Service was good probably better than any pho places. Broth was rich in flavor and authentic. The brisket had some smoked flavor which was new but I really liked it. Would have given 5 stars but noodles were over cooked. I would give it another try to confirm if it was only that one time.
My friend and I wanted to try Vietnamese food and after searching we decided to go here. Bryan (I hope I got his name right) was absolutely amazing at explaining everything we needed to know about the dishes and the food came out quick and delicious. Will definitely be returning! Thanks Bryan!
Went there with my friends for dinner, place wasnt busy at all. They had 3 servers and the manager. Got seated quickly. Orders took awhile and the x2 spring rolls my friends ordered didnt even get brought up to the table and were asked if we wanted them after our entrees, complete fail.Got asked what we needed once and didnt even refill my drink. They couldve handled the staff better as they just stood there mostly, talking among themselves rather than being attentive, saw some customers feeling the same as the servers just walk past them instead of taking their orders. 🙄
I am glad there are more pho places opening in our area. I always admire Vietnamese culture and food. Not all places are created equally the same and this is what I have experienced with this particular restaurant. It is a bit over priced and comes in short in noodles when ordering pho. The service was sluggish compared to a popular place like Pho Bac out in Doraville. The only good thing about this place I think is it’s much closer but with a few compromises. We literally drove to Doraville to get spring rolls and an order of pho. So much of the difference in both price and serving proportion. It’s a good place and there’s always room for improvements. Perhaps I will update my review on my next visit when they take my comment in consideration.
Tried them for the first time today and I’ve deemed them my go-to Pho spot. My favorite part was the rich broth that was already really tasty, I only added a bit of Siraca for spice. But I loved everything about the Shrimp pho with flank with so many ingredients to add, only thing is I had like a half of a lime wedge where I would have like a whole one, but that’s my only issue, still 5 stars from me!
Came in for dinner and were were seated right away. There was plenty of seating. The pho is tasty and flavor very subtle. The vegetables tasted fresh. I had a pork bahn mi and it was very flavorful, lots of pork not too many vegetables.Service was very good, pleasant and efficient. The health score wad pretty low 82 ot of 100. I didnt check to see where they were slipping.Plenty of parking in the shopping center lot.
We were on our way to our fave spots on BuHi when we decided to check out a new spot closer to home. The Good: Nice, clean ambience w/TVs. Fast, friendly service. Pho broth was tasty. The Not-So-Good: My biggest gripe with Pho Dakao is the lack of aromatics (cilantro, jalapeño, bean sprouts, lime, etc.) in both the Banh Mi & Pho. Just these simple (& often found in even hole-in-the-wall spots) would have elevated these dishes tremendously. They were sorely missed. While the coconut boba slushee tasted delicious, the boba itself was inconsistent. Some were soft & chewy but the majority were hard & inedible. This spot definitely has the potential to earn our patronage with a couple of corrections but until then, we’ll keep trekking it to BuHi!
I just love when I find a nice hidden gem! This spot is hidden in a big plaza and I would have never even came over . Today I decided to give it a shot, and I must say- A1 service. Friendly staff immediately greets as you enter. They checked on my several times to make sure i was good. I have beef broth ( i can drink that for dinner alone) and the beef tenders. Simple delicious and the beef was perfect. Highly recommended.I will return!!
If youve had good pho you were not happy after you left here. The broth was mediocre, the noodles were clumped together, the basil looked old and sad, the sprouts were bendy and the tofu... idk. This location IS more convenient but I wasnt impressed and the bowl was more expensive so Ill keep making the drive to the House of Lu.
