Pasta Vino in other cities:
We had a party of 13 this evening which I know is hard to accommodate these days. I was able to call ahead and Meg was very eager to help us. We arrived in our table was ready in the perfect spot of the restaurant perfect we had a little trouble getting the menu on our phones but once we did everything was fine. We ordered cocktails which were delicious. The pizza was authentic and the kids devoured it. One of us had the dinner special and several of us had their pasta dishes. Everyone was super happy and sad that we wouldnt be able to return because we dont live in the area. If you have a chance please go here as it is very good
I’ve been to this restaurant once before and wasn’t impressed but decided to give it a try one more time - what a mistake. First we ordered fried zucchini as an appetizer which was totally tasteless. I asked for the house red which was so bad I could hardly drink it. My girlfriend’s Chianti was ok.Then we ordered baked ziti and eggplant parm (two pretty straightforward dishes). Both arrived to the table hot and in a timely fashion but were totally bland tasting. We had to ask for bread and when it arrived, towards the end of the meal, it was on par with entrees - just a cold tasteless piece of bread. So, after spending $75.00 I had to apologize to my girlfriend for taking her there. Needless to say, after two tries I won’t be returning for a third attempt …
My husband and I decided to order from this place since it was closer to our house than our usual Italian place. What a mistake.I ordered the Cheese Ravioli which the menu said was baked in a tomato sauce and melted mozzarella. I was also given the option to add Sausage to my meal. I quite like Italian sausage and typically add a sausage link to my meal at other places. While I thought the $5 charge was a little steep, I was optimistic that it would be tasty. What I got was a bowl of seemingly microwaved frozen raviolis with a bland tomato sauce dumped on top. The supposedly baked mozzarella? Just clump of melted cheese that was melted underneath the sauce. It was gross. As for the $5 sausage? They just tossed in the sliced sausage they (I assume) use for their pizzas. It reminded me of something you would give to a child. Not at all what I expected for the price. My husband ordered their Rigatoni Bolognese. He recently had a stay at the hospital and said the Rigatoni at the hospital was much better. He also said that he would prefer Chef Boyardee (which he does actually like).I can honestly make better Italian myself at home with store-bought pasta and sauce and it certainly wouldnt cost me $40.00.I dont think I have ever been this disappointed on a meal from a restaurant before.
Family of 5 placed in the bar next to a rowdy group. We were unable to hold a conversation due to the loud gentlemen at the bar. Order taker took 10 mins to take the order, gave drinks, didnt check on us, and appetizer came out about 15 mins later. Asked for another round of water, main course arrived 20 mins later, spaghetti was hot but the seafood not and still no water yet, finished meal and water arrived. With ears ringing from the yelling from the three gentleman at the bar we left, never to return. If you want decent service and a relaxing atmosphere dont come here. Happy graduation son.
We went there for Office lunch yesterday with a group of 12 people. Service and decor was good but the food was tasteless. All 12 people in the group had the same opinion. There was more sauce than pasta in the plate and the sauce tasted like canned pasta sauce. Portion size was not enough since the amount of pasta was less in plate. One person disliked food so much that he left half of his food. We joked about going somewhere else afterwards to eat more and better food. We had read the reviews earlier and expected good Italian food but I wont even call it decent. They were also out of some dishes at early lunch time. We still left a good tip since server was good.
Terrible food. I heard a microwave being opened, closed, and beeping the whole time I was eating on the dine in side. When the chicken parm came out it was like a chicken pancake and I could tell it was frozen and microwaved. I’m having a hard time understanding why this place has good reviews. Disappointing.
Great Italian in a friendly, neighborhood setting! This was our first time here for dinner. The service was attentive, and it looked like there were a lot of regulars who the staff knew personally. The owner also stopped by our table to make wine recommendations and get to know us. The menu is extensive, and in our group of 5, everyone agreed that the food was excellent. Cant miss items that we tried off the menu would include the Cannolli - (fresh ricotta cream and pastry!), Calamari (excellent batter and you could tell it was fresh), and Eggplant Parmigiana. Well definitely be back in the future!!!
I placed a to go order after working too many hours in an unfamiliar area. When I got to my hotel, I found out they didnt provide utensils. Those of us who get called in to areas that are short staffed know chain restaurants (ex: Olive Garden) at least cover the basics. They know the world does not evolve around them! This place was a waste of money. Ended up grabbing a hamburger.
Carlos took amazing care of us for dinner. We had a great meal. Highly recommend, its tucked away in this half empty shopping plaza, its a hidden gem. Ive been eating there for yrs, but had not been in for a long while. Very authentic Italian, great service, very accommodating for picky eaters (like my child)
Food is not that great so 3 stars for that. Entrees are not sharply presented, try sloppy and not that great. Service only get 1. So 2 stars only for the average.2nd time here, thought first time server was too slow and forgetful, 2nd time confirmed the trend in spite of being a different face.Forget about having a little olive oil with good bread as an appetizer, I had to go to the front desk and request that, the server ignored completely.Food arrived after 40 minute wait.Sorry, I don’t highly recommend it. It is almost a fast food Italian quality place with high prices for what they serve.
Great food and terrific sauce. My wife and two small children went there for dinner this past Sunday night. My wife got the gnocchi and liked that it wasnt too heavy.I got the chicken parmesan along with spaghetti. I was delightfully surprised by thier sauce. It seemed fresh and had great flavor. The service was a bit slow but nothing that would keep us from coming back.Overall great food for the price.
Sam took great care of everything we needed. Food here is amazing if you want true Italian. The ravioli I had was homemade with spinach and it was beyond wonderful. Will be back soon for sure. If you want the best pasta in town, look no further. PS Even the chocolate cake is delicious.
I would not go to this restuarant again. The waiter was so soft spoken and lacked basic hospitality manners. I ordered a classic Italian chicken parmigiana and it was served cold, had watered down sauce, and the chicken was so thin that it shouldnt have been served at all. On top was a cheese slice and that was very disappointing. I did not like this experience, ambiance, food, or service at all.
