Don’t waste your time! After waiting over a week, they called and canceled my dogs appt hours before. This is not the first time they’ve canceled. Today was a rescheduled! The first time I brought him in for his appointment they said there was no appointment scheduled!! I show up with dog in hand at some random time for what?? Of course there was an appointment. When I asked to speak to a manager, Alyssa hung up the phone. What a lousy way to run a business. Does corporate know how the employees at PetSmart, Newnan, GA represent their brand?? I’ll let them know today.
I was supposed to have a grooming appointment for my dog today when all of a sudden I get a email the day before saying its canceled so I call the store to see why it was canceled and they claim understaffed and covid. but they cant. call to explain that not getting my business anymore
Had a great experience at PetsMart today! Chris was highly knowledgeable and gave me great advise and took time to answer any and every one of my questions. Will certainly go back to that location because of how friendly and knowledgeable he was on the subject! Thank you Chris!
I will start off by saying that I am absolutely PLEASED with my visit to the groomer today !! Everyone was so polite , generous and professional (even the lady at the checkout counter was very helpful in today’s visit) !! Thanks to Alyshia O , My dog smelt absolutely AMAZING and his coat looked even BETTER !! I couldn’t have asked for a better visit !! I usually take my Lambo🐾 to the PetSmart in East Point Ga !!! Needless to say … we will NOT be going back there again !!! Thank you Alyshia and the Newnan PetSmart Family !! We are very thankful and will see you all soon !!
Went there to have my golden doodle groomed he is 5 months old but looks like an adult dog I did not realize that I was getting a trim around the legs trim around the privates clean the glands clip the nails and trim around the eyes it looked like someone took a pair of shears and just cuddle on this areas I could have done this at home my granddaughter could have done this and it cost me $49 I will never go back and I suggest you dont either
Had my dog groomed here and even paid extra for the furminator treatment (we get this often on our pup in Chicago) and oddly enough it made everything way worse. Curious if there was a bad shampoo they used or if they just didn’t actually do the furminator....Not coming back here for grooming.I do recommend the banfield @ this facility however.
Always a great place to shop. Theyre more expensive than Chewy, but they have almost every type of dog food you can imagine so its a good place to go if you forget to order your food. The staff are always friendly, but there seems to be a perpetual long line at the cash registers, so be prepared for a small wait. Their training classes are a good price and theyre pretty good if you keep up with them.
This store allows a rescue called Dogs Rock Rescue to continue to hold adoptions even though they’ve been contacted by people informing them that this rescue is bringing in sick dogs and puppies!!! Just since Christmas 2021 several have died including my own and got my 3 yr old dog at home sick who has also since died. This rescue lies about testing dogs and puppies and vaccinating them! Petsmart in Newnan, GA is allowing these people ti bring in sick dogs with highly contagious diseases like Parvo you can carry home easily on your own clothes to your home!
Depends on what you are going for but things are pricey. One thing I do like is they price match to make sure you do research ahead of time. Fish selection is poor and usually seem like they are in rough shape. Never bought other ani.als from there so I cant say much about them. Grooming salon is reasonable with prices but feel like they are starting to go downhill a little with the quality of work.
About a few weeks ago we went to Petsmart for cat food and Dogs Rock was there and the pups were inside because it was raining. We were just petting the pups until we saw one that would whined whenever we left her. She looked 8-10 week old Australian shepherd, we told Wendy Brewer we would just talk and see if we wanted to bring her into our family. After a while of talking we decided she would be a perfect part of our family. We finalized everything and took her to the car and she kept getting sick we thought she might have been allergic to the shot she had given her but we told Wendy Brewer she was reacting to the shot and she told us she would take her to her house if she continues getting sick. We brought her home and she was super sweet to the cats, we got her settled for the night and she was still getting sick. We Called Wendy Brewer and she said we can meet and drop her off in the morning, we drop her off and that night we were told she was doing great. Few nights later we were demanding info about our new puppy because we haven’t heard from her for a few days and we didn’t know what was wrong. We then get a text later that night after telling her that we will come pick our new puppy up she told us she was dead. After days of her telling us she was doing great to get these kind of news our family was distraught and was drained of emotion. We then told Petsmart what had happened and they were less than interested and told us they can’t do anything about the organization. We then figured out 96% of the dogs don’t make it that have been bought from the organization. We haven’t been back since the incident because we aren’t supporting that type of organization. Please take in consideration of bring your dog to Petsmart for a fun time on the weekends the dogs that are brought there from the organization HAVE PARVO! Please be careful!
