Its a competition store of my job, however the location it nice & clean, also well lite... I pretty much go to Publix for the fried chicken; so I was slightly surprised when one of their better deals had been discontinued. I adjusted my want and they made me a comparable deal.
This place is doing a bad job with their price labels. One item had a long outdated label with a lower price than was charged at the register. Pointes it out three times, then had to remove the misleading label myself. Another item has objectively wrong per oz price on the label. Pointed it out, but after a month, the label is still on the shelf. Untrustworthy.
When I walk in it feels like I am with family. They are ALL GREAT! I run to the store every few days. They can even tell if my dog is waiting in the car. If I seem to be in a rush they always tell me that Lukas must be in the car. In my 63 years I dont think I have ever been to any grocery store with such an incredible staff. When they ask how are you doing? They really mean it. The only time I ever go to another store is if they are closed. Their bakery and deli are excellent. If you have wondered if it is possible to make running to the grocery store a pleasant task,(especially nowadays), try the Toco Hills Publix. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. That said I can assure you that I have a life and it doesnt revolve around a grocery store. However when a business does an exceptional job with customer satisfaction and only strives to get better at doing so, I feel they deserve recognition for their sincere efforts.
No wait hardly at all with all the cashiers working and self checkout compared to Kroger on Briarcliff Road they get people in and out quick instead of the other day a bottle of wine too 45 mins from arriving and departing using self checkout at Kroger. Yes tad bit more expensive but worth it in my 👀$
If you shop Publix youve come to expect a specific standard. But, this locations deli department exceeds expectations by so much!! Michelle is the absolute greatest! I come over a couple times a week to get sandwiches for my family or for cold cuts. Every representative in the department bus pleasant and wonderful but Michelle really lays it down. Everything she does has love in it and shes responsive. This location always has enough cashiers and employees on the floor to assist and they are all amazing! Happy shopping!
Kristin at the Pharmacy is honestly one of the worst people I’ve come in contact with. Asked a simple question about walk-ins for the vaccine and she got so defensive and rude. I don’t know how she got her position there but she could be trained a bit better when dealing with customer service.
Thanks to all the employees working hard to keep the customers safe. When I went this week the store was sparkling clean and everyone- staff and shoppers- were wearing face coverings, keeping distance and being polite and considerate. The subs and cakes are always delicious, and the bakery customer service is fantastic. I ordered a cake online and they called to verify that the message that I had written was correct. A gem!
Even though I visited Publix Super Market at Toco Hills within 15 minutes of closing, I was able to grab all of the last minute essentials to prepare a delicious Christmas dinner. Everyone in the store was helpful, warm and friendly. Im really beginning to enjoy visiting this location. Its my new go to spot!
I ordered my birthday ice cream cake with Malika one of the bakers and she did an AMAZING job! So much so that I was so impressed we ordered another one.Unfortunately, another baker was on the weekend duty. This baker called to get clarification on the order. First, she dismissed the instructions I gave her, cutting me off, being extremely rude and negative! As expected this second order was disgusting. Most of the cake was just icing with very little ice cream and cake. We just threw it out! If you order a cake at this Publix only order it if Malika will make it. She will never disappoint!
Instead of standing in the long line at the Deli to get your turkey sandwich, step over to the Kosher Deli to the left and back a bit. No line, and Samar (I may have misspelled her name) will fix you a scrumptious sandwich for just about the same price (just a bit more!)
Nice Publix in upscale area with tons of other stores in this shopping complex. Plenty of parking, friendly employees, clean store. Great selection including Boars Head, a full deli, even sushi. The one thing missing is distilled water. I was in from Florida and low on water. I saw spring, purified, and drinking, but no distilled water. I was happy to see open pit BBQ sauce, which I have not been able to find since I moved from Michigan. Cute plants in the floral area, I wanted them all! On our 3.5 day stay in the area we made two trips to the store. Check out was quick and plenty of open or self checkout lanes.
Publix is a good quality chain with a good reputation. This location does justice to that reputation with a clean, organized and well-managed store. Selection is excellent, staff is friendly and helpful, prices are reasonable, checkout lines generally not too long. A good place to shop in the community.
Always nice and knowledgeable staff. Store is well maintained and clean. Never had a problem shopping in this location. It has ample parking too and I can usually find a spot close to the door. Check out lanes are always fast, with self checkout available, which is a great plus
Odd store. The bathroom dirty and had an odd set up. I honestly thought I might get hit by the door. The only clean stall had a broken seat. This is the first Publix that I have ever seen a Kosher area at the deli. They do have a full aprons set up and the catering area was nice. There is a place to eat from the deli. The deli itself was clean, employees were nice. Checkout was quick an easy with the self checkout, seeing as all the other lines were super long.
