Pep Boys in other cities:
We have had two absolutely awful experiences at this location. I cant see myself ever returning to this store.Firstly, we bought some new tires from this store and the hubcaps were broken and fell off as we drove out of the parking lot. Pep Boys refused to fix the hubcaps or acknowledge that they had broken them.Secondly, we had them assist in replacing a broken tail light. A week later, the light was no longer working. When we looked at the broken bulb, it was very old and very rusted. They either never replaced the bulb or put in an old, defective bulb. The employees we spoke to about the matter refused to give a refund or replace the bulb with a new one. They refused to acknowledge there was anything wrong with the bulb.Extremely rude and unprofessional.
Havent been in a Pep Boys in years. So I thought I would try them out on something simple. My small car needed a new battery. Stopped by before my appointment at 8 am. They had me done and out the door by 8:09. I ordered the battery online and just had to give them my key and it was completed very quickly. Nice job. Their waiting area was real nice as well with a huge tv to watch.
Came in for an oil change and was in and out very quickly. Price was also great, I got a full synthetic oil change and rotate on my tires for a little over 60$ thats a bargain in my opinion. David was the one who helped me he did a great job and was very friendly. I will definitely be coming back to the guys on bells ferry
I do most of my own work on my cars so when I do take them to a shop it is only for something I cannot do myself. I am very knowledgeable about my cars and have high expectations when others work on them. I recently replaced most of the front and rear suspension components on my old (1988) beater Mercedes that my teenage kids drive. For alignment work I usually go to a small specialty shop in Marietta but they were really booked and it would have been a week before they get to me. I drive by Pep Boys in Orchard Square on Bells Ferry every day so I stopped in there. It was only a few minutes before closing time (7 PM) so they couldnt do it then but were able to take me any time that I wanted the following day. I set an appointment for 430 the next day and they took it in and lined it up. I knew every single adjustment was waaaay off and consequently the car drove terribly. In about an hour they had it done and did a great job. I never thought this hunk of junk could ride so good. The steering wheel is perfectly centered and it tracks dead straight. At 80 MPH on the interstate is was smooth and stable. This is my new alignment shop.
Went in to get an oil change done on my truck. Made an appointment and it took as long as they quoted me it would. Price was cheap and they even filled up my wiper fluid without asking or charging me. Good service, Zach was great to deal with, and done quickly. Had just enough time to grab some wings next door at Ralph’s.
My dad always comes here whenever he needs help with any of the cars. Recently he took my car up there to get a tire patched and the staff was quick to help and didnt even charge him since we always get tires and work done there. They have excellent service and products and have never let us down!
We went to get an oil change here and came out with a check engine light on our car. In addition to that, we waited an hour for our car to be taken back WITH an appointment. I chatted with their website’s support, and they were useless. I have come to the conclusion that all Pep Boys locations are horrible. In addition, they broke a lug nut on our tire and didn’t seem to want to take ownership for that. We had just replaced all of the lug nuts ourselves. They take advantage of you and try to get you to spend money in any way they can. Don’t risk going here.
They are unorganized and they do not value the customers time. Actual had to wait 4 1/2 hours for an oil change. Then the service that was supposed to be provided in the beginning along with the oil change was not done. Meaning I waited 4 1/2 hours for associates who were not familiar with the Hertz approval program to not do the job that I clearly showed them needed to be done, in the beginning per Hertz, (full description was given) and they still were unable to complete it. They did a half job then told me now 4 1/2 hours later that the system had a gitch and they could not process the order or provide a receipt so I could show the service that was provided 4 1/2 hours later. This place is an honest waste of time they could have got approvals in the beginning when they got the same approval for an oil change that took 4 1/2 hours. Never will I go to this location a pure waste.
Went there for an oil change for a 2019 Hyundai. The first time I went there, I was told I needed synthetic oil bc thats what was already in there. Now I went back for an oil change a week ago and was told they put regular oil in it and it didnt matter. So, which advice was correct? Also had my tire looked at bc it was the tire pressure was low. They said they didnt find anything wrong but they put air in it. Next day, it was low again. Went to discount tire and there was a nail in it. If they cant do the simplest of things, I wouldnt trust them with larger repairs.
This is the only shop for my vehicles! Been seeing these guys for a few years now, and have never had a complaint about them. Store is clean, staff is clean and friendly, techs are knowledgeable, quick, and honest! Special shout-out to Andrew Morgan for staying late to finish up an oil change he told me he would get done that day. I lost track of time, and he went above and beyond in the face of my thoughtlessness. Cant speak highly enough of this shop.
This is the third time I had pre-scheduled my oil change with Pepboys, was told it would only be a 30 minute wait, but each time I’m left waiting over an hour, today it took 2 hours ?!? For an oil change?? That was scheduled?!I’m normally patient and understanding but today was my last straw with this location. At least communicate with your customers if you’re having delays, at least pretend to be somewhat apologetic for their time...but nothing, no explanation, just a pay us and leave now attitude. The gentleman with the red hair that normally works the front desk is super helpful and at least honest with you upfront. Not sure who that other manager with the glasses is, but I’m disappointed to say the least.
