Peachtree Immediate Care - Athens in other cities:
The staff does not care one bit about you or the care you receive. Waited over an hour with only two people ahead of me. Doctor was rude and literally did NOTHING nor listen to my concerns about antibiotics. $175 for leaving in tears with nothing but antibiotics that will make me sick.Roach in the lobby, filthy restrooms, filthy floors and walls. Do NOT trust the reviews, they’re obviously not real.
Waited 2 hours for someone to draw blood. The guy who drew my blood was obviously new at this and learning, while I completely understand hes learning he tore my arms up and made me bleed everywhere. He didnt even know to take the tie off my arm for blood to flow so it took forever. Most importantly when my results came in they told me I was positive for something, when I got a 2nd opinion. That dr said its absolutely negative and that they didnt read the test correctly. Some of these tests that show positive could be life changing for some people so I think its highly important to know how to read them. I couldnt imagine someone getting tested for something deadly and them telling them its positive when its not, so scary.
The doctor who saw me (i believe his name was jacob?) was incredibly kind. he helped explain what my symptoms could be related to and how to help them on my own. i really felt listened to. at the end, when i was still feeling unsure after he examined me, he asked me what i wanted him to do while i was there for my peace of mind. thank you!
Last place to take your kids to, if I could I would give it a zero. I took my child on a Saturday with a horrible eye infection, they didnt give me anything for him. By Monday my child was hospitalized with an infection close to his brain and in a very delicate condition, needless to say he was hospitalized for 4 days and on serious antibiotics. Please do yourself a favor and dont waste your time nor put your life in danger by trusting facilities like this one.
My father in law had scraped his arm very bad. I was so thankful the wait to see someone was not long at all . We go to see someone in less than 10 minutes. It was to bad scrap that it couldn’t be handled there, we had to go the the ER at StMary’s . All the staff we met at that time were very nice. Thank you
I went here to get a TDAP vaccine during my 8 th month of pregnancy. I was told on the phone I could get this vaccine and that they took my insurance. When I arrived however, I was told they needed a statement from my midwives clinic that said it was medically necessary. I could have gotten that for them if they had told me this when I called. But since I went to their urgent care at 4:45, and the midwives close at 5- I couldn’t get them on the phone. The provider refused to see me so I went home. I found the papers from my midwives at home stating that I needed the TDAP and why it was medically necessary. I sent photos of the papers to the urgent care. They called me back and told me the provider will no longer consider giving me the TDAP vaccine. That it was off the table. Why???? Why would they deny a pregnant woman a vaccine to help her baby? It is one thing to say that you need a specific statement from them, I understand that. But to deny me the vaccine after I was trying so hard to facilitate their request felt like a slap in the face and unjustified. My question is: is this behavior legal? ***I would like to add that the front desk staff was very kind and professional and were only relaying to me what was being told to them by the provider.
I’ve had two wildly different experiences here.1. I scheduled a visit for a rapid covid test during September 2021 which took a total of 3 hours. I noticed some of the medical assistants and the front desk clerk leave during their shift to grab food while 5+ people were in the waiting room. The doctor that day seemed very scattered and did not understand the system in place in the office. The doctor and the medical assistants seemed to be experiencing miscommunication in front of me which felt very unprofessional. I also was prescribed medicine and found out it was never sent to my pharmacy and it took calling 8 times to get in touch with the urgent care in order for them to send it over. Overall, horrible experience.2. Just this weekend, I was able to walk in and was seen in under an hour. The medical assistant was kind and helpful and the doctor was caring and knowledgeable. They had me diagnosed and out in about an hour. Felt like a typical amount of time I’ve spent at urgent care in the past. Overall, pretty good and normal experience.Moral of the story is that the experience definitely depends on the how many people are waiting and also the people working on that particular day. Luck of the draw.
After spending much of Sunday morning in the ER for vomiting and a headache, I woke up in the afternoon w a fever and decided to go to urgent care. They tested me for everything the ER didn’t-Covid strep and the flu. And I was negative for all of them. Upon a physical exam, the PA whose name I wish I could remember was immediately concerned by my lower right stomach pain and thought I could have appendicitis. From there we were told to head to an ER back home where a CT scan pointed towards appendicitis and I had surgery the next morning. It’s been a long week at home post op and I’m still recovering but my pain is gone and I have Peachtree to thank!!
There was not a long wait when I went. They checked me in fairly quickly and the whole appointment took less than an hour (which is far better than most urgent cares and the hospital in town). They handled my medication allergies and provided guidance on how to deal with my illness. Overall, I would definitely go back. I would call ahead of time and check if they accept your insurance because they do have some specific rules about how insurance can cover your visit.
