This place is dirty. There were definitely questionable characters around. If my son had not been with me I would not have stayed. The floor in our room was gritty, the door didnt close properly. It smelled. I will say the staff was friendly but that is the only positive. The light outside our door flashed on and off all night. Stay away.
This hotel wasn’t bad except for the types of people that stayed there. There was drugs clearly because there was two arrests while we were there and then a creepy man persisting that I knew where the drugs were while I was outside with my ten month old baby and asking if I was alone. Staff was phenomenal and supportive but I ended up leaving at 4am because I was scared for the safety of my family
This place is an over priced dump. Do yourself a favor and go across the street, pay half the price and probably get a better room. My room was dirty, smelly and didnt feel entirely safe. The night before I stayed here, I payed the exact same price at another, nicer chain that was immaculate. Stay away from this motel at all costs. Ive stayed at my share of budget motels and this is the absolute bottom of the barrel.
They charged me $120 to stay in a room that was easily the worse room Ive ever stayed in. First, I walked into a wall of weed smell that would have made Snoop Dogg think twice. The carpet was a shambles and the bedspread and sheets were riddles with burn holes. I though I might already be cleaner than the shower could get me so I didnt bother. Obviously a long term rental property. If I had know what I was getting it would have been different. Ive stayed in some divey motels and Im not opposed to it. I also expect what I pay for. Do yourself a favor and pay half the price across the street. Im sure theyre comparable rooms.
We were not impressed at all. We give it a 1 star because the staff was nice and courteous except for the fact we had to change our own sheets because the ones on the bed were nasty. Not sure exactly what happened in that room before us, but the walls looked like they had bullet holes and something nasty was all over the lamp shade.
Traveling from Michigan to Florida I stop at a lot of hotels and when I first stopped in the lady at the front desk was nice. But when I was walking up to my room maintenance guys were outside doing repairs and using leaf blowers. The room was decent, but there were ashes on my nightstand that hadn’t been cleaned. Dirty looks from the cleaning lady. We only had three towels for 4 people when I went down there to get one more towel the new lady at the front desk told me she wouldn’t give me a towel until I brought the dirty ones down to her. uh? what? Anyway, place was extremely sketchy and staff was not pleasant. Would never stay here again.
I was disappointed with our room. #112. Coffee was still in coffee maker. A roach was in the tub. But the biggest disappointed was the shower. No shower head. All we had was a pipe coming out of the wall. On the upside. The young man behind the desk when checked in was very courteous and polite. The take and go complementary breakfast was good. We had a Jimmy Dean sausage egg biscuit. I hope the owners address the matters I mentioned above.
Atrocious hospitality from front desk staff Susan & the general manager Charlie. Don’t work in the hospitality industry if you are not going to be welcoming towards people of diverse backgrounds. Seriously judgmental environment. The year is 2021, how is it that people are still rigidly clinging to such hateful notions towards that which is different from the norm? Unbelievable. For crying out loud, learn about diversity. I demand a full refund. If you’re reading this and are considering booking a stay here, do yourself a favor and go across the street or literally anywhere else. Haven’t been treated like this anywhere else in Georgia or anywhere else in the country. Two thumbs down. The staff really needs to learn to expand their mindset around personal expression and diversity. Everyone in the hospitality industry needs diversity training if you are going to be serving people from different parts of the country. Don’t cause harm by shaming people that live differently than you. Diversity is the basis for all evolution in nature- if we stay the same we are doomed to die out. Do your part and celebrate diversity whenever possible.
Room was clean but had a sour smell to it. Bed and furniture were somewhat comfortable. Some damage to the room that was given to me at the time of my stay. No lobby access and no breakfast option due to Covid-19. Pool was closed and covered. Easy access of I75 and to some other restaurants.
Never received key cards that worked for the room. Had to be let in with “master key”. No apologies, no other resolution from property management. Several other hotels nearby but due to high demand had to go with only thing we could find but was still way overpriced for the level of accomodations.
This hotel is easily accessed right off of I 75 and was a perfect stop for us on our route between Central Florida and Chicago. The hotel was exceptionally clean, staff was friendly, and it was obvious that they have put effort into updating the bathrooms. The bed was very comfortable, and while we did not take advantage of the free breakfast it appeared well stocked and fresh. The couch looked dated and was a little odd, but very comfortable, and for a fairly inexpensive hotel, I wouldnt expect everything to be brand new. I am, however, quite picky about cleanliness, and found no reason at all to complain or be concerned.
Not so good. Hotel was nice but the internet , which I needed, really sucked. Internet took fifteen minutes to get on and then each email I wanted to read took at least ten minutes each to open. Front desk couldnt help with fixing the problem so had a lousy evening on the internet. What should have taken me twenty minutes at best took almost an hour. What a waste of my time and I specifically asked before checking in if they had good internet service and was assured they did.
Key to room would not work, I had to continue to go up to the front to get it reprogrammed ( 5x). The girl at the front desk acted as if I was inconveniencing her. Of course she wasn’t the one standing in the hot sun trying to enter their room. The room is ok but it smells as if someone has smoked in it previously ( non smoking room). Bed is comfortable, but the shower curtain smells like mildew. Also at check-in the owner told my male friend that he did not work for quality inn and therefore the employee discounted price we PREPAID for would not apply. My friend stood at the front desk for over 30 minutes debating with the owner before he called corporate to verify his employment. And still we are being told that we owe $70 because the owner made a mistake. The girl at the desk has been calling him for the past several hours but he has not returned the call to fix the mistake. The location is great but with the mishaps during this stay I would not book again.
The hotel was not up to our expectations and past experience with Choice Hotels. While it was clean and nicely decorated, the room was small compared to other Choice Hotel rooms we have stayed in. The staff of the hotel was most hospitable and friendly. The maintenance staff was scarce that weekend making it necessary for the owners to do all of the room cleaning etc. by themselves. Our room was hastily vacuumed and clean towels were given to us on the third day of our visit, but the bed was not made and the bathroom not cleaned that day.Parking was far away from our room. Our main complaint was with the breakfast. While it was adequate in amount, the choices were not what we were used to. In future, we would appreciate adult choices for dry cereals, more variety of fruit spread/jelly other than grape, more variety of oatmeal choices (only one was available), and whole grain breads instead of just white. Bananas would be nice as well. The door of our room was damaged and difficult to close tightly.Luggage racks or stands would be helpful so that we can use clothing in our luggage without kneeling on the floor. The dresser drawers were inadequate for the clothing we had with us.
