They know their Miata stuff in ATL area. Period. Also very friendly staff having honest opinions.
They are great, the whole process has been painless. They communicated well about issues, gave me honest answers, and stood behind their work. I have my NB towed 40+ miles to them with issues because it is worth it.
I recently got into the Mazda Miata. I purchased a car out of state that had some vibration issues and I almost had buyers remorse. The car looked great but ran down the road like a turkey. I called the team at R Speed. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive. The team looked over the car and made recommendations of what the car really needed. They did not sell me anything I did not need and they know the Miata very well. I got some new shocks and tires. Im overjoyed with the outcome. The car runs like a Rockstar! I felt like I was speaking with a trusted advisor with the staff versus just going to a mechanic. I trust R Speed and they will be performing my repairs and needs for my two Mazda Miatas!
These guys are pros who have actually written the book on Mazdas venerable little convertible. If youre nearby and are willing to let somebody else tool on your car, these are the guys to see. You wont be disappointed.

I have been going to Rspeed for over 10 years. They are about 50 miles from where I live south of Atlanta, but I would drive 100 miles if needed. The know what they are doing. They have reasonable prices, could not be any friendlier. Joe, Hector, Alex and Taylor are awesome. I have contacted them with all kinds of questions about my car, even after hours sometimes. They NEVER hesitate to help. II cannot say enough good things about them.

This very well might be the best place in the country to have your Miata serviced and/or upgraded. No other shop will go to such great lengths of perfectionism as these guys will. They provide cost-effective, honest, timely, courteous, and expert work every single time. In my opinion, R-Speed is the gold standard for enthusiast car care. I have been extremely pleased doing business with RSpeed this year. I bought a 2018 ND in March and they’ve taken care of all of my general maintenance. I like the fact they are genuine car enthusiasts that love what they do and you can see the passion they put into their work. I feel safer putting my car in their hands instead of a Mazda dealership service department.
Called all around Georgia and R-speed was the only shop that had a rain rail in stock after moss didn’t ship in time. After around an hours drive, pulled into a parking lot full of Miata’s and instantly felt at home. This was exaggerated by the friendliness and how knowledgeable the staff was, and I was even allowed to look around at the wildly cool projects they had going on while I was shown what options I had for different rails. My experience at R-speed was the most welcome I’ve ever felt at a shop, I can’t say enough good things about these guys. Will absolutely be going back for any more parts I need.(Call first before you drive in for parts, they picked up almost instantly and knew exactly what I needed/ what it cost.)Thanks again y’all! -James A
Hector really is the best!!!!! This is the only place to take a Mini Cooper! He really knows what to do and R-Speed has great prices. There is nothing bad to say about these mechanics, they are good people who really do care about the customer. So nice and friendly!!! Do not bother with the dealer prices, come here and get quality work for a fair price!!!!
These guys were fantastic to fit me in on short notice for a tech inspection on my Miata and did a very thorough job and I had a great time on track with my car! They should be your goto for anything Miata related and will be surely for me in the future!

I got introduced to RSpeed from a Miata owner at Caffiene and Octane back in 2011.Josef, Hector and the rest of the RSpeed guys have taken care of me every time I came by whether its buying a 1.8L motor, I.L. These guys are great! They gave me an honest overview of my car and they were very timely with my car. They also gave me some really good advice on my car and how to know when my battery is going in the car, as that was part of my issue...other car places didnt even think of the solution that they did! Yes they are very professional on miatai do Recommand BUT!they are always full on schedule and i have to wait 2 weeks to get my miata service.
Havent had to visit the shop yet but the website is super easy to use, overall good prices on parts with discount codes applied. the staff is friendly over the phone and the informative videos they post on social media are really helpful.
Purchased parts online. One showed up damaged despite good packaging. They got a replacement out immediately. Great people to work with.

I purchased a 2001 Miata about a month ago and I had my frist experience at RSPEED this week...I have never in my life received such quality of service at a repair shop. Hector took the time to walk through step by step what I wanted to do to my Miata, and helped me develop a great plan.The labor rates are much cheaper than the dealer, the advice is genuine/accurate, and the entire staffs knowledge of the Miata is more than impressive. They even showed me some of their own Miatas to give me ideas for future work and upgrades.I will not be taking my Miata anywhere except RSpeed. Thanks to the entire staff there for an amazing experience.