They have a ton of pup choices at reasonable prices...would be a higher rating if parents would keep their children under control and not allow them to run at the dogs. NOT all dogs like children, please control your children or better yet, put them on a leash just like I have to do with my well-trained and obedient dog! Please have more items in stock...you are making it extremely difficult to take care of ourfurbabies and get the supplies they need. Very disappointed in what Petsmart has become. Alomst like the ghetto for pet shopping!!
Never again - RUDE staff.Completely dismissed my question. Yes, you may be busy with another customer, but you can surely find another colleague to educate me on the best habitat and the needs of a fancy rat while Im there. I care how animals live - does your staff care? No.
Grooming Salon: Rude front desk receptionist. When I asked for manager, she was rude too. When I got the store manager, the salon manager came over to insert herself where she should not have. Absolutely disgraceful and unacceptable behavior. I dont think theyve heard of customer service. They acted like they were doing me a favor, when in fact I was paying a good bit of money for a service. Will NEVER return!!!!
I bought my son a puppy for Christmas and we came to PetSmart to get the items we needed for him. I asked one of the young ladies who work there for assistance because I dont know anything about puppies..... She couldnt recommend any item or any food or any helpful information about our baby. I ended up asking a nice lady who had a HUGE Doberman for help and she ended up being a veterinarian. Im giving it three stars because PetSmart is a great store all together.... I just wish I would have got more assistance from the staff.
I have been using the Newnan Petsmart for grooming on my 2 papillons for 6 years everything was great until today. Someone was told to call me when my little ones were done and the person forgot. I called after 6 hours and they said they were done for a couple of hours so they had to sit in cages all of the extra time. I am not happy about it.
Thank goodness for John and Tony! Chewy shipped the wrong food to us the day before Christmas and we were almost out. We use Royal Canin prescription food and our vet was closed but John and Tony were so helpful to help us get our prescription number from Chewy so we could purchase our food and our dogs had their food for Christmas! Fantastic customer service and super helpful! Thank you guys!
We went to this store to find a specific item and I couldnt find what I wanted. After a few minutes I stopped an employee from doing a working on another task she immediately begun to assist me in finding what I was looking for, she went above and beyond for me. Service here is top notch.
Worst grooming customer service. It wasnt 30 min before my scheduled appointment I had already left the house when they called to say they were going to close early and cancled my appointment, and told me that I would need to go online and reschedule.No reason, no apologies, NOTHING.
This location does not deserve 1 star. My dog wasdropped off for grooming and they gave us the wrong dog at pick up. We found out when they calledto tell us our dog was ready. We already had a dog at our house who was giving us fits. Finally they blamed my husband when he went back to return the dog and pick up our dog. We were given 1 excuse after the next, blaming my husband. for them giving us the wrong dog. Stay away from this place!!
I would highly recommend anyone that has a pet and looking for assistance with your pet needs, I would suggest visiting this store. The employees are very friendly, customer service was great, they suggested food items for our new cats that was free with the adoptions because they were out of the item that came with the package. The foster mom of these cats were super friendly and provided all the information for the cats that we needed to know to make them comfortable. I do appreciate their help today.