The only thing that sets this place apart compared to other pho restaurant is the friendliness of its waitresses. They make you feel welcome the minute you step inside the restaurant. The interior decor is a bit strange. They got tv’s all over the place like a sports bar except that it isn’t one. There was a guitar on the wall and paintings of Vietnamese women in their traditional ‘áo dài’. I’m not sure what the theme is for the restaurant. A bit confusing looking at everything inside the restaurant. The kitchen looks clean and spacious from the outside. Their restroom is clean and uncluttered. Now comes the review of their pho. We ordered the special combo and to our surprise the meat balls aren’t included and come as side order. For a $12 bowl of pho you would expect the meat ball to be included. This isn’t the worst part. Despite of other reviews raving how best their pho taste. We find it very much mediocre. The pho tastes bland and unsavory. The meats are cut a bit thick and very chewy. They also skim a bit on the veggies. You will get a lot of bean sprouts and a couple of mint leaves. The chopsticks provided are throwaway wooden ones. Overall, not a typical Viet pho restaurant. It’s catered more towards the non Vietnamese customers.
Great, great pho. Friendly staff. I came in on a busy afternoon and sat at the bar, got my food within 10 minutes and they were packed! Pho broth had great flavor and wasnt too oily. Will definitely be back anytime Im in Atlanta. Also if you are here for Blade Show, hi!
First time here. Very good Chicken soup.Pho? Broth and juicy chicken on point. Very little green stuff herbs, only Thai basil, very little herb flavor like star arnis, ginge etc..... to make you think healthy. A very good chicken and rice noodles soup. Egg rolls are good. I will return when I want a good chicken soup and Im in the area. Thats all😋
The interior is very nice. If the front door was more apparent as a front door, it would probably cause less confusion because it is very plain and didnt seem like it was a door you enter through. The food I ordered (EX Large pho special and egg rolls) was very average dipping towards below average. The pho soup needed more seasoning and the meat wasnt plentiful; I used salt because that was the I only thing readily available, but fish sauce on the table wouldve been a great idea. The egg rolls were definitely subpar. Usually restaurants that make shrimp egg rolls have the tails sticking out at the end to keep the shrimp in place while eatting it. This was not the case here and when I bit into the egg roll the tiny shrimp flopped out into my sauce I saw that the shrimp was only spread out to about 60% of the roll and the rest of was just the casing. They dont give you sweet fish sauce for dipping like most other restaurants but the Thai sweet chili sauce is the lesser offender of the egg roll experience. The thing that bothered me the most was that my bill was inaccurate and the server didnt offer to fix it after I pointed it out. His explanation for the mishap was that they used the prices from another location. I failed to see how that is my problem. So for sub par pho, egg rolls, and hot tea, I paid 20 bucks. Since the fact of the matter is that the server didnt notify me of the price difference at time of order, I took off the difference in menu price in his tips which at first was my standard 18% since telling me and knowing the menu was his job.Tl;dr dont come here unless youre desperate and cant make it to Buford hwy
I feel like family here. I grew up in a Vietnamese household and this is the closest I have felt to home. It has become a regular spot for me and after only the third time visiting, our waiter remembered our order and seats us in the same spot every time we come if it’s available. The service is always quick, friendly, and delicious. As long as I am in the area, Pho Dakao has my business.
Cute little place for a lunch pull up or quick dinner. Gets pretty busy for lunch on a weekday, so keep it cute. Been here a few times before this review. Their food is pretty darn good! TheBeef Pho was good; nice beefy flavor! BUT that dang on Banh Mi was absolutely fire !!! Loaded, Loaded, Loaded ! With the nice sweet crisply fresh veggies absolutely fire ! (Brb Ima go order another one real quick) lol oh ! Yes wait the Rolls and Thai tea too they were also tasty not the absolute best but tasty 😋
Pho Dakao is one of those hidden gems you stumble upon and you’re instantly hooked. The atmosphere is great and it immediately feels like you’re being drawn into a giant hug. Not only is the service great, but the food comes out incredibly fast and the large bowl of pho is enough for two people to share *wink* 😉 If you’re sick? Pho Dakao. Hungover? Pho Dakao. Hungry? Pho Dakao. Should you try the chili oil? Yes. Any more questions?
My husband and I have never tried Vietnamese food and our server, Brian, did a wonderful job of greeting us immediately and showing a welcoming hospitality when we had questions and asked for recommendations. He even went as far as giving us tips on the best way to prepare our food, use chopsticks and when there was food left over, he packaged it up as well. This young man went above and beyond. The food was so filling and between that and the service we will be back!
