Nice welcoming staff, but terrible at bartering prices. The amount they ask for are a bit beyond unreasonable. So, say the dog is $7900. Your counter offer is $4000. Which honestly thats still a lot, but I understand they are trying to make their profit back. So they turn down $4000. (In cash I might add)So think of this. You can literally fly to any state in the country and pay 7 times less than that. Thats including the plane ticket, round trip, a room for a night, pet carry on and all that would actually be well under $4000.Not to mention if you have $8000 to spend on a dog, why wouldnt they think Hey, the customers can easily take that large amount and travel elsewhere to get better deals for dogsAnd if youre wondering, yes, thats exactly what I plan on doing. Going out of town for a day or 2 for much better deals, with the same full breed dogs and creditials.
We went in for the first time looking for fish and left with this guy. I strongly believe in adopting rescues, but this pup stole my husbands heart. Solomon is a Dogue de Bordeaux and was 4 months old when we got him. He is an absolute dream and fits in great with our 5 other dogs.
Great location! Tyler was awesome in helping us with all our needs. Everyone was super nice and helpful. Very knowledgeable when it comes to their pets! They take truly great care. Great selection of pure breed dogs. Awesome rodents! Absolutely love this place! Give Tyler a raise!
This was the first time I had ever visited Petland. My friend told me that there was a German Shepherd puppy there and I just had to see it. Being a GSD owner already, I stopped by and there she was, a beautiful little Shepherd. I noticed some minor things that made me feel quite certain that it was mixed with a husky or the like etc. This is not important as she was still quite pretty and had decent standard.I played with the dog for a short while and noticed that she had a upper respiratory infection of some kind (probably bordetella), some yeast build up on her pads and in sections of her fur, and also she lacked the true build of a GSD puppy muscularly etc.At this point I am upset slightly that she seems to be going through a rough time and doesnt seem to be getting quite the care she needs. (The infection and yeast being my main concern). Regardless, I was curious as to the price the had for adoption. Not being familiar with Petland as a company I was slightly shocked when the associate told me $4700.Now firstly, I can (and did) get a Purebred GSD for considerably less. (Btw 5k can get you 2-3 AKC registered GSD puppies and probably cover some classes). I then asked if she was purebred to see what they would say. I was told she was a purebred no doubt. Now its important to remember that without a DNA test it is hard to rule out the breed specifics, but I promise you this poor baby was not a purebred by any means.Purebred or not this puppy was adorable and sweet and I hope she finds a wonderful home. But please do not be conned by this company when they try to sell you a sick, non-purebred dog for easily 10x what it should be valued at.Final note, take better care of these poor animals. They are defenseless, asked for none of this, and are literally living on metal grates with towels on them. They are sick and no ones cares. Have some humanity if you are in the business of living creatures.
When I first enter the store I was greeted by Hope she gave great customer service. She was friendly and was very informative. She was knowledgeable about giving me valuable information about the puppy 🐶 I decided to purchase. I purchased an Shabi Inu my children and I immediately fell in love with the puppy. The store was clean and the puppies was cleaned it was a friendly atmosphere. Hope went above and beyond for me. I brought my puppy on Sunday February 14 and can’t wait to bring my puppy prince home. Thank you Hope for everything you done for me and my family as we approach this new journey with our new addition to our family. Kudos to Hope.🥳😊🤗😁
The customer service was amazing and the dogs were cute. The dogs were very well taken care of and very well groomed. The staff is very helpful and informative. Each time I was ready spend time with another dog, the staff eagerly bought another one to me. I received so much information on each dog that I was interested in. There was a wide variety of animals. The layout is very organized. This place is the absolute best. If you ever go, as for Briana! She is absolutely knowledgeable and very helpful.
Absolutely awful they shouldn’t even be in business. I bought my dwarf hamster from them and at the time I didn’t know a lot about Dwarf hamsters but after owning one for sometime I realized how awful the conditions are for their poor hamsters they leave the top of the cage open which allows customers to just wake up sleeping dwarf hamsters (dwarf hamsters are nocturnal and should not be woken up during the day) they don’t have enough bedding in the cage for burrowing they have barely enough to cover the floor. They only have two hideout covers for about 20 hamsters. And they only have 1 wheel for about 20 hamsters, hamsters need to run at least 6 miles a night one wheel is not sustainable for 20 hamsters!!!