Did an excellent job troubleshooting issues on my 1991 Miata. There is a reason why so many Miata owners bring their cars here. Price was very reasonable, and service excellent. Will definitely bring my car back if it is something I can do myself.

I order a miata water pump. It was advertised as new, made in Japan. I received their shipment a few days later. Open box to find instrument cluster hood and cam bolts for some guy in Florida. Email response was that our order/shipping system generated an error. They agreed to ship my water pump by expedited shipping and include label to return erroneous shipment.When I received the next box, it in fact contained the water pump packed loosely in the shipping box, free to move around. Water pump was not packaged in its own box like you would expect for a NEW water pump. The water pump had no markings on it saying was made in Japan, China, or Mexico. I was also surprised to receive PAPER gaskets that we’re the thinnest I have ever seen. The only choice is to purchase metal Mazda OEM gaskets.They have assured me that the pump was manufactured in Japan and was unboxed prior to shipping for some difficult to understand reason.That’s my experience.

I first met Joseph, Hector and all of his staff in 2000 when I purchased my 1994 R-Package Miata showing 62K miles. It now has 125K miles and looks and drives better than the day it was built. I have been using them for every aspect of repair, maintenance parts and custom parts, every year since. As far as Im concerned no organization stands taller in the saddle than these guys! They have solved issues, that other places only shrugged their shoulders, saying they failed to know where to begin. Regardless of the age and level of repair of your Miata give these guys a try knowing your Miata is in the competant hands of experts in their field offering fair pricing and speedy results! JK
R Speed is the best place to take your miata. My 1990 had serious timing issues, and Hector had it back to running like new after it had been previously pinging. Non miata mechanics had looked at it, and been unable to figure out how to handle the issue. These guys are experts, if you want every small detail about a miata, they know it.
The best. Love their work and authenticity. Love how they know the ins and outs of these cars. The only people I trust. I live near lake Lanier and I’m always willing to drive up to them for my car. WELL WORTH IT

Alex, Wayne, and Laura are awesome and provide a fantastic service to the Miata Community; They did a fab clutch job on my 2001 NB and put the BG Syncro-Shift-II in the gear box for me - just wow! I have owned Miatas for 25 years now and I trust few mechanics. I usually perform ALL my own work, including clutches - and I have trust issues, LOL!But I needed a shop I could really trust this time around, as I have other projects I am working on - and these guys are the real thing. Work was performed September 2016; Get the BG in your six speed while you are in there!

Rspeed is amazing, took my car in to get a tech inspection before a track day, during the tech they ended up fixing some vacuum leaks, adjusted my timing and idle. Just simply the best there is.

Really its not possible to beat the service and hospitality. I feel bad his named blanked my mind but he showed me everything wrong and showed me things to look out for. Just had my egr valve spark plugs replaced and even asked me what color I wanted them😀😀. Will definitely be back. For projects

2022-06-14I could not find a shop that would install new aftermarket sway bars on my 1994 Miata in the Nashville area. So, after some web surfing I came across R speed in metro Atlanta. The team at R speed are terrific, they installed my sway bars, and changed the transmission fluid, and brake fluid. While I was there they pointed out some cracking in my radiator. So, I had them replace it at the same time. At R speed I chatted with several other customers / Miata owners and all were very complementary of the R speed team. Would definitely recommend them for servicing / repair of your Miata.

2022-05-21Purchased a gauge hood for my 1992 Mazda Miata. When the package came it was double boxed and wrapped in bubble wrap. 2021-07-09This shop has been the best experience I have ever had at any repair shop, ever. They are knowledgeable about Miatas, respond quickly, and bent over backwards to do as much as they could in a short amount of time. When I move out of GA, If I had the money I’d have my car shipped to them just to be serviced there.

2020-07-15I first took my 1991 NA Miata to R Speed in August of 2018. It was a basket case car that I was given for free. Since then I have continued to be amazed by the level of customer service and technical skills of the staff at R Speed. They have been invaluable along the way in making my car roadworthy again (and now very track-ready too with lots of racing upgrades).