We stay 3 nights and the place was clean and the beds were comfortable. What I have found most people have NO idea what real customer service is or dont even know how to be nice! As a Diamond elite member I have stayed many nights at Choice Hotels all over the South. First I was not greeted as a Elite Diamond member or offered a gift or points with the promotion sitting on the check in desk! My name (Mr.Knowles or John) was never used just a very brief thank you. We stayed because it was in the location but the area is a little tough but it did feel safe. On day two our toilet went over and ran in the floor ! it took forever for anyone to come to checkout the mess or to correct it. We should have been offered a fresh room but I was told it wasnt possible. On our last day I went to take breakfast to my room I was told I couldnt do this but I could eat all I wanted as long as I want to stay in dining area . They barely had enough food out there to start with! The lady attending to this breakfast add one egg and one sausage at a time and you had to ask each time for any more food! They embarrassed me in fount of many other guest. Like I said i have stayed at Choice locations and have often even given a tray to take breakfast to my room. I think the Diamond means that what these hotels make off of us not our status. Most of the time Im happy with the servce never over joyed and I think the ad Boda bing boda boom is A straight up lie you have to stay for or five times to get a free night but thats something different but I will never stay there again.
I’ve stayed at many hotels through the years in the Acworth/Kennesaw area that always seemed to have some sort of issue every time I arrived. Quality Inn so far has been the only hotel in the area that wasn’t trashed or felt unsafe. They helped me find where I needed to go, had clean rooms and grounds, offered a breakfast that was cooked right, and had a price that’s affordable for a single mom to be able to bring her son to visit family. I felt like my son and I were safe, and the room was larger and nicer than I expected!
My room was extremely horrible. Trash was everywhere. The room recked of smokes even though the hotel says that it was supposed to be non-smoking. I don’t understand why they would give me a room that was not ready. The staff never apologized and was extremely rude. I asked for a refund and they would not give me one. I even got an email confirmation that i checked out the next day even though I did not even stay at the horrible hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE. Would give 0 stars if possible.
The room looked nice enough, but the bathroom area smelled really bad like mold. We had a king size bed, well a king size mattress on 2 double box springs. When getting on the left side of the bed, the middle of the bed would rise up, unless my husband held it down from the other side. Maybe a different room would be better, but we checked in at midnight so we just dealt with it. The staff was friendly. Breakfast included cereal, yogurt, sausage patties, egg patties, and waffles.
The beds were AMAZING! It was very clean, the heat worked wonderfully. That said, I think it was being remodeled, or had been, the paint job wasnt great inside. The toilet needed a new wax ring, there was water on the floor but the toilet didnt wobble and it worked. The night staff was friendly. The morning guy was very, for lack of a better word, unconcerned. After ringing the bell 3 separate times, I had to call as I was standing at the front desk, to let them know I was at the front counter. The coffee was empty as was the sausage and eggs. He made more, that werent hot by any means. They were floating in water. But, the beds were amazing and it was clean!
The outside of the hotel does not look the best, but our room was very updated and comfortable. We were driving through and needed a place to sleep. And to say the least, very pleased with the value we received. Super clean room, clean carpet and VERY comforting beds. I would stay here again when traveling through. Easy access to the interstate also.
My first impression of the hotel was that even if the rooms were rather small, it was cleaned and looked well maintained. Those impressions remained during my seven night stay, but the negatives that came to light over my stay far outweighted the initial pluses I experienced. First of all, we had to ask almost daily for clean towels, toilet paper and other supplies that should have been provided withour our asking. Second, there is very little variety in their breakfast fare (two cold cereals, sugared and unsugared Cheerios wanta bees, no hot cereal, the same egg patties and sausage every day, etc.) and it was not replenished during serving hours very well. On at least three days, there were empty coffee dispensers and/or juice pitchers. There was no sausage on the days I arrived after the first hour of breakfast and often rolls and muffins were also no available. The on-site laundry wasnt available and the desk staff had no idea where a self-service laundry could be found. The was no accurate listing of T.V. channels and although I asked several times, one was never provided. The real problem came when I checked out. I had made reservations for eight nights but told the front desk on the afternoon of my sixth day that I would be checking out after seven nights. The hotel had billed my credit card for all eight nights the first day I was there and rather than refunding the eighth night, they charged my card again for what amounted to a ninth night. It took several calls to the hotel and Choice Hotels and almost two weeks to get the problem corrected. The management and a large segiment of the Hotel staff do not have a good command of English and basic accounting terms and practices. They seem to give minimum attention to guest services, or simply dont know how to run a service oriented business.
Due to a very bad experience with the motel across the street from this Quality Inn, I got a refund and came to Quality Inn at 10pm looking for a clean place to stay. The front desk person was very friendly and accommodating. It did take 3 rooms to find one with an AC unit that worked, however, it was probably a breaker issue. The front desk again was very accommodating. My third room had a unit that worked, however, it was obviously not vacuumed because there was still small pieces of trash all over the carpet. The paint job in the room, particularly the bathroom area, is extremely careless and messy, which makes me question how careless they may be with cleaning. I probably would not stay again.
Tried to check in and the front desk lady was absolutely no help at all. All she kept saying was I dont normally work this shift so I dont know to everything that was asked. Also tried to get ahold of her, and she hid as if she wasnt there, but her phone was on the counter so she was there. Finally got into the room and it had not been cleaned, no sheets or pillows in the entire room and no shower curtain in the shower. If I could give 0 stars, I would! 10/10 do not recommend.
