Patak is one of my most favorite meat markets in Atlanta. If you wonder if it’s worth the drive, it is. The lady behind me was from Athens. My recommendations are the Kasler Rib, Smoked Ribs, smoked liverwurst, smoked bologna. Well all of it’s good. I recommend bringing a cooler. Also I recommend going during the week.
I have been going here for years. Best meats around hands down. We always love to get the smoked pork chops. Sorry to hear about the current status due to an apparent fire. I hope the business makes a full speedy recovery. Hope to see you back up and running real soon.
Tremendous selection of options, but make sure your first visit occurs during non peak times -- so you can really explore. One note on getting in line: you get a dedicated person to navigate the entire glass case. So make sure to grab a list -- website or yellow paper in the store -- ahead of time, so you can move through the line, efficiently.
I love Patak ❤️ The meats and service are top notch. Thank you Patak for your wonderful selection and delicious products. Finding my favorite German chocolate from when I was a kid was a pleasant surprise as well. Also, everything is very fairly priced. Sorry about the fire. I hope everything is up and running again soon. I’m glad no one was injured. Cannot wait to see you all again soon.
It has been years since I have had any meat or sausages from Patak Meats. I found out that they now have an online store and immediately placed an order. I shipped out yesterday and arrived today. everything looks excellent and it was carefully packed on dry ice. Thanks to the Pataks team, you are the best.
This is the place for cold cuts, sausages, meats, etc. outstanding bologna and the smoked bacon.....wow. Bratwurst top notch. Try to go during the week. It’s very busy on the weekends, particularly before holidays. We have ordered on line and it was ready within a few hours for pickup. Nicely packaged with cooling pads, in and out in 2 minutes. Great place very very nice service.
My husband and I went here today. It had been over 2 years since we had been to Patak and it has been remodeled and made larger it looked very nice. We got several items and their products are delicious as usual. We recognized some of the people who work here and they were nice but a couple of the new ones verged on being rude. Maybe they were having a bad day. We will be going back.
The meats are good and one of the best values. The kabano are so good. I have to pace myself when I go because most of the time I get way too much. I guess that is why they have freezers right. It does get backed up occasionally as so many people get so much stuff but check out takes less than 10 minutes when it is busy. Also they have EV chargers in the parking lot.
I would probably shop here at least once a week if I still lived in Atlanta. They have EXCELLENT customer service! Great quality and variety of sausages and other meats that you wont find anywhere as well. I just wish that theyd setup another location up here in Nashville!
We drove 2 hours to come here from middle Georgia. Definitely worth the drive. Staff was super nice and helpful. The selection was great. The quality of the meats were visibly awesome. We will definitely return. The prices for some of the meats are higher than expected but honestly worth it. If you get it shipped from online it will be frozen and after shipping charges will be about the same. Would rather purchase here and get my meat fresh!
If you eat sandwiches, snack, like thick & marbled steak, bacon, cheese and a variety of smoked meat, Patak is your one stop shop! If youve never been or havent been since the remodeling, you wont be sorry for checking them out! Plenty of parking, easy in & out and the best servers around! Eat well my friends!!
I cant tell enough good things about Patak. We ordered our first delivery couple of months ago just to see and try their meats. I am born and raised Czech and the sausages and meats they sent us surprised me. All the meats taste just like at home. And trust me, it is hard to find good tasting sausages. You can tell they are using high quality spices for their smoked meats, sausages and salami. We also ordered some steak and chicken. Very good quality of meats and the taste, you can just tell. I had issues with my second delivery which came late so I have experience with their customer service. They have been fast and apologetic and understanding. Fixed the problem in no time. Communication was perfect. They know their business and they are fantastic at what they are doing. I recommend using their delivery. We are in Illinois and our meats come in 2 days in the box packaged with care.Love Patak!
Usually we drove 5 hours for last 8 years to get the best sausages, bacon and meat from Patak products. Since they offered delivery we started to order online. Always we got what we ordered fresh and so yummy! The last time I ordered they missed some of the sausages. I called right away to report missing sausages and they sent me my sausages even put a little present to appologize. I am so exited for their service.
This is a great butcher and meat store. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and they know their stuff. The store is very clean and organized in such a manner to make ordering from the meat/deli very efficient. Prices are usually very reasonable, but prices seem to have doubled as of June 2020.Google Maps hasnt been updated yet to show their newest building, so the main store is now where the green box is shown in my screenshot.
