Lovely atmosphere, phenomenal service (Cole was exceptional!) and the drinks were delightful! That being said… I will never forget the look of utter shock and dismay on my very hungry husband’s face at his lobster ravioli… some dishes have larger portions than others, be mindful of that when ordering! The chicken cannelloni was delicious and the perfect size!
Great food, friendly service, nice atmosphere. Wonderful. I really liked it! Were from Denver. . . and stuck in Atlanta (one of my favorite places!) because of a Southwest screw up, and took advantage of being here by staying close to downtown. Go eat here! It is friendly and very good food!
Had 9:00pm reservations, was seated fast and food was served very fast so I gave them 2 stars. But this place is very cramped. your arms length to another table/couple. Tables are small, Service was non consistent, and the food wasnt good at all. Would not recommend to couples if your looking for something romantic. Food was false advertised the menu makes it sound delicious but the plate comes out completely different. I ordered Lobster Ravioli in Champagne Sauce. it taste like ravioli in water. This place needs to do better. I will not be returning but thanks for the experience.
Went here on a date night with my boyfriend and it was so pleasant. Love the cozy romantic vibe of the interior. I ordered the bolognese and it was so good! He ordered the chicken cannelloni and they were amazing, I could’ve ate 3 plates of them. Definitely planning on coming back soon
We had a lovely weeknight meal with salads, two pasta dishes and a bottle of wine at very reasonable price of @$100 before tip. Service was friendly, well timed and the outdoor patio was shaded & cool - a relief after a very hot and humid day. On the food, we were happily surprised by the buckwheat tagliatelli with shaved, roasted garlic, sautéed greens and pine nuts. It was delicious. We also shared the linguini with a light (non-dairy) tomato sauce that was simple and devine. Bread and green salad were freshly made and served. For dessert we shared peach sotbet, served in a frozen carved out peach. A great finish to a fine meal with expresso to top it off. A new favorite to add to our neighborhood rotation.
Best Italian in Atlanta. I love this place. I loved it when the first owners ran it and they left it in great hands. The Chef has been there since day one and he stays true to all the original recipes. My favorite and what I come all the way from Snellville for is the Rapini. Add a lil goat cheese and it takes me back to 2005. Now, I visit with my children and they love it as well.
My husband and I went to this place on a whim and I’m so glad we did. It’s in a super fun part of midtown and I knew we’d chosen a great place when we immediately met a regular at the bar. (Always go where the locals go and if they don’t have a regular that all the staff knows, it ain’t good.) We sat at the bar because it was a busy Friday night and didn’t want to wait on a table. Lenae, the bartender, took good care of us and gave us all the wine and sass. The food was fantastic and the service was top notch. The hostess, which is usually a thankless job, went above and beyond for some people there and I doubt they even knew it. We’ll definitely be back.
Food definitely sub par compared to what it was - flavor was missing but quality and presenation is still good. Very small portions compared to what Americans are used too so order alot and ask the wait staff for guidance. Nice ambiance in a house - tables are close together so if you like space make sure to ask. The inside is cozy with a warm family feel. There is also a great patio and seating at the bar. There is a small bar with a few seats, which was great, but the patio seems like a good choice.
The best place Ive eaten so far in Atlanta. We got the bolognese and the eggplant ravioli and it was impeccable and rich with flavor and complexity. The cheesecake of the evening was the amaretto and it too did not disappoint. The atmosphere and ambiance is on point. I highly recommend: 10/10
Excellent atmosphere and service. I had the Spinach Tagliatelle with bolognese (tagliatelle verdi). Wasnt blown away. It has a good flavor, but the sauce is watery, and when combined with flat noodles like tagliatelle, it makes for a lot of splashing. The crispy ravioli appetizer was really great, no complaint there.
My husband and I went to this restaurant for a date night. We are not hard to please and were very excited to try something new. Our experience walking in was very welcoming as the hostess was very pleasant. We were offered a seat at the bar while waiting for our table by another guest who offered to move over for us to have a seat. One of the bartenders (Asian female) told the other guest do not move. This was offensive and unwelcoming. Moving forward our server chris was amazing And really did an amazing job at explaining the menu and drinks. I had the linguine with shrimp. The shrimp was great The linguine was hard.
The only saving grace was our server and the outside seating. The bread basket was tasteless and we had to ask for salt, pepper and seasoning for every dish we ordered. The pasta was terrible and more than Al dente chewy, the chicken was uncooked and everything was cold. We were so excited to try based on all the hype, don’t waste your time on sauce that can be made at home.
Ate here last week with a few friends expecting good service and delicious pasta but was extremely disappointed. The service was subpar and our server spoke to us in a condescending tone I really did not appreciate. Beyond that our food came out cold after we waited what seemed like forever. If you’re going to ignore our table and treat us disrespectfully, at least make sure the food was cooked properly.
My first experience in this restaurant. The waitress spilled the wine all over my shirt and he didnt care about it at all.Food quality is very average, and I believe for the money that you pay with so many different hidden fees that they add it wont be in my top 50 in Atlanta. The kitchen stops serving all the sides almost 2 hours before they close the restaurant. I asked for extra bread and they said they cant provide it.The waitress even didnt ask how to write checks and he just got one check for the whole table. So many things are very unprofessional.
Very charming little treasure of a restaurant in Midtown ATL. All the staff are upbeat and seem genuinely happy to have you there. Our server Kayla was particularly kind and helpful. Wont break your budget either, and the portion sizes are perfect: not too big, not too small.
Food is amazing, definitely worth it. The tortellini de mele was unique and a crowd favorite. Cant wait to go back!Just a note, it may have just been the night we went but the parking deck they have parking validation for was not printing tickets. Plan accordingly if you have reservations!
Hmmm. Lets start with my son made the reservation because he had great food there. Thats where it ends. Server was nice. The calamari was cooked to perfection but The rest of the food had potential but definitely wasnt fresh. My pasta and bolognese was luke warm. Ive never had fresh pasta at any Italian restaurant come out not hot. My wife had lobster ravioli which she said was delicious but 2 of the ravioli was clearly older than the others i.e. overcooked. My sons pasta was great but cold. The place was packed but when i went to the bathroom and when i looked in the kitchen i seen a lot of people working but also a lot of dishes lined up in order. It was definitely precooked sitting under heat lamps. I would almost feel like the two raviolis on my wife plate might have come from another dead plate and they just spread them out on other plates instead of throwing them out. Also bathrooms were horrible. Will never go back. It seemed like people were liking their choice to go there but Im not a fan of mass produced Italian food. Italian is supposed to feel like nona and this felt like nainai......... cheap people.
I really wanted to love this place. It is steps from my home. The service was great, the bartender took care of me at a table and the beverages were good. But the food was just so so. My tagliatelle bolognese was not great. Let’s begin with it being cool. The pasta was precooked so they threw it in a bowl and poured their Luke warm bolognese on top. The bread - ciabatta? - was warmer than the pasta. Everything else; the peroni, the crème brûlée, the espresso were fine but you gotta make an effort on your main course. I’m going back to make sure it wasn’t an off night but come on folks, gotta do better than that
My daughter and her friend went to this place for prom. They were given a limited menu with no prices. The special deal they received was supposed to be $25 a person but when the bill came out was much more than that. It ended up being $45 a person. Dont scam kids because you think you can. Shame on you!