Bought a 14 week old puppy yesterday that my little 6 year old fell in love with. After some price haggling for a $4000 dog, we bought it for him and he was the happiest kid. We left the store and the puppy started throwing up . I figured it was just nervous and wrote it off. We got home and it seem lethargic and it pooped sloppy bloody stool throughout the night in the kennel. I called the vet I use and we told those are tale-tale signs of Parvo which can kill the dog with 48-72 hours.I WILL BE TAKING THIS PUPPY BACK TODAY FOR A FULL REFUND OR A LAWSUIT WILL ENSUE.
Love the service there. Theyre very careful with the animals and keep them healthy and clean. The employees assist you very well too. Moana is a spectacular employee. She helped my wife and I with a puppy we purchased and she was very patient with us with all of our questions. 100% satisfied with her service AND our puppy. I even go back to her sometimes if I have any questions and she gladly assists me. Awesome store awesome pets. 👍
Petland was very nice! When I called they were helpful and polite and when I went to adopt a bird from them the birds looked very happy as did their puppies and ferrets. I recommend going here because of the nice, helpful atmosphere. Also the animals are just adorable.
We bought a rabbit 2 days been in a room where it’s quiet and no noise so the rabbit don’t get into shock we was checking on it had a seizure and died instantly. I should of known better after friends buying dogs from here with parvo. The rabbit had blood coming out the nose. I called they said for me to put it in my freezer until they can get us one on Thur shame on this place. They need to be reported. I will cut my 180 lost and just bury it. Since they refuse to give me a refund
I was just at this store trying to purchase a dog but was ran up on by Don Popham the owner showing us a picture of someone that looked nothing like my husband saying we purchased a dog from there with a stolen credit card. The picture looked nothing like my husband which I was upset because I wanted a dog from there and would never be back in this so called establishment. The way he approached us was just unprofessional and we did not even get our dog from there he should have just called the police if he felt that way because he ran up on us while we were leaving after being in the store looking at dogs for 20 minutes.
So many people say this is a terrible place but I do not agree. After falling in love with a beautiful puppy here, we decided to buy him. He is amazing and healthy. The cost was a bargain. Between buying the puppy and everything else you need to care for him and entertain him, we did not spend that much. Thank you Petland for our beautiful new fur baby.
I had a great experience! We bought a beautiful baby Chihuahua and as suggested by Petland we took her to the vet for a wellness check up- paid by Petland. She did develop kennel cough and struggled for several weeks in the hospital. Petland checked on her and paid the medical bills with no questions asked. They were genuinely concerned about Little Rubys well being and recovery. Thank you Petland-we love your awesome staff!
I was told the store did not sell fish by an employee and he also stated, he didnt know if it would in the future. So if you are looking to buy some fish, you will not be able to purchase it at this pet store. My interactions with the staff was pleasant.I rated two stars because I was unable to buy fish from a pet store. I mean Petland is not selling #FISH!
Wonderful! I bought an English bulldog puppy. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. I felt as though they wanted to truly help me with what was best for my new baby without ripping me off also! Another thing that I have to say really impressed me with them is that after I bought him I had a small, very common problem with my dog(cherry eye) they even helped me with that! I would defiantly recommend this place to anyone and if I consider purchasing in the future I know where to go. It was truly one of the best experiences of customer service I have had in a long time!
I have gotten two pets from this Petland in the past three years. My first was a ferret. He turned out healthy and playful. I was extremely happy with him. My second pet that I just got recently was an angora rabbit. I let the employees know I was on my way to get her. When I got there, the rabbits hair was in poorest of conditions. Matted and not properly groomed what so ever. I still decided to buy her for the hefty price they were offering. $139. Although it took me a total of four hours to get her hair properly groomed and cut, I dont regret buying her. She is the sweetest rabbit I have ever had.
Over priced the staff was great but the manager was not! They made a mistake on our transaction and we ended up paying extra when my husband signed to pay the lower price. When he confronted them they ignored us. The dogs here looked really sad and didnt look healthy their diet gives them diarrhea. They are stuck in these small glass cages Im happy I got my pup but not happy of the state he was in. They didnt take him out for a walk or anything they kept him in a small kennel!!! I didnt realize this place was a bad place to get puppies but this was our last resort since we couldnt get a dog from the shelters sadly the owners of the shelters recommended that we do not get the dogs there because they werent good with small dogs, cats, or children so we ended up here getting a dog... will never come here again so not worth spending almost 3k on a dog. We learned our lesson and Im passing this information onto you good people go to a local breeder its much better and cheaper.
