The hotel is renovated, but the rooms are clean and cute. I did find some cigarette ash in the sink, but I thought little of it since the room was just so clean. The rooms currently do not have carpet floors, and instead just have bare wooden floors, but I think the hotel intends on changing this. Contrary to the general OYO website, there is no microwave or refrigerator, which may be because of the renovation, but the rooms are pretty small as they are. They do not yet have cable TV, but they have Amazon Prime video as compensation.It is true that there is a deposit. For one night, said deposit for me was $30, which is refundable when you check out. The nights stay was actually $70 for me. Since I checked in at a later time, I tried asking the receptionist if I could push back my check out time. He tried to respond, but the language barrier between us two did not help, and it seemed like he was reciting a script when he responded even though I think he was trying to tell me no. Said receptionist was friendly overall though; he delivered a shower curtain that was not in my room, and he smiles.I would definitely return to this hotel (or visit any OYO hotel) if needed; it is infestation-free, unlike some of the hotels in the area. The prices can be more affordable, depending on how in advance you book, as well as where you book.
I did not get a chance to stay here. I went in to rent a room after a 12 hr drive from ohio. the lady came to the front once i rang the bell. she asked if i had a reservation and acted mad when i told her i did not. She did not want to accept my first card because it also had my fiancé’s name on it, i said that’s fine and gave her another card. i then asked for downstairs room so we didn’t have to climb stairs. She was snotty to entire transaction but once i requested the downstairs room she started yelling at me that her rooms were not handycap. i said to her i didn’t need a handycap room i just asked for it to be downstairs. she continues yelling no our rooms will not work for you, we have no handycap. i went to say again but she walked over and slammed my is and card on the counter. i said ok that is fine i will take my money somewhere else. She was very very rude the entire process and refused to rent to me just because i requested a downstairs room. i should have read reviews before i went there but we were tired. and ready to be settled
Go to another hotel. The rooms are semi clean. But the worse part about it is they make you pay a $50 dollar fee but you get it back when they check your room. Our room was clean and she told us our $50 would be refunded. THEY NEVER GAVE US OUR MONEY! I called and they said its on the way back to our card but never gave it to us. They say it takes 7-40 days to refund. Don’t fall for the scam.
I booked a hotel room for some employees working in the area for 7 days. One employee came a day late and the hotel front desk told him that he couldn’t stay because he was labeled a “no show” and they wouldn’t let him check-in after everything was already paid.They took my money and wouldn’t let my employee stay in the room that I already paid for! It’s robbery. They kept telling me to speak with Expedia whom it was booked through for refunds, but this was just a lie.
I was helping my friend get a hotel room for the night. Called Oyo and it went to reservations so we got a room booked good price too. But we get to the hotel and she said we dont take reservations.. but I said I have her reservations number so after all the hasle they denied it. Im glad she didnt use her debit card... Dont go there very rude employee! Will never up see them wve again
This is not an official OYO hotel anymore. The signs are all over it saying OYO hotel and to call and book through OYO but they won’t take your reservation if you do book. They also won’t take a reservation if you book through any 3rd party sites. The only way to book a room here is if you go Into the lobby with the sign that says “be back in 20 minutes” but nobody will ever show up, so make sure that you ring the bell.
This was our worst hotel experience ever! The switch plate was broken in our room and the latch was broken in the bathroom. There was black mould growing on the bathroom ceiling and a light bulb dangerously hanging by a wire. The TV was broken too. I will never get near this roach motel ever again!
This is the worst hotel Ive ever booked with. I was met with attitude at the desk first and foremost---hirrible customer service. And after initial reservation was canceled by the property, I had to make 2 additional reservations. When I arrived at the property, I was not allowed to check in due to nonpayment at booking. The booking agent advised me only to show my ID, nurse id and pay taxes on the room at the property. My confirmation email read balance $0.I am a medical first responder and was grateful for the offer of a warm bed after 2 shifts. I believe now that this is may be a scam and that this property has no intention of offering a free stay to ANYONE. Would not recommend this property to anyone.
Decent hotel the rooms are clean and its a decent location... my only issue is when you book on the phone and pay they charge you a $25 housekeeping fee in addition to what youve paid when you booked.. Ive never heard of that Ive stayed here twice and been charged this free. Kinda makes the advertised price seem like bait.
The worst hotel I EVER stayed at!!! Smells like smoke. Rooms was nasty and not cleaned. We stayed for an hour and checked out. Didn’t even bother asking for my money back. Lady upfront was rude and unprofessional. The worst experience ever! DO NOT stay there.