Phenomenal dinner! We were visiting ATL and staying in a hotel nearby and found Pasta Da Pulcinella. What a gem! SO many things on the menu sounded great. Ordered Tortelli di Mele (ravioli filled with Granny Smith apple, sausage, and parmigiano, are topped with browned butter and sage) which was AMAZING! Great menu and exceedingly fair prices for food of such great quality. Anytime were in ATL, well be back here. Wow!
I sat at the bar solo (SUPER handy that you can make bar seat reservations!) on a pretty busy Saturday night. Linne was behind the bar and she was absolutely lovely. The asparagus was some of the best Ive had, and I had the spinach gnocchi (great, but I would have loved just a little bit heavier sauce) with a couple great white wine selections as well. I live in the neighborhood but hadnt been here yet, and Ill certainly be back soon! Thanks Linne for the GREAT service and conversation!
This was mine and my wifes first visit here. We read some reviews that said the staff takes a long time with things but that wasnt true for us. It was actually the opposite. We had to be at a play at the Fox and only had 1 hour and it took 45 minutes total at the restaurant. Obviously you can take your time if you want but we needed to be quick. Dont feel weird getting the servers attention, its a small place but there are two sides to the restaurant so if you need something you need to get the server then put it could be a few minutes before you see them again. The food was awesome! We had the ravioli with Granny Smith apples and sausage with a sage and brown butter sauce as well as the lobster ravioli with a white wine cream sauce. Both were so delicious! Highly recommend. We also got the calamari which had this salsa your sauce with it, also delicious! One menu with two sides. One is the original menu from 1994 thats what we ordered from. The other side changes every two weeks and it had some delicious options as well. Im sure they keep it pretty fresh. Overall our experience was excellent and I definitely recommend this place. Prices are mid range salad $5-$7, antipasti $7-$10, main course $15-$30.
So, I love Italian food. I could eat pasta every single day and I do eat pasta at least once a week. My boyfriend, now husband, is the date and trip planner in our relationship and decided to surprise me with dinner reservations to this restaurant back in 2014. I fell asleep and missed it 😅 but thankfully they allowed us to reschedule for the next day and weve turned it into our Valentines tradition. We get all dressed up, book a room in the city, and enjoy a great Valentines dinner every single year since 2014. Pasta Da Pulcinella is small and intimate, which is why we like it, and every year the staff and the food is amazing. They change their menu regularly and they have a preset Valentines menu, but I hope they keep bringing back the Cremini Mushroom Soup because thats our favorite 🤤 we were concerned how they were going to manage with covid, but it was great. They turned their front patio into a waiting area with outdoor heaters and firepits and their staff was as attentive and friendly as ever. Cant wait to go back next year!
I needed an early dinner and found this place on open table which I had never tried. Large number of reviews and high marks on Open Table so I made a reservation and went with my son. Cute porch and dining room tucked away in midtown. Parking is non-existent as others said. Moxy with validation was $6. Service was good and accommodating. My son and I split 2 pastas and they plated them separately which was great and staggered the delivery. Unfortunately the pasta dishes were only marginal. I could easily name 3 other restaurants where the pasta bolognase is much better. The house special past a with apples was interesting and good but nothing I would rush back for again (pictured half serving) The ceasar salad was very ordinary and too strong on the dressing. Probably wont return.
I love italian food but have high expectations from growing up with an italian grandmother and mother, and not the New York kind but from northern Italy. This place is legit. I dined by myself as I was on a cross country road trip. The place was busy but they were able to squeeze me in without a reservation in the middle of dinner rush. The service was good, but the food was amazing.I started with the house salad (Pulcinella salad) which was just a mix of lettuce with oil and vinegar, but being simple let the ingredients take the spotlight. The greens were fresh, light, and crunchy and the dressing was perfectly balanced with a touch of black pepper to add a subtle nuttiness. My main course was the chicken cannelloni. A word on real cannelloni which my mother and grandmother have made for special occasions many times growing up. This is not a pasta dish. This dish is uncommon on restaurant menus and the few times Ive come across it in my travels, it is often wrongly made with pasta dough, almost like a stuffed manicotti. Instead, cannelloni should be made with a light and fluffy savory crepe. This is how the menu described it at Pulcinella so I was excited to give it a try. Im sure glad I did. It was excellent and well prepared, served with a red and white sauce. The red sauce was great but the white sauce, made of mushrooms and gorgonzola, was incredible! I could easily have devoured this by the spoonful! My only complaint is that I dont live anywhere near Atlanta so I may not be able to enjoy this restaurant again. For those lucky enough that do, or are there to visit, I strongly recommend this dish. I cant speak to the other things on the menu but I can only imagine they too are amazing!
This is a great italian restaurant for a romantic lunch or dinner. Weather permitting, seat outside before the building in front in completed, the vie is spectacular. Food portions are good and service is better. Go and chackeit for yourself. Parking is validated and you only pay $6 instead of $16. Lobster Tail Risotto is a must.
This was our first time at this restaurant. Simply quaint, ambiance was cozy, and food was delicious. We made reservations for a Sat night. Slightly crowded with limited walk around room. The rose was at the table as requested and we enjoyed a great wine selection with our meal.
My husband surprised me and took me to this restaurant for Valentines day. The mood is intimate and romantic. Dim lighting and music playing softly in the background. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the dishes served. I will add that some of the seating is too close to each other and can be awkward and uncomfortable with other patrons.
Honestly, not sure what it is lately but, I’m not impressed with the food in Atlanta. I’ve been a resident for years now and I guess it’s just hard to find great Italian food here in general. Wine selection was good, the ambiance was intimate and comfortable but surprisingly for a place that takes reservations, people were dressed like it was a pizza joint. It definitely had the home-style feel. The bread was average and didn’t taste fresh baked. Caesar salad was delicious. For my entrée I order cheese tortellini and chicken. The tortellini was undercooked and the cheese was firm. The chicken texture seemed liked it was prepackaged and I kind of liked the sauce but the flavor overall was lackluster. The shredded parm and crushed red pepper was recommended to top it off, which helped but, overall it was borderline underwhelming. The server Chris was on top of his game. Good service and that’s rare these days, especially in Atlanta.
Love their food, but that’s about the only good thing about the place. I’ve been coming here for about a year. They have odd hours, they’re seldom open, and they don’t answer the phone for reservations or take away orders. Kinda had my fill with this place tonight. I called in to place a roughly $75 take away order and instead of asking what I wanted they asked “How many entrees” as if the food were being rationed. They then put me on hold. When they came back they said they can’t accommodate to go orders, only dine in because of food prep space. Mind you I’ve ordered take away previously and never had a problem. Makes no sense to me, but hey if you’re looking for an Italian fix Pastifico has great quality and they’re right down the road. Think I’ll just go there from now on.