Older hotel. Ive stayed here twice.Kinda run down, but definitely better than the Econolodge across the street. The bed is much more comfortable. The deadbolt didnt work on my door, and there was a large, very bad patch in the bathroom ceiling from a water leak. The room was small, but clean.Refrigerator, and microwave.Lots of places to eat nearby, and walking distance.
Absolutley beautiful!! Just 2 nights ago my fiance and I had a horrible experience with a 4.6 start hotel on google, more like a negative 5 star hotel. But the Quality Inn was a WONDERFUL site when I opened that door. The floor layout is a little confusing at first, but nothing you cant figure out quickly. The king bed, is tall!! The hotel is extremely close to a walgreens, CVS, liquor store and many places to eat all within walking distance. They are pet friendly, BUT there are signs all over the ONLY tiny little patch of grass that says no dogs allowed in area but expect you to walk your dog in an overgrown drainage ditch.... which is why they only get 4 stars. Shoot, the attendant didnt even know they had grass let alone signs saying no dogs. Overall it was a pretty great stay.
Recently stayed here using a coupon during the summer travel time. They honored the coupon and added $10 as a surcharge, which was written on the coupon, so no unexpected for a Saturday night. Phone manner was great. It was very late on Saturday night. I called after no availability at another exit, and a much higher price at our usual motel. So I had a winner here. I was traveling on my own, so I was thankful for the room near the lobby, where I could park right in front. I felt safe. The bed was tall and comfy, big bathroom, nice amenities. Thank you for a safe affordable comfortable night!
We had a great room, quiet, clean, updated, mini fridge, microwave, nice bed. Breakfast was marginal...scrambled eggs were in a round circle about 1/4 thick floating in water. Sausage was the same. There was also cereal/milk/bagels/waffles/yogurt/juice. The staff was kind and helpful. They charged us $10 for a pet, but we did not have a pet...I didn’t notice until we were a state away. Waiting to see if the will credit my account.
This is an older hotel but have remodeled some things. We stayed in a room with 2 full beds and it was a little small for 3 people but manageable. They allow pets, which is great, because I was able to bring my senior Chihuahua with us. The beds sit up high and were a little firm and uncomfortable to me but I have neck and back issues, so that could have been the reason. Basically, it was a clean, standard and decent priced room.
This hotel is in need of a good cleaning, painting, & new linens. It was dirty, dusty, smelly, & had blood stained , dirty bedding. Even the towels were dirty .We used our own bedding & stayed due to a horrible storm with blinding rain that prevented us for looking for a better hotel. We have stayed in many Choice Hotels over the years & this one is definitely the worst. The bed was comfortable with our own sheets. We will never stay here again!
My very pregnant wife and I arrived late at night and Charlie the night guy opened the lobby and let her use the facilities as I was checking in. He also provided me with local information such as grocery stores and restaurants. As our stay was extended Christna the day manager was extremely helpful with helping me get my wife breakfast (even if we slept late), booking and rebooking, and any and everything else we needed. Housekeeping worked around our crazy schedule and never knocked when the do not disturb sign was on the door(thank you very much) All in all we were very impressed for the value.
The hotel was OK but a good price. Our room (109) was very, VERY dusty, a drywall dust from remodel. The front desk offered to have it cleaned but I have dust allergies so I didnt want it stirred in the air. The breakfast was not very good. The waffle batter was empty, eggs looked burnt, sausage was greasy.Huge deterrent, pets are allowed in all the rooms! If you have pet allergies DO NOT STAY HERE.
Good location but saw roaches crawling along the TV and dead roach in the mini fridge. You would think they would have that cleaned. Room smelled musty. Dirty shower curtain. Told the clerk about the bugs and he didnt even apologize for the inconvenience just made a note. Poor customer service right there!! Choice hotels needs to train their employees better at this location!
I advise everyone to NOT book with this Inn. My experience was absolutely atrocious. First and foremost the Employees are extremely rude. When I first reserved the room they told me I would get a confirmation email, but I never got one. I called back two more times for my confirmation and still never received one. When I checked into my room the doors were completely open (they left the door open). The room was a mess, trash everywhere, Stains on the bed, there were bugs, and many other things. I understand someone could have been in the middle of cleaning the room, but why would you give a room that wasn’t ready to a customer? Anyways needless to say I was unhappy and went back to cancel the rest of my stay and asked for a refund. They told me I would get my refund and an “email conformation” again for my refund. And of course I never received the email. I called numerous times back, and I still have no email or refund. This place is terrible and I do not understand how they are still even in business. Mr. Charlie (manager) and the rest of his crew definitely needs to reevaluate how they do business. Again I warn you all. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS QUALITY INN. Save yourself the time and headache and find another hotel.
Firstly, I felt the guy at the front desk was sort of rude and didnt even explain things to me such as what time breakfast was, what was the check out time etc. He seemed as if he was irritated that I was even checking into the hotel. I have stayed at this chain of hotels many times but I did not like this one at all. Plus, I had a Non-Smoking room and yet my room was still smelly. Not necessarily smoke smelly but not too clean of a place smelly. I will never stay here again.
First thing when I got to my room I noticed the bed wasnt made, so obviously my room wasnt cleaned yet. It was a comfy bed and a decent stay for the most part. But on my last day there I called the front desk and asked if I could check out 30 minutes later and was told Yes, thats fine. So I turned my key in to the front counter approximately 30 minutes after check-out time. When I returned home from my weekend trip I checked my bank account to find out I had been charged $90 for an additional night. I called them immediately and they told me that someone who doesnt even know how to work their computer was at the front desk at the time and must have charged me for an extra day. They apologized and said the money should be back in my account in two business days. Not good. Maybe theyre not normally this unprofessional, but in my experience I cant give them more than two stars.
Called ahead to confirm reservation; was greeted with a rather unfriendly female voice. Checked into the hotel, and female desk attendant was not too friendly; a bit sarcastic and somewhat cool. Did not seem to want to help us (perhaps a bad day?).However, the room was beautiful; the best one we have had in a long time -- clean, newly remodeled, clean bathroom, just perfect!Breakfast the next morning was an experience. Only one staff person on duty, who was also watching the main registration desk while trying to keep up with the breakfast area needs. We heard complaints from other guests there that they did not have enough help, and they got behind in making coffee and other items. Note: We stayed in three other Quality Inns in the last two months, and this was the only one which did not have dedicated staff for the breakfast area.