I brought my son in there to be seen he just got over Covid he was running a 102.3 fever he’s know got the flu. The medical assistant was really nice and very informative. The doctor mrs . Lerma was very nice taking her time to listen to my concerns about my son . Great job thanks you very much will be back in the future!!!!!!
I was a walk in. I was told that the wait would be about an hour. That was fairly accurate. I was seen by a very professional person who took my vitals and swabed my nose. I waited the 15 minutes for the results. A different person came in, gave me the results and did another swab. The second swab was to be sent in and I was given instructions on how to get the results. I would give credit to both who attended to me, but neither had a name tag nor did they introduce themselves. My only concern is if this test is also negative, how do I go about getting a RX for a antibiotic.
Making an appointment online was easy and I had no wait when the time came for my visit. I needed a weekend appointment and that was no problem with lots of time slots available to chose from. The staff was friendly and attentive. I was in and out in 30 minutes including the time it took to get X-rays of my wrist and elbow. I would definitely visit again should the need arise. Thanks for the great service!
I came in for a sore throat and sinus infection and was prescribed antibiotics and 2 days after finishing the medicine my sore throat came back so I went for a follow up. There were no online reservations so I went at 9:30 am for a walk-in and was told to come back at 12:45 pm. When I returned a little before 12:45, I was told that I had to come back at 2 instead. I reminded the woman at the desk that she had told me to return at this time and further asked if I could just wait in the waiting room until then and she explained that it was a really long time to wait. I told her I didn’t mind waiting I just wanted to be seen and she then told me I wasn’t allowed to wait in the waiting room and I’d have to return at 2 however it’s first come first serve so there is no guarantee. Overall, staff is extremely rude and I am unhappy with the first diagnosis as the prescription did not help my illness.
The staff is top notch, friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and curtious! This facility is impressively clean, I would sleep on the floor! Very quick to diagnose and to recommend treatment. I would refer them to any one within 30 miles of the Athens area. Well organized and professional. Thanks again.
I went to another clinic last week where I tested positive. They were very brief with my visit and acted like they did not care at all. All they did was swab my nose and hand me my results with no information of what steps to take towards recovery. I felt like they were more focused on collecting my money more than anything as they do not file insurance for you. Before returning to work I had to test negative so I went to Peachtree Immediate Care. There, they checked my vitals, asked about my symptoms, and genuinely acted like they cared. They also file your insurance for you. Thank you so much for making my visit pleasurable and knowledgeable. Highly recommended! A++++
The process was simple and easy. Doing all of the “paperwork” online beforehand was the only time I got a bit frustrated, but it took more time to finish that than getting our Covid tests and waiting for the results. The employees were nice and upbeat. We drove about 1 hour from our home to get tested and it was worth it! I’ll probably go back to the same location to get retested later this week.I wish there was a way to make an appointment more than 24 hours out. When you know you need to go 3-4 days out, you should be able to make an appointment. That is my only complaint. Overall, I appreciate all you are doing to help people get tested and allowing folks to make appointments is the best way, I think. Thank you for all you do!
The staff was courteous and professional. The test was completed and the results were delivered within the promised 15 - 20 minute time period. I appreciate never having to leave my car and the ability to make an appointment that meets my scheduling needs. I’ve used this service twice, and will continue to do so—even though there are other sites closer to my home. The overall experience is top notch.
I was so grateful to be able to get a Covid test on the weekend! The staff were very friendly and efficient. They explained the procedure very well, so I knew exactly what to expect. The nasal swab was not nearly as uncomfortable as I anticipated. Even the wait for results was of acceptable length. The facility was a bit of a challenge to find. If you go, its in a parking lot next to the Power Partners building. Its set back from the road and I missed it the first two or three times I drove past. The signage could be better and closer to traffic.
After going to three different urgent cares, peach tree was amazing and getting me in and seen. I knew I had sprained my ankle but wanted to get it checked out just in case something was broken and the other urgent cares refuse service. The doctors and medical assistance here were amazing and the front desk receptionist was working diligently with the flood of Covid patients that needed to be tested. I cannot read enough about how great this facility treated me.
As the person below me said I also came in but at 11:00 today and was told come back at 1:00 for walk in because they were full up until then. I asked if I could sit in the lobby or she could put my name down she said no just come back at 1 so I waited in my car outside of peachtree and came in 15 minutes early so 12:45. She said they were full now for the rest of the day. I told her I was waiting in my car because you said come back at 1 she said while you were waiting others came in as walk ins. So I told her she told me to wait for two hours just to be turned down for the rest of the day. If she would have wrote my name down or let me wait inside I would’ve been first seen. She told me while you waited we had others come in that were considered walk ins as well. It just didn’t make sense as to how I was told one thing but when I confronted her about it she said you came in to late. It was probably the most ridiculous experience I have had with a front desk coordinator.