So the “Owner” has over priced the puppies and is literally clueless to what he’s negotiating. The asking price for a pup started at 6k. Then dropped to 3850. First red flag. The pup looked sick and wasn’t even a “pure breed” from what they said. This place is a rip off big time. Don’t make the mistake and Do yourself a favor, if you want to buy a pup, look up breeders for the dog you want, ask around for prices. Then go there and tell them they’re complete morons. Cause their prices, and the prices you’ll get from actual Breeders won’t even come close. I feel bad for the staff, when they come to you with these outrageous “deals” from the owner you can see it in their faces it’s a rip off and they don’t have anything to say when you present them facts from breeders.
Its sad to state but this location sales unhealthy animals without warning to future buyers. Once taking an pet home and growing to love it after 6 days the animal is now deceased due to an illness that according to vets office it was Ill before purchase. This company should let future buyers know the risk that something like this can happen. And if they know that their animals are sick then they should not be up for adoption. Ask questions before buying and see if they can give you a record of vet checks on bill of health before purchasing.
There was dog feces in almost every single dog cage. Not just on the bottom of the cage but on the walls as well. I don’t know why the employees weren’t cleaning it up? Oh yea because they were all on their phones. They never once asked me if I needed help or anything. This place needs to train their workers to care for dogs and how to greet people with happy attitudes. Or, just shut this place down. I feel incredibly sorry for the puppies.
I was feeling really down and decided to get a little puppy, and I finally found my little Ziggy along with my girlfriend. Alaya was fantastic and she described each dog, what they look like when they’re older, their personality! She is really a kind spirit and I would 100% recommend her to help you find you puppy!
Words cannot express how much this Petland means to me and the people who work here. The facility is clean and the fur babies are *well* taken care of. The layout is very easy to navigate and all the rooms for the babies are very clean. The staff is friendly and will always greet you with a smile. You can see that the employees here love the job they do!I especially want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to Key, at first I went in for puppy therapy. Early this year a tragedy hit our family, recovering from this has beyond hard, I was told I would need a Service Animal to lead a somewhat normal life.I probably saw 20(plus) puppies only two were a fit, the first one went to another family, the second one was a hit. Key kept me updated me on the puppies would come in that might be a good fit. During this time the fur baby was a perfect fit caught a cold and Key kept me up to date. (This is not abnormal, I was told by the vet)Finding my dog has been the best thing to happen to me, laughter is back in my house and I owe this all to Key is gentle nature and tenacious attitude kept me going. After becoming discouraged I resolved myself to the fact what was meant to be. My fur baby has been the blessing I have praying for. Thank you Key! Thank you Petland for everything you did!! Youll always have a special place in my heart!! You have no idea...If you do want a baby to complete your life go see Key and tell him April sent you, also tell him Appa misses him!!Again Thank you Petland, Key and staff for being so amazing!!
We recently bought a puppy from Petland here in Columbus, Ga. Yes, they are supper over priced, but what pet store isnt? We had a great experience. Brett answered any questions we had with diligence, and we found our new fur baby, Kion. We get our first vet visit and grooming appointment today!
I will never ever ever ever buy a pet from this place or anyplace associated with it. They sold me my then puppy for 3500 dollars claiming he was full bred so that is why he was so overpriced. The first vet appointment I took him too the day after purchasing him he was very sick with a cold and had worms that were untreated. As he grew I wondered why he was much bigger than other miniature schnauzers. I fell in love with him the moment I sawq him and love him more than ever 2 years later but because breeding discrepency my poor baby lost all of his AKC creditials. When I first became aware of the situation I was notified by AKC. After being notified I contacted the store and they said they were not responsible. Finally they paid me back a VERY small portion of what I paid for him and refused to even cover the cost to have him neutered because he had not been neutered yet seeing that I was under the belief he was an akc registered dog that I could breed. This is an HORRIBLE establishment who wont even take responsibility for their mistakes.