We brought our corgi in for a trim, they misread it (accidents happen I get it) so it took over an hour and a half longer. I emphasized I needed his back hair trimmed. When I picked him up the groomer kept showing me his tail and butt that was trimmed. My 4Year old son also watch two of the employees put my dog in a chokehold to trim his nails. My dog seemed completely out of it once we picked him up. It took two days for him to get back to himself.I received the survey online for my experience. Once I completed the phone call I Received a phone call a day later at work by the “manager” of the grooming department. I refuse to believe she was a manager by her poor customer services skills, complete arrogance, and misuse of time. I tried to explain to her what happened and was CUT OFF to hear her tell me how much she loves animals watches commercials about animals and cries??? She then continues and tells me how a corgis hair is suppose to be like I have never owned, seen, or even heard of the breed before. After I felt like she called just to tell me I was wrong for survey and offered zero apologies for wasting my time again for that pointless phone call I hung up after saying, “ I was done with this conversation.” She called back in the most pompous way to ask “if I meant to.” Then proceeded to talk over me. The grooming portion of this store is beyond a joke which is clear by the management of it.Petsmart it’s self has a wonderful variety of stuff for pets and animals. The grooming side is a complete and utter disaster.
I had an unpleasant experience. I purchased Royal canned dog food for my sons dog, it made him sick, so I took unused product back. I did not have a recept, but Id purchased with bank card and my phone#. The cashier was very forceful that I could not have a refund to my card, and that I must accept a store-credit. I told her I didnt want a credit. Went outside to search my phone/online bank acct to find the purchase on my bank account, found it, went back in store, asked for manager. The manager asked me if I used my phone# with my purchase, which I did. After all the scene, he gave me a refund to my bank card. If the cashier had asked me the phone question in the 1st place, all the scene could have been avoided, and I wouldnt be writing this review now!? FYI: All purchases are made using your phone#, unless you opt-out. Just saying, if you return something to PetSmart, and dont have your recept, you can get a refund.If they had handled the situation more professionally, all confusion could have been avoided, and they wouldnt be getting a bad review.
Store was very clean. Diana handled my transaction, her customer service was great. My dog was able to walk around and everyone was very sweet to him. Banfield was also exceptional to him. Hes usually very nervous and they were able to calm him down and gain his trust. I think he has some new friends!
I received excellent service. On my way towards what I went to purchase, an employee acknowledged me and asked if I needed help. He carried 2 boxes of cat litter to the front for me ( even though I had a cart). He even loaded it in my car. He was very polite and helpful.
I am ready disppointed in petsmart. We always went to petsmart to get our dogs hair cut, but today they did a horrible job. My dog is a poodle so we asked for the lamb cut. When I came back to pick him up i noticed that the haircut they did wasnt the lamb cut. The person who did my dogs haircut Turned out to be the manager. I was so suprized that they were the manager it looked like she barely knew how to do the job. They camed out with the excuse that his hair was tangeled and they never told us that from the start. They also said that she told us she wouldnt be able to do the haircut. She never said that before we left him. Im very disppointed that happened especially said that person was the manager of the grooming salon.
A definite (( GO TO)) store , for everything related to you and your pets EVERY want and needs. VERY great place to bring and have your best friend along with you while you shop for them. Along with a really nice selection of (( New)) pets, if thats what your looking for.
Selection of certain brands of cat food I was looking for was a little limited, but overall they carry a good variety of cat and dog foods, all the live animals in the store appear well cared for and happy.Toy selection for dogs cant be beat, they have something of every kind of toy and then some. Cat toys are a little more limited, but I think thats just the market and not the store.Employees are friendly and helpful, and the checkout lines are easy and quick to move through, even if a lot of people are waiting.
Petsmart Newnan allows NCHS ladies to facilitate foster cats for adoption on Saturdays. I have had only a good experience with adopting my cats from there over the last decade or more. The ladies are so kind and knowledgable about the kitties. I just adopted a cat today 5/1/2021 and am so pleased with my JASPER. Thank you Newnan Petsmart for allowing your facility for cat adoptions.
My wife took both of our Maltipoos to try out the grooming services at PetSmart in Newnan, as our regular groomer was unavailable. The pet supply side of the business is probably why they get such a respectable rating. However, when she went to pick them up, she could not even recognize neither of our dogs as they were not groomed, but practically shaved. The ears, tails and bodies looked like I took my shears to them. It was by far the worst grooming weve seen, my wife was in shock and extremely upset and still is. She will be filing a formal complaint once shes calmed down, but I can let this go. We will never, ever use the grooming services again. Although we have always purchased our supplies from there, as we like to shop local, but no more. Chewy.com here we come.