Easy to get an appointment within 24 hours. Very organized! Just upload your insurance to your account and everything is done before you arrive. Once you arrive and you check in, they perform your test. You pull around and wait in your car for your results for about 20 minutes. They bring you a paper to your car with your results to take with you. Easiest way to get a Covid test done and very accurate. No need to wait for days somewhere else..... just get online and schedule a no hassle appointment here.
The staff were great. Timing was great. The safety of taking care of me was wonderful and appropriate measures used to insure that no cross contamination was possible. My suggestions however would be to get the address corrected on your message voice mail. and make sure your signs are up correctly on-site I fixed one of them but the one with zip ties cannot work unless you move the poles closer and but some wind vents in the tarp. There you have it
I went to get tested for covid a few days ago. My husband and I were very impressed by the staff that took our information, gave us the test, and gave us our results. Each person who came to our car was very friendly and personable. We were surprised that drive through testing site personnel with a long line waiting would make the effort to relate to us.
This place refused to give me a rabies booster after being bitten by a feral cat and claimed that you cant get rabies from domestic animals in the US and theres no transmission of rabies from domestic animals to people in the US (because we have protocols to get boostered after possible exposure, not because it doesnt exist). They also did not submit my bite report to animal control. This is incredibly dangerous, the doctors and APPs at this facility clearly need more training.
Best urgent care visit hands down the doctor was amazing I wish I could use him as a primary! He listened to me and my history and treated it aggressively because he felt that it was best and I am so thankful for that because though I’m not all the way better I am less worried now and on the right meds to get well the whole visit lasted an hour I will not go anywhere else to see an urgent care now!
I injured my arm when going for a ball on a tennis court (fell and tore all layers of skin off. Ugh!). I saw Dr Kazi on Saturday morning. I was so glad I could get medical attention on the weekend without having to go to the ER. I was pleased with the care provided by Dr. Kazi, his medical assistant, and also the front-desk person.
They were very efficient and friendly from the scheduling process to getting results. I really appreciate having a place where we could get our Covid tests done quickly and get results so quickly. I appreciate the follow up consultation when we were given our results. It was very helpful. I will say that there was some confusion for my daughter and also her for roommate driving separately at 2 different times with the location not being made clear to them when they registered. Her roommate arrived too late for testing because she drove to the old site before receiving the notification text 20 min before arrival about the site being at a new location. Fortunately for my daughter she still made it in time but she had the stress of going to the wrong location first as well.
The first time I came here I didn’t have an appointment and they fit me in. Problem was I never got my results even though I paid out of pocket. I think I just got lost in translation. Second time was different they got me my results fast and it was a good experience. For the most part I would say this is a very efficient testing facility. I was slightly concerned that my nose wasn’t swabbed deep enough to get accurate results though.
Specific to COVID testing...First off, the people working the test site were great! There wasn’t a whole lot of interaction, but when there was they were polite and professional. They helped make my 6 year old daughter completely at ease with being tested. Five stars in that regard. In regards to the process, they’ve got some major issues. We had 3 appointments ranging from 1:55 to 2:12. We arrived at 1:53, and didn’t leave until 4:17. The issue being that after you test, you continue waiting in the same line for your results. For those that need hard copies I understand, but not everyone does. If you don’t, you should be able to leave immediately and wait for a phone call. If you need hard copies you should be able to pull out and go into a secondary line to wait for them. There’s plenty of room in the parking lot to allow for that. This would drastically streamline the process.
We made an appointment for a Covid test and arrived ten minutes early as required. we were checked in quickly and a nurse promptly took our temperature, checked oxygen level and swabbed our noses. Within 20 minutes we had our results. It was a great experience during this pandemic. The only negative was that the nice lady checking everyone in was overheated from working out in the sun and she was wearing her mask without covering her nose.
Absolutely abhorrent place. I tried to get a prescription refill for gout pain that they prescribed me and was constantly sent to there medical team voicemail that was completely full. No one would pick up the phone. When I finally got connected to the front desk, they flat out told me that they would not prescribe me my refill. I asked why and they just forwarded me back to the medical team voicemail that was too full to leave a message.
I love the totally online registration process! It was also very easy upon arrival. Super great to not have to get out of the car. I would say, from arrival to departure, it took about an hour. You leave with results in hand, which is perfect. Getting a rsvp spot in line was tricky a few weeks ago, but this week it was much more open. Thank you!!!!
The workers here do a great job of trying to serve all of us during difficult times, and I’m very appreciative. One of the workers I talk to you had worked for 10 straight days and yet was still serving car by car with a smile. Kudos to all of you. This line takes a long time and it’s not a quick process to get a Covid test, but they make it as convenient as they can and I appreciate the ongoing availability of it.
