Worst customer service in a truck shop I went in for bad fuel and stayed there for over two weeks the service writers are rude if your truck under warranty they will find something wrong with it that warranty does not cover to get money out of you don’t go to this dealership they will rip you off and have you waiting on your truck for weeks on a simple repair customers beware…
I am from Africa and I never expected in my life to see such a bunch of lazy employees in my life in the united states of America,The is a very excellent sample of the definition of what lazy meansOMG, literally they are at the office to make upset their customer. Period
The parts department is absolutely terrible at answering the phone the only person there that ever seems to answer the phone is Becky and shes great but I was literally sitting on hold for 2 hours and had to call the service side to get anyone to answer the phone and they had to go to the parts department to get someone to answer and when they transferred me over no one answered the phone even then if I didnt need to go to freightliner for the parts on our freightliner trucks I wouldnt willingly send my business there. I had to get the phone number off the reviews to get the number for the manager to get a call back.
Owning a repair shop is hard when you cant get the parts needed. This location is the closest Freightliner dealership near our shop. Every time I call to order parts I end up on hold for at least a hour, usually longer. Im stuck using them because I have no closer dealership near me. My shop also offers road side assistance and sometimes parts are an emergency...its terrible being in an emergency on the interstate and waiting over an hour just to order parts. Plenty of times I have went to pick-up parts and waited over a hour before being helped.
I had to have my truck towed to Peach State from another shop which I found was incapable of repairing my truck with transmission problems. Long story. Peach State was willing to take my truck in the bad condition the other shop had it in. Peach State accepted my truck with transmission out and parts in a box, all this after the other shop having it for nearly 3 weeks and no end in sight. As any driver knows down time is costly. Thanks Peach State for getting me back in the game
Everytime I call this location i end up on hold for a minimum of an hour but usually 2 plus hours everytime. I work for a mechanics shop so we are constantly calling this location as they are the closest to us. The other problem I have is when they do finally answer and tell us they have the part for us they have a tendency to get us the wrong part I dont have this problem out of volvo rush or peterbilt. Please get it together freightliner we are trying to make money and keep you guys included.
I rarely give a review, but felt like I should give credit where its due. Ive been trucking a long time, and this place was probably the best experience Ive had with a dealership. They were professional, prompt, and thorough. Service manager gave frequent updates on the status of the truck, which in its self is rare. But the fact he was a straight shooter, was even more refreshing
I had to rate at o ad 1 star to write a reveliew. Needed estimate for service tech said I had to bring truck in which I understand I called parts to make sur they had parts I needed. After 24 min on hold I hung up to call the operator. Operator never answered the phone. Dont sound like a place I want to do business with.
We left our truck here for service. They fixed our semi truck, but we never knew when it was going to be done. They just kept telling us I will let you know tomorrow, then tomorrow would come and same story. Lady that claimed to be manager was rude with the foreigners but the real management was nice with our american co-workers. The main garage manager Kevin was a good guy, but they are lacking in some areas and could really use improvement on their customer service issues. Maybe take the time to hear what the customer is asking before yelling.
Peach State Truck Centers was great. We were called out there to perform a Semi Truck heavy duty mobile roadside assistance battery jumpstart service for a 2016 Freightliner semi-truck with 4 dead batteries. We jump-started the truck with no problem and it only took approximately 12 minutes for the truck to start. The people there were friendly and helpful. We would recommend this place to anyone looking to store, park and secure their semi truck.
Would not honor national program discounts that were authorized through there distributor for repairs. Continously having to bring units back after repair jobs to address missed items. Quality control needs to be stepped up a notch and personnel need to be educated on all service offerings.
