This stay was beyond disappointing. We booked a suite upon arrival the room we were initially given had only two towels that were just thrown on the counter. There was mildew on the matress for the pull out sofa. We were switched to another suite which was also dirty there was change on the floor from prior guests, dead bugs in the room and again 3-4 towels just thrown on the counter and rack that looked as if theyd already been used. I took pictures which I sent to management after checking out and as retaliation i was then charged for both rooms! They claimed we used both rooms which was a complete lie after being switched to the second suite I never even left the room again until the next morning and this second charge didnt come until 2 days after checking out when I sent the pictures and complaints in.
Terrible guest service! Rude front desk staff, filthy room with no towels, dead roaches in room and mildew on pull out sofa. We were in the king suite room 205 it had practically no towels and mold on pull out sofa matress after complaining we were moved to another suite room 211 which had the same problems as well as dead roaches in the room, mold on the phone and there were still pennies on the floor from previous guests which indicated that the floors were not vacuumed either, I wish I could give 0 stars!
Everyone here is so kind. Clean rooms, clean linens, nice bathrooms! The house keepers are so sweet and the laundry room man allways smiles in his hot hot room! Curtious and reasonable prices. I cant think of a thing that could be better. Thank everyone that was good to me!
The staff was really kind and the room was good. Jenniffer, she was really good staff. i lost my stuff and when i called the hotel she tried to find and call me in 5min and helped with shipping toothank you so much jenniffer.the only bad things that the AC sounds pretty loud at my room.
Terrible terrible .......102 dollars rooms were dirty, couldnt take a hot shower water was Luke warm at best. And upon arrival the rooms the lady on the phone said she had she actually did not there were no king sized bed when I ask her if we could reserve a room with one. Her response was no need we have plenty. Then when we got there she says she never said that. Will not be back
The hotel was just ok. Kinda run down and felt “icky” in the room, but I slept halfway decent and was only there one night. The bowling alley right outside my room was LOUD and I was surprised I could hear the noises through the window/door of my room. From looking at the lobby area, it appears the hotel (at least that particular area) was once very nice and accommodating. My advice? If you are just a dude needing a room for a night or two, this one will work. Just make sure you are armed because there seemed to be quite a few shady characters coming and going throughout the late evening hours.
WORST STAY EVER!!!DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!Would give no stars if I could.Place looks ok from the street but that is where it stops. Remote didnt have any batteries. After getting batteries it didnt work past turning it on. Smoke detector in room didnt have batteries, thats a safety issue. Beds were hard. Only 2 small square pillows per double bed. Couldnt find a working ice maker. Only carbs offered for breakfast. This is one of those extended stay/hotels. Those 2 should be separate.
I had a great experience staying here. The staff was really kind, respectful of my pet while I was away, and kept my room clean. The only thing that detracted from my stay is that I could smell my neighbor’s smoke in my room. Smoke is particularly harmful for parakeets. So word from the wise for parakeet owners, request a pet room in a nonsmoking area to avoid this issue. Otherwise, I was extremely happy with my stay.
Place was clean and well maintained. Room looked like it had be remodel in the past 6 months or so and was clean. The only issue we had with our stay is the shower, The shower and the toilet are a little close so when you get out of the shower and try to open the door it was a little tight.
Absolutely poor. Was rented room 220. When we arrived there qas pubic hair and urine all over the toilet. Further inspection found bugs on the top of the AC unit. I called the desk to advise, the hostess was apologetic quickly switched me rooms to room 216. That room reeked of marijuana smoke in a smoke free room. The hide-a-bed did not have any sheets and the mattress was dirty. Contacted the desk and again was told that I could come get the sheets ECT. The hostess was extremely polite and apologetic, however the place was not able to be slept in.
Room was clean (although we found a dead roach in the bathroom on our arrival). The room had nice amenities including a microwave refrigerator TV desk etc. however, the room was fairly small and you had to be a contortionist to get into the bathroom and close the door. It did have a nice shower however. Our biggest complaint is that a truck drivers who had booked a room near ours, left his refrigerator truck running all night, Which meant his compressor was going off every 10 or 15 minutes right outside our window. If I was to come here again, I would insist on one of the inside rooms facing the pool. It would be well worth the extra 10 bucks. I was very disappointed in their breakfast compared to other quality and I have stayed at.
Rooms have been recently remolded. Ours was mostly clean. Exterior is in dire need of maintenance and repairs.Breakfast was pretty much non-existent. We were told the kitchen was closed due to COVID-19. The only thing offered, was 2 types of packaged pastries. The same thing all 3 mornings.Amy, at the front desk was extremely helpful and cordial.
Absolutely amazing hotel. We rented the king suite and the suite ended up being in the top floor. We have a special needs 3 and a half year old son who needs to be wheelchair accommodated and the hotel upgraded our room with no questions asked and moved us to a bottom floor. The room was beautiful. and the bathrooms were very clean. Breakfast in the morning includes a hot continental from 6-9. I would recommend anyone staying at the hotel and will continue staying here myself!!!!!
Stayed for 5 days as I was working on a project at the Walmart thats about a block away and I was very pleased. They just remodeled their rooms and for the price you cant beat it.Pros:Very comfortable bed and pillows. Huge room for the price.Location.Super attentive and friendly staff. (Diana at the front desk changed my room after the first room that I was in had not been remodeled yet and the bathtub looked kinda rough and they had no issue changing me again due to some noise from the remodeling that was taking place below).Cons:Skip the eggs and sausage in the free breakfast. All in all, great place compared to some other places that charge double. Ill definitely come back if I am ever in the area.
This hotel is the PITS. I have been coming to this hotel for well over a decade. The only reason I keep coming back is that it is cost-effective. Corporation needs to send a team to randomly select some rooms for review. The carpet that leads from the main entrance to the rooms is disgusting and filthy. This hotel needs a complete overhaul.
This is the worst hotel Ive ever stayed in. The desk clerk is rude, its not clean, the room I stayed in had a leak, I guess, and water was pooled on the floor and the flooring squished. I rented two nights and when I returned to my room the second evening I couldnt get in and when I did finally get my key reinstated they didnt even clean the room or give clean towels or clean the wet floor. Dont rent a room here, its not worth it.