Ordered Eggplant parmesan with spaghetti and meat sauce. And it was delicious. All the meals come with garlic knots. They tasted so fresh with garlic and some type of oil an butter. Would recommend stopping in here for some Italian food. Prices are reasonable also. Think I sent 50 bucks on 2 meals and drinks.
The truly good mid-priced Italian restaurants in the Atlanta area are few and far between. Pasta Vino is one of those few.I went there a few nights ago and got a meat lovers pizza and a calamari appetizer. The calamari was perfect - all rings covered with a light breading and served with two lemon wedges and a generous ramakin of delicious, homemade Italian sauce. The pizza was covered with ham, sausage, ground beef, and pepperoni - not to mention a generous amount of cheese. I even had some pizza left over for breakfast the next day. This is a real gem of a neighborhood spot. Im going there tomorrow for lunch.
We work right next door to Pasta Vino and visit at least once a week. It has become our go-to-lunch spot to take clients and handle lunch-meetings.I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal - in fact, not once have I left the slightest bit disappointed. The waitstaff is friendly and the atmosphere is open, quiet and wonderful. Ive used them for catering - both work related and personal. If youre looking for a great italian food and want to keep it local - Pasta Vino is it.
I had the worst experience here. Came here on a weekday with my boyfriend for dinner, and the waitress was very rude and kept an annoyed facial expression. She made us very uncomfortable. The fettuccine alfredo was like noddles in hot milk. Very watery and tasteless. Just for the bad customer service, I would stay away from this place.
I have been enjoying the food at Pasta Vino since the restaurant open. The food is prepared to high standards and your dining experience is facilitated by a great staff. Whether its pasta, veal or seafood you will not be disappointed or if youre craving something like a pizza you cant go wrong with the Tony. Still the best.
One of the best places I have eaten in the 7 years since moving here from NJ. I make my own Italian from scratch(taught by my Sicilian Grandmother) so I am VERY picky when it comes to eating Italian out. Everything that I have ever had at Pasta Vino has been outstanding, even the pizza it feels like Im back in Parsippany every time I bite into a slice of their pie. The staff is fantastic they make you feel right at home, they are courtious and fun.
11. 28. 17 Extremely disappointed, I was not only lied to about the price also how it was. make. Quoted $60 for 80 ea ravioli. The price was confirmed twice before ordering 7 days before placing catering order. Upon pick up the I saw parsley on a side container. I asked was the parsley also added to the filling. Vincent in person said yes I made it special for you as requested. There was NO parsley in the filling. Also I was charged $80 for 60 ea ravioli. Vincent also insisted this was the price.I had verified the price verbally and also had it written down this.price. The ravioli filling was also so thin it was like a spread instead of a fill. The price and especially the dishonestly was outrageous. Vincent would not even agree to the price he originally quoted. No recommendation here.1.9.18 Vincent made it right after the google review. He credited our take out order. Changed to
We werent sure what to think about this place. It was my birthday dinner and I wanted Italian food. Good Italian food is not an easy thing to find in the Atlanta area, particularly if you dont want to spend less than 20 bucks a person.I didnt make a reservation, so needless to say we had to wait. It was at least 40 minutes before we got to sit down. You get some bread and some garlic knots. Not unusual for an Italian restaurant. The bread was decent, the garlic knots were good. So far pretty much what I expected. Then we ordered a salad to share. It was a garden salad, so it was good except for the croutons. They were bland and lacked seasoning. With all that being said, I wasnt expecting much from the entrees. I was with my brothers. 2 of us ordered chicken parm and the 3rd ordered eggplant. I took a bite of my dinner and was absolutely blown away. The chicken was perfectly pounded out, tender, and not overly breaded. The sauce was fantastic and they gave you some basil leaves between the cheese and the chicken breast. Then there was the pasta, a small bowl of spaghetti perfectly al dente and coated in the same great marinara sauce that covered my chicken. I even took a bite of the eggplant parmesan. It was phenomenal. This is the best Italian food I have eaten probably since the last time I ate Italian in New York. Thats right. New York.Go to this restaurant. Go often.
Was in the mood for some pasta and found a this spot near me. Unfortunately It was quite disappointing from the wait for the waitress to take our order to a very disappointing mozzarella sticks straight from Arbys. To the pasta dishes so bland and mushy and watery. The waitress was in another world. My advice stay away.
My family and I have been eating at Pasta Vino for years. The food is as good as you will find in Rome. They have pizza and pasta, and they have northern Italian dishes as well. Try the Chicken Francaise. The pizza is the best in Atlanta. There marinara sauce is so yummy you could drink it.
This year and last year my sister has requested coming here for her birthday. I must admit this years visit was a bit of a dissappointment mainly due to our server. Asked for water twice, nothing. Our food came out and sat on the tray waiting for our server to put it on the table. A third request for water, none again was brought. We had birthday gifts on the table and no acknowledgement of it being someones birthday. Our server seemed rushed and barely paid us any attention. We wont be back for a third year.
If you are craving Italian, especially pasta I would not recommend going here. The Alfredo sauce was very bland and watery with little to no flavor. The noodles did not stick to the sauce at all, it was more like noodles with a side of soup! The shrimp Alfredo specifically only came with about 5 shrimps. The shrimp scampi was terrible it had waayyyy too much lemon juice. If you want subpar Italian food you might as well go to Olive Garden but definitely not here.
My wife and I along with another couple had a nice dining experience last Saturday evening at Pasta Vino. Our server Brandon was attentive to our needs, didn’t rush us while we decided and his cocktail/menu suggestions were spot on! Although there were numerous menu choices, we opted for some of the dinner specials that included either Greek or Caesar salads. Meal portions were ideal while delivered timely and hot. Interior has been updated with new flooring and brighter walls. Well definitely be coming back, and saving room for dessert!

