The first time I walked into OWENS GYM I was impressed by the diversity of workout equipment! The owner (Houston Owens) and his staff truly have a heart and passion to see everyone succeed in reaching their goals. There is no judgment only genuine encouragement. The atmosphere is welcoming and always brings a smile to my face😊. Whether you are a Powerlifter or just starting out OWENS GYM can and will meet your needs. I highly recommend OWENS GYM!
I love this gym! Everyone is so supportive here. It’s a great family atmosphere! The group classes and personal trainers are awesome!! The staff is super friendly! Equipment is clean! Childcare has lots of toys for the kiddos. Houston has done an amazing job with upgrades! Excited to see this gym growing! Come in and check it out!
This place is more than a gym!! This is the best place around for beginners all the way up to the seasoned weightlifter/athlete!! No matter where you are on your fitness journey, this is the spot to be. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, trainers with a wide variety of training background, multiple styles of equipment for all types of exercise, tanning, and now batting cages. This place isn’t just about lifting. This place is about encouragement and pushing you to get to that goal that you have set. Owens Gym is family!!

One of the greatest gyms I have been to out this way. Houston is a great guy and runs a great facility. It’s clean, great environment and has all equipment I needed to get my lifts in. I definitely would recommend anyone in the area to stop by and check the gym out. Better than most corporate gyms I’ve attended.

I love 17 fitness! It is a clean environment that provides all the equipment I need to meet my fitness goals. I am always welcomed when I walk in the door by Levi and he is always there to answer any questions or help me whenever I need it. My trainer Bill is amazing and has helped me obtain my weight loss goals. I would not be where I am today, 70 pounds down, without Bills encouragement and knowledge! I love this gym and all the staff that make it what it is.
We are new to the area, this gym has totally welcomed us with open arms. The staff is friendly and helpful. The gym is stocked full of machines, free weights and cardio!! The 24/7 hours are great too. The price to join just could not be beat also 🤷🏼♀️🏋🏼♀️. Glad we joined and the staff and members always make us feel welcome!
Very clean and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is amazing and the owner, Houston, is very approachable and knowledgeable. I couldnt have hoped for a better experience here. And I just love the Cardio Cinema. The child care makes it possible for me to keep a steady schedule and my son absolutely loves coming here while I work out.

I run events with USPA SC and we came into Taccoa to Owens Gym and was amazed. They had everything you could think of for every person. It was specious and clean. The owner was very kind and helpful. I would definitely recommended this gym.

Transform Fitness Center has literally begun a transformation in me. Ive been working with a personal trainer twice a week, and have been seeing great results. The new owner/manager, Craig, is an awesome guy. Hes running the club the right way and has created an incredible environment for fitness and community. Highly recommend.
17 Fitness has a great staff. Very professional, and the facility is always clean. The gym is open 24 hrs/day, and the rates are very competitive. The atmosphere is great and non-judgmental, whether you are a beginner or an experienced athlete.
I am always to happy to walk through the gym doors. The staff is friendly and encouraging, the equipment is well maintained, and everything is kept clean! Kim is an an amazing instructor! As a result of her classes , I am stronger, have more endurance, and am probably in the best shape of my life! She constantly challenges us to push ourselves to do more with new workouts! Kim has a dedicated following and we rarely miss her classes!

This gym scams you out of money left and right. Dont join. They charged me 80 bucks one month during the lockdown for a 20/month plan. Then my bank (NavyFed) advised that i deny their further transactions. So i did which was legally within my rights. They then sent a debt collector for the remainder of my contract. When i signed up the main reason was mostly equipment that was then moved out. They would charge me 40 a month every month even though i explained that i get paid on the first. My contract was for 20 (again)
I love the Owens Gym friendly atmosphere and celebration of all transformations. We get staff support with training plans and encouragement on fitness goals. 2019 Update- my account issues have been settled by the new owner who was not only very apologetic, but who also had the integrity to invite me back; I liked that! I will consider this gym again in the future if I can use the facilities Without a long-term contract.----------------------------------------------------------------------ETA- DO NOT AGREE TO ONGOING BILLING WITH THIS GYM!!! IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL!Ive been coming to this gym for years for Tae Kwondo and the name has changed three times since I joined: Golds Gym, Big A Gym (or was it Fitness?) and now 17 Fitness. The gym is as much as can be expected in such a small town; usually friendly staff that has a high turn-over rate (at least, this is true of the night crew) and recently upgraded equipment. It is usually clean and odor free. However, there have been many occasions where there were malfunctions in the bathrooms and with the water fountain and the floor in the classroom is in noticeable need of replacing. Ill remain as long as my TKD classes are there, but I am unsure I would pay a regular membership to workout.Edit to add- tried to cancel my membership six months ago on FOUR different occasions. I am still be billed and am now being harrassed by the billing company.
My husband and I were in search of a gym. We went so several gyms ranging from an hour to 30 minutes away. Our search was pretty disappointing until we visited Fitness17. What a relief! A gym my husband and I could agree on. The staff is very nice and welcoming while the facility is clean with updates machines. Having a stair master is a must and they have it!! They even have a dark cardio room with a movie playing if you feel like you need more privacy. Hands down.. This gym is the best gym in Toccoa and is even better than the gyms that are within a 30 mile radius from where I live!!-MikeStela ❤

2021-02-10Owens Gym is the best gym! Over the years I have tried a few others in the area and even some out of town, but this is the gym that I feel like is home for me. It is the most friendly, encouraging, and accepting place. Some people think it’s only for meat heads, but that isn’t true! It’s a place for anyone and everyone that has goals. Whether you are new to the workout scene, or you have been training for years, it’s perfect for everyone. It’s like a family there. The customers and the staff are always glad to see you. There are also so many training options to choose from at Owen’s gym. They have a cross fit box, a cardio cinema room, a power lifting room, free weights and machines, and they offer a ton of different types of classes like boot camp, spin, Zumba, and classes for seniors! They also have tanning beds, locker rooms with showers, and even batting cages. The owner, Houston Owens is great too! He is part of our small town community, but he has big goals and dreams for each of his members! I want community and accountability when I go to the gym and that is what you will get at Owen’s. My experience at Owen’s has been great, so if your in the market for a gym you should definitely check it out!

2021-01-02Amazing!I started my fitness journey mid 2020 and went for a few months but then I fell out of my routine of going. Now Ive started coming back for the new year and, well I dont know how to compare it to other gyms seeing as this is my first one BUT, nevertheless its an wonderful atmosphere to get fit.Great and friendly staff and a clean facility. Spacious and plenty of equipment for many to do their own thing.I feel great going back and I hope to stick with it longer!(lol)

2020-05-28The perfect place for any level of fitness training you desire. The staff is friendly and helpful and you can feel how much they love the environment they are in the minute you walk in the door. Extra care is spent on cleaning to ensure the safety for others as well as plenty of space between equipment. I love that they take such much pride in the community and they enjoy the members and their time spent in the gym. They offer classes for any level and are always updating equipment. This gym will help you reach whatever fitness level you desire with no pressure or judgement. Even if you are not local and have to make time for the drive there, give it a shot and you won’t be disappointed. I am proud to be a part of this group of people!

2020-09-17Highly recommend this gym to anyone in Northeast Ga region! Owens Gym is not like any other gym in the area.The environment is open, friendly and supportive. Speaking from a female perspective, for many women it can feel intimidating to join a gym because there are not many women comparatively. But at Owens, you never feel out of place. They have fabulous female trainers to work with you 1:1, coach you, and many female led classes. At Owens, basic fitness is elevated. With a wide range of equipment, private training room, shower rooms, CrossFit area and more, it’s a step above the rest.