I went to get a room the reception lady. Kept falling asleep and said my card was declined. The next day I get a message that they took the money off my card. I went back up there and ask for my refund because they never gave me a key card. And they had the nerve to tell me that theres no refund. So I need everyone help on who I need to talk to and sue. Cause yall are not just gonna take my money. And say its no refund. So please dont go to this hotel crooked thieves
I have stayed here several times due to allowing pets but this was the first time the cleanliness was an issue. Obviously housekeeping forgot the bathroom. Sunflower seed hulls on the floor and a lot of hair left in tub area. It is getting a bit run down but I have continued to stay because of the pet policy. This may change after this visit. I would be ok with hotel if bathroom was cleaned properly.
Horrible, unclean, and just nasty. The room was not ready upon arrival at 5pm and upon return at 630pm and that was totally unacceptable to me. Was told there would be a discount given and was not and the room had gnats and flies. There was a horrible smell of onions and some unknown smell.
The lady that helped us check in was very nice and helpful, also the guy who did breakfast in the morning was nice. The hotel is old, and I can tell renovations have been made to try and spruce it up. Even though the furniture, carpet, and fixtures appeared new there were lots of holes left in the walls where old pictures used to hang, just made the room look cheap. The bed and bathrooms for the most part appeared to be clean, but the floors in the room were not cleaned. Need to work on vacuuming the carpets in the room better. I will say my room (bottom floor facing pool) was VERY quiet (and we were there with a large group of loud high school boys). The breakfast was lacking, the cereal was stale. Juice machine was broken. Not a great selection of choices and it appeared they were close to running out of items when I arrived at 7:00am for breakfast (supposed to be from 6am-9am). I hope these comments are constructive and helpful! Could be a very nice place with a little more attention to cleanliness and details.
This Quality Inn is not a 5 star hotel but the terrific rate we received for 7 rooms by far made up for the stars they are missing. We have participated in several events in Thomasville from Family Reunions to Birthdays to Thanksgivings and my family and friends always stay at the Quality Inn because that is where we can get the best price for our money and the best accommodations for our money. This trip- we were in town to attend an 85th Birthday Celebration. The lobby of this Hotel is small but very nice, presentable and clean. The breakfast area is presented well and it too is nice and clean. The rooms(some of them), although could be updated (ie new carpets), were clean spacious and very accommodating. Excellent Internet and excellent reception on TV, not to mention the many channels available for viewing. The beds were comfortable and I, for one, slept very good both nights of my stay. . I understand that updates/renovations are in the works for this Hotel.
The hotel staff was the most amazing part of the stay! From check in to check out, they were EXTREMELY NICE! The exterior appearance of the hotel was a little rough. The rooms beside me were flooding apparently because as I rode by, I saw sheets laying in the rooms on the floor. The interior of the room was well prepared, but it was a very small room. And after dropping a wet towel on the floor, I wasnt convinced that I should be without both shoes and socks at all times. It appeared that mostly the construction workers were on that side of the hotel, and it was evident that they were familiar to that side because my room smelled exactly of smoke. I dont plan on ever coming back, but if I have to for some reason Ill choose the Econo lodge.
Travelers Beware. Waffle House next door is loud after dark and sketchy. Had to leave before even entering the door. Didn’t feel safe. Would have preferred to stay as I was tired but continued on to final destination as I didn’t see getting much sleep at this location. When I tried to speak with management the next day I was referred to as “you people” which leads me to believe this wasn’t the first complaint here. Hate to leave a negative review, but I wish I had of read before I booked.
Ive been staying at this hotel for several months on and off now because of work. This is my go to hotel when I work in Thomasville, Ga and surrounding counties. I cant say enough about Amy at the front desk. She is absolutely amazing and works so very hard. Ive seen her cleaning rooms and helping run the front desk non-stop. I am grateful for such a caring person. She always goes above and beyond. I am a diamond member and she always welcomes me accordingly and offers me a complimentary upgrade. The hotel needs a little work, but I wouldnt consider staying anywhere else. Nick the manager does a good job too and has offered me the complimentary upgrade as well. Mr. Patel is very nice too. I wish the pool was open and the gym. And Im looking forward to hot breakfast again. Again though for the money this my hotel. Housekeeping generally does a good job too. I would really this hotel while staying in Thomasville. The location is perfect too for all shopping and dining. Thank you to the staff
The blankets werent clean. Old looking. Bleak. No warmth to the hotel experience. The lobby smelled odd. If I had any other choice, I wouldnt have stayed here. Whether they existed or not, I actually felt the need to check for bed bugs. I would not want to claim this hotel as an example of my brand and the fact that many other hotels in this small town were completely full, while this one had plenty of rooms, speaks volumes.
Overall all experience at this hotel was pleasant. The beds were nice and soft easy to sleep. The hotel staff was very nice and friendly. It was a very quiet stay which was nice. The shower was nice and had amenities available for use. The a/c which is most important to me was nice and fully operational. The breakfast was ok not as good as many other hotels, but this one doesnt look like they get a lot of guests. Usually more guests a better breakfast. Also had good wifi all through the room.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The grounds were clean as well as the room. This appeared to be an older motel but very well kept with modern interior. Rooms open outside. Very quiet throughout my stay. The only complaint is the bed quality. The beds need to be replaced. Woke up with a stiff back each morning.
We were a group of 15 Goldwingers traveling on an overnight ride. Hotel was very accommodating for us. Staff was great in letting us getting together in breakfast area. We always put chairs and tables back to the configuration they had. Any questions answered promptly. Hotel could use some updating but overall clean and comfortable. Would stay again.
My request for quiet, back of hotel, off street request was satisfied, check-in was easy and the manager was kind and pleasant. The room was nice and cold (once we set it to a temp we liked). When we checked into the room the a/c was on HEAT and in October in South Georgia on a warm day, thats probably not something you want to check in to. Overall we thought the hotel was nice. We appreciated the upgrade to the A/C and the addition of a micro and fridge. We were satisfied and for an FSU football weekend, we appreciated having a nice room to come back to and that we didnt have a 2 night minimum requirement for football weekends.
This is an older hotel that has updated the guest rooms nicely. The grounds are very nicely maintained. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The common areas of the facility could use some updating, but the owners have obviously focused their attention on the rooms, which was appreciated. Also appreciated was the pet-friendly policy. We will return.