This place and the people are awesome. When we lived in Atlanta we would go but now we are in Chattanooga. Our first online order did not go well because UPS in Chattanooga is not the best. The order was in Chattanooga 5am Friday morning but we did not receive until 856pm (yes PM) on MONDAY... ick.I called the Patak team Monday morning letting them know it was not delivered over the weekend and like always they were so helpful and sent us a whole new order before the other was at our door and we just got it right now in great, cold, fresh shape. Already had some sausage... yum.The staff goes out of the way and we really love their food. Thanks Patak
Ive been coming to Patrick meets for over 10 years, What of the best European places to get your meats fresh and smoked I really a good atmosphere. Everybody is friendly here and respectful. Would recommend this place to anybody thats looking for fresh meat and great smoked meat.
Ladies day out for us girls in Central Alabama, means a road trip, car packed with coolers and ice, to Patak. We love our German sausages, Wurst and meat. Great selection; good prices on meat and all very fresh. The staff is very friendly; helpful and patient. The German grocery products are a little pricey for me. Overall a great experience. We will be back again...
I love this place. I have two comments, but I will still continue going to Patak. One, the cutters often hurry you to be done with you (apparently, the cutters stay with the meat buyer until they are finished - this somewhat makes me fell hurried and I dont get all the products I want. I would spend more, but they make me hurry. Check out is usually quite slow and the last lady I dealt with barked orders at me and hurried me out when my time come. I would like to think there is a cultural difference and I will just continue to shop how Id like. Great meats and very reasonable prices, though.
Excellent products, excellent customer service. Thank you. Your wiener sausage is to die for :) (one of many). Was sorry that this time you were apparently out of hunters salami which is another beauty not only to look at, but eat it - never lasts in the fridge long. Somebody said here that they do not like the fatty bacon = well let me tell you something = the way the bacon is smoked, even the fatty part is a pleasure to eat. Jana from Texas, former Praha resident.
Recently moved to this area and my neighbor told me about Patak. I had actually seen it prior to the. Recent remodel and had wondered what it was. Well I finally decided to try some of their meats and let me say I was not disappointed. I found their products fresh tasting and their prices as good as it better than my local grocery store. I’ve now been 3 or 4 times and each time my experience was exceptional. The staff is courteous and in abundance. The most I’ve had to wait to be served is about 5 minutes. Highly recommend you give this place a try.
This is a specialty meat shop that produces its own meats. For years, we have had breakfast at a restaurant that serves Patak bacon. Always loved it. Sonos we know when it comes from. Its not near anything else. So expect to spend some time getting there. Lots of specialty foods: pierogis of all varieties, German and Bosnian breads, Balkan phyllo pies, German sausages, you name it!
Great selection of Meat products and fantastic customer service. No other place in Georgia ever comes close. Ever since starting to shop there, I have been recommending it to all my friends. The service is great and you can tell the staff really cares about the level of service they provide. Everything is fresh and will keep you coming back for more. -Eugene SwissWatchExpo
They have a great selection. Its a little unnerving for a first time visitor because I didnt really know what I was looking for. There is a direct one to one interaction with an employee who collects your requests and cuts/packages your selections. They dont go to help anyone else until you are done. They have electric car charging stations out front.
Excellent. Got 3 ribeyes and they were outstanding. Good level of fat and even. Also had 1 rack of baby back ribs. Best Ive cooked at home. Alot of meat vs fat. I will probably make the trip out there from now on for ribs and looking forward to trying other offerings. Value is also excellent.
Very good selection very good quality. Got a selection of sausages, salami, pastrami, bacon, and pork chops. All of them worth the price. They are only open 1 Saturday a month, and have long lines then. We went on a Wednesday and were in and out in 20 minutes. Best advice is go mid week or plan for a 1 hour wait. It is worth it.Plan a list ahead of time. The clerk will go through the counter with you the entire way. After you are done they pass you off to pay. They also have a variety of other foodstuffs such as breads, candies, and tinned meats. Skipped those for now, but they had good variety.
Finally you guys ship. Was super excited to see this new option and ordered almost $300 worth of meat 🥩 and sausages. Arrived within 1 1/2 days Atlanta to Greenville SC. Smells and tastes so good. Just like back home in Germany. Always worth getting are the cooked bratwurst or Weißwürstel.Love it. Will be ordering again.