Insanely overpriced dogs!!! I went here and saw them selling a Boston Terrier for almost $2,000.00! As a lifetime Boston Terrier owner this breed usually sells starting at $700 from a reputable breeder. One dog had patches of hair missing, clearly mange or something along those lines. I asked about it and the associate told me, thats a birth mark....... youve got to be kidding me.
We bought a puppy at Petland who was shipped to them at only 9 weeks. The night we took him home he started coughing. When we took him to the vet we learned he had a parasite and severe kennel cough. We’ve taken him to the vet every single day for all day nebulizer treatments and he’s now on antibiotics. He still isn’t better, we’re on day 7 of all day treatments at the vet.Petland guaranteed us we had a healthy dog who was just examined.Very disappointing to see such a young puppy so sick, we just want a healthy dog.
I never realized you were supposed to “negotiate” with them! Lol! Like, if they tell you a poodle is “on sale” for $2500 and originally $3800. You can actually buy the poodle for $900 if you “play hard ball negotiation” lol.The employees are extremely sweet and good but the dogs are pitiful...I bought our sweet baby two days ago...she had been in that glass cage for 4mos! They come in at 8 or 9 weeks and she is 6mos old just getting a home and to play outside and be with her family! Now that I understand how extreme they will negotiate, lol, I say go it. It can be difficult to find the exact dog you want from a breeder...I also encourage shelters and humane societies but I wanted a hypo allergenic dog and I wanted one ASAP after my sweet old friend was killed after a good 8 years together with her...I couldn’t wait on a breeder...I didn’t end up with the poodle I wanted though...I could have, and might go back for her too! But I adopted a wonderful, beautiful, sugary sweet Shiffon hybrid dog (also hypo allergenic) and got her home after a long 4 mos! Also...I paid about $300 for her so NEGOTIATE y’all! Lol 😆
I had the pleasure of working with Chevy and I was in search of a particular type of dog for my very premature granddaughter (1.7lbs at birth and only 4mths inside womb). I wanted a female Shih Tzu because it was hypo-allergenic and small. Shih Tzus are hard to obtain and I knew Id have to wait. My notifications advised that one came in on a Sunday and I rushed over to get her. Although Chevy was off, she came over and finished my transaction. my furr-baby got sick and needed special attention (nebulizer treatments) after purchase, the manager, Matt was understanding and caring and his onstaff care team also. Instead of me having to pay my doctor $39/ea visit for a treatment, the team gives my baby a series of treatments while loving on her. This goes about and beyond the sale in my book. Yes, they may be alittle pricey but just think of it this way, you pay for what you get. I got a gem and shes worth every penny! My baby may have had some issues but like a mother who delivers a child, like my grandchild, you take on that responsibility because of love to care for them because every breathing being needs and deserves love. Im a 3 time purchaser and Im happy because you have to negate the cost and concentrate on the overall value.
Came into the store looking for small breed puppy. As soon as we walked in the girl says...We arent letting any of the puppies out for you to look at. My husband said...what if we find one we want to take home?. She says..well maybe you have to come back tomorrow! I said what? Your kidding.Well we looked at the see unhealthy puppies in the glass cages with no food dishes or water . There was a couple with rabbit waterers hooked on cage. No prices on the windows so my husband asked the same girl who greeted us for the price of the French bulldog puppy with the floppy ear. She said..its 8000.00 !!!! She said..you can apply for our credit card. I said...you all are CRAZY!!She said....well we have alot invested in them as each dog vet bill is 1200.00.!! This store needs to be investigated on the condition of these puppies. I have been farm raised in the northern states and have never experienced a pet store like this one... Apparently these are puppy mill puppies brought in. I talked with a local humame society and she also agreed these are puppy mill puppies. So sad..and Mad.
This store sold bad bones containing bad bacteria causing both of our dogs to get extremely ill resulting in hundreds of dollars in vet bills. We know for certain the illness came from the bones. Our pups have had lots of bones but this has never happened before. Should have known better, this place wasn’t impressive to begin with for a pet shop. Will never go back.
I am more than happy to adopt a puppy from you if you actually treat them with respect. You are unethical puppies trader who treat dogs as your product not a living thing. I wonder how much the salesperson can earn from telling lies and abusing the animals. They told people the dog was AKC registered and the breeders had all kinds of license with a preset ipad presentation. I looked up all the address listed on the documents about the breeder, but they were all fake. You are trying to get money from people who genuinely feel bad for the dogs who are mistreated by you. Not even a show dog is $5000, and their wellbeing is priceless.