Men all over with their hotel doors open and walking around. Smelled of cigarette smoke and pot.Treated horribly by the customer service dept when I called to cancel reservation. My husband had made the reservation online since I was traveling and we didnt realize what this hotel was like. Was told I would NOT get my money back, even though I did NOT stay there due to the clientele and never checked-in. I was alone with my young daughter and told the hotel I did not feel safe there. They mocked me. Work men smoking pot in the back of the hotel. Couldnt even complain at the front desk as the poor woman at the front desk could not even find the reservations for the men in line ahead of me. I have no comment on the rooms because I never made it that far. Ended up going to Holiday Inn down the road. NO VAGRANTS at the Holiday Inn down the road. FYI- Holiday Inn was cheaper. NO cigarette smoke smell. NO one leaving their hotel door open and standing in the doorways. There is too much hotel competition up there in Thomasville to tolerate this treatment or level of hotel.
From the road, the motel looks Good. The owner is at least trying. Our bathroom almost made me go to the front desk to ask for something better. The bathroom was in need of so much repair and upgrade that it looked nasty. Cracks in walls, paint missing from tub, no shelving or toilet seat for items. Very little signage from room to lobby and low lighting. I apologized to my traveling buddies for not getting a better place. Breakfast was good, coffee was out early and staff was friendly. Lobby bathroom was also in need of repairs and upgrades. Everything would have to be booked before Ill be back.
We checked in on 7/2/ 2020 to room 121- we picked up the cushion on the chair in the room and it was covered in dirt under the cushion and the chair was warn out we were moved to room # 110 after we got all our luggage moved in the room I took off my shoes and found that the carpet was soaked with water from the door all the way to the bed - I guess when these two rooms were cleaned? None of this was found - we were finely moved to room #130 and all was better
The only thing i had a problem with was the vent over the toilet in the bathroom that allowed room neigbors to look right into each others bathrooms, that was just tacky. One night the guy came in vomiting and I could hear everything! I kept the bathroom door shut from there on and turned the tv up. They need to just eliminate those vents and Im good. All together, the rooms are of good quality. They are clean. I especially loved knowing the phone usage was free and I really needed it. Truly southern hospitality. Good job overall.
When I made the reservation I did not realize that the doors opened to outside instead of a hallway. So, I was a little concerned when I pulled in. The lady that checked me in was very nice. The lobby also looked decent so I was feeling better about it, but it sounded like a party was going on and I was hoping for some sleep. The room exceeded my expectations. Looked like it had been refurbished recently, carpet, counters and furniture looked new. The bathtub looked like the oldest thing in the room, but it was ok. The room was very quiet and I was able to sleep. So, it served its purpose.
We stayed in Rm. 200. The bedding of our room was completely filthy and dirty with God-knows what on it. We complained the first night and nothing was done about it. The second night we stayed the bed linen was filthy and dirty again, indicating that the sheet were never changed or washed. After my husband heavily complained, new sheets were brought to us and we had to change them ourselves. The right thing to do should have been to switch our rooms the first night and refund our complete stay. However, in an effort to fix the problem we were refunded one nights stay. Needless to say we will never be back to visit this hotel and will probably never stay at this hotel chain again. Period.
We were apprehensive because the Quality Inn is adjoined to the Econolodge. But the Lady Desk Clerk was accommodating and helpful, so we gave it a chance. There is a distant area behind the hotel that has, what sounds like, dozens of dogs that barked and barked as if in some sort of competition. But the room was well built and we could not hear the noise, once we were inside. The room is spacious and comfortable. Actually a bargain for the price. We have to email daily reports, and were very pleased that this facility has good internet service. The breakfast was a step above many other accommodations that we have stayed in. We were there to work the next day. We slept well and if we were to do it again, wed certainly stay here.
I have stayed here many times over the last couple of years. Every time I stay I am very satisfied. My rooms have always been clean, and updated. High five to housekeeping, good job!The noise level is 0, some of the quietest rooms ever. TV Channels are a bit confusing, but progress is coming like it or not.Recently I stayed for work/personal and every thing was as expected. If you look at my points level, you will notice I am in a hotel room more than just about anyone and I would stay here over and over.Thomasville in general is a great place to go. So much to do and so close to lots more. Go Downtown and walk around while there, it is GREAT!
This hotel has always been one of my favorite Quality Inns. I have been staying here during the remolding phases over the years and they are doing a great job. I was traveling by myself so a ground floor room was fine, although I am not a fan of rooms on the parking lot side of the building. Very nice room with okay bedding. Everything was in the room and working. Wifi worked well. Handle on dresser was broken so I reported it on check out. Room clock had not been set to standard time so I, therefore, got up an hour earlier. Oh well, it gave me an early start to my day. Also reported that at check out so the next person will not get up too early. Breakfast was better that most Quality Inns. Hot eggs and sausage. There were 2 things that bothered me most. I always book on line. The rate shown on the website was not available when I clicked on the hotel selection. It was almost $10 higher. I asked at the front desk at check-in and the lady did not know anything about the rate. The second thing was a charge on my bill called Hotel Fee. It was $5. I guess it was a fee for the privilege of staying in that hotel. I didnt see the charge until I had already returned home. I would like someone to explain what the fee was all about.
If I could give this hotel a negative 1000 star I would. This was the worst hotel in all my years of traveling. Having spent hours on the road we arrived at the Quality Inn to stay at our reserved rooms. when my family and myself walked in the lobby there was a horrible funky smell in the lobby. We asked to cancel the reservations but were told we couldnt. When we got in the room, the rooms were filthy, reeked of mold, mildew and dog urine. My family and I felt unsafe and ultimately we were able to cancel and go to a much better hotel down the street. My family had booked over 10 rooms as we were in town for a anniversary party. This was the worst hotel ever DONT stay here. Prior to us leaving, The maintaince man also knocked on the door of another guest trying to convince us to stay by showing us other rooms, then let himself in another room while another family belongings were in the room. This hotel was run down and overall gross. Worst experience ever!
