The canned and packaged productd are good, but the fresh groceries look a little old. Much of it is higher priced when compared to other markets.Overheard one of the lady cashiers mocking my race, so that kinda sucked. The others were very nice.I wont say I wont be back, but it wont be at the top of my list of places to come back to.
I love the atmosphere of this store and Im at peace every time I go. The layout is simple and I suggest that you start from the right and work your way to the frozen section on the left. Youll see all kinds of deliciousness and the tools with which to make said deliciousness. Dont be mad about what youll end up spending. Just know that its worth it.Also, Id be remiss if I failed to mention the staff: THEY ARE DELIGHTFUL AND ADD TO THE EXPERIENCE.
Besides of their overpriced products, especially the rice, $72 for 50 lbs rice, Seriously? The owners are rude. They cannot even greet their customers with a good morning, a welcome, a good day or a thank you. When you call to ask questions such as locations and opening hours, they will answer you as they dislike you to call. When I asked for product information in their store, it seems like the male owner was not in the mood for a little q&a, mind you I was the only customer at that time. They will only talk to certain individuals, to someone they probably know or the same race.Worst customer service ever.I miss the previous owner, theyre really helpful.I would rather go to Asian Store in Opelika for quick Asian grocery shopping.
I love shopping at Oriental/ethnic markets. And I also enjoy cooking the food. This was my first time at this store. The Customer service is Horrible! They do not greet u at the door. The cashier (I guess owner) showed no type of expression. He didnt even say nothing once I got to the register. He rudely packed my groceries and didnt say a word. When it was time to punch in my pin number for my debit card, he just threw the card machine down on the belt. Once he rudely gave me my receipt for my purchases, I said thank you. After spending $56 in that store, they will never get my business again. Whoever you are, u have a very nasty attitude, poor demeanor and horrible customer service skills. With this type of attitude you will push away good business.
We were previously going to S Mart for our Asian food needs. S Mart terrible! We knew we needed to find a better option and discovered Oriental Food and Gift. We will now ONLY ever shop here!! This place is so clean and smells fresh! Their products are great quality and a perfect price! The owner was so sweet and helpful! I can tell they work tirelessly to make sure they run a great business!
The first person I interacted with was rude, twice. I had just seen him carry on a friendly conversation with 2 other (wyte) patrons before I talked to him. When I asked him questions he had a sharp tone, was impatient, gave no eye contact, & proceeded to talk at me and not to me. When he showed me he didnt want to deal with me. I left. Ill go to another Oriental store in town or just drive to Atlanta. Im not spending money at an establishment with mediocre goods and subpar customer service.
A very well stocked and knowledgeable store. Even if you dont know or only partially know about asian food and culture; the owners are there to help you. Fresh food section is better than some supermarkets. Though its asian centric, they have some items you cant get at other stores. IE...fresh bean sprouts. Very extensive selection of freshly made kimchi. Highly recommend, for the novice and the well versed.
Amazing store for Korean food! Our family lived in Korea for 2 years and we loved it, the culture, the food, the people. This store brings a bit of that to the US. The food is amazing, the prices are good, and the staff is very friendly. We just discovered this store, and will make it part of our shopping routine. The kimchi is awesome and there is a really good selection of it. You can buy it in small packs up to larger buckets.
We were there earlier today. I got my 13 year old daughter a cookbook based on dishes featured in various anime. The gentleman there helped me find many of the ingredients I wasnt able to find else where like enoki mushrooms, light color soy sauce and kombu...they did not have Mizuno leaves but, our dinner was still delicious. Thank you for helping me to make a great memory with my daughter as we made the Nabe together. I know exactly what ill be having for lunch tomorrow
Wonderful shopping experience found everything I needed to complete my grilled pork with rice noodle salad. A recipe I got from a friend. So many noodles of every kind. They have delicious kimchee and assorted sweets. Take your own shopping bag ..or you will pay a bag fee.
Wonderful Asian Speciality store. So many items, and various popular brands. Many Asian cuisines: Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, and I even think I saw a few Hispanic items! So many spices....so many noodles.... Dont skip the lower half of the store where fresh items as well as tons of frozen foods can be found. Of course theres a selection of specialty serving ware. Its all here, in a tidy store packed with goodies. Worth the trip.
Nice selection of grocery items, although, hard to navigate for a first time visiter. Gluten free flours in 5 lb bags are so hard to find - and not only do they carry them, they are reasonably priced. However, they did not carry Korean rice syrup and a few other things I stock in my kitchen. I enjoyed my visit and will definitely drive the 2 hours to visit again!
I absolutely love this place!! The staff is wonderful and whatever I purchase is lovely. The prices are definitely worth the excellent quality of their products. I strongly would recommend going there often. It is like a home away from home. I cant wait to go back again!
Very rude man in charge of the store! He never smiles and treats customers like he was doing them a favor by being there. The last time we were there his Wife told us she would have a 2020 Calendar for us during our next visit. So when we were ready to checkout my wife simply made a statement that he owed us a Calendar. He gave her a very dirty look and stated you have to see my wife. My wife stated with your attitude we dont need anything and we will never return! P.s. we did offer to put everything back on the shelves but one of his employees said he would put them back.
One of the friendliest small markets in town! With such a wide selection of fresh Asian produce at very reasonable prices, you can save your trips to Atlanta and shop locally! The products are organized in such a way, you can find what you need with ease, and the staff is always very polite and on standby if you need anything.
EVERYTHING youre looking for, they have it! I called before I headed out, because its a relatively long drive for us to get there, and I didnt believe the owner when he said he had everything. He wasnt kidding. From the outside and online, the store does not look big enough to carry everything they do, but trust me, they have everything, including a decent-sized fresh produce section. I have never been so excited to discover a store! Their bulk items, like rice and noodles are even cheaper than Walmart. Forget grocery shopping anywhere else. This is the place to go!
There is not much I can say to Express the quality of goods, foods, and the customer service of this place other then the fact that it is amazing. Everything from the experience of walking in and finding everything I need to finding the things I havent had since I was a child. I would highly recommend anyone looking for an asian market to make this their first stop. The seafood selection is humongous and the vegetables are super fresh. The freezer isle has everything you could think of even taro ice cream! Heck they even have live lobster and a built in restaurant!
The better of the Asian markets in town considering Atlanta is 1 1/2 hours away. The selection is limited because of that but they definitely have the basics, including some live seafood, and they keep the store clean. NOTE: BEGINNING 2/1/20, THEY CHARGE $.10/PER BAG IF YOU DO NOT BRING YOUR OWN.
Always have what I need or want when I go here:)until I discussed car talk with another customer..after that for some reason I was treated coldly. One day I saw that the customers in front of me were offered a calendar for 2020.. He didnt even offer me one at all .. wish Kap would have kept his store .. I am part Korean but the new people are not friendly ... will not go there anymore... I can see and heard from other korean friends that Atlanta is best
Awesome.e very sweet and kind hearted family oriented store the always have what I need they are very good people I have been shopping here on and off(seeing that I am from atlanta) since 2007 I wish they still kept the mok fish in the freezer section like they use to and all the other mok items that can be found in the oriental markets in atlanta.Overall great establishment home the stay open for generations to come.
The best Asian store in Columbus. Not as large as stores in ATL or Auburn, but still has a great selection of foods and products. Great produce section as well. Recently opened a Pho restaurant thats open Fri-Sun. I always enjoy shopping here and the staff is very sweet and helpful.
This is like the dream place to go where you can see different foods and products from a different place the people there are great they help you out a lot they can explain what some of the foods are if you do not know anything about Vietnamese products and so on they have been here for years serving the Columbus Georgia area I give them 5 Stars if I could give them 10 I would