The bed was comfortable, the room was clean. They are doing maintenance on the rooms. I couldnt get the hot water on in the shower in the morning. It was twisted too tight. My husband took one after me and was able to break it lose but too late for me..I ended up taking a quick cold shower. The staff were friendly and check in and out was quick. I would recommend it.
It is a 3 star place. Nothing over the top had. Nothing over the top great. Free breakfast and a pool area. My room had a refrigerator and a microwave. The staff was nice, however when I went into the lobby for breakfast the first morning...no one was behind the desk or anywhere to be seen. It was a good 15-20min before a staff member came in. I am a state employee and was there for a math training. I was disappointed that they didnt honor the state tax exemption form. I would keep that in mind if you are planning to stay for a business reason.
The staff were efficient, pleasant and easy to work with. From the outside you wouldnt think this was a good place but it is very nice for the price! Beds are very comfy and rooms are kept clean. This was our second year in a row down in Atlanta and we prefer to stay here versus the other higher priced places!
Would not have picked based on outside look but, read reviews which indicated it was very clean and friendy. Indeed it was. Sheets were fresh. Non-smoking room was perfect. Sometimes they use way too much carpet freshner for this traveler who is allergic to perfumes but, not here. Room was just fresh. Night manager was super pleasant and polite. Breakfast was as expected and adequate and area was super clean. Will stay again. Thank you for a good night sleep!
I was in town for a Softball tournament. The location of the hotel is convenient to dinning and a supermarket. My room was clean, staff was very nice...especially the cleaning service. The only downside to my stay was the noise from outside such as utility trucks leaving before daylight, doors closing, things of that nature. Nothing that could really be prevented.
My family came to town for a baseball tournament and had a great experience at this hotel! the breakfast was good, the accomodations were great! the bed was super comfy, no internet problems and you couldnt beat the price! the staff was friendly and accomodating as well! there are enough restaurants in the area and other things to do are not too far. i would definitelt recommend this hotel to others and expect to stay there again when back in the area!
Do not go that is the bottom line. Check in was a plus and it ended there. Day 1 the housekeeper used my personal cleaning supplies to clean the bathroom. My daughter had to tell her no what are you doing. Although she said our linen was soiled she said we do not change sheets daily. Each day that we left the room we had to go and get a new key to return back in the room. No one came to clean the room day 2 and when asked to come they had no one to come. Front desk staff really rude only one guy the same one who checked me in was pleasant. Seems to be family owned and is the worst Choice Hotel I ever been to and will never return. Breakfast was ok
We happened upon this hotel as we were looking for a Choice Hotel north of the busy traffic of Atlanta. The desk clerk was extremely welcoming and pointed us to a nearby Mexican restaurant where we had a tasty meal. Our room was welcoming as well. It was clean and well-appointed. The bedding was luxurious. There was a desk and chair for our use, too.It was quiet and VERY reasonably priced. The breakfast included cereal, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, bagels, and MUCH more...eggs, sausage and waffles. The desk clerk was overseeing the breakfast room and was friendly and helpfulIm sure well stay there on future return trips from south Florida.
The price was okay and the bed was great but the room cleanliness was not. The sheets had a round spot of some kind of black stuff on it that I didnt see until 10:30 at night. Also had some brown stain. I remade the bed so that I didnt have to have them by my face. Also between the mattress and my fitted sheet was a hard piece of black plastic where my face would lay. There was also a worm creepy crawly creature that was crawling across the floor before I stopped it. I wouldnt stay there again.
I have stayed in this hotel several times in the past as it is a good stopping point between St Louis and south Florida. I pulled in to the Quality Inn early evening of July 18th 2017. As I walked in I noticed the desk clerk, Brittany, speaking to a gentleman. After she finished her conversation the phone rang, and she asked the caller to please hold and she would be with them in a minute. She checked me in, gave me keys, and answered the phone call on hold. I noticed the room number on my key envelope and noticed that I was given a room on the second floor. I am 77 years old, and have arthritis in my knees. I told Brittany that I had requested a first floor room. At this point the phone rang again, Brittany answered and asked the caller to please hold. I told Brittany that I had stayed in room 120 on several occasions, This room is on the first floor, and I can back my van eight up to the door to load and unload. Brittany said that the computer screen showed the room as not being cleaned, but she would give me a key to go in and see if the room was cleaned. The room was in perfect order, so I called the front desk and told Brittany that I would take the room. In short Brittany was multi-tasking with several customers at the same time, and made us all happy, and she did it with a beautiful smile. Way to go Brittany!!!!
I have stayed at several Quality Inns in the past and have had no issues some of the slightly older hotels but this visit to Acworth the cleanliness was subpar and physical condition of rooms were less than desired. To be given room at check in that Bed was not made up followed by another room the door latch would not open and finally our third attempt at a room a non smoking room that had been heavily smoked in.We checked out the next morning and moved to another hotel for the next night.
The location right off of the interstate was nice and there were plenty of restaurants, dominos, drug store, etc. in close proximity. The beds were very comfortable, had microwave and nice size small fridge. The breakfast choices were great if you get there early, and there were still plenty of choices at 9:00 a.m. The staff was very friendly. Overall very good experience. Will stay there again on my next trip.
The hotel was nice. I feel the price point for that room was fair. The hotel is a little older but the decor was updated and the beds were great. I stayed at another hotel of the same branding the next night and it was more expensive and was exactly the same room , decor, and the rooms looked to be not as old as the other. We were lucky to book the other room in advance and get a reasonable rate.