This location is an odd mix of run down and updated. Our room was clean, though the walls, sink, and tub were stained. The couch looked as if a previous patron brought a cat. (Pin prick scratches, not shredded. ) None of this really bothered me. Things get old and clean means free of grim, not shiny and new. My only problem was that the door didnt seem to seal. (It locked. ) I would not have stayed of it were warmer because mosquitos would have joined us. The staff is friendly and professional. I did not try the breakfast. All in all, this hotel was half the price of my normal chain and I was comfortable.
I stayed 2 nights in this hotel an the room was VERY NICE AND CLEAN. The bed was comfortable and neat. I had no problems at all. Staff was great. It was late night when i checked in and the desk attendant (Evelyn) made it quick an easy. Overall i had a great stay an i would for sure stay here again.
Room was decent, bed comfortable, clean shower, and wifi decent. A/C / fan will run all night without shutting off but surprisingly did not seem to bother me very much as I thought it would.Breakfast non existent and not sure you could call what I saw a breakfast.I travel everyday and very content with this hotel as far as cleanliness and quality of sleep.
My stay started well at check in with Amy who was helpful and friendly. The room smelled sour on entry but the Air Conditioning was not on so I hoped the circulation of cool air would help the odor. My hopes were dashed as the room never got cool and the odor persisted. Breakfast was another big disappointment with watered down juice and coffee. Pastry and sliced bread even seemed stale. Egg discs and sausage patties were offered so I do not think management is being cheap but the food service execution is very poor. The young lady at check out was very pleasant and concerned with the poor experience I had during my stay. Management should visit the Quality Inn locations in Americus Ga.,Albany Ga. or Macon Ga. off of I-475 to get an idea of how a Quality Inn should be or just make the whole property an Econo Lodge.
Big club like place attached to the lobby. Lots of drunken partiers in and out trying to hook up with other partiers during check out. We could hear the music in our room. Partiers walked to my car with my daughter in it pointing and talking about her. Once in our room the bathroom wasnt cleaned. There was a used bar of soap still in the shower. The bathroom was old and hadnt been updated like the rest of the room. The bed pillows were about the size of small throw pillows. Overall for the price it wasnt a good experience. The price was about the same as the newer, likely cleaner, motels in the area. Either lower your prices or update ALL of your motel.
I didnt realize the hotel rooms had outside doors and some of the rooms were used for extended stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a smell of human waste at the pool. The toilet and tub area was really tight. Could not access the workout room with my room key.
Melissa at front desk was the rudest person ever! Horrible beyond belief ! Room smelled sheets and pillows and bed not quality inn grade, There’s an Econo Lodge in back owner probably owns both and gets linens from there. also desk chair broken and chair beside bed in horrible condition , lock on door missing . Don’t stay here !!!
I was traveling home because of the loss of a close family member I had been driving over 6 hours and was also emotional. I was traveling to Thomasville, Al. Long story short I mistakenly booked a room in Thomasville, GA. When I arrived at the hotel I was informed they where full (Front desk woman apologized and still checked to see if she had anything even though she knew she did not) I thanked her then drove on to the next hotel thinking maybe it was just a mistake online. The next week I was charged a cancelation fee I had no idea why until I called and figured out this hotel was in Georgia. I asked to speak with a manager on several occasions. Spoke with Amanda and Melissa multiple times so did representatives from booking.com and choice privilege. All I was asking was for a refund of that money or at least a credit for another stay. It was clear this was an honest mistake and with everything going on with covid 19 you would think people would show just a little more empathy about taking peoples money what is nothing to some is a lot to others. It was more aggravating that Melissa flat out told me that I would not get to talk to a manager because he wasnt going to give my money back I said will i would like for him to tell me that. So they where purposely not letting me speak to anybody.
I stay at Choice Hotels properties for business and pleasure because they represent good value. I find clean rooms, good staff, a safe environment and everything I need for an enjoyable stay. I find Quality Inns particularly enjoyable and this one fits the bill in all respects.Roger at the front desk was great.JUST A THOUGHT: If we would all leave a dollar bill or two and the spare change in our pocket on top of a piece of paper marked For Housekeeping at the end of our stay we could make the world a little better place.
Terrible. The room was not clean. The bedroom air condition unit was blowing out stinking air, and we had to turn it off. Hot breakfast food was cold. Server was stretched out completely asleep in a chair in the dining room. We could not find utensils, and neither could the receptionist. Missing and stained ceiling tiles in the dining room
There was a bad chemical or bug spray smell during the three days of stay. I made a report and was not offered another room to move from the odor. There were rooms next to me being renovated so when i told the maintenance guy he said that repair was being done next door. I heard a lot of banging as well couldnt rest nor feel good from the nausea from smell. I called to report at front desk and all I got was sorry and unsure what it is with smell. I love the hotel and use it each time Im in the region and never had a problem before.
The hotel was old building but had gotten a good review from someone who has been staying there. We required a handicap room and found it may not be in the same standard as other rooms that may be on the upper floor? Though parts of the room were updated ( carpet, bed linens etc) but the door didnt fit properly, the curtains didnt close properly ( too small) so that light and possibly people could see in the room, bathroom was too old and adding a curved shower rod does not make in great. Though the hotel management can not guarantee the quality of the people staying in the rooms and more importantly their behavior but after seeing the back of the hotel and our initial impressions we should have left then.
Period.
One of the worst hotel experiences Ive had, and I stay in a lot of hotels. The property was a disaster. Everything was either broken, missing, dirty, or something was wrong. I had to climb the stairs with my luggage because the elevator was broken. The room smelled like cigarettes, even though it was a nonsmoking room. Went to use the exercise room and the lock was broken, so the front desk attendant had to come open it. Most of the equipment in the exercise room was broken. Went to get in the shower after my workout, had no towels in the room. The drain was clogged so I got to stand in dirty shower water. Ill stop here, but my entire stay was one malfunction after the other. I spoke to the GM on the way out the next morning about my stay, she simply acted like she was used to it, gave me a small discount and an Im sorry. Moral of the story...STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE
I was quite impressed with the new furnishings and designs of the newly renovated guest rooms. A lot of bang for the buck extremely accommodating staff. The Wi-Fi signals work very strong and consistent. I didnt wake up in time to take advantage of the breakfast offerings so I cannot comment on those.