What a great treat for our anniversary! Isabelle was fantastic, patient, and made great recommendations. It was a bit warmer than we like but we had a window seat upfront and view made up for it. Their specialty is ravioli so I had the mushroom ravioli and it was devine. Added this to our favorites list and plan to come back in Fall and enjoy the outside seating area. 😍
Our 2nd visit in 6 weeks. Entrees were good, although we agreed my partners eggplant ravioli was better than my somewhat bland tagliatelle verde. Place was packed, but our very good server got us in and out before showtime at the Alliance. Our one suggestion: the bruschetta toppings were ice cold - right out of the fridge cold, as was the goat cheese. These would be SO much better at room temp. The bread for these was way to hard, as well, making it difficult to eat them. All that said, we like this little place and will return.
What a great restaurant! We shared the Tortelli di Mele from the regular menu as an appetizer and then ordered our main meals from the specials side of the menu. The Tortelli di Mele is the best savory-sweet combo I’ve ever had. I ordered a salmon fettuccine with a spicy vodka cream sauce that was out of this world.Food here is exceptional, atmosphere - elegantly homelike. Service is warm and professional. The chef has been at the helm for over 20 years putting out fresh pasta and amazing dishes. One side of the menu remains the same and the other has specials which change twice weekly. It’s not a huge place so you want to make a reservation, especially for dinner.
Went here for prom and had a nice time with my date. The restaurant was packed and noisy on the inside so my date and I opt to eat outside even though it was a but chilly especially sitting in a prom date. Also one of the hostess tried to get us to order from a prom menu which was $30 per person instead of ordering from the original menu which originally attracted to the restaurant.Overall the scenery outside was nice and our waiter was very helpful.
Scrumptious Italian food. From the excellent quality salads to the al dente pasta to the vanilla bean creme brulee the food was perfect. The service was attentive and polite. Having converted an old house into a restaurant made for a lovely setting as well. Reservations seem like a good idea given that every table was filled when we were there.
Our food was fantastic. The service was excellent! The place was PACKED, but it didnt feel like our food took a long time, and was definitely fresh. Our server was the bartender as well, but was very attentive and we disnt feel ignored. My only complaint was it was very dark, but Ill definitely be back!
All around great evening. We went for dinner and had made reservations a few days in advance. We were sat by the window and our waiter, Kayo, was nothing short of fantastic. We had the house signature dish and scallops. Both delicious. The asparagus prosciutto app and creme brûlée were very good too.
Waking up the restaurant was a treat. The lights, the beautiful tree and the weather made it a perfect night to be outside. In the pictures are the lobster ravioli and cheese tortellini were excellent. We shared two bottles of wine at the table for six and shared apps of bruschetta, Caprese Salad and the Tortelli de Mele. That was the best.
Went here last night for an early V-day dinner. The ambiance was nice inside and outside. The food was good too! Outside has nice soft white lights with the fire going and inside gives you that cozy feeling with dim romantic lighting. I had the chicken ravioli which was covered in a spicy cream sauce, yum and my wife had the gnocchi with chicken and shrimp in an oil base sauce. Sorry no pics but trust me you’ll enjoy those dishes!!
One of my go to places when visiting Atlanta. Their pasta has usually been well made, fresh, and flavorful. Today I chose a non pasta dish, pork milanesa. Unfortunately, It was a tad over cooked and served with over-salted broccoli rabe, overall it was still enjoyable. My recommendation would be to select from what they do best, pasta.
This is my go-to Italian restaurant in Midtown. The service beats almost all places you go to in Atlanta, the food is incredible (highly recommend the Chefs Special tortellini), and the ambiance makes more for a great date spot or small group outing. My parents love coming here when they visit me!
Place was cute and homey, and the staff were quick and attentive. The best though came in 15 minutes time,,,PIZZA!!! Talk of moist, cheesy and tasty. We ordered a large and after 2 slices each we were stuffed and in heaven. Would definitely eat here again and bring some friends.
Loved this place! We were visiting Atlanta from Knoxville and stumbled upon this place on a whim. The host with the awesome pink hair was extremely kind and was able to fit us in at the bar even though we didn’t have a reservation on a Friday night. Linne took care of us and made sure we had an amazing experience when we were already impressed by the food alone. We definitely plan to return in the future! Thank you for making the last night of our vacation extra special.
I was craving pasta so I checked out this spot. Our waiter was the host and the waiter at the same time so he kept forgetting to bring items to our table. The food came out it looked delicious, but when I started to eat the food it was cold. I asked can it be reheated and the waiter told me that the kitchen was closed for the night. It was only 915 and they close at 10. He asked us if we wanted him to just take it off the bill because he couldn’t reheat the dish and said he didn’t have a microwave. My mouth dropped. We were still hungry at this point so we asked again can it be reheated. He went back asked the chef a second time and this time they were able to warm it up. After that whole ordeal we left extremely disappointed because the food was good, but the customer service was very very poor. We also felt rushed from start to finish.
Always wonderful even though I only go one every year or so. The staff is amazing as are the meals. The tortelli de mele is my favorite dish there by far. This is definitely a place you want to go if you would like to have a nice dinner with friends or your significant other. The cost is well within the range of a chain sit down restaurant but the taste, service, and atmosphere is leagues greater.
Absolutely excellent in every manner! The decor and atmosphere was relaxed yet upscale. The food was flavorful and plated beautifully. Despite the small, one-page menu, there was adequate variety for different tastes and diets - important since my girlfriend is a vegetarian. I will definitely return whenever I am in town.
I first need to shout out Cole. He was such an amazing waiter. He made us laugh every time he came by the table and really made us feel at home. We sat on the patio and it was a little wet and cold. He saw our discomfort and brought us under the covering and closer to a heater. The hostess also helped with the switched and was very kind. The food was delicious! We had the asparagus appetizer, mushroom ravioli and fettuccine, creme brûlée and cannoli. I’m drooling while writing, it’s now my guilty pleasure. The patio is also very romantic. We went right at dusk and got to enjoy the lit trees and the fire pit. The covered portion of the patio was also very cozy and intimate. We will definitely be coming back, and asking for Cole.
Went here for Valentine’s Dinner last night. Reserved a table online and had no idea there was a limited menu. 70$ per person, which includes appetizer, main and dessert. Mind you there was only one dish with pasta (risotto!) on the menu! How??I don’t write reviews often. I also love to support small businesses and I understand how tough it is, especially right now. Also, we live in Brooklyn. We looooove great Italian food. We have been to Italy many times as well. We cook Italian food at home and have had amazing REAL Italian food many times.POSITIVE: cute place, romantic vibe and dessert was tasty. Their wine selection is ok. Not much Italian wine, actually. Couple of options. Our server was really nice and he tried the best he could. He checked on us, he was friendly and sweet.NEGATIVE: absolutely the WORST Italian food I have ever had in my life. Like I actually said: “oh my god, no” when they brought out lobster tail with risotto. It was so bad. Presentation was awful, there was no flavor at all, lobster was over cooked too.My ravioli, which is what they’re famous for were just ok. It’s was just basic and the meat in there was over cooked and under seasoned. The appetizers were just horrible! Really really bad. And I never ever wrote such words in any reviews in my life. I just had to share this time. The arugula salad with pine nuts and goat cheese was basically just thrown on the plate. And they forgot the pine nuts!!! Also how can you serve Italian food with pine nuts and not even toast them! The size of the salad was TINY! Like really really small and it was dry! No seasoning, no balsamic vinegar, barely any oil. The stuffed mushroom was almost ok...but it was served cold, and had too much balsamic and just not enough flavor. Just bad, honestly. The presentation was awful. Food was just thrown on the plate. I wish we took photos. We were just shocked and didn’t think of this. The couple next to us had the same experience and was completely disappointed. They were shocked. To top is off this meal cost us 220$!!!! It was so bad we were laughing in disbelief. 😭😭I think a lot of reviews are paid for here. Because no way all of the elite/star accounts are truly enjoying these meals.