Best Pho Ive had in Atlanta. I ordered pho with well done flank steak at the suggestion of my server. Also asking the customer beside me because he closed his eyes and relaxed in his chair after his first sip of the broth. After my first sip, I did the same. Its that delicious.
If you want authentic flavorful Vietnamese food, go elsewhere or even better, Buford Hwy.The fried rice was tasteless and the Banh mi was soggy and tasteless as well.Coming from a Vietnamese background it was very disappointing and not worth how much they charged. The only good thing they had were the spring rolls which is hard to mess up anyhow.
I came here twice. First time was the normal pho experience. The second one started off good, but they ended up sending a medium instead of a small pho. The manager blamed us for trying to cheat them because we didnt say anything until after the bill came out. If you come here, YOU NEED to know the bowl sizes by heart.
This is the place for the best Pho. We come for carry out at least once every two weeks. It’s consistently perfect. We order the steak pho. For a hungry person the medium is plenty of great food. Very very hungry go for the large. Quick, friendly and reasonable pricing.
So, so delicious. I had pho with beef. The broth is so flavorful and rich. I think I could eat this every day. We couldnt have asked for better service. Tables were very well spaced and staff was wearing masks properly, not under the nose or on the chin. We felt completely comfortable as far as safety.
Great experience but I will order something different next time. I ordered the Pho Combo. Every meat tasted identical to each other. I wanted more flavor. My sister ordered thr Shrimp Pho and gave it rave reviews. I will definitely return because thr service was great and the restaurant was clean. Also, I enjoyed the spring rolls and egg rolls very much.
The Spring rolls were delicious. Properly wrapped and cooked. We ordered the Ban Mi sandwiches and they were a little underwhelming. Bread didnt hold together properly, not enough Jalapeños, and the meat was okay at Best. The restaurant is clean and staff is very attentive. It would have gotten five stars but for the price of the food I was expecting a little better quality.
Best pho in the Marietta/Smyrna area.Edit: Since the pandemic this restaurant has decided to close 30 minutes before their posted hours. Ive twice been turned away when arriving shortly after 8:30pm. While I dont think lingering after closing is appropriate, when dining alone I can finish pho in 15 minutes.Consistently closing before posted hours costs one star.
Fantastic. Everything we had was fresh and the portions were huge. We both had dinner as left overs. Meat was tender and flavorful. The veggie soup was overflowing with goodness. Normally I always think pho needs less broth and more stuff and I was def not disappointing. We already can’t wait to go back and try something else. What a find!
Amazing! Tried the stake pho and apparently the vegetable soup and they were both delicious! Even though they messed up one of our orders I was still very impressed. We tried to order one of their Phos but get it with veggies instead of meat but seemed to have misunderstood and ordered us the veggie noodle soup because it was in a different broth. It was so good that we didnt say anything and just ate it.
The first time I had the food, it was great. The second time the food had a weird smells (stinks) like its going bad and the fried rice taste like it was cooked in fish sauce. (Fishy taste and smell). The pork spring rolls were stale and rubbery. The best thing was the thai tea which was not sweet enough. Overall worst food ever. Never again.
We used to eat here often before the pandemic and still have to order to-go from here every so often to fulfill our cravings.Pho Dakao is special because their broth is so clean, light yet flavorful, and delicious compared to many other pho restaurants Ive been to. Service is always fast and they are very friendly folks. I dont even like shrimp yet I always order their pork and shrimp spring rolls- literally the only time I ever eat shrimp, just because its so tasty with their peanut sauce! My go-to is the brisket pho (P3) but any of their pho bowls as well as their rice dishes are so worth trying. Went out on a limb recently and tried their Thai Milk tea- that was fantastic too!
Great Pho and great Service! Every time I go I’m always greeted with a smile (even when they have their masks on)! The location has a great vibe and the food is outstanding. They also get a double plus because they serve veggie broth for vegetarians who won’t eat chicken or beef broth pho a win win for them! KUDOS!