After finding hotel rooms to be generally unavailable and very expensive in Marietta, we gladly drove the short distance north to stay in Acworth. We were delighted to find a coupon for this hotel in the rest stop coupon booklet offering a reasonable price for a nights stay. Deborah made our check-in experience a pleasant one, and we were pleased with the location of our room (a little way back from the road) and the amenities offered in our room. We elected to eat dinner at the restaurant across the street that Deborah recommended and enjoyed our meal. The hot breakfast served in the dining room the next morning was delicious and satisfying. While we were eating, we noticed that Marlene was very attentive to the supply and presentation of the breakfast foods. She also answered guests questions in a friendly manner. Later, Marlene made our check-out process quick and easy. We would certainly stay at this hotel again if our travels took us back along the same path.
Overall this hotel provided what we needed. We have two 50+ lb dogs that come with us on most of our trips so finding a hotel that will allow the bigger dogs without high pet fees is nice. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a pleasant surprise to find out that it is 100% smoke free in spite of what the website and signs outside the rooms state. The edges of the property could use a little more attention as well as more accessible and safe areas to take the dogs outside.
Very disappointed although it was much less expensive than the hotels in that same area. You get what you pay for. Never again. My room was dirty, stained sheets & stained shower curtain. Trash still behind the bathroom door when we checked in. But thankful no bed bugs.
The room was supposed to be a non- smoking roon and the room smelled like an ashtray. The room was dirty, with used towels and burned bed sheets. We didnt even spent the night in. When check out the attendant didnt even asked what was the reason for not staying the night. The experience was horrible.
One of the few places with rooms available. Friendly staff upon check in.The room was your standard room. It looked like they recently updated their rooms. Clean and no funny smells. Always a good thing.Parking is a bit tight. I was concerned about getting a door ding.Breakfast was the usual waffle, sausage, and eggs. Waffle was good. Sausage looked like it was boiled. The eggs were circular and didnt look right. Coffee was downright terrible. The cost was a bit over $100 for a night. And was with a discount. For something comparable drive a bit down the road to the Days Inn.
Booked hotel due to advertised pool , not once was it open during my stay . Also wanted to stay one more night , was told that I literally had check our remove all my belongings and check back into the same room .Because of that we left and stayed a week actually at another property. Our house was being renovated and having to check in and back out in same room was ridiculous.
We stayed here on 3/29/18 while traveling from Florida to Michigan. We got in after midnight and were tired. The TV remote was not working properly and went to the front office to see about getting batteries, Charlie at the front desk came back to our room and said he had it working. The only thing the remote worked was the volume. When we tried to change the channel on the side of the TV to watch the weather, an auto search screen came on. We tried calling the front desk, but the phone did not work. We went to bed with the heater set at 68 degrees and woke to the room at 78 degrees and the heater was still running. The coffee pot did not work, the hairdryer did not work, there was someone elses hair in the sink and tub, and even though we were in the breakfast room early, the eggs and sausage were gone. No one else in the breakfast room had any either, nor did they provide any while we were in there. My husband left his watch in the room and since we were now back in Michigan, we could not go there in person to pick it up. Charlie at the front desk said he would mail it to us and charge the postage to our credit card. He failed to mention that he would be charging us $30.00 to return our watch rather than the $6.70 FedEx charged to mail it. The beds however were comfortable. So, if you dont care about having TV, Heater, Coffee pot, Phone,Hairdryer, Breakfast, or clean Sink and Shower, Not a bad place to stay.
I have stayed at this Quality Inn on trips between St Louis and Florida. On my last trip I was amazed to see the beautiful re-modeling that has been done to the public areas and rooms. The dark wood acents in the reception area have been carried through to the rooms. The room lighting over the lavatories, furniture and mattresses are a big improvement. Keep ut up!!!!
Im very picky about the cleanliness of my hotel room, but this hotel exceeded my expectations! Room was very clean (including all linens), bathroom was spotless, breakfast was good, and the arrival front desk person was very helpful! Will remember to choose this hotel when traveling again.
We checked into hotel and soon found it to be 90 plus degrees in room and only the fan worked. I checked the filters and they needed cleaning, so I did so. Still no cold air. I called to get moved but no other rooms available, the guy on duty says he will leave message for his manager for discount stay. I go to check out to met by a rude general manager that offered me 10% discount. I learned my room wasn’t only room with ac problems.
This was a lesser hotel for Quality Inns. We needed a room for the night after going through Atlanta. It was just off I-75 and easy to get to. Right along side of a very busy road with trucks causing noise. The other side of the road did have choices for food but was too busy to walk to; needed the car.It needs renovation. Really needs a desk or table and chair. Wasnt really that handicap for the tub and shower. No tub mat.We did get a good nights sleep.
We pulled in late after driving for hours tired and stopped at a Quality Inn expecting Choice Hotel standards. This place was awful in all ways except for the bed. The king bed was soft and very clean. The rest of the room was a dump. There were holes in the walls and the bathroom door scraped the light on the ceiling. The lamp was broken and the odor of the room was awful. The breakfast was scant and overall this is one of worst hotels we have ever stayed in. It sure puts a mark on Choice hotels if it allow their name to be associated with this place. There are three or four hotels in the area so do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else.
Ok if just looking for a place to sleep while traveling. Would not stay here for an extended period of time. Room needed updates and minor repairs. Ceiling above shower and bottom of tub needed repairs. Poor quality paint job and poor choice of colors (orange and yellow) on accent walls. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. But for the money we paid was expecting a little better quality.
Checked in went to room and the room was filthy, beds unmade, cigarette butts (in a non smoking room), looked like the room had not been serviced. Went to desk and they gave us a different room, went to room and door lock didn’t work (couldn’t fix it because maintenance people were in India), said they had no more non-smoking rooms with two beds; which is what I reserved because of staying with a friend. They told us all they could do was give us one room with a king bed and charge us for another room if we wanted two beds..... ummmm not my mistake but yours. Unacceptable customer service. You should have offered the additional room at no charge because you couldn’t provide what we reserved to begin with.
