My family are about 2yrs into this area and from day 1 when we stepped into this publix we felt at home. This publix is the only publix (or any other big grocery chain) that gives you the feel of a small town and very personable. Majority of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They remember your family and give a caring vibe. Other publix locations should use the staff from this location as an example.
Publix of LaGrange is the number one store for buying quality groceries as well and as buying lunch at the Deli place. The service is always professional and the Publix employees always friendly and very helpful. Publix Pharmacy is also a very good place for filling medical prescriptions or getting vaccines.Lastly Publix is a great place to get a part-time job and they are always looking for dependable new employees. Give Publix a try if you are in need of groceries or just a great hot meal!
Deli: I love the deli subs at publix, but unfortunately there is always a long line and not enough staff to handle the demand. It took about 20 minutes to get my sub.The guy working the subs name was Patrick and he did a great job and tried to remain as positive as he could despite the rush. This guy tries his best, but he just needs management to schedule some help. This could have easily been a better shopping experience, if management had better scheduled its staff.
If I could give less I would. I transferred my 5yr old son’s diabetic supplies here from a Covington Publix. I would get two boxes of everything except the insulin. Today this store gave me one box of everything that’s only going to last me two weeks. The woman in the pharmacy acted like they didn’t care. One of them told me to transfer back to my old Publix that’s an hour away. All the store managers did was keep saying I’m sorry. Nothing was fixed or even attempted to be fixed. I’m sorry doesn’t fix things. Once you run things through insurance, they won’t pay for things a second time. Those are who work in the pharmacy know these things and play stupid when customers know the truth. This store is awful!!!
By far the worst publix deli I have ever been to, only one person manning the sub counter every time with people there but almost looking busy in the background resulting in 25-30 minutes til you get a sandwich. The person served someone who left and came back before me, I wish I knew that was an option it would have saved me a lot of annoyance. Will not be back, gonna drive 10 extra minutes to a much better Publix.
IF YOU PREPAY FOR SUBS, it is not uncommon for them to be stolen - store manager, Naz, informed me when I had been there for 40 mins after pickup time. He assured me that he assigned the task to a dedicated associate (seems he was too important to help his team, hands on) After waiting over an hour, altogether, I left. It took the person 15 minutes & still only 2 sandwiches made.Instead of honoring my time or redeeming their failing system, Naz allowed a their to have 3 free sandwiches & the away 2. I got the money refunded & am now at the jonquil store getting my order in a timely manner.
Staff was helpful, as usual. Selections were excellent, as usual. It really is a great place for groceries but some items are pricey, as usual. Best fresh fruit and vegetables, and its the only place for thick rib-eye steaks. In-store butcher is a nice change of pace. The only other butcher thats worth the trip is at (small shudder) Food Depot. As busy as they were at Publix the store looks neat and clean and that is the clincher for me.
The people are rude. They were not paying attention to me or my husband. We were getting food from the deli hot line and the lady was talk to the other employees and not paying attention to us. We ordered to quick bites and it took her 15 minutes to put it in a bag because she was talking. Then she couldnt figure out how to put the stickers in the machine, so that took another 5 minutes. So our shopping experience was not a pleasure.
The store is very clean, but unfortunately the bakery is horrible. I ordered a cake to celebrate being 1 year cancer free. This was a very special celebration for me. I showed up 5 minutes early and the cake was not ready yet. When it was finally ready this is what they give me. The letters are crooked, one corner is square, the other is rounded. It looks like no thought or effort was put into this. When I spoke with the assistant manager her response: Well its a cookie cake so they cant scrap off the icing, but I can give you a discount . I left the cake, got in my car and cried my eyes out. I know this may seem dumb, but I have worked so hard these past 2 years fighting cancer. I trusted Publix to make this special cake and they completely failed. Not only did they fail but they didnt offer any solutions. Their district manager reached out and offered to provide a complimentary cake for my next special moment... but unfortunately this was a special moment that I will not get back.
Mike In the produce/fruit department was absolutely the best. They were out of strawberries and he offered to cut them up for me right then and there. Talk about great customer service. Will definitely tell everyone I know to come to this publix. Super clean and great people.
I had a optometrist appointment later so had a free extra minutes, and on the way to the restroom I saw a lovely planter with a fair price. After my vision appointment I returned for the pot and had friendly chat with a personable lady in the bakery department as I picked up a few breakfast items.
I shop at Publix even though the prices are a little higher because the customer service is great. The meat and produce dont look like leftovers. Stores are always clean. And when I travel, I always find it easy to shop because all the stores are stocked the same. Keep it up Publix!!Update: Im not sure what is going on with Publix supply chain..finding many Publix brand products out of stock. Butter, half and half.. and saltine crackers. Not finding the same problem at Ingles.