I bought an AKC Husky pup from Petland. He was a little over 4 months old at time of purchase. After getting him home an settled. I got him into the vet for a check up an that’s when they determined he had hook worms! A parasite he should’ve already been treated for. Yet he was not properly dewormed an that’s why he still carried this particular parasite. This caused him to have very watery poop as well as stunted his growth due to malnutrition. It’s also sad to say, it has been much more difficult to train him due to the fact the dogs are never taken outside. Once they get to Petland, they remain in their kennel 24/7 only being taken out to be put in another kennel long enough to clean theirs. It causes these dogs to be completely clueless to the outdoors. I’m so glad I did purchase/rescue my pup, because this type of kennel life is unexceptable!
Horrible customer service! I went yeaterday and wanted to get a Siberian husky. The gentelman would not give me any information about the puppy or how to get him. He keep telling me he didnt know he would have to go look it up but would not do it. After the 3rd time asking him how much would the puppy cost me and what I needed to do i was ready to pay cash, we really wanted the puppy, i gave up and left. The man would not even look and see if this puppy was akc registered for me.I would not recommend them to anyone.
It’s heartbreaking. Their puppies come from sick puppy mills... Also I wanted to play with the ferrets but they all kept attacking my hand like they were starving to death. Please do not buy a puppy from here. Get one from a shelter. This place should close down, just look at all the bad reviews.
Need better staff or customer service training! My mom, two nieces and I entered the store and wasnt greeted nor acknowledged in any way. I counted 4 employees standing at the register making popcorn and chatting and 3 employees walking back and forth to the cages, again none of them asked if we needed anything. My mom had to ask which puppies were already sold.
I bought a hamster from there and when I purchased it I wanted to buy the cage that came with food, bedding, and the hamster. However besides the displays they said they were out of the cages that came with these things. So I had to buy a more expensive cage and separate food and bedding and I also had to payfor the hamster. So it ended up costing a great deal more. Not only was that enough to make me upset but my hamster died THREE HOURS after I purchased it. After these I heard many other people saying their pets from here also didn’t live long. Also they need more workers assisting costumers.
I have no idea how they are even allowed to stay open. They willingly and knowingly sale sick dogs.I once made the mistake if purchasing a dog from them. Almost died the next day, they did everything they could to blame us .I have spoken to employees at this petland. Stated themselves, these dogs are in very poor condition. They come to petland sick. Petland will nurse them enough to sell them. Will charge top dollar and wont say a word to customers. Please research petland prior to buying anything from themThey should be shut down. If the government wont do it. We can, we can bankrupt this company by refusing to buy their puppy mill sick dogs. Stop petland... Dont shop there
Very dissatisfied. we bought a 9 week old Shih poo on Jan 27 and then on Jan 31 I had to take him to the vet where he was diagnosed with Parvo. this morning we received a call from our vet that our puppy passed away from the parvo. do not buy a puppy from them. You will end up with a hospital stay for a very sick puppy.
I will not buy any more rabbits from this place. Ive bought TWO rabbits for my bestfriend since July and BOTH of them had died since then. I took the second rabbit to the emergency vet and they said that Petland has to have bad rabbits since both of them died in a short period of time. The rabbits just die out of no where. Im very disappointed. I feel like my money has been wasted and most of all, my friend has been hurt. She is an animal lover. Thanks for the quality, Petland.. (sarcasm).
If I could give them zero star, I would. They need to be shut down because of their unethical treatment of animals. They adopt out sick pets, they keep their animals in fences, they dont properly care for them. They run their store like a puppy mill. Ive seen so many dogs leave there and come to my clinic (within days) with an URI, parvo, etc.