One of the worst PetSmarts Ive been in. Theyre constantly out of fish unless youre looking for guppies or goldfish because thats all they have. They told me its due to the coronavirus but thats a flat out lie and a excuse for poor management. Every other pet store, chain and local, has been able to get fish now for quite some time.
I love the PetSmart app that enables you to make grooming appointments any time or place with the groomer of your choice! It is much more convenient than calling, especially if you think about it late at night like I usually do! :) .... just be sure to always bring your vaccination records because they did change computer systems and evidently all the records have not transferred over from years past. Initially, I was concerned with taking my pups to a big chain groomer, but our experiences have been nothing but great for years now! Thanks, Pet Smart!
Im able to pick up just about everything I need and their prices are much more competitive than they used to be (They also price match). I mainly order online and pickup at the store for the 5% discount. I never have to wait long and my order has never been incorrect. I havent had a bad experience during any of my visits.
This place was absolutely terrible. I will say the groomer was very nice to my dog but the other groomers were so miserable. They do not look like they love their life they look like they want to die. My dog was sitting in there for an hour and they did not even call me. I had to go up there myself and ask for my dog. They had told me that they would but they never did. So how long was he sitting there for like for real. I will not be back!!
DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! Petsmart is literally the worst place for your pets. No one knows anything about the animals they sell. The don’t know how to care for them at all. They constantly give you the wrong suggestions for your pets, you’re better off googling it yourself. The employees are rude too if you don’t want to help people don’t work in retail. They never keep stock of anything you need. The manager is rude and doesn’t need to be working with the public. You can spend hundreds in this store but their attitudes make you not even want to walk in the door. I’ll just go to petco they know how to satisfy their customers.
Most of junior staff is friendly and helpful and will answer all the questions with a smile unlike some more of experienced staff. Prices are a little higher compared to other pet stores but they are located just a couple miles from my house and so I guess that little extra price is okay.
When I purchased my pet bearded dragon some crickets the cashier struck up a conversation with me about her bearded dragons. She suggested that I get him some wax worms and walked me to where they were located and told me the best times to feed him. I really appreciated her ability to stop and make my experience more personal. I wish I knew her name she was awesome!
The prices can be a bit high. Best to go on days with good deals or if you have a coupon. The grooming is also a bit on the pricey side vs. local groomers but they do a quality job! worth the money. There is also a pet clinic inside. On the weekends they have pet adoptions which I do love about this place lots of local pets who need a home.
The reason I rate this two stars is simple, for example my wife and I went there today to get puppy formula online it was almost 8 dollars at that location same product same size, in the store it is almost $14 we showed them the online price and they said yes we do price match which is nice so they dropped it to what the website said and we paid 8 dollars, now if we didnt check online first we would have paid the full $14! So basically they are trying to get over on their shoppers, if youre just shopping and you expect a fair price this is not the store for you, go online first get the real price and show them then its reasonable, to me that is very misleading and I think they want to take advantage of you if they can, bad business.
Great spot to stop in and shop. Dog friendly store allowing your pet inside for socialization exercises. Only issue has ever been with other customers who dont control their pets. Friendly helpful staff. We have shopped at this location for 13 years. Isles are always clean and clear for wheel chair access.
Decent prices on dog and cat food. Fish department is a bit over priced (unless you catch their good sales). Bought a hamster for my son, good price and pretty knowledgeable staff with the small animals and reptiles. I dont dare ever return to the Banfield hospital, one bad experience and that is all it took for me. Have had a couple bed experiences with the grooming salon but some good ones as well. Manager Al is very outgoing and will do all he can for you.
I went to return a hamster because it says 14 day return policy and because my son wanted something a little friendlier. The staff was very contentious towards us. I mean i understand being a pet advocate, but the way they talk to us was very belittling. Not saying this a horrible company or anything, but the staff could definitely be a lot friendlier at this location. I will order the rest of my pet supplies on Amazon for the time being.