Update 06/15:Changing my review to 1 star after this past week. After waiting 4 days for stool sample results, Peachtree called to tell me that my stool sample was lost, and I was told I was getting referred to a gastroenterologist which would be giving me a call any day to schedule an appointment. After another 4 days with no call, I called Peachtree to check the status. The person on the phone then said I wouldnt be getting a call from a gastroenterologist until I first saw a primary care physician. All of that wasted time, and the only services I was provided by Peachtree was getting weighed, my blood oxygen level taken, and a prescription for over the counter Imodium. Although the staff are friendly, I feel like I would have been much better off going somewhere else from the beginning.Original Review:The staff was very friendly and attentive. I didnt feel like I was being rushed out of the door. I would recommend Peachtree.
I went in for a COVID test, rapid and PCR, and the experience was quick and efficient! Cameron was the MA that helped me out - he was funny, quick, and definitely knew what he was talking about. Cameron and the NP, Kelsey, made the experience super easy with no hassles. 10/10 recommend. Give these guys a pay increase!! 👍🏼
Came in for a severe allergic reaction to a medicine I was taking. The nurse practitioner, Kelsey, advised me to keep taking the medicine since they were not the doctor that prescribed it... they treated me like a junkie since I’m on a withdrawal medication. She told me that Im not on the medicine that I knew I was on. I do not recommend this place AT ALL. I just wasted the money on a copay and time to be told they couldn’t do anything since they’re not my doctor. What’s the point of an urgent care then??
Everything was good except the fact they didnt tell me my appointment time. I ended up driving there twice. The first time they told me my appointment was 5 hours from now. All day I never got an appointment time sent in a text or email, nor phone call. Other than that it was a good exp.
Easy, and efficient. The online appointment process was self explanatory and I appreciated the professionals swabbing me instead of my swabbing myself. Chose a rapid test, although there are options for what kind of test you need. Results were fast; I was in and out in under an hour.
I prefer going here to going to my regular doctor. It is quicker and more convenient. The staff are friendly and the doctors seem caring and competent. Last time I went, I had some blood drawn for diagnostic tests and the results came back very quickly. Ive come her 2 or 3 times a year for a couple of years now. Usually, Im seen within 30 minutes (much quicker than my regular doctors office) though once I did have to wait more than an hour. Ive recommended Peachtree Immediate Care my friends and my students.
The clinic is super clean; the front desk attendant seemed friendly and caring. There was to be a wait so I was given a likely time slot and simple instructions to register on line to receive updated texts when to come back. I was able to be more comfortable waiting in my home than the lobby. The assistant and the nurse practitioner listened and understood my symptoms and I was soon out and on my way to a pharmacy. I recommend this clinic, having used it several times.
As soon as I walked in, I was warmly welcomed. The waiting area looked pristine and all the staff were courteous and professional. The doctor made me feel right at home! He was very attentive and easy to understand. This place probably gave me the best experience Ive ever had at a doctors office, and thats saying something because I was pretty miserable!
Good wait time , not too long . Good care and service . Felt like they actually cared and took the time . Would recommend highlyWent to Reddy Care on Epps first and they had no wait but wouldn’t take walk ins even though it says no appointment needed what a difference in service
I’ve utilized Peachtree Immediate Care services a couple of times within the past few months. Not usually a fan of Urgent/Immediate Care facilities but Peachtree’s staff and services has kept me coming back. The staff was friendly and professional. I didn’t have to wait long to be seen. Definitely recommend Peachtree Immediate Care of Athens.
I was so sick and unable to get into my regular physician’s office for an appointment, from the moment I walked into this facility it was friendly customer care. Everyone there was efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. The gentleman that checked my vitals had such a funny sense of humor, worked quick yet efficiently while kind and patient with me not feeling well. Ends up I had the flu.The physician on staff was so informative, she was personable, friendly while being very professional. I felt comfortable and won’t hesitate to return in the future.
My experience here was nothing less that exceptional. Usually when going to urgent cares or dr’s offices, my son is the patient. This time... MOMMY was the patient. I had to bring him along with me unfortunately, but the staff was so receptive of my little rambunctious toddler. After filling out paperwork I was called back in less than ten minutes. The office was clean and inviting. The nurse and physician were also very helpful. I will definitely return.
You should sign up for a time at least a day before so you don’t have to wait. LOVE the receptionist and my appointment was right on time. Had me in and out in 15 minutes with the prescription sent and a letter for school! Very clean nice little office. Dr. didn’t wanna waste time so if you have questions prepare them before hand and ask them yourself because she didn’t ask me if I had any questions and almost left. Eh. Doctors, they’re busy.
This was great and easy! Would definitely recommend making an appointment before hand though. Two days in a row the walk in wait was over an hour. I had made an appointment, but the day before when I called it was an hour or more wait. They take insurance which made it super nice and convenient. DIdnt even have to stop on the way out and pay, but it did take about an hour and 15 which was a little longer than I had expected. Nurse, doctor, and receptionist were all nice! Overall good experience.
