Poke Bar in other cities:
Ok, this place was pretty cool. Setup like a Chipotle, Moes, and etc but in this case with sushi ingredients. I got the medium meal with half white rice and half brown rice with albacore, spicy tuna and octopus. I also added the seaweed salad along with it which is one of many sides you can get. Theres lots of options that each seem to go great with this meal. The damage on wallet was $13 including drink but even with that price Ill be back as it tasted wonderful. Give it a try if you havent
First experience with Poke here in Atlanta. I love it here in Poke Bar! Nice and clean sitting area, cute and friendly servers, fresh and yummy food, multiple choice for sides, mixes and sauces. My boyfriend and I enjoy the dinner here so much and we really wish there can be more in the city of Atlanta 👍🏻😄
This poke bar is located at in a very convenient plaza. It has a lot of branches so you could probably find it around anywhere. The price and the quality of the food are fair. They give you plenty of protein which I think is really nice. The service is really nice and this restaurant is clean. Really recommend for a lunch here during weekdays.
One of my first places I ever tried poké at! If you are looking for a quick, healthy and inexpensive meal I would dine here. Poké is a rice bowl with raw fish and other assortments added. The fish here is so fresh. I usually get the small as the serving portion is very good for me. You can choose your base (rice, noodles, greens) and then your protein. I like the spicy tuna, salmon or scallops. You can add sides, sauce and mix-ins. I really like the seaweed salad! I love adding cilantro, corn, kale, jalapeno and cucumbers. You can also add toppings such as crispy onion and stand seeds. This location has plenty of parking. The line moved quickly and the employees are very helpful and friendly. The inside is cute and always clean. I will be back to try different varieties.
Can we all agree this is the Chipotle of Sushi? Very innovative. Food tastes pretty alright. I am not sure about blending everything in the same bowl: rice, 2-3 types of fish, vegetables both fresh and preserved. Id like to see they make adjustment on the quantity. I got a medium bowl, and I finished my rice way before everything else.
So this is a Chipotle style Asian joint. It is really interesting and totally legit. My meal, as shown in my picture was appetizing looking and the taste was great. It was all cold except for the rice, so be prepared. It was $12 for a drink and my bowl, and I didnt upgrade anything. Totally worthy and in glad I tried this place out.
I ordered because I thought the food would be served in the little box it was being prepared in, but was disappointed to see it transferred to a plastic container. What they have listed as “tea” turns out to be soda 🤷🏽♀️ because it has carbonated water as the main ingredient. Almost $17 for the medium bowl and soda FYI, and the food was very mild in flavor (barely noticed the sesame oil).
The first red flag was the completely empty store, even on a Monday during a pandemic one would imagine a few other intrepid diners at 6:30 PM. The rice was old, it had been in the steamer since lunch. The fish was okay, a couple of stringy tuna pieces but nice salmon. Their veggies were fine; a decent selection. Overall it’s just okay, I’ve had terrific pokè, and this ain’t it.I’ll grant that it could have just been an off night. The uninterested employees lounged in the back watching a sports game, but they took care of us just fine. My kids enjoyed it. Skip the miso soup, the tofu was a couple of days past its prime.
We recently noticed Poke Bar and stopped for lunch. Initially, it was very confusing - very little signage to show what our options and/or requirements were. The first employee we encountered tried his best to process our order. What we gradually discovered was that the size meal was 2, 3, or 4 scoops of protein and a variety of mix-ins (onion, kale, pineapple, etc.), flavor (dressing), and garnish or topping. I will do better on a return visit because I better understand how to create my meal. Staff was very pleasant and I enjoyed what I chose. Beginners luck, I suppose. We shall return!
Great for a quick, fresh stop. I quite like the set-up, you get to choose everything from the size of the bowl to the sauce and seasonings. Ive never tried poke before, and I felt as though this was a good place to start. I had the medium bowl with salmon and tuna, with sweet chili sauce and seaweed salad. Everything was delicious, I look forward to returning and trying some more flavor combinations.
Pretty good. Like many other reviews, signage needs to be better. Either that or the prep chef needs to explain and talk more - If Im leaving a tip then the prep chef needs to act as a waiter/waitress in terms of communications. They have more options then raw fish, chicken is great if they dont run out. Seems Korean owned, worth going.
I asked for no meat in my pickup order and asked for double substitution meat “if possible” indicating that I knew it may not be. They then delivered my food with meat (lots of it) and wrote in the bowl “crab substitution is not a protein”. I feel it should be taken into consideration that I cannot consume meat if I asked for substitution instead of actual meat. Instead of calling and telling me this and providing me with another option they delivered a meal that I couldn’t eat. I then spent the next 35 minutes calling to check on my replacement options but for 35 minutes… nobody answered and my lunch break is but so long. This was my first time at this poke branch due to my job relocation but I doubt I’ll return.