Employees that wash dry and cut your pets nails dept last 2 visits act like they dont want to be there. Terrible customer service. And when I took my dogs in for bath and deshedding , they didnt deshed to comb out coats. This yr took them to get nails cut and I didnt have vet papers with me, all they had to do was look at tags or call vet. Would go out of their way again. Took my dogs to my vet in peachtree city to get their nails cut when pet smart is closer to my home. Other employees working in store and not grooming dept were great with great attitudes. I gave only one star because of grooming employees which gets 0 in my opinion. I say if u dont like your job, quit cause their are other people who needs a job and I bet they will have great attitudes.
I went in to get some veterinarian prescription food for my dog because I completely ran out, and the cashier at the register laughed at me for having my written prescription in my hand and called the manager on duty and she told me I wasn’t allowed to buy the food with the written prescription and that I had to go to banfield to get a card, which I couldn’t do because they were closed. I’ve bought this exact same dog food here before and the one in Peachtree city and I will no longer shop at the newnan pet smart because of your poor customer service.
IF YOU HAVE FISH:There is a lady who works normally with the fish, I dont know her name but she is older with short gray hair. She is the ONLY person i go to see about my aquarium/fish needs. Ive spoken to the other people but they seem to make you feel bad for your tank not being in good shape, but not her. Ive had alot of problems that ended up me needing antibiotics, ich cure, and on the good side a baby fish net to protect my babies. She doesnt make me feel bad, but calms me down and tells me exactly what i need to do. I go to this store almost once a week because it seems theres always a problem with my tank and I always hope she will be there. If shes not then I dont want to speak with anyone else. She is absolutely AMAZING. DONT SPEAK WITH ANYONE ELSE. ONLY SPEAK WITH HER. I worry about my fish 24/7. My brain turns to mush and I cant think of anything else (is this what its like to have children??) And she calms me down and reads the back of the box to me and it calms me down.Im so sad i dont know her name, she is amazing and i wont go to anyone else
Most of the cashiers are really nice and extremely concerned with animal welfare. Ive only had a couple of bad experiences and they usually occurs in the fish dept. They seem to be a lot less enthusiastic about their job than the front end. Overall, a great place to shop for items I forget to buy cheaper at Walmart or Amazon. Also allows me to socialize my animals.
Groomers very helpful, reserved my requested hours even after I told them I wouldnt be coming, I case i changed my mind, which i did, they worked with me while i tediously called the vet to have records faxed. They washed, clipped nails, ceaned eyes and ears on my two 2 year old beagles. They obviously cared about my pets well being, informing my afterwards that one of the dogs was noticeably afraid of the dryer, she wrapped her in towels instead, very thoughtful! Price was lower than other groomers and they did an excellent job.
I absolutely love coming to this petsmart! The cashiers are friendly, but my favorite part is looking at all of the animals and fish in the store. The workers keep the little environments looking tidy and are always friendly when you ask questions. My favorite employee always has pigtails and knows tons about fish! Thanks guys for doing a great job!
I understand why there are limits on some items. When I see an employee make an exception for someone because they are a friend or family member...😠 I live 45 minutes away and cant get enough super worms to make it through the week and have to make multiple trips due to the limit.