I was one of the last people for the day and the nurses were still SO kind and comforting. I was a little nervous about the swab (I get some anxiety in medical situations) but they were so sweet! These people are so strong, compassionate and were really sweet to me. They were gentle as well. I wish I could hug them all!
This rapid COVID-19 test experience was great! I signed up online and completed registration via a link they texted me. Then, got a reminder text before my appointment to text when I arrived. No calling and waiting on hold. The drive through test was fast and results took about 30 minutes!
I have received bills MANY times for covid related testing In june of 2020. It is September 2021. I have spoken to the billing department many times and been told that I wasnt responsible for a balance, yet am receiving yet another bill. The bill says call anytime 8:30am-5pm, but at 4:40pm the voice-mail says they close at 4:30pm. I have sat on calls for an hour plus many times over the same issue, yet it is never corrected on your end. At what point are you supposed to get something corrected?
The women at the front desk this morning was wonderful! So cheerful and inviting. I really appreciate when I see nurses/techs/receptionist who like their job and take pride in what they do. She made me feel so much better just being the ray of sunshine in the room. Great attitude! Visit was longer than I expected but understandable because of the flow of people and it being a Sunday.
Everything from making the appointment and filling out forms online, to having the test and waiting for the results was very smooth and helped my daughter, who was tested, relax. The staff was professional and happy to answer my questions about the test and the accuracy of the results. I look forward to the time when we won’t need COVID-19 tests but as long as we do, this is the place to go.
The premises were nice clean and sunny, paperwork was painless, staff were great and courteous to young sir. We were in and out rather quickly. We have insurance so the copay was business as usual. Having a pharmacy across the lot to pick up prescriptions is definitely a plus.
Nurse practitioner Kelsey B. was rude and did nothing for me. I advise everyone to choose a different Urgent Care other than this place. Save your money because they definitely took mine 😣😢 if I could choose 0 stars I would.Edit: I will be emailing you. I don’t believe “appropriate care” for an allergic reaction involves shaming a patient and telling them to continue taking the medication…
What a disappointing experience! I went for a Covid test at the drive through center after having a cough for a weak and having a known exposure. I was assured that my insurance HAD to pay for Covid testing when I asked about the cost. When I finally got up to the tent, I got barely a tickle of a swab, told I was negative and brushed on through without any education or explanation about the antigen test vs PCR and how accurate my tickle test results might be. Then came the bill. As it turned out, my insurance did not HAVE TO PAY . I received a bill for $101.68 which I promptly paid. Three weeks later I received another bill from Peachtree Immediate Care for the same $101.68. As I write this review I am on hold with the billing department, now 28 minutes and 35 seconds in I am still caller number 9 in line to discuss this double billing for a test I was assured I would not have to pay for the first time, let alone twice. I sincerely hope Peachtree Urgent Care is doing a better job of keeping track of Covid test results that keeping up with the money they are collecting from patients. As a hospital nurse caring for Covid patients daily, I do intimately understand the challenges we are facing to cope with this global pandemic but I dont believe that justifies hasty or unethical double billing or lack of transparency regarding the cost of testing. I am discouraged that as a community and a country we are not doing more to support free and hassle free testing for all who need it.
The receptionist was rude & unhelpful. Let me elaborate. My girlfriend had a high fever and was feeling terrible. We decided to go here because she’s a student and her primary physician is out of state. The clerk was very cold in my opinion as it was obvious my girlfriend was feeling awful. The clerk yells across the waiting room that my girlfriends policy is not active for all to hear. After we call the insurance company the nice man on the phone says the policy is good. The clerk refuses to speak with the representative on our phone to resolve the problem stating if the number doesn’t work they couldn’t see her! The receptionist made absolutely no attempt to resolve the situation. I feel it was obvious she had no compassion for my lady friend who was really in too bad of shape to be dealing with this red tape.We went to another clinic and issues were resolved with very little effort! I can’t speak for anyone else at this facility but the receptionist here was flat out rude and if I were her employer I’d have her removed ASAP!
Booking an appointment for a COVID-19 test in July 2020 was not fun on the site. I literally had to keep refreshing the screen and going down the list of sites and pray an appointment popped up.BUT after all that! The online registration process after booking was easy. Directions to location were clear, signs were easy to follow, lots of helpful volunteers. Friendly workers who checked vitals, took your information and administered the test. I was very impressed.I had a 4:03pm appointment. Got there at 3:50, left at 5:22pm. There was a long line but expected during these times, and it was a rapid testing site.Overall, very satisfied with my experience.
