Poke City in other cities:
If you love sushi, this is the place for you! Poke bowls satisfy my cravings for sushi, while being a fraction of the price. Poke can get pretty expensive, but Poke Citys prices are really good. Most poke places make you pay extra for toppings, but Poke City gives you a lot of choice for the standard price -- the only things that cost extra are avocado and a second scoop of seaweed or masago. They did get rid of their soda fountain a while back, so theres limited drink options.
I have been a loyal supporter of Poke City throughout the pandemic. I recently went there only to find that theres a new owner and many changes. First, the prices increased. Second, only up to 3 sauces can be added and anything more will be extra. Lastly, the serving size has been cut by more than half! My bowl was half empty! Their new large looks like the old small! I will now be going to another poke spot.
Delicious Poké bowl. Had the medium bowl with three proteins; spicy tuna, octopus, and salmon and various vegetable toppings. Fresh ingredients. Food was light and filling. Daughter had tuna, octopus, and salmon. My sis had the Beef bulgogi bowl which was also delicious. Friendly staff and fast service. Will be coming back!
I love poke no matter where I go but a recent visit to this location; it being my second visit, I am not coming back. tiny portions and very little, barely noticeable amount of veggies. on top of that no care for giving good service. this location deserves no stars but that no an option. plus they didnt give me a bag for my order. I had to carry my food out and my plastic ware in my hands with my bowl in the other. just bad.
This used to be my very favorite poke restaurant. Their prices have increased and the portions have drastically decreased. They are so stingy on vegetables. Can you believe it?!? The vegetables?!?!? The bowls are so tiny now. I used to come here once a week and the last few times, I was so disappointed in how my bowls looked that this is the last time. The nice people working here before are gone. Now there are rude uninterested people working. Save your money and try something else.
This place is great for poke! They give a lot for the price compared to other poke places. Everything looks and tastes fresh. The employees are super friendly and quick. They all wear gloves and masks, and they blocked off some tables/chairs to practice social distancing. Ive been going for about a year now, and its always been a good experience.
Very disappointed with my experience. The staff (2 young woman) were very rude and uninterested. As if they were annoyed that we were in the restaurant. The prices have inflated but the portion sizes have extremely downsized. They were very stingy and strategic on how much rice, protein, and sauce was given. I used to really love this place. Unfortunately they have lost a customer.
So based on the reviews I went in the Jhons Creek location. The place was empty and so were most of the options. All the veggies were dry and turning brown so I could get only a couple. For $10 there is not much in my bowl. Probably wont go there again. If the ingredients were clean and fresh I think this could have been an awesome healthy choice. Hopefully I dont get sick.
Went with my family and we got 2 bulgogi bowls + 2 salmon poke bowls. Everything was fresh and tasted good. The staff was really helpful and answered all our questions about the toppings. Really.. the only thing that took long was us deciding what to put on them. Very pleased with our meal!
This was my first time. The person helping me was kind and actually very helpful! I was really excited to have so many options— INCLUDED OPTIONS! The only thing that cost extra was avocado (of course). I didn’t even plan to go there! I wanted Chipotle honestly because I wanted something with good flavor but weird turn of events and I ended up at poke bowl. Anyway, I was so pleasantly shocked at the variety of flavor and texture in my bowl. I feel full, but not heavy. I feel satisfied and not sluggish. I got a punch card too 😁so I’m really excited to try everything else they have to offer. Thanks to the person who helped me! I appreciate your patience and your smile.
Very good service. People there are always nice and the food is always fresh. I’ll be going there more often. I especially love the açaí bowl all the granola and fruit go great together and it’s really refreshing! And there’s one server named Laura and she is the best she has so much patience and I really appreciate that. I recommend this place to any poke bowls lover out there.
Portions were good, the ingredients were fresh, and the sauces are standard. The workers move fast when it is busy. With the poke craze coming to the east coast theres been several poke bars opened throughout the city. While this place is certainly up to par, the portion size and flavor isnt anything special and doesnt set it apart from any other poke bar Ive been to.
Fresh, healthy and delicious. I go here for lunch and get a poke bowl. It is like a burrito bowl but with fresh raw fish and Asian toppings. They have chicken and tofu bowls but who wants that when you have the option of salmon, tuna, spicy tuna and octopus. Very reasonable priced for quantity and quality. A medium bowl runs me about $11. Definitely try a poke bowl of you like sushi.
I come here at least once a week, super friendly staff and amazing flavors that bring poke a good name. I get the large which is a very nice portion size and they have 0 restrictions on the customization of your meal. You can ask for a little of some ingredient or extra for another and they are happy to oblige. I definitely recommend trying poke here whether it is your first time or your 100th time.
I love the idea of sushi for lunch, but who has that kind of time? Enter Poke City! Five minutes in and out and Ive got what I like to think of as a big deconstructed sushi roll! Its also quite tasty as well as quick. As for price, its extremely reasonable for what you get and the staff here has always been friendly and competent.
I was introduced to poke city last year and being a sushi lover I really enjoy this place. Working close by and living close by allows me to visit more often than I need too. I decided to bring my coworkers there for lunch last week, this being one of their first time having a poke bowl. But after what we witnessed, my colleagues and I will not be back. One of the staff seemed like she was having a rough day cause she was not friendly at all. I’ve had many encounters with her, she’s definitely not the friendliest. The employee later on started to cough hysterically, she excused herself and went to the drink area and grabbed a napkin. As she continued to cough she began to bring up phylum into the napkin right there in from of the drink and utensil station. We were utterly disgusted. To make matters worst she went into the restroom with her gloves on, the same gloves she just used to prepare our food. The employee came out of the bathroom and continued to serve food with those very gloves. As healthcare workers we could not believe this, apparently sense is not as common as we all think. Please educate the young Asian lady on the importance of proper hygiene.
This is my go to “ I don’t want to make dinner”, “I forgot to eat dinner”, and “I’m running late, where do I eat dinner?” place. It’s quick, healthy, high quality, and great service. I love getting the small bowl with rice, ahi tuna, veggies, and spicy mayo! Also they had six foot social distancing stickers on the floor and had staff wearing masks on the first visit during covid. Please check them out!
Great place to try out decent poke bowl. I have a high standard when it comes to my poke. I first tried poke in Hawaii. Everytime I go back to Hawaii I eat poke for almost every meal. Poke city offers good quality poke which is somewhat different from the Hawaiian poke. Poke city has more toppings you can choose and flavorful sauces. Hawaiian poke is simple and fresh while poke city offers colorful flavors. I am glad to see more poke places opening in ATL.
I came here w a friend today and tried a Kona burrito and a poke bowl. The food was delicious, w sauces just the right mix of sweet and salty. The fish was fresh and tasty. We also tried their cold pressed juice, watermelon water. I could see that it really was 100% watermelon juice as it tasted exactly like it. My friend enjoyed the food as well. At the end I ended up buying one more burrito to take it home for my mom. Had a very nice dinner here!
This was the 1st time Ive eaten here. This place is excellent. Kind of a mix between thai and Hawaiian food. I had a medium bowl with 3 proteins. The spicey tuna, salmon and scallops. Very very good. Dont be afraid to give it a try. I just ate here again. OMG, this place is super fantastic. The price is a little high but you will be in flavor town. Every combination Ive had so far is a winner.
Poke in Johns Creek! I know its the trend these days so I wanted to give it a try. I really wanna give them a good review but Id rather go to actual sushi place to have sashimi and nigiri with salad on the side. I had spicy tuna bowl but the quantity and the texture of the fish wasnt what I expected. They are doing 50%off for grand opening but its a bit pricey without the promotion.
Oh my gosh, a poke place even closer to my home.I wrote up a long review for a place in Lawrenceville. But thats a hike for me unless Im at work. This place is clean, ticked into a little set of places in front of the larger anchor stores right off Peachtree and McGinnis Ferry.I get the large bowl but only one scoop of rice. They have all the typical proteins you get with sushi plus octopus and tofu. The spicy tuna was a bit spicier than the sushi rolls I usually get. The tuna and salmon are both cut into bigger chunks than you get with sushi.I had them put the ponzu sauce on my rice. Then I had ponzu and spicy sweet sauce on the proteins and toppings. They have a couple of different mayonnaise based sauces.I loaded up on the toppings, radishes are awesome; they had kale that was chopped very finely.Anyway, its a fun place to get what I think of as deconstructed sushi but better.
The whole experience in this place was horrible !! The white rice was very dry and not fresh, it was hard as stone. when I complained the young lady said Rice not supposed to be tasty. The young guy replaced the rice but the fact she answered me this way, I will never come back here! We are paying for this, and we should receive a tasty meal and a good service!
I tried the acai bowl for the first time today and it blew my mind! I tried the city base, it had acai berry, blueberry, strawberry, banana, with coconut water and I put the honey oat on top. I was very happy because I could put unlimited toppings on my acai bowl! So, I tried bee pollen, chia seeds, cacao nibs, and coconut thread. I feel very healthy after eating here and I am also very full. I am definitely coming back again. I am so happy about poke city !