COVID precautions are taken seriously, and make me feel safe (they take your temp at the door). I love a good pho but let me tell you I am IN LOVE with the banh mi, pork and chicken. Pair that with a Thai tea and you’re good to go! With decent prices and a friendly staff, you can’t go wrong with this restaurant.
Hands down best Banh Mi sandwiches in town! Order whatever you want, but at the very least get a Banh Mi to go.My usual order consists of a small Pho and a Banh Mi sandwich, with two more Banh Mi sandwiches to go. I really want to try everything else on the menu too, but I just keep going back to these classics because they are too good.Waiting time, even when it is busy during lunch hours, is usually very short. The staff is amazing, probably the friendliest in town!
Service was amazing !visiting from Colorado and I was in the mood for pho. my sister had eaten here before, so it was my first time along with my mom.the staff was very attentive and continously refilled our drinks and asked if we were good.food itself was very tasty; the broth for the pho had a very nice flavor!
Pho Dakao was recommended by my massage therapist and she was absolutely right when she said its Vietnamese Yumminess! I ordered vegetarian fried rice and veggie soup with rice noodles. If youre going to have soup, eat in the restaurant. The fried rice was fun with interesting flavors and ingredients Id never had in fried rice before. It was fun and delicious!
I absolutely love this place! The customer service is phenomenal, the food is so delicious, and I couldnt ask for a better pho restaurant. I go once if not twice a week. I want to thank the employees and cooks there, they love their job and it shows!!!! They act like a family and Ive never had any problems. HIGHLY recommend!
I have to say this is absolutely one of my favorite places to dine in. The food is always delicious and the service is always on point. I have never been disappointed dining here because even though my expectations are always high when I dine at Pho Dakao, they meet and exceed my expectations every time. Special thanks to Song!
I had a medium Pho tai. It was decent. I ate the whole thing. The broth was cloudy and had a lot of impurities. It also had a “mixed together taste.” I like to be able to taste the different flavors like Star anise, cinnamon, coriander etc in the broth. The service was very fast and friendly with good cleanliness.
We went here because my Wife was craving Pho. I love the restaurants vibe. I love how is decorated and it’s small sizes. The portions are a great size but...... The broth wasn’t that flavorful in the pho. However the lemongrass chicken and rice was very fresh and super flavorful. I would have given them a 5 if they had better broth.
I’ve coming to this location for the last 2 years and the service and the staff always amazing! Today I brought my son with me and I wanted to eat with chopsticks (I don’t know how to used them) Song made me a functional pair of chopsticks for my son and I now we have the magic hands lol. Overall the food it’s amazing and they make you feel welcome and like family ❤️
Service was quick and pleasant. Food was delicious. Egg rolls were not very hot, which made them easy to eat, but slightly disconcerting. We asked for water without lime and we watched them remove the lime from our glasses instead of giving us fresh water. It’s a small thing, but irritating when you watch lime pulp floating around your water, when you specifically ask for none. Glad the pho was good.
Visited on Sunday, Apr. 11, 21. Dont remember the name of the item I ordered but it was highlighted as the most popular item on the menu.A couple of hours later I began to get stomach pains. As the evening progressed they got so bad I couldnt sleep.During the nite I got up and vominted twice. The vomit was the food I ate at Pho Dakao. I wont be returning to this joint.
Wow, wow, WOW!!! 1st time there tonight an this place was AMAZING. Nick was our waiter and he was AWESOME! He took his time and went over highlights on the menu then pointed out his personal favorites and WHY they were his favorites! I really appreciate the time he took with my family. EVERYTHING we ordered was fantastic and beyond expectation. I ordered the veggie Pho with beef broth and it was OUTSTANDING! Be sure to add a scoop or two of chilli paste for a kick. This really took the dish to the next level. The veggies were all super fresh and the depth of flavor in the broth was super good. We also order the lemon grass chicken and the grilled chicken. The marinade on these dishes was gooooooood. We had the veggie fried rice, which was so good I ordered one to go! This is my new FAVORITE Vietnamese spot. Couldnt ask for better. Great fresh, fast food and super customer service. So happy I found this little hidden gem❤
I’ve been ordering from here for almost two years now and I pretty much ordered the same thing every time. I order the pho combo with no tendon or tripe; previously they would add additional meat in place of the tendon and tripe, and I would always ask just in case. However, third time I’ve gone/ordered here recently (past 2-3months) and each time I have been shorted. I’m paying for a full meal, not three slices of brisket and two quarter sized pieces of rare steak. Sadly, I will not be returning again. Beyond disappointed.
