Not equipped for separation anxiety dogs. Their practices make it worse unfortunately. Using a loud filing tool that i specifically said no to due to my dogs known reactions with machinery. Won’t be returning. They placed not only themselves at risk for bite injury , but my dog for injury as well.
I recently moved to Savannah and found that the Victory Dr location is superb! Ive lived in several cities, and by far I am most satisfied with this Petsmart.GROOMING: My puppers Leeloo has been groomed there now 3 times, and it just keeps getting better. Kyla especially does such a great job. She trims her up from the messy fraggle look (she has very long fur especially on legs and tail) to a beautiful silky fox, and it doesnt look unnatural or too much like a haircut. They treat Leeloo very well, and she comes out smelling wonderful and looking lovely.STORE: Staff is friendly and helpful and doesnt try to sell stuff you dont need. Well-stocked with new items regularly. They also have free samples of a variety of food and treats every first Saturday of the month.
I always have fun in PetSmart. I find out all kind of interesting things about dogs especially their dietary needs. Because I make doggy treats and food for my sisters Mun Pin. I also get to meet pet owners and ask about the different breeds I run across. Since Im looking for a dog. The people are friendly and very knowledgeable about most questions I coke up with and if they dont know they point me in the right direction.
My dog’s appointment was at 12:30, and I did not pick him up until nearly 6. Five hours for a groom is ridiculous. When I make an appointment, I expect my pet to be taken care of immediately at that appointment time, not just dropped off and taken care of at some point. I had to call the store multiple times to get my animal back. My dog is an emotional support/service animal, to have him at stuck at the groomers for nearly 6 hours left me incapacitated for a majority of the day.When I got my dog back he was shaking, crying, and scared. Not to mention his horrible cut. He now has bald patches, his tail and feet were not touched at all, and look ridiculous along with his shaved body.
Poor customer service. They claimed they couldn’t take an item back that was being returned from another PetSmart (the other store said I could return it to Victory Drive location. I specifically asked upon purchase because I wasn’t sure if the item would work or not…pet steps for my small dog). I called the other PetSmart after this store told me I couldn’t return it, and the other manager said they could override it.The Victory Drive manager finally did so, but without any apology or any word whatsoever. I received the silent treatment during the whole transaction. She could have just done it initially instead of me having to go through an unnecessary exercise.Good customer service continues to be hard to find! This is why I will do even more shopping online where I don’t have to deal with people who aren’t willing to be helpful.
Cannot stress enough they are always running out of popular dog food. I’ve switched brands two different times and they never have either the big breed purina pro plan puppy or the royal canine lab adult the 3 times I’ve tried. It’s very frustrating and so I’ve stopped going.
Helpful and knowledgeable staff at your service while you shop. Wonderful selection of beta fish and accessories as well as supplies for your fur babies. Check out their adoption events to find your newest member of the family. Dog training classes offered were very successful with our dog. I can’t wait to take advantage of the grooming services the end of May.
I was standing in line for checkout and placed my items on the counter, the employee said it was time for her to leave so she took my items and placed them on the counter behind her and said they would check me out. Apparently the customer ahead of me had to step away for a moment so the cashier working that register came up and told me to step back and wait. The original cashier then proceeds to check out the person BEHIND me. Another employee then comes from the back and opens another register, not to check me out, but to check out the original cashier who was too worried about clocking out to take care of the customers....
I love going here Chris Tyler Matt and genie make it a point to get to know the pets and people that come in. Whenever I have a concern they are always there to assist and help put my mind at ease. I work by the abercorn location but on my way home will go out of my way to go to this location. They are extremely friendly and truly make us feel like family. Thank yall for being so amazing to us
I came in for fish supplies and snails. I recently moved to the area and was very pleased with how healthy the fish were in comparison to the petsmart from where I moved from. I usually buy my fish from a fish store but I had a terrible experience with one nearby; all of the fish I got are sick and Ive never had this problem. Tank is fully cycled and I have been keeping fish for years. I will be purchasing my next fish from here and will update with my experience. Staff wasnt super friendly however they did help me find everything I need when I finally found someone to help me. The store was very clean and all of the reptiles were also in very good health surprisingly.
