Outback Steakhouse in other cities:
The food is good and the waitress was nice and did okay, however this visit was not good. It is Mothers Day and it was very busy, so I can understand why we had to wait an hour and a half to be seated. We occupied our time well during the wait. After being seated we ordered our drinks and an appetizer which is what I think held us over for the long wait for our entrees. We talked and laughed for some time over the appetizer and it was not until the last hour or so that we notice how long its been and there are people that were seated well after us receiving their food. It took 2 hrs to get our food and they still left off some our sides and had to wait for that. We got to-go plates for our food and still left the waitress an OK tip and kept positive energy on this Mothers day. I hope this is not typical of this restaurant.
After a 45 minute wait time, I ordered a porterhouse steak well done, with broccoli and a sweet potato. The sweet potato was overcooked and my steak was loaded with fat!!! This is not the 1st time my porterhouse steak missed the mark! The broccoli was also overcooked . Overall it was edible. 😱 BTW, our waiter, Derrick F., provided excellent customer service!!! 😀👍
We were visiting from out of town and miss having an outback near by. Zaria is by far one of the best servers I’ve ever had. She made my night out with my son even better. She anticipated our needs and didn’t miss a beat. The food was delicious like I remember. Thank you Zaria for a great experience. Outback should have Zaria train servers on how to be their best.
A family member took me here for lunch to celebrate my sobriety. I have never eaten at Outback & wasnt impressed with the filthiness & the a over all service of the on duty staff working the floor area we was seated in once the issues was brought to their attention. I am go green friendly. Yet, I will forever choose plastic utensils, paper napkins, a to go cup, & put my food in a to go box, please! As one can always tell how clean a restaurant is by the thickness of the layer of dust on the light hanging over the table/booth & cloth napkins that dont get cleaned in house.
I don’t know HOW this Outback location has 4 stars. I would have given them zero stars, but 1 is the lowest it allows. The hostess who didn’t even try to act cordial took us to our table with barely a grunt & didn’t give us a kids menu for our 6yr old. Our server seemed like he didn’t want to serve us from the moment he came to our table and didn’t even try to hide the fact that he was just ready to go home. It took him a while to even get to our table for drinks. Once we ordered our drinks he rushed off without asking if we’d like an appetizer so we asked for a bloomin’ onion when we ordered our food. The appetizer DID actually come out before the meal, but 70% of it was still raw onion so you couldn’t pull the pieces off (which made it a jumbled mess) & there was still flour (actual powder) inside the onion that would just spill out! It was DISGUSTING! We couldn’t even it! The waiter forgot soup & salad sides as well as the au jus, honey mustard, horseradish sauce, etc. which are included on the menu item descriptions for some of our orders. He never even offered my daughter mustard or ketchup for her cheeseburger or any of our fries and hardly came back to the table to check on us. Oh, and my chicken fingers were dry & hard. The bill for $84+ was brought to our table just moments after we got our food! We WILL NEVER be eating here again! DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY! If I’m gonna spend $100 on a meal again, it won’t be somewhere with $h!#y service & $h!#y food!
Had lunch at Outback and my server Kathy was exceptional. Her amazing personality and beautiful smile made our meal so much more enjoyable. She made awesome appetizer and entree recommendations that did not disappoint. We never had to ask for anything - she was always there to check-in on us. Thanks for making our meal awesome Kathy!
We came into town pretty late and showed up about half an hour before closing time but they were still eilling to service us and were very nice about it which Im grateful for since we had kids who had been on the road for several hours. The steaks were cooked perfectly and our waitress was super sweet and was amazing at interacting with the kids. Shes a keeper for for!
Service slow. Lots of problems with other customers too. Steak was FATTY AND BLAND was not good at all. Got our food but no silver wear for 10min had to ask another waiter. Bake potato goodish. Very disappointed. Bad birthday dinner. LONGHORNS IN GROVETOWN WAYYYYYY better. WILL not be ordering or eating here again. Pic of steak thats left is 80% fat. Thin steak, plate thicker than steak. FAT NO ON STEAK. BLAH........Adding to this list. Took 20mins to get table clear so we can have desert. BUT meal so bad we are skipping it. Asked for manager still waiting .....waiting.....waiting....after leaving here I am going to wendys to get a hamburger because Im not full.UPDATE: MANGER CAME OVER AND UNDERSTOOD AND I EXPLAINED OTHERS HAD SAME ISSUE. SHE IS PAYING FOR MY STEAK . I TOLD HER I DONT WANT ANYTHING FREE SHE SAID SHE WILL PAY FOR STEAK EVEN TOLD HER I WOULD PAY HALF. SHE SAID NO. THIS WAS EMBARRASSING TO ME BECAUSE I DONT WANT THEM TO THINK I WANT SOMETHING FREE.UPDATE: 8/21/21WE WERE INVITED BACK TO OUTBACK