I am from Dallas TX. We have a lot of Pho restaurants there. I tried this one. I had the Shrimp Pho and the Spring Rolls. The Pho was some of the best I have had. Loaded with nice size shrimp. Not greasy at all!! Spring Rolls were very good as well. Planning on going back before I go home on Saturday.
Ordered via DoorDash. Soup and Thai tea was good but the chicken fried rice was not. It was very bland, lacked seasoning and tasted watery. They added bell peppers to it for some reason which I’ve never seen any other Vietnamese or Thai restaurant do. Had I known I would’ve asked for it without but don’t feel that would’ve helped the taste much. It was definitely a large portion but not satisfying and it feels like I wasted my money.
Good low-key Vietnamese eatery. Ordered the steak pho, lemongrass chicken, Viet milk iced coffee, and Thai tea.Lemongrass chicken was good. It was tender and well seasoned, and not too oily. I would have liked some cilantro or scallions to top the entree, but it was good without. The pho is very comparable to other good pho places.I really enjoyed the TVs lined along one of the walls. They run YouTube channels centered on Asian cooking and street eats. Really cool.
When I first discovered this place, I think I revisited three times in the same week. It’s delicious and has a fair price point. I love the shrimp pho. Try it out. It’s very busy and you typically cannot find a seat, so I recommend calling in a pick up order, but it still tastes great at home if you make sure you have all the condiments you typically use.
Well, you win some and you lose some. Sadly, the meal was a fail. The pho was mediocre. The bahn mi was dissatisfying, the taste was way off, meat was over marinated and it felt like mush. Sadly, we hoped for a better experience based off the reviews, but we ended up throwing the sandwiches out. Disappointed.
Had my first trip here on Halloween, just as it turned super cold. I tried the brisket pho and the spicy pork banh mi. Both were very tasty and came out to the table within minutes of ordering. The servers were friendly and answered questions/offered suggestions readily. It’s in a convenient location (for me), so I will definitely be back!
If you like traditional Pho, this place has it! Broth is normally on point, with good portions of meat. The traditional sandwiches are served warm and toasty. Service is fairly quick with the food temperatures just right. Dishes are well portioned, wont leave hungry.
My girlfriend and I tried this place a few months ago looking for our new pho spot since we moved and we haven’t gone anywhere else since! After multiple dates the quality of the food has remained the same and the service is attentive and polite. The spring rolls with the peanut sauce are my favorite appetizer along with the chicken pho.Awesome broth.Clean atmosphere. Multiple televisions for sports.
Not worth the money AT ALL. Ordered a steak pho that had bland broth and overcooked noodles. When I asked to take it back, I was still charged 20% because they “can’t afford to throw food away”...then why are y’all open? I ended up having to pay an extra $2.25 for a bowl I took one bite of. I don’t recommend this restaurant for anyone who would like their food flavored. LOL honestly the most bizarre restaurant experience I’ve ever had and I don’t plan to return.
Love this place!!! The staff was very friendly and I had good conversations with my server and even the owner. I had the beef combination pho and the iced Vietnamese coffee. The meat had great quality and the broth was just right, not too salty. I would definitely come back here whenever I visit Atlanta.
We’ve been waiting for them to open. And oh, was it worth the wait!!! Good atmosphere. Clean and uncrowded. The young lady who served us was quick, attentive, and extremely thoughtful. After a beyond our expectations dinner of egg rolls, combo pho for me, and meatball pho for my husband, she wanted to make sure that everything was to my liking. Truthfully, the small bowl was too large for me. But, I don’t eat that much and had thoroughly enjoyed it! I told her it was nothing that they did wrong as I did love dinner. Can’t wait to bring some friends and family! Thank you!!!