2022-06-25Was always a pleasure coming here. Has taken a HUGE hit as far as service. In person last 2/4 times was SLOWW, think they even forgot we were there once. Just ordered 2 pizzas for pickup (6/24/22), came 1/2 later to pick up, they had NO RECORD of my order!!! They offered to make them on the spot, but it kinda defeats the purpose of takeout. Sad to see one of our favorite restaurants fall, but unlikely well be going back.

2021-05-24Had dinner here tonight with friends and it was just okay. Our server was on his 3rd day - really nice guy but it was pretty painful to help him through the experience. It took a while to get the food but he did an okay job of keeping drinks refilled and getting us out the door when we wrapped up.I had a calzone and chocolate cake for dessert - others had what is pictured below. The crust was decent but the ingredients seemed kind of bland. My wife’s rigatoni was decent - but nothing spectacular. I definitely think a Provinos or Ippolitos are better choices - honestly, Olive Garden would be better.

2019-09-30Always great service when we dine at Pasta Vino. Love the spinach salad with feta cheese, cranberries, and pecans. The eggplant is pretty good! The chicken abado, a special, was good, but wasn’t worth almost $20 because of the small portion. For 4 entrees, plus an appetizer, 2 glasses of wine, and a Coke, it was $100, which isn’t too bad. We’ll be back!

2021-12-18We loved this place and have been going for years. Recently the food is still good but the portions have shrunk by 40% still same price and maybe more. Other issue is we waited around a hour and a half for the food and it was barely warm. Its sad this used to be the best italian place in Georgia.

2020-10-04This is great quality Italian food, family oriented and consistent. Everything from the garlic knots to the salad to the entree is spot-on. Highly recommend. Good wine list and a variety of craft cocktails offered. The fish is very fresh as we met the fish buyer for the restaurant. They get it directly off the boat from St Petersburg, Florida. Pictured is the chicken francaise which was well done and in a wonderful delicate white wine, lemon and butter sauce.