We brought a Freightliner here for major repairs. The truck was repaired within 2 weeks...except for 1 part. That 1 part...was shipped and arriving...then did not arrive. Turns out it wasnt shipped. It wasnt made. Then it was being shipped. But no! It wasnt shipped. Each step of the way we received no communication from this dealership. Every time we had to contact them to ask for a status update. So after 6 wasted days, they suggested a work-around. Why did it take a week before they thought of a work-around?Bottom line: Poor communication, no initiative, lies, lies and more lies...and then the Service Manager claimed they really couldnt do anything since the supply chain has been so challenging because of COVID-19. Seriously?! The problem with this dealership isnt a pandemic. The problem is: Poor communication, no initiative, lies, lies and more lies! STEER CLEAR OF THIS ONE, if you want to get your truck fixed in a timely fashion, or even if youd like to hear the truth of what is going on with your truck.
Customer service was the worse ever. I explained to the lady at the service desk about the problems with my truck. She said ok. She asked where did I park the truck? I replied, the truck keeps shutting off bc of no oil and that I had to put 40 quarts in it just to get here. Even trying to get it here it kept cutting off. Instead of her asking if a tech can assist me with getting more oil to get it to the back to drop the trailer, she insisted that I do it myself. Told me I can not get serviced until I figure out how to get my truck disconnected from the trailer. This has to be the most craziest customer service at a dealership. I have never been treated so badly in my life. She was of no good help to me and should not even work in customer service. She also having a personal conversation on her person cell phone the two times I came into the office. I hope this helps other drivers to know what type of service you all will receive at this location. If my truck could move without shutting off I would have went to another dealership. I dread having to speak with her later about the problems with my truck 😩Day 2 I’m still here at this dealership. I called this morning to see what the status was on my truck. They lady at the front desk lied and said they were waiting for the company to approve the next step. Which in fact the company approved the next step yesterday before they closed. No one gives you a direct answer here. No one seems to want to tell you exactly what is going on and everyone just seems to be sitting around doing nothing. So now that they have the approval I am being told that now they are waiting to put an available technician on my truck. Still no word on what the real issue is with my truck. They have yet to find the issues as to why my truck is leaking oil. I now understand why so many people complain about this dealership. I wish I had looked at the reviews first before deciding to come here. Let’s see what Day 3 will be like...
I’ll give these guys a 5 star review. This was the first time in 15 years that a Freightliners has done repairs in 3 days time. It has always been 2 weeks every time I’ve had to check the truck into one. Good job you guys. They even had room to drop the trailer. Office oersonell/service dept were very friendly and helpful. The next time my truck needs repairs it coming back to you guys. Thanks for the help I will definitely refer other drivers here
They dont take appointments for repairs or oil changes. A repair that was billed and paid for and said to be complete was not and I cant even make an appointment to get that taken care of. Shouldnt have to wait to get a repair completed correctly that was supposed to be taken care of the first time the truck was in their shop. They didnt have to wait to get paid, I shouldnt have to wait and lose truck time for them to hopefully get it right.
I arrived at Peach State Freightliner on 5/20/19 at 11:30 am to have my dpf filters baked or replaced. Come to find out the ash count just need to be replaced and the mechanic found two oil leakes, one around the timing cover and one around the crankcase breather. The following day the repairs were completed and my truck was put on the ready line. For the next three hours the only thing they would tell me was they dont have the paperwork yet. I had to go to the man in charge at the time to get my truck back which is very un acceptable. I WILL NOT be coming back to this location.
Service staff should not work with the public. Rude, condenscending, not helpful AT ALL! I called ahead around, 715am to see if my truck was done, I was told by the service staff that it was, just needed paperwork processed. I arrived after 8, my truck wasnt even assigned to a tech until afyer I got there! Im still sitting here and its now 317pm, afyer asking MULTIPLE times, finally found out they didnt even have a email for my company to send the paperwork! This service staffis a f****** joke and needs people in there that actually want a job.
Worst possible place ever. My husband and I took our truck for a simple repairThey held the truck for a month. Every day, they came up with another lame excuse. They work 8-6 Monday thru Friday . We were forced to wait. After spending $4700.00 and 1 month later for a simple repair. We got our truck back, they didnt even do a good job. Worst possible place ever. If there was a zero that would have been my score.
