Hands down the best customer service in town, regardless of what you’re shopping for. Justin knows everything anyone would want to know about fly fishing. His expertise alone is the reason to shop here. You will not find better quality in gear anywhere else. Six stars if possible.
Justin Powell was a life saver!! He was very knowledgeable and helped find the right wader for an upcoming trip. His customer service was outstanding and I look forward to dealing with him in the future.

The team at orvis continues to impress. they are friendly and kind and have tons of great toys from dress shirts for men to toys for the dog to wonderful gear for men and women who like to fish. Also have a ton of great clothing. If youre looking for something amazing this is the place to stop.
The quality of the clothes is excellent and the customer service is excellent. If your size isnt available or you saw something in the catalog that isnt in the store, they can order it for you and have it sent to your address for free. They can also tell you the exact measurements of the clothes.
Have had good experiences here in the past which is why I dont think they deserve less than three stars.I brought in a reel for repair or replacement. It had been used 5 times before the seat cracked. The fishing manager told me the only option was to ship it to Orvis HQ where they would MAYBE be able to fix or replace- but probably not as my reel has been discontinued. The cost to ship and have it looked at would be almost as much as the reel itself. Seemed like I was inconveniencing him greatly. I think he didnt want to go through the work of shipping it or taking a replacement out of his inventory. Orvis whole schtick is that customers always receive 100% satisfaction. Thats part of why you buy from them. This was clearly a faulty product that had cracked from minimal use but they seemed unwilling to help me and unable to provide correct information on the repair process.Called Orvis HQ and they told me everything he told me was mistaken. They were quick to help and give reasonable options- the Orvis I know. Had I not called, I think I would have left very dissatisfied with the brand. Luckily they saved the day. To be noted, I never threatened them or asked for special service- they just did the right thing the first time.Moral is, Orvis is great and quick to help as a company but be careful which location you go to.
The staff was awesome helped from the time I entered till checkout even showed a cool feature of a cup that I bought my daughter. Guys just going the extra mile!!
First time being to this store. I was expecting it to be nothing like the main store in Manchester VT but I was wrong. The store was pretty big and had all sorts of goodies I wanted to get.Friendly staff and dog friendly. The employee was sure to let us know that they were dog friendly and that next time we are in to bring our dog. Awesome!
Not very familiar with Orvis before this visit, but they seemed the only ones in Atlanta that had a good selection of Barbour jackets in stock. Very knowledgable staff. Very helpful in placing an order as they didnt have my size in stock and it was delivered in two days. Despite being in traffic congested Buckhead, it was easy to get there and they have plenty of parking.
Anne and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly! They were very knowledgeable and were able to find exactly what I needed and offered me a plethora of other options to chose from. Overall a great experience
5 stars, Orvis! You guys will have my business for life. Thank you for replacing a delivered, (yet missing/stolen), item ~ free of charge and with overnight delivery. Youre ability to get me a quick replacement made my husband very happy on his birthday!
I highly recommend their Fly Fishing 101 class if youre looking to understand more about the sport. Justin and Bob know their stuff. They covered everything you need to know to get out on the water and fish. These guys made the class fun and easy.

Premier outfiiter for outdoorsmen and women, especially fly fishing anglers. They have tackle, flies, clothing, accessories and equipment for fishing fresh and salt water as well as some hunter gear and apparel. Orvis is a wonderful place, but it is and expensive experience so be prepared to spend heavily.
Most people are very knowledgeable. Orvis has great fly fishing stuff and good waders.

2021-12-16The staff over at Orvis Atlanta cant be beat. I sparingly write reviews unless a place truly warrants one and this place certainly does. The service is above and beyond. They ask what youre looking for and genuinely look to see if they have it in the back if they dont have it on the floor. Not only that, Orvis being a dog friendly store, I love taking my bluetick named Beau here because they always have a treat or something for the little guy on hand. If Beau could write review Im sure it would be a 6/5 stars haha. Anyways, great store, great quality products, and a great staff. You cant go wrong! Oh and if youre into fishing there is always good conversation to be found here!

2021-06-27The Atlanta Buckhead store is the best Orvis store Ive ever been in! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to interact with. Wesley is especially helpful. I live 2 hours away and do not get to visit often, but he always remembers me when I walk in. Yesterday he was very helpful with an exchange I needed to make. I am a customer for life!

2020-12-17Shopping at this Orvis was without a doubt the best retail experience Ive had in Atlanta in the three years since I moved here. There was a gentleman opening the door for customers, thanking us for visiting. While I was shopping, employee Bill offered his help and opinion while still giving respectful space. Leigh at the chekout counter folded my items with the utmost care and profusely thanked me for my business, which is a rare and cherished response from retailers these days. Truly, I cant say enough about how professional and service-oriented the staff is. I walked out of the store absolutely beaming, thrilled to have found exactly what I wanted and feeling appreciated.

2021-02-27My experience with making an exchange at Orvis on Peachtree is by far the most amazing experience I’ve had at any retail store in Atlanta and all the credit for that goes to Justin Powell. He took care of me from start to finish and all the way throughout arranging my exchange of the Carry it All Bag. I was the one who made the mistake and that didn’t matter one bit. He was kind, genuine and incredibly helpful. I will shop at this Orvis location for all of my fishing/outerwear needs. Thanks Justin!!

2021-05-02I went to get advice for fishing locally for the first time. Friendly, knowledgeable staff spent their time showing me and getting me the right great. I bought a pre-built case of flies for the Chattahoochee and they tossed in two for free.

2021-03-08Ive been a loyal Orvis customer for over 20 years, and disappointed doesnt begin to describe my last experience at the Orvis Atlanta shop. As usual, I came in with some money to spend and some questions to ask. Josh, the store manager, could not have been less helpful. He was bothered, and annoyed by my questions, and didnt even take the time to look up from what he was doing to make eye contact. Whats worse, was how he treated his fellow employees in front of customers! I can only imagine what happens if the shop is empty. I would give 0 stars if I could.

2018-10-19This store, and the employees that work here, are first class. I am very, very new to the sport of fly fishing. My Dad was an avid fisherman and after his passing, I decided to try my hand at it in hopes to help carry on memories of my Dad. I had a rough start, though. The rod I inherited from my Father, unfortunately, broke before I could get out on the water. I took in the rod and the amazing staff at Orvis Atlanta took great care of me. They got my rod replaced and helped me select the accessories I needed for my first time on the water. Additionally, they told me I could call them for any reason from the river if there was anything that I needed or if I had any questions.Fly fishing is difficult and expensive but the guys at Orvis are patient, courteous and are willing to help in anyway they can. Im excited to learn more and get better at the sport over time. Thanks, gentlemen - you guys are great and I appreciate everything.