Jo made me 4 sandwiches. All different. She was so very kind and patient while I made my order. She was extremely professional. She even thanked me for being nice. She deserves to be awarded for her work. She seems to take pride in what she does. Customer service with Mrs. Jo was wonderful!!
I admi that I work at this store but I will say in heartbeat that all of us at Publix at Macland Pointe work hard to truly make shopping a pleasure! Our manages care deeply for the customers and their concerns as well as us and its reflected in the way we truly do try to make shopping a pleasure!
Waited for 20 minutes to get a sub made at the Deli. With 2 people in front of me one of which had at least 7 sandwich orders. The lady making the sandwiches was very slow at making each sandwich one at a time. More people should work the Deli during rush hours (breakfast, lunch and dinner). By the time I made my order there were at least 5 people in line behind me and I heard a worker say she had 8 phone-in orders to do.
The Deli NEVER has any meat available when I come here. I always have to wait an extremely long time to get my sandwich. They prioritize online orders before waiting in person customers. The ingredients are always low or out of stock. I enjoy the sandwiches but the experience is never a good 1.
This is my neighborhood Publix but my first visit. I dont know what took me so long to shop at this Publix but this will now be my permanent store to shop. The young lady at the seafood counter was superb. Its nice to see people whom give off the impression that they enjoy their job. It was a great experience. I recommend this store to anyone!
I made a 1:00 appointment at the Pharmacy for a Moderna booster vaccine. I arrived at 1:00 and they put in the same queue with walk-ins. My appointment seemed to make no difference. There were still people ahead of me when I left at 1:30 without getting the shot. I would have planned differently if I had known it was first-come first-served.
Always a pleasant experience with wonderful people working there. Super friendly and very helpful!! The only thing I would suggest is for the staff to learn how to bag groceries. I usually have to get three extra bags as I leave and re-bag them when I get to my car. Other than that it is the best Publix I have ever been to❤️
The grocery and store itself is always very clean and well stocked! Employees are friendly and very helpful. Now the subs’ station... I ordered online for two subs pretty basic as well. My husband goes to pick up the order it said 6:40 was the earliest time of pickup at my checkout screen time of 6pm. Husband goes into the store and two employees are arguing Over who is going to make the online orders that have not been made at all yet. Finally a woman who was not on that particular order line comes over and makes our two subs. I only asked for oil & vinegar for my sub as a condiment and of course there isn’t any packets in the bag at all. I just hope they figure it out, it seems to have gotten worse over the years ordering pub subs from this Publix.
If I could leave 0 stars I would!!!! Sabrina at the pharmacy just treated me like a pill seeking addict!!!! She called to verify my prescription, no problem, then proceeded to make her own suggestions and assumptions because I work at the facility that the Dr. who wrote my prescription works for. Never verified that Im a PATIENT also, which is not unusual at all. The fact that the date was missing on the script is completely understandable, I have no problem getting a new prescription written Monday. I am offended regarding the implications that were made otherwise. I have NEVER felt so humiliated or treated as such...
Ordered online and received confirmation number for order. First person to acknowledge me went to the back to look for my order and never came back. 2nd person tried very diligently but ended up having to call the manager. While still waiting the manager showed up to speak with her employee and was blindsighted not knowing I was the customer. How could she, I never received order cancelation e-mail or call. Manager said I could always opt to get fried chicken or ribs real healthy nstead of baked chicken or wait 50 minutes for a rotisserie chicken. I then waited another 10 minutes with customers behind to change my order, but nobody came. I dropped my basket and walked out. You cant make this stuff up.
This review is all because of their Deli people, every time I get half a pound of turkey or pastrami I also get a side of attitude. I approach the employee with hello, how are you...I get no reply back, just how can I help you...I dont even get to finish what I am ordering and they already start walking away from you, explains why they get it wrong so many times. I say thank you and have a good day, nothing but a look with an attitude. With so many people out of work, youd think they can fire people who obviously dont wanna be there and hire someone who actually wants to work in customer service. I work in customer service and I cringe every time I go there, I actually sometimes just avoid it because I dont want to deal with it...
I like this store but its really towards the bottom in comparison to other Publix locations imo. And the wings in the deli department are horrible. The breading isnt right for some reason and no variety. Every time I go I have to ask which is which.... Can you just label them. I also dont want to order and have them made while Im there. The last time I did that....she drowned then in sauce.....I threw them away.
Super lazy employees. Worst customers services I’ve ever received at any Publix. And I’m a frequent shopper at all the Publix stores. Hands down the worst I’ve ever encountered will not be revisiting this location every again. I’ll much rather stop at the Kroger right across the street.
Lack of Covid safety. Please beware this store lets folks in without masks ... If you shop her know you run the risk of COVID infection. I counted 12 people without masks on Sunday 11/15 .. two days after the US reported over 180000 infections in one day. This store would be call a Super Spreader store ...