BY THE OWNER ON THINGS WOULD CHANGE. DROVE INTO PARKING LOT WALKING UP TO THE DOOR. AN ANGRY COUPLE CAME AND WE GOT INTO CONVERSATION. THERE FOOD WAS HORRIBLE RUDE STAFF COLD MEAL FOR ONE. DRINKS BAD. SAID PLACE SMELLED OF SOUR BEER. WAITRESS HAIR BRUSHED HIS FOOD ON THE PLATE BECAUSE IT WAS SO LONG. CONVERSATION END. BEFORE WE COULD EVEN TAKE 2 STEPS FORWARD 3 PEOPLE WALKED OUT ANGRY I STOPPED THEM TO TALK SAID I SAID ARE YOU WITH THE COUPLE THAT JUST LEFT ANGRY THEY ALL SAID NO I ASKED WHAT WAS THE ISSUE STEAK WAS THE WORST EVER HAD ASPARAGUS COLD STAFF RUDE. TOOK WAY TO LONG TO GET ANYTHING THEY ASKED.FOR BOTH COUPLES SAID NEVER AGAIN THERE CALLING OUT BACK HEADQUARTER BECAUSE THEY (FILMED HALF THERE ISSUES) SAID MANAGEMENT DONT GIVE A FLIP. WE END OF.STORY IS WE NEVER WENT IN TO EAT WE TURNED AROUND AND WENT TO (LONG HORNS ) IN GROVETOWN. GUESS WHAT? STEAK WAS EXCELLENT BEER WAS GOOD AND NO ISSUES AT ALL. OUTBACK ON WASHINGTON RD GONNA CLOSE THERE DOORS SOON IF OWNER DOES NOT SHAPE UP. NOT LATER NOT ASAP. NOW.TO ADD TO THIS: OUR LONGHORNS WAITRESS QUIT OUTBACK NOT LONG AGO AND NOW WORKS AT LONGHORNS. NICE WAITRESS WORKS HARD. JESSICANEVER EVER RETURNED TO OUTBACK AGAIN.
I was really excited and looking forward to eat here. I finally get seated and then everything went downhill. I was just waiting with no one acknowledging me. Until finally a server who had seen me several times. Makes a “you want me to get you something to drink gesture”? I said no. But you can take my order. He replied, the girl who is supposed to take your order is out back checking her blood pressure. What he should of said was. I’m sorry for your wait, your server is dealing with a personal matter. But I can go ahead and take your order. My time is very valuable to me and it was totally wasted. I was beyond upset and just walked over to Bone Fish Grill. I was treated like a king and my food was served “very” quickly.
Just wish they have experience servers on my mom wedding dinner. Young fella got the orders wrong for a party of 20 ppl. Food was great once they got it right. Management needs to make sure both bathrooms were clean. They are terrible, and surprised they allow uncleanliness in those bathrooms. They need to do better upkeep of the bathrooms. I hate to see what their kitchen looks like.
This is by far the worse one I have been too. My bone in ribeye was so dry I asked for medium well and the other steak we ordered was supposed to be medium well but it was raw to the bone. The waiter was cool he just kept apologizing because he had a big table before us so we had to wait after them to get our food and it was still cold. They ran out of mash potatoes and we had to wait on our appetizer (wings) he said a lot of people were ordering them. I like the one in Aiken.
Terrible experience! Our Waiter seemed extremely incompetent. She started off by dropping off drinks with no straws. Came back and spilled a drink on our table. Another employee cleaned the mess on his hands and knees with a towel and stated that the restaurant “did not have a mop”. We waited two hours before leaving because our meals never came out. A couple who arrived at the same time as us received multiple refills, ate, paid and left while we were still waiting and waiting. Our waiter was nowhere to be found at this point so we had to ask for her. Her response was that she had “no control over the kitchen”(however she didn’t even do the things that she could control such as refilling our drinks, checking in and keeping us updated.) We left and went to Bonefish Where we received excellent service and food. Will never return to this Outback location.
After a long day at the Master’s, we decided to eat at the bar with Paul, Kayla and Demetrius instead of waiting for our table. We were so glad we did!!! What great teamwork, atmosphere and service! I even spilled my wine and Demetrius quickly cleaned it up and poured me a new class before I even had a chance to feel bad about it. Thanks, “D”! The food was great, too! 😘
Enjoyed date night with my hubby after a long week of work and we couldn’t have asked for a better server. Jacob was WONDERFUL! With restaurants being so busy and short staffed everywhere, he was a treat. He made us laugh, he was very informative about new menu items and returned to the table often to keep us abreast of what was going on with our food. If you stop by, ask for Jacob!!
My party of 3 had a reservation for 830. We showed up about 15 minutes early to make sure we arrived on time. Our tables was not ready until almost 9. Our appetizer didnt show up until after our main meal and was cold as if it had been sitting for 20 to 30 minutes. One of my party ordered the sirloin and shrimp and we were not informed about them being out of shrimp until after the orders were brought to our table and we asked twice about it. It took over an hour to get our response. We spent a total over nearly 2.5 hours here with our meal being only about 45 minutes of the total time. The rest was just waiting for our server to come back so we order or get our check and pay.
Had a great time at outback today. Our waitress in Augusta, GA was spectacular!! I had the blooming chicken sandwhich with a caesar salad. I had a great time with my brothers, my son, sister in law and their kids. I could not stop eating the fries. I would definitely recommend this location as its right off interstate 20.