The pasta raviolis are sincerely the bomb.com. I was very impressed by just how incredible the food tasted here. The ambiance along with the unexplained entertainment we had at our table. Lol. All in all the service as well as the experience here is well worth it. I hope everyone else enjoys their time we so did for our 1 Year Anniversary.
Came to eat Italian pasta and reviewed that this place was the best around. When I got there we was welcome just fine and welcoming, but after that everything went down hill. We didnt knew who was our servicer. Thought it was one guy but it wasnt and the host was basically running the whole service line with no help. I had to ask for the utensils to be bring when the appetizer was given. Mind you the food was good and had a great flavor. When it came down to the entrées my food was cold. When I waited for the servicer that I thought was our servicer that if there was any possible way to heat up the food cause it was cold. He went to the kitchen and the chef told him that the grill was off and that he cant. Mind you I just got the plate. The servicer told me that if I still wanted the plate and I was like really. He asked the chef again and the chef can now heat up my food. When I got the reheated plate everything else was good. But overall experiences is that it felt rushed and they was closing down still having an hour left of service.
Youd hardly know it was a restaurant driving by but this cozy Italian spot is a gem among Midtown. The white table cloth services with a stellar wine list comes at an affordable price with lots of deliciousness.Bolognese is a personal favorite but they have a constant rotating special menu and you can find some fantastic dishes there.Dont expect to take much home, the portions are more reasonable compared to some other Italian restaurants but that is likely what helps keep must of the dishes is the high teens, low twenties on price.
5star service and food - perfect for my birthday! - the pasta was fresh, different menu than the standard, good prices, service was on point - filling my glass and removing my dishes quickly. They said theyve had the same chef for over 20+ years. Parking all around available but it will be a short walk. I am usually not a sweet with savory person and did not want to try the dish with apples and sausage BUT its their signature dish and did not disappoint. I would get it again. Everyone tried a different dish and all were pleased. We had the creme brulee and layered chocolate cake for dessert and they were good as well.
The place is adorable... however is extremely overprice. For one thing my food (classic linguini with mixed vegetables in a garlic sauce) was honestly bad. $18 for a plate that the vegetables were undercooked and the sauce was extremely liquid and didnt even had a subtle hint of garlic. It was just bad. The portions are small too for the price. Maybe it was what I order but I dont recommend this place at all.
Lots of people love this place. The pasta is fresh and its cute & quaint. Lovely outdoor seating (although, right now there is a lot of construction across the street). The wait staff is always friendly.only 4 stars because Ive just never loved a meal here. Its good, not great.
Horrible food. Ordered Risotto which is 26 dollars. Is very thin, not creamy at all. No taste at all. My wife ordered pasta and sauce tasted like out of a bottle and pasta was tough. We felt we do better at home though we are not chefs. Waiters were not wearing gloves which is required for food service employee.
Im in Atlanta for business several times a year, and we always make a reservation for Pasta Da Pulcinella every trip. The food is delicious, the staff is super friendly and welcoming, and the wine list is great. Theyre really accommodating for gluten free or celiac diets like mine, with gluten free pasta substitutes for many of the dishes on the menu. The risottos are also great, thats usually my go to when Im there. The restaurant can be a bit crowded for dinner so make sure you plan ahead with a reservation, especially for larger groups.
Nice little Italian place in the heart of midtown. Had reservations for party of 6 on a crazy busy Sat. night. Service was good and apps (calamari and fried ravioli) and entrees were enjoyed by all. I believe the pasta is made fresh. they have a nice, small outdoor seating area that I want to try next time. $300 plus tip including drinks. This is a nice, non-corporate place to eat. Decent value.
I ordered ravioli and it was the smallest portion I have ever seen on an Italian restaurant. I counted them and there where 10 ravioli, the plate was almost $20 so that means nearly $2 per ravioli. They tasted good but extremely expensive for what you get. I will not be returning.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta! The food is great, the staff is top notch and the atmosphere is perfect. I love that its in an old house! The front deck is great when the weather is nice. I really like the pumpkin ravioli. The lobster ravioli is great too!
What a fun experience!! Cozy atmosphere and fabulous food (we tried the caprese, the prosciutto wrapped pears, the ravioli de mele house special, the chicken crepe dish, tiramisu, and creme brûlée). Everything was delicious and beautifully presented! Five star service by Cole, who also offered excellent recommendations. Can’t wait to come back!
I was excited to find this place. Seemed like the perfect ambiance and a great menu. Service was good, nice glass of wine, but I started having doubts about authenticity (not amazing food, ice in the water, trying to take my plate before I was done). The kicker was, as I was leaving, with four or five tables still in lively conversation, they shut off the music at 9:59 because they were closing at 10. Like a dive bar at closing time...
Beautiful outdoor seating area with food to compliment it. We received excellent service for a quality dinner. I chose the special risotto while my partner got the house specialty ravioli - you may be a little nervous about mixing Granny Smith apple and sausage, but dont be - its well worth the risk.Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this for any date night or celebration.
Our experience could not have been much better. We just moved from NYC, and this spot is on par with any of the similar restaurants there. It was incredible value for very high quality food. The ambiance was fantastic as well. We will be adding this to our regular rotation.
My husband, myself and another couple had the pleasure of dining at Pasta Da Pulcinella Friday night. The restaurant itself is quaint and intimate with indoor and outdoor seating. The food was outstanding! We ordered two appetizers for the table, salads and our main courses. Each course perfect! I had the Chicken Cannelloni, which comes with two sauces - a mushroom sauce on one half, and a marinara sauce on the other. It was fantastic! Our Server, Hannah, added to our overall experience. She was very knowledgeable of the restaurant itself, helped us with our wine selection, and gave praise to the Chef while she explained some of the choices. She had an ability to be there for our needs without us even realizing she was there - pouring our wine, refilling our water glasses, never interrupting our conversation. This was dinner before going to the Fox. We all agreed Pasta Da Pulcinella will become our place to eat everytime we see a show! We all highly recommend it!
I’m visiting Atlanta for work and this restaurant was close to my hotel. I enjoyed a glass of wine and entree for under $40.00. The restaurant was busy for a Tuesday night, KO was my server. He was very nice and suggested a lot of meals that I would enjoy but I went with the classic Lobster Ravioli with cream sauce. It was slightly bitter for my taste.
