Parking is always horrific, not Publix fault it’s the customers!! They drive in attack mode like it’s the Indy 500 and they own the spaces. This Publix is clean, fast and mostly always stocked. Customer svc is mostly good. We shop here often after church. Would recommend it to anyone needing anything! Nice place!
Parking lot is nice, lots of shade trees and lanes are large enough. Lots of friendly people to check you out (Kroger is set up for most people to check themselves out), great meat department that will do custom cuts and deli items freshly sliced to grab and go. Produce department is small but sufficient.
Xavier in the deli made me The Bomb foot long ultimate sub on white. I was very happy with my service and my food was handled with care. The sandwich toppings were fresh and the bread was soft just like it should be. I dont know what happened at the one in lavista rd a couple weeks ago but had to come all the way to Glenwood just to get the perfect sub. Thanks Xavier 😊
Im giving one star because thats the lowest I can give. I am an individual that really appreciates Publix and their companys standards. This store is clean and well stocked. The low rating for this Publix is based off of the Delis extremely poor performance. We literally waited on line for 43 minutes to obtain one of those wonderful Publix subs. The employee retained a poor attitude. This is perhaps to the Deli department not staffing properly to handle the customer traffic. Todays experience had me feeling as if I was in a Winn Dixie or a Krogers and not a Publix!
On 04/02/22, I purchased an online order for $29.99. 16 pc fried chicken, 2 pks 12 rolls an three 16 oz sides. It had to be 24 hrs in advance so okay. Thats what was on Publix website. On 04/03/22 , my husband goes to the Glenwood Publix to pick up the order. This is the only Publix we shop. He stands in the on-line order pickup section of the deli. For 10 mins. Finally a female employee goes to him and snaps, can I help you. He then explains that he want to pick up his order. She dont know anything so she walks away and send another employee to help. They have no record of a order. The young man puts together the online deal but they didnt want to give my husband the rolls. So he takes what he is given but no receipt to show purchased. The tell my husband to go to a cashier and let them know its paid for. Cashier dont believe my husband so she call a manager. My husband had to put up with the unprofessional unorganized set of people. We paid for the meal when we ordered online and no one would check the system to make sure. They just treated my husband like a potential criminal. I AM DONE WITH PUBLIX.
Absolute favorite place for pickup. Shoppers are my only issue. The only 2 pickup spots they have are often used as regular parking spots. Shoppers please stop being lazy and selfish utilizes the other 50 parking spots made available for you to park and shop , not the pickup parking spots
This the second time I ordered a cake and it was not ready the time I put down to pick up ! And I always put my order in a whole week early and they still wait to the day of my pick up date for them to call me an hour before my pick up time to tell me they don’t have the toy I pick smh this will be the last time I order from this one !
First time at this store and so not impressed. Waited to be served at the deli counter for what seemed like a life time. Thought perhaps I was in the wrong line but was assured by another customer that I was in the right place. One staff was making sandwiches and another staff was busy filling what appeared to be phone-in orders and one staff I have no clue what they were doing. 3 people working and line wrapped around the aisle. I left. Life is way too short to spend it in line waiting to be served a piece of chicken when I could go home and heat up a can of soup 😂Im just saying. I got issues. What about you? )i(#igotissues #yaminah89
I know this neighborhood is gentrifying but typically the experience, service and (frankly) cleanliness are sub-par in... ahem... ungentrified neighborhoods. Publix seems to be the only business who maintains their standard regardless of location. This Publix is an oasis in a food desert. It is everything weve come to expect from them. YES PUBLIX!!
I needed some specific items for dinner last night (8/19/21) around 6:00 pm. The store was full to the brim of customers, but also of employees. It was just like old times, except we were all wearing masks, and the assistance I received from the sushi chef and the chicken roasting chef was stellar. It was a joy to shop with their help! And my purchases made me the star of the evening at home. Thank you for great customer service and delicious food!!!!
