Orangetheory Fitness in other cities:
If you haven’t worked out in awhile and want to get motivated, go to this Orangetheory location. All the trainers are great. Keep in mind you only get free rental of armbands 2x, after that they charge. Buying one is better option if in it for long-haul, but you aren’t even required to wear one, so no worries. With body weight and free weight exercises it’s very important to have proper form. My only issue is the trainers really don’t have time to tweak everyone’s form who aren’t doing the exercises properly. Other than that, this truly is a great way to jump start the routine of working out. I think the best deal is being able to work out there four or more times/week. That’s expensive, but if that’s what gets you working out regularly, might be worth it. I got two Maybem workouts in and they were my favorite. Killer, but that’s what I like!
I love that there is variety throughout the workout. The trainers really keep you on track and make sure youre doing everything correctly. The equipment is nice (thank god for the fan on the treadmill), nothing smells like sweat, and the music choices are A+. Honestly, it was a pretty perfect experience. I will be getting a membership.
The perfect workout for someone that doesnt like to workout. Love that fact that workouts never get old, the trainers keep me motivated, and the facilities are excellent. Ive never been able to maintain a workout regiment longer than 3 months. Im over a year into my OTF membership and have no plans to stop.
Cumberland is my home studio and I absolutely love this place. Ive been on the fence for YEARS about joining OTF and I regret not having joined years ago. Membership is pricey, but youre investing in yourself and your health and its 100% worth it. Wish I had joined long ago!
I love the trainers here and the general workout for OTF. Ive been going in the mornings at the Cumberland location as I recently moved - not sure who the front desk associates are, but I have had nothing but a poor experience with one of the girls there (short hair, seems to be some sort of lead). Shes not a friendly person and I am not sure why they have someone in this position to speak and check in customers that doesnt know how to be pleasant and helpful!!!! What a disappointment as this is a location close to my office and home. The Powder Springs location is AMAZING. Please take notes from this team. Ill go to other locations from now on and stay away from Cumberland.
Orange Theory classes are intense and very fun. My aerobic performance went from about a 9 minute mile to a 5:25 in six months and I felt better at that pace than I did jogging along day one. The strength training hits all of the major groups and the instructor gives demos before each block to prevent injuries and maximize results.
I joined Orange Theory Fitness (OTF) almost a year ago in Orlando, Florida. I was out of shape and my wedding was quickly approaching, I have always been active but started feeling less motivated and lost at the gym. I quickly became OBSESSED with OTF. I loved the coaches, the fact that the work out was different each day, the energy, the environment and more importantly the fact that this program held me accountable. As life would have it with its twists and turns I have since gotten married and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia! Recognizing that I achieved my goal, and highly motivated by the environment I set out to find the nearest OTF. Enter Wud and his staff at the Windy Hill location. He was went above and beyond to try to make me feel right at home. I had some minor issues with my transfer and my heart monitor band but Wud assured me to work out as he took care of it and he did! I would recommend this gym to anyone in the area! You will have everything you need here. Stop making excuses and get to OTF!
Love this place! They truly change your lifestyle with a no excuse accountability that other gyms just don’t offer. I needed help getting back into chape after many injuries from other companies and style of workout. Orange Theory is safe and effective in helping you achieve your goals.
I have been a member at Orangetheory Cumberland for about a year and half and I can’t say enough good things about this location. Ever since I started, the manager and team members have made me feel at home with their OTF family. The facility is always clean and equipment is updated frequently. I love the atmosphere at Cumberland as well, they do a great job with creating a sense of community. If anyone is traveling or looking to join an OTF in Atlanta, I highly recommend ‘The Land’ .
I love love love this location. When I first began it was good however, the staff wasn’t motivating. I stopped going and decided to join again with my manager Justin. Tavon, Randy and DJ definitely motivates me and make me feel like we’re a family. I was late for my 6:15am class and when I walked in Tavon and the crew yelled Cheka you made it and they were excited to see me!!!! Wow talk about motivation! This team is Awesome and I look forward to rocking this Transformation Challenge!!!!!!
As my family ages, I see the elders experiencing health issues that are 100% preventable. My goal is to be healthy and Orange Theory helps me with that goal. The staff and coaches are top notch. The environment is all about assisting everyone with improved fitness regardless of your current fitness level. All you have to do is show up, work hard, and OTF Cumberland will guide you to your fitness goals. In addition to fitness, they also strive to help the community via specific monthly group hashtag initiatives. Last month the goal was autism awareness. This month the focus is to support the building of schools for children in developing nations. Orange Theory Fitness Cumberland provides wonderful workouts on a daily basis. Love it, love it, love it😁
I love a bootcamp type class, but the reason Orangetheory works so well is the continuous feedback of what zone you are working out in. So many of us (think slow walking treadmill folks at a regular gym) are not hitting the cardiovascular conditions to either lose weight or improve fitness - you dont have that problem here. Highly recommend you do the free trial class - if its for you, youll know immediately. I go to Cumberland location on Windy Hill.
