I’m a true believer in all Piedmont Hospitals, but today was horrible at the ER. I went in with a foot injury and extreme pain! The doctor came in and introduce himself and touch my foot and walked out. I did not receive an explanation or why I was having foot pain. I was given medicine and told to follow with another provider. The doctor never returned to my room to tell me what he saw in the X-ray or anything! Along with that the nurse that was working my room was to busy flirting with me oppose your helping me with my issue. As a nurse you should be more professional. All I want was to be out of pain and someone to help me with resolving my foot issue. At the end I got none of the above!!!
I had surgery yesterday, in the surgical department and all i could say was i was in the hands of real life angels. They took so much good care of me.. the black coack eye lady in registration wasnt that pleasant and nice, but i didnt have to deal with her long.. Back to the nurses and doctors.. i was so afraid to have this done, they eased my mind. They comforted me. If i remember one nurse kinda held my hand.. They were tentive to my needs, and when i left i was in no pain what so ever .. Im pleased and very grateful for them.... Thank you.. That was a physical and mental draining procedure, but they made it a breeze 💓, i wish there were a way you give hospitals recognition from the city or state.. Im looking into it...
Absolutely incredible experiences...... Hospital staff across the board was amazing. The nurses treated me with such loving care, it took me by surprise! My 3 year journey through colorectal cancer and its many treatments was made joyful by the many ! Thank you to all. 🌹
I give the nursing and Xray staff 5 stars.I give processes and procedures a 1-star.I arrived at this hospital at 5:45pm with severe abdominal pain. Within 45 mins, I had my weight and blood pressure measured, an IV line put in, and an EKG completed. Great, its 6:15pm.Two hours and 45 mins later, Im still waiting in the patient waiting area to be seen. Two separate triage staff members were asked to explain the delay since I observed patients who had come in after me, being seen and released. The staff could not explain the delay. Three hours later, 9:15 pm, Im still in the waiting room to be seen.At approximately 10:45 pm, Im called to follow a staff member to room 10. I saw Dr McFarland for 5 minutes. She ordered a CAT scan. The CAT scan was done at 11pm. Its now 1:08 am.. Im in a lot of pain. No pain meds have been ordered, and the CAT scan report, which I was told would take 45 mins is still not available. So Ive been in this facility for 7 1/2 hours and no diagnosis.I understand staffing shortages. However, this hospital needs a deep review of their administrative processes and procedures within the Triage and ER areas. In my 25 years of working as a hospital administrator, Ive never observed such disorganization and lack of timely patient care. Both Piedmont and Summit Urgent care facilities, which are 7 days a week, 24-hour care providers, were both closed today. This is an example of poor management planning that undermines the true mission of an ER.Well its 2:15 am. Im in intense pain and have been in this hospital since 5:45 pm. Ive received no meds for pain. What kind of hospital is this that they knowingly allow a patient to linger in pain? I still dont have the CAT scan report. The CAT scan was done over 2 hours ago.
My fiancé wasn’t feeling well for a few days and we didn’t get great answers from the clinic we went to so we came to the ER here and they moved pretty quickly and efficiently. They did there job and unfortunately he had to be admitted but without coming here we wouldn’t have known how bad his situation was. After days of running around we were treated so great by his neurologist Dr. Fernandez. Most of the nurses were really nice but the receptionist on the 4th floor of what I believe is the Med Surge Unit was so rude, I wish I got her name. Either way very grateful for them helping to get him back on his feet. If not for the bad mishaps with certain people I would have rated 5 stars.
I cant say enough about the superior quality care of the nursing staff. They are awesome, but the hospitals coordination and communication with ambulatory services is horrible! My 92 year old was released by the doctor and scheduled for a 2 p.m. pick up to return her to Assisted Living. We chose the ambulance due to her fragile condition and high chance of falling. At 2:30 I received a call that transport would be there in an hour to an hour and a half. At 4:53 I got a call asking where I was and when could I pick her up. I was a 1:45 travel time from the hospital I was then told there was a mistake with the travel request, but it will be straightened out. At 6:27, my 92 year old mother call me and ask why she had not been picked up yet. I drove to the hospital and risked her falling getting in and out of the wheel chair and my car. She was sitting in a chair for 5 HOURS WAITING FOR PICKUP that was scheduled by the hospital. UNACCEPTABLE!!!
They received 2 stars because they were faster than most ERs Ive visited. I appreciated the urgency. But what I didnt like was the fact the my doctor was a guesser. She had no proof that I had covid after I had tested negative 2 days prior to my visit. She still made the assumption that it was covid. I had 2 different covid test rapid and pcr and both came back negative yet I was sick 3 days prior and her excuse was sometimes they dont come up as positive right away. Yet they couldnt test me for covid. Then when she came in to my room she sat on my bed with me as if she was a friend or loved one. I have 2 other people in my home who is not sick it is not covid or the flu. Whatever it is I want get the answers at piedmont Fayetteville
Better hope you have massively deep pockets when you walk into this place, otherwise they will intentionally make your experience as painful as possible. From bending/twisting/levering/needles to absolutely refusing necessary treatments in the hopes that you have a stroke or heart attack in 6 months so they can charge as much as possible. Screw Piedmont and GA in general where Healthcare is a LUXURY afforded only to the wealthy and those whom volunteer to enslave themselves to the wealthy.
The wait times are so long. The service is always exceptional but waiting for 3-4 hours is exhausting. I’m frustrated also in pain and the waiting room is practically empty even when I arrived at 2am. Maybe 10 people upon my arrival, now it’s 5 am and I still haven’t made it back. Although I understand, it just sucks. I still love this hospital and highly recommend.
The CNO (Chief Nursing Officer) was very rude during new employee orientation this week. There is already a nursing shortage across the country, and the CNO told all the travel nurses that her job was to eliminate travel nurses from her hospital. She told us that she would let us go just as easily as the hospital hired us, but later spoke of how Piedmont staff works like a family… Again, this was during New Employee Orientation. Some of us drove over an hour, and even flew from out of the state to come to this new employee orientation. I am disgusted at how the CNO presented herself to the new employees. If this is how administration treats their new staff… I can see why employees feel under appreciated and do not want to stay.
Waited in the emergency room for over 4 hours on 5/30/22. Night shift staff was very professional (Rambo) however when shifts switched. The front office staff was very dismissive and condescending to patient concerns about the extensive wait. They were more concerned with talking about the “ R&B festival that they attended the day before and how many drinks they had. They also spent time planning days to take off “October 8th and 9th “ to go to Octoberfest. These conversations took place in the midst of a patient who was in the middle of a severe asthma attack.I understand that they can only do so much to control the wait time of patients, but the way people in the waiting room were treated was highly unprofessional. This is not how people should be treated.
First let me say I was very hesitate about going to this hospital, but my life was at a low to where my lung doctor told me to get to the hospital NOW!!I got there and they got me asap and from the emergency room to me being admitted into the hospital on 04/14/2022. I was placed on the second floor and from the time I was in there care the following staffs made me sure i was in getting the best care. Thank you to Anne, Shamika, and Amy, Angela, Jamaal, Adeline, Ellisa, Sully, Ty and Tan, Gertry. This staff on the second floor is Awesome and Caring towards the patients. I knew I was in good hands when my middle daughter goes out her way to gift staffers with a card and cupcakes to thank them for caring for her mom. She really took to Amy a new nurse she really liked when she met on the first day of Amy returning back to Piedmont Fayette. I was release on yesterday 4/19/2022 and I miss that staff already. Thank you for caring for me and making sure that I was well before I left. Thank you to everyone and Piedmont hooray!!! for a job well done!!!! J.Sheffield
I was talking with my nurse about unprofessional services in general. Even after declining to speak with manager, one came over anyway. I was told I wasnt experiencing what I was says, I was rude to the nurse for speaking to her about it. And Belligerate behavior would be handled. This is where I stopped her, because I apologized to the nurse BEFORE she walked away that it wasnt her personally so she lied and said I treated her bad. I never rose my voice, yes and no maam but yet Im threatened while hooked to a chemotherapy drip. Denise needs customer service and to know this is not the time to weaponize her position.