I definitely would not recommend this bakery. I ordered a specific character cake from the website for a themed birthday party 3 weeks in advance. The morning of, I received a call that that cake decor was not in stock. I asked for the bakery manager (who was a very rude and disrespectful woman) to do the cake without the toppers. To say the least, it was a very poor imitation of what I wanted. The customer service kept referring me back to the bakery manager who probably should find a new job where she doesn’t interact with any humans.
I have been coming to this Publix for 18 years and have had good experiences with the food selection and have loved all the employees throughout this time. I, though, don’t want to go here anymore (even though it is in my neighborhood) because the parking lot and green space is now consistently full of trash. There is trash everywhere each time I go. Makes me feel like the grocery store itself is not clean.
I love Publix!!! Everyone and I do mean everyone is ALWAYS SO PLEASANT!!! It is truly always a pleasure!!! I was at this location for a birthday cake. The associate at the bakery who assisted was very helpful, professional, and went above and beyond to help me. I really wish I knew her name because she deserves to be recognized. Ill be back soon!
I had an awesome experience yesterday when I came to this location. After going to 3 other drug stores when I got to your store which was about to close and that the prescription wouldnt be ready until tomorrow. After I told him that I needed to take the medicine tonight he agreed to fill my order. I felt overjoyed because he didnt have to do this and most people as it gets closer to quitting time the sooner the better. I would like to comes the entire staff for being outstanding with my order.
I ordered 3 deli subs for pick up by 8:35 pm. I left my home at 8:25 as I live 8 minutes away from the publix. The subs werent ready until after 9 p.m. the cashier then took 10 minutes to ring up 7 items (including items for a combo). This was the worst experience ever at this Publix !! I have decided that going during their busy time is the best although super crowded service is extremely quicker.
Hello everyone this is a place where the peoples are very friendly, amazing, good hearted peoples that are very helpful, I was looking for a BABY-Ruth candy bar and they looked on all the ends of the register too help me find one but sadly it was none too found ☹ .When I was getting ready to check out they walked up to me and asked me was I ready to check out so helpful, so sweet .went by the vegetables section associates was very helpful and it was well stocked matter of fact the all the shelves were super full ,well stocked. The store is located in a security area bright lights.next door they are building some brand new homes, must ride by too see they maybe Apartments homes please ride by and see. THANKS GOD FOR THE CHANGE!!! Up the street going east there is a meat market it takes EBT MY DAUGHTER GOES in there all the times. I dont eat meat my self. Publix Super Market is an amazing place too shop for the whole family. Oh boy, let me tell you that they make the best sub sandwiches in the whole wide world those are so amazing associates, professional sandwiches maker, they all ways have a smile on their faces. They will always be a (5) 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The 2 Publix delis near my house has decided to be out of fried catfish for months and I decided to go to the one near my job. Number 1, they have it cooked so I dont have to call ahead, and they were willing to make more when they didnt have enough. And number 2, the lady serving it up was super nice. Ill take the longer trip home for that.
Why does this location NEVER have regular flavored boxes of fried chicken during the dinner hours (4pm til 8 pm) yet has dozens of MOJO flavored baked chickens and non breaded hot wings? Ive literally gone 5 days in a row at various times in the afternoon and this obviously popular product is never available.
This store has went down on all levels. Its ALWAYS hot and sometimes warm inside, stains and sticky stuff all on the floors near fruit area. This store is never clean. Cashiers are not as friendly and its ALWAYS crowded with 3 to 4 lines open. The fruits in containers are never fresh or cut correctly.
Great fast service to all of the team over at the deli with their delicious subs. The only thing that I dislike that Publix does is that they throw away perfectly good food when there are so many homeless people homeless shelters that could use a nutritious meal and help. Other than that I recommend this store.