This was the worst experience I have ever had, the tissue was stained, it was mold on the shower curtain, the shower leaked, the towels were dirty, the toilet bowl was stained.. DISGUSTING I called them the next day requesting a refund and I was told I’d get my money back & I still have not.. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DUMP TO ANYONE!!!! The mattress was lumpy. The duvet had stains on it and we had 3 standard pillows on a king bed. There was a roach that had been smashed on the wall in unit 201 and a hole was In the wall

Paid via phone.Once i arrived at the place, they said they dont work with the answering company and that it was fraud.There was a guy ahead of me with the same situation.Based on other reviews I am reading, this whole place seems fraud.Really, the receptionist seemed uninterested in answering our questions to help us figure out why they werent giving us a room after making our reservation.
I would love to say how our stay was. However, our reservation was canceled while we were on our way down. When I tried to call all I got was an automated message. I would still like to know why it was canceled. Extremely aggravating 😡
Scam! Scam ! Scam !!I book room with Expedia for $37, they get me with low price and nice pictures!!!After driving all day get to hotel at 10:40pm and owner of the hotel Indian guy start telling me what my price is change and he doesn’t have rooms for this price and I need pay additional $25 for room! What basically doesn’t make any sense because another hotels around “Baymont Inn” and “Super 8” have cheaper rate for night. Owner is very rude! Stay away!
Garbage hotelBooked/Paid for a room here online and the Gujarat Indian dude at the front desk asks for some cash under the table to get my room. How is this place in business?!! I paid online and they want extra cash when I walk in the door to cover the clerks under the table scam operations. These fraudsters seem to be a dime a dozen these days.In addition to this, they wanted a cash deposit which I doubt would be returned.
Anita is awesome! After a horrible experience with the night manager and the app, we decided to give OYO another try. Anita at the Covington location welcomed us with a smile and apologized for our previous experience. The room is clean and comfortable! Great Job Anita for making a very bad experience great! 5 stars to Anita for excellence service!
It was clean, but they have needs....TV doesnt work. No microwave/coffee maker/ fridge/ chair/ phone service. Bed was shorter then normal. Would not recommend....
CAUTION!!!! Do Not Go Here!! I booked a room here 2 MONTHS in advance, but when I went to check in the rude guy behind the counter said he didnt know how to work the computer and was unable to give us our room! He then refused to refund our money!!
For the most part it was clean but u could tell there was alot of paint to cover old repairs. The sink marble was broken and there wasnt a place to hang any clothes. But loved the marylin monroe picture hanging on the wall
What the room didnt provide in disappointment the service did; lack of cleanliness and no TV subscription service are a close second to the other issues at this place. Save yourself from wasting the money on this place.
Cute rooms, great price. Theres a $100 CASH deposit. As long as you dont damage anything, bring in pets, or smoke, you get it back.
It was a terrible experience. They have roaches and they keep that plastic on the beds and the sheets kept comming off and i couldnt sleep for anything. Then thrn people are very rude here . I would not recommend staying. terrible place .
My only issue is, for some reason, i cant use my oyo money to pay for a room.other than that, my stay was perfect. staff was great. room was clean. hotel was quiet.
I booked a reservation, confirmed the reservation, and then when I showed up at 2:30 am like I told them I would, they had over booked. Even though they had my reservation in their system, they did not have a room for me. Why would you give my room to someone else when I have a reservation!!? So at 2:30am after traveling all day I had to leave and find some other place to stay.
Brand new bed still in plastic clean room great staff.no microwave but further then that felt like i was at a 5 star motel.
Nice rooms, but theres no fridge or microwave and the TV didnt work. Also theres no drink machine.
This hotel is infested with alcoholics and drug dealers on the constant day basis me and my children are here staying and they will not refund me my money back and they will not let me speak to the property manager they also have lead falling off the walls they had dried up blood on the bath towels and the bathroom door is hanging off of the hinges I am disgusted I am unsafe and I am ready to cry because today is my son’s birthday and he is unhappy and scared I would not recommend this for anyone ever in your life please listen
Not worth the value. No microwave or refrigerator. Quite a bit of illegal activities going on. Didnt feel safe at all. Definitely overpriced.
Its clean and affordable for the price.. on the restroom area by the tub there is a little black mole..other than that its clean and free of any bad odors

This hotel does not like to match the rates that you advance on their OYO APP had to get my money refunded twice for the same reason . Needless to say we will not be using this hotel ever again.

Was double booked so paid 60 for the same day and when I cancelled said I could not get a refund at all compensate at all for another day neither letting me just stay in the room anyway because I couldn’t get my money back anyway.

2022-06-10Wow. Just really wow. So I was in town for an interview, so I get there at 11pm. Interview wasnt until the next day at 2pm. So the first room was in had dirty sheets and there were holes in the wall. Second room didnt have a microwave, fridge, and the phone didnt work. Since my interview was not until 2, I was trying to ask for a late check out; thats when I found out the phone didnt work. At the time the phone number was not listed on the website. So I walk to the desk and asked for a late check out for 10.00 at 12 pm. Yes they charge for that. I was then inform that they needed to prepare the room for a reservation. Now check in is not until 3 pm. So Im like wow just really wow.