Well i know everyone has there goid and bad. But my experience from hospital. It sucks, 4 years ago i woke not feeling good so i waited 3 days wasnt getting better so i went to hospital. Every thing i was telling drs/ nurses was going on with me they would tell me its all in my head. Okkkkkkkkk now i have some many illnesses i couldnt keep with it all if i dont write it down . G.I track/Auto immune/ disease that arent cureable/ fibromyla/ etc the dr dont look at people as patients they look as people that as its a bussiness. They carry little tablets and read off of them instead getting down to what is really going on.. Jan 2022 my mother went to the hospital due to she couldnt breath. Well same day they send her back hom and she also had lots of illness. While they send her home and NO ONE told the family my mom had covild19 my father is in same household as my mom and he to is very sick. My mom was home 2 days and had to be rushed back to hospital where she died within 24 hrs cause hospital fell to inform us she had covild19. Thats really shitie of a hospital now my dad myself and others of the family has covild19 the drs need to be more drs and listen and take up time with patient and nurses need to stop sitting at nurse station having fun.. So to me if the illness was addressed to family we wouldnt be dealing with covild19 ourself. CEO needs to look into hospital records better
Worst hospital ever. Since they changed checking in for labs to the actual lab, nothing but a nightmare.. I come every three months for blood work and the last 3 times it’s been a nightmare. You give your name, they say they are checking you in, you sit for a hour waiting for your arm band while not only do they check in other people that came after you, they pick and choose who gets to go in before you, they all stand around the check in desk laughing and cutting up while you wait a hour and half to get blood work done.. I’ve seen-friends of the workers come in 30 minutes after me and they take them immediately.. I will find somewhere else to spend my money..
I thought the staff was nice until fear was instilled in me that I had herpes simply because I had a canker sore and asked him why he thought it was herpes he said “ it’s something we can just look at and tell” . even though I told them I previously tested negative just to be tested AGAIN for HSV1 and 2 and what do you know negative again. Misdiagnosing people because “ they can just tell “ , 100% Would not recommend!!!!
The best experience to delivering our first baby here at Piedmont Fayetteville and (SCWH) is our OB. First, our OB is really professional and we would recommend them anytime to anyone. Second, Im surprised no one spoke about piedmont fayett because they did outstanding job as our care provider. From the doctor to the nurse and staff every one here is nice and professional. They made us feel so welcome staying here and providing us with everything we need. Some of the staff here even went far and beyond where they do not have too. Thank God for watching over us and our first child. I was anxious and nervous but we are happy our baby is here and healthy. After what going on right now a friendly reminder to everyone: to be kind toward others and you will feel so much more positive. Thank you again Piedmont Fayetteville!
This is one of the worst hospital ever. I went there with chest pains, terrible headache and shortness of breath. I arrived at 12:00( midnight) and never was seen by a doctor, I left at 3:30am after being told I had 4 people in front of me and the longest person have been waiting nearly 6 hours. I told the receptionist, I’m confused, I’m in the ER, correct? She was so nonchalant Terrible customer service, no empathy no remorse. Worst experience ever!!!!
Seven years as a patient of the Outpatient Infusion Center, six visits to the Emergency Department, five surgeries and another scheduled in a few weeks, two months a patient at the Wound Care Center, dozens of visits to Piedmont Physicians, and so many X-rays, CT Scans, and MRIs I no longer need a flashlight to read in bed at night. (Just kidding about that last one.) This is to say I have a lot of experience at Piedmont-Fayette and perhaps a better basis for a review than folks who base their review on a single event.Five stars is as high as Google allows, but Id give the people at Piedmont-Fayette ten stars if that were allowed. They have – from the switchboard operators to the technicians in so many fields to the nurses, medical assistants, and doctors – always been extremely personable and professional. They know their stuff, and they exhibit the best practices of the medical profession. I have trusted Piedmont-Fayette for my healthcare in so many disciplines and for almost 20 years (as long as Ive lived here), and look forward to many more.
I want to really praise and appreciate these special people that has made our stay at hospital the very best !! They have went above and beyond to help our mom feel more comfortable and at ease by showing concern , being compassionate and showing how much they care about doing their job and helping patients!! You are all truly a shining light here at this hospital and we want to Thank You so much !!Darius with Transport…. Nottasha Nurse 5th Floor …Ty Nurse 5th floor . Lu Tech 5th floor keeps us laughing !! Thank you all so much !!Darius you really brightened our day in ER with mom being in so much pain after bringing her back from her scan . You seen her pain and stayed with us to help lighten the mood and made us laugh !! You are an amazing young man !! Thank you so much !!
People in Medical Records are rude and unhelpful! Urgent request made from another physician for a patients medical records. Request was faxed to wrong number (which they gave me) and instead of being proactive in sending the request once I called to reduce the time to get the records and refaxing, I was given the run around and told that I had to resend and wait an hour. The patient was in our office waiting. She also had made the request on her discharge for the records to be sent to her PCP. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE PRACTICES!!!!!
The worst care I’ve ever received in my life. I felt like no one cared about me, there was so sympathy and no compassion for people going through things. This is the 3rd prescription they’ve given me after them prescribing the wrong thing twice and they just told me oh it happens. There’s nothing we can do. So rude, so unprofessional, and so extremely disrespectful.
My name is Florence Nkechi Okpala. Talking about piedmont hospital, Fayetteville and Newnan branch, oops! Jesus Christ! Where do I start from? An excellent service, starting from my doctor, Dr. Dominique Scalamogna. Hes the best to me. He was very courageous and determined with his job. He was the reason I decided to hv my knee replacement done which I was supposed get done since 2009. He tlkd the fearness in me outta the way. And the surgery was done perfectly. Ive started walking little by little now. And its not even up2 asmonth I had the surgery. The nurses on duty for the 3 days I spent in the hospital(Newnan)branch were Awesome. Especially the one called Chichi or so. Im so determined 2 hv my second knee done now since the right knee was done perfectly.God bless u Doctor Scalamogna, ur team nurses both in Newnan and Fayetteville(Heather the appointments scheduler), she was awesome too, and the entire team, Piedmont Hospital. If I can gv out a billion stars 🌟 🤩 ✨ 😍 💖, I will do so. I luv piedmont hospital till death. God bless the entire team of piedmont hospital! Yall remain blessed 🙌 in the Lord! Luv yall loads!loads!loads!💋🖐
A little over a week ago, my girlfriend and I went to the Piedmont Hospital of Fayetteville. We were impressed by the customer service from the staff and beyond satisfied by their ability to assess the medical problem and promptly provide a prescription after determining what the issue was. After picking up the prescription and starting the treatment, my girlfriend received a call from the hospital explaining that the antibiotics they initially prescribed were ineffective and that she needed a new prescription. After the antibiotics were started, my girlfriend returned to the hospital to learn that she was subject to a new prescription for different antibiotics that she would have to pay for.We dont believe were entitled to anything for free. But when the hospital makes an error because the staff pride themselves in getting people in and out, it would be nice to see health professionals here at this hospital not only be thorough in their duties, but also take accountability for not prescribing accurate antibiotics because staff moved too fast and failed to pay close attention to detail! Thanks in advance for being receptive to the feedback I provided.