This is strictly on behalf of whoever is answering the phone in the parts department. Horrible horrible customer service. I run a business and expect some kind of professionalism and the guy answering the phone has none of it. Just about helpful as a rock. Really was useless and unhelpful.
This happened over 2 years ago. Went in for low oil pressure. Peach State Freightliner Austell recommended new connecting rods and bearings. Some of the bearings were incorrectly installed. Resulting in another breakdown months later and the crankshaft being chewed up.
Couldnt fix my truck. I took it back for 4 months. This all 2019, 2020.. i lost a lot of money from truck down. When I did take it back they just look at it and delete the code. And it would come back on. Bad customer service. The people in parts have bad customer service stills.
When you are at your lowest point as a Owner Operator this locations seem to be only interested in billable hours. The experience was so horrible I decided to get out of the business. Just some simple advise to your staff If the value exceeds the cost a customer will pay what you charge. I truly hate how I was treated and overcharged for a repair that wasnt even needed . your better off selling heroin
Be warned of these yahoos as well as others From this same company “Peach State Truck Centers” in the area, DO NOT work on RV’s even if your RV sits on a Custom Freightliner Chassis! They DO NOT have the proper technicians or skills and they also have extremely poor manners and phone etiquette unless you are bringing in a tractor trailer. They will make you go to what they call their “Specialty Location” in Forrest Park. Even though Freightliner Custom Chassis has this company listed on there 24/7 website, don’t waste your time with these clowns if you need work done on your Motor Coach Freightliner Custom Chassis. There are much more professional places to take your RV!
Dishonest scam artists. We took our 2015 Freightliner in for DEF system servicing, and ended up with a 5K repair bill, BUT THEY DIDNT ACTUALLY FIX THE PROBLEM!! They merely disabled the code from a faulty sensor. This caused a full break down, an $800 tow, and additional repair costs from a respectable repair center who was able to expose their fraud.
Disrespect you.. Act as if you trash if you are a driver. Never will go here again. As for the work preformed Ill get back on that. Just pick our truck up.You ask to reach out to you yet no information on how. Or who to speak with. I see it said owner of Peach State Freightliner.
Place is a joke. Spent 3 weeks in there. Had the audacity to tell me that they spend 20 hours on it. After it been in there for 3 weeks. Then end up charging me 8k. Driver went to go pick up. Doesnt start. They had to jumpstart it. So in the end nothing been fixed. This place is a disaster.
If your main focus is to make money and your truck just happens to break down, this is the last place you wont your truck to be at! (Worthless). Brought my truck in for a simple clutch adjustment and the tech pulled my truck in saw that I had a leak around the transmission and advised me. I gave the approval to pull transmission to see where leak was coming from and they just pulled my truck out and went to the next job. A week went by and they still hadnt touched my truck, so I came in to close the work order out and took the truck to MHC Kenworth and they had me in and out within several hours. (Simple clutch adjustment & rear output seal leak).
When I called on Tuesday , they told me they could put a clutch in Friday. When I arrived, they told me they only work on newer trucks. Clerk asked foreman who said they would fix clutch but drivetrain repairs were 2 week backed up. Apparently clutches arent part of the drivetrain on newer trucks. Absolute waste of time. This place shouldnt even have the freightliner logo on it.