This is a small store and always seems to be busy, like always. I will say they keep the store clean and most of the shelves stocked throughout the day; the only item they do not/can not keep stocked is the milk.Their sub section has a line most of the day per most Publix but the employees are always nice.I was hoping they would build a bigger location in the same parking lot adjacent to the current building but I doubt that’s what they’re building there. Especially since the just built that huge one at Madison Yards. Sometimes I’ll drive the extra 6 minutes there for a wider selection and less crowds.
I went to this Publix today to get a sub and I just have to shout out their deli guy DJ. He was one of the best workers Ive encountered at any publix or grocery store. He was fast, efficient and he had an amazing attitude. I would definitely come back to order from him again.
It was extremely busy. My first time in. Mostly stocked the bread was low stocked. My body was craving fruit and it hit the spot! Picked up some chicken didnt retake anything out. It was fresh the crust was super thick and hard but decent good. Ill visit again Im sure.
I am so upset with this Publix. I ordered a medium basket for my boss on Sunday to pick up on Tuesday. Because he is having surgery on Wednesday. I get here to pick up and was told they dont have any medium baskets only small baskets. So, the lady whos in produce calls a supervisor over and tells me someone else was supposed to have made it. When I asked why didnt anyone call me. I am so mad because I drove over here from my job. I am walking distance to Publix in Madison Yards. But I dont like that one. I do all of my business at this one. He didnt even offer to make a small one for me. I had to ask him could they make me a small one. He said it would take 20 minutes. So, I said just forget. This is no way to do business. I understand running out of things. But at least give the customer a call. The sorry doesnt cut it for me. Because now I dont have a gift to give my boss for his surgery tomorrow. Thanks Publix for ruining my gift to him.
Im going to have to find a new store to shop for food. I really love this store, everyones friendly, produce is great, sales are great and the location for me is perfect, BUT.....for the last month or so I see ROACHES in there. I cant buy boxes of food here and risk bringing home ROACHES! Sorry E-Lake, ya lost one.
Most convenient place to shop. Conveniency over prices, however.Friendly floor workers and cashiers. Prices are typically not always bargained for but granted, youll find what you need at the time you most appreciate it. Always fresh and healthy options.Youll maybe find yourself like myself, often going into store for 2 items and leave with 20 too many. So please budget responsibly. Its Publix. Dont a la carte your shopping experience.
Not bad considering its tucked right smack dab in the middle of the hood. Even the trademark Publix neatly organized/stacked product shelves are kept up to standard. Be wary of going to and from the parking lot. They do staff a security guard at the front entrance that occasionally scans the environs but never lose sight of where this store is located and always lock your car and watch your back
I love the Publix Gummi worms but had difficulty finding them. I not a great fan of Gummi bears or the sour neon worms. My local Publix The Centre at Panola did not have them and they were out for about 3 weeks. As a matter of fact I check with my local Publix to see when the Publix gummy worms will be back in stock and I was told they were cut. I even tried my backup Publix on Flat shoals Rd and they were out of the Publix gummy worms as well. Today decided to called my local Publix and my backup Publix store and they were still out. I love the Publix Gummi worms but Im not going to drive all over creation to find them. I decided to call the store on Glenwood Avenue and I spoke with a customer service rep and the manager Matt I guess and he checked for me and told me that they had three gummy worms left. This store is a little out of my way but it is close to my job. After work I went and got my gummy worms and a few other items. The cashier that checked me out was very friendly and I had a great experience there. Kudos Matt I really appreciate your effort 😊!
This would be the only place to shop for food if I was wealthy but since Im not I go a few times a month and they never seem to fail. Always nice and cordial and I find what I came for but in the deli if Chris is there have him fix your sandwich. I had the BEST sandwich ever last night keep up the Great work.
Ty, the young gentleman who brought out the items to my car for online order pickup was very professional and polite. He helped me put the items in the car, asked me about my weekend, and wished me a happy holiday. Ty is the epitome of courtesy and efficiency that I have come to expect from Publix.I like the clean, well-lit, and secure parking area.