Ive come here several times before and theyre usually really amazing. Food always tastes good, and the bowl is delicious and looks really neatly organized. Today I was really disappointed though... Maybe it was a trainee or some other situation, but the ingredients were more thrown into the bowl rather than placed neatly and organized. When it came to the spices and 2 toppings, my server sort of globbed it on top and she made it messier and less presentable than usual...Took it to go, then realized I never got chopsticks or soy sauce. Its TYPICALLY not like this, but coulda been a trainee or something? The food tasted amazing per usual. I just wasnt happy with the presentation/expectation of our usual order.
I love this place but they will do to go orders one after the other while you’re just standing in line. It takes forever if you go in during lunch. It’s also just frustrating to watch to go orders jump you in line. I finally walked out, ordered online and went back in and got my order. People in front of me still just standing there.
I love to go here after leaving la fitness down the street, medium bowl with kale noodles (worth the $1 upcharge) the marinated tuna, don’t sleep on the octopus. Jalapeños, edamame, seaweed, how good does this sound? And the people who work there are super friendly, highly recommend.

Not a good value for the money. Food was mediocre and I could have gotten a warm flavorful dinner for the same price. They also serve their food in plastic containers that they dont recycle. I wont be back.2nd response:. Thank you for your thoughtful response. I ordered my bowl with the tofu. When it was being put in the container I asked if it was going to be cooked and I was told no. So maybe the vegetarian option is what needs to be worked on. I suggest cooking and flavoring the tofu. Best wishes with your new adventure!
UPDATE: Everything is back to its awesome normal at this location. Great food and great portions. Im so glad.OLD REVIEW:I used to love this place but I went in yesterday and ordered a medium but the portions were the same as a small. The two ladies who prepared my meal were inattentive and did not listen to my requests. I do not like paying the same for less. I dont know if there was a change in management, but if this is your idea of saving money, consider my money lost.Sincerely,A weekly customerPS: I will be going in one more time at random to verify the new and disappointing state of things. My reveiw may change.
I go to this location once a week (at least), but lately I have been super disappointed... the staff changes constantly and the amount of food you get depends on whos serving you. The portions are getting smaller and smaller and the staff lacks energy when preparing your food. Even my coworkers, who I purchase bowls for at lunch time, have noticed that their Poke isnt that big, savory and hearthy meal they used to get... the portions nowadays are not worth the price, unfortunately.