This is an older hotel but some recent upgrades to the rooms make it acceptable. The temperature in the room was impossible to get comfortable. It was either to hot or too cold. I kept having to turn the heater on and off as the thermostat would not adjust.Breakfast selection was very limited. By the time I arrived almost everything was gone and it appeared that no attempts were made to keep anything else out. I ended up going to Dunkin Donuts to get coffee and donuts. All in all it was an ok stay. I honestly couldnt say if I would stay there again or not.
This hotel was a disappointment. The outside of the building is shabby, the lobby is worn. The rooms have new furniture and fixtures, however, the rooms themselves, the actual structure needs to be overhauled. The door to our room would not close unless we used force, the TV went wonky, the wall paper is peeling off the bathroom walls. The outside courtyard looks tired. Our room was quiet and clean, the staff are polite and helpful.
Friendly staff. Room was updated and clean. Bathroom had mold around top of tub and wall. Arrived for breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Almost everything was gone or used up. Staff refreshed, but took time. Machine for waffle machine was stopped up. Took for ever to fill up cup. One apple available a little bigger than a golf ball. Cleaning and breakfast staff needs training or supervision. Quality Inns are usually better than this
This hotel provided good accommodations for the price. Rooms and facilities were clean and maintained well. Appreciated the micro-fridge and microwave in the room. Beds were not the most comfortable weve experienced, but acceptable for a short stay. Breakfast was minimal and could be improved by being regularly replenished as needed.
The room was not cleaned properly there was shampoo bottles, chip bags and soda cans left in the room from prior guest. When it was brought to check out desk attendant she was very rude about it. I explained that I’m not looking for a refund I just wanted to bring it to her attention to so they could find a solution for future guest such as do spot checks or speak to the house keeper. She was very rude and she she will do absolutely nothing.
I stayed in Thomasville for a weeding and I was looking for a hotel where I could also take my dog. The reviews on this hotel were ok. Some of the other hotels that took dogs such as Days Inn said, they were a cheap highway hotel and this one said medium priced and was a conference center so I thought it would be a nice hotel. The first room I went in smelled SO bad, there was no way I could stay in it. The front desk person was very nice and moved me to a different room. It was ok, but...the rooms are not very nice at this hotel! The parking lot for the back rooms was full of people all during the night and I was scared to death to go outside and walk my dog. I would not go back to this hotel ever again even if the rooms were free! Not a good place for a single female or a family.
Older property maintained to minimum Quality standards. Property shares courtyard and pool with Econolodge. Rooms were clean and updated better than exterior. I stayed in a CHOICE property more than One Hundred and Twenty nights last year and the Breakfast food quality and choices at this location were the worst by far. Sausage gravy was awful...did not taste like any other location I have visited. The egg discs were dry and hard...probably left over from previous day. Minimal bread and danish offerings. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I was recognized as a Diamond member and given a nice cookie and water snack.
The way to get into the rooms is very different from other motels. I had a difficult time getting into my room on several occasions, but the staff was very helpful. The only down side to my visit was that the rain several nights previous to my arrival was so heavy that the roof leaked in the breakfast room. The staff was very apologetic about the mess and the manager had the restaurant/bar opened so the guests would have a dry place to eat.
This is an older property with rotten wood on the outside of the buildings. Even though we had a non-smoking room, clearly at one time it was a smoking room and the room smelled of stale smoke. The bathroom floor was new and the countertop was granite - an attempt at renovating the room. The mattress was not comfortable, the pillows were very small and lumpy and walls in the room had been painted in patches - not the entire wall. The ceiling had some sort of mystery stain on it and the carpet was not very clean. This is not a property where I would stay again.
Rooms are very disgusting. Not the kind of dirty you can clean, but only can be fixed by burning or tearing out and complete renovation. Steel door to room was warped like ATF had raided it recently. Toilet paper was LOCKED in a secure dispenser. I can only assume the degee of toilet paper crime that must exist to require one to secure it in a LOCKED device. I put bags on my shoes in order to walk on carpet so as to not get the bottom of my shoes dirty. I could smell the body in the room, but never found it.I do not want to come across as negative, so the lobby and staff were nice and the lines in the parking lot where very straight (professionally done). The lightbulbs in the room were energy efficient. The faucet had both warm and cold water available.Look elsewhere.
Older property that has been updated and maintained well. Grounds and rooms are clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. Richard was a pleasure to deal with during check in. Breakfast options are normal Quality Inn offerings but the execution of the basics (coffee, juice, milk, fruit ) was lacking on the day I stayed.
The front end staff treats you like you are friends and they are extremely helpful in the check in and out process. We had one minor problem with the programming of the television and even though it was 8:00 p.m. a staff member came to the room to provide whatever assistance necessary. The entire area was extremely clean and well maintained. If there were one suggestion to make it would be to have a bar area or machines for late night snacks.
This hotel is old and worn out. It is also matched up with an Econo Lodge. I only stayed here because I was 3 nights away from Diamond status. So I decided to bite the bullet. I typically stay at the Best Western hotel and conference center or the Holiday Inn Express. They are much nicer and newer. The room was fairly clean but dingy. The breakfast was a joke and truly pathetic. I reluctantly grabbed a cinnamon bun and a coffee to go the first morning. The second morning I just went to a gas station. I don’t typically write reviews but I would avoid this place unless you are desperate for points or status.
My bath tub was dirty. I checked in late so I could not get anyone to clean it. We were in town for a graduation and reserved three rooms and everyone said the same thing about there bathtub not being cleaned. I literally had to put a small towel down to keep my feet from having direct contact with the tub. I would not stay here again.
Find a different place to stay unless you dont mind a dirty smelly place to stay. The smell will hit you as soon as you walk in the door of the front desk. My thought was to turn around but they had me I prepaid. The grounds were dirty and unkept including the outside doors. The dining area YUCK chairs and floor were VERY DIRTY the hall walking to the dining area smells worse than the front desk area. The outside of our tub was dirty There are 2 good things I can say about this hotel the lady at the front destroy was pleasent and the sheets were clean.
I arrived very early in Thomasville and was allowed to check in. I appreciated this very nice gesture. Mr. Willie was breaking down the breakfast when I arrived but he went into the kitchen to get me something to food. The staff here is great. The rooms are clean and newly remodeled. I love this hotel.