Out of a lot of stuff that Im looking for and had a coffee bag that was I am guessing was opened and returned to the store back in the shelf. It was a 10 oz coffee back and there were literally like 3 oz missing from it like the original person made the coffee for a week, decided they didnt like it, returned it to the store and then they put it back on the shelf lol
I worked for publix and I know how they are suppose to operate. Even though this store is bigger than the one I worked at it is no excuse for not providing primer service. Employees do not speak and the lines are usually longer than they should be. Based on my work experience with publix all employees should greet and/or speak within certain feet( I cant remember if its 6-10 might be less) Dont get me started on the cashiers. Anyway the experience is not terrible but could be alot better. Should be no excuse due to area or anything else.
Better than the bakery at Publix in Conyers at 212 and 138 which burned cookies that I ordered and sold them to me not wanting to correct their error when they finished baking and seeing that the cookies were burned nor caring about the customer. This store (Glenwood) have baked them twice with no problems. The bakery staff is very friendly and attentive to their customers,Great Job!
The looped sound track playing very loudly is Music from the 80s I was told by the, now, former manager. He acknowledged it was too loud. But the next times I went in it was jacked up to the point I wanted to run out before checking out. Just leave the cart and go. The latest manager--the change over was about a week ago mid morning--told me that he couldnt do anything about it. So, about a day ago I sent an email to corporate, Atlanta. That would be the second time. Otherwise the employees are helpful and the meat and produce depts. are above average.
Its Publix. What can I say? I love Publix. Im giving them five stars cuz the service is always great, theres always a good deal to find, and the store associates are always so friendly and helpful. The only thing that could have made my shopping experience better would have been Bruno Mars, singing to me as I walk through the doors. But, its whatever I cant take points off of that so ...yeah theyre great.
The Publix at East Lake is a great choice for anyone looking for a large selection of organics, produce, dairy, cereals, fresh fish, and meat etc. I love to go here for the Publix sub sandwiches, the deli meat is always fresh!! I tried the new deli sandwich with fried french onions and bbq sauce it was great. This is my favorite choice for shopping after a walk in the park on McAfee. This park also has a lake and walking trail around it.
Its a grocery store, so you should expect to find the foods youre looking for. Not the case here. Publix is supposed to be upscale and nice, but their selection is atrocious, and their prices arent much better. Friendly employees and a few unique specialty items do not make up for the dearth of overall choices. Lines also tend to be overly long. With their prices youd expect them to spend the money to be fully staffed.I only shop here when its on my way home, and I only need a few things. Otherwise I go to Kroger.
This Publix has a terrible staff. I worked at a Publix for years and hold the employees to the same level that I had to perform at, and these dont even come close. There are a few employees that are not only competent but also very polite and a pleasure to speak to, but overall this place is poorly managed and the service is mediocre for a grocery store that prides itself on customer service. The deli is without a doubt the worst offender, and has been unpleasant every time Ive ordered a sandwich or gotten lunch meat.We placed an order with them online for two sandwiches that were scheduled to be ready in half an hour. We arrived a few minutes early and wandered the store. After several minutes we asked and were rudely told that they were working on them, otherwise they would be in the pickup station. We ended up waiting an additional 45 minutes and when we checked back they were cleaning up the deli, not even having started our order. At this point, we just left. For clarity, this store is close to my home and Ive been shopping here for years. It took many small annoyances and the events that transpired tonight to finally convince me to completely stop coming here and leave this review. If you just need to stop in for one or two things every now and again its not bad, but I wouldnt recommend making this your regular store. Find a better Publix at another location that has a properly trained and managed staff.