It was a fun experience there with my dog ,Phoebe, She was really excited to go in.She was trained there when she was a puppy so she wanted to go into the training room! There was Bones,treats,(pet)food,(pet)clothes,And animals! She saw her trainer and got really excited that she peed... Thankfully they have a station to clean up pet accidents. So you can say it is a clean store. She also met plenty of other dogs there and we made a few playdates for her! While we were checking out the Worker was kind enough to give her a treat from there treat box. Phoebe got really excited and gobbled it all up!
Can’t buy fish without half of them shortly dying. Just bought two angelfish and they died after two days, should’ve learned my lesson by now. All my other fish I’ve had for over a year with no problems but anytime I buy fish at this location they don’t live long. Buyer beware.
Sent my dog to PetSmart for grooming. He has 3 small cuts on his neck. His face and chin hairs were not cut. I asked that his ears be cut in Cocker Spaniel fashion, but that was not done. And the hairs between his paw pads was not yrimmed/cut! I was disappointed. The grooming service manager; Requel took the time to cut his ears properly and she trimmed the hairs on his face and trim. This morning I returned and Kala was gracious enough to cut and trim the hairs between my dogs paws. Very bad experience!
I went through the drive thru to place my order. At the window I noticed on my rewards that I could get a free coffee with my purchase. When my QR code was scanned it took the cost from my account. I questioned the cashier and she assured me I would see a return of the amount. SMH ....still waiting!!!
I went to get fish. Granted i was choosing fish that couldnt coexist in my tank, and i appreciate knowledgeable associates guiding my incorrect decision.That being said whats with the attitude from the fish dept. If i want to feed the fish to my cat whats the difference. Dont tell customers you wont sell them fish unless they pass your satisfaction.Your a fish salesman not an aspca rep.
Had issue with dragon I purchased he wasnt eating took em bk had it with few more I told em he hasnt eat in a week they said if they took another one bk they wasnt going to sell me another one so I told him I wanted money bk the animal was alive when I took it to her she gave me the ppr I go up to register she yells out 8n front of everyone this animal dead is she said she need to mark it on my paper I know how to raise dragon I am admin on dragon site I have healthy 4 yr old that wasnt profecianal like I just let it go they arent big enough to sell I got two birds an 2 hampster from there but I dont recommend anyone to get dragon from there
This is your one stop & shop destination for just about anything you would need for you pet, exotic or otherwise. Also, you can find those exotic pets here as well, snakes and tarantulas and iguanas to mention a few. The thing my Chihuahua likes the best about the place is he is free to come on in with me and meet some fellow doggies.😊
My dog hates having her feet touched, she is a big pitbull and not always easy to manage when shes upset. I know everyone in the grooming salon probably dreads dealing with us, but they never act like it! They are so patient with her. Eddie, in particular, is especially good with her. He seriously treats her as if she was his own dog. The entire grooming staff is top notch, but Eddie is my favorite. He really goes above and beyond to make my dog feel safe and comfortable during one of her least favorite things. Thank you guys for everything!!
Employees are a bit uneducated when it comes to guinea pigs. The guy who handled my adoption claimed they couldn’t have wood chips as a bedding because they don’t have eyelids and it can splinter. The truth is there are specific types of wood chips that are acceptable for bedding. Aspen is safe but cedar isn’t because it causes respiratory issues.
The female dog trainer is rude.She pushed my dog out of the way so she could get down an aisle with her class yet there was another route. I was speaking to an associate. At a time when people are social distancing she walked right up to my back and pushed my dog out of her way. She was less than a foot from me. The associate I was talking to apologized to me. I should have made a scene. If it had been an older dog she really could have hurt the dog. If she was sick she could have infected me. I will shop elsewhere.