Waitress was great very welcoming (Lexette J)HOWEVER steak was not well done like we asked. It was hot as hell, There where flies flying around our food and drinks and everything that could go wrong with our order went wrong. Not only that took forever for our food to be done. With that being said no excuse as to why the steaks couldn’t be done properly. Outback owes me the whole steak house.
This was the worse place that I have been. Waiter never brought napkins or silverware had to go get it ourselves. Waiter left and no one ever came to check on our table. After waiting 45 minutes went and got our check ourselves manager would not even come and apologize. Do not go you will be very very disappointed.
Waited almost an hour and a half to get a table. It was running slow in there but the food was good, but the bathrooms were very dirty and the water pressure for the sinks were awful. This could of been a 5 star review. The air conditioning also didnt work in half the restaurant.Original review: June 18, 2022Edited: June 21, 2022
We just left here after waiting an hour for hour entrées, only to never get them. We were seated rather quickly. Our waiter came quickly as well and got our drink orders. But he did have other larger tables to tend to and seemed a little distracted. Granted this was only his second week. He didn’t realize he didn’t he hadn’t given us our utensils or any bread. After we mentioned it, he brought them promptly. We ordered cheese fries and side salad, with no issue, and got that rather quickly. He came back and got our entrée order, which I ordered a big salad and baked potato while my husband ordered the ribs and chicken tenders with his two sides. We sat there for an hour waiting. He did come and check with us several times but seemed rather aloof about it. Ppl that had gotten there after us, got their food before us. He said that this usually happens with the table that we were sitting at and that the other night someone else waited 45 minutes. He agreed that it was ridiculous and stated that he was not sure why it was taking so long but our food would be out shortly. He said that twice. Even asked someone else carrying a tray of food , if it happened to be for us. The other waitresses began to notice. He even came back and seemed surprised that we had still not gotten our food, as if maybe someone else was going to bring it out. The final time he came he said that our food was not even on the line, and he went to talk to a manager, to come back and tell us our meal was free. Our meal being the side salad and cheese fries we received. Not even the meals we ordered to go. I am completely dissatisfied with this experience.
Was told we had an hour wait, this was at 4:30, okay thats fine. We are sitting there and people coming after us were being called in to be seated. We went in to check on how much longer since we had already been waiting an hour. We were told that it would be and 45 minutes or so longer. They young lady had to go back to the 1st sheet to find our name. 5 to 6 oclock is when it they start getting busy. We left!
We came for a lunch date and enjoyed everything. The waitress was nice and prompt. The food was good and the drinks were always filled. The only thing I could say is the hostess was not pleasant. She didn’t act like she wanted to be there and didn’t smile one time. Otherwise it was a great lunch experience.
I love Outback and hardly have any issues. However, the hostess for this evening on 1/4/2022 was unacceptable. We waited 40 minutes for a table for a large party - we understood we had a wait for a large party. However, she never told us a time limit and kept telling us “it’ll be ready in a few.” She specifically came to me one time to tell me they would have it ready in a few. She was rude when I went up later to ask about how long and rolled her eyes at my mother. Also, I noticed her on her phone at the hostess stand and we noticed her later standing back talking not working. Our waiter was EXCELLENT and the food was delicious. I will be back but wanted to let people know about the unacceptable hostess situation tonight.
I made an order IN PERSON, the only thing that was good was the drink at the bar. I spent $50 on food plus a tip. The order was called back to me at the register, when I ordered. I got my order and my girlfriends order was completely wrong. My order was half way complete. I blame this on bad management in the kitchen, not the waitress.
Was just there for over 20 minutes waiting on table for two wife even called ahead and hostess seated couple that was behind us that had no appointment before us. Talk to manager but l still left. Be long time before I go back. Eating at Bone Fish right now. Steak and lobster is really good!!!
The crabcakes were extremely salty; the remoulade sauce was awful, & the presentation was poor. The blue cheese lettuce wedge had discolored lettuce. Additionally, the drinking glass had lipstick on it. My husband requested a well done steak & it wasnt. The meal was $58.
Horrible experience at Outback of Augusta. Our waitress(a girl with fake colored contacts) was extremely argumentative when we stated our food was cold. A manager came over to offer us gift cards for our next visit and seemed apologetic. We attempted to use the gift cards the next visit. No money was on the gift cards. That was so distasteful. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone!
I was with a friend and we started off with a blooming onion and it was a little spicy, my throat was burning pretty good after eating my share. My friend had a salad and a 6oz. steak. I had the coconut shrimp and fries and enjoyed both very much. She had tea and I had diet coke. We split the price of the blooming onion and my ticket was less than $20.00. We had a very enjoyable and pleasant lunch. We will go back.
There were 4 people at the counter when we walked in and no one acknowledged we were there. I went to the bar to see what types of wine they had and the bartender was rude. We were sat at a table and the waitress was wonderful and the food was great and came quickly. I had to wait 20 to 30 minutes to get a glass of wine served at my table. This is unacceptable. Thank you Erin our waitress you were great
My recent visit to Outback Steakhouse was terrible. When we arrived the cooks were outside hanging out. When we walked inside the resturant the hostess was sitting down at a table just looking at us standing in front of the podium. When she decided to walk over she didnt greet us at all. We had to greet her instead. She told us, that we had a 10 minute wait, then she left and went to the back. When she came back out, she told us that she doesnt know when well be able to be seated because they were in between shift change and she didnt know how long it will take to. At that moment we decided to go to Red Lobster.