03.19.22...My husband is in this hospital.. The Dr that I talk to was very polite and had good bedside manner his name was Dr.Parks.( 5 Stars for the doctor). As for the nurses on the 4th floor are rude and incompetent. The nurses lastnight gave my husband a medication that he was allergic to without looking at his chart and looking at the allergies list total incompetents. The nurse this afternoon did not clamp his urnine bag so urine went everywhere. I am just thankful it wasnt his drain tube bag!!I know nursing can be stressful as I am in healthcare as well.. But that does not give you the right to be rude to the patients family. If you hate your job then leave.. This hospital is just like Piedmont Newnan worthless!! I would of gave zero stars but they didnt have that option
If I could give zero stars that would be more appropriate. I sat in the ED for almost 7 hours coughing and wheezing. Not one person listened to my lungs. A nurse calls me back to triage at almost 7 hours to tell me I need labs drawn but can’t tell me why I needed them. And after I tell her that I e bern coughing and wheezing and probably just needed a neb treatment she responds by saying she can go get a stethoscope and listen to my lungs if I want. When did nurses that work in the ER stop carrying stethoscopes. Then she said I would need a room and that there were 5 more people ahead of me waiting fir rooms. I left. My doctors office opens in 90 minutes. The absolute worse kind of nursing.
My mother contracted C diff AND Covid 19 at this establishment after being admitted for completely unrelated reasons. She then had her shoulder dislocated by hospital staff during a procedure. Not once did the hospital contact myself or other family members with this information. After allowing covid to spread throughout their facility, the hospital then attempted to discharge my disabled mother who was still positive for covid. If you cherish yourself or loved ones do not bring them here for care.
All medical staff were AMAZING! They gave the best care to my mother and step dad. From the ER to the 4th floor they were compassionate, knowledgeable, professional, and went above and beyond. They kept our family informed and updated since we could not visit them. We have been so blessed to have the level of care they provided!
I had to have a hysterectomy this morning… I’m telling you that the nurses that helped take care if me were excellent. Knew what they were doing and had a great bedside manner. They made me feel so comfortable and was right there when I woke up!Excellent job ladies!I wish I could remember their names. I’m so bad with names.Doctor Cook was amazing as always. If you ever need to be in the hospital I hope and pray that you get these ladies! Thanks Piedmont Fayetteville
I realize that many of the reviews on here are bad, and I can attest for the absurdly long ER wait. It was literally a crisis in the ER. Everyone and their mama was sick and they only had limited beds. But bayyyybeee once they got my mom back there and admitted her after waiting 8 1/2 hours (!!!!), the doctors and the nurses took such amazing care of her. She was in critical condition for a while but they were able to stabilize her so her body could begin to work with their treatment protocol. It took a little work on my part to find a consistent line of communication but anytime I called and needed an update on her condition, they would take the time to explain or even call me. The hospitals are understaffed and overwhelmed with sick people. Many of them are doing the absolute best they can and all while putting their own health at risk. These people have families and loved ones who are in constant worry for their safety. But, they continue to come to work because they love their line of work and they want to help people. I’m grateful my mom was here and I’m grateful to the entire care team.
Due to many health conditions, I have been all over this hospital over the past fifteen years. I have delivered two children here, had two sleep studies, an echocardiogram, ER for threatened miscarriage, thyroid sonogram, CPR training, and physical therapy. The staff has always been kind, courteous, and has given me great care. No hospital is perfect but I have had good experiences through difficult times here. I would recommend piedmont Fayette Community Hospital.
I’d like to thank the labor and delivery wing at this hospital. You are much appreciated and the work you do is amazing. Special thank you to the lovely ladies in the NICU. You were gentle and took such great care of my daughter, and were compassionate towards my husband and I during this difficult time. God bless you all.
I’m having the worst experience at Piedmont right now. I can understand the fact that they are busy but the way patients are getting treated right now is pure craziness!! Now I have to reconsider coming back to one of my favorite hospital because when you’re sick the last thing you want to deal with is people who seem to not care!! Ugh I’m so ready to leave!
If I could rate this hospital a zero I would DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL IF YOU ARE PREGNANT OR EVEN HAVE A DR FROM SOUTHERN CRESCENT I went in because my water broke and told them over and over again that I smelled something and green mucus like stuff was coming from me I was getting an infection that comes from when your water breaks early and guess what they sent me home knowing this infection could get in my blood stream and possibly kill me , no instead I ended right back here and they forced my labor and my daughter died had they done their jobs correctly my daughter would still be living they did not do preventative care nor did they care about my life or my child’s.. RUN AS FAR AS YOU CAN FROM PIEDMONT FAYETTE
This hospital took good care of me during my stay due to a stroke in March 2021. From the AM-PM shift. The staff was patient with me.What topped it off in September 2021 the medical receptionist name Ms. Allison Brown was the most helpful and friendly personnel that hospital can ask for. Thank you.
Where do I begin, this is a horrible hospital! The wait time is ridiculous especially when you have a half empty waiting room and in the back as well. I saw several seniors that looked as if they were really suffering wait damn near 3 hrs just to be taken in the back. When I was taken in the back after waiting from 11 am to 3pm the nurse and doctor (Dr. Rudy) was extremely rude and dismissive. Both of them made it seem as if what I was there for was not important, after-all, I thought a hospital was for help when you can’t get to a doctor right away. I was extremely weak in the legs and arms yet the staff will see me struggling and refuse to help. All they did was watch as I struggle sometimes they gave me like a rush vibe. I asked the nurse to help me sit up she acted as if I had something on my face. Then the nurse made several sarcastic remarks that made me feel bad about my visit. The doctor tried to blame me for having another ct scan done when clearly he ordered for it and saw that I had one done. So how is it my fault that you decided to do another ct scan when clearly in the portal you can see that I did. This place doesn’t have a welcome spirit nor does the staff care about you! It’s best to die then to come to this place.
Edited review:My first visit at Piedmont Fayetteville ER was not pleasant at firstSome issues at front desk and pt needs.HOWEVER: THE DR[ AA FEMALE].,NURSE SANDY TURNED THE ENTIRE SITUATION INTO A 5 STAR VISIT.Dr. Scott Came in and I was in pain. I tell her my story. She had to do an exam which shot my pain level to 10 out of 10. She immediately asked a nurse to come in and give pain meds.Thats when NURSE SANDY came into my life. This lady was kind, above compassionate and seen that I could barely move due to pain. I had a recent back surgery and she listened., found a vein and got those medications in. She asked cat scan to come back when my pain was managed. Then she took me to cat scan. The CT tech and her was an awesome team. They even put a draw sheet on ny bed so if I had to be transferred or moved: I could be safely assisted. She out socks on my feet- non skid. This lady and the ER TEAM IN THE BACK PUT A SMILE ON MY FACE.I DONT FEEL GOOD BUT I FEEL BETTER KNOWING THAT THEY CARE and helped me.Lastly, she asked what was a realistic goal for pain 0 out of 10. I said 6. I am on my way there .Thank you all so much for taking care of the chaplain. My surgery was at Piedmont Atlanta by Dr. Joshua Wewel and that staff was excellent also. My town hospital is Piedmont Newnan and they are awesome. Thanks so much for helping me. I hope I didnt mess up my TLIF.Going to sleep now 🥰🙏🏽
My experience was one of a kind I don’t really wanna discuss it but I can promise you from talking to the male doctor and going to a female doctor made my situation okay 👍🏾 it was a experience for atleast 3 months and I was Refered to a fertility specialist but the overall we shall see❤️❤️❤️PIEDMONT FAYETTEVILLE IS OKAY WITH ME AND BOTH DOCTORS THAT WERE ON HAND WHO CALLED ME AFTER AND THEN TALKING TO THE OTHER DOCTOR DAYS APART GAVE ME PEACE AND A FUTURE❤️❤️ AND LETS NOT FORGET THE SPECLIAST WORKING IN MY FAVOR NOW💯💯💯❤️❤️❤️❤️
While triage patients may have some time to wait in the emergency room and nurses and doctors are sure that you arent serious serious condition before they take you back I recently spent six days in the hospital 1 in intensive care Ward had a serious bleed internally lost a lot of blood was on the verge of a transfusion. I can only say that the doctors and staff were the best I have ever dealt with. Their concern for patients was outstanding the information of doctors provided was clear and concise Im happy to say that I am recovering but still have doctors and and staff have found a very closely to my case in short they are one outstanding Hospital.