Great food. I can tell they put a lot of heart and care into every dish. I can taste the difference in the ingredients being super fresh (especially the tomatoes!), therefore, I dont mind the price. Im usually not a fan of raviolis but Im in love with the mushroom ravioli.
One of my favorite ATL spots for Italian food. I love the cozy interior, it’s perfect for date night. The staff is super friendly and always have great wine recommendations, and their food never disappoints. Highly recommend getting a reservation to go here because they do get quite busy.
What a perfect little Italian place!!! Its a small nice atmosphere. Parking is a nightmare heads up and I highly recommend reservations. The menu is great lots of good options. The bread is so soft and light. I ordered the Ceasar salad to start with and man was it such a great salad perfectly dressed and fresh. I ordered the shrimp and scallop fettuccine alfredo and had to send it back it was so bland and sauce was just not good at all so I order the Lobsters ravioli instead and OH BOY knock your socks off yummy and perfect!!! The wine selection is great and they have a great selection of cocktails. I will definitely go back for sure.
My favorite pasta in Atlanta. Id say their gnocchi remind me of my grandmas but theirs are actually better. Yes, the portions are small for the prices, but they are consistently delicious. The wait staff are attentive and more than willing to take something back if its not up to your taste preferences. I go here on special occasions and leave feeling that way.FYI: its one of the few places that actually use ladyfingers soaked in espresso for their tiramisu as God intended, so if youre like me and love it, dont miss out.
A good deal of veg options for us pure vegetarians. The waiter Mr. Kayo was really welcoming and helpful in choosing the food and wine. I would anytime give this place a 4+ rating. Incredible food, service and quiet ambience. We loved it. An awesome date night experience!
Not as good as I expected... the service was decent and the dessert was excellent, but the appetizers and entrees we ordered were only so-so. I expected the Gorgonzola goat cheese truffles to taste like Gorgonzola, the caprese to have some delicious high-quality balsamic, and the pesto cream sauce to be creamy. I was disappointed on all fronts. Atmosphere-wise it seemed a little cramped; our table was squeezed into a curtained-off space that felt a bit claustrophobic, and the table itself was tiny. We had a hard time fitting our disappointing appetizers with all the other stuff on the table.
Wow! This place is very nice and cozy inside. The service was super! Isabella was very attentive and gave excellent suggestions. I had the chicken cannelloni without mushrooms (per my request). I requested a side of champagne sauce to drizzle on top and ended up dipping the fresh slided bread in it. I followed up with Tiramisu for dessert that was heavenly and so light. Ill be back the next time Im in town.
Easily one of the worst meals Ive had in years. I would legitimately recommend Olive Garden over this restaurant. Everyones dishes at our table were completely under salted except for mine which was way over salted. My ravioli was completely dry, and presentation was non-existent. Everything was twice the price it should have been. It was 80 degrees inside. I cannot advise against this restaurant more.
Went here for my anniversary with my fiance, the food was very delicious and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Fine dining feel mixed with a cozy at home vibe. The waitress that we had was super nice and made the night even better with her detailed descriptions of the meals and superb service. I definitely recommend this place.
If I’d had the time to enjoy my food, perhaps I would know if it tasted better. We were rushed from the moment we sat down to order. Some of our plates were even taken away before we were finished. And when we told them we were still eating and asked if we could keep our plate, the response was a huffed, “of course”. It was pretty infuriating. When I go to a nice restaurant, I like to take my time and enjoy the food and the ambience. Take it all in. Not here.
Love this place! Delicious home made pasta and other Italian dishes. I did not see basic, traditional pasta dishes on the menu, but they have a good variety of interesting pasta, meat and fish options. Although this place is probably more suited to intimate dinners I was with a group of 6 and it was perfect for us. Everyone was extremly satisfied and thought the food was outstanding. Good wine list too. This place is a little upscale, but not at all stuffy. Great ambiance in a tiny house set in the middle of downtown Atlanta.
Hands down this is my favorite restaurant. I have been multiple times including Valentines Day, where I had the most delightful service as well as night. The staff is always accommodating, and the mood in the restaurant is unlike any other in the city. The homemade pastas are the best in the city, and their signature dish is a must try. If youre considering a date, elegant night with the family, or dinner celebration this is the place to book. You will always have a wonderful experience at Pasta da Pulcinella no matter when you go.
They had way too many tables booked for their capabilities. The loin chop was dry and the presentation was akin to a child loading their plate at Golden Corral. The tiramisu and red velvet cake tasted like they had been in the freezer for quite some time. Our server did an excellent job as well as the rest of the staff. Shame on you Chef, you misrepresented and overbooked you’re restaurant on a night for special occasions.
Servers are extremely professional and know the menu/wine list inside and out. Food was delicious, especially all of the appetizers. The same chef has been working here for ages and has perfected all of the menu items. Also, the prices are very reasonable. Will definitely be going back.
We went for my daughters college graduation on Monday, May 13th. Although Id made reservations for 4 well in advance we were stuck in a really little table near the kitchen. Our server, John, was very attentive and courteous, but when I asked if we could get a taste of the Game of Thrones chardonnay, he understood we wanted a bottle. I told him we meant to have just a glass each after checking if we did like it, but he restated he understood we wanted a bottle, so we were kind of forced to keep the bottle. The food itself was all delicious! We were all very pleased. We had another problem since we parked at the Moxy parking lot. Although our ticket was validated, our check at the restaurant took a long time to arrive and be processed, so we exceeded 2 hours and had to pay $10 for parking. I contemplated returning to question about the 2 hours, but decided it wasnt worth the effort. Be careful with your timing because the parking does NOT give you any discounts if you go over 2 hours... you need to pay FULL PRICE.Pretty good experience despite the issues.
5star service and food - perfect for my birthday! - the pasta was fresh, different menu than the standard, good prices, service was on point - filling my glass and removing my dishes quickly. They said theyve had the same chef for over 20+ years. Parking all around available but it will be a short walk. I am usually not a sweet with savory person and did not want to try the dish (Tortelli di Mele) with apples and sausage BUT its their signature dish and did not disappoint. I would get it again. Everyone tried a different dish and all were pleased. We had the creme brulee and layered chocolate cake for dessert and they were good as well.
The food was good but our waiter made it an unpleasant experience. The waiter acted as if he didnt have the time of day to deal with us, and he was very curt on the few occasions he bothered to check on us. I asked him if he could explain a little bit about a dish on the menu and he said I dont know. The worst thing was that I was given a glass with lipstick smudges all over the rim (no, I wasnt wearing lipstick or anything of the sort), and when I told our waiter and asked for a new glass, he just chuckled and said ok - no apology at all. I would come back for the food (lobster ravioli was great!) but I would leave in a heartbeat if I had the same waiter.