Its not worth it. The food was good but the service was awful, My boyfriend didnt get his sweet tea until more than half his food was gone. She said it was because they were making new tea but it tasted old note she didnt tell us they had to make more until she brought it out which if he had known he would have just gotten water. When we asked for too-go drinks we waited 10-15 minutes and nothing. She came to the table a total of 2 times and once she yelled yall good at us like 10 feet away. like. She grabbed him on both shoulders which is weird since were going through a global pandemic right now and a new strain just came out more deadly than any, but he honestly felt threatened by the way she did it. I didnt see it but hes a calm guy so him storming out of a restaurant is rare. Note: my grandma, mom and sister are all servers so I understand if things take a little longer or come out tasting off but at least have the drinks out before the steak also it not busy at all so like you really just dont care I typically tip 20-50$ too so you missed out on that we still tipped just not nearly as much as we normally do.
Came in at 5pm today. Sat for 28 minutes before anyone acknowledged I was there. In fact not until I went back to the check in desk and ask them to find the waitress that was doing so good a job of ignoring me. Yes, I know the excuses, short staffed, busy,If you don’t have enough help to cover the tables quit seating people.A simple acknowledgment would have been sufficient.Hopefully the food will be decent.Update. Food was decent. Overall a poor experience tho.
Not very happy. At $180 party of 7 we expect a bit better. Our server C. was very personable but was not very good. Ordered a $25 steak which a third was just fat and not well done as per her request, the manager intervened and corrected the order. My husbands order was to be a 15oz ribeye we received a 12oz. No refill on drinks. We had to ask for cutlery at every phase of our meal. We kept having to call our server for various reasons and ask other servers for assistance. We received better service at a fast food establishment than we did here. This was NOT a pleasant experience. We were frustrated and a bit stressed taking out my parents while in town visiting.
I’m so sad to leave a bad review! Outback in Augusta has been our favorite for at least 20 years. Our entire experience tonight was terrible. Out of 5 drinks at our table, 4 were wrong. When the bartender returned with a correct drink she slammed it on the table and stomped off. Two of five meals were delivered before salads...we had to ask for those which we couldn’t eat because we had not been given silverware at that point. We asked for the manager...she did not seem very concerned...took the two meals back to send out with the other 3. Of the 3 steaks ordered, 1 was correct. Two salmon dishes were ordered. The salmon was very over cooked. We had to ask twice and wait 20 minutes for drink refills. We again asked for the manager...she arrived as we were ready to leave. Bad experience from the beginning...😢
Its always a dice roll as to what youre going to get here - Ive had great meals where the steak was cooked to perfection, and Ive had meals where the appetizers came out 2 minutes before the main course, and the steak was dry and over-cooked. I wish there was a bit more consistency; wed probably eat here more. As it is, once were through the gift cards we have, this will probably be no more than a once-a-year choice.
They couldn’t cook my steak medium rare and when i asked for it replaced he asked “do you want me to get them to throw it back on the grill” and then replaced it with almost well-done steak. (Its a health code violation to put food that has been placed on the customer’s table and cut open back on the grill)
Wow. This place is a saving grace. We were traveling through and looking for a place to eat and everywhere we checked wouldnt let us have our dogs in outdoor seating. We couldnt leave them in the hot car and we dont eat fast food. They allowed us to sit in their outdoor area with our 2 small dogs. Our waitress even brought them out water bowls without us asking! The food was great and service was great too.Thank you for giving good service to even 4 legged customers. Well never forget it.
I got to say they surprised me a lot by our late-night visit we stopped by after trying to find something to eat and was unsuccessful and it was about 15 minutes until close and normally thats definitely not a good time to go into a restaurant but not only were they very friendly when we walked in but their level of service at that time of you meaning was amazing and I believe our waiter was named Jamal and if I got that wrong I do apologize but we talked about your dog and even though he was trying to clean up and do his side work he maintained an exceptionally great attitude and had zero problems getting us whatever we needed and the bad thing is weve been to plenty of restaurants during regular business hours and werent treated as well and we are normally great tippers and Not only was his service good but the food came out hot and fresh and it tasted amazing which is another then you must be surprised at during that time of night right before close and a funny thing happened while we were there another girl was boasting she was a better waitress as she swept up the floor sloppily around us and then after she walked away he swept up the floor correctly all wow multitasking very well which hes also supposed to train for bartender and if thats the case yall need to hire the boy he has a great customer service skill and would be wise to be used accordingly and we also really appreciate the level of friendliness directly before yall closed and yall made it seem like you didnt care if it was a minute after yall would still serve someone like you just opened I highly recommend it
My husband and I celebrated our 21 Wedding Anniversary early this afternoon and We both had the 8 oz filet and They were cooked perfect and So Juicy and Tender Baked Potatoes was hot and So was the bread. We had a very sweet waitress ( Sorry I dont remember her name )We told her it was our anniversary and Then the manager came out with a Very Big Slice of Strawberry Cheesecake. It was so good.Thank You
I stopped in to have dinner with my wife while on business. We work for the same company. The service was bad and the table was dirty. The food was ok, but the dirt and the 30 minutes between visits to the table never left my mind. To top it all off the waitress added a 2 to the tip line next to $5 I left her despite her unconcerned attitude. So yeah she stole $20 from my corporate credit and she still has a job handling peoples money. How many times has she gotten away with this????They mysteriously cannot find the receipt but I take pictures for my expense report so I will include that . I have contacted the Outback corporate office. They say 24-48 hours to get a response well it’s been over 24 so we will see.