How to start. Arrived around 12:30am with my daughter to the E.R. Finally gets in a room at 7:00am. Are you going to sit here and tell me your that busy. My wife took her in. She asked why it’s taking so long. They tell her because of the ambulances that have been coming in. Either I’m blind, or they are full of ……, I have only seen 2 ambulances pull in for the time we’ve been here. Believe me, I’m not blind. How does this place justify the way they operate. There is no reason for things to be this slow. Either get better staff that can do their jobs, or hire more staff to help out. No call for the way they are especially if they want to be one the better hospitals around. It’s now 8:00am and we are still here. Really? Hopefully won’t have to come back.
Worst Hostipal ever!!If you want to be mistreated and misinformed! This is the hospital! I went in because I was in labor. They took forever to get me in a room, most of the nurses had a attitude. I couldn’t walk after labor because they drugged me up. None of the nurses seemed concerned!!! I fell and hurt my knee my fiancé had to help me up. When I told the nurse I fell she didn’t seemed concerned and said she didn’t see it. Plus They rush you out after having your baby. I needed help with filling out my son’s paper work to make sure his birth certificate would come out correct due to being under different medications and no one helped me. I asked the nurses multiple times for help with filling out the birth certificate and she told me and my fiancé wouldn’t need to sign a letter of paternity since we were getting married. Now my son’s doesn’t have his fathers name. I called and tried to get it corrected and no one wanted to help me since I left the hospital already after 24 hours of giving birth. The nurse was telling me her shift was over multiple time and she was rushing me out. This hospital needs to lose its license to treat people. The staff of doctors, and nurses all need to lose their jobs. Do not deliver your baby here!
I was admitted through the ER on 5/04/21 and underwent surgery during my stay. Throughout my entire stay and across all departments that I encountered, I received nothing but the best care from the staff. The night shift was actually even better than the day shift, believe it or not! Nurse Ure on the med surg floor was outstanding and really seemed to care about my well-being and comfort. They were always quick to answer the call button and assist me. Great job, PFH! You made a stressful, scary time a little easier to handle.
Was just recently a patient here for major surgery.. went to the ER first and it was a pleasant experience was in and out in about 4 hours.. had surgery about a week ago.. that is where the nightmare begins.. the daytime staff was awesome for the most part.. I had a radical hysterectomy which is difficult enough to recover from.. not even 24 hours after surgery when I asked for assistance getting out of bed I was told to figure it out myself.. what in the actual heck?!the night staff is an absolute shame to that hospital.. in my 6 day stay I had 2 night nurses that were awesome!! The rest were rude and nasty beyond belief!!! Would ring bell and wait 2 hours for someone to come...
So disappointed in Fayette Piedmont hospital and the treatment of the elderly. They have failed my elderly mother with dementia time and time again. They currently are trying their best to make her leave untreated once again. She isnt able to make decisions for herself and no one there has bothered to step up and take the time to thoroughly help her. Dr after dr and even case workers have hurriedly passed her off and never helped the family one time care for her as she desperately needs.Terrible treatment for an veterans widow!
Im beyond impressed with the quality of care I received this past week at Piedmont Fayette while having my baby. A special thank you to my nurse Carolyn who I had a few times throughout my stay who went above and beyond to make me comfortable and keep me sane while adjusting to life as a new mom.
My 92 year old father was in this hospital for 6 days. Upon discharge his doctor recommended acute rehabilitation. We were advised that Metro ambulance service would transfer him to the rehabilitation facility at 7:30 p.m. At 8:45 p.m. we were still waiting. We were advised the transport was very unreliable with providing accurate pickup times but that they should arrive by 9:45 p.m. My father was upset, anxious, and very nervous with the situation. At 4:40 a.m. the ambulance folks showed upand we were told by one of the EMTs that they received the call to pick my dad up just 30 minutes prior to their arrival. I dont know who is responsible for this fiasco but we will avoid using this hospital in the future.
I arrived at this hospital on last Saturday at 3:32 and i kept asking how long is it going to be i was very sick with the flu and i was hurting in my body and other people got there after me and they was seen before i was and i kept asking when is they going to see me they kept telling me that i was the next person waiting on a bed. I was sleepy and tired plus i was from out of town told them that i am going to leave and they didnt even act like they care. this hospital is very unorganized they are unprofessional they act like care but they dont
If you are really sick please dont go to this Hospital. I am a 60 year old female that went to this hospital with chronic underlying problems and covid. I was running fever and sick as I could be. I went by ambulance because my children were seriously scared that I was not going to be okay. I was told that this hospital was already at capacity and was deferring ambulances to another location but I asked to go there because they have all of my medical records. When I got there, there was almost no one at all in the waiting room yet I had to wait forever before they would even take me in for triage. I was so sick I could barely stand and walk yet they made me walk all over the place instead of getting me a wheelchair. Even though there was no one in the waiting room they took me from a stretcher and put me into the seats in the waiting area. After what seemed like an eternity they took me in the back and did not one thing to help me. They never even took my temperature even though I was burning up. They never gave me anything to help with the fever that they refuse to even acknowledge. They would not give me a covid test at all. I was told they were not a testing site. WTH! They are supposed to be a hospital that are there to help people. I couldnt even get an aspirin out of them. I didnt bring medication with me because I thought I was going to get help. 2 hours later they released me having done nothing at all to help me. It was the worst experience Ive ever had with a hospital and with all of my underlying chronic conditions Ive had a lot of them. If this site would let me I would give them zero Stars. I left there and went to another hospital and had a completely different experience. One where I was given help. One of the most important things that they did was put covid down as my diagnosis on my release papers even though they never tested me for covid. Its quite clear here that the doctors at this Hospital prefer guesswork to actual diagnosis. How scary is that!!!
What can I say that hasnt been said. The most absolute worse hospital Ive ever been too. Arrived at around 8:30pm and wasnt brought back into a room until about 4:00am. Wasnt actually assisted but was referred out and on I am still waiting form someone to check on me and give my doctors note. No one checks in to see if you need anything. Its mind blowing how slow this has been. Ill just go farther out next time.
My fiancé was admitted through the ER a few weeks ago. Everyone was great except for that last dr, Dr. Befikir Atil. He sent a prescription to the pharmacy that required a precert before the insurance would cover it and after calling and asking for it to be done urgently, it was never done. He also didn’t send him home with a prescription for another much needed other medication as well as referring him to a doctor that is no longer taking patients because he’s retiring. I have to personally give a huge thank you and glowing review for RN Case Manager Ashley D. Howard. Every time there was a problem or there was something we needed, she would get it taken care of as quickly as possible. She truly went above and beyond with helping make sure we got the medication and supplies that were needed as well as helped with trying to get follow-up appointments. If it weren’t for her, I don’t know what shape he would be in post discharge. Thank you Ashley for being an RN who cares. I wish I could remember all the RN’s names who cared for my fiancé because ALL the nurses we encountered were awesome, they were the real MVPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Honestly worst experience with a hospital i have ever had. You might as well just die laying in the waiting room for your name to be called because thats probably whats gonna happen before you get called. i have been here about 3 times and not once has any of my trips been less than 5 hours. 4 of those hours are just waiting to be seen. It is always crowded and the staff push emergencies off to the side as if theyre not important. smh. oh and people with less injuries or illness will be called before you fyi.
We have had 3 kids at this hospital and had a good experience everytime. Having the Chick-fil-A there is just awesome. My only suggestion is to combine some of these medical roles. 3 to 4 different people come to the room between 1am and 6 am making it hard to rest. Why cant the people getting vitals also draw blood? They definitely need to six sigma that process.