I have been a choice diamond for several years ( which doesnt seem to mean much these days) and have stayed all over the country. I have had my difficulties at other hotels but this one takes the cake. When I showed up at this location, I had already pre-booked on choice.com and paid in advance. After waiting for 15mins or so for someone to help me (Hitting the bell and even calling the hotel from the lobby) three other people come in behind me and tried knocking on doors with no answer. All three customers decided to leave. I had already paid in advance so decided to give it more time. The front desk clerk came rushing in just in time to see three vehicles leave the parking lot. Then proceeded to ask me if I had a reservation. (No apology No explanation, just straight to it). I checked in and took the long walk to my room (Due to lack of parking lot) with my bags, I opened the door to find it was not just NOT CLEAN but TRULY TRASHED. Took pictures and went back to the front desk only to wait again. Showed the pics of the room I was sent to and had to be reassigned to a lesser room than I had pre-booked. My Itinerary was unsure, at this point, so against my better judgement, and the lack of time to find a new hotel, I decided to stay there for the next 2 nights in which my credit card that I use on the road was charged and the original card I used to book the first night was also being charged. Not to mention all choice hotels these days use a very controversial way of doing holds on your cards. EX: If I book 1 night and find out I need to stay another or even two or more, my card will have an immediate hold for all nights, ( This is NOT the problem) . The problem is each day will start being pulled out of the account as well as the holds still being held for the entire stay, and will continue to be on hold for several days after you have checked out. which can tie up $100s of dollars of your money for days even after the total payment has already cleared your account. Now as a DIAMOND MEMBER I am supposed to be rewarded for my loyalty. This is rare these days. I have even had a lady tell me that it doesnt mean a thing ( In which I wasnt asking for anything special) she just wanted to tell me that after seeing that I was. I dont complain! I have never wrote a review to complain, but this is getting ridiculous! On the night before I left this particular hotel I ask for a late check out to be set at 1pm. I was granted this request and proceeded to be out by 12;50pm. I decided with all the screw ups this hotel has had I should go ahead and let the front desk know that i was out. I was told that check out time was at 11am and there is not a manager on duty and nothing could be done about the extra day charge. And besides I BOOKED TILL THE NEXT DAY ANYWAY. I have my booking info on my phone and it shows the date as being the day I was there checking out not the next day, Yet I was still charged for a whole different room number for the night after I left. I was told someone would get back to me when the management came in. Still nothing and charges have all cleared my account.
The hotel appeared to be recently remodeled and the room facilities were excellent. The desk staff either did not know what to do or ignored requests for forks in the dining area resulting on eating waffles and sausage with a spoon or by hand. The sausage was cold. A request for assistance when encountering problems accessing the internet the morning of departure was either beyond the desk staff capabilities or was just ignored.
If you have no, to bottom of the barrel standards, this may be the place for you. We checked in as a family of 3, hoping to sleep for the night during a long drive. We spotted it just off the interstate and thought, great. We were exhausted. We paid for the room through a walk up service window. Not entirely sure if it was the area or the sketchy clientele that made this a necessity. We parked in the lot, a typical Motel style lodging. When we entered our room., we were not exactly happy. Tired, and toting an equally exhausted 8 year old, we decided to make the best of it. The fold out couch had no sheets, and calling to get sheets was a 30 minute ordeal. It was poor communication and the employee having my husband go to multiple other rooms and then back to the wall wicket each time on a search of sheets for our sons bed. After visiting 3 other rooms, they then decided to give us sheets to make the pullout up. Its now like 4am. The pull out was a loveseat size and when pulled out the slant was so bad, our child had to sleep pretty much sitting up. The door had no security latch at all. You can see that the door was broken down previously. Which considering this very trashy place, was not a shock. We piled our luggage and the rooms moveable furniture in front of the door in order to feel a tiny bit of security and safety. The bathroom. Well, the toilet seat had so many burn marks on it. It was apparent some really bad stuff goes on here. The tub,, we were better off not using. Hairs and dirt yeauch. We slept in our clothes, changed in the morning and I made sure all of our clothing that touched this bed went directly into bags and tied them off. It totally seems like a place in a shady movie. You feel ichy and creepy crawly when your here and dirty when you leave. What a terrible experience. I wish I took more photos. We were driving for like 12 hours and just had to sleep. If only we went a little further. I would advise you to keep driving.
Hotel was poorly maintained and not very clean everywhere; service was lacking in some areas - no coffee available prior to breakfast at 6:30 a.m. so we travelled to McDonalds next door for coffee and skipped breakfast at the hotel. Bathtub was slippery without any mat available or the tub. Our next night was QI in Grove City, Ohio was 100% better.
This property is a very well maintained one. It was almost like staying in a new hotel. It was clean and all the amenities were great. The ONLY problem I had was with the management. This trip was a business trip for the Georgia Department of Driver Services Motorcycle Safety Program. I was in Acworth to conduct a motorcycle training course at Chattahoochee Technical College. Upon check-in, I provided the desk clerk with the required State of Georgia Department of Revenue Sales Tax Certificate of Exemption Form and my State Employee Identification. This should have exempted me from all tax charges for the stay except our state tax. The hotelier refused to honor the exemption resulting in unnecessary charges to my personal American Express account. As a result, I have reported the hotelier to my employer in an effort to recoup the charges to my account that my employer does not allow. Unless these charges are credited to my account, I will request our travel department drop this hotel from the qualified hotel list and notify my colleagues in Georgia to avoid booking at this otherwise very high quality, Quality Inn. -james gillespie
Do not hesitate to stop at this hotel even though there are multiple other familiar hotels in the immediate area you will be safe, and have a great nights sleep. Vending machines worked. Pool was clean. Staff was great. Had a free breakfast that was ready when promised.
This place has truly been a shelter for us. After a HORRIBLE experience in Perry, GA we drove the additional miles to find shelter from Hurricane Irma. The closest place we could find was this Quality Inn in Acworth, GA. What a wonderful reprieve from our previous experience. The hotel workers are having to deal with a lot because they are filled to capacity with evacuees and their pets and children. The people who work here have been a blessing and have gone above and beyond with helping all of us. The rooms are clean, comfortable and convenient. Deborah at the front desk has been extremely helpful to us when we needed to extend our stay due to not being able to go back home as soon as we thought. Thank you to the entire staff for every way that you have helped us!!