Just a night out with great people. The food was awesome. I need to take the chef, who made my ribeye home with me. There was a lot of teamwork also. Combined with a nice atmosphere this dinner was an amazing experience. Kudos to the hot bread with honey butter. 😁. I gave only four stars because Ive noticed that the coconut shrimps have been getting smaller and smaller each time. For the amount of money, I wod expect larger shrimps.
On a busy Saturday night was given a wait time of 45 minutes. Seated in about 25. Appetizer was delicious. Husband said steak was cooked perfect. My ribs were delicious. It was my husbands birthday and asked about birthday dessert. They did give us the ice cream but without the brownie. lol. All good though. Our waitress was excellent. Thanks for a nice dinner.
This was the worst experience, apparently outback just hires anyone off the street. I ordered a burger and aussie cheese fries. Took over 30 minutes, when the food finally came, it was cold and the fries were not what i ordered. So i sent them back. The server came back 10 Minutes later with the correct fries, told her that the burger was also cold. She took the burger, Im sitting there 20 minutes waiting on my burger, only to ask wheres my burger? She said oh, i thought you didnt want it since you said it was cold. Are you kidding me!!I told her nevermind. She never ask if we wanted refills neither did she check to see if both of our cups were empty. Gave my husband salad dressing on his salad, but never ask him what did he want on it. The worst!!!
We had to ask to be seated away from the toilets. Then we waited over 20 minutes to be asked for a drink order. They brought out drinks out in paper cups. She forgot about the bread and plates for our bread. Been sitting now for almost 1 hour without our entrees, and glasses. Looking around at other tables who have glasses and their entrees before us after they were seated after us. NEVER AGAIN! I’m leaving…
My wife and I eat here occasionally. One of our favorite steakhouses. Tonight we tried a new item on the menu, Twisted Ribs. They were juicy and the meat fell off the bone. Very tasty. Liked the breading on the ribs. The Sirloins were good. Had mine char-grilled rather than pan seared. Try it.
Worst experience we have ever had at any Outback establishment! Terrible service, we had to ask another server for silverware/napkins and bread! The table next to us came in 20 minutes after us and was served before us! My husband didn’t receive his food…order didn’t get keyed in, had to share my dinner because we did not want to wait another 45 minutes for his food come out. Manager made her rounds and we explained our experience…she took off our appetizer and 3 drinks….nice but not enough to bring me back anytime soon!
Let me first state that I dont usually write bad reviews. My husband and I were seated by the hostess and we waited and waited...But, we thought, maybe, they are short in staff, so we continued to wait. Another couple was then, seated across from us and right away, the server came over to take their order. We will not be coming back.
Heres what I dont understand: customers write reviews and if theyre bad reviews, management immediately writes were sorry your experience was not great. Please contact us so we can discuss. Yet nothing changes. Not the food, waitstaff, wait time, etc. So let us write the bad reviews and management should just stay out of it. We customers have to stick together and warn each other when weve had bad experiences at these places so we dont return. This way, we effect change and hurt the management when they have to close down. This is a learning experience.
Looked to be a slow Tuesday. I sat at the bar. Was helped right away. Casey the bartender was great, she was on the spot with everything, as she was with other customers who were sitting at the bar. Little bit of a wait for the food, nothing extreme. However, the steak I had absolutely ZERO flavor. When I order a steak (anywhere) it’s medium rare and should never need salt, pepper, or sauce of any kind. Other than that I good experience.Give Casey a raise 🙌🏼
It was a large group of my friends family for her mothers birthday and the waitress we had remained friendly and professional with all of the questions and orders. They were out of a few items like bread and garlic butter topping for the steaks. However, the manager compensated for the lack of items by giving us our appetizers for free. Food was delicious, I just finished the rest of my steak lol.
The wait was long, very unprofessional staff, waited 4 hrs for our meal and when it came it was cold 🥶 so the waiter reached into my plate with his hands ✋ and removed it. The manager came and payed for our meal after that and gave us our meal to go. Will not go back to that location anymore on a weekend 👎👎👎👎👎
Definitely not one of the best establishments of theirs I have been to. My broccoli wasnt done, my chicken wasnt prepared right, I had to ask for things multiple times, the staff wasnt very attentive or friendly. I sat at the bar, there was a girl there for her second day post training who Definitely should have been started as a waitress and should not have been behind the bar. She was ditsy, very forgetful, and scatterbrained. She also took so long to help some people that the other barkeep already had that and multiple other things done before shed come back. She had to be told the same things over and over, if she was asked for something it nearly took an act of congress.I understand everyone gets anxious and confused at first, but she certainly needed more training or to start in another position. The male barkeep however was very attentive and very patient with the new girl. He was super friendly, and never let a rude customer across the bar or having to tell the other bartender things over and over ever show any sign of frustration. He talked up the customers and treated them as he would like to be treated and my family and I really appreciated the hospitality he showed and made up for what the rest of the staff seemed to lack.