Fresh and healthy. Simple process. Small, medium, or large bowl which will give you 2, 3, or 4 proteins. For lunch, I get a small. Dinner, a medium. I am 190 pounds if that helps your decision making on size. In addition to the raw seafood options, they do have several cooked meats now. You choose your base, protein, and toppings and they mix it up in a bowl. Not the best quality fish, but it is fresh. Always leaves me feeling good.
I frequent this location out of convenience since I live close, but lately I am consistently disappointed with little things like always being out of avocados when I come, or prep staff not willing to go out of their way to find out the answer to a simple question about the ingredients. When I went to the Dunwoody location, I was amazed at how much better the overall experience was. the presentation of the food, the friendliness of the staff, and how organized and stocked they are. They should teach this location a thing or two.
The food was mixed by gloved hand rather than with a clean utensil, presentation was poor, and the Ponzu tasted like vinegar. I’ve had much tastier poke at another establishment with larger portions for the price so maybe I’m biased. But I wouldn’t go back to Poke Bar.
Preface: I want to say I love eating out and I dont like to complain. But I will call out a restaurant when I need to.Overall: If you want quick food, youll get it here. However, the quickness of the items here come at the cost of quality. Some of the food options when you could see in the cold line hadnt been rotated and they pre cook the hot menu items, reducing its quality.Food: As I said, lacks in quality. The fish seemed to have been sitting for a while and the sauces were split. Make sure to not get any of the boba or milk tea. It was not fresh as the boba was cracked and in the refrigerator. (Good boba needs to be warm)Service: I do appreciate that the person behind the line was working hard. But he neglected to tell me that several menu items were off the menu (such as the black milk tea) and proceeded to replace it with something different without telling me, as if I wouldnt notice or know any better. I called him out on it.Cleanliness: The front of house was good and they had procedures to clean during this era of COVID-19. The back of house food line unfortunately was disorganized and somewhat covered in spicy tuna or wasabi. Do know, the restaurant wasnt busy. Also the trash was visibly overflowing.Ambiance: The music was too loud to the point I couldnt order without shouting. Also the smell of the restaurant was somewhat foul.Rating: 1.7 out of 5
I love this place! I’ve been coming here for a year to the Abernathy location. I have noticed of late that there has been a shift in service staff. They are friendly, but the restaurant is filthy. It used to be pristine in here and this staff does not take out garbage regularly, wipe down tables or clean bathrooms. Serving raw ingredients ya a huge responsibility and if they are handling the food like they clean the restaurant I have serious reservations about continuing to come here. Please address the issue so that I feel like I am eating in a clean environment!!! Thanks !
If you eat healthy and love seafood you will LOVE this place!! Same concept as Chipotle, pick your base, pick your seafood, pick all the extras that pile on. A medium is just right, giving you three seafood choices. Only downside is limited beverage selections (no beer or wine) and if you opt for a glass of water instead of buying a big bottle youre handed a lame plastic cup about the size of a small juice glass. If you catch them at a busy spurt dont give up, the line moves very fast. Great value for you dining$$s.
AMAZING. So fresh and so tasty. The portions are amazing for such a reasonable price and the quality of the food itself is outstanding. Ive had bad sushi that was twice as expensive and half as good as what they are serving here. I hope they keep doing what they are doing for a long time to come.
This is a nice healthy choice, especially for those who are a pescatarian. I like that you can get full off a med bowl and everything that you can add is definitely different that a regular salad bar. The kale noodles are a nice alternative to your regular base lettuces. The selection of meats is mostly fish, uncooked, but they do have 1 selection of marinated chicken, so it was easy to feed my boys. One thing about this place is do not feel shy to ask for a little extra of anything. Id def come back if it wasnt so far.
Very fresh, reasonable prices. If you like sushi, youll like this place. Also, I used to regularly go to the Los Angeles sushi spot that this chain started out of a few years ago. Then I recently moved to Atlanta and this spot popped up in my neighborhood here. Small world.Give it a try!
When we walked in it smelled like fish, which immediately put me off. I went out of my way to make sure I chose fish that was cooked to out on my poke. One of my choices of protein was the tuna. I thought it was tossed in some kind of cream sauce when it was scooped up.It was mayonnaise. The mayo was so strong I couldnt taste anything else in my poke. It over powered everything and was just gross!!Im so disappointed! I dont recommend. The employees look scared/ stressed and I dont know why when the place was empty. They didnt seem happy to be here. No smiles, no nothing
Of all the Poke Bars in the area, this location in particular is the one I prefer. It’s just better. The other Poke Bars aren’t nearly as good as this one, and I know they’re all the same chain, but the others that I’ve tried have all disappointed me. So I’m sticking with the OG.
Ive been a regular customer for over a year but the service is going down. A worker just tried to charge extra for free toppings and this has never been an issue. Im not getting a bowl with raw fish only to have 3 pieces of ginger. When I ask certain requests I get an attitude from the workers. I was even charged a tip when paying with my card and I opted for no tip because I tip this establishment in cash every time I go. I should have left my order unfinished and walked out due to the service I just received. Im not going back to this location.