2021-09-16For $74, I got what I needed. A hot shower and a bed to sleep in. I was in town for a job, this was reasonably close to where I was working. It definitely needs some tlc... but the lady put me in a room closer to the office, since I was a single female in the room. The water was nice and hot. The mattress had a protective cover and I saw no signs of any pests. The room was clean, except around the toilet, and there was some wear and tear around the room. But, again, for $74 (taxes, fees, everything) it was worth it.

2021-09-25I want to give this place a zero starts. I was here with my daughter and we slept fully clothed with shoes and the dresser against the door. It was absolutely disgusting. Hand prints on the bathroom walls. No fitted sheet on the bed. Roaches in the floor. Dirty sheets. Words written on the door. The latch broken on the door. The only reason we stayed was there were zero other options beyond sleeping in the car. Do NOT recommend.

2021-05-01It asked how my stay was? Well it would have been great, Im sure, had we actually got to stay at the hotel. My fiance, his father, my little sister, and myself booked a room two weeks in advance for the hazard county reunion weekend. I called about 830 am the morning of our reservation to let them know we may not be there until 1030 due to my fiance having to work later than planned. To which I got no answer from the front desk after ringing for 15 minutes. Well I let it go and figured everything would be fine since we reserved the room with two weeks advanced. So on the 5 hour drive we went. We got to the hotel Ready to check in, lobby smelling like marijuana or something along those lines, for the man at the front to tell us we couldnt because he couldnt take payment for the room. He said we needed to pay online. I thought this was off, but okay whatever we just drove 5 hours so Ill do what I needed to do so we could get into our room. Well when it wouldnt let us pay online he said we could then pay with card in office. My fiance was fine with that so he hands the man his ID and card. Then he says he cant rent him the room because he is under 21 (his ID is turned up and down due to renewing when he was still 20). He ensured him he is 23 and the man proceeded to tell him because his ID is not turned sideways he cant have the room. So at this point I am FUMING Honestly the man is lucky I didnt feel to sell or I would have honestly really hurt his feelings. We went across the street to the Super 8 hotel where they were more than willing to let us have a room and literally saved the day.

2021-05-05Terrible service, bad bed, room not clean, no towels, drunk next door with his beer cans and cat food in the parking lot. The guy at check-in was not helpful and he charged my credit card for a full night after I had already paid and booked on Hotels.com. I am still trying to get my money. Girl in the morning looks like she was woke up. They should have a drop off for keys if they do not have someone there 24/7. Felt unsafe in the area. DO NOT STAY HERE!! Keep going!! This is the worst hotel I have stayed in and we travel quite a bit!! Again, save your money! Sleep in the car it will be more comfortable!! Beds are lumpy!

2021-03-17We were suppose to stay at the hotel across the road from this one but they were under renovation. Showed up and was directed to go to this one by a paper on the door. I was told they needed a $50 deposit that I would get refunded back to me when I checked out but never received it. I emailed them and never heard anything back. Other than that,the rooms were great.

2021-04-22The room was nasty, the manager was hateful and very unprofessional. First night checked in fine. The next morning went to front desk to ask for clean towels and confirm that nights reservations and she told us she didnt honor oyo reservations and kicked us out of our room at 7am because we checked in the night before on a reservation. We did get the second days reservation payment back but I wouldnt ever stay there or recommend this place. The manager seemed like she just didnt want anyone to stay there.

2021-03-31This place don’t even deserve a star. We took a last minute trip to mystic falls. So our options was limited on hotels so I was like hey let’s get this one. Well after we found out how stained our sheets were and my daughters started itching too. The shower curtain was moldy and my youngest started crying and saying she rather sleep in the car in stay at the hotel. And my other daughter was having a panic attack bc of it. DO NOT EVER STAY AT this HOTEL. Especially if u have kids. Very sketchy. Tried to get a refund but u only get a 30 mins to get it bk. So if u do ever end up in that trap hotel, make sure u make it there before the 30 mins is up. I rather pay extra 100$ for a clean place to sleep and piece of mind.

2021-06-21OYO App is not accepted at this location after paid reservation. Very rude lady at this location. First time at a OYO hotel. Warning seem like trying to SCAM customer out your money. I contacted my Bank for fraud. 0 stars horrible first impressions. I travel allot. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!! (Use Super 8 only in Covington, GA)

2021-02-07If I could give negative stars I would. This place is awful. Stained sheets, the bed frames were even stained, the floors hadn’t been swept in weeks, the bathroom walls looked as if someone had smeared feces on them, they took the phone out of the room so I couldn’t call to the front desk, and the fire alarm needed a new battery so it beeped NON-STOP. When I left a review with Expedia, the manager got an attitude and said that housekeeping would be up to change the sheets. Twenty four hours later, they show up. When I contacted customer service, I get the run around and eventually they start begging me to give them a chance and to continue to stay. NO. I left early and had to end my vacation because they ruined the experience for my sister and I. But the best part, when I checked out, the manager literally ran away from the front desk. Rude, disrespectful, atrocious, and the audacity of this company and their employees. NEVER AGAIN.