I thought my dog got a great cut but once the fluffing was gone I realized how bad the cut was!!Her ears aren’t trimmed, her feet aren’t trimmed, her face is not the cut of a schnauzer it’s all chopped up!Never will I take her there again especially after paying $51 for hair cut spare me!!!
This location has been going downhill since the previous manager, Mike, was transferred to the Pooler location. There is typically only 1 cashier up front and my last 2 visits they have been out of stock of common items. I have not had the guts to use the grooming salon to be able to report on its quality recently. I can give high marks to the desk staff at this Banfield vet center for always being helpful and friendly, but I have never seen the doctor there. I am hopeful that this location will turn back around.
Sales staff is nice. The dog training lady is a little pushy, but its that kinda of old school marm, slightly disapproving pushy that means shes probably a good teacher. Still comparing food prices around town, but their toy selection is on point, and I noticed they have an animal clinic as well. Good experience all in all.
Cherie M is an awful groomer. I came in crutches because I had an appointment for my little dog, all of his vaccines are up to date. Has his 2019 rabies tag, but that was not enough information for her. Im happy I get to take him elsewhere to some more thoughtful people that actually care.
Store is okay. Grooming experience was not okay. We showed up on time. There was one groomer present and he was working on one dog with at least one more in a crate in the back. He was nice enough but seemed surprised we were there. Second groomer showed up 20 minutes later but wasnt the one we had booked with. Dogs really needed a bath so took a chance and left them. Came back two hours later to check them. They had been bathed but no grooming started yet. Both were whining and one was limping. Paid for baths and left. Very disappointed. We wont be back.
150% will not return to this location , only ended up here because I was in the area , needed to ask some questions about a pet I purchased so I asked to speak to a manager , once the phone got reconnected I asked who I was speaking to and the woman replied a manager 😐 absolutely uncalled for and unprofessional If you ask me. May be posting another review because I am now on the way to return everything I bought.
Couldnt have had a better experience as that I had at new ( to me ) Pet Smart shop. I am a regular at the other store but thus will be so much more convenient for me. Both persons who helped me when over an above the help I needed.. thanks for your providing our city with two wonderful pet store! Sarah
Very upset. One of the groomers cut my dog twice. The second cut ended up with him taking a trip to Banfield. They suggested dull blades. Still in the process of getting proper justice for me poor dog. I dont know how we will ever get his hair cut now.Management was nice.
My Peekapoo was as Cute as a Button when I picked her up and she smelled amazing.👍🏼She walked to the car like she KNEW she was a little Diva!😆I can tell if my CoCo Chanel has been mistreated and she wasnt.Petsmart, on Victory Drive, is very professional and I will continue using their salon indefinitely!!!❤
I strongly dislike pet smart because of their animal treatment specifically with reptiles. There are horrible videos online of awful conditions for their animals and they charge a ridiculous amount for things other stores charge reasonably. Most of the workers know nothing or wrong information with the reptiles. Please dont buy reptiles from them. In savannah go to underworlds.
I dont like leaving bad reviews, but this branch is terrible for one reason, and one reason only. On every single occasion that I have had to interact with the older women who is the dog trainer on site, she has been nothing short of rude and judgmental. She always asks what kind of dogs I have, and each time I tell her we have two pitties an immediate look of absolute disgust comes over her face, followed by some sort of rude, passive-aggressive remark about them. The latest occurrence occurred just yesterday. I was buying a second one of one of our dogs favorite toys. We only have one of these types, but they share it very, very well (along with the other million toys they have). When I told her I was getting a second one, and she proceeded to ask what type of dogs I had, I knew exactly what was going to be her response. Well you should probably consider yourself one of the few lucky ones then (in an EXTREMELY passive aggressive tone) was her response. I am not sure why I even bother dealing with her. As a dog trainer, you should be first and foremost, accepting of all breeds, of all different shapes, sizes, and temperaments. Being a good dog trainer should come second. You should be willing to help anyone with open arms, and with NO passive aggressiveness or judgement passed. This woman needs to be removed from this store as Savannah is a very pittie-friendly city (from what we have seen and experienced thus far). Yes, many people are wary of them, but our dogs are both rescues, who we are very proud of their behavior, resilience, and demonstration of how the breed is as a whole. We monitor them very closely when they are sharing toys and in general, and are very diligent puppy parents. If you cannot accept different dog breeds to the point where you feel the need to go out of your way to make rude and passive comments to customers at a store you work at, you shouldnt 1) be working there and 2) you should 100% not be a dog trainer.