2021-06-21Great place for all thing Asian! This is a new location across from Q Korean Steakhouse. I love that their location is much closer to where I do most of my shopping. Very friendly owner and staff. Great selection of canned and dried Asian ingredients that are hard to find in American grocery stores. They also sell asian cooking utensils and home goods like blankets. Small selection of fruit and asian vegetables. They have 3 aisles of frozen goods, like frozen squids and fish. Even have a lobster tank. No fishy smell. Will be coming back.

2021-12-05Lots of great items at this market. Love the pried side dishes. I will say that the times for business may be off...I went on a Saturday and they rushed me out at 6:00 and refused another customer who was trying to come in when I was leaving. So hours for Saturday are not as listed...stating that they are open till 7:00...I mentioned it to one of the guys at the register and he said something about daylight savings...but daylight savings was over a month prior to my visit. I don’t know what the deal was.

2021-11-21Had a lot of goods, pretty much anything you can ask for . I purchased a couple of frozen goods that tasted really nice. The customer service could be way better. I walked in and wasn’t greeted and when time to check out, nobody said a word throughout the entire exchange. Although I enjoyed the huge selection of items , The bad customer service makes me hesitant to come back.

2021-09-13It was very large the aisles were a bit crowded but otherwise they had everything I needed everything I wanted I just wish they had more candy and snacks, but otherwise everything was pretty full I spent about $200 on what I call basic necessities.I got someTteok-bokki rice cakesRice noodles, japchea noodles, quail eggs, steam buns, soup dumplings, kimchi, the cucumber kimchi is really really good, some instant noodles I wish they had more of a variety besides the packet ones, I got a ice cream bar but I also live like a hour & half away... Not a whole lot of produce but they did have it I wish they would have more dairy but they have a large large variety I shop there again