2022-04-17I came here from Montana to stay the night on a layover. I came to the nearest poke store I could find. I walked in and I immediately was greeted with a pink haired employee and was literally the nicest most genuinely passionate person I have ever met. The food was incredible. My taste buds completely were overwhelmed with flavor. I came with a friend and she said that there were enough hand washing stations to make the world a cleaner place. Um, it is by far the most up to key excellencies place Ive ever been in her grammar is not good, as an immigrant from Malaysia, but somehow formulated English words because of the magic of this restaurant. Overall, I would give this place 5000000/10.

2022-07-23My husband and I ordered two poke burritos, the Kona and the volcano. Very disappointed. The cost for each burrito was $14.50. the size of the burritos was tiny and not made properly. Ton of rice, barely a scoop of anything else and added sauces that were not asked for or in the description. Save yourself the money and head over to Sweet Tuna at the Halcyon. Youll get more for your money, and better quality. They dont do poke burritos, but I would have gone the extra miles to get a poke bowl if I knew I was going to get this.

2022-07-08I just went again in a long while...and I used to have it for lunch everyday. But the prices have skyrocketed. For a large bowl, I was charged almost $19 dollars???!!!! Wow. It used to be $12 and change. The portions havent changed either, in fact, the lady serving me was giving a tiny scoop of the protein and was not even filling yp that tiny scoop. What a rip off. Sad to say...I may not come back. I dont like greediness 🤷♀️

2020-02-06Eaten here several times for lunch now. I usually get the Beef Bulgogi or Spicy pork small bowl with brown rice. They give you a lot for the small so its plenty to eat. The ingredients are always fresh and there are a ton of extras you can add. Also they give you a small free cup of miso soup if you get one of the meat proteins. Love this place. They have a rewards card they stamp you with as well. If you enjoyed this review please be sure to click the like button. Thank you!

2021-04-30Still consistently Quick service with great food! Make the poke bowls like you want with the ingredients you choose. If you like salmon, try the Waikiki bowl. About the same $ as other fast food but better quality, very filling. Definitely a go to place! Been there >40 times, consistent excellent food quality and clean! Remains a clean place with great food and friendly quick staff. Amazingly consistent. East to get to go!

2022-04-01Over priced, food portion is very small except the rice. It seems like the server is not willing to put food in customers bowl. None of the scoop was full even when their menu said a full scoop. Will never came back again.