Why does it take 8 hours to see a doctor for a sprained wrist. So many people sitting around laughing and playing. Not enough people working! How do you loose a patient in the system. This is the worst hospital I have ever been in. They need to retrain there staff on empathy. A woman that could not breath in the building and you cant find the time, other than filing your nails, to go outside and get her. What happened to making the patient comfortable. Negative 1 star!
Where should I start? -10 stars if I could. But lets start at the ER. The fact the ER doctors see it fit not to call important doctors because they dont want to bother them on Sundays, says they care more about the specialist doctors lifestyle then the patients care. Even though that same doctor was on call.Next the nurses, who seem to think they can talk to patients amd their families like they are children!! They dont inform them of what meds they are about to recieve nor introduce themselves before those meds are given, even though procedure of ANY medical office is to verify name and birthrate before meds. This hospital used to be the top in the area, but now they are just as bad as southern regional. Wont be surprised if they allow a patient to die waiting on proper care! The nurses are extremely rude, cold hearted and couldnt care less about what those patients and their families are going through! I wouldnt trust them to look after an ice cube melting! DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONES OUT OF YOUR SITE!!
Horrible and very unclean Ive seen on 3 occasions blood on the ground n walls also they allowed me to visit my husband in the er with my 2 kids the next day oh no they must be 18 blah blah blah my kids are well behaved and are with me if they were 18 what difference would that really make????? Be consistent i would hate to see if he was dying u gone tell them they cant see their dad then very very stupid policy and oh yea covid aint going no where so let that stupid rule dye out
This hospital is only looking for covid dollars! My daughter has phnemonia, find on a chest xray! The hospital gave her meds and she is having a bad reaction to one of the meds so she called to get a different antibiotic. A doctor called her back and belittled her and refused to change the antibiotic! The doctor offered to give her a script for allergies! So, if you dont give the hospital extra dollars for covid you are welcome to die!!! Malpractice, lack of care, this hospital will allow you to die unless they see covid dollars coming with your treatment!
I have had to come to this ER thrice, only once for myself, and every time it has been the best experience I could ask for, given the circumstances. This one today was for my elderly mother, who was very worried, and everyone was just outstanding. Her nurse, Grayson, in particular.. We were singing his praises on the way home. So kind and personable. He took his time answering questions, didnt rush anything. This has been my experience every time visiting the ER. Also had a baby at this hospital and once again was not disappointed. I feel very lucky to be near it.
Currently at the Piedmont hospital Emergency room in Fayetteville GA and everyone is getting seen and taken care of EXCEPT all of the African American men !! 😡😠😒 The nurses were Allie and Katie( charge nurse) I asked to speak with her and waited over 40 mins and she never came.. we stayed over 6hrs and they didn’t take care of us. One of the WORST experiences of my life. I wouldn’t recommended anyone to go there for treatment. My husband is still having excruciating head pain. They were terrible.
At first when I came in everything was going smoothly and fast but once I got in a room I’ve been waiting for an doctor for hour an half and currently still waiting and when I talked to the nurse she said she don’t know but whenever he can get to me.. this is the reason I hate coming to hospital!! I don’t recommend coming to this hospital because u gonna be waiting for a very long time even when your pain level is 9.!! It’s like they only have one doctor in the back. I’m very disappointed with how they are running the emergency department process!!
This is by far the worst hospital in the world! After sending my loved one here with Covid. The doctors continued to call with lies giving false hope as if they were actually caring for her. They even said they couldn’t get a hold of anyone at times, which were all lies! They literally starved my love one to death! Told us she was on a feeding tube. There is literally no evidence of a feeding tube. Sent her home, “with Covid” but we couldn’t visit the hospital because she had Covid but you sent her home with Covid. A little over two weeks and she comes home with a bed sore! Which means you guys put her in a room and left her there without any medical attention and no food! Sent her home with no feeding tube! You guys are monsters!
I had an important MRI. The Doctor cancelled his appointments. I was called half way to the appointment. I was almost there. Over an hours drive. The voicemail that was left said to call to reschedule. I called to reschedule. The lady I talked to. Very ride. Insisted that I was never on the schedule. So who called me? Over twenty minutes. She still says I wasnt scheduled. So I hung up and called another office they are affiliated with. This lady was super sweet. She says I was indeed scheduled. It shows the doctor cancelled his appointments. She doesnt know why the other lady couldnt find me. I wont ever go here. Very unprofessional.
This hospital USED to take good care of patients. I used to feel comfortable here. But not anymore. The place has gone down hill. We spent 11 hours in the ER and received no help other than a CBC and referrals. The doctor never came to see us. We only saw two nurses. The first not saying much and when asked about the blood work stated “it’s okay”.. NO! people need DETAILS, that is why we are here. I had to ask the second nurse to pull up the lab results, and I just read them all myself because these people do not care. Also, please clean up the bodily fluids on the windows and etc...this is digusting and unsanitary.
I was taken to Piedmont Fayette Hospital by ambulance after fainting giving blood at my church. The nursing staff there treated me so bad that I will never go back even though I have lived in Fayetteville the last 20 years. I was humiliated and treated so disrespectfully that it has traumatized me. Five days later I was admitted to Emory hospital with Pneumonia. I live close to Fayette Piedmont hospital, but I was afraid to go back after I was treated so badly by the emergency room nurses. I filled out their online survey that they sent me after my visit and told them about my experience. I received no apology or phone call from the staff who administered the survey. I called the customer service department and complained and asked for an administrator or manager in the executive office to call me and that has not happened either. Months have passed and no one cares. I am using this platform after telling my story in the beauty shop and someone advised me to write a review. One of the people there told me they had a problem at Piedmont Fayette also. Beware people you could be mistreated there when you are sick and need help. Let’s not stay silent. Tell everyone you know when you are mistreated.Rose D. Jackson
The wait time in the E.R. is just ridiculous. Patients are seen quickly at the triage for basic vitals and history of symptoms, but have to wait hours before they are actually taken care of. I’ve been here since 9pm and it’s 3:22am and I’m still waiting. Thank God this isn’t a life-threatening matter because I would be in some serious trouble. I don’t care about the drive but I will be finding somewhere else to go if I ever have to go to an E.R. again.
The next time you have a patient calling with an issue stating they need to speak with their doctor they saw two nights ago because THEY ARE LOSING THEIR HEARING NOW I think you should restaff your emergency room! The papers we were discharged with state to call the doctor if it worsens and if we cant even do that then whats the point? If I lose my hearing because your front staff HANGS UP ON ME you will be in for a nice lawsuit.
I feel fortunate to have this hospital in my town. The ER operated like something you see on tv when my mother came in fighting for breath with congestive heart failure, when my mother-in-law had a stroke, and when my daughter came in coughing desperately from a punctured lung (Over multiple years). My daughters childbirth experience and NICU care was excellent in 2020. Only complaint? No where near enough parking in a normal (not 2020) year.
Excellent staff and excellent care was provided to me by each team member I encountered. Very professional and courteous staff. The facility was clean and very comfortable. I would highly recommend Piedmont Hospital to others. The only downfall was the 2 hour wait in the Emergency Room. The people who came after me, but, appeared sicker than myself, were put ahead of me, understandably so. As it turned out I was admitted and had surgery a few hours later.I will visit here again, if necessary to see emergency professionals. I also love the private rooms
This hospital is horrible. My 9 year old was burned. I took her to the closest hospital near my house because I panicked.. worst thing I could have ever done.. we waited in the waiting room for an hour and a half just waisting time. I was so frustrated to see my child in pain and because we had to wait in the waiting room for so long. The check in staff were the only ones really concerned. I decided to leave to emergency room and drive to The Children’s healthcare of Atlanta, who gave my daughter the best possible treatment and care by the way! Cudos and props to them. Thought for the day? Do not take your small children to the Piedmont Fayetteville location. You will be treated as if you are a number and NOT a real human being.