I am the owner of the worlds only replica of the AOE Optimus Prime truck from Transformers (social media keyword search Optimus Is Here). We had an event last weekend in Atlanta which required a 13-hour drive through weather and bugs.Whenever we reach a destination, Im faced with the daunting task of cleaning Optimus with minimal supplies. OP has a very large surface area which takes quite a lot of time since it is all done by hand. And it requires access to basic necessities such as a water hose and ladder. That is why I am grateful to my Kevin and my new friends at Peach State. They were gracious enough to bring OP into their wash bay at the Austell location so I could get him ready for the comic con in downtown Atlanta. They supplied everything I needed without hesitation, and were more than accommodating during my time there. Their wash bay area was the perfect size, and the shop itself seemed immaculately clean.Though our visit to their Austell location was short, I would have no problem coming back to these guys again when we are in the area. So my sincerest thank you to Kevin and everyone at Peach State for the hospitality last week. Optimus and his driver are forever grateful! -Joe

2022-04-12They cant install the parts they sale. Prepare to have your truck blocked in and get the royal treatment by staff. They all act as one giant unit to customers. Getting a simple hose from the parts department is beyond their level of service. They will waste your time and leave your business broken down on the side of the road due to their incompetence. No manager is available... Big surprise. Do you clowns even think I would consider buying a truck from you if you cant even supply a simple hose. Buy Kennworth or Tonka these people are jokes and political tool bags.

2022-03-17Im here almost daily to get parts. Grant, Marcelouse, and Ralph are good guys. Well, Im pretty sure Ralph works part time at swinging Richards but we wont hold that against him. They always make sure to get me the parts we need and create a good environment doing business.

2022-04-02When I took the truck in I told the lady in the service area that there was a leak, maybe a fuel leak. Ask them to do a diagnosis and to fix whatever is wrong. These guys told me there was a axel boot seal that was the problem and it was under warranty. No problem. I called them almost every day for 2 weeks and finally was told the truck was ready. I went to pick. up the truck and its still leaking. Now Im confused because on my invoice copy it states that they found the leak among other issues but nothing was done, and I was never informed. When I asked why that was not done I was told, they didnt know I wanted it to be done. Huh? So why did i bring my truck there? After some back and forth I was finally told my truck has a caterpillar engine and they are not certified to work on it. Again, I talked to these guys almost every day for 2 weeks and nobody thought to tell me the customer, hey were not certified to work on your engine. I had to find out when I went to pick up the truck. Now Ive lost 2 weeks and my truck still isnt fixed. Ive never had this kind of experience at any repair shop before. Never.

2022-06-13Horrible service from front desk lady in service. Same lady that answers the phones in service. She’s nice until she’s not. They are slow to fix vehicles and charge $200/hr for diagnostics. They charged 6 hrs for diagnosing an a/c issue. Then tried charging an additional 2hrs b/c they claim they need more time to diagnose. I declined the remaining service after being charged $1,000. Took these people 2 days to give me my vehicle back. They had my truck for a total of 7 days and didn’t do much of anything. Never returning here. I’m sure they will respond with “I’m sorry”. Trust me! They are not sorry!Update 2 weeks after above post:I went to another company just as big as Freightliner but I won’t disclose the name. They looked at my vehicle and said the issue was my compressor. They did not charge me anything for the diagnostics. What Freightliner was trying to charge me $4,500 for cost me $1300 at this place and that’s including parts and labor. My truck a/c has been working perfectly fine since then. Again, don’t let this place service your vehicle. Only buy your parts from them and take it somewhere else to be fixed. Their mechanics are trash and they charge for every little thing.

2020-07-25Things were good here until they failed to mention they broke the hood on my cascadia. I opened it to check the fluids and it literally fell and I couldnt close it. I had to have the tech at Loves help me close it. Ill never come there again. They could have either fixed it or said something. That explains all the greasy handprints on both sides by the latches. They had to have trouble closing it....you can see the greasy handprints on the photo!

2022-02-28Absolutely horrible to deal with along with Norcross. Make no mistake, Freightliner Austell and Norcross couldn’t care less about their customers. For 3 days in a row I’ve stayed on hold for over an hour trying to get ahold of parts. Usually the system just hangs up on you. The other day I called at 330 pm and waited on hold until they shut the phones off at closing time (5pm). I’ll never buy another Freightliner in my life only because of these places. They consistently cost me money because of downtime sitting on hold, and cost me the pure frustration of trying to get parts for my trucks. Never again.