Nothing much to say. Its Petsmart, what else could you want? This location is small. Sometimes have to drive and extra 15 minutes across town and back to get what I need from a bigger one in, but thats understandable, they do the best they can with the space they have.
Pet Smart staff has been grooming my Maltese Snoop for a few years now. Today he was groomed by Alex she did an awesome job of detangling him ..I will not have to shave all of his hair off..thank you so much Alex for taking the time to do this and being patient allowing My Snoop to take breaks in between his detangling. He looks great for our Atlanta trip tomorrow

2022-02-19Worst customer service in the World....for the past two to three weeks.Ive reported Before .. soo No more Patience!First it was Banfield during MY FIRST VET CHECK ✅now its the check out cashiers.. they are soooo UNFRIENDLY with..a T in ATTitude... TRULY not in work mood nor Im sure PetSmart culture.This cashier made me walk back to the aisle and DIDNT assist..I explained items are not located in the correct areas .. AFTER I report it.. heres the outcome.Specifically..This Morning..a particular cashier at 930am..Rung up my item...I flashed the barcode camera shot on my phone to display the item desired and clearance pricing wanted..that rung up incorrect.AFTER the item rung up NOT on clearance.She said she would honor my inconvenience.Then...told me to walk back to the aisle with items not in place .. and asked me to bring another item for purchasing....I brought her the cat food flavor my cat does not eat.. Again patiently flashed the barcode.. and explained the situation..Asked for manager assistance.After I asked for a manager ..She then left her register... walked to the aisle mumbling back at me angrily..in front of customers.She Came back and Told me WHAT Would be Done!No Maam..I DEMANDED the Manager again!Manager nice as can be ..Honored THE mistake.. rung me up and I left.I WILL NOT be back ..I have Transferred my Banfield services and shopping needs🛍️ to the Abercorn location.Its ALWAYS a ...Customer FRIENDLY atmosphere.

2022-06-02They need more help. I only saw 2 ladies working as I roamed up and down the aisles repeatedly looking for a thunder shirt. I was told twice the general location but I just couldnt find them. Would have been nice to be shown rather than told but the did have an amazing selection of dog food and toys. Could this be a sly marketing technique? If so, its effective! Id shop here again just for you selection but I would be sure I had plenty of time.

2022-04-20We recently adopted a kitten through PetSmart and found almost everything we needed for her the same day. All the staff and associates we friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The store is clean and the aisles are set up where you can easily find what you are looking for--and the little extras too! We will definitely be returning to this store often!

2022-02-25I enjoy this PetSmart because all of the staff is extremely friendly and very helpful they never make you feel like they don’t want to help Banfield has the best customer service and they always remember your fur baby by name and the groomers are absolutely amazing I love each one of them and sometimes having a hard time to choose who to book my appointment with because they’re all so amazing tonight was our first night for obedience training and Priscilla was awesome.

2022-04-14Not one to post reviews but they messed up my boys haircut and were pretty upset about it. We normally go to abercorn but they didnt have a vacant spot for weeks and was wanting to really get my dogs haircut so I tried this one on Victory drive since they had a vacancy. Groomer specifically took our dog from us. I even asked if shes the one cutting his hair and since were really particular about his hairstyle. I showed her a photo of the style we wanted and specifically asked NOT to cut the hair on his tail and on his ear and she did. Cut doesnt even look close to one I showed her. Felt like she just cut his hair the way she wanted and ignored every instruction I said. 🙄 Not coming back again.

2022-02-20Always a good visit. I picked up some Tetras for my tank. The previous tank occupants had passed away. Staff is pleasant and the variety good as ever.