Probably 1.5 stars.Really disappointed with the food and the overall ambiance. This place has been a tradition for the past 5 years. The calimari was good. Cocktails were fine. The chicken modenese and the mushroom ravioli were not very good. The chicken was burned, at least the breading. The chef explained it was a balsamic drizzle, but it was burned. The ravioli were dry and chewy. The flavors were ok.The biggest disappointment was the number of people jammed into the dining area. Id prefer the restaurant to raise prices 15 - 20% and remove a few tables. This usually intimate dinner felt rushed, extremely public, and packed.
Rude! This has always been a favorite place to come when we travel twice a year. I invited a friend who lives in the area to join us. She drove over an hour to do so. After 1 hour and 20 minutes of our scheduled reservation, the manager came to our table and asked us to leave as other guests needed to be seated. Our friend went to the restroom and while we were waiting near the door, we were asked to wait outside in the 38 degree weather at the patio table with firepit surrounded by smokers. I called to complain and the manager said she didnt think she did anything wrong as we were clearly done! We were not done. We were still eating our dessert and hoping for a coffee refill which was never offered. She offered no apology of any kind. Fabulous food, but I guess house policy is eat and get out! We will not be returning.
Off the beaten path for Midtown restaurants, you can easily escape the Atlanta scene here and find yourself in their secluded and intimate dining area.Great place for date night or a few friends from out of town. They always seem to have great specials. The food is not the best Italian I have ever had, however the atmosphere, prices and service have always been a 5/5 to me.I would go here before seeing a movie or a show. Or perhaps grab a drink before heading home as well.
Just happened to choose this restaurant because we could see it from our hotel room. What great luck as this is a wonderful restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and it was very evident that the staff knows what they are doing -- especially the kitchen staff as the scallops and shrimp were perfect! Our waiter Kayo was very accommodating and had a great personality. We dont impress easily and they managed to impress us here -- definitely recommend
The food was delicious, the atmosphere pleasant, and the service quite good. It isnt fine Italian dining where the portions are small, the prices large, and staff distant, it is excellent fare with good value, and reminds me of the mom and pop restaurants Ive eaten at in Italy.
We went to celebrate my hubbys birthday. The ambience is very calm and the restaurant has a nice feel about it. We ordered starters and pasta with wine. Pasta was out of this world and service by Cole was excellent. Cole suggested some dishes and were delicious. The food is reasonably priced and we had a wonderful experience. Will visit soon..
As an experienced concierge in the hospitality industry over 7 yrs, Ive visited many restaurants. I can truly say that this is one of the best Italian restaurants that you can experience in all of Georgia. The atmosphere is lively and romantic because of their intimate setting. I recommend that you order from their original menu which was established in 1994. I had the Ravioli Di Funghi which was very succulent, seasoned with the perfect of amount of herbs. My date had Lobster Ravioli and she said it was wonderful. I will be going back frequently. I would like to specifically give a shout out to Robyn & Robin who hosted us. They took great care of us!
Stopped in on a busy night last Thursday. The receptionist was welcoming and assisted the heavy traffic in and out of the doors. Tana, the manager, was helpful as well. The Ricotta Salmon w Rice was their special of the day, and it was to die for! Great staff and delicious food.
The restaurant itself was lovely. Nice intimate setting with a very homey feel. Unfortunately the cuisine was not all its cracked up to be. I ordered the calamari which was good and well seasoned but the lobster ravioli was terribly dry. My party and I waited a good 10 minutes to be greeted by Ben. This seemed to be a trend with him. The entire night we waited for Ben to bring our food which we saw sitting in the windo for a good 20 minutes. Needless to say it came out cold. We also waited ample time for him to bring out our checks..I cannot say that I will be returning.
This was the worst dining experience I’ve experienced in the Atlanta area. We made reservations in December 2017 for a February date. We had a party of 20 for my wedding at the Four Seasons. The restaurant called and confirmed the reservations the day of the wedding. We arrived at the time of our reservation and were informed there wasn’t room for us and told to sit outside. We were reluctant and informed the staff we were disappointed. We were seated outside in February post-rain weather at three separate tables. It took 20 minutes for our drink orders to be taken and another 20 minutes to get our drinks. The supervisor (maybe manager?) was rude and rushed us to order. She never even apologized for not honoring our reservations. We were hoping the food would at least be decent, but we were yet again disappointed. The special risotto was cold, bland and dry. The special scallop dish was a huge letdown. It seemed that no seasoning was applied. This was intended to be one of the most memorable days of our life, but Pasta Da Pulcinella managed to completely ruin the evening. I have informed the Four Seasons of how terrible our experience was and they should steer future residents and clients away from this restaurant.
We had the best first experience with Pasta Da Pulcinella. The atmosphere is extremely intimate. The staff was the friendliest. Our server Hannah may be the best server in Atlanta. The food was excellent and the prices are not extreme for this caliber. Will definitely be back (make a reservation)
OK. I found it. I have three levels of restaurants. 1. Where I would spend my own money; 2. Where Id go if someone else paid; 3. Wouldnt go no matter who paid. No Italian place made it in the first group until I visited Pasta Da Pulcinella. Enough said. Delicious food in a cozy location made for the best team lunch and weve visited most other places in the area.
Where do I BEGIN!! We are vegan (Vegan VEGAN) our server went and found a vegan server to fully understand our needs. We left it up to the chef to “surprise” us. Hubby had red sauce I had garlic. I never EVER clean my plate and always need a doggie bag ... NOT TONIGHT. Drinks were made to perfection and the dessert was delectableI think I found our anniversary restaurant
I was invited for a meal to celebrate my brother’s birthday and absolutely adored it! Real Italian ambiance, white linen tablecloths, solid wooden chairs, & great tableware. This may sound ridiculous to mention, but man am I tired of ‘designed’ spaces with cheap tables, rickety chairs and bent fork tines! Very pleasant, welcoming staff, cute little bar, not stuffy or pretentious. Food was excellent, service was on point, surprised us with the most delicious tiramisu and I ordered the silky vanilla bean gelato to complement. They also serve an excellent, complementary sliced Italian loaf and have a lovely spiced olive oil to dip in to start off. Bellissimo!
Dined 2 weeks ago. The service was wonderful, our server was extremly attentive. The food, sadly was disapointing. My wife and I were not impressed. We ordered the black pepper and chicken gnocci and it was very dry. It had no sauce, and we ended up ordering pesto to put over it. I had the lobster ravioli and it it was just ok . prices are way too high for the portion sizes. :( .
Cant say enough good things about PDP! The refurbished home-turned-restaurant adds a nice touch to the bustling Midtown vibe and is a quaint and quiet place for dinner. You will need to make reservations because it is quite popular and the people that dine here know whats good-lots of foodies who like an authentic meal and experience. There is one waitress we love (short blond hair) and is exceptional. If you go, go all out. Dessert and wine is a must to complete your meal.
How have I not been to this place sooner!? This restaurant is perfect and quiet and the food is AMAZING. I had the Mushroom Ravioli and my coworker had the daily special…both were delish! I also love that they took the time to put rosemary in their olive oil - make dipping the bread that much more delicious.Service was fantastic as well. our host was warm and welcoming. Its almost a crime how cheap this place is - I felt like I underpaid because the ambiance, service and food were SOOOO good.
