I love the River rd Piggly Wiggly. Although the prices can be a little higher than the big chain stores....It still has that hometown feel for real. Its nice to go in and be able to relax while walking around without the large crowds. Its also nice to have a real cashier to ring up my items.... who really feels like ringing up and bagging their own groceries on an after work grocery run.... not me. Thanks Piggly wiggly for keeping that hometown feel.

I enjoy shopping at the Piggly Wiggly because its never over crowded and never out of stock on items they sell. The only reason I dont give them 5 stars is because it being a smaller chain of grocer they might not carry a certain item that your looking for. Other than that I would recommend grocery shopping at the Piggly Wiggly to anyone who might ask

Down Home Down the Street (literally) Piggly Wiggly...A lot of their food is out dated so you have to check the dates on their food before you purchase it...(SMH)
This is MY down home down the street store!This store has great staff, very friendly and helpful. I have to say that in all the many years Ive been coming to shop at this S. Lumpkin Rd Pig, I HAVE NEVER smelled the stink of spoiled meat. As most know, that is the most awful stench,and any store having that issue does not get my business.But I give my Oakland Park Piggly Wiggly 5 stars!

I rather shop at Piggly Wiggly than most other food stores. It has a much friendlier atmosphere and you can always find someone to help if needed
Convenient to my neighborhood . Easy access for wheelchairs and they also provide grocery scooters for customers needing them. They are usually fully charged as a much appreciated feature. Store is clean organized and well stocked. Prices are a little higher than I had expected.

I love this store! Mr Fred (Biser) is p the best manager of any of the stores! Hes always ready to help a customer in any way and quick to help out the cashiers/baggers or open a lane!

I havent been to this Piggly wiggly in quiet some time. I see the hours have changed, no longer 24 hours. I also a spike in alot of prices of the products. The honey ham I usually buy here has gone from 4.99 to over six dollars. Chicken tenders that used to be 11.99 are now 15.99. prices are definitely not what they used to be. I found some cheap chicken and a few pork chops and made my way out. Even the meat had dead flies on it, couldnt tell if it was inside or outside the pack. Definitely not Franks anymore, nor the upscale Piggly Wiggly it used to be. I think I will just continue to shop on my side of town.

Prices are ok. Meat isnt always fresh. So check it closely. And the fruit is sometimes a little old to be for sale.I still like to shop here from time to time. Small town feel grocery store. Much more enjoyable than shopping in Walmart.

I have shopped with Piggly Wiggly for over 40 years. The people who work here are very friendly, the prices are good, they have good, weekly sales, and the best part is they have a butcher. The meat is not shipped in.
Went in for beef bones to make broth for pho soup. I knew it was a long shot but I asked a store employee if they had any beef bones and was helped right away. The employee went to get the meat dept manager to help. The manager brought some beef bones to me. He even told me never pay more than 50c for them. On a side note, while waiting for my beef bones, I checked out the meat selections. They had turkey and pork neck bones as well. Will definitely go back for my meats. And I love that they sell locally made products like Kelleys and Conecuhs sausages.
Quick and convenient, decent pricing, but youll probably want to get your fresh produce and meats elsewhere. They were the only ones with water still in stock when the panic of hurricane Irma swept through though and thats worth something.
It gets three stars just because I love the name and thats its a local store. However, thier prices are outrageous, and the store smells weird. I go to pig for two items. One that they sometimes have, and the other, they no longer have.
This location has really gone down hill. The meat department always stinks to the point it makes me sick. The cashier was rude and wouldnt read back the coupons that were supposed to be taken off because I used my mobile app!!
Be cautious of vegetables and fruits prepackaged. Somtimes they have bad items on bags.
Youre not here because its Publix. Youre here because its local. This store harkens back to the days of local operators looking after their local customers, selling local products wherever they can. From the managers to the cashiers to the people stocking the floor, all are friendly as can be. And beyond that, if youre paying attention, they have the best deals and best sales in town. Worth your time and well worth your support.

I come to this Piggly Wiggly often because its close to me but it to me its not the cleanest that I can be it looks like theyre working on that though the last time I was in there so maybe its getting better

Great store with friendly staff; open 24 hours unlike most other area supermarkets. Meats are usually much cheaper than Walmart, and other items are priced competitively.
There was no bag boy present and elderly people were having to bag their own groceries. I understand having a bad day but someone should have came over to bag. Managers bagged when I worked there 10 years ago.
I brought 2 cabbages, didnt realize they were rotten, until I got them home, my onions and celery were wilted, Id stay away from the produce. To be on the safe sides meats to. I will never waste my money there. They did offer a refund.
Lets see the produce is Always Moldy, the employees are rude, the store Always looks dirty And the bathrooms are Super Filthy & Sarah needs to find her a new Job with that Nasty attitude she has. She doesnt deserve a Job period Ive been shopping here a very long time and because of her and her Nasty Attitude i will Never be back, she needs to take some Customer service classes.