This was one of the worst experiences Ive ever had! The only thing I can say was the waiter was nice. My potato soup was actually congealed. It was like gravy that had been set out for too long with glumps of what felt like jelly. My medium steak came out literally purple it was so raw. They took my cut steak and put it back on the same grill. Brought me back the same steak this time so dried out and well done me nor my husband could cut through it with a steak knife. We couldnt even saw through it! The manager didnt even bother to apologize. This was supposed to be my birthday meal and I didnt even get anything to eat. Left almost in tears from anger!
My 1st time visiting and I LOVED IT! The wait was supposed to be 30 minutes but it actually was less than 10. Cozy environment, that was very inviting. The beverage that I chose was a frozen peach, it was delicious. Appetizer was good, just wish the wings were sauced instead of having the dry rub. Now on to the meal: I am NOT A STEAK fan BUT this steak was cooked to my liking (well done) not too dry or tuff and was seasoned pretty good. The shrimp was to die for as well as the loaded potato. I will DEFINITELY BE BACK
Outback Steakhouse is okay. Its a typical corporate Steakhouse. There is a bar in the center of the restaurant, but its my opinion that you should go a company with friends and sit in regular dining. You wont have any trouble parking because the large organic grocery store that opened in the same shopping went vacant, leaving plenty of space for vehicles. I used to go practice riding my motorcycle there when I first got it, because of how large the lot was and there wasnt very many obstacles to hit LOL. I usually just order a cheeseburger when I go to Outback, so Im not much of a help on their cuisine. I would like to mention that I ordered their prime rib sandwich, imagine a more of a Philly cheese steak. But what I got actually wasnt prime rib sandwich indeed. The atmosphere in the restaurant was pretty nice, and my family went on a Sunday afternoon so it was packed with church-goers. When you want a good steak, its hard to beat T-Bones, which coincidentally is almost directly across the street from Outback Steakhouse. There are just so many chain restaurants now that serve steaks. That makes it extremely hard to do a review without having tried all of the steaks at all of the local steak restaurant chains. Hmmm....that gives me an idea.
Update: the manager of Outback did reach out to me via usps and sent a letter apologizing for the inconvenience, which honestly is a goodOlive branchTo send and receiveWas seated at 1938 never once greeted by a waiter. But 2 tables were sat in our area and received drinks that were sat after us. We got up and left at 1958. Tired of the bad service at this location… hostess advised our waiter should of been Chris.
I had an awful experience. Walked in and the entrance smelled like old parmesan cheese. We waited for 6 minutes before a host came up. We were walking out the door when one showed up but still sat down. It was several minutes before the server came over. Food was overly greasy. Bloomin onion not cooked at all, still with raw batter. Chicken was overcooked and greasy, which is odd for grilled chicken. Would not go back.
Recent trip to outback was just a shock. Service, was great, however the food was lacking. The steaks were dried out, lacked flavor and just wasnt as good as it usually is. They did remove the item that was over cooked hence the good Service. Our waitress was sweet, friendly and the staff was just great. The food no.
Would not go back to this restaurant if it was the last one on planet. If you like your steak burnt, dry and tough as leather, you came to the right place. Oh you have to wait 2 hours to get that fine piece of meat also. First and only review Ive ever put on a restaurant. Everyone in that restaurant ,who was eating, had a problem or a send back. Do your self a favor, stay away.
This is the 3rd time I’ve had terrible service there. Today my family was seated and our drink order taken after about 5 minutes but 40 minutes later we still had nothing after choking down two loafs of bread! It wasn’t a packed house either. We saw our waitress twice and each time reminded her about drinks and she would say I’m getting them now but they never came . After 45 minutes of nothing on our table but the bread . We had to leave and go get steak and lobster elsewhere. After 3 times of rude and bad service . I will forever take outback off my list and it use to be my favorite! Their service has really declined .
Service at the Bar was amazing. Each time I needed a drink or silverware, I went to the Bar to get what was needed for our table. The service was sooo slow at our table, we were seated at 5 pm and waited well over a hour and a half to get our entrées. I would not recommend this place on a Sunday evening.
Onion appetizer over done. Beer orders incorrect. Vodka tonic was terrible. Tasted like club soda instead of tonic. We were told by the bartender that was just the way it was. Ordered a beer instead and when the bartender brought it to the table, she slammed it down and walked away. Two of the 5 dinners came out before the salad. Took a while, but they did replace the steaks of those two when they brought the other 3 orders. One steak was too tough to chew. These were filets. Two filets were ordered medium rare. Both were medium. Two orders were salmon. Both were too dry to eat- overcooked. Manager did comp the drinks.