Weve been to this petsmart for years to get all kinds of pet supplies and we even adopted our cat from here a few years ago. Everything was great until I decided to buy a hamster from here recently. The store only had the cashier and one other person on the floor the day I went in. I had to wait over 20 minutes after asking for help for someone to come help me in getting the hamster. Nobody bothered to inform me on anything about the hamster, they just asked if I had a cage already and had me sign the paperwork and that was it. The hamster ended up having wet tail so I decided it would be best that I take him back. The people were very insensitive about the whole thing and seemed to be shocked that I was bringing back a sick pet ( I guess they usually only ever get pets back once theyve died?) There was one friendly employee in this whole ordeal
I havent picked up my stray yet. I DID make an appointment for her to be groomed at 11:00. Got there, they threw her in a kennel said shed be ready in 4 hours. I had to cancel other engagements due to their poor timing. Ive heard pampered pets is good. Theyll get her next app
This place is great, I really love the fact that you can take your pets in with you and the store is always clean and the staff here are very friendly and helpful. Benafield pet hospital can be a little pricey but it is also one of the only places you can go to on a Sunday if you need to
I gave this two stars as I have never had a problem with the store nor the pet hospital. The grooming salon on the other hand has been horrific to deal with. My pet has been going to the grooming salon most of her life because we found a good technician who always is attentive and very good with our dog. We have never used anyone else up until our technician went on vacation and our dog (Lady) really needed a grooming. We opted for a bath since our regular tech was not there to do the grooming. We should have never even considered! For a simple bath, Lady was at the grooming salon for over 4 hours!!!! The tech who supposedly gave her a bath complained about Lady using the restroom on herself twice. What do you expect a pet to do when you are negligent and not taking her out to use the bathroom? Once we got to the cry Lady begin crying. An usual cry. So we let her out of her kennel. Boom there it was blood everywhere. Come to find out her nails were cut, clipped or whatever waaaaaaay too short. We had to rush her to the pet hospital (Banfield). The Dr. was also a complete A**. She acted as if this was nothing major. So did the manager. Lets not forget the Dr. asked nothing about my dogs history. Being that she has kidney failure, if she got an infection than shed be dead and gone!!! The whole experience was horrific. People if you do not want your dog hurt please keep them away from that salon. I am going above everyones head and complaining until I feel satisfied. Everyone please steer clear of here.
We adopted our cockapoo 4 years ago from petsmart, and have almost never had a problem with him. Personally I dont understand the complaints about the fish department. we have bought at least 20 fish from them and never had a problem. We recently bought a tiny water frog from them and he died within a week But my dad went back and I think we got a full refund. Love Petsmart.
I would give this place zero stars if I could after my experience with them just now. I called to ask if this store had any diamond doves or society finches in stock which are birds that specific store carries and I was laughed at shortly followed by getting hung up on.Not professional and I do not recommend.
Fish here always seem to have parasites, and knowledge on any animal aside from cats and dogs seems limitedOverheard an employee telling a customer that a 10 gallon aquarium is to big for a beta fish 😂.... I guess the millions of gallons they naturally habitat in is not good 🤔
Ran into this Petco for live fish. Needed about 15 goldfish to help establish the echo system in my fish pond. And at 28¢ each how can you go wrong. Cheap way of making sure the water is balance before but koi for the pond. Put 2 in a small tank inside along with 5 neon tetras. The neon tetra were a deal at 1.59 each. All fish inside and out are alive, doing well, and growing fast. Always a pretty quick in and out stop with a very friendly knowledgeable and professional staff. Petco..... A fast convenient affordable place for live fish and supplies. Dont know about other pets or pet services so cant say about those. The inventory they stock in live fish provides one a sufficient variety and colorful fish for your basic aquarium.
I scheduled an appointment for my chihuahua to be groomed. Its his 4th time going there since we got him, his information is already in the system. The first lady acted as if checkout me in was a difficult task and only booked a nail grinding. She then walked over to another customer, who was already being assisted and did not take my dog to the back. The second lady had to correct it and did so with an unpleasant attitude. He will not be returning to petsmart. Id rather spend my money at a smaller business that values all of their customers.
WARNING: DO. NOT. Do not take your beloved fur babies to this horrible salon. Took my 10 yr old Pomeranian (Chance) for a bath and grooming. He loves to play outside with the big dogs so he was also a little matted. I made the mistake of returning to the salon, specifically scheduling with one girl because she had done a great job the time before, matts and all. When I got there, they told me she had just left for lunch, so I figured she would take over once she got back from her break....didnt happen. I came back to get Chance 3 hours later at the scheduled time and they told me itd be another 45 minutes. (Ended up being 4.5 hours!) Then I saw him through the glass and the random groomer had shaven him down completely. I could see his age spots and pink skin. At this point I was livid and ready to get him out of there. It wasnt until I got home I noticed TWO major bloody lacerations under his neck; either from the clippers or him straining trying to get out of the harness. I cried. Its been a week and Ive noticed Chance has started to randomly shake like he never has before. I will be taking Him to the vet tomorrow. Regardless, PLEASE DO NOT USE THEIR SALON. I would rate them negative stars if I could. Worst experience ever.