I had my baby girl 10/23/2020 my nurses were Holly,Abby,Haley ,Katie,Stephanie those ladies were so good to me !!! They deserve to be honored this was my first baby and I had an amazing experience thanks to these wonderful ladies !! I laughed and I cried and they were by my side every step of the way !! They answered any questions for me,they kept checking on me , made sure I knew every medicine that was put in my iv and was holly was amazing with taking my iv out and putting it back in with no pain at all ! They were so nice to me,very calm , comforting, and understanding !
They like to use ignorance as a tool to manipulate the amount of care given. I’m truly speaking of administration.Which in turn flows down hill. It takes a very strong, determined, compassionate, understanding employee to to go above and beyond their superior telling them U don’t have to do that…
This is an amazing hospital and very kind staff all around. This was my first time visiting an ER and I was very scared. I was nervous after reading the reviews but this hospital is nothing but professional. They have staff picking you up from your car to take you in. When I came in there was no line. The check in lady was very kind and explained everything to me. They are very efficient and organized. Everything was very clean. All the nurses were patient and attentive. The doctor took time to listen and made sure my pain was taken care of. I was there maybe three hours with a packed lobby, didn’t even realize it was that long because they kept you moving to the next station. Very grateful, they took a scary experience and put me at ease and made me comfortable.
I went to the ER last night with chest pains and numbness. The check in nurse was extremely kind and unbelievable efficient. Normally it’s hard to find veins to draw blood and I get poked several times. However he was able to get it done with one stick and it didn’t hurt at all. The rest of the nurses and doctors were the same way. They made a scary experience a lot easier. Amazing Amazing Amazing!!!!!
Rushed a close relative to the ER. They were not as attentive &’ urgent like most hospitals. My brother was in serious pain &’ kept asking him millions of questions. Spent almost 4 hours in the waiting room when the waiting room had only 6 people waiting to be seen. They drawn too many blood out of him, he looks flushed out. The place feels like a prison for the patient. Only one nurse was super sweet to him.
If you wanna die piedmont is the place to go .i was having really bad stomach pains chest pains and more . for 1 the ER wait was VERY long . about 2hours . i was crying in horrible pains & kept askinh how long , her excuse was i dont get paid enough to check to see if theres someone available when theres other people worse ??!!!?!!??! i was livid . then when i finally got in a room they had me waiting for another 2 hours just to take my urine sample and blood work . took about another 2 hours for my results to come back & they said there was NOTHING wrong but i know my body and there was definitely something but walked out empty handed . i went to a different hospital & they were faster and helpful & told me all the problems i had . how did they see what was wrong but not piedmont ??? and thats just one of 3 stories
I went in because I’m 11 weeks pregnant symptoms of a miscarriage, they had me waiting in the waiting room for more than 3 hours, I went back up to the desk and they told me the wait is 5 hours, I just needed help I just wanted to make sure my baby was okay this is aggravating and depressing! All I needed was help
Went to emergency because of an intense abdominal pain. Even though it wasnt busy at that time waited two hours in the waiting room. I could barely stand or walk. After taking me to a room the dr still took so much time to see me. I never go to hospitals because Im other wise healthy but for being my first time in a hospital in 12 years this was not a good experience. Hopefully I dont I have to go to emergency again. I rather go to a private dr office.
I had an unplanned emergency c-section here and delivered my baby and the whole staff was very very helpful very kind , patient , gentle I would highly recommend this hospital to any mother’s delivering their baby . Would give 5 stars but they kept sending my baby back with his clothes off which was aggravating
OMG!!! Up at 7am write this review after arriving home at 2:30am from being treated @ Piedmont Fayette!! Everyone was so caring,, knowledgeable, friendly,, efficient and worked well as a team!! This was my first visit to the ER and I am so happy I choose to go!! Ive had my share of ER visits since COVID-19! My visit was truly amazing from the time I walked through the door until I was discharged! I felt welcomed and at ease! I was greeted with a smile and hand sanitizer at the door!! The receptionist was very nice and vitals were taken immediately!! Once in triage, my experience was meet with concern, patience and expertise!! Again, because COVID has so many symptoms, that was my first possible diagnosis! I thought at this point, I would be given a COVID test and sent home! Most ERs due to fear on pandemic are quick to diagnose patients with COVID instead of treating the patient!!! A chest x-ray was ordered and to my surprise I was waiting to be placed in a room to see a Dr.! I had multiple symptoms and had no idea why I was feeling so sick!! I finally got a room and at this point, I met two of the most incredible people in the hospital!! My nurse, Elaina and my Dr. Sophia Pelling, DO!! Elaina came in and made me so comfortable as she prepared me to see Dr.! Alot of my results came back ok but yet she continued to treat me with great care! I was there alone but felt like I had a friend with me...At this point, Im confused as to why Im in a room and it dawned on me that they arent letting me go home until they find out!At this point, Dr. Pelling comes and and start asking me questions, Im going on and on about my symptoms and shes asking me questions.. It was at that moment someone truly understood and the next thing I knew...Elaine was back with any and every medicine plus fluid ( IV) to combat my symptoms!! Dr. Pelling is an exceptional Dr. She is smart and knows her stuff!!! She listens and treats the patient!! She was caring, knowledgeable and didnt spend a lot of time with me! However, she has a keen ear for this career and calling on her life!! ELAINA.... thank you for the warm blankets and listening ear!! Elaina is the best at what she does! Im so grateful to have visited Piedmont Fayette Hospital for care!!!! Youre the best!!!
The Emergency Room Review! My visit at this location emergency room today is so disappointing! It’s bad enough when a person is sick but to come to a Hospital such as this and get treated like they are a problem to some of the staff is not acceptable! When I got there at 10:30am signed in the receptionist was not friendly I had to say hello to her, presented her with my information she requested told her why I was there and went to have a seat, so 25 minutes later I get a Called from guy Brian who did my pressure, weight, and temperature he said to me you’re hear for back pains I said yes Sir, he saw how hard it was for me to sit and get up but never offered me a wheel chair! Me being in so much pain thought they would get me one shortly that never happened.Oh when I left there at 2pm I watched BRIAN grab a Caucasian man a wheel chair right away and I also watch him with another African American women who came to him in pain and could barely walk he never got her a wheelchair either. Why we as a sick patient need to ask for a wheelchair when you see a person in excruciating pain in the ER. Nurses can See and not blind the last time I was at this hospital!I was then called to the back 2 1/2 hours later still no one offered me a wheelchair but watched and waited on me to drag myself down these hospital hallways in so much pain to be seated in another room where the nurse S. comes in to talk with me and check me out and then who sends me to X-ray so that guy comes get me and saw me struggling to get up and loose my balance but stood at the door to wait on me struggling getting up and never offered to help me get up or get a chair! I am in so much pain but can’t believe this experience at this location. We walk down this hallway to Meet the X-ray technician no one still says anything about Mam we need to get you a wheelchair because you’re struggling. The young Lady who discharge me in the back with the ponytail was great! I must say I am totally disappointed and will not come back to this emergency room! The customer service they provided to me was unacceptable for any sick patient!
12 days ago I went here they sent me to labor and delivery the doctor was sooooo very rude and the nurse who checked me before her was extremely rude as well found out I passed a blood clot from sch and it was huge I was trying to tell the nurse that she was so rude and wouldn’t let me finish the doctor even asked why I was there ?! Do not go here thank god my baby is okay but I’d never recommend them and I preferred piedmont hospital at first I specifically told my partner to take me there and they didn’t even do their jobs just were rude and passive about everything
After two visits to the fourth floor, first after brain surgery by an excellent team and again for surgery to implant a shunt, and a total of over twenty days, my family and I have nothing but great things to say about the nursing staff, housekeeping (there is nothing dirty about this hospital as one comment suggested!), and the food. The nurses were so kind and gentle, the LPNs and other support staff were almost like family. We felt sad saying goodbye. I know my wife and daughters wanted to take these professionals home with us! Piedmont services, and I have used many, many of them after the lung and brain cancer diagnosis eight months ago, are all above a ten! I cannot say enough good things about the care I received and the way my wife and family were treated. They were considerate and caring at all times for all of us. Thank you Piedmont for such excellent care. Bill Horton
From the ER to my hospital admission I had excellent treatment. The doctors, the nurses, the front desk, the PCTs, the respiratory therapists, housekeeping, food service, EVERYBODY was all smiles and went above and beyond to meet my needs. As a sickle cell warrior that means a lot to be in another state and receive this kind of quality of care. I have never left a hospital and missed my medical caregivers. Thank you so much!!! I wish I could thank them all individually.