Went for my first ever Orangetheory class this morning. They asked me to arrive 30 minutes early but I was stuck in traffic (thanks Suntrust Park construction) and arrived 15 minutes prior to the class. The receptionists told me that I was too late and could not take the class that I had signed up for because I had to get the full intro. I am amazed by the rigid nature of this gym and that they couldnt work with me to get me into the class and then show me around after. I will not be returning to this gym.
I am a member of OTF in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I was passing through Atlanta en route to see family for Thanksgiving and I was excited to find this studio so close to my hotel. The front desk and the coach (Joshua) were very gracious and made me feel right at home. I really love the OTF culture and appreciated the ease and convenience of being able to drop into a class at this studio. Thanks yall!! Ill come back for another class if we stop in Atlanta on the way home.
I stopped in one day about 2 or 3 months ago since I was over a Schlotzskys in the development to find out more about this gym. I spoke with the boy who had been behind the desk who I immediately noticed was very dry and out of it, looked like he had just woke up or did not want to be there. Not a big deal just wasnt expecting that when i came in, he gave me some information, I didnt see the gym.. i was able to glance over and see some equipment through the glass. I asked how much were the memberships and he said I could take a class first in order to find out, and asked me to sign my name along with my email to take a class. However, I wasnt interested, I first wanted the pricing to know if it was something Id even plan on doing whether I enjoyed the class or not.Fast forward to last week. I called and spoke with the receptionist who accidentally hung up on me when I asked about the pricing. When I called back she said I would have to take a class to get the pricing! Im not sure why its so top secret to find out how much of my money would be putting into this if in fact Im interested in moving forward. Its pretty sad that this had to be the reason I will not be coming by for any class. If you dont want my money, dont worry... you will not get it! Just by my minimal experiences I dont think I would be a happy customer anyways so Thank you for making my decision so easy!
First - Let me start by saying OTF is AMAZING....but unfortunately, this location is LACKING SEVERELY. The best thing about OTF is that you can attend all of locations, which really worked with Atlanta traffic and my busy schedule.Fortunately for me, that is how I was able to discover that other locations are MUCH BETTER than the Windy Hill studio. Not only are other facilities nicer and cleanlier, the other studios instructors & front desk staff are A LOT more pleasant too! (ie. East Cobb & Sandy Springs!).Ultimately, Ive decided to cancel my membership because of the poor customer service at Windy Hill OTF. (side note: I definitely will be re-joining at another location because OTF does provide awesome results!)Specifically, this is the straw that broke the camels back:We all know how horrible ATL traffic is. Right? Right! -- I know this all too well and on a particular day, I left work early in order to attend a 5:30 class (the last class of the night). Unfortunately, there was an accident that caused my GPS to alert me of a delay in my arrival time (9 minutes to be exact). I proceeded to call the studio to inform them that I would be 10 minutes late and ASKED if I would still be ALLOWED to join the class. I spoke with Logan (the UN-enthused gentleman that you will likely meet if you dont heed my advice). He stated yes 10 or like 11 minutes should be fine. An answer which seemed quite ambiguous yet totally understanding of the current bumper to bumper situation I suddenly found myself in. Wouldnt you agree?I raced (of what i could) to get there and I arrive (by my cell phones standard time clock) 13/14 minutes late! (3 minutes later than what we discussed on the phone!!) I was told that I could NOT enter the class because I was too late. Fine. I get the rules. But I was livid and here is why:1st- OTF is $170 a month. (We will just leave that right there).2nd - I called to ASK PERMISSION into the class, 45 minutes BEFORE arriving! If there was an absolute hard stop - this SHOULD have been CLEARLY reiterated on my initial call. Logans un-bothered un-enthused ambiguous response of like um 11 minutes would be okay is not a clear definite answer of you better get here by 10 minutes or we wont be ALLOWED by company rules & standards to let you in.3rd - We all know there are rules that must be enforced. I get that. However, the issue still stands that A. the staff was rude when I arrived - they just said no we cant let you in and looked at me with blank stares. B.They attempted to argue with me when I informed him of his error. - To which they then tried to defend and explain all the reason why only after I showed them how angry I was & that I was cancelling my membership. (Again, Poor Communication) C. AGAIN - It should have clearly communicated that the time cut off was completely out of their control and Logan should NOT have responded in a manner that reflected yeah itll be fine we will let you in kind of tone as if he was actually in control of that! Not only could this problem have been fixed through clear communication but I could have just went to another studio & actually got my workout in AND I would still be a customer at this location. (all though the other studios are better!)So, do yourself a favor and avoid having your own customer service issue at Windy Hill OTF. Join another location where the front desk staff & instructors have kinder attitudes, are more friendly and actually ACT like they enjoy their jobs!(P.S. The studio will likely respond to this post with a we are just enforcing company policy, its for your safety and the safety of others you were actually 20 minutes late read your rules, you signed an agreement you could have attended another class & whatever BULL - but none of that matters because I did all of the above and the issue still stands that you really need to clean up your staff and facility if you want to match up against the others!)