Great staff when it comes to the meat department and cash registers, but when it comes to the deli, sandwich and ready food department its a disaster. Be prepared to spend the majority of your shopping experience in line. They have 4 or 5 slicers but only 2 people working and for some reason both need to work on the same order. Its also the only department that isnt very friendly, with a few exceptions.
Never been out of anything we come for, but if you ever have to ask where something is, its hard to find someone who isnt busy for a few minutes (especially after they reorganized the store after 20 years of it being fairly the same). Always moving quickly enough at checkout, clean and organized. Friendly workers and obviously a manager very unprejudiced in hiring (yay!)
This Publix is good grocery store, however, I have asked for items that have never been added, thing like fresh marjoram or tarragon. Also, the constant collection of donations, they ask over and over, you give but you are asked incessantly. Otherwise, no real complaints.
The worst Publix ever. They are usually stocked pretty well but the service is terrible. Maybe its just the ill run deli department that sets me off. Rude workers who act like youre bothering them when you order something. If you want fried chicken for dinner, forget about it! I dont know how many times Ive been in there between 5-7pm and theres no fried or rotisserie chickens ready. Its like its a surprise to them that people are there to get dinner. The sides in the display case look like theyve been there baking a few days and its just all around messy and unkept. There is one little oriental lady that works in the deli who is fantastic. The rest should be fired. I prefer Publix over the nearby Kroger for grocery shopping but I no longer shop the Publix just out of principle that they cant change even after multiple complaints to the managers.
Horrible experience. I always come to this Publix and get uniced cake layers. Always great service until now that they have a new employee in the bakery section. He refuse to help me at first. Lied and said he doesn’t know any prices. Gave an additude to his store manager. Yelled at a customer. Then became angry when I asked why he refuse to help me. He should get fired in my opinion. He also ignored me when I was talking to him. He was also on his phone then called his friend. The gentleman’s name is Ray. And because of Ray refusing to do a simple task , I will not step foot in this Publix ever again. He also has. I knowledge of the bakery , he told me that he was only a cashier and does nothing else or knows anything else. Yet when another customer came by, he helped her with a question on bakery. Ray also yelled at me then ignored me again the second time I came back. I have pictures of Ray and the wrong doings he did and will report it to Publix corporations.
I AM AMAZED!!! A few weeks ago I called the store to request Blue Bell Brides Cake flavored ice cream (I have made the request at the stores in my area to not avail.) at the Macland Point, Powder Springs, GA location. The assistant manager did some checking but then got busy with a customer and turned my call over to Emily Champagne, a store employee. Emily checked order books, shipping and even left a message for the Blue Bell rep. Emily called me back the next day to tell me the rep said that flavor was seasonal. I told Emily that I was originally from New Orleans and they had tones of the flavor the week prior to my calling the store. But I understood and thanked her for her efforts.A few weeks later (today), Emily called me to say that on a recent trip to Louisiana, she found the ice cream and was surprised to see how many containers were available in Louisiana. Emily brought back 2 gallons containers for me!!!! This is WAY above and beyond going above and beyond!!! I plan on shouting her story to all my neighbors and to any Publix manager I can find!!
The decor was boring. The ambiance didnt let me forget that I am once again out buying food for supper. I suppose its good not to be distracted from my list. I did find the signage for produce and floral, cute. To say the most. Much like any grocery store in todays society, the floors and ceilig are lame. The blown up picture of eggs above the eggs and dairy is just confusing! It looks like they used oranges. I thought I was buying oranges!
The store was stocked for the last day on Bogo items from last weeks flyer. Clean and friendly. And even the manager was stocking items for tomorrows new flyer and he help me find a bogo item and brought me all the way across the store to show me. And offered to help me with my other items on my list. 5 stars for being well stocked.
Been to many Publix, but this one by far is the best. If they don’t have it they will get it while you shop if possible. I go out of my way to shop at this location. I use to shop at the West Cobb Marketplace location which is nearest to me, but after many requests they just wouldn’t respond. It is just the opposite at this store.
I have been shopping here for over 5 years and the service has been great! Ive never had a problem with service. Employees will stop stocking and help you find something. Not only find it but take you to the item. They are great, and I am shocked to see that others have had a bad experience at this publixs store, thats why I had to share. From the cashiers to the bagger, my experience has always been positive. Go BOGO!
As a store its fine, but I usually go for the deli. Its usually slow, somehow even when Im the only one there, and they often get the meats wrong. I usually ask for a Boars Head Roast Beef, and probably 20% of the time I get regular Publix meat instead. Ive gotten to where I can recognize them visually and often ask, but usually they insist its correct. Tonight was Tammy, though I hate to call anyone out by name. She started by saying she would need to cut more meat, but then corrected herself pulling out the incorrect meat yet again. So maybe she just thought I wouldnt notice the difference. At any rate, theres a reason I usually go to the Publix at New Macland and Richard D Sailors - never had a problem and usually faster. Just out of the way and longer drive.