Best publix I’ve been too, all the employees have great energy and you can tell they are trying and happy or trying to be, it’s genuine. Quint (sorry if I’m spelling names wrong) and man that starts with a D (feel like I got the spelling wrong so don’t want to butcher it, so so sorry) in the delly were amazing! I came on super bowl night at around 7:40 and his energy was amazing and helped and joked with me like we were friends and got Quint to help get me a cart because I didn’t have one and Quint was super helpful and willing and kind. Shout out to Shawn the cashier for having amazing smiling energy and super friendly and quick and shout out to Matthew while he was getting carts he stopped just to tell me to have a goodnight. Wow this team together is a amazing, they all deserve a raise. Havnt dealt with customer service that superior in a long time! Especially on a “holiday” type night. 5 stars because of them.
While I was putting my groceries on the line at the register an employee who was a bagger suddenly popped up behind me asking if I need any help and said no Im OK. Then proceeded to ask me was I married? At this point was was uncomfortable and simply said I have someone and left it as that. Then he said I like your shoes??? The guy talked like he was high, Im not a regular and I was here out of curiosity because my mother told me about this publix...but after this experience I dont think I will be returning and will continue to support my local walmart.
Yolanda made the worst Publix sub Ive ever had to date. Mainly because she had an attitude and didnt want to make the sandwich (it was a long line) and she threw the ingredients on the sub in a haphazard order everything was falling off so she smashed in the paper and tried to cut it anyway instead attempting to fix it.
Staff are always friendly and helpful and even more so earlier this evening when another customer was acting strange. The staff picked up on it, and the security guard was on top of it. The customer left without incident and it really made me glad that the folks there are watching out for people. Thank you.
The sandwich line needs some serious attention. The line is always wrapped around to the drink isle and will take at least a half hour to get out with the sandwich. I tried going here for them years ago and stopped because the line is that terrible.. decided to try again today after 3 years and its even worse now. SadEdit: came here today with one person if front of me. I still waited 30 mins. Looks like people doing call in orders have the lines tied up worse than before. So sad.
Always well lit, clean with friendly staff. The Publix Deli makes some of the best sub sandwiches youll ever eat. Made fresh to order while you watch. Today I bought the Ultimate sub with roast beef, ham and turkey. It was delicious as always. See the attached photo.
Ive been coming to this Publix for 5+ years and I have never had a bad experience here. The employees are always nice and friendly. The bakery is the best! I always buy my cakes from here for any occasion and they are always presentable and delicious! Keep it up Publix !!!👍
I love getting hot soups, fresh seafood, and sushi from this Publix. The Coca-Cola products are twice as expensive as Walmart. The same six-pack is around $6, after taxes, Walmart is about $3. They offer recycling services. I bring plastic bags for recycle. There are recycling bins outside.
As a senior going there during the hours set aside for us....I found the store had not been restocked and I really was disappointed in how the store manager was treating his employees....He had a young lady down on her knees cleaning floors...First of all the floors did not appear to be dirty and secondly that was horrible on her knees (cement floor). She appeared to have had some challenges so she probably did not know how to speak up for yourself look for someone to take advantage of that is Despicable. This incident along with them for shelves have caused me to give it second thought about shopping there....
Horrible Customer Service especially from the pharmacy. The employees wait until the line is long to acknowledge the customers. I have seen it happen to others, and it has happened to myself. The pharmacy needs an attitude check, and also a lesson in greeting customers.
This review is for the deli. The subs specifically. Every pick up order I’ve done was messed up. Every in store situation was terrible where they have a stack of people in the back and maybe 1 person making subs. Clearly they don’t care. Moving so slow that I age while I’m in line. If there are three people in line, it may take up to 20 mi utes to get a sub.
I always experience good customer service, for the most part, when I shop here. The store associates do not run away from you when they see you. They embrace your presence and go out of their way to assist you. That is your trademark. Most Publix stores are a cut above other grocerers. Keep up the good work.
I started going to this Publix location after a series of bad experiences at a location closer to me. Each time I visit East Lake Publix it is a great visit and the employees are extremely friendly and helpful. The thing that I like most is that my online deli orders (sandwiches mainly) are ready on time and correctly made. This is an excellent Publix!