I travel for work and see a lot of hotels. Ive had many pleasant stays and a fair share of nightmares. Whenever I come to the woodstock/acworth area there is no question that this is the place I will be. The rooms are always clean, stocked and orderly. The staff and management have been some of the most helpful and decent people Ive ever met. Never any bugs, showers great, beds are phenomenal and the maid staff doesnt disturb me while sleeping all day due to working the graveyard. (this means everything.. I need my sleep)
Let me start with the god first, the room was clean and nice, no weird smells. The towel swan on the bed was a nice touch too. Location was good to, but the property layout wasnt great. Never saw the free breakfast area so cant speak on that. The bad is that the pool was a small one and it was empty and appeared to be that way for some time. I would stay there again if I needed too.
On May 14th we checked into this QInn after a long day of traveling. After unpacking we wanted to hang fresh clothing to wear the following day. Although there was a clothes rack - there were no coat hangers. I redressed myself and walked to the office. When I told the lovely girl at the desk (the person who so graciously checked us in, L.Vence) that we had no hangers in our room she immediately looked under the counter to no avail. She then checked a nearby closet and could find none. After that she knocked on the room behind the counter, and I heard a mans deep voice (the night manager??) say, tell her we dont provide coat hangers. She returned, very embarrassed, and told me that she couldnt find any hangers. The next morning the breakfast showed the same inattention to the weary traveler - ex: sausages on a hot plate that was not turned on and rotten apples/oranges floating in a bowl of water. I did ask 2 other couples at breakfast if they had found hangers in their rooms...yes!After belonging to the Choice Privileges Program for many years, this was by far the worst experience Ive had with hotel management. During the rest of my 10-day trip I purposely stayed in unaffiliated hotels.
Our room was affordable and clean, and the staff was friendly. But the building was old, rooms were small, the washer/dryer needed cleaning, the dryer didnt dry our clothes very well, and there wasnt very little outdoor space for our dogs to potty even though the hotel accommodated dogs.
The carpet was over-deodorized. My throat started to hurt. My wifes eyes were watery. The shower diverter knob was actually missing. Only the tub was working and when it was filling up, it had 2 small dead bugs and a few short hairs floating in the water. The toilet had brown speckles around the bowl and dirt/dust smudges on the tank. It was around 11:30 and no other rooms available in the motel. We decided not to wait for maintenance to fix the problems and left for another hotel.
Room was clean, but the bathroom was horribly dilapidated. Paint and plaster were peeling in several places and you could see where theyd tried to plaster over the wet, water damaged walls. There are HUGE stains on the walls and ceiling and more than likely a good amount of mold behind that mess. Had we not been so exhausted from traveling, wed have left.
The motel was very clean, staff was nice. The only thing i did not realize was that this Quality Inn was a motel style as to a hotel style. Meaning I usually go to Quality Inns for the privacy of people outside not seeing me go into my room. The area seemed fine though. I would recommend this motel.
I arrived early and was checked-in without a hitch. I came back to use the business area computer, but couldnt get it working. The staff was quick to come and get the computer working, internet accessible and printer operating. She also make arrangements to have breakfast ready early before standing hours so I could eat something before leaving. I couldnt have been happier with the care and attentiveness of the staff at this Quality Inn.
This is the first and last time we will stay at this hotel. The desk clerk (at check in) was not friendly and did not recognise us as being Elite members like they do at other Choice Hotels. The room was clean and comfortable. The next morning when we went to check out and have breakfast in the breakfast room the desk clerk was missing. We left the key on the desk and went to have breakfast. As we were leaving the hotel (15/20 min. later) the desk clerk was STILL missing and the key was on the desk where we left it. I would not recommend this hotel based on the experience we had with the desk staff.
Our room was designated as handicap accessible. It was not. The grab bars around the low-sided tub and high-seat toilet are a good start. The furniture layout would preclude a motorized chair from reaching the bathroom; and with the desk chair occupied, access for a walking person is nearly impossible. The king bed is way too high for a transfer from a chair, in fact Im on the short side and had difficulty getting on it. For hotels in general: comforters are not needed in the summer! How about a top sheet and a less dense spread. At least provide somewhere to put unwanted comforters and blankets.
We are CHOICE PRIVILAGES members, and this probably was the worst Choice Hotel we have stayed at. The following night we stayed at a COMFORT SUITES in Georgetown, Ky. and the accomodations and Breakfast Buffet were OUTSTANDING. We will only use Quality Inns as a last resort. Plus, the price was equal to the COMFORT SUITES HOTEL that was ten times better.
The rooms were clean, check in/out was quick and easy, the rates are the best in town by far. The location is walking distance from just about anything you need as far as convenience. Right off the highway and not even a mile from the nearest park. Great location for in and out or just a getaway.
Air conditioning was not on in room when it was 85 degrees outside that day. Not all desk staff knew answers to general hotel questions. Had to request privacy door tag as room did not have one available. Shower had spray leak that soaked the ceiling and wall causing water to drip back down into the unit before having time to finish showering.
Very satisfied, comfortable and clean. Receptionists were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast buffet was neat and tidy, well stocked and fresh. I would have liked a little larger selection of breads and cereals. Is this now 50 words? I am rambling to get there. Its too many words!
Place was disgusting. Beds were pubed up. Toilet had poop on the outside, bottom of the bowl and pubed up as well. Used tissues on the shelf as well as an inch of dust. The ac worked but was caked in thick dust. The end table leg fell off when i tried opening the drawer. The shower was brown and continually dripping like-colored water. The bedspread looked contagious at best. The tv remote was sticky and reeked of farts. And the wifi is of no use.
Ron smeeled of smoke and was damp from the AC. Beds were comfortable and pillows were good. Parking lot was nearly empty, but the cars that were parked seemed eclectic. I got the feeling it was a Hooker Hangout Hotel, but it worked for a nights rest on my drive from Florida to Missouri.
This hotel is barely clean. The remote on TV didnt work. Front desk didnt have a solution. The next morning coffee pot didnt work and upon going to front to get coffee, I overheard another guest saying they had no wash cloths in their room. We will not ever come back here.