The first time Ive ever left a shop with a smile on my face. The people I talked to over the phone with were easy to talk to and understood what i needed. I paid for the diagnostics + the repair for what they found and im happy.Edit: after another visit or two Ill probably keep searching around. At first it was great but after having to come back twice.. I dont know. Im still looking for my new home shop.edit two: my problem never actually got fixed. had to come in twice for it to be looked at but i believe all they did was reset my codes and sent me on my way. after paying 800$ for them to get me emissions worthy, the light came right back on as soon as the emissions test ran my codes.
DO NOT USE!!!!They are very unpleasant and def not honest! We dropped our car off today for a simple new tires on and balance around 1130am is today. We were quoted 3pm for ready time by Logan. We got a call today at 430pm that it was ready so 1.5 hrs past quoted time. We were only informed of 2 jobs ahead of our car that avg 1.5 hrs per job. We are also quoted this time to do the tires. Yes I am a female but it does not take that long for new tires; Ive mounted and balanced myself before. Mind you I was quoted an hr for the job yesterday so less than 24hrs! At p/u, We called Logan about these issues since we were quoted a time and never got a call about it being longer. He first tried to explain how difficult it is to do tires....then said he never quoted us 3pm. Funny it was witnessed. The he tried to say he had no excuse and did not even try to apologize. Yet he started listing excuses one being short staffed. I can respect that if he had been HONEST! Oh did I mention half the staff when we left were just standing around in the bays not working and Smoking in the bays as well!!!! I am sure that is a safety concern since there are flammable items....
Exceptional customer service provided by a KNOWLEDGEABLE & HONEST STAFF!!Especially being a woman,in the past,Ive found it difficult to find an honest Mechanic to work on my car. Logan assisted me most recently and I TRULY APPRECIATE the quality of service I received plus competitive prices! The store manager, Michael, has done an amazing job training and leading an OUTSTANDING PROFESSIONAL TEAM OF MECHANIC S!!!I will only take my car here &HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TO DO THE SAME 😉❗❗
I recently moved up here about a year ago for college, I live 4 and 1/2 hours away so Im not able to go to my dad immediately when somethings wrong with my car or I need an oil change, so this is the store he recommended. Every time Ive came in my experience has been nothing but great!! Mr. Logan is always super kind and tells me everything and breaks it down for me super clear. I love this location so much that even after moving off campus I continue to come here when there are other locations closer to me than this one. Will always recommend this store, Mr. Logan, and the staff!
Had my vehicle break down and had it towed to this place thinking I could at least find out what happened to it. They told me the timing belt had broke and the engine was gone since it was an interference engine. Towed the vehicle home ( an hour and a half drive for me ) and let it sit for a while. Started tinkering around with it and took apart most of the engine to check it out and found that the timing belt was fine. Figured maybe it slipped and busted the heads or something like that for the engine to be dead. Well I decided randomly to check the fuses only to find that one of the fuses has blown. I replaced it and was able to put the motor back together for the most part and it cranked right up, 2 years after the fact. These guys charged me hundreds of dollars to look at my engine, tell me its destroyed, and couldnt even figure out it was a fuse. Such a waste of time, money, and now my vehicle is in much worse shape due to them.
If I could give more stars I would! Getting my car done for ANY service has always been a stressful thing for me, but ever since finding Logan, it’s amazing! He makes the process simple and easy each time. Being a girl I typically don’t know what’s even going on, so I give him all the details and he fixes it right away! He always has a smile on his face and ENJOYS what he does. That truly makes all the difference. The service is great, timing is awesome and price is not bad either. Definitely see Logan if you are in the Kennesaw area for your car needs! You will not be disappointed :)Mariah
I guess the stories are true that when a younger girl goes in to the shop mechanics think they can get more money out of the uninformed. I came in to my appointment requesting a conventional oil change for my 6 year old car, and the associate here insisted that they couldn’t (wouldn’t). They could only use full synthetic which would have been almost twice the price. I know synthetic is better than conventional, but my car isn’t going to keel over if they use a less luxurious oil. The manual even says you can use conventional so long as its weight is 5W 30 or even a blended oil. Really disappointing that they would try and take advantage of their customers like that and almost funny because I have actually had a conventional oil change at this same location with this same car. Won’t be going back to any pep boys in the future
I needed tires really quick, and this store was the closest to my house. Im a huge car buff and Im sure many car people will say that Pep Boys is not the place for them, but I have been shown excellent service and awesome prices. The people there show you exactly what tire you would get and how much the price is, with nothing hidden in the price. Many thanks to Michael Downey and his team at the Bells Ferry store! I would not hesitate to send my car friends there. I had my M3 serviced with care and concern. My vehicle is lowered and they got the job done with ease.It goes to show you, Its not the name of the store that matters, its the people that work there.
