on it. For a $12 lunch entree I would expect a fair portion of meat!! Our food took forever to come out, so long that we asked for to go boxes right when the food came because my toddler had been sitting for so long he was so ready to go. The waiter tried to up sell us multiple times, including trying to get my sister to order some cocktail special they had (shes pregnant! And it was noon!). Lastly, they have you pay on a tablet now, and after they run your card they hand the tablet to you so that you can add a tip. Our waiter was pushy and had already slid the arrow to the 20% mark! Guess he assumed Id leave him that much, nope, I slid the arrow down to 15% and I wont be dining here again!
I ordered the Asiago Tortelloni Alfredo with Grilled Chicken, and my friend ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo. We both got the salad as the side. The salads are always delicious as well as the bread sticks. My Asiago Tortelloni Alfredo with Grilled Chicken was tasty, and I recommend it. Both portions were generous, and we both took home about half of our entrée. The service provided just enough touches. We stopped after a Saturday Georgia football game and waited about 10 minutes to be seated. During our meal several tables were empty; however, there were still people waiting on a table – they must have been short staffed.
I called to ask a simple question about something they sometimes have on there menu and to get snapped at and cursed at is unacceptable I have eaten at this olive garden several times and never once have I be treated that disrespectful I am not willing to do business with a place that treats customers that way. I will drive an hour out of my way next time do business with a different olive garden if thats how you treat people at the at highway location
Normally had great experience with Olive Garden so was surprised to find that this restaurant wasnt very good at all.The pros: Our server was superb, salad was fresh. The cons: Bread was not fresh, our meal must have set under heat lamps (?) too long because pasta was hardened too the point of being brittle. My chicken parmesan was over cooked, again being under a heat source too long.I never give bad reviews and will give Olive Garden another chance because all other times it has been very good.,but will not visit this OG in the future.Sorry guys for bad review.Jim and Freda
Im giving one star because it isnt what it use to be.. Food wasnt all that Alfredo sauce was watery.. Anyways wasnt what I ordered....Tonight I was served what my husband ordered... Also was asked if I would like to-go drinks, sure why not.. Nope didnt get those or the food I no longer was interested in until I was ready to go. Sure wish I had that to go drink that I was asked if I wanted!!! POOR WAIT STAFF!!!! Food was bland, breadsticks kinda hard.. Only thing good was tea and salad....

2022-04-03Mom and I ate here for lunch at 12pm. We were seated immediately. Our waiter was timely and polite. The food was good but I wish Olive Garden would go back to placing beets in the salad. I loved it that B our waiter gave me two pieces of chocolate after paying.

2022-04-26I always experience good meals here. The people are nice but service time could definitely improve. The create my own pasta is my favorite part of the menu. Im a spaghetti lover. Making it different ways is why I come here.

2022-07-07In reading the reviews, it seems this Olive Garden is dropping the ball on their to-go orders. And unfortunately, today is no different... some coworkers and I decided we would love to have some good salad and pasta, soooo, of course our minds go directly to the Olive Garden down the street. Our salad was brown and even gooey in spots. Our pasta was dry and served in child sized containers. When we called to speak to the manager on duty, he seemed unconcerned and even stated he personally checked our order and everything was fine. Not sure what garbage can he eats out of, but we didnt intend to pay $20 per lunch meal for trash.

2022-02-19The food was out of this world. We have not been here in at least 5 years. But the wine was fantastic, even brought a bottle home.

2022-02-17Me and a couple girls from work order lunch to go, our pasta was great but the salad we received was old, very soggy brown and mushy. Sucks because the the salad is what everyone was looking forward too.

2022-05-15Wow! what an incredible experience!!! I never knew how great a time could be before today. The best of times!!!!! The food? Incredible, authentic, voluptuous, enriching. The atmosphere?? took me back to the good old days in the mother land.. The service??? Have you seen a nicer looking waitress? Bc I know I sure havent! Grateful for our waitress Sara (pictured below) for giving me that joy I havent had since I lost my first wife. Truly spectacular, will be back.

2022-01-21My husband and I went to this olive garden, our best experience at one yet. The manager (I think his name was Adam) was absolutely spectacular. He came by our table multiple times to make sure our experience was awesome. We will definitely come back on our next trip through Athens. Keep up the good work guys!

2021-09-05This location is OPEN and has patio seating! The patio tables have umbrellas and heaters. They do require masks when not eating and drinking. The food was just what you would expect from Olive Garden, served fresh and hot. Ian was our server and did a fantastic job taking care of us even though we were outside. He was very attentive, our glasses were never empty and our additional needs during the meal were taken care of promptly.I highly recommend this Olive Garden if you are in the Athens are.