I took my yorkie twice. The first time I can honestly say I felt like they gave me the wrong dog back!!!! I took a yorkie but picked up a Chihuahua. Shaved down to his skin!!!!! So I said maybe they had no choice...he was a little matted. I took him again and its bad when you are leaving and people ask you...WHAT KIND OF DOG IS THAT....omg.... I have a pure bred Yorkshire Terrier and he looks like a dog of 4 different breeds. I am ANGRY. On top of that his eyes were still dirty. I had to pay $72.00 to pick up a ugly dog with DIRTY EYES!!!!!! I will NEVER let them groom my dog again!!!!
I visit this petsmart several times a week for crickets mostly and other supplies. Its close to home, but Ive been to the one in Peachtree city several times and I have been disappointed by them all of those times. The staff at the newnan petsmart are super friendly and helpful, and know what theyre talking about. Ive become friends with several of them just coming in regularly. Their fish and fish tanks are superb and they always have a good stock. Their other animals are always healthy and in good hands with the staff. Theyve never not had what I needed, and if theyre out of the crickets in the bin, theyll give you a discount on the small boxes of crickets. I highly recommend this petsmart to anyone and everyone in need of pet supplies or wanting a pet. Thanks!
I will never go back to this location again. The staff is extremely rude. I was taking some pictures of adoptable dogs for a local rescue inside the store and was approached by a manager who angrily fussed that we couldnt take pictures inside. She said we could go outside (30 degrees and snow flurries) to do it but cant get the Petsmart Logo in the pics. Apparently she doesnt know the law because a public place such as the outside of a building can be photographed by anyone. This is only one of several negative encounters Ive had with this store. Their photography policy is not posted anywhere inside their store and I couldnt find any information online. If they are going to treat their customers so rudely, maybe they should post the rules first...we cant read their minds. They lost a customer for life...and in the past I have spent a lot of money per month there. Petco in Peachtree City is MUCH more friendly and willing to help.
If you are considering adopting a pet via PetSmart, please do yourself a favor and read this review before you do. I wish my family and I had this information before our traumatic visit.Let me start by saying experience attempting to adopt a dog, specifically at the PetSmart in Newnan GA (Newnan Pavilion, 1072 Bullsboro Drive, Newnan, GA, 30265) can only be described as WILDLY unreasonable, illogical, in a word: ABSURD.After EXTENSIVE research for months attempting to decide on exactly which breed of dog to adopt, we decided as a family that we would check out our local shelters and PetSmart to see if we were interested in any dogs they had available, considering that most desperately need homes. Upon our arrival at PetSmart, things went according to plan. My sister instantaneously fell in love with a Pyrenees mix from the TenderHeart & Great Pyr Rescue. After interacting with it for nearly an HOUR, we decided that this little female puppy was a perfect match for our family. We live on spacious land (20 acres) and have an older golden retriever, along with luxurious igloo dog houses with plush beds inside in our mudroom for the dogs to retire at night. Needless to say, our home would be any energetic dogs dream environment. We approached the woman in charge of the adoption process ready to proceed with the adoption. Upon sitting down, this woman begins to ask us a series of questions, and lets us know that we are required to have someone do a home visit with the dog on a future occasion. *Interesting* but reasonable (though this has never been a requirement for any full breed dog weve adopted in the past.) She then begins to question my mother on what the dogs living conditions will be like. She noted everything I noted above. The woman immediately took issue with the fact that the dog would not be a fully inside dog, as in, it would sleep in our mud room at night instead of in our bed, and be free to go outside when it wished for exercise. My mother thought she was joking. Again, we have a PRIME living space for a Pyrenees, and the thought of a Pyrenees living indoors is literally absurd if you are at ALL familiar with the breed. The woman then proceeded to tell my mother that adoption would be impossible for us unless we agreed to make the dog a fully indoor dog that had accessibility to us 24/7. We obviously refused the idea, but the woman insisted that it was only fair to the animal that it live inside (I find this argument highly amusing considering this would be borderline abusive for a dog that thrives on guarding a significant area of land constantly.) My mother had no choice at this point but to break the news to my teenage sister, who was snuggling the animal on the floor a few feet away (as she had been for the last hour.) My sister burst into tears. She rarely ever cries, but at this point, her heart was broken. She LOVED that dog, and had spent an hour bonding with it. When my sister weakly asked her why she could not take the puppy home, and that she would love it and care for it as best she could, the woman would only mutter, I want it to REALLY be a part of the family. My family had no option but to leave with her in tears, and the rest of us fuming at the idiocy of this woman from the TenderHeart & Great Pyr Rescue agency.While I understand the noble motivation for an animal to thrive in safe and loving living conditions, my familys home is the APEX of dog homes for breeds like the Pyrenees. And this woman was so GLUED to the idea that indoors are the only good option for a dog that she could not see past her prejudices and pride to REASONABLY assess the situation. DO BETTER, PETSMART. Your partnership with TenderHeart & Great Pyr Rescue created a detrimental and traumatic experience for my family that will not be easily forgotten. You broke my sisters heart over a technicality that is not even specified in your adoption policies. I am beyond outraged by our experience with PetSmart, and I can promise that we will never be returning.