Tonight was my first time sitting in the restaurant. I walked in immediately greeted with a warm welcom. My server was very patient and helpful with suggestions to order. He was honest that it was his first day but he communicated with staff and myself to make sure my order was accurate. I ordered several things. One order with fried rice. He immediately communicated to me that they were out of fried rice would I like steamed rice. Everything I had was awesome and was fresh with aromatic herbs. The Green Tea smoothie was great. Definitely will be returning and passing the word to friends. Thank you and keep up the great work. Please don’t change!!!
Good Pho. Not the best I’ve had, but I would def return. Food came out quick and tasty. The lime and basil was a bit weak tasting, but the broth was well done. Something was just missing to make it a 5. Plus the service was lacking. You knew you were at a quick grub stop.
The pho soup here is more on the sweet side. And the amount of meat you get is very decent. One thing I really like about this place is the chili oil. It’s so authentic and goes so well with both the sweet and savory flavors that I just can’t stop adding it to my soup!
Pho Dai Loi 2 on buford highway is the absolute standard for pho in atlanta. This place isnt as good, but due to the convenience of its location, I tend to hit it more often. Good sized portions, I like the banmhi as well. One annoyance is that they have never once had the avacado smoothie that is listed on the menu. Just take the damn thing off if you arent actually going to carry it, I am tired of hopefully asking everytime only to hear no, but would you like to try the mango?
Dont go. Wish I could do no stars. There were three of us. 2 meals came out. The noodles were old and clumpy and chicken not fully cooked. The third meal did not come out till 15 minutes later. The chicken in that dish was under cooked as well. The restaurant has the feel of fast food because the lights are too bright. The server was nice and apologized for the kitchen but not till 10 minutes had gone by after other two had gotten meals. Hopefully there is another Vietnamese restaurant in the area because this one is not worth it. Only a half hearted attempt was made to correct the situation by the kitchen.
I grew up in Atlanta but I moved to Nashville. One of the things I miss most is having a Pho restaurant near me.One of my best friends and I stop in to this place not knowing they weren’t officially open yet. They were having having a trial run for family only. We walked in the atmosphere was amazing. They have an open kitchen season see them making your pho. They were so friendly and let us stay. Honestly one of the best experiences I have ever had. The food was soooo good! If that was just a trail run, I can’t wait to go back for when they are officially open!Thank you for being so kind to our obvious selves. ♥️
All I can say is... WOW! sat immediately on a Sat night. Staff was a tad slow to greet, but our food was brought out in 3 minutes! Tasted amazing. The iced coffee is... out-of-this-world-good! Staff was also on top of everything. Worked well together, and was just an excellent experience over all. Will certainly come back when on this side of town.
Nice ambiance for a casual date. Great customer service. I’d say pricing is fair.Appetizer: The spring rolls are fresh made, but it’s mostly rice noodles and basil, with little meat (note: spring rolls come with pork and shrimp, but I asked for no shrimp due to an allergy, and it looks as if they did not compensate for the lack of shrimp).Meal: I got the combo pho (minus the tripe). My husband got the flank pho. Lots of meat, well seasoned dish. I would recommend adding a bit of sriracha to really kick up the flavor and spice. The broth was excellent. Definitely enough to take home for a second meal if you get the medium bowl.Allergens and Dietary needs: they have an assortment of options for vegans and gluten-free dishes. You can also make the dishes Leto by asking for no noodles or rice.
Place is very nice. Service was very speedy. When we entered we were greeted right away. Menu is very easy to read and placement of tables are placed at a position were you dont feel so close and confined. I would have gave this place 5 stars but the steak was alittle dry other than that I would definitley come again and recommend this place. So I had to change my rating to 5 stars. Dipping sauce for spring rolls is amazing.