The service here has been going downhill, but today was particularly bad. I was about done with my shopping and stopped by the deli to pick up a sandwich. There was one person in line and the lady waiting on him said they would be with me in a minute. Another person walked up and someone came out of the back to wait on them. Then another person walked up and was waited on. When the third person behind me was waited on I decided they didnt want my business and I would speak to a manager. Wrong. When I went to the public service desk there was even less service. I had frozen and refrigerated foods so I couldnt stand there waiting any longer. I WILL be shopping at Kroger or another Publix in the future.
I can usually find what Im looking for here, but the prices are high. Bogos (buy one get one free items) are great especially if you have matching coupons. Best pharmacy staff Ive found. A good number of free prescriptions including antibiotics, cholesterol and diabetes medications. Everyone is well trained to give excellent customer service.
Was in line, suddenly the register stopped working. The cashier asked everyone to move to another register. A very kind gentleman told us to go before him. The cashier, I believe her name was Trina, yelled for the gentleman to get in front of us because he was next. He told her no, and that he let us go first... she had an attitude the entire time, threw the closed register sign across the belt and was very rough with our groceries. She had a horrible attitude, obviously something else was on her mind. Being rude to your guests is not the way to handle stress, it will easily help you lose them. Very disappointed...
I normally shop at Publix but it is not that store in general because of the distance however I went there the other day to buy some meat and could not find the right pieces of ribeye cut already . When the Boucher there named Waleed saw looking he asked me if he can help and that he did. He cut some meat that Ibreally likes the way it was cut and there service was amazing, he went out of his way which I really appreciate .Love Publix and specially the meat department . Thanks to everyone for the hard work.Kal .A
Im not too thrilled with this store. It seems they never have enough lanes open when Im ready to checkout, and they seem to take FOREVER to do that. I prefer Kroger mostly because of the lower prices, and self checkout. Standing in line behind 3 shoppers with karts full of stuff is annoying when you only have 2 or 3 items. They should really keep a 10 items or fewer lane open at all times.
The worst service I have ever received at a Publix. I stood in the sandwich line from 7 - 10 minutes with out once being said anything to. Even after I made the lady aware I was there within the first 2 minutes. While I was waiting and the only customer there for most of those minutes(one other person came behind me at the last minute) the O ly time she said something to me is when I walked up to the counter and said hello. She just said step back Ill be right there. I left 5 minutes after she said that not happy with the service and of course still hungry.
Love coming here but the deli needs some serious work. Came two days in a row & they were out of white bread & chicken tenders, Then dont get me started with Jane from the deli, She is the WORST, supee rude to people, always has a attitude with everyone & always complains. Then when I order my sub she looks at me like thats all? with a side eye & gets mad when its a long order. She is the reason many people I know dont like the deli here. She needs to be talked to asap.
At least they have a large thing of my almond milk creamer. Kroger is either usually out or only has the small one. On top of that Kroger charged me $3.00 for the small container when I got the large container at this store for the same price on sale.I am very pleased.
Very bad experience with the online deli ordering. The wrong thing was made and It was very soggy at pick up time. Only 2 lines open to check out, both were full. One cashier had her light off but continued to take customers which was very frustrating for someone who only had one thing and could have went to her and checked out much quicker.
We came to this Publix to get the 10 for 10 biscuits which the sign was posted between 4oz to 12 Oz cans. Followed all instructions on the sign and brought all 10 cans to the register. Turns out the cans they honor are only the 4 Oz cans not the 8 Oz cans. Was told by the manager that they do not carry the small cans of 12oz and the 8oz can was considered the big can and could not be in the promotion. How any of this makes sense is beyond me. Little the 4oz can and the 8 Oz can are the same width just one is 4 Oz and the other is 8 oz. Needless to say I would rather go to Walmart and spend less for the same thing. We love Publix but if they cant put the correct promotion signs up then we will no longer shop here. If I could post a picture I would. Im upset I drove extra distance to get the deal and left with no deal and spent double what I would have spent at Walmart.
Went to cash a check at Customer Service and Joanna (customer service staff) was the rudest person I have ever encountered at any Publix. After waiting 5 minutes, she said she couldnt cash the check, which is from a fortune 500 company, she offered no further help or assistence. This was the WOREST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever received in a Publix in my life. I will for sure, NEVER RETURN TO THIS STORE! This was my first and last time at this location, such a dissapointment!
The Publix here @ maccland and powder springs rd. Has a good storelayout. And while shopping you, can stop and ask someone there to go grab something that you forgot and bring that to you! None of the other food chain stores wont do that for you. And while shopping, you get asked from time to time by employees how are you doing or feeling and then @the check out somebody will help you unload @ the checkout. I like that because Im ready to go home. Thanks Publix!!!