POKE BAR IS THE GOAT. HANDS DOWN BEST POKE AROUND. Looking for a delicious meal recommendation!?Here:Medium bowl 1/2 brown 1/2 white riceProteins: Salmon, Scallop, spicy porkToppings: edamame, green & white onions, corn, pineapple (throw in some kale if you’re feeling healthy)Sauces: spicy Mayo & house sauceSides: either double crab meat or crab meat & seaweed salad.Masago & furikake on top~$11.50. AMAZINGGGG!!!
This location is close to my office, and after trying and loving the Poke Bar in Alpharetta, I couldnt wait to give this one a try too!Unfortunately I am nursing my annihilated stomach back to health right now. I noticed some things just didnt seem their freshest, and a few tuna pieces had that extra fishy taste that FRESH fish does not have, but I took my chances. -Trump Voice- BIG MISTAKE!I thought the customer service was lacking as well. I kinda felt like I inconvenienced the people who work there that I came in for lunch. Also, the portions seemed smaller than the other location I have visited. I think i will stick to the other one.
I popped into Poke Bar on Roswell road and loved the experience from the first step. The staff behind the counter were so friendly and helpful for this “newbie” and helped me with my choices. You build your own from choices of base (rices or salads), proteins, wet toppings ( like seaweed salad, cucumber salad, masago etc), sauce combinations and then can finish the dish with dry toppings. Food was fresh, delicious, great value and I was in and out in about 5 mins!
I was very disappointed in the bubble tea that I received today. The tea tastes very artificial and was like warm. The boba was of a texture that Ive never experienced and was so unpleasant in both flavor in texture that I spit it out. I didnt try the food, and I cant say that Im inclined to spend my money there again.
I ordered a medium size bowl and my girlfriend ordered a small bowl. But my girlfriends small bowl food is bigger than my bowl. So this place is not honest to the size of the price from my experience. Also, the quality is not as good as I thought a 10 dollars bowl would be. This might be the only place for poke bowl in this area. But you can definitely find a better place better food for the same price.
I use to say this was the best location for Pokebar, but after my latest experience, I will have to disregard that. This is probably the worst location to experience PokeBar. The rice was hard, the fish seemed off, they’re using the Chinese store next door packets of soy sauce, and the server did not know what she was doing or simply didn’t want to be there. If you ask me, the best location is in Chamblee. You’re sure to get good customer service and great food. FYI it’s the first time ever I trashed pokebar after 4 bites. This location is terrible!
Best poke place ever! So this was my first experience trying Poke and I can honestly say after trying several other places after this one that they are still top of my list. The variety of flavors and the freshness of the food, this is still the top of the line for me.
Food is fresh and good value for money, tends to blandness; not much sauce given without asking for extra, and none of the seafood or tofu seems to be marinated at all. Id go back but nothing super exciting. Im sure as with all things, adequate amounts of spicy mayo would compensate for other shortcomings.
I just ordered from Poke Bar for the first time (I used UberEats). The Poke bowl was delicious (I got a small bowl with two orders of salmon) but I also ordered a macha green milk boba tea and it came with no tapioca pearls! It tastes good, but I definitely wanted those tapioca pearls....
Uh, I think NOT! what in the name of all things Poke did I just experience. They do not mix (in a presentable manor) all your items in a bowl together like other poke bowl establishments they mix everything together by hand , the same hand with the same gloves that is used to touch everything else while making your food, in a separate paper tray. I have never seen anything like it honestly. The scoop of rice was very small and the portions of scoop I almost paid for were also small in relation to the price. Nope nope & hell nope.
Accidentally left my wallet here. I had 20-40 in my wallet. There was only one dollar left. When I called them the first time, the call dropped. Before it dropped, they were asking each other What are you going to do? The second time, the girl who was meant to talk to me answered the phone with an obvious attitude. She said there was no possible way for her to watch who went in and out of the bathrooms, also saying that We cant be held accountable for your personal items. Nor did she give me any specifics on how or when she found the wallet. Even though, every 30 minutes, you should be checking the restroom. The lack of customer service and the attitude is appalling. You should never treat a potential customer like that, regardless of what you think of them. I will never be going back there again.
Poke bowls with kale noodles are great. I usually get salmon and spicy tuna. They have hot proteins like chicken and beef too, but I havent personally tried any of them though. I tried the matcha bubble tea but definitely would not get it again. The boba or bubbles are not sweet and difficult to get through the straw. There was so much ice that after several frustrating sips to get the bubbles through the straw, I didnt have any matcha tea left.
Service was the worst today. There was two employees arguing in front of the customers. We all just stared in WOW. The register was broken and both of them were clueless on how to fix it and who to contact for help. Poor customer service, bad representation of the company, and untrained workers.
This place is not all that I expected to be, the food is good but when I walked in there were 3 employees ready to take my order, only one greeted me with a smile and made me felt welcomed and with the other 2 I felt like I being rushed when there was no one behind me ! When I first walked in I made sure I told them it was first time and the other 2 employees didn’t even try explain what I was getting. I’m going to come back one more time but if I don’t have a good experience then I won’t be back.