My first visit was good and I was given some medicine that helped my pain. When I developed new more serious symptoms, I went back the next day and that experience was great. The nurse was very warm and accommodating and I was given a couple options by the doctor for that day along with different medications that better treated the source of my health problems. My only issue was how long I waited once I got to my exam room and in between being seen by personnel.
The wait to be tested was not very long; we stayed about 45mns to one hour having 3 cars in front of us with multi passengers. We were two in my car, and it took about 15 mns for both to take care of us. The staff are friendly and professional. No complaints at all. Thanks for doing this necessary tedious job, nevertheless dangerous .
They’re so great!!So, I waited 6 hours for COVID testing (not their fault) and they were so nice and great when i got the the front. They’re so hot and sweaty and tired but they keep pushing through it all.If you’re going to get tested, they stop letting people in at 2ish and you probably won’t get tested until hours later if you come too late in the day. It’s very very hard to get in line and I was the last person in line for the rest of the day (no joke, get there early). They’re so helpful and doing the right thing during this crazy time.
The personnel on staff were very courteous and extremely professional. My heart goes out to all who are providing these services. The excessive heat and humidity that they are exposed to during my screening yesterday afternoon would wear down the most seasoned veteran, but they performed there services flawlessly.
The employees at the drive thru Covid test were fantastic. All with great spirits and happiness regardless of it being really cold, rainy, and the wind blowing extremely cold train everywhere. They had professionalism, sense of humor, and confidence. Definitely recommend to anyone!!! 😃
I would avoid going here if you can. Receptionist is not friendly. The doctors dont make it personal - they try to get you in and out as fast as possible. I had to go back 3 times (a total of 4 times) to get the right diagnosis and feel as though I had been helped.I will say that the nurses are very kind.
Office was busy but they got me back quickly. Doctor was friendly and thorough and got me on my way as fast as possible. Prescription was sent in digitally and ready when I arrived which was great. No hassle and just the easiest way to take care of a non-emergency Illness. Will be back (if necessary!!!)
I made an online appointment for 9:30, arrived at 9:15 and was out by 10:00. The doctor was super nice and did not have his hand on the doorknob so to speak. The Medical Assistant was very very kind and efficient. This was my second visit there this year and both were great. This will be my “go to” urgent care
I had a pleasant visit at SmartCare Urgent Care! Their staff were super resourceful, friendly, and professional. I am giving them a 4 star rating due to the wait time--which I am sure was out of their control to some extent. I would definitely recommend a friend or family member to SmartCare Urgent Care because they value their customers. Their facility was people friendly and tidy. If youre thinking about visiting, go for it!
I have been here twice, and both times were extremely quick and pleasant experiences, both with the front desk (sweetest receptionist EVER - I wish I remembered her name, she is an absolute gem), and with the medical staff. Ive been to Reddy and a couple of other urgent cares in town, and lets just say Ive questioned the qualifications of some of the doctors there...not to mention the wait time is always pretty rough. At Peachtree, they have not only helped me with both of the issues I came in for, but they clearly cared about my well-being (and theyre sharp, funny, and real, too). One doctor in particular was really honest with me about pharmaceuticals in a way that most doctors Ive experienced dont tend to be - I kind of wish he was my GP! Anyway - not all urgent care centers are created equally, and this place is the proof.
Made appt. Online immediately in early morning. Well organized with 2 lines of cars by 10:30 arrived. Only about 6 cars in each line. Waited all in all after test about 20 mins as told, and came out with a great result to make it that much better. Thanks for making it less hectic and simple! Patients, do your portion online if you can and its quick and convenient! Cell phone picture your i.d. and if you have your insurance card they make it easy to take the pictures making the appt. Online in there website. For minors there is a consent form i filled and printed but i literally had to show it to him and ask or they did not ask at check prior driving under tent.
My son woke up with a fever on his 9th birthday. We took him for Covid testing although he had no know exposure to anyone positive. Unfortunately, he came up positive and was devastated to have this happen on such an important day. The two women working, Baie and Tee were so kind to him. They made him a birthday card with a special treat for him inside. The results were quick and thanks to these ladies they made a really tough day much much brighter for a sick little boy. Thanks so much to those two ❤️❤️❤️
Very clean facility with friendly and capable faculty. my doctor, nurses, and X-ray tech all knew what they were doing and were very knowledgeable. nothing but good attitudes and compassion even though I was there at the end of the day and had several tests to be done. wait time was not the shortest but not too long, about what you would expect for a clinic.
The drive through was very convenient and well-organized, staff was helpful, friendly and efficient, and this was the fastest turnaround for any Covid tests we have had. (Hoping we dont have to do more testing, but if we do, we will return to your testing site for sure!) Thank you!