2022-04-21Today was truly challenging. JJ is the head coach and I have never taken a class with him, however I will certainly be taking more with him. He is excellent at what he does.

2018-07-18My new second home! Love The Land, mostly for the staff... They are extremely friendly, take time to learn your name and make you feel like they are genuinely happy to see you each visit. I also appreciate how even the folks at the front desk are vested in and show interest in your workout and progress. They make an excellent first, and lasting, impression.Class is fun, engaging and even though there are only 3 circuits, your workout is different every. single. time. Its exactly what I need to stay motivated. My favorite Coach is Randy, he plays the best music #TrapHouseWorkout :)

2018-06-28I love how every workout is different at OTF and incorporates strength, power, and endurance throughout the week. Every trainer brings a different way of coaching and motivating which is refreshing. The atmosphere is very accepting and fun! I never thought I would enjoy group fitness classes, but I was definitely proved wrong!

2019-01-20I can’t say enough positive things about this studio. The staff is extremely personable welcoming the members by name and taking a personal investment into their fitness goals. Winter, Wud, Zach, and Randy are truly some of the best staff members/trainers I have encountered in a gym, they manage to turn a large scale gym into a small scale feel. These workouts are you vs you and orange theory Cumberland will definitely advance you towards your goals.

2016-09-10DJ is great! Buckhead was my favorite studio since I find the coaches there to have a little more intensity and energy but after today, DJ proved me wrong. His music and energy made the workout so much fun and motivated the entire class to push to their limit. What a great asset to this studio! The front desk staff is always welcoming and personable. I highly recommend this workout and this studio. There really is no better workout that you can get in an hour!

2020-12-23I love this place. The coaches are great. It’s clean. They follow all of the COVID protocols, so I feel safe exercising there. You can usually get in to the class you want without booking it out far in advance.

2015-10-13I love OTF! The workout is intense, but fun. The trainers are so helpful and nice. Class is a challenge, but structured so you can work at your own fitness level. The staff and trainers are encouraging. No one is going to yell at you here. This location seems to be a little bigger (in floor space) than some of the other locations, and the extra room is nice in the weights area. (Theres also a screen for heart rates in the weight room area, which I really appreciate.)The only downside is that classes book up fast. This gym hasnt even been open a month, and most of the evening classes are full at least a few days out. Ive learned to try to book my classes a few weeks out (I was a member at another location before), but know that if you have a schedule that is unpredictable, OTF may not work. They also have a 12 hour cancellation policy. However, Ive had things come up last minute a couple of times, and they were happy to let me out of the class within that 12 hour window without charging me. Overall, the staff wants you to have a good experience.