Nothing fancy. The room was clean and newly renovated. Get a room in the back of the building the front of the building is next to a busy street. You will hear every car going by. The breakfast was one of the best at a choice hotel. The kid at the counter is hard working and a gentalmen.
Where to begin..? First thing is the stairway is not covered so in the rain yourw soaked by the time you get your things in. Secondly, there was old food and a beer in the fridge when we arrived. Third there was no toilet paper or tissues in the room. Figuring it was only one night we just went to bed. Upon waking, I found a dried up contact lens in the bed. The air conditioner was covered in thick dust and needed a thorough cleaning. There was also hairs in the bath tub and to top it off as we were packing up ROACHES started crawling out onto the t.v. from somewhere behind it. Needless to say I couldnt leave fast enough. If youre looking for a clean & sanitary room, KEEP DRIVING!
The only thing good hotel is going for them is the housekeeper shes the only one that cares about the customers shes the only one that takes care of anybody the owners are the rudest people in the world treats you like you better than you and acts like youre taking up his time he has better things to do better try to contact the room because I dont have a number to call the rooms then he gets irritated and even hung up the phone I mean once very rude person was still manners and needs more training will not be staying there again
I stayed one night the. Got online reserved a room for the next day and when I went up front to pay was told I had to check out anyway when I told them I had made a reservation already. I have two car loads of stuff cause I’m currently in a process of trying to downsize and I reserved the room specifically so I wouldn’t have that problem
Remote to tv doesnt work. Was charged a per dog pet fee for 3 poodles that sleep in thier crate. The rooms smell bad 2 dead flies on floor. Lesson learned will never stay here again. Also some pretty shading looking and acting people in the parking lot. No quality here 4 sure!!!
This normally good selling feature was ruined with cold eggs and sausage patties. The small donuts were hard and stale. Bagels werent any better. Coffee was good but restricted until after 6:30am. Room seemed clean but the clock would not reset. Stuck on 12:00 no matter what time of day you check-in.I would recommend passing this lodge by.
While the accommodations were clean, there was desperate need of plumbing care. The toilet ran every time I used it, therefore; I had to take the tank lid off to stop it.The shower leaked. Both at the showerhead related to poor connection, as well as at the tub to shower connection causing very poor water pressure as the water ran both out of the shower and the tub fill spots simultaneously.I hope this was an exception and not the norm in all the rooms.
We were in the process of moving from Florida to Minnesota. Acworth was a nice stop just past all of the Altanta traffic. We stopped around 1230 am. I was upset that the only vending machine had drinks and there were no snacks, but besides that; the bed was comfortable and we just stayed one night so we were out early the next day.
Loved our stay in Acworth on a very busy weekend. This hotel was completely booked out with a large group of rowdy teenagers. Could have been the worst of the worst but the staff here is INCREDIBLE. Thank you SO MUCH staff at the Acworth Quality Inn you go above and beyond and we felt it!!!
Quality Inn team member Krishna was very happy, nice and helpful as we checked in and when we checking out. Inn was very clean and very nicely newly remodeled. We were looking for a nice place coming out rain storm.Thank you so much wonderful place to stay for the night.
Stayed in two quality inns less than a month a part in two different states and very disappointed in the overall stay. Customer service and response back pretty much non existent.family and I have a few more trips to take by the end of the year and just might consider a different chain since we have had issues with the last two stays.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The rooms have water leaks, you call the front desk & they actually say you can come to the office & get some towels to clean it up!!! WHAT??? I paid them to stay there not to be there maid!!! Phones suck!! WORDT CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER & we stay at hotels 3 out of 4 weeks a month!!!!
Disappointed with Quality Inn for this stay. A combination of poor cleaning and inattentive workers. The door lock was sort of jammed and thus hard to open; the deadbolt didn’t match its hole so we couldn’t use it (this was the third room we tried and we were tired so we just stayed in it anyway).
This hotel was not what Quality Inns used to be......the bathroom was not in good condition at all. The breakfast was atrocious, my husband couldnt even find anything to eat. All I usually eat is a yogurt and they didnt even have that. The outside appearance was terrible also. This will probably be our last stay in a Quality Inn.

2022-03-22The front desk is so calm , friendly and supportive. It was the busiest time at lobby but she taken care all customers very nicely. The Manger on duty was also so friendly and had very good Management skills. The room was clean and had pleasant stay with my family.

2022-03-24We arrived late on a Saturday night because all hotels in the area were sold out. Hotel outside appeared clean. When we got to the room I was in complete shock. Stains on the beds and on the chair in to room. The smell of the room was horrible. If it wasn’t so late and no other choices I would have asked for our money back and kept driving. My advice is keep driving! They charge for a three star hotel price when they are a one star motel!

2022-03-14I stay at this location all the time. The staff go above and beyond to make a guest feel welcomed. The room is always clean. The beds are extremely comfortable. If you enjoy comfort and feeling like family, look no further.

2022-03-24I had a choice of hotels at the exit, Econolodge or Quality Inn. Knowing that the Quality Inn is a nicer hotel that was my choice. I was very disappointed. The room, specifically the floor was filthy. I walked from the sink to the bed and my feet were black. The door did not have the safety lock on it, which being at the back of a hotel with no outside cameras made for uncomfortable stay.As I left in the morning, I wondered if the EconoLodge would have been a better choice.

2021-11-08The hotel was clean and comfortable. We were only there for a few hours. Problem we had was the parking lot was L-shaped and we were pulling a small trailer behind our car. When lot was full we had a problem trying to get turned around in it. If you are a light sleeper, dont get a room along the highway as there were a lot of very loud cars on the road.

2022-04-11Dirty, beat up, cockroaches in the room. The continental breakfast was mostly out of food. The garbage was overflowing. NEVER AGAIN.

2022-04-07Roaches in the room. Seem to come from the bathroom. Probably in the shared wall there between rooms. Asked them to spray but no one came to my room to do so. Killed nearly a dozen roaches.

2022-02-24Roaches, broken coffee maker, and the front office do not even know what, or the importance of turn-down for guests staying more than a day or four...