Came here for dinner...poor service and the food was average... didn’t have much flavor. I got the pho with well done flank - pretty fatty bits and the noodles felt like they had been sitting for a while. The spring rolls had no flavor and had like a sliver of shrimp. The banh mi was the worst. Looked good, but also had no flavor.. way too much mayo and the bread - ugghhhh tasted like leftovers. One guy taking my order couldn’t even remember 3 things that I ordered and had to come back to ask. It wasn’t like the place was busy because the cooks from the back were sitting and chatting amongst each other. Must’ve been why I had to wait 10 minutes for someone to bring a check. No one even asked how our meal was. Will definitely be making the trip to Buford Hwy for much better pho.
5 star pho for this side of town since there is little competition but it would only be 4 on Buford highway. They also have a good selection of other dishes, great location, and fast and very friendly service even for our large group. Good to see they have banh mi so I will be back for lunch, but no one tried it. Overall excellent.
This place is pretty good most of the time but I was extremely disappointed in how the quality of the sandwiches has been going down (since that is the only thing i ever get from there besides spring rolls). My chicken banh mi was not that good. The chicken was so dry that I had to chew so hard just to be able to swallow it. They put little on the inside. It was as if no effort was put into it.
Honestly, I wont say it is the best pho in Cobb county, nor I would say it is good. I ate there twice, the Pho noodle soup was mediocre. If you dont have big appetite, it would be good for you. The taste of it just ok. I wont recommend the grill pork chop, nor the rice dishes. The rice they serve just too soft. If you really want some authentic, tasty Pho, go back to Buford highway.
I come here as often as i can! When you can eat a SUPERB PHO BOWL, vibe with the music, and watch football or basketball! Its a win win! The staff is always friendly! And the food is a ALWAYS AMAZING no matter what you order! And you always see the owner n he seems pleasant! Today I watched him prepare food for his staff! Loved it!
Not sure what the deal is with these Vietnamese restaurants owned by the same people. Pho King is great, VN pho is getting back to being decent, but this place is not good. They got to fix these inconsistencies. Broth is bland, and at the end of the day, if you dont have great broth, you cant have good Pho.
I decided to give it a shot for lunch one day and was sat at the bar area. I had a bowl of Pho with beef and meatballs. It was alright. Nothing to write home about...The prices are a bit high as well. The tvs were directly above the bar, so almost impossible to watch...not that thats a big deal if you were at a table or with family and friends. Id probably give it another try, but I wouldnt bring my family here. For a Vietnamese restaurant, I didnt really hear anyone speaking Vietnamese, worker wise...
I usually eat vietnamese food because its very easy to order gluten free. Well, I ordered the veggie soup with rice noodles and the waiter said the cook refused to make it. I asked him what I could order that was gluten free. He said, We dont have any gluten free foods. We had to call a management over to get my order straight and not be poisoned.
The server was incredible! I ordered a bowl of pho with steak, brisket, tripe, and tendon - all of the works. Honestly, this is the most disappointing pho Ive had in the Atlanta area. It was very bland and not flavorful. Maybe I was unlucky and got a bad batch, but I will not be ordering the pho again.
This place was a hit or miss for me. They claim to be like dua in downtown broad st, but it wasnt as consistent as I thought. Food was ok lack alil attention to detail bc noodle for vermicelli were not cook and hard. I know its suppose to be cold noodle but didnt taste like other places Ive been to. The phos was good not bad. The service was great and the prices were alil more then downtown.
I like the pho, vermicelli, and iced coffee.Ive been really disappointed with the quality of the bahn mis. They have very good bread, and I like the pate and butter spreads. The last one I ordered was full of large chunks of fat and tendon. Ive had head cheese on bahn mi before, this was more like connective tissue that hadnt been cooked properly. The vegetables themselves were extremely bitter, and I couldnt really figure out why. The sandwich only had jalapeno, cucumber, and cilantro.
The beef rolls were good, as was the tea. The pho was lackluster-- overly salty, flavorless meat, and noodles that stuck together like cement. The one star is because I didnt finish my entire bowl. The waitress then told me, with no hint of playfulness, that she didnt respect people who didnt finish their food because people were starving in her country. So not only was I made to feel embarrassed, I was shamed and guilted too. I wasnt going to go back because of the food, but now Ill actively tell people not to go because of the service.