I moved here from Florida back in December 2018. I was excited because I still got to grocery shop my favorite store. I love this location, everyone is friendly and make you feel like family...the store is especially clean, well merchandised and all the departments are amazing! They actually still show you were something is located...lol...its absolutely a pleasure shopping at PUBLIX AND THIS LOCATION! GREAT JOB!
We decided to cater my moms 75th birthday last month. We ordered a large quantity of food from Publix. The cake was good, as were the sandwich wraps and salad. The baked beans, greens and mac and cheese all seemed to come straight from a can or box. The chicken tenders were ice cold. And to top it off, it took a couple of hours to retrieve the order. The staff was disorganized and had to repeatedly clean up dripping foods and segregate hot and cold foods. We received aluminum pans surrounded in layers of foil coated in spilled juices. Everyone decided we will just cook food ourselves in the future.
I always have a pleasant experience at this Publix. The staff is kind. The store is clean and the produce usually looks great. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because Ive noticed that they are oftenout of popular items which can be annoying if its the thing I went to the store to get. I have had to go to the Kroger next door to get an item or two when that happens. This adds to the convenience factor making this Publix a safe stop when trying to gather all ingredients for a specific recipe or event.
Im always pleased with the customer service at this Publix and the way the employees treat me with respect. Someone is always happy to help me to my car, and the cashiers are always friendly. The only downside is the produce. Ive always been frustrated with the lack of consistent and outstanding produce.
You know how Chick-Fil-A has exemplary customer service? The people who work here DO IT BETTER. Even when you think it’s impossible, the service here is SUPERB. They treat you like family and even though I don’t even live in that area, I would come to this location solely based on the staff. From Robert in event planning to the many young cashiers serving in the front, I adore everyone.
In a time when customer service is declining almost all over the city of Atlanta, the quality of service in this Publix will really take you by surprise! Every employee is upbeat and friendly. They are sure to ask you if you need any help and even to take your groceries to your car for you. Its like going back in time!
Overall, Im pretty disappointed with this Publix location so I no longer shop here. Long waits at checkout and poor customer service. (1) There is never any help at the self-checkout line, so good luck showing your ID or getting an error to go away. (2) The Publix deli seems to always run out of simple necessities, like that one time I ordered mac & cheese and they ran out of to-go containers. I wish I was kidding.
Ive never been more disgusted in a publix in all my life. The deli will either mess up my food order, or not make it on time when I put in a Togo order! To make matters worse, my mother and I found plastic in our sandwiches. The women that work there obviously care more about yelling to each other than doing their job. This location needs proper attention.
Im really upset with Deli depts lack of concern and wait times. The deli dept manager discouraged me to come into the store saying it was busy and the store manager didnt offer anything but a apology now im at work without lunch thanks publix I will go to subway!!!! Thwt seem to always be out of wrap bread also.
New to the neighborhood & first time shopping at Toco Publix. Will not be back for awhile. Workers very nice- hence the 2 stars instead of 0 or 1. Store is in serious need of a remodel. Smaller & less variety than the Publix in our old neighborhood (Ptree Crns). Found several refrigerated items past expiration by more than a week. Witnessed something that grossed me out (no need to post what, exactly, publicly). Mentioned to cashier who was wonderful & took the problem seriously. Toco shopping center has always been generally run-down to me; the feeling stands.
Not the best Publix to be honest. Its bigger than some of the ones nearby but somehow seems to have less variety and stock. Ive also found moldy produce there on multiple occasions. People at the deli counter are nice but Ive generally underwhelmed by the level of help at this location.
This is my neighborhood store. They have a great selection and probably the best supermarket staff Ive ever seen. Meat, produce, bakery, pharmacy, and deli are excellent. Ok, so why only 4 stars and why dont I do my regular grocery shopping there? Their prices. They are higher than most other stores. If you shop, using the sale flyer, you will get incredible deals. If the item is not on sale, you will spend considerably more than most other grocery chains, Walmart or Target. So, it has become my secondary store. A great place to get things I forgot while doing my grocery shopping.
Today we had to put our 14 year old dog, Max, to sleep for health issues.Yesterday we wanted to do something nice for him, and my husband Andy went to Publix in an attempt to find a steak or beef bone for him to enjoy for his last night. Andy was a wreck emotionally and had a tough time picking the right bone for our dog.An employee in the meats section, Jon, assisted Andy wonderfully. His assistance immensely touched and helped Andy as he was going through this difficult time. We believe that Jon went out of his way to help Andy and wanted to share our experience and our gratitude of the customer service at this Publix.Thank you very much Jon and thank you to the rest of the Publix staff, who have always treated us with respect and professionalism every time we shop there.
I noticed that you have Aveeno products on sale I went to 3 store and i noticed you didnt have the soap at any store and ask one of the stock people about the soap and he said you wouldnt have it till next week instead of pulling it for a week wouldnt it be easier to change the advertising to select products.