As much as I was looking forward to frequenting this place, since it is around the corner from my apartment, I had a very, very poor meal here. My date and I both agreed that our dishes were bland and flavorless. The bruschetta was very bad and the mushroom ravioli was just ok. On the bright side, the waiter, wine, and presentation were fantastic.
They were super busy on a sunday night, but we were able to be seated at the bar. Id recommend a reservation if you come though. I ordered off of the specials menu, I had the lower and prosciutto salad, it was good, just a little over dressed, and some of the prosciutto was a little thick. I also had the blsck pepper gnocchi, it wasnt pretty, but was ok. The gnocchi was perfect, as was the chicken, it just lacked seasoning. My husband had the lamb chops, they were cooked perfectly, but under seasoned as well and the risotto was a little soupy and also lacked much flavor. The servers were very friendly and helpful maybe we just ordered the wrong things
Went there for Valentines Day. They had a special menu, which, I suppose should have helped them with the kitchen flow. But the chicken was raw in the middle and the pasta, they may say it is supposed to be Al dente, but honestly, was not boiled enough. The server was great and the place is nice, but of course thats not enough
New Years dinner . First set menue ?? I umderstand the need for that, but is was not explained at the reservation. When we told the server this was not explained they told us everyone one was told that and the hostess marked in the book she presented the evening menue because this has been a problem in the past? And that the price of$50.00 per head was explained ? Okay? Food quality was poor and very small. The starters included 3 choices that include nothing over the top or very interesting. Soup,Salad or a Fritter( all very small with no style or care) I order the soup that was half a cup though good. We brought 2 bottles of wine and expected to pay a cork charge but the server had no understanding of fine dining. He was very pleasant but Benjamin had no understanding of how to make up for poor management. Main course was pre cooked and greasy and there was very little choice unless you like risotto. The servers providing the main meal were not trained nore interested in working and were very disorganized. Food was burnt and pre cooked and cold. The chef should be embarrased. Desert time no one asked if we wanted coffee. Desert was just placed on the table with no utensils or inquiry for after dinner drinks. Great place for a high school date if dad was paying.. The cost of 400 plus wine and drinks Olive Garden would have been better. Would not recomend this place ever. No manager to talk to so hopefully they will respond as our guest are from Atlanta and enjoy many restaurants in the area.Happy New Year
It took me a good two days to figure out how I wanted to start this review. To sum it up in a sentence: This was probably the least flavorful meal Ive had in my entire life.To explain further, we made a reservation here for NYE since I was in the mood for a hearty Italian meal - I noticed a brief note about an offering of a NYE three-course menu. There was no indication that the three-course menu was the only menu we could order from for the evening. Lo and behold - we get to the restaurant only to be told that the regular menu was not available and that we could only order from the NYE menu. Fine, not ideal, but hey - the reviews on OpenTable and Google were great, Im sure the three-course menu will be delicious! (We were wrong). Our appetizers were okay. I ordered a red pepper soup that was fine, but my boyfriend ordered a tuna fritter that tasted like it came out of a can. Not great, but maybe the entrees would be better. I ordered Sicilian chicken that included vegetables and Parmesan risotto. The chicken and veggies were fine (though the portion size of the veggies took nearly two thirds of the plate) but the risotto was impossibly bland and slightly undercooked. My boyfriend ordered a tortelloni (which was actually ravioli) dish that I believe was supposed to include asparagus in the filling - unfortunately all you could taste was plain cheese. When we both reached for the salt and pepper shakers to triage the situation, we realized that the pepper grinder was empty. This shouldve been the reddest of red flags.Desserts were disappointing. My tiramisu consisted mostly of cream with no lady fingers in sight (it honestly tasted like it disintegrated into the dish) and my boyfriends chocolate raspberry cake, despite being smothered in fruit and icing, was dry.Well, at least the wine was good.If the reviews are accurate, my guess is the regular menu is worth a shot, but this special NYE menu felt lazy and not even close to true Italian food. Not confident that Ill visit again.
Very impressed !!Im so glad that Ive finally found a restaurant in the Midtown area worth a 5 star review.Just to think that Ive passed this lil house up on daily walks to get horrible food just up the way. This place is Amazing ..💜The staff were all very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was peaceful and very cozy , so I guess when u put a good meal with that you get A+ results.I ordered takeout lunch here and had the salmon with field greens and zucchini and squash.I also had the Granny Smith apple & sausage w/ fresh Parmesan ravioli..(( Ravioli de Mele ))Very Delicious !!Cant wait to go back and try the other ravioli dishes because they all sounded very good.prices for lunch menu were extremely reasonable.2 very good quality dishes for $26.00 u cant beat. Will definitely be back.Especially for that fresh baked bread
Nothing but good things to say about this place! But first, word to the wise, make sure you call ahead for a reservation! My sister and I decided to wait for the bar seating since it would be hours before a spot opened up, but we still had to wait awhile. The hostesses were extremely friendly and so was the bartender. We had the Ravioli de Funghi and Ravioli Sardi di Melanzane paired with Caesar salads and the creme brûlée for dessert which was just perfect!
Had dinner with good friends from Atlanta on March 16..a busy Friday night. We found out why it is a busy restaurant: the food is excellent, great wine list, yummy dessert, and a wait staff that is par excelente! Line was our server--such fun, professional, and knowledgable. We had outstanding pasta..theTortellini di Mele was the best! And a generous serving (took some home) at $17.00 was amazing! Make certain to make reservations as this is a popular place! I will be back!!!
My girlfriend and I had our anniversary dinner here and it was the perfect choice. The space is very relaxing and comfortable and the food was delicious. I had the Pizzorcheri Coi Rapini, which is pasta with sautéed broccolirabe, roasted radicchio, browned garlic, shiitake mushrooms and crushed red peppers and it was amazing. It had so many flavors and was the a good portion. My girlfriend had the ravioli stuffed with sausage and apple and loved them. It was a really unique dish and she said it went well the bottle of riesling we ordered. They have a good selection of wine at good prices. We had a reservation but had to wait about 20 minutes for our table to ready. Service after that was prompt and friendly.
The place was nice, cozy, elegant. The service was good. However, the food was AWFUL. We were a party of three and ordered Bruschetta and Calamari as appetizers. Then ordered Lobster Ravioli, Chicken Cannelloni and Veal Marsala as our main courses. First of all, the Bruschetta was served with very little tomato, goat cheese and a bunch of lettuce on top drenched with balsamic vinaigrette... Anyone that knows quality Italian food would knows that is NOT Bruschetta. Personally, I don’t even eat regular salad with dressing. Therefore, I was annoyed that the appetizer was covered in the vinaigrette. Moving on to the calamari - they were flavorless and served with a green blob that tasted horrible. The main courses: Veal Marsala - the meat was tough, chewy, the sauce it was served with tasted like a poor attempt at Salisbury sauce. Perhaps, what I would imagine old meat and canned sauce would taste like (not Marsala at all). The Chicken Cannelloni - it looked like enchiladas instead of Cannelloni, the tomato sauce tasted like enchilada sauce, the stuffing was cold, and the chicken inside was puréed (which is gross). The Lobster Ravioli - five pieces of ravioli swimming in a sweet cream sauce. The person in our party that had that dish ate one ravioli, we all shared (just to taste) another piece and left three on the plate. We really should have paid the check and left after the appetizers, but we had good faith that perhaps the main courses would be better that the appetizers. They were not.We had Valpolicella wine and prosecco to drink (those were good). We finally paid the check - $125 + $20 tip (we could not bring ourselves to tip better because the food was of such poor quality and taste) - and went to another Italian restaurant to eat.The one star is for the nice decor and okay service. Everything else was a total fail.