We dropped in without an appointment for an oil change and they did do a good job, However, with only 2 other customers waiting it took almost 2 hours for them to complete the job. They also seemed to be having internal problems with staffing and scheduling employees. Maybe making an appointment would help improve the wait time. With that said they do have a comfortable waiting room with free coffee.
We bring all of our familys cars to this Pep Boys for our tires/batteries/smaller repairs. Logan, and the staff, has always been terrific. He goes above and beyond. I appreciate the way he speaks to me and the other customers ..... very respectful and professional. 5 stars to Logan and the rest of the guys. Merry Christmas (from the white Armada lady ..... lol)
The customer service here is terrible. I have attempted to come here a couple times for work since it is close to my house, however each time I have attempted to received support in regards to my vehicles I have had bad interactions with the people (Specifically Mike) both at the desk and on the phone. I would think it was an off day or maybe a busy time but I’m pretty sure it’s just the people that work here. I would love to support good work but I have not had the chance to let them do anything. I am done trying. I will take my cars and my money somewhere where I can trust them.
*****Awesome Customer Service***** I was headed home from work and my car battery decided to die on me after a quick stop at Racetrac on Bells Ferry. My wife came to jump me but the thing was not just dead but DEAD-dead (thanks for coming to my aid Angie). I called Pep Boys across the street and I knew they were 15 min from closing but asked if they could stay open long enough for me to get there, buy one and figure out how to install it myself in front of RT... Instead, Andrew closed up the shop, came over to Racetrac and got my battery jumped. I was about to thank him tremendously and head on to somewhere open later for a replacement but Andrew offered me to come across the street to Pep Boys where he opened back up and installed a new battery for me. Andrew went way above and beyond good customer service. I was preparing for a long and frustrating evening. Instead, the problem was solved before I knew it. I will gladly bring my business back to Pep Boys on Bell Ferry whenever the need arises.
Andrew and Logan are simply the best. Reliable, honest and always there. They’ve maintained two vehicles for me over many years and I’d follow those two anywhere else if they left pepboys. Your vehicles are in good honest hardworking hands at Pepboys orchard square when Andrew or Logan are on the clock.
I went for changing the battery on my truck. Battery was around $120 and after the work was completed I showed Mike the 15% off coupon I had. With out even reading the fine print he outright denied it. Had to show him what it says and finally to agree on that. After that he tried to charge an installation fee to recover the 15% off. Usually when you buy the battery from them installation is free. Watch out...
Jon Hughes and the staff at Pep Boys on Bells Ferry Rd are FANTASTIC. Theyre always trying to go the extra mile to add value to every transaction. Sure, theyre running a business and trying to make money, but they also realize the long-term value of customers who trust them. I highly recommend these guys. Tell Jon that the guy with the purple Civic sent you.
Horrible experience when I realized theyre just out for my money. They had me do a $100 diagnostic test to figure out why my check engine light was on. Turns out I could have gotten the same test for free at autozone. They only found one error code for one catalytic converter and recommended I have both on the car replaced even though the other was not showing an error code. They just want you to waste money on unnecessary repairs.
Edit: the situation has been resolved got a refund for the oil change.I went they claimed I needed a new air filter when I just replaced the air filter myself the day prior. They then called back apologizing saying it was a mix up.Recently, I go to check my oil and its a dark brown when I just got it changed with the odometer reading 42000 its at 45000 now.
Amazing service! I left work late to find I had an almost flat tire. I was able to limp my way here just before they closed.... not only were they friendly and amazing to me and my son - they plugged my tire saving me hundreds of dollars! They were open when most shops were closed! I will be coming back here!
2 1/2 hours for oil change with only 1 other person in front of me with his car already in works. Garage full of service techs walking around with hands in pocket and the Manager was horrible. Also tracked some kind of nasty black shop water from shoes all on the inside of my vehicle. Not recommend
I came in right when they opened to get help flipping the ball on my 2 drop receiver. Logan took it to the back and returned in a couple minutes with it flipped and cleaner than I gave it to him. I asked what do I owe you? He said no worries, its on the house! with a smile! This is what good business in America is all about! My next set of tires will be bought here!
Came in with a list. I Spent 2800 on several different things I wanted done for my truck, on return ABS is acting up [no issues before service]. Had to spend another 900 because pepboys told me to take it to the Toyota dealership, then claimed it wasnt their fault. Will never go here again.
This technician Blake went above and beyond the call of duty to help me out at about 10 minutes to closing I was able to get my spare tire on and keep rolling, i could not afford a brand new tire at the time so he himself earned my business because i will be coming back to this location to buy a full set of tires when i get paid!
Mike the assistant manager declined service of air hose to a customer slash pepboys empoloyee last i check air is free of charge and when i asked to use ot mike the gst said yes he is a great employee and good guy but mike the boss needs to be taught how to treat people please fix his arrogance
I normally work on my own car but know when something is beyond me and the tools I own. These guys were able to get my rusted drum breaks off and had my car working well again. The shop manager was friendly, attentive and didnt try to force up charges. Price was fair considering how bad the breaks were.