Property is in desperate need of cleaning and updating. Our air conditioner in our room didnt work properly and housekeeping did not come at all during our 2 night stay. Front desk was very unhelpful and breakfast area was out of most everything the entire window of time breakfast was served.
We have stayed here four or five times. We love Thomasville, and this hotel has good access to the town. This time the breakfast attendants (we had a different one each morning we stayed here) needed some prompting to refresh depleted breakfast items, but other than that our stay was good. The staff is pleasant and helpful.
Terrible, took around an hour to check in since the employee at the front desk didnt know how to work the computer. We requested connecting rooms and they instead tried to give us two rooms across the hall from one another. We got this changed and then got two connecting rooms with people in one of them. After all of that we finally got two connecting rooms with nobody in either one, but one of the rooms didnt have a light in the bathroom. Both of these rooms were also dirty the office chair was sticky and the sheets didnt seem to have been changed from the last person. The only good thing was the breakfast. TLDR: Terrible Hotel, the name quality inn should b changed to Mediocre Motel.
I stayed overnight at the Quality Inn & Suites Conference Center because I was in town for a friends daughters wedding. The check-in was very easy. The location was very convenient. The room had a nice comfortable queen size bed. The room also included air conditioning, a good refrigerator, a TV, an ironing board and iron, a hair dryer, and was clean. It also included free WiFi. A continental breakfast was also included with my stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Very disapointed with this hotel. Reserved 2 rooms 3-months in advance and the hotel gave one room away to another guest who did not have an advance reservation, despite 7:00 AM next day room guarantee policy, and 5-day advance notification as to when we were arriving to avoid any issues. Only room left was a smoking room that they booked us in, which they did not advise at the front desk. Did not know it was a smoking room until we walked in the room and the smell of cigarette smoke smacked us in the face. At after 11:00 on a rainy night, we were not about to go wandering around to try to find another hotel. Rooms were fair at best. Just a general overall lack of attention to detail in cleaning the rooms, inclduing bedsheets in one room that had blood stains on them, and wallpaper and paint peeling. Breakfast buffet was very unimpressive, but hey, its free, what should you expect.
The clerk who waited on us was very nice, but everything else was not. First we were told about the choicerewards program and that if we signed up we would get $50 gift card for staying to separate stays. The clerk had me fill out the application and call the choicerewards program to book the reservation which I did. When I went back the next day she told me to make sure I called in the reservation again to qualify for the $50 gift card. I did just that, but now that I call choicerewards I am told no we do NOT qualify because we stayed two consecutive nights even though she told me we would if I called two separate times.... We were traveling for 12 days and stayed at 3 other hotels...... IF I would of been told the proper information we would of definitely stayed at another qualifying hotel!!! Also when my children were swimming and we went back to the room we could not get in. The lock to the door had broke and no electronic key they had would work...... we had to wait about a half an hour for the manager who seemed a tipsy to come and drill the lock off. The switched us rooms, but offered no discount or anything for the inconvenience. The room they switched us to we also had problems with the door jamming and had to fight with it to get it to open. The one time we thought we were going to have to call the front desk to be busted out of the room. You can tell it is in need of some repairs. In the morning for the free breakfast the man working got on to my 6 year old son for accidentally filling his cup up with too much juice. I do not need a hotel employee getting on to MY son about an accident, which took a napkin to wipe up. I am the parent NOT him! We will definitely NOT be staying at this hotel again!
I enjoyed our stay. We booked a suite for myself, son, daughter-in-law and grandson and had lots of room. Having two bathrooms, 2 TVs and sofa was wonderful and the king size bed was very comfortable.Check-in was fast and the staff is very helpful and polite. I will always stay here when Im in Thomasville.
I wrote an earlier review in detail, this will be highlights.Rugs damp eight feet into the room due to leaking air-conditioner. Mold will be an ongoing issue.Room left open after housekeeping done; fortunately we returned at about 4pmFront desk opened our door while sleeping and chain stopped her entry. She proceeded to pound on door until we awakened after second series of pounds. She said, youre not supposed to be in this room. I told her we had paid for the first night in Choice hotel points and the second in cash and to go check at the front desk. When checking out, there was an apology. When I came home, there was a full charge and I called the Hotels guest relations, Rebecca (Becky). She said the desk clerk (who initially said she was housekeeping) thought the room was empty and she was looking for a spare room for a late morning guest due to overbooking (lots of empty car parking spaces in the parking lot) and that we had been listed as a no show. I suspect she was looking for a room to take a nap in. My husband already had his gun in his hand (permitted) and there could have been a tragedy. Ive been promised a half rebate, but not yet as of three days later.Breakfast was inferiors with no bacon or sausage when we were there and only about four tables to eat at with this FULL HOUSE.
Worst stay ever! Employees are big on telling guest that the hotel is being renovated when theyre actually doing touch-ups. I had a halfway new room with the same yucky dirty raggedy mattress that was there before they threw some paint on the wall and tile in the shower. I can go on and on about this crappy place but I want! I will say Mina, Diane and Amir are the best!
Was sent to a room that was torn apart..front desk person moved us to another room. Room was fine, ac worked well. Pool looked wonderful from 2nd floor but when we went down to swim, there was a terrible odor, and upon closer inspection, pool had black algae on steps and along the sides of the pool. Since it was in the 90s, we really werent happy not being able to use the pool.
Discusting hotel. Walk in. Dirty toilet. Rust on the iron holder and coat rack, porcelain coming off the tub in spots. Im not making this part up. I opened the microwave to heat up some food and there was a roach crawling in there. Ive been here an hour and a half saw three so far. Dont stay there even if it means you have to sleep in your vehicle. Oh and mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. 0 stars would be appropriate.