2022-03-28This is truly a Publix side really like because its actually nice and the associates are very friendly and its pretty much a great Publix to shop. Ill just the other evening I was in here and the gentleman in the produce department help me get some fresh red bell peppers and also help me get some fresh shredded lettuce by fresh Express because the shelves were empty at the time and he went and got the product then he stopped the shelves so hopefully that helped other customers. Thank you so much Publix for all you do for all the communities that you serve.

2022-03-07Publix is great. Super staff and service. I like that they have good veggies and fresh produce. Very convenient. I have a great time visiting with consistent crew. They’re always in good spirits. I especially appreciate that staff are super careful about complete mask wearing. Management should help clean up parking area some way and front porch is messy too as a result. It’s always something.

2022-02-26Obviously not a unique experience at the other Publix deli ... They seem to think the baked wings should be as greasy as possible and dont need to be kept up to display standards. Again, the grocery staff and pharmacy are wonderful but the deli needs retraining badly.

2022-02-28Can someone tell me why it takes 35 minutes to get a simple cold wrap at the Publix deli?? I was on my lunch hour. I got in the line at 12:45 p.m. I got my wrap at 1:19 p.m.!! Needless to say, I had to drive like crazy to get back to work and then eat at my desk because my lunch hour was over!! I was so disappointed that the Publix staff could be so slow. Everyone in the line seemed really annoyed with the slow service. Publix needs to do much better! This service is disgraceful and extremely inconsiderate of the Publix customers time!!

2022-05-25Lets say there is definitely room for improvement. I placed a catering order and when I arrived, I was told it had been picked up already! Then i was given someone elses receipt which i had to explain to the lady was not me. After I showed my order on the app which had 4 large items, she went to the back, got 1 thing, and said have a nice day....WHAT?! By this time, I was getting impatient. I showed her the order AGAIN and she scurried off, brought 2 items and proceeded to START MAKING THE LAST ONE. I stood there an extra almost 20 minutes while she slowly sauced the wings and chatted with her coworkers. Livid was the best way to describe me at this point because this food was for a memorial service that was happening soon and her nonchalance was holding me up. After she finally finished I rushed to leave but explained my situation to a manager. His suggestion was to call and report to corporate...sir, you can discipline her at this level as well was my response. This Publix is closest to my work but Ill go to another to avoid this one.

2022-05-20One of the best outlets for ready-to-eat kosher food to make shabbos a little easier. Too bad there is SO MUCH TRAFFIC between the Druid Hills are and Sandy Springs. 7 miles - 45 minutes.

2021-10-15This Publix at Toco Hills shopping center on North Druid Hills off i85 has so many To-Go fresh n healthy lunches of all types. Ready to eat Turkey n cheese sliders, rosemary red potatoes, roasted brussel sprouts, and AKC egg salad which is supervised by the Atlanta Kashruth Commission... all in the photos. I also purchased Olive n Feta Greek salad in olive oil. Every employee and most of the customers were wearing masks. Very clean looking Publix and I am happy to shop here again soon.

2022-02-26Food was great, staff was nice, and restaurant was clean, lively, and full of people. There is no reason to not at least try this place out. The flavors of their food is different since its a fusion of Korean and Mexican. I highly recommend this place.