This is always my first choice, period. I have had a lot of health challenges this year. Ive been in the ER every month since January, including an emergency surgery in March, and the staff have always been responsive and helpful. Longest Ive ever had to wait to get a room in the back is an hour (and that was on a day they were actually sending out bc they were full but I insisted on staying) ... usually Im triage and back in a room within 30min. Overall, Id recommend this hospital to anyone and its where I take my family when necessary.
I would not recommend this hospital to anyone at all. I suggest if you want proper and professional care take your loved one to Emory. The staff here made countless mistakes, misdiagnosiss and were negligent in the care they gave my loved one. And as a result we are know having to prepare for the worse. I dont understand how the purpose of the hospital is to save lives, but they carelessly mishandled my loved one with no compassion. Dr. A basically told my family to be real and expect death. So much for bedside mannerisms. How does one go from alert and coherent, to a vegetable state after less than 24hrs after being admitted?!? I am absolutely appalled and heartbroken. Think twice before taking a loved one there. At the end of the day its a business and there goal is to make money not save lives.
Used to be a great place but the past 4 years they have gone downhill. My daughter had a security guard coughing up a lung on her maternity ward. We were ignored when we asked about it. My father-in-law had to be taken to emergency and saw 5 doctors that could not communicate between them and in one case not even with us. If we had not been there I dont think he would have been safe. The cleanliness of the hospital has also degraded. When we were in with my mother-in-law the staff was complaining that all the staff had taken jobs with the new Newnan hospital and that all the new staff at Fayette had come from Grady. When we registered to be under hospice care they just stopped seeing us. Speaking to the charge nurse didnt help. They just had other priorities. I dont know what is happening but if it is not fixed it looks pretty bleak. I think they need a new administrator that cares.
Don’t waste your time if u have other options. I live in the Fayetteville and have been there several times. It may be a hit or miss but more times than not, it’s a bad experience. Staff isn’t welcoming at all. They don’t seem to genuinely care about their patients either. I get they want to seem professional but at least try to seem like you care about your patients and their problems. ER is especially a nightmare.
My 17 year old son arrived by ambulance. So, my daughters and I entered the ER to try to join him in his room and we were turned around because of COVID-19. Then I called the Secretary at the hospital and she stated I had the right to see my son but my daughters couldn’t come in. I had to leave them in the car for hours. Then I told the nurse I needed to take them home because it was like 4am in the morning. The charge nurse threatened to call dfcs on me. Minutes later came back and said I had to come right back or she would contact dfcs. I left and came back and had to try to sleep in a chair until a black man walked by and seen how I was trying to sleep. He brought me an Recliner to sleep in which was much better. Hours later they brought my son his breakfast. An hour after that I wanted coffee, so I walked to the cafeteria and purchased coffee. Returned to my son room and spent hours there before I decided to go get me something to eat. Left to get something to eat and returned to the hospital and the charge nurse refused to allow me to see my son. She stated I couldn’t enter the building again. This is ridiculous knowing my son was dealing with mental issues.
My daughter and I took my grandson to emergency care for fever and wheezing. The beginning of the experience was fine and in triage , the nurse administered medication for the fever and my grandson went to sleep. The problem began after triage. We had to wait more than 2 hours. Finally when we were called to an available room, the unusual wait continued. When my daughter complained that she had never had to wait like this, the register, apparently sent in two people who, I assumed were nurses. One looked at the triage notes, and began to shove a thermometer under is tongue rudely. She had an attitude and did not treat my grandson, who is 5 with care. It was very offensive. The wait continued . Then he started wheezing and needed a breathing treatment. After another wait, we chose to leave this hospital to take my grandson elsewhere.Overall, it appears that this hospital is no longer the place of quality service. That I remembered. What is obvious to me is that this hospital no longer cares about peoples time or feelings. It has changed. I dont want to go there again. The hurtful thing is that my daugher asked which emergency facility to take her son and I said, Fayetteville Piedmont. What a mistake!
This by far has been the most amazing hospital that I’ve ever been to in my life...by the way I’m 32. My family and I are visiting the area from Savannah, GA and my 10 year has asthma so we stopped in to this ER for a nebulizer treatment. From the check - in receptionist to the X-Ray technician and respiratory nurse to the doctor was greatness! My 10 yr old was seen immediately due to wheezing and coughing. The doctor and nurses took very avenue to ensure that there was no bronchitis or pneumonia and were extremely caring and informative. They were able to answer every question that I had and gave what was needed. A prescription was written for an inhaler and While getting it filled, I was told that I had to have a prescription for a spacer. I called the hospital and about it and immediately they handled it and got me a prescription for the space. I mean this is beyond amazing! My family and I are relocating to the area and I’m considering this a sign! Because I have three children ages 10 and under, this is relieving for myself and husband. My 10 yr old was cared for by Dr. Mason and her supporting team for the night. You all were AWESOME and I’m so appreciative for the care and time!!!
Save you some time, if you have a kid that is sick don’t bother. Last 3 times our kids have had a medical emergency of some kind we call ahead to let them know we are on their way and their response is always the same “take them to CHoA.” What happens if my child doesn’t have an hour to sit in traffic? I have told everyone I know if you have a child don’t even bother going to this place.
On November 4th between 1:30-3:30/4This was the worse hospital experience I’ve ever witnessed with my own eyes. I took my boyfriend to the emergency room and we witnessed an elderly woman be completely and totally neglected. She was just shoved in the middle of the waiting room and when she needed to use the bathroom all the nurses acted as though it was an inconvenience. She informed me she need help togo to the bathroom I told the check in nurse and she told me okay we will get someone to help her. About 5 minutes go by and then another nurse comes into the waiting room and pulls another patient to the back the woman then told her she needs togo to the bathroom and before she can even finish her sentence the nurse cuts her off saying okay and rolls her eyes. Then 10 minutes go by I tell another nurse and asked if he could help her since she’s been waiting for at least ten minutes and he ask me if I’ve already told someone and I explained that two other people have been asked to help her and have not and ignored her. He got someone to help wheel her to the restroom but the nurse tried to force her to walk and got mad when she couldn’t. This is the worst hospital I’ve ever seen or been too on that note alone and sadly that’s not even it. When my boyfriend and I finally got to the back room they placed us in some room with just two chairs and for us to wait. They Never once took blood or anything of that nature. They swabbed his throat and gave him medicine even though they had no clue what was wrong with him yet. Once the results came back negative for strep they just discharged him before they even told us about the results and what medicine they did give him they sent to a location of their choosing. When we told them that’s not the location we would like it togo too they said they can print off paperwork and cancel it and we do it ourselves. I go to prescribe the medicine and the pharmacy tells me this has been filled at another location which means the hospital never even canceled that which made us wait for that medicine for 4 plus hours. This is hands down the worse hospital I’ve ever came in contact with. God forbid but next time we’re going to Emory! If your nurses and staff hate their job this much and don’t even take the health of the patients requesting their help seriously you should be completely and totally out of business!
My Grandmother is in this hospital.I literally beg my grandma to go to another hospital time and time again. please read this fully. my grandma has congestive heart failure due to having high blood pressure. My aunt goes to see her and notices that my grandma is breathing out of her mouth. My aunt brings it to the nurses attention, the nurses response was oh! she doesnt breathe like that? RUDE!!! next they decide to do some xrays notices she has fluid in her abdomen (i work at a hospital so i know how things should be). My grandma hates goiing to this hospital but she feels she has to go because her records are there. DO NOT GO HERE AT ALL! TAKE YOUR LOVED ONE TO EMORY PLEASE! THEY GO TO SCHOOL TO BE DOCTORS AND NURSES BUT FAIL TO DELIVER THE CARE THAT THEYRE SUPPOSE TO! RUN FOR THE HILLS THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! I PRAY THAT THEY WILL INVESTIGATE THIS PLACE ASAP OR I MYSELF WILL FILE A LAW SUIT NOT FOR MONEY FOR IT TO BE SHUT DOWN! THE ELDERLY LOOK FOR US YOUNGER PEOPLE TO HELP THEM!! NOT DUMP TO THEIR GRAVE BEFORE ITS TIME! PLEASE DONT GO HERE!!!! MANY BLESSINGS!
If you can make it to WellStar or Northside best go there. This is the absolute worst ER I ever been to. First off when we were waiting on a room the staff were going back and forth about someone cleaning the rooms and now they were clean! We finally got a room for our NEWBORN and the doctor was very unprofessional, his phone rang and he actually answered and had a full blown conversation while he suppose to be explaining what’s going on with our infant. Remind you we were there for over 2 hours for him to tell us our baby situation wasn’t that serious! The staff is very dismissive and rude people. Take your self or love ones where they will actually tend to your needs and care about your life . Worst place ever!
I wish I could rate higher than 5 stars. I arrived at piedmont heart for cardiac related questions. Received care within 10 mins of my visit. thorough examination and QUICK XRAY and Blood work results. Freindly, Educated staff and Doctor. Was in, evaluated and cared for with a plan of action within 2 hours. LOVE, This facility. For cardiac evaluation!!!!!
Wow! Just had our youngest born here last month and we just received her social security card in the mail only to realize that the hospital registered the wrong name of our child in their paperwork. So my kid now has a different last name than the rest of our family. Wow, just absolutely wow. So if thats a concern for you I would definitely suggest going somewhere else.

2022-01-12I had an MRI done today. It wasn’t my first so I knew what to expect. I’d like to compliment the tech, her name was Carla. From the time she called me to the waiting room with a smile and a warm voice my experience was great. She was courteous and warm. She was also very professional. There were things Carla did that weren’t offered in previous visits such as a bulb to squeeze in case she couldn’t hear me. Overall she made the experience a lot easier. Well Carla!

2022-05-03We got to the ER at 3am with a respiratory event in a toddler, one of the most nerve-racking event for parents. Even when it is not a pediatric ER, everyone immediately jumped on it, and we were in an ER room in minutes. Lee Rambo in the front desk was just amazing! Tough looking former Army personnel but one of the most compassionate staff members I had the pleasure to interact with. He even visited later in the ER room to check on us and bring a Hot Wheel.Everyone was so diligent and helpful. They had so many life-threatening events in the 5-hr period we were there, including an incoming stroke, a code-blue. Despite all pressures, they kept us posted and taken care of.Sandra, RN was so energetic and friendly. Dr Gordon was also really nice, as well as the 3rd shift staff. To top it off, on the way out the Manager of Facilities Security offered him a little stuffed animal. We are so grateful for diligent care and stellar people skills!

2022-03-06If I could redo anything about my pregnancy, it would be choosing this hospital. The best part about the hospital was the nursing staff DURING delivery. My nurse Savannah and the anesthesiologist were amazing and helped make me feel safe and comfortable. I would give them specifically 5 stars. The room we stayed in wasnt bad, and the food markedly good for a hospital. The Bad:Prior to giving birth, I was given a document to sign stating my wishes for delivery. I marked that I did not want extra observers in the room due to anxiety (the document specifically mentioned students/research purposes). There were two occasions where a student was brought in to observe - once while I was being stitched, and again with a breast feeding consultant. We were billed for an emergency room despite having a completely normal pregnancy and not requiring any urgent services. (Emergency room - $2,938). We were instructed to wait in a room because they did not have a recovery room ready yet ($4,974) - we were there less than 10 minutes and could have just waited in the room we were already in?Once in the recovery room, they will foist products on you at every opportunity, even ones you already have brought, and then charge exorbitant prices for them. They were scanning my wristband before I even knew what they were doing. An $8 tube of Lanolin ointment cost $40.35. A $6 tub of witch hazel pads cost $78. $26.26 for a can of dermoplast, I dont even know why they gave me... At multiple times they tried to bring me pain medicine even after I denied it, and thank God. Its probably $200 for an Advil.I saw a lactation consultant twice, although I didnt ask for one either time. The first one I saw (sadly I did not catch her name) was very fast, but thorough and I felt satisfied with what she showed me. The second consultant (Jackie) went over the same information but was rude, and talked about me/my baby to the student that was with her like I wasnt there. Like saying things about his latching/feeding issues that they did not bother to discuss with me.All in all, being stuck in the recovery room was the worst part of the experience. People were coming in and out and it was an exhausting experience. I could not wait to get out of there, and each time they called to tell me they had to keep me another day felt like I was in prison.

2022-01-17This hospital is amazing. The staffs was more than friendly and supportive. They took their time and made sure I was informed about all my test work, what they were looking for, what they discovered and how to go about it. They answered all my questions, took great care of me, and made sure before I left that I was satisfied. I would give this hospital 10 stars times 10. Thank you Piedmont Fayetteville!!

2022-04-21My mom broke her hip and was admitted through the Emergency Room. I can not speak more highly of the care she has received. Every single person that has been in charge of her care, has had such a warm pleasant attitude. I could not be more grateful to such an awesome group of caring wonderful people. I wish I could put 10 stars on this website. They deserve it!

2022-01-09I would give zero stars if I could.I have a family member in this hospital. His wife has been treated horribly!! I guess his family and children that doesnt too much care for her have been controlling everything and keeping her out of the loop. The hospital is going along with it. Shes not been able to see him, cant get updates and she has made complaints several times and nothing is done. Hes been there for over a month. Theyve been married over 20 years! Its sad to think that being married to someone for 20 years that you get this treatment because your spouse is unable to speak for themselves. Im going to go with her to speak with someone to possibly take legal action. This has been very hard for her.

2022-03-08My daughter was born here and they were very professional the whole time and very helpful. This was my second child and I loved this hospital a lot better than where my first was born. They were a lot more quicker and always made sure we understood everything that was going on to the point we never really had questions. Highly recommend

2022-02-03Im leaving a different review. It seems this hospital is a ball of big mess. Again a different review. My daughter had 2 separate interviews with this hospital. One on June, only to be told on time of arrival, they went with another candidate. Thats after HR, was called first directions and the interviewers info. Second time was today 2/03/22, after being there early for a 10 am interview, we arrived at 9:30, the individual at the front desk of the hospital, was unorganized, not knowledgable about HR or where it was. My daughter repeatedly called the interviewer for 15 mins, only to get voicemail and told you email. It was very very unprofessional. Its seems covid has brought about unprofessional people who really dont care. This isnt a hood poke for a hospital. But as I read reviews I see it a common practice in thus hospital. For those whove had horrible experiences I would seek to gather as many folks as could and file a HUGE class action lawsuit. Km do very glad n have encouraged my daughter not to pursue a career with this organization. Its clear ALL THE WAY AROUND, this hospital isnt one to go to or be affiliated with. This us our experience from the other side. I so hope that the families are gathered a class action suit ensues not only against the hospital but the doctors as well. Sounds like administration is lacking also that theres a HUGE issue with race here. Go to class action.com, see if u get an attorney to take the case. If they do, Id locate all in this review and see other complaints filed against this hospital to make sure NO ONE especially hospital directors and board of directors get away with ignoring these issues and that they are greatly affected. Especially in their pockets and to either shut It down or make drastic improvements. This is morally disgusting.