2022-06-04Says they close at 9pm. Came at 8:40 and they were already closed. Change your hours and stop wasting people’s gas and time. My husband just went there again and it now has. Sign on the door that says be back in 30 minutes.

2022-06-20The Sandy Springs location is close to me, unfortunatly the last few time I have been have not been a good experience. I have seen the early closing on Sunday as well as the sorry I had an emergency and the store is closed sign too, but today I when I came to get carry out 30 min before closing the chairs were up and the staff acted like I was putting them out for coming in. Apparently the online systems were not working and the food the was out at the bar looked like it had been out all day. Im just very disappointed as I used to have good experiences here a few months ago and in the last month, not as much.

2022-06-12I usually always eat here, and it’s pretty great. This time, though, at the time of writing this, I got some bad food poisoning from here. I’ve been dealing with stomach cramps for the past week because of this place, and I’d strongly consider the risks going here, especially if you’re going to try their raw fish.

2022-05-13Won’t be back, the rice was hard and the people that put the food together just slopped everything in the bowl. I would think for 11$ my rice wouldn’t be hard nor would my food be slopped in the bowl. I just don’t understand how the rice is hard, and it’s cooked in a rice cooker. Like literally all the rice was hard. Then on top of that it wasn’t clean inside, and it had a stink smell. Should’ve walked out, but since I was so close to the house I didn’t feel like driving any further.

2022-07-17Downloaded Yelp just to come on here and say how subpar the service was. The food was OK but not worth $16. The only reason you see good reviews is because they offer discounts on the overpriced trash.
Review №7
2022-07-25The ingredients did not taste fresh at all unfortunately. Everything was a little “off” or dry, things you don’t want when eating raw fish.

2020-03-17Friendly service, fresh variety of items and good portions! Spicy salmon, albacore, scallops, salmon, tuna, tiny shrimps to name a few. They even have hot proteins - beef bulgogi, chicken. Kale noodles, brown rice, white rice and/or salad. Combinations are endless! I do think they are sort of pricy tho. 2 large + 1 medium bowls with (cost) extra mango and tamago was well over $40.

2017-05-28I love this concept of sushi on the go. Its a perfect place to grab a healthy lunch or delicious dinner. The place was very bright, clean, and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and patient with us deciding what to get our first time through. The food was exquisite. I got salmon and spicy tuna, and my fiancée got octopus and salmon. It tasted fresh, and the sauces were delicious. I highly recommend this place, and Ill probably stop by for lunch more frequently :-)

2022-07-13If I could give it a 3.5 I would. Good but nothing amazing. Chain poke restaurant. Nice enough servers, decent enough food.