I purchased my puppy from here the last week of Nov. 2016 , My small yorkie was sick from time of purchase with kennel cough that developed into pneumonia, My puppy was placed in the animal hospital on Dec. 7th for treatment and was released to go home for nights on Dec 22nd with instructions to bring the puppy back each morning to continue neb treatments and to insure the puppy was completely recovered considering that Petland was being held responsible for payments of treatment , When I returned the puppy as told by the medical professionals on the 27th of Dec ( They were closed for Christmas break ) My puppy stayed there all day and when I picked him up for the night on the 27th I was informed that the vet had summited payment for that day to Petland and the payment was denied because the puppies warranty had ran out ! I was given a $153.00 dollar bill for that day that I paid before leaving , I was also told that Petland would no longer pay for daily treatment that was still needed and that if my now 2 pound puppy did not get better with the antibiotics I was sent home with that he would need to come back and I would be responsible for the payment ! I called Petland on the 30th and explained the situation and was told that they would no longer cover medical expenses but I could bring my puppy back to them and when and if he recovered they would give him back at that point !! This is the craziest thing Ive ever heard of ! Not only did my puppy get sick from Petlands neglect but he is also contagious and will give other animals his infection ! This is the quality Petland is selling , sick animals and leaving the new owners with hundreds of medical bills after charging and large amount for the animals. I was told by the mgr at PetLand Columbus Ga. that she could not do anything about the money I was out of pocket for medical and offered no solution as far as medical treatment other than returning my pet ! This small baby has spent 80% of his life in a kennel receiving IV antibiotics , oxygen and neb treatments on top of ear infections and damaged vocal cords ! This is no life for any pet and this place needs their doors closed !!!! Not only does my puppy have this but a good friend of mine went through the same process of her puppy staying in the animal hospital with the exact same diagnosis for a Petland purchase and she was give 1/2 her money back on hers and all medical bills were paid ! I guess I wasnt stern enough to get the proper reactions to make sure this puppy makes a complete turn around but I will NOT stop here. Corporate Office has been contacted although they are closed for the holidays I will be reaching out ASAP !!! I WOULD SAY NEVER PURCHASE FROM PETLAND BUT...... YOU COULD BE SAVING A LIFE BY DOING SO , I KNOW TWO THAT WERE !!! .
Dont get hamsters from here .Do not offer large cages suitable for syrian hamsters. Sold me a Syrian hamster that was sick and I saw several other sick hamsters in the enclosure but did not understand what wet tail was until I got home. return policy and exchange policy is an absolute scam. Take your money somewhere else.
We adopted our Bullmastiff from here about 5 months ago. The store was clean, the dogs werent sitting in their own feces. Ive been to some small pet stores and its sad how some of these animals live. My dog was healthy and we havent had any problems. The prices are high but I think its worth it.
Overpriced and you cant even get your puppy that you purchased there , his nails cut. Im afraid to cut my puppys nails. So theyre still too long. And now hes sick and has ear mites and hes throwing up and theres something wrong. Take him to the vet today but my money is gone.
All I wanted to do was get a dog. I asked the woman if I could play with one and she said sure.Note* the place wasnt really full. Like 5 families.5 minutes later I asked her how long it would be, and she proceeded to tell me to hold on.She then walked away, and did not come back.25 minutes later, I asked another woman if I could and she said, You should grab a booth, sometimes its like that. Then waited 5 more minutes for an open booth and left.
Everyone that is complaining about how sick the animals are you do realize where they get the puppys from right? Dog Mills.. look it up. Its the worst place to buy a dog.. they breed poor momma dogs over and over again just to snatch the pups up for the store. Most momna dogs are not treated well . Its sick . Just do your self a favor and look into it. Smh
Customer service is horrible. Majority of employees are standing around joking, but not helping customers. This was the second time experiencing this.Management should really incorporate training to resolve this. You never know when the corporate manager will show up.
Been here a few times, there are so many issues with this place, it needs to be shut down & I’m not even sure how they are still open! Came in a few days ago again and the poor Pomeranian had blood coming out of his butt... I confronted one of the workers, I was told it was because of the food he’s been eating which is not how that works. I also saw one lady who works in the back screaming at the dogs and pushing them because they wouldn’t “listen” to her. This is a horrible place & these animals are suffering.!!!DO NOT COME HERE!!!
They are not forthcoming with information, say whatever and just lie to get you to purchase their pets. After youre committed, they double talk you and dont honor promises especially if youre not from the area (Columbus,GA). I hope other locations dont do business the same way...
I came here to get some crickets for my bearded dragon and it says OPEN UNTIL 9 well they weren’t. There were employees in the back and once they saw up they ducked behind a counter and kept peeking to see if we left. So we had to drive to the next pet store to get some crickets.
Some of the workers arent very educated in the breeds they have and can be rude. They also sell mixed breed dogs for a very high prices. I wouldnt buy puppies from petland to begin with. They claim to get their dogs from USDA Registered Breeders but in reality, its just a puppy mill.