Ive been here before and this is one of the best places around for getting fresh cuts off meats and sausages. You can find an assortment of authentic European goods and sausages. They have some of the best fresh Polish sausage I ever had. I recommend making the trip here.
I have been coming to Patak for many years and I have never been disappointed. The meats, and sausages are fantastic and dead on to what you would get a central european butcher shop.I will continue to be a regular, and am already looking forward to my next visit. Thank you!
Love this place. Great slab bacon, smoked on sight, cheaper than grocery store and much better. All of there meat products are smoked or cured on sight. Wife is from Germany and we get stuff here that she says is just like what she got back home. If you love cured or smoked meat this is the place to go.
Have been ordering Patak Products for over 5 years, and have always had great service and the meat products are the closest to what My wife and I ate in Germany. The new online ordering is great and provides a great assortment of their meat products at a good price. What would be nice is if Patak would add cheese and some of the in store products like they had before the new online ordering. We like the Hand kase (hand cheese) and some of the other types of cheese that are not available except by calling.
Ive traveled much of the world. and the Beef, Filet Loin, at Patak is the best Ive had in the entire world. Ive been purchasing this from Patak for years and never, ever, not one time found this to be anything but the very best! Those there are absolutely among the best of employees to be found! I cannot more strongly recommend Patak!!
Ive been there twice for meats and both times I had to get someones attention to assist me. Also, both times I waited on someone for 3-5 minutes before they approached someone who came in behind me. Im not sure why, as I am a customer like everyone else. I will not be returning due to poor customer service I received both times. I will not shop where I do not feel welcomed. However, the meat is priced reasonably well compared to nearby grocery stores.
Patak, thumb Up. Your products are delicious. Shipment is on time, very well packet. I wish you have a more items online for sale as hruba mouka, horcice, magi.I had a friend Wolf- Old German butcher, he died. Every year he send me package with products. Ooh, so gut. His Black Forest Ham ooh.. He gave me a smoker and showed me how to make a sausages, smoked meat.
I grew up in Europe, and this place brings back great memories. This is the best butcher and deli meats place I have been to in the south east! The selection is incredible, the taste is incredible, and the prices are more than reasonable. If you try their bacon, you will never want to buy bacon from the store! Their salami, sausages, kielbasa and everything else are great. Also, if you like to cook and bake like on the old continent, you can get some of the ingredients which are hard to find substitutes for here.It is delicious, much better than any store I know, great prices, and well worth the trip!
Amazing meat and cheeses at a great price! Staff is friendly enough but can brusque, so newcomers, pay attention to where lines start and tell them all the meat you want BEFORE they remove their plastic gloves! The store can be a bit confusing for those visiting for the first time so dont go close to busy holiday seasons. Otherwise, be ready for some choice meats that make your mouth very happy!
The best meats, sausages, and cheese in the Atlanta area! Expect a wait, because they are almost always busy. And know what you want when you are next in line, the employees are constantly busy and are ready to put your order together quickly. They will let you sample the sausages before buying. Never disappointed with the quality of the meat. The steaks are fantastic if you like thick cuts.
The best you will find in Georgia. They have the very best of meats and condiments to go with it. Like the old German, Polish and Lithuanian meat markets. The best!!!It is like going to a toy store for meats, sausage, and cheeses for adults.I love to go there. The employees are so knowledgeable, friendly and very professional. You can taste the items if not fresh such as sasages, weiners and cheeses. Not easy to find unless you have a phone directional finder. I drive about 30 miles to shop here...it is that good. I highly recommend it and you will do the same once you try it. Prices are better than the grocery stores. Go and enjoy.
If I want fresh smoked meats this is definitely the place to go. I also buy my chicken wings and breasts from here also. The first two times I went the lines were out of the door...usually this happens on the weekend or around a holiday. Its best to go during the week early in the day before 4pm. The service well Ive had good service thus far until recently. I spent roughly $40 and I wanted wings, well I pretty much got the last and wanted a pound more. They were in the back and she hated to make a trip to the back and get them! First of all, let me say this, great customer service goes a long way. Whether they are from here or not, they recognize the American dollar a mile away...and at the end of the day we pay their salary...period. I wasnt being rude or asking her to do anything beyond her job. I couldnt get my own meat so being rude..doesnt fly well with me. It was like she hated being there. I would have spent a lot more but I felt like she didnt value me as a customer. I know that wouldnt hurt their business one cent, but I made a stand as a customer.