Its not the Publix on Ponce where the staff are welcoming and competent. The layout is the same and the best thing about it is it does not stink like Kroger. However, for my little money, I prefer a more pleasant shopping experience but I got what I came for. .. Zip code is everything in America.

2022-04-03I love Publix there products are great. However at this location most of the staff can be rude. I had an fairly unpleasant experience at the deli. I got multiple sandwiches one of the associates of the one fixing my sandwich kept making smart remarks about how many sandwiches we had and the lady fixing mine was dry and when I asked for tomatoes on one side of the sandwich because of one being allergic. the associates response was why would you do that. It wasnt even your place to say that. It wasnt what she said but how she said it. And Im only writing this review because I feel as if just because were in the neighborhood thats predominantly black does it mean that we have to have poor customer service. I can go to any of the other establishments and Publix on other side of town and theyre pleasant theyre not rude never have a bad experience. when you speak to them associates they speak back. so Im not sure if yall aware of whats going on in your store but customer service has to get better. People already talk about us as being African Americans of not having good customer service and stuff most of the time and were highly stereotype and it has to change.

2022-02-20Excellent grocery store, probably the best in the area. Service has always been great, and the only times Ive had trouble finding things have been because of issues beyond their control. My only complaint is that their meat section is fairly limited in the beef and poultry areas, but its balanced by a wide range of seafood and pork options.

2022-05-31When I tell you they blew my mind on my daughters cake I was extremely happy including all her family and my now 3 year old. Normally Id go thru a more professional bakery for a tier cake but they did a great job for a better price. Thank you thank you again.. I posted pictures of her MAGICAL MYSTICAL UNICORN 🦄🦄 CAKE ❤️🥰🥰

2022-03-31What you need to know about *this* Publix is their sandwich department. Being from New York, I have come to miss NY style deli sandwiches. While I have yet to find a place that can duplicate the Bodega/Corner Store goodness that is a Baconeggncheese, Publix is almost spot on with the gustatory goodness that is a NY style deli. They even get the chicken cutlet sandwich right. Lest you think its this particular location that gets it right...its my preference location, the one on flat shoals in Decatur does a good sandwich too. If you know, you know.

2022-04-11Publix where shopping is always a pleasure - This is not just their tagline; Publix is consistent with making it true from store to store!! I shop at 4 or 5 different Publix Stores depending on where I am or going to. Never had a bad experience. Staff and associates are always courteous and helpful.

2022-03-22They always late for the subs when I order them online. So you might as well come at least 30 mins later than you ordered it for. Besides that it is a fantastic grocery store. It is big and has a diverse selection of just about anything you can think of and the clerks are so nice and helpfulm I definitely recommend here.

2022-06-22Perhaps there is too much produce stocked for the volume of shoppers because lots of the produce had apparently been sitting for a while (like celery, carrots, containered salads, etc). Its not moving off shelves fast enough. Took me a while to find vegetables that had not been sitting in liquid for an obviously long amount of time.

2020-01-28I just love going to Publix and this place is simply another example. They aspire to achieve excellence when it comes to customer satisfaction. We know Glenwood Road is known for many things but this store is one of the good things about that street. I enjoy their Sub so much because it is almost the same no matter what store you go to.

2022-03-07I love the location its so convenient but I only went it for some wings ear the deli. They were fresh and just got finished so my timing was perfect. They associate can usually be a bit busy and sometimes they like to take they time to ask you If you need anything like they dont feel like serving folk but il take a moment to let them recenter themselves instead of cursing out a customer because of any issues whether it happend with the last customer or if its personal. Take that minute and then provide me with respectable service I can appreciate. Thank you

2022-06-17Publix had bone in rib eye steaks, I asked the assistant manager to cut my steaks 1.5 thick. Well he did he also took it upon himself to separate the bone, I said why, thats the way we sell it. Then why call it bone in meat. So I told him to eat it.