The ripped me off, I told them that I was disabled, I suffer from short term memory lost I got a dog from them before and they refused to give me a copy of my original contract with someone called WAGS and I am in the military. I am going to file a civil suit against them because I forgot that my daughter and niece were there when I talked to the manager. They were really disrespectful to me in front of other customers talking loud. and the initials were not mine.
I dont know bout these other negative reviews but ive had a great experience with petland with my redtail boa Matt the manager provides me with EXCELENT service as do the other employees granted matt seems the most knowledgeable ( in the reptile category) but all the other employees have provided me with good service still as to a fact that whenever I feed my snake every wed or Thursday I bring him in there with me simply because the staff treats both me and him with extremely good service as for the other critters I have bought 2 ferrets from them before neither one had any health issues and were well taken care of people say that it is bad they are behind glass and stuff and all that but if you go to any petshop it is going to be like that atleast at petland they are bathed regularly fed and do not sit in their own feces and if you look most time they are all playful and seem to be happy and they get plenty of interaction as for a puppy mill I dont think people understand what that is puppy mills are illegal thats when someone privately breeds dogs and are usually not a registered breeder these dogs are all chipped and in good health dont let the review of a few get you down some animals are just sickly either do to poor genetics or bad immune systems but the people at petland do a fantastic job I would say and I enjoy everytime I walk into that store I honestly feel as if these people are friends the environment they create to customers I would say is the best they could provide ive never once had a negative experience there id rather go to them than any other pet store in a 100 mile radius I hope this review helps some people make up their minds but I would defiantly recommend them to anyone especialy if your looking for an akc animal or a reptile if you want it they can get it for you :)

2022-03-02We purchased a ferret and appreciated knowing the animal comes with a 1 year warranty. Our ferret is also vaccinated, neutered, and de gland so that made it much easier to buy. The staff was polite and knowledgeable.

2022-04-09Theres a reason their prices are set the way they are. Awful business model which subjects their product to cruel conditions. Ive purchased 2 dogs from here within the last 7 years. The first time: dog had pneumonia. The worst part is they try to cover this as kennel cough which causes buyers to not treat their new puppy, treating it as a common cold expecting it to go away on its own. They even give you a little handout explaining that. The reality has been a bacterial infection for both separate purchases (years apart) my second and most recent dog had the same issue. Both dogs required staying at the vet for days of treatment. Petland covers these bills fortunately, but it is an awful business model. High price tag to counter their cost of vet bills they incur. The dogs are shipped in poor conditions which spread disease. The expensive price no doubt exists to balance their product loss. Yes I supported the system buying a dog here but now I realized I shouldnt have.

2022-06-27I bought two rabbits from petland and they both died out of the blue. My first rabbit I had him for 5 months and he had a seizure out of the blue. I got another rabbit recently and I hadn’t had it for a month now. This morning I get up to feed the rabbit. The rabbit is not functioning(dead). I am very upset that petland are giving these people bunnies knowing they are dying from unknown complications. I am very sad because I have to go through another animal death. Never buying another rabbit from petland again.

2019-11-21Extremely nice workers , it’s not my first time here I always go either by myself or with the kids and every time they treat us super nice and showing love for the little poppies that you fell that they are doing a great job . If you don’t know you can pet the poppies for free and the other animal .The store is pretty clean and I hope you keep having this good energy that you transmit.

Im so thankful that Bjorn and myself get the best treatment that keep hims safe. Warranty, Health, and financing was easy and fast. Best experience ever. 2021-10-23Had a great experience here.. Steph was a wonderful pet counselor and made our overall experience the best it could possibly be.. She had a wonderful personality and was very helpful! The only thing I would change about the entire experience would be the prices of puppies! While they are absolutely precious, $4,000 is a little steep and completely unaffordable.

2021-12-23Spent 5 min in there. Least expensive dog was 4500.00. I wanted a dog, not a car note. I have lived all over this world and I have never seen a dog for $4,500 that didnt have some papers showing some champion bloodline.

2021-11-07My experience at overland was fantastic. Jackson Gunnells quickly helped help and gave great service. He helped my find the puppy I was looking!!! He also even helped get the best deal for him. When I’m ready to look for another puppy I will be definitely going back there and hopefully get his service again!!!