This was my first time here. Food was okay but was a little bland for my tastes. Maybe its supposed to be because Im new to Pho but it was just meh. I tried to take some of it home with me and forgot my leftovers on the table. I stepped out for one minute, got to the curb, and went immediately back in for it and they said they had already thrown my to go container away. I dont think Ill be back.
Fast service. However, once you become a regular customer and/or after 4pm they really start to lag behind.Missing items in the takeout bag, after I spoke about this issue. I was told they didnt have it today. No discount was offered. Seemed not to care! Also they really DONT offer the correct change back. This is the case on many visits. Maybe the thought is, if they keep a dollar or two you will be embarrass to say something. If this is the case, what a scam with a nice smile and fast service!Save your time!
No stars! Came twice with second chance. Got my orders wrong twice. Food was overpriced and mediocre. I ordered a rice dish with pork. Rice was regular, not the broken kind which is made for “com tam!” The dish with pork barely had any meat, mostly bones. I would not come back ever!
I usually go to Saigon cafe near by docs, Starbucks, ups, Kuroshio sushi bar. But I wanted to try new place today. It wasn’t good choice! I asked it’s extra charge for extra vegetables he said no, but end up charged for extra veg. And I ordered XL pho, bowl was huge but noodles wasn’t enough for price 12$$. Especially I’m Asian so I cook noodles a lot myself but the noodles wasn’t fresh either!I recommend Saigon cafe or hoang long oriental much better flavor and more amount of broth&&noodles and NO CHARGE FOR EXTRA VEGETABLES 😊😊 Saigon cafe.I wouldn’t go back!
I had Kha as my waiter and he was excellent!!!! The service was fast and absolutely delicious!!!!! Whenever I needed something, he was right there!!! There was no waiting, the setting was nice and intimate (hint hint for the guys looking to plan a date night 😘) and the prices are unbeatable!!!!

2022-06-26Great authentic Vietnamese food! Really fair prices for big portions and great tasting food. I sat out on the patio with my coworkers. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The food came out crazy fast after ordering. I got the the banh mi tofu. It was really good! The Vietnamese milk coffee was also incredibly tasty. I spent $12 for both which is amazing these days. I enjoyed my visit and will definitely be returning to try everything on the menu!

2022-06-02Love this place! Been coming here for years and the food is always fresh and comes to the table super quick. I have yet to be disappointed by the quality and taste of food. The ONLY reason I’m giving 4 stars and not 5 is due to the extreme price increase since the pandemic. My usual order went from $12 to $17 which seems a bit steep. My hubby and I loved coming here for an inexpensive quick bite.

2022-01-20Food was tasty as always. Interesting during Covid that they have lids for there foam cups but they bring them out with no lids...Service is always pretty good. This is one of our favorite places to just pop up to eat.I do wish that their door had a breezeway....during the cold days sitting anywhere near the door can be brutal when other patrons are coming in and out.Hugs always gets their Pho I always get one of the meat and rice dishes...my fav is the beef tenderloin.

2022-06-01Came for lunch and dinner today. Good food, friendly service at decent prices. You can go wrong with their pho. For dinner i had the grill beef with fried rice. My friend had a pork bahn mi and a vermicelli bowl. Everything was good.

2022-03-17I ordered their papaya salad hopeing it was good was very displeased. it was not a very traditional flavor it was mildley sweet and tangy but lacked any kind of heat. everyone else enjoyed their food i was just the unlucky one. i wanted to return it as i was not happy with it and they said it was policy not to accept returns. they gave me 30% off the platter but still had to pay just to throw it away.

2021-09-17Best vietnamese restaurant Ive ever tried. Their peanut sauce is spectacular. The beef is perfectly cooked and tender. The fried rice is fresh and incredible. The pho is so good and so flavorful. We were seated in 10 seconds and all the service was equally prompt. Cannot recommend highly enough.

2021-11-06Decent pho and fast service. The pho broth was delicious but seem a bit pricey for a large bowl. They also other dishes such as the broken rice and that was good. For the area it’s a good choice for Vietnamese.