Ive enjoyed their wonderful meats, sausage, cheeses and packaged specialty imported foods for years! Not really a fancy place, but very pleasant. Worth the drive!Top quality, authentic sausages made right there and smoked and/or cured to perfection. Extremely well-butchered fresh meat and poultry. From Europe, many grocery items youve missed in the U.S. And some very delicious homemade breads; Bosnian flat bread is my favorite!Everyone there is knowledgeable and will take the time to answer any questions, but service is pleasantly efficient rather than cuddly; the small space is usually busy and the line moves quickly, but you wont feel rushed.
Just received my order via on-line the other day and all I can say is OUTSTANDING!!!! From order to door was less than 24 hours and the quality of the sausages, wurst, and cold cuts was like being back in Germany!!! Will be placing another large order again in the very near future!! Thanks Patak so much!!!
The staff at Patak Meat Market ALWAYS are great. They have the BEST Varity of Smoked Meats, Beef, Chicken, Pork, Cheeses, ect. I spoke to another customer who was in line with me and she told me that she traveled Alabama to shop at Pataks. To me, Pataks sells a better product than Sams Wearhouse, Ingles, Kroger or Publix.
I just found out about this place a couple days ago & went for the first time today - its awesome! They have so many types of meats - fresh, smoked, sausages, salamis, you name it! They let me try everything that I was interested in & gave me tips on how to prepare them. The whole staff was very friendly & knowledgable. And their prices are comparable to the grocery stores, but for a much better quality product. I cant wait to go back! :)
Love their fresh meats. New remodeled space has smoked meats and cold cuts first. You have to wait behind that crowd to get the next person to help you with items on the fresh side. Backwards. European rules, no bypassing that part of the line. 😉Well be sure to come midweek from now on.
I absolutely love everything Patak sells! The meat is amazing: extremely fresh & the variety/selection is excellent. Patak also has a ton of unique food items in addition to the meat & cheese. They also provide a wonderful system of serving their customers so you are in & out with your goodies in no time at all!I highly recommend you try them soon! It will be your new favorite place!!
Disappointed and very surprised. After waiting about 45 minutes to get in the building when I finally got inside I discovered the place pack in like sardines with people, no social distancing and some with masks and some without. After seeing what we were walking into we left realizing we would have to wait in this highly congested room full of people, contrary to covid 19 guidelines. Will not be returning to a place that shows so little concern about public health.
I really hope that one day that a Patak meats would open in Conyers, GA. I really love this place for getting all my fresh meats... Sausage, smoked ribs, bacon, ... Youll have to experience this place at least once and youd understand why many wait in line to make a purchase... Theyre so far from me and theyre closed on weekends, so I basically have to take a day off just to shop...
[Covid-19 Update]Patak was one of my favorite places to shop meats products, until yesterday. As usual, I bought a lot of great stuff, but with a very big disappointment regarding the safety for Covid-19. Despite the fact that the staff were wearing masks, there were a lot of customers who did not at all; and the social distance --in the line and between the lines, is not restricted at all. I had a person without mask in front of me, and another one just after me who sneezed. I was feeling very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I will definitely not go anymore to Patak during the pandemic!!!
Ive been a chef for a little while now, and I miss this quality of product and service. It reminds me of going to the butchers with my great grandmother, fresh chickens and pork. They try to duplicate this, in the stores today but they lack that quality! The servers were not only nice, they were truly patient and made suggestions. Long story short, I will buy my meat only from Pataks. And there are about 6 others that will be going there from now on as well!Lyons Elite Catering
The BEST MEATS ever!Their bacon is the best you will ever have. The hot dogs, smoked pork chops, you name it, everything is great! All product dont have even quarter of the sodium that store brands have and if you try their meat product, you will be hooked on them. They will slice your bacon and meats any thickness you want.Their meats dont have near the amount of preservatives all other meats you buy at the store have, therefore dont last longer than 2 weeks. If you are planning to keep their meats longer, freeze or at least vacuum-seal them to enjoy longer. They are very busy, especially around holidays, but they have great products. Smoked turkey for Thanksgiving and Christmas anyone? You have to pre-order it, but it is very juicy and tasty.Absolutely the best around Atlanta!!!
I love Patak Meats they bring back memories for our family from home in germany. They are friendly and helpful. I love all there products. I have my ex family love the food too. It is fresh and delcious. If it was not for my co work telling me about this location. I would of not known. After I see them I go to Bernhards Bakery to get my german bread and other stuff I need. He is also great too.