2022-04-26Dropped my car off for a leak in my AC, and they did inform me it was best to drop off, due to shortage with staffing and the number of repairs similar to mine. They still finished the job in a great amount of time nonetheless. Chris the shop manager kept in contact and had me informed about my vehicle as well.

2022-06-14Dont bother coming here. They lie.We dropped the car at 2:30 after explaining we needed to leave the next day for a trip. They said they would take care of it. They never even called us. We called about ten minutes to close to find out they never even bothered to look at the car! So absolutely rude and inconsiderate. We could have gone somewhere else in time.

2022-07-22I literally showed up right before the shop closed with a nail in my tire. Chris went out, inspected my tire, patched my tire, and had both of us out of there in about 10 minutes. He said that safety always comes first and I am so thankful that I chose Pep Boys. They really do care about their customers!

2022-06-30Today @ 1:00pm, June 30, 2022, I visited the Woodstock Discount Tire to remove a bolt from my passenger rear tire. During inspection, I was informed that it may be impossible to remove the bolt without buying a new tire because my tread was in bad condition. To ensure there was only one bolt in my tire, I showed the tire technician a picture of the bolt I had taken earlier which was bigger in size and darker in color. The one he was able to see was smaller and a lighter shade and it was deeper in my tire than the one I noticed on my own. I mentioned a past dealership being able to save my tire after removing a bolt 🔩, but was stuck with buying a new tire as my only option for removing the bolt. Kia dealership just serviced my vehicle last month and Im positive Kia would have informed bad treading. Well, I wanted a second opinion so my fiancée mentioned PepBoys which was 4 mls away from Woodstock Discount Tire. By now, it was 1:22pm when I was told a price at PepBoys (4290 Bells Ferry). I kid-you-not that @ 1:43, I was handed my car keys and paying for the service. I knew I was not imagining it @ Discount Tire when I told the technician that there might be two bolts because PepBoys (Bells Ferry) told me they removed two bolts and at a decent price. Hey, decently priced for twice the removal in half an hour...PepBoys is my new tire shop 🙌🏾👊🏾. (((Aside from price and labor time, I was 100% prepared to have my tire serviced at the Woodstock DT, but it was like I was refused service for NOT agreeing with a more expensive purchase))).

2021-12-08I adore the two managers up at the front counter, Curtis and the store manager are always super helpful and friendly. Came in for work on my car, but the wait was too long, and what appeared to be their corporate managers were in store. The way they spoke to these poor employees was just completely inappropriate and abusive. No wonder they’re so short staffed. I wanted to quit and I don’t even work there! My condolences to these poor people dealing with those guys on a daily basis.

2021-10-04This place sucks!!!My mom took her car there for a simple oil change. The technician somehow stripped the oil plug. Now they want to charge her $400 to replace the oil pan and gasket. The technicians get paid per job so they have an incentive to purposely break things in order to make more money. They figured they could take advantage of an older woman. I purchased a new oil pan ($35) and gasket ($10) and they refused to install it. They wanted to charge us $115 for the oil pan and $47 for the gasket. They jack up the price of the parts so the technicians can make more money. Id rather spend more money to have it towed elsewhere than allow these clowns to touch her car again.

2021-12-04I have had many good experiences since coming to Pep Boys. They are very professional and making sure I understand about my car mechanics and always getting me a good special where I can’t get no where else. I thank you again your whole staff.