Read so many great reviews about this place, and decided to take my mom on a Wednesday night. We ordered one of their weekly (but all time) house specials - Cheese Tortellini with Grilled Chicken. For claiming that they make their pasta in house, or buy it local...it tasted very much like grocery store bought pasta. Not at all fresh, and maybe thats because it was significantly under-cooked and somewhat crunchy. The chicken was also noticeably dry. So much so that I left it on my plate. I am not a picky eater, but this was not at all what I expected. I couldnt say more about the great service, but for being 1 of 3 tables in the whole place, I am extremely disappointed in food.
We come down every year for the America’s Mart and look for different places to eat. This is one of the places we have returned to. We have had an exceptional meal both times with a great and friendly waiter, Kayo, who remembered us from the year before. Definitely will be returning next year !!

2022-02-13Charming Italian restaurant in Midtown. Neighborhood feel with regulars and friendly staff. I had the basic linguine with tomato sauce and vegetables after a simple mixed green salad with balsamic. The pasta was fresh and vegetables were cooked perfectly. I cant wait to go back and order the other menu options. The inside is cozy with a warm romantic feel. There is also a great patio. I sat at the bar. There is a small bar with a few seats, which was great, but would love to eat on the patio as well. Looking forward to going back!

2022-05-24The parking in this area is very limited. You can park at the Moxy Atlanta Midtown hotel and the restaurant will validate your ticket: up to 2 hours parking for lunch and dinner for only $6 (instead of the usual $16). Make sure you remember to bring the parking ticket so the restaurant can validate it. The Moxy is just around the corner from the restaurant at the intersection of 13th and Peachtree Walk NE (48 13th St NE).I made the reservation ahead online. The place is normally packed for dinner, and we went on a weekday, not even weekend. There was no table inside so we was sat at the patio which was lovely. Theres a big tree on the patio so it provides nice leafy shade. The chairs on the patio has no cushion but you can ask for a separate cushion from the receptionist or the server. The atmosphere on the outdoor is fresh and open, not as much noise as the indoor. The food is tasty, simple but tasty. We had:- Caesar Salad: The salad is really good but the croutons are way too hard for my biting.- Grilled chicken linguini with garlic cream sauce: my boyfriend approved it.- Shrimp linguini with garlic cream sauce: I asked for extra grated cheese and I think it gives more flavor to the dish.- A side of prosciutto: good quality but some part of it is a bit dry.The only disadvantage of the patio seats is it does take a while to see a server comes by but we were no rush. Our server is very friendly and attentive. My drink order was a fruity mocktail, and they mixed it well. It tastes fruity and is not overwhelmed by soda or sparkling water like some places do. Overall, we had a lovely experience, and definitely recommend the place!

2022-04-06Found this place here in Google maps once I arrived at my hotel in Atlanta for a quick one night stay. This was a 5 min walk and was certainly worth it. The service with a smile, patient, and the food was GREAT 👌🏼 I had the pan seared red snapper special, an arugula salad, and the choc cake with vanilla gelato on the side. Menu deflection was great, wine selection also - go enjoy!

2022-06-25To start off, food was great. We had appetizers as well and everything was good. Definitely recommend for the food portion. Greet staff were nice. Why I gave it two stars…I hate to call out a server but we had Chris and he was nice but service was terribly slow. We were greeted after about 10-12 minutes, sitting there with no water or nothing. After finally being greeted, we received appetizers and finished them then finally received bread, which then we had no plates for so we had to sit and wait about 7 more minutes for Chris to come back to request plates again. Then, our main entrees hit the table before our requested bread plates. As I mentioned, food was all good.Multiple times I had to ask for a refill and every time it took forever to get one. Our glasses sat empty numerous times throughout dinner. We also waited a while for our check to be settled and plates to be cleared.Lastly, Chris was oblivious to his slow service and never offered an apology/explanation. I have previously worked food service and I’ve never seen this level of complacency.2/5

2022-07-11Hidden between high rise office buildings, this little Italian place in Midtown Atlanta is the one restaurant I try to eat at every time I am in town. I hadn’t been there for over three years due to COVID and I sit down at the bar, which is where I often eat, and the Lenea, who runs the bar area, immediately says, “I’ve served you before, haven’t I?” They were packed with reservation, down a couple servers, and then it rained and they had to squeeze the folks on the patio into the restaurant — it was easily a night that they could have been at their worst, but they were really at their best. The food is phenomenal— if you get offered something not officially on the menu, say yes — but what also stands out is that they take care of their guests. You do not get that level of service many places, but I am happy to have found one place where you can.

2022-06-23An amazing dining experience!! We came here for my birthday + our anniversary celebrations and we’re beyond happy with our choice. It’s such a quaint and pretty restaurant tucked away. Our server was excellent, drinks were amazing and food was delicious. We had the Palma Alba and Little Italy cocktails, caprese for an app and for dinner the Bucatini with smoked salmon (that night’s special) and the Tortelli de Mele. The olive oil to dip the bread in was super light and delicious. The tiramisu is imported from Italy and was a yummy birthday treat. We’ll absolutely be back to try everything else on the menu!

2022-04-20Tucked in the heart of north midtown, PDP is located in a modest bungalow on an unassuming street. White cloth tables and fast service throughout. The staff knows the menu well and they give excellent recommendations.New comers come for and should try the ravioli, for which they are famous. The mushroom ravioli, even though its veg, is the best dish on the menu... Wine choices are limited but pair well. You can get desserts, espresso or digestifs. If you are ordering closer to the end of night, order the desserts beforehand.. overall, a great place to come for dates and small groups alike..PS: everyone raves about the arugula salad & for good reason. Do try it if you are not allergic to pine nuts.

2022-05-26We had dinner with out-of-town guests who wanted an Atlanta dining experience. I had eaten here several times before and knew they would enjoy the atmosphere and the food. We were not disappointed, although it was surprisingly busy on an early Sunday evening. You cannot go wrong with any dish - its more a decision based on what youre in the mood for.And our server was excellent - the right amount of attention at the appropriate times.Enjoy!

2022-04-30Dined there for the first time. Charming and quaint. Service & wine was good. Food definitely sub par compared to what I am use too in Atlanta. Very small portions, my lobster ravioli was sitting in a bowl of what looked like milk and not a cream sauce….not tasty. My husband’s ravioli dish was good not great. Calamari was not very good. We paid the bill after main course and went for coffee and dessert on the way home. I wanted to love it, but we did not.