2022-01-17I love shopping at Publix because the experience and customer service is always a pleasure. I love their fresh produce and Deli selections. Also, their cakes are so delicious.

2022-06-15I love Publix! They have fresh fruits & vegetables all the time. They actually take out the old items, wipe down the shelf & stock up with the fresh items. All the staff members are super friendly & helpful. Great experience every time. Their deli & bakery foods are delicious!

2022-07-03I find it very hard to believe that when there are 15 people people standing in line at the deli for sandwiches, and 5 for hot foods, and 5 at the deli for meats and cheeses...that you all only have 4 staff members working, and only ONE of them making sandwiches.Dont get me wrong, Ive waited up to and past 45 minutes to be served; but there is no reason some manager, or ladder climber, cant put on an apron and lend a hand.Or at the VERY least, have additional staffing during lunch and dinner rushes.Seriously, you all have a GREAT Delicatessen, and your prepared food is better than any fast food chain.Your staffing however, blows

2022-07-22One thing that I love about this particular store is the super fresh produce and great customer service. The wonderful associates who bag and offer to walk to the car with you and put up your groceries are members of the 50+ community and are a pleasure to speak with and enjoy their company. Thank you Publix for giving them and us the opportunity to interact with such experience.

2022-06-27This Publix is small and laid out in a manner unlike the other Publix stores I am familiar with. It was clean and well-lit and the staff was friendly and helpful. I was unable to find any sushi, despite there being a sign out front with their sushi special pricing. I knocked off one star for being unable to find it after looking in both the deli, the seafood dept and produce.

2022-07-18The service is pretty good but could stand some improvement. Theyve added self check out but the lines are longer with longer wait times. I usually dont use selfck out bc there are no perks to that. Publix is not very economical in terms of actual savings but I do love the shopping atmosphere and customer service .

2022-07-04This review is primarily based on the deli section. The African American lady that made my sandwich was very unpleasant. When I asked for mustard, she removed my meat from the sandwich and slammed it down on the counter as if I were inconveniencing her. When I asked for double tomatoes she proceeded to verbally go back and forth with me that it was already on there. Instead of engaging her, I continued to recite the other veggies that I wanted on my sandwich. I ended up not purchasing the sandwich. The bad energy from this woman is unacceptable. I understand it is the 4th of July holiday but if she didn’t want to be at work, she should’ve taken the day off.

2022-04-05This local Publix has some awesome staff. They provide so much support to make my shopping journey, that literally is nowadays, a success. Thank you Publix staff. Keep up the best work.

2021-05-29Love the store, hate the bakery. Don’t ask them to make anything. It’s NOT going to come out how you want it!Example: here is the HOT MESS bday cake I got for my sons birthday...also a later date, I asked for rainbow striped cupcakes and didn’t even get close to that...use another Publix bakery if you can!

2022-07-08Irene in the deli was very rude and disrespectful to me while I was asking about the meats for some subs I was buying for the senior citizens I take care of. She kept rolling her eyes and making smart comments to me. She clearly doesn’t want to work for Publix with the type of attitude and mentally she has. I felt embarrass because she did this in front of an abundance of people. She should be REPRIMANDED!