Good ole Piggly Wiggly! Its been a Columbus tradition for many years. I have to go there occasionally just to make sure that Walmart hasnt put them out of business they the way they have put many stores out of business. The Piggly Wiggly brings back thoughts of yesteryear grocery shopping.
Not the cleanest, but they definitely have a lot of foods you can’t find in other chain groceries. The only reason for three stars is I don’t trust the produce here, not the freshest.

I love piggy wiggly on river Rd my favorite piggy wiggly in all of Columbus live over in the Britt David Rd area and we have one down the road but they are not friendly people I have never been to the river Rd store where the employees are always very friendly even the customers I will always go out of my way to go to river Rd piggy wiggle down the Rd down the St piggy wigglyyyyyy
Nice staff and a good selection of affordable food.
I dont go here often and i would suggest others avoid if you can make it some where else. This store has had a horrid smell coming from the meat department for at least 20 years and the quality of produce has gone way down hill. If you must stop here do it for dry goods only.
****THIS IS FOR 13TH AVE, GA****My hometown store. Been shopping here since I was a little girl. The people become friends. Everyone wants to help. They open a new register if anyone is waiting in line, which I love. They purchase vegetables from our local farmers helping our whole community. And they give back to their customers with their Moolah drawing every week and every 16th week, $500/wk and $20,000/every 16th wk.They also support local charities. Down Home, Down the Street, Piggly Wiggly!

This store is open 7days a week 24 hours per day depending whether its a major holiday great prices on some stuff& you bag your own groceries and has brown paper bags.
Its an ok store to shop sometimes. Personally I dont go there often. Its a little messy and dirty.

This is the cleanest, most professional run piggy wiggly youre going to find anywhere, Ms. Connie runs a tight ship, all her people treat you like family when you come in, her store is a lot better than the big new one on Woodruff road, you feel like its your store.
The cashier that serve me was very courteous and kind very knowledgeable at the store even though she is young she is a good employee for Piggly Wiggly I was very pleased I grew up
I love the Piggly Wiggly on River Road. They have the nicest people very helpful. I shop there at least once a day if not multiple. I would recommend everyone to come an see for yourself.

Its showing its age but the staff is nice and it is open 24 hours. Piggly Wiggly is one of the few places where you can still get good Southern foods.
Place always has EXPIRED food. A million dollar franchise grocery and this town has to deal with expired food. Not the managers fault? Who knows. Could be the owners. Beware. If its not urgent, drive to the other on 13th.
This is an older store and it has the smell of rotted vegetables a lot. Wal- Mart produce surpasses them in price, freshness, quality and quantity.

Piggly Wiggly on 13th Street in Phenix City Alabama is one of the smaller stores. the people there are awesome the cashiers the stock people theyre always there to assist and help you.

Very friendly staff. They will smile and help you. When I needed some help, they were very polite in asking me if I needed help and then helped me.
Some of the prices this store is very expensive but customer service over all makes up for the high prices

Generally dirty in appearance. The meat department has a foul odor. Ive found packaged meat with flies trapped in the wrapper and out of date products on the shelf.

The prices, compared to the other PW locations are overpriced..but at least the meat department doesnt smell like rotten meat corpses anymore. So thats a plus.

2022-06-23This poor Piggly wiggly needs to be gutted and remodeled so bad, the meat Dept always smells of spoiled meat! The whole store looks like a blast to the past(like 1974), I say just pull the whole thing down and sell the land or build a new PW!

2022-01-14I stopped in tonight just a few minutes before closing. I hate going anywhere right before they close but I am visiting from Kansas City and I really wanted a piggly wiggly T shirt! I hadnt seen a piggly wiggly in years, so this brought back many happy childhood memories. I just wanted to leave a review to say how wonderful the 2 ladies were that were working tonight!! They were so kind and helpful! God bless you ladies and thank you so much for being kind! Excellent customer service !! This store is lucky to have such wonderful employees working for them, they deserve to hear it!

2021-12-28The store always has a raunchy smell and the floors are always dirty when I do go there. Piggly Wiggly needs to be taught and shown by someone who manages a Publix grocery store how to keep a store clean and smelling good... Just Sayin!!!

2018-06-27Nice supermarket with neatly organized isles of canned goods, packaged foods, picnic products, etc. Good selection of meats freshly cut and prepackaged. Good selection of fresh produce. The store is clean and orderly. The restrooms are clean. The staff is friendly. The front sidewalk was being remodeled for easier handicap access.The store is conveniently located with easy in and out easily seen from River Road.

2021-11-14I must mention Alex the butcher! He answered the phone for me was so kind and very helpful. I called ahead because I was sending dad in for groceries and wanted to make sure the hanging country ham was available. If your from the area you will know😉. He was there when my husband arrived help him with selecting and also cutting the ham to order great me member of you Piggy Wiggly team.

2021-08-25Not there but a few minutes & theyhad what we shopped for... and they had my favorite plums! However, there is an odor throughout the store. Im gonna say it... its hard to tell is the odor is funky meat or a restroom. They may just need to change out some air filters ... or look into it further. Hopefully it improves though, so I can rate better later.