2022-01-23If i could give zero stars i would. Just picked my dog up from the Newnan location. Excited to see me he’s jumping and i look down at the table and there is blood all over the table and floor. Not a little bit a lot. I’m freaking out because the lady didn’t tell me why he was bleeding until i asked and isn’t bringing him to me. I was told he snagged his nail on the door when he jumped up on it. It’s a smooth door so not sure what he snagged it on. The lady working was not being nice to him when she tried calming him down to get the bleeding to stop. Just yanking on him and yelling that he won’t calm down. I just took him and checked on him in the car. Bleeding stopped but half the nail is missing. Blood dried into his fur. Looked at his other nails and they look horrible with chunks of nail still hanging there. Will never bring him back there. EVER! He is okay but won’t let me near that paw. The photos are from after i cleaned most of the blood off him.

2022-07-03I went to pet smart to get some fishes. They where very friendly. Very helpful and answered my questions. Very clean inside. I like petsmart got all different kind of animals and fishes.

2022-03-29Always able to accommodate my pups nail trims. Grooming salon staff is friendly and does a good job. Store is usually busy on the weekends but they do a good job of getting thru the long line. Makes being a pet owner easier with their abundant product availability.

2022-03-14Not sure if the employees are working day jobs to support their all girl Marilyn Manson cover band for the off-season or since they have to wear a uniform theyll each wear something different. In my first trip to this location seeking doggy treats there were plenty! Store was clean shelves looked stocked i interacted with 3 employees who were friendly; intelligent answered all my questions and not a single fake smile or chastising welcome or thank yous ! I rate the staff here in this location 5 stars( bravo ladies !). I recommend this location to anybody needing help finding items for their pets needs.

2022-05-11We took two dogs to the PetSmart groomer and they did an excellent job with them, both dogs got bathed and nails trimmed along with haircuts. We were very satisfied with their work. Tuesdays they give military discounts🇱🇷

2022-05-25It used to be okay but this last time I went it was awful. While I was dropping off my dog and I witnessed one of the groomers getting frustrated and yelling at the dog she was working on. She was annoyed because the little dog was pulling his paw away.. then later when I picked up my dog I noticed she had been cut in multiple places and had blood on one of her paws. When I brought it to their attention one of the girls proceeded to act shocked and then stated “it looks like she cut herself”. Please don’t take your dog here without checking them out first. Maybe they were just having a bad day but I’m surely never taking my dogs there again.

2022-03-11Dear PetSmart,I love this bird. Ive decided to name her Carmen because were bff now and thats just how we do.I dont have $700 to buy Carmen but we had lots of fun playing through the window. Its been like 3 days and I bet she misses me so so much.Please dont allow anyone to buy her yet because that will mess up our friendship. Tell her to wait for me because I swear to all of the old gods Im coming back for her. I might have to sell an organ first, but its happening.Nice, clean store, though. The fish tanks look healthy. The gerbils were cute. The parakeets were a bit lazy.I want Carmen, though.