If I could give them a negative number I would! My issue is not with the facility people but the price gouging! My daughter went in for a routine ear infection. No cold, no fever, just a slight pain in her ear. The PA was in her room for less than 5 minutes, only looked in her ear and felt her throat. She left with one prescription. The bill came and because we have insurance they charged us $490!! SERIOUSLY...$490 for a 5 minute visit and an EAR INFECTION??? My deductible was $250 so I am left to pay a $255 balance BUT...had she said she had no insurance we would only have been billed $175 which is still astronomical for an ear infection and the service provided but way better than the price gouging $490+. If you use their facility you need to LIE if you have insurance and tell them you DO NOT or you will be screwed! It says AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE all over the outside...it is anything but that!!!
This was the best immediate care experience I have ever had. I was able to sign up for an appointment online, was seen at my scheduled time, and received medicine that helped me feel so much better in a short amount of time. The staff was very friendly, and the nurse practitioner called in my prescriptions before I left the office. She even researched which CVS opened early so that I could pick up my medicine right away. Thank you so much for such great service!
On the recommend scale, I would put a 0 if I could. My experience with Peachtree Immediate Care in Athens was awful. I have used this facility several times and was extremely disappointed with my last visit. I signed in and waited to be seen. I was called to the receptionists desk and told by her that I had to give her a debit card or a credit card to keep on file. I was told that I could not be seen until I gave her one of these cards. I asked, Are you refusing to give me medical treatment? I was told that this was policy and I had to give them one of my cards first. Mind you I have health insurance, and my BCBS Anthem card is on file because of my previous visits. They said I still had to give them one of the other cards. I was told that if I did not, I would have to pay $100.00 before I could be seen. My copay was $35.00. Tell me why I would have to pay more than my copay in order to be seen? This cant be legal, and remind you I had insurance. I was told that I would have one week to respond to an email and then my credit or debit card would be charged. What about giving the insurance company the option of responding to my charges before you take money out of my account. I called a family member and told her how I was treated. She said she would come and put her card on file. That was the only way I was seen at this facility. I will never use this facility again or refer anyone to it. People should not be subjected to this.
Checked in online, still had to wait an hour or so because some people got in ahead of me but it wasnt too bad. Its not like there are 12000 nurses and doctors available. Visit itself was quick and docter was nice and to the point. Prescription was sent to Kroger immediately so I could pick up same day. Thats all I needed!
Loved the Ease and access of appointment making, convenient drive up facilities, and rapid result and distribution of results. Very organized and efficient testing facility. My only complaint, otherwise 5 stars, was the sampling technique of the technician. The technician told me the sample would be nasal NOT nasopharyngeal. The swab was placed past my nasal septum bilaterally for extended periods of time. I realize the importance of getting a good sample, but I am a healthcare professional who has received several prior tests and administered covid tests and I just felt the sample gathering was excessive.Otherwise, a very good experience!
Had an absolute great experience. I dreaded the visit due to stories I heard of other urgent care in the area. Everyone was friendly. I rarely go to the doctor. I was feeling much better by the evening. The staff has a great attitude and are very informative. I will definitely go again if needed and highly recommend the office.
I’m very grateful for the efficiency and professionalism of the frontline healthcare workers at the Peachtree Immediate Care COVID testing site, and it’s been a real relief to be able to get my results within about 30-40 minutes of testing. I’ve been twice; once the line was more than 20 cars long, so the whole process took two hours, but about an hour and 15 minutes of that was just getting to the head of the line. That has nothing to do with Peachtree; there just aren’t that many places in Clarke County to get rapid testing that’s covered by most insurance carriers. I hope I don’t have to go back, but if I do, I know I’m in good hands.
I put off going to the doctor/ urgent care because I hate waiting and being in a crowded room with everyone else who is sick. I finally had to go today and I’m glad I did. It was so nice and cleanPros:I made an appointment online (save my place) for 10:18. I was at CVS picking up my script at 11:15It’s very cleanThe NP I saw was incredible. She was kind and informative. She was efficient and answered all of my questions. I will definitely be back and hope she is there.Cons:The Medical Assistant was new (I think) and did not quite seem to know what to do. That would have been okay but she just kept motioning at me to do things. I think she didn’t speak English very well so she kind of grunted one word commands at me. It was a little uncomfortable.I’m also not sure she had ever done a throat swab before. She swabbed way too long and too hard.I like it when the MA introduces herself when they call you from the waiting room. That would have been helpful as well.
The people here are professional, friendly, and accurate! I visited because I do not like the University Health Center after they prescribed me a slew of medicines for an unknown illness that didnt help. This place did a great job with diagnosis and treatment and had me feeling better in no time! Highly recommend especially for you UGA people.**Edit: While the service was great in the office the billing for my flu test was ridiculous and not accurate. This place is a scam— they put that I spent over 45mins with the Doctor when in reality she came in for 2mins to deliver my diagnosis and how to go about becoming healthy again. Her performance was not the problem; the billing and expenses associated with it are.