Best butcher shop in GA. Staff is friendly if you arent an idiot. Have an idea of what you want before you come in... dont ask to try everything in the case on your first visit. You will need to exercise some patience because the lines can be long at peak times but it is so worth it. Smoked Kessler ribs, fresh Polish sausage, pepper bacon, Yum!
Long drive but you cant beat the prices. Load up while there then break it down into smaller bags and throw them in the freezer. Nice Ribeyes and NY Strips. Cheeses can be found for less elsewhere. If you are looking for something specific you may want to call ahead first.Eat before you get here or you might walk out with more than you expected to buy. Samples are given on most items.
Great selection of meat products. However the advertising and the on-line price list is a ruse. Nothing was priced as advertised and the management staff had rehearsed responses. When I mentioned the huge discrepancy in the pricing, the manager actually became very offensive. First and last visit.
Long haul, totally worth it.We drove the hour over there and it was so worth it. Great selection, decent and quick service and we were out and the price tag was, well... NICE! So much cheaper buying directly than from 3rd party vendors in the ATL area. Make the trip, save some dough, and enjoy some serious charcuterie! Will be back.
Prices and quality better than big main stores, friendly and helpful staff, choices for the tame and adventurous alike, many sweets and extras, and the place just smells fantastic inside and out. They also take advance request orders for specialty items you may want on holidays. Id give it 6 stars if I could.
I have been a customer of Pataks for years. It has gotten to the point where I am expected to bring Patak meats to every family gathering, risking great disappointment if I fail to do so. In all these years I have never gotten bad food, never felt I overpaid, never been disappointed with the service and people there. An Atlanta treasure.
The wife and I agreed that neither of us can come here by ourselves. If we do, well blow our whole paycheck here. The smell hits you like a bacon wrapped hammer as soon as you walk in the door. It has that oh so wonderful smokehouse smell. My family is from rural Illinois/Iowa and there are German markets all over the place there and this place is every bit as good as any of those places.
They really have the meats!!! The meats are the best you will get in GA to me . Fresh and smells awsome!! Im part German and I love to come here to get a taste of Europe right in my town. Customer service is a f, but hey they got the best European meats in town so I still love it.
At Clara Beatty (the first post on this page). Its interesting that of all the reviews here, you were only one of two or three that had a negative comment about the service. I go here frequently and not only are their products and prices outstanding, but the service is excellent. These girls are ran ragged trying to keep up with the always long line of customers waiting. Ive been in line behind Royalty like you before, thinking they should get some kind of preferential treatment. I hope your quote of Im not sure why, as I am a customer like everyone else. I will not be returning due to poor customer service I received both times. I will not shop where I do not feel welcomed, is applauded by them, as it is by me. Please DONT COME BACK.!!
I live in Austell and visit Patak at least twice a month, sometimes three times. Customer service and cleanliness is key with me and theirs is tops. So they are not always super friendly. Of course not! They are busy and have no time to chit chat. Ever try pepper bacon? Try it! How about hot Italian sausage! Salami anyone? Juicy fresh tender chuck? Oh, and the port chops, so fresh! Lastly, very little preservatives and sodium and reasonable prices! Everything is mouthwatering. and finger licking good!
Went there today for the first time and was disappointed. The stuff was not friendly at all. Two employees were arguing in their native language which I also speak and understand. They didnt have prices on fresh meat. I asked why and the answer I got was the price change every day and they cant write new price every day. 😳 What answer is that?!Did buy some smoked meat and its good, but will not go back.
My family has been going here for 15+ years. For the meats (only) not the service and definitely not for any of the grocery items. Why would they sell 2 week old Rye bread from Dimplemeir for $8.00 (8 slices) that cost less than $3.00 at the bakery. Im very familiar with that bakery from Toronto Canada I grew up down the street from it.This place is as good as it gets for the area. Anyone from the Midwest or Northeast will get quality fresh cuts of meats at reasonable prices. Labor day and Memorial day, Thanksgiving and Christmas weekends will be extremely busy not uncommon to see cars with plates from FL and other surrounding states.