I have stayed at this hotel for business for the last 3 yrs or more.. I now stay most of the weekend here also besides work. The staff is wonderful..I have had the pleasure of getting to know them all personally.. You want find a better staff that is down to earth and make it their business to make sure any complaints are handled.. The cleaning staff are very friendly and do their job well sometimes more than their job to make sure your rooms are cleaned to your satisfaction..Give this motel a try,you wont be sorry that you did..Penny Smith
The motel was located nearby several shops, including a Walmart, TJ Maxx, Belks, Bealls, and several fast food places Waffle House, McDonalds, Chick Fil A and Taco Bell. The motels parking lot gets crowded at night due to a bar/lounge right next to the lobby. We came to town for a wedding and it also being graduation season the rates everywhere else were a lot higher. The motel is being renovated but the final product still falls short. The greatest thing about it is that if you just need a comfy bed for a couple of nights this place will do. However, I dont recommend it for a long stay. The front lobby attendant and the gentleman in the breakfast area go above and beyond to meet your expectations. This to me is their selling point. Dont go in with high expectations and you wont be dissappointed.
This is an old hotel. When you enter the lobby, you immediately smell a mold or mildew type odor. Our room also had a very strong mold or mildew odor. We actually went to a nearby Walmart and purchased a can of Lysol spray and sprayed the room several times, but the odor would always return. The mattresses were not all that good either and should be replaced.
On April 21st I had the privilege to stay at the Quality Inn Thomasville Ga... First of all I enjoyed the southern hospitality, This is the only hotel with a Soulfood Buffet and a Sports Bar Santobes is a place I will make my spot when ever I am in this Town! The rooms are nice and clean and i was able to get a smoking room!
The rooms are nice and have included a microwave, and fridge. For the price you pay, its well worth its value. TV has plenty of channels and includes HBO. Stayed here fleeing from Irma and the staff and local community went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome.
Good to see renovating, but if a gues reserves a room type and guarantees with credit card , this should be honored or at least a courtesy call to explain any issues. I feel my room should have been discounted a lot more due to my reservation did not match the room I was assigned.
Stayed October 2018 - My stay was right after a hurricane but there are some things that are unexceptable. The mattress has some type of brown gunk all over. There was a LOT of gung/dirt all under the mattress as well. There were hair pubes in the bath tub and on toilet. The room smelled like a smoker when they said it was a non-smoking room. Also room service only made up one of the two beds in our room... odd...
Hotel was being upgraded, upgrades obviously were not in customer service, quality sleep environment or issue resolution within your hospitality job. Overall last 3 choice hotels have been terrible; booking Best Western Plus, Hilton and Marriott hotels here forward. Debating if using up points and rewards are even worth it.
The rooms we were assigned were not clean at all. The sheets were dirty,( stains and hair was on the sheets )and the floors had not been vacuumed ( crumbles of sheet rock/caulking residue was noted along all the baseboards in the entire room). Also a dried dirty washcloth was hanging on the shower curtain rod in the bathroom that had hair on it as well ! This was beyond nasty in my opinion ! We were having our family reunion that weekend , so the rooms at this hotel had been reserved in advance for multiple members of our family whom were in town for the weekend reunion.. Each of us all agree that the we would not book this hotel ever again due to its uncleanliness.
Overall, this hotel is average. But the breakfast was beyond disappointing. The ONLY hot thing available was coffee. No eggs, breakfast meats, waffles. NOTHING. At 7:00AM there was 3 muffins, a couple sweet rolls and 2 bagel halves, one banana, one bruised apple and something red wrapped in plastic wrap. The breakfast attendant was sitting in the reception area playing on her phone in view of the desk clerk. Tell me they care!!!!
There was one hand towel in the room. The phone in the room was not working or able to contact the front desk. When I walked up to tell the front desk she brought me two full size towels. But, was apologetic and said that they have new maid staff. No offer to upgrade or recognition for Elite Diamond status.
I paid for a suite however the suite did NOT have a phone, TV in the bedroom, microwave, or refrigerator. There were dirty sheets on the pull out sofa. Also while I was walking to my room another customer was complaining about being given a room that was already taken.... and how he has walked in on a family. I was always looking over my shoulder fearing someone would walk in on us. I don’t think I’ll be staying at another Quality Inn EVER again especially not this one!
Beautiful Hotel in GeorgiaWe just came back from an amazing stay at Quality Inn & Suites Thomasville, GA and loved it. We have stayed in many other Georgia hotels, and this one is by far the best. Front desk was very friendly. The service was good. The room was great, beds comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean... The rooms have great amenities like Hair dryer, Air conditioning, Refrigerator and Microwave. Overall a GREAT STAY, if we come to Georgia again, we will stay here.
I recently had lunch here on a strong recommendation of a friend and I was less than impressed. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, however, the food was ho-hum at best. Not sure what actually qualifies as soul food, but just taking chicken legs and dropping them in a vat of gravy doesnt seem right to me. Very small selection, unclean facilities as well. It wasnt a HORRIBLE experience, but I will not be returning.
It was OK could have been better.I was looking for a more remodel hotel. The rooms could have been better and more clean than what they was TV was blurry and Wi-Fi didnt work at all and it was ppl walking around at night looking suspicious and the heat needed work on it no drink machines worked and no snack machines
Our stay at the Quality Inn in Thomasville was very nice. The staff was extremely nice and professional when checking in and checking out. This is the 3rd time we have stayed here so we would be closer to my husbands doctor appointment the next morning. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.
Actually, l wanted to work here and tried to stick it out as a house keeper but, it didnt work out as planned. This facility is nasty and the way some of the house keepers operate here is unacceptable. They pick and choose what they want to do when they get ready to do so. I walked off one day and he actually called me back not sure if he had realized I had done so or not. I also took the time out and sat down with him about why I did not want to take the house keeping position.... I was way over qualified for that and I had to much back ground in management to just settle. It was a new thing for me but, hey being a receptionist would have probably been pretty cool!
- Room smelled like smoke. Asked for non-smoking as I don’t smoke nor like the smell of it.- WiFi was poor! There is no plug to plug in a personal router.- Asked for a bottom room floor and wasn’t able to get. - Both refrigerator and air conditioning was OFF. Typical of “foreign operated” hotels.
So the day after the hurricane in Tallahassee as a first responder and up for more than 72 hours u made a reservation for my family for the weekend off a small phone. Once they arrived we found out that the dates were wrong the guy at the front desk said that he would cancel the incorrect dates a week later found out that I was stilled charged for dates upcoming an neither the manager or corporate would refund or cancel. Then three days after the dates we didnt use they charmed me 226 two more times for a total of over 650 dollars for a room we didnt use or need and was told it was canceled. We will never stay in ANY quality inn ever again. Poor business practices and customer service.Be aware.