I used Peachtree for my rapid Covid test twice, and both times I was equally impressed with their services. The workers are both friendly and efficient in how they carry themselves, and the wait for my test was 15 mins! I recommend their tests to all my coworkers and friends. Best option in Athens.
Made an appointment online for 8am, when they open. Walked in at 7:58 and were told they weren’t open yet. Okay, fine. We waited until 8:00 and then were told the provider was not there yet and we wouldn’t be able to even wait in the waiting room until they got there. We waited outside for 10 minutes, then were told the provider would be there in 20 minutes. My boyfriend is very very sick and needed to see a doctor. I wish that they wouldn’t “open” until they actually were open. We left and went to Bulldog Urgent Care instead, were seen immediately by a very kind nurse, and were very well taken care of. We will not be back to Peachtree Urgent Care.
Everyone was very nice and courteous and I got a negative test result. BUT I got tested at the hospital 2 days later and had a positive test result. After discussing it with the hospital staff it was determined that the Peachtree staff may not be properly swabbing or going deep enough into the sinuses.
Well, so much for the online system preventing waits. I signed my kid up for a 6pm slot. When we got there, the very nice receptionist said the wait would be 80 to 120 minutes. I said we signed up for a 6pm time. She said they take whoever comes in, which makes the online system irrelevant. We have up. When I got outside and looked at my phone, there was a reminder to be there at 6. Then my insurance came up as cancelled though it is not. All in all, very disappointed.
Drove 2 hours here because my employer said they were open until 8, get there at 7:25 and the nurse tells me its a no go. Did not work with me in the slightest. If youre looking to be treated like a patient and not an insurance payout definitely go elsewhere. I now have an hour and a half drive home in the opposite direction. Only to do the same thing again tomorrow. I was told we have to give u 3 hours for a specimen, yet I could have provided one that moment.
The location looked shady and so did the set-up (like driving into a post-apocalyptic scene with old factory parking lot, etc. LOL, such are the times), but the personnel were very professional, efficient, and hospitable. Appreciate their great attitude and hard work.
I went to SmartCare Urgent care today to be tested for strep. I had been in the office for not even ten minutes and they had already called me back to be seen. My nurse Nathan was kind, and thankfully very gentle with the swabs. The doctor was also very nice and thorough. They had me in, out, and on my way with a prescription for Zithromax and R&R in no more than 35 minutes. I highly recommend this facility.

2022-05-22Came here for side muscle pain. Was in and out in less than an hour (I went right when they first opened so it definitely wasnt crowded). All staff I came in contact with were nice and the doctor was very kind. Newer office with modern decor. Would definitely recommend!

2022-08-07Since COVID, they would prefer you make an appointment, and there always plenty available. They get you to the back quickly with little wait (with an appointment) and I have never been there when there was a crowd. The PA’s and nurses there seem to be knowledgeable and are very kind. I will use this place when I’m unable to see my primary care doctor and it’s not serious enough to go to the ER.

2022-05-15If you consider waiting nearly an hour for a simple drug screen (still actively waiting) immediate care, this is the place for you.UPDATE: Mr./Mrs. CEO. I was quite confused when the receptionist told me the same response when I was at the clinic. I signed in at 12:20 pm (on the sign-in sheet). Im not sure how it took so long to process my check-in (17 minutes) with only seeing 4 other patients enter the building during my entire time there.

2022-04-30I am so glad we found this place. My friend, who is diabetic, was in need of cleansing a terrible cut. After a week of worry, going to 4 facilities, making multiple phone calls, we found this facility. My friends are my clients and I have very high expectations. Good Healthcare and help is essential. I was so worried, I had failed my friend. You guys were pleasant and fast. When Mr Billy came out smiling, that was priceless!

2022-04-14I had to come to this facility for a pre-employment drug test and the staff was wonderful. The girl working the front desk really knew what she was doing and was extremely helpful to everyone that came in. I did have quite a long wait but I consider that normal for any sort of urgent care facility. The staff really makes this place great.

2022-08-22Came here as a new patient after a positive home COVID test. Was able to get in within a reasonable amount of time. Staff was professional and helpful (and calm dealing with an agitated woman who appeared to be an addict trying to get pain medication). Will definitely be back.

2022-07-15Came in to the office yesterday at 6:40 and was told they stopped doing drug test at 6:30. The receptionist talked to the nurse right in front of me and agreed that 6:30 was the cut off time . Unless I’m mistaken your website says walk ins. I was told it was because of ups not being able to pick up specimens that late, I come in the morning and see that ups pick is at 3:45 everyday . I spoke to the nurse who did my drug test this morning and she stated drug test are on a walk on basis and there is no cut off time . They were only 2 other people in the waiting yesterday so it’s not like they were busy they just didn’t want to be bothered .