I wish I could give 2 separate reviews for this place. Because the food is 5 star. The customer service is awful!!! Everything you ask for is a bother. They rush you. They are pushy and unhelpful. They talk amongst themselves and dont hear you speak and then get mad at you for it. They act as if they are doing you a favor by being at their job. They wont explain some of the meats to new comers. The cashier yelled at me because I didnt get my wallet in my purse fast enough. EveeyoEv of them were snippy. The food is good enough to stand with the masses and wait in long lines, but the customer service is going to stop my going. Im sick of thier rudeness.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I found this place after a friend of mine, (originally) from Germany, said it was legit and he tries to go whenever he travels to Atlanta for work.Pataks is awesome. Plain and simple. There are so many different kinds of meat from bratwurst to blutwurst, kabanos to head cheese with some treats, cheeses, breads, and sauces to add on to it all. Prices are nice, meat is quality stuff, and the staff has been friendly and helpful every time I have gone, but your results may vary.I love this place!
Patak Meats. This is a European style butcher shop featuring excellent meats, hams, salami, sausages, cheeses, breads, chocolates/sweets. As a person who grew up in Germany eating German sausages, salami, liverwurst, hams - this place is authentic as it gets. Excellent selection of authentic salami - German, Russian, Swiss, Hungarian style . German Black Forest ham (Schinken), Bratwurst, Weisswurst, Knockwurst, Landjaeger, Kabonos, Andouille, wieners, and more. Liverwurst (both smoked and fine), Kaessler ribs, Handkaes, headcheese, more. I cant stress enough how authentic this place is. I think the owner/employees are from eastern Europe. The store is West/SW of Atlanta in Austell, and is always busy, especially shortly before holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc). During the holidays the line is out the door and Ive waited an hour to get in. But worth it! so worth it. If you are European/ex-pat and are used to eating German-style meats and sausages, this is the place. Ive talked to people while waiting in line, and some have told me they come from 3 states over and drive 8 hours just to purchase from this store. Highly recommended!
The meats are fantastic! Pricedls are OK. Parking is terrible. Lines to get served for the most part are Terrible, whatever you do, dont show up before holidays, unless you have about an hour to kill in the lines. If youd like to try something new and or unique, pick some stuff off of the shelfs, most are good stuff.
We would like to thank to Clodine very much for her help during our shopping today, she was extremely helpful and recommended the right meats we were looking for. We knew the names in Czech and German language only. We were shopping for a Czech group- so the list was loooong. We were so happy that she translated for us what google couldn’t.
Im so disappointed about their products, especially with meat, sausages,, bought two sausages and they repackaged them cleaned from rotten spots and sealed again, was 2 big spoiled nasty spots all around that meat, so will never go back to that store, they dont check their products for expiration dates,, will never recommend this store. wish I could post those pictures.
A part of me wants to keep this place a secret, but the business is so great I also want to wish them all the success in the world. The food is absolutely top notch, and the prices are so much lower than even the lowest quality comparables from a grocery store. If you have never been to Patak, you should check their hours first. They are a family business so the hours are different. Also, dont come if you are in a hurry. I go at the same time on the same day every few weeks. Sometimes Im in and out in no time. Other times the line looks like communist bread line wrapped around the outside of the building and through the parking lot. But, it sure is worth it!
This place is quite unique you have the best fresh cuts of pork along with some of the best smoked meats along with a variety of items you will fall in love with... Not only are they sanitized clean and on point with any customers needs the staff is very open and welcoming to help you in finding what you want or maybe even something you didnt even know about but definitely one of the best if not the best spots in Georgia...SDW...
Best butcher shop in the area. However, the parking is a huge problem getting in and out especially since it is a popular place to get meat and the lot is small. It is worth the wait to get top notch meats and cheese with a huge selection. The service is top notch despite the huge crowds.
My family and I moved to Atlanta in 1992 from Poland when I was 4 years old. And ever since I can remember we have shopped at Patak for authentic european meats. I would even dare say that a lot of their meats are better then what you will find Poland/Hungary/Germany! You would also think that a place like this would be expensive... absolutely not! They tend to be better priced then even local grocery stores. They also carry a nice range of Polish/Russian/German/European products suck as canned goods, pierogi, chocolates/candies, etc. Have been coming here for over 25+ years and will continue to do so!
A good variety of unique meets we love the Smokies Italian sausage fresh ground chuck and the deli meatsThe price of the quality is unmatched a hidden gem if the Austell area.you do have to be aware of the times to avoid a walk why. The holidays are an absolute disaster waiting hours to get through.
The meats, cold meats, sausages and bacon are out of this world. This place is amazing, but service does not exist. They had a sister pair working here some years back that ran that place like a clock, now it is a free for all. The meats are from Europe but unfortunately so is the service. Would I go back... without a doubt just guess we will have to live with the horrible service
Meat Meat Meat!I love this place. Try the rosemary roasted chicken! Once you’ve had their sausage, hotdogs, bacon, everything else will taste like garbage.😭 reasonable prices! I would check their online menu before you go bc it gets real once you get to you’re turn in line!
I just tried to go by the butcher for the first time, and I was told that if I wasn’t there before 5 PM I couldn’t buy anything. I was set to arrive at 5:01 PM, so this was an issue for them. I completely understand that I’m one minute late, but I assumed that if I only took maybe five minutes it would be OK
So, our experience at the store today was totally ruined.1)Every single item of the meats wasnt price labeled, but it wasnt the big deal till we started ordering stuff.I dont know what is going on between the employees, but what i saw today really shocked me for the 1st time after many years coming to the store. It was like all the employees split up in to 2 groups and one doesnt talk to the other. So, when i asked for my order one of the workers passed the basket to the other and they argued who is going to do the order picking and cashing customer out.!!!!Very unpleasant experience.Hopefully managers can get the issue fix, otherwise coming all the way from Gwinnett to see the drama is not on my list.
I almost hate to mention what a jewel this shop is. Ive been twice, The first time I bought cooked brats made of beef and pork, a light almost blond color. They were fantastic cooked with some sauerkraut I had rinsed and cooked in white wine. The other brat I purchased was an uncooked beef and pork one which I liked even better. I bought a 3.5 pound smoked Boston butt for $11 which smells wonderful but I havent tried yet, a smoked pig knuckle that had just come out of their smoker, and when I took a bite, I thought it was the best meat I had ever tasted. I also got a piece of Bohemian salami that was very clean tasting, probably somewhat spicy for younger palates, the best Ive ever had outside of Bloomsburg, PA. I tried to go back yesterday which was the Friday before the 4th of July weekend, and couldnt get into the parking lot easily it was so crowded, so I vowed to go bake today! One last comment and then Ill shut up. I hadnt eaten all day and as I was checking out I spied one lonely cannoli. I see what people see in a New York City cannoli now, I almost wrecked on the way home I was so ecstatic! Anyway, Ive said too much and now Im probably going to be standing in line behind some of you!
Went to Fort Benning to visit my daughter...I was so excited had planned this trip for months. Was so hurt by the cold treatment and sorry customer service...They were very impatient. Came thirty minutes before closing with a 200 dollar order. Clearly wanted us out...turned out the lights before i had my bags off the counter. They closed st 6...it was 6:05. I had planned on returning for German friends that are retired from Army and German Airforce but I decided that I will give my business to some one else. Obviously they dont need my money. Wont send my daughter either. I rather ship it overnight from another butcher. All i can say is I have never seen so many miserable old women in one place. There was a young friendly blonde out of tbe bunch that made the disappointment bearable.
Traveling over 200 miles occasional to get the meat once happened I got there 5 minutes after they closed. One single employee was inside ready to leave. She open the door for me. I explain where I am from and she talked with her boss and let me buy some.Thank you PatakIll be back!!!!!!
Stick with the meats...Not bad, Great if you want their opinion....Your Does not count.I purchased Herring from the cooler and it was Really Bad. I questioned them before I purchased, but they can do No Wrong. Ask them yourself. When I called to complain, I was met with and extremely rude and hard to understand female individual. I called back for the manager and was given the lady who answers the phone...obviously the screener........She like the first woman told me that the Herring was good and if I did not like the product, then it was not their concern....They would not even exchange for another item.I insisted on Speaking with the manger/owner, left my name and telephone number.Still no return call.....two weeks later......Customer Service simply Does Not Exist at Patak, so once you purchase, you are on your own............Burn me after years of patronage....Shame on You...........

2022-03-01I am German and have been looking for a good Fleischkäse that tastes like what I am used to from Germany. We have a German butcher in Dallas, but the Fleischkäse is just not good. I placed my first order last week and received the order today and made one right away. I was so impressed as it tastes exactly like Germany, even my husband said that’s the best one he has had in the US besides Germany. The packaging was so good that even after 5 days transit it the Fleischkäse was still ice cold. I’ve already recommended you to my other German friends here in Dallas

2021-01-16I’ve been shopping here monthly for over a year. I like getting fresh meat. I mostly only buy bacon. Best tasting bacon I’ve eaten. But, you have to watch how they slice it. A lot of times I get short ends, which is nothing but fat. I hate paying $9.64 for about $5.00 worth of bacon. The bacon in the container is great. The short pieces on the paper towel are 90% fat.

2022-03-15I have always loved this store. I walk in and everything smells like in Germany / Europe :) The quality is outstanding. I have now started to order online. Everyone is super professional and friendly. Can’t wait to hopefully go back in person very soon

2022-02-03Once a friend told me about the store, Ive been a regular customer since 1995. The recent fire 🔥 has caused the store to close more frequently but after all repairs are complete the store should be able to return to full service. This place is amazing to say the least.

2021-02-28Fantastic meat shop! Lots of authentic European meats and prepared foods, as well as pantry items and candy! Friendly service and extremely clean facility.I was impressed by their sausage selection. The smoked pork chops are delicious and moist and they had head cheese! Squeee! I will take a pass on the Fleischkäse and blood sausage next time though. In fairness, I am not sure what Fleischkäse is supposed to be like, but I would describe it as baked bologna. The blood sausage was mealy and bland and I prefer other types of blood sausage. The Polish kielbasa is great here, as are the German wieners. The lovely German woman (Claudia?) who works here hand-wrote instructions for me on how to bake the meatloaf I bought. What exceptional service! The caviar cream is to-die-for!I highly recommend making the trip here.

2020-02-14Great butcher shop. So many great choices, hard to decide what to get. Smoked Pork Chops are to die for... Smoked products are great too. Sausage options are plentiful. Really hard to describe everything available. Steak cuts are beautiful, Pork chops, loin, chicken breast, chicken wings, etc. Bacon options cut to order. Nice cheese choices, pickled herring, pierogies, lamb leg, liver, pate, breads, sauerkraut, knorr products, chocolates from Europe, etc. Quality is really what you get here. Service is awesome too. The building and parking lot were all renovated and are really nice. Even have electric car charging available. Take the time to go check this place out, it will be well worth it.

2021-04-08Our nephew and his German wife have been down so Great excuse to go to Patak. The meat options are hughe, fresh and very competitively priced with a large staff of ladies to help you make decisions and cut and pack your meats. The packing, smoking and processing facility are all there at the same location. Their European breads are baked and brought in daily and nothing like them. There are so many meats to choose from. Bring coolers. Fresh bratwurst, German bologna to die for, blood and tongue, liverwurst, Polish Ham, Smoked Canadian Bacon, Smoked Salmon and other Fish, Ribeyes, Ground Beef, Chicken, Lamb, German Kraut, German Chocolates. There must be at least 70 packed meats like liverwurst and German Bologna. Just too much to name here BUT these people are from God. I decided last night that I will go there weekly from now on for most of our meat options. The rest, Ingles or a meat packing house in Hiram that dresses deer and boar. I have known this place for 29 years. My neighbors, husband was 100 % Italian (15 years Army - 20 years NAVY) and his wife was 100% German. They went there weekly for all their meats and would invite me over for dinner on a regular basis. My nephews wife grew up in Poland and Germany and when in town this is the last stop with coolers before going back to Fayettville NC. 20 years Army and now with military contractor.vvtraveled the world, German food us his favorite and he like my neighbors, say PATAK goes head to head with anything in Germany.

2018-07-09We have been shopping at Pataks Butchery for years. This place is a gem. They smoke their own meat and my personal favorites, are the sliced, smoked turkey sandwich meat, and theyre homemade and smoked kabanos. That being said everything is good. The German bologna is fantastic, and I dont even like bologna. The ham is good, theyre havarti is excellent. Pastrami, roast beef, sweet Italian sausage to add to your pasta sauce... pretty much every meat and cheese they sell here is better than you can buy most American places. The prices are affordable, cheaper than Kroger, for meat that is by far superior in terms of flavor, and wholesomeness. Do yourself a favor

2019-11-27I love to come here whenever Im visiting my friends in Atlanta, Its been like 14 years or something. Great place if you like meat products! Customer service is ok now, I remember it was worse years ago from my experience. New store is amazing. Prices is alright. After few last visits I noticed that all sausages, garlic salami and bacon slab are VERY SALTY, way too salty, for those who watch it I wouldnt recomend, Its only that I dont like is that way to salty. Please use less salt.