We had the worst experience weve ever had at an outback. All 3 of our steaks were over cooked, even our 2 year olds. Asked for ranch 4 times, never got it. Ordered the shrimp appetizer, didnt find out they were out until 15 mins later (when we should have gotten it), and our soup came out so cold (another 10 mins later) the cheese wouldnt melt. When we finally got the food, it had obviously been sitting in the window and wasnt even warm when we got it. When we told them about the babys food being wrong, they never even offered to get him something else. When the server got the manager (Tasha), she came over and she just took off my steak and the babys (not a bite off either plate had been eaten) and then walked away, not another word from her. All we wanted was to have dinner, but when a toddler has already waited for over 40 minutes, you dont really want to wait for anything else, but itd still be nice if they had offered the baby some other food. (He did eat the cold soup so he ate but they didnt know that). Definitely wont be going back.
After 4 years of not having an outback i was craving a big steak medium rare what I got was a three hour visit and after all that time my steak came out well done. On top of all that our waitress acted like she didnt want to work and ignored us except for the 2 times I was able to walk around and find her. It was not busy at all and I can see why. It took 45 mins to get a draft beer and almost everyone at my table had a messed up order including my wife who ordered soup and salad and didnt get her food until everyone else was served. Now mind you this is after asking 3 different people to tell our waitress she forgot my wifes salad. Needless to say I will now be returning because the service was that bad
Party of 9. Two of our steaks were sent back (think hockey pucks) and another one just ate theirs but it was over done as well. They made a bill adjustment for one and remade one but thats not what you want when you go out for a celebration. Upside was that the server, Anna was great!
Usually do love this place but have had negative experiences with the employees. Always a hit or pass. Recently had a curb pickup and this blonde young skinny girl was rude. Also my pickup didn’t include ANY of the salads or mash potatoes that were supposed to come with my order which was almost $200!
VERY thankful that we chose to come here last night. We were frustrated that we are new to the area, went to another restaurant, and wasnt even offered a drink until we got up to leave 20mins later!Came here to give it a shot, and oh man! Our server D(not sure if I can put his full name out there), was EVERYTHING! He took VERY great care of us, was a very humbled man, and he turned our night around for the better! Its one thing to have great food, and your family is beyond satisfied, but to have AMAZING service on top of that; we will be back!
Miscommunication delayed service, admittedly we were Comped an appetizer for the delay. It went downhill from there, a bug was on the table, hair rolled up in my wifes napkin, continued delays in getting the complete order, food over cooked, and so on. Really the place felt dirty and neglected. Not a pleasant experience. The staff attempted to compensate.
Hate to ding Outback as it used to be a fav. Last meal we ordered directly from Outback. The philly sandwich was horrible. We actually threw more than half away.It was meat & bread. Thats about it. And a small, maybe 1/5 cup of au jus for a big sandwich. Our salad had cucumbers that were slimy and clear. Clearly in no way fresh.Salad was overall not fresh. Threw it away also.We opened our food as soon as we got home.Missing items for sides for potato and sweet potato...they were printed on the receipt.Ribs were good.Last order was also not good.Thought we would give it another shot.Consistancy is the key to a good chain. They are not keeping up.
The hostess neglected to register our party of two - twice and we waited and waited .. The steak had a funny film on it - didnt taste normal. The waitress forgot my lobster tail, forgot to fill drinks and then forgot to return my credit card, all while grabbing the receipt to check the tip, but not clearing the table. Not a good look for this Outback.
This makes the 3rd time we’ve had horrible service. Thought at 1 st the waitress was having a bad night. Drinks took forever, our orders were messed up, couldn’t get someone to bring condiments or refills. 2nd time thought maybe because it was busier than average. Same type of thing as the 1st with the service. 3rd time we waited an hr to get seated at 7:06 then waited another 49mins for our drinks which we never got. We finally decided to leave, and This is the worst outback I’ve ever been to in my life. We will Not be back.
Totally amazing! The steaks were cooked to perfection! My husband and I usually have a hard time with chefs cooking our steaks medium like we ask. Most of the time we have to send them back once or twice, but Outback got it right and it was sooo good. Our server Ashley was awesome. She took care of all of our needs and wants and she even did a little suggestive selling, which is always a plus for me!
Our family of 10 called almost 2 hours ahead to see if it was OK to have all of us & reserve a table for 7:30pm because we were driving 30 miles from Thomson to get there. We got there at 7:27... At 8:16 we asked for a manager. Im pretty sure they just forgot about us. The manager was really nice & apologetic & said they would comp our appetizers. Our server Ashley was very nice & very attentive. She made sure the rest of our visit was better than how it started.
We had call ahead seating and had to wait an additional 45 minutes to be seated. They told us 3 different times our tables were being cleaned, each 10 to fifteen minutes apart. Our food was ok but nowhere near what we are used to being served at Outback. Our server was however incredible! .
One word. PERFECT 👌. The whole meal was flawless. My ribeye and my hubbys prime rib were beyond 😋 cooked perfectly. Deliciously seasoned. To make the whole dining experience even more of a pleasure, our server Blake was 👏 👏 👏 unbelievably fantastic. He didnt miss a beat from start to finish. Very professional and courteously attentive to all of his customers. If youve never tried the mushroom appetizers, please abligh yourself and try them. Great experience all way round.
Me and my family waited went there last night and had to wait an hour for our food. then they told us that a party of 18 people people there order got placed before ours so we had to wait another 50 minutes. After everything got situated. they gave us a free dessert and a discount. But luckily we don’t have to go back there.
My wife and I love outback. Never a bad experience when we go and we go quite often. A little bummed they didnt have draft beer at all but thats not a deal breaker. I tried their new Bloomin Fried Chicken and it was so, so good! The chicken breast was HUGE, juicy, and flavored really well! Tasted exactly like the blooming onion batter.
Its really just okay. The bread was good, the appetizer was good, the service was actually quite good. Unfortunately, the entree a 6 oz sirloin, medium, with grilled shrimp, was really only passable. I dont like to have to use steak sauce to enjoy a steak. And for the price, its just not worth it to me. Texas Roadhouse, just across the parking lot, is much better, for less money.
I had the Ribeye which was fatty but had a great taste. I turned it back in and the manager suggested a sirloin. Well, I tried the sirloin but it was dried out and not a tender cut. I gave the sirloin to my husband, who planned to take it to work for lunch the next day. So this was my first visit but Id definitely try it again. If the ribeye hadnt been soooo fatty I would certainly have kept it because it was seasoned to perfection!!! The manager was on spot to assist with another selection but the sirloin was no match for the ribeye!!!!!

2022-05-03We arrived about one hour before closing on a Saturday night. We had three adults, one of which is handicap & using an electric chair. Despite being EXTREMELY busy with a large party our did a stellar job. She kept our drinks full, our order was accurate, and she checked back with us multiple times. The potato soup was a filling comfort. My Salad was HUGE & gorgeous, clean ingredients, crisp/fresh lettuce. My boyfriend said his steak was cooked PERFECTLY. Our waitress + other staff were all friendly/welcoming, polite/relatable, accommodating/courteous. Wonderful experience which we hope to repeat very soon.

2022-01-26Both steaks were cooked wrong. Sent 1 back, they put it back on the grill and brought it back... The second was burned on one side, didnt send it back for fear it wouldve just been put back on the grill and get the same steak back..idk. The shrimp was dry. The drink was good. The sides were good. Waitress was very friendly and welcoming. I expect my steak to be cooked as ordered at a steak house...

2021-10-19They used to be slow at lunchtime, but theyre really gotten a lot better. The servers were fast with refills, and very nice. One was taking her time with an elderly couple, which was just so sweet to watch. The food came out quickly as well. Lunch is definitely the time to go!

2021-08-11Bloomin onion, steaks, potatoes; all fantastic. What brings the rating down so significantly is the ribs, chicken, asparagus, and drinks. Ribs were just not good. Chicken was very obvious it was frozen and warmed (rubbery texture). Asparagus was an additional $1.00 side upgrade, there were FOUR stalks! Give me a break, you’re taking away a side and charging an extra dollar for four severely overcooked stalks. If you want to indulge in an adult beverage, stick to beer! My old fashioned was so ridiculously watered down I couldn’t even taste a hint of the Makers Mark that was claimed to be in in. After telling the waitress about the excessive water I (foolishly) ordered the margarita flight in hopes the bartender would correct the issue…well, it wasn’t as watery, however it was very mix heavy. Spirits used must be .75 oz per full size cocktails or less. The beer from draft luckily was good (minus not having my first pick of the Sam Seasonal). If we return, it’ll only be steak and beer.Oh! And what kind of “steakhouse” doesn’t have pork chops!?

2022-04-23Horrible experience. sat down for 30 min before we even had silverware or straws. ordered a lemonade that took ab additional 25 min to receive. our server never came and checked on us even after constantly walking by our table. finally received our app (still no silverware or lemonade) & immediately asked to order our entree so we wouldn’t be there all night. when we got our food, she gave the food to the wrong person, still no silverware, didn’t take any of our dirty plates or asked if we were okay. so i went to ask for another server because i understand that servers can get overwhelmed. got a new server ONLY to have the same situation happen. not checked on, no plates taken, nothing. it was our first date night since covid and this is what happened. i 100% understand restaurants are struggling right now which is why we wanted to support them, but being treated the way we were isn’t okay. after we received our check, the new server then proceeded to tell us, “i’m sorry things didn’t go your way”… WHO SAYS THAT?!?! needless to say, we cannot and will not go back here again. but we wish the company the best

2021-09-11I had the Blooming onion burger after a reccomendation from a friend. Absolutely fantastic burger. I sat at the bar, so I didnt have to deal with any wait time, but the staff was kind, polite and speedy. Would come back again to have more foods that are bad for my health.

2022-04-07Had a great dine in service here. The wait was a bit long but the food and service made up for it! Our server Paul was great, he was very attentive to our drinks and food. I recommend eating here if you get the chance.

2022-05-04Ordered through doordash, 2 victoria filets medium rare with veggies , potatoes and fries as sides and some mac and cheese. Both steaks were raw. Severely undercooked. The veggies were undercooked. Potatoes and Mac and cheese was underwhelming but ok. We order delivery from here regularly so I am really dissapointed. And hungry!

2022-01-26Service was great! Food took a while to come out and it was just an appetizer and a bowel of soup. The appetizer blooming onion was great but the bowl of chili was 8.99 and didn’t fill the bowl, it also wasn’t really hot. This was pretty expensive for soup in Augusta, Ga and it was about half empty. Only the spoon was removed, they put it on the most empty side of the bowl. No bites were taken. Very disappointed