I would recommend this hotel for over night or make be a week-end stay. The breakfast selection was very good and staff was greatI had reviewed the on-line comments and was some what uneasy, however, once I arrived I was set at ease. The rate and quality of service was definitely above average. I am glad I stayed.
Seems like they are currently trying to fix the place up. Paint peeling overhead in shower, bad paint job on bath tub, linens arent as nice as they could be, carpet peeling away from walls, pool area not safe for toddlers due to gate locks broken, however, the staff is awesome, the breakfast from Mr Willie is good!
Second worst stay ever. Room was dirty paint falling and hanging from bathroom ceiling. The counter were dirty and the desktop had soda dried hard that had to be there for over more than one stay. The pillows on the beads were nonexistent and the mattresses kept pinging from the springs every time you moved. The breakfast was kept to such a minimum as to save from putting anything out for customers. We along with other had to keep asking for items. Ie cups butter syrup. They were so bad that they even cut the sausage patties in half.
The staff at the Quality Inn was very helpful and polite. They welcome you with your little pet. You can start your morning off with a nice breakfast, or go down to the lobby and get coffee anytime of the day. I did enjoy our stay there while we were in Thomasville, Ga.
There was a large cockroach in my room!!! I called the front desk and they were not sure how to handle the situation! I finally kill it MYSELF WITH MY SHOE!!! I did NOT SLEEP WELL AT ALL!!!There is no rubber molding around the hotel room door which would have kept this discussing “incident” from happening!!I have video of the “incident” as we as pictures I took that night. I also took video & pictures the next morning that show how much sunlight comes in at the bottom of the door. As well as between the door and the door jam. Which shows how wide the gap is around the door.
Unacceptable. Water came out of the light fixtures in the room (or urine). They never even cleaned up the next day. I told them I was leaving and wanted my money back and was rudely treated. I assure you all 400 people at the event I was attending were told of my discusting experience .
There is no quality at this Quality Inn because its disgusting! The people working at this hotel when I arrived were not pleasant and unprofessional. The room, lobby, and grounds were in need of much updating. Plus the smell of wet dog in the lobby was unbearable. This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had!
Needs updating -everything in the room!!! The room smelled, and the carpet was very old and in need of replacing. The bathroom needed to be updated and shower head higher. The bed was uncomfortable and the electrical outlets needed to be added due to cpap users not enough outlets.
From reservation to overnight stay the entire experience was excruciating. Reservation service could barely speak english. Room was supposed to be king or double queen, and we got a single double bed. Breakfast is a poor substitute for food..Desk service was NO help in trying to recify situation.Recommend NOT staying there period.
The staff & all people were very nice & helpful in every situation from ck. in to ck. out & the food was great as well as people taking care of the kitchen were very cordial to us too. The parking was good & the rooms were very clean as well as we were taken care of as we should have been.
I cant believe this...today is Tuesday 11:55PM... group of people making constant noise. Kind of party in the room next to me. Cant sleep with noise.....I never had this type of situation in the Hotel... no wonder why their reviews are sucks. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Going to ask them refund.
Nice rooms the bathtub was a whirpool style but it didnt work other then that its a nice place to stay. The only thing I did find a little disturbing was when I went to my car the the first morning I woke up and there was a random guy asleep in the lobby with his coat on and his bags by his side.
The Hotel rooms was full of Roaches. When the staff was alerted regarding the problems no one came to spray. The mangement staff said to kill the bugs yourself. I was moved to anothet room. Later that night more roaches came outTalking with other guest. There was roaches in their rooms and bed. They too was transferred to another roach roomMangement did not ever come to spray for the bugs.
I have stayed at this motel for over 2 months with no problems. The motel was clean and staff was friendly. The resturant up front has great food and I wish that I had found this out sooner. I would have eaten there more often. For a open motel/balcony this is a great motel.I would recommend.
Got off to a not so good start when the desk clerk was outside smoking when we arrived and there was a sign they said she was helping a guest. the room was dark and had a neglected feel about it and it smelled of old bleach. House keeping did not have on even a name tag let alone a uniform

2022-05-31Cheap rooms so that was a plus. Bathroom was so tiny you had to step into the shower to close the door. Would have made more sense for the door tonopen the other way. Awesome shower though. Room smelled. It was a smoking room but it smelled stale, like it had been closed up for a while. Beds and pillows were comfy, staff was nice. Pool closes early so didnt get to swim. Breakfast is included but we did not get up for it. Lots of noise all night long, possibly not from other motel guests.

2022-05-23BUGS!My partner and I have visited this hotel and its conjoined Econo Lodge once or twice a month for a year. It has never been great - cheap, worn linens; cigarette smoke seeping through the walls; etc., but after the disaster of the last few visits, we will never stay here again.Three visits ago our room was overrun by roaches as soon as the lights were out. Disgusting, and impossible to sleep. They did offer us the next stay for free, so we returned. But never again. 12 hrs after this last stay, I was covered in swollen, itchy, miserable bedbug bites, dozens of them. The clerk we spoke to when we called did NOTHING. He simply said, Okay. Thanks, and hung up.This hotel is dirty, unkempt, and hazardous. Dont stay here

2022-03-07Positive: nothing Negative: First room I went in smelled like a fead rat. Second room they gave me the floor in the vanity area plus the bathroom had shoe prints all in there. Then the bathtub was dirty, the tub didnt drain hardly at all, the bed protector was nasty.

2022-04-26I stayed here on april 25 in room 105. I normally stay at this hotel because im on a travel assignment. I normally check the bed but this night I didnt. I woke up to BED BUGs bite all over my back and arm. I collected them in a napkin and took them to the front desk. She offered another room but that room has a dead bug on the pillow. Noone has contact me about this incident. This is very unacceptable. For $83 dollars a night do not book here!!

2021-12-09Positive: It was convenient for meeting close friends. There were many restaurants in close proximity. Negative: The smell was unpleasant. The setup in restroom was inconvenient for plus size patrons. We could not close the door to the toilet for privacy. The beds were uncomfortable. Definitely not worth the price that we paid for which was essentially to sleep.
