Scamming people.Horrible experience. The hostess was extremely rude upon arrival. The wait staff forgot a few of our orders. And once we were ready for the check they only brought us the machine to pay without seeing an itemized list; the price was suspiciously high so I pressed the back button which then showed the itemized list and us being charge for 4 items we didn’t order. Once we addressed it with the waiter, he brought us an itemized receipt with them still charging us for an item we didn’t receive, and the machine showing a total of $152, $50 tip (50% tip?!!) for his whole team which we weren’t allowed to select - we weren’t a group, only 2 people. The manager cleared up the check but made no offer to discount our tab. Only once we paid he then offered to give us a card to get an item free NEXT time, as if there will be a next time. This place needs to be shut down so a respectable business and people can thrive in its place.
Bitter Sweet. Horrible service but Shareable appetizers were the best Ive tasted! Sushi was excellent however main entries were not great. I thought the atmosphere would be GREAT considering it was my husbands birthday. We sat at the front door for a VERY long time before we were seated. It was not busy at all. Servers were standing around in groups just talking. They forgot one of the entries, the waitress said she did not hear us order it. Also my husbands food came out last and cold and it was his birthday SMH. Although these were major mistakes the waitress never got an attitude and we didnt have to pay for his food even though they cooked it over. I will return only for appetizers, the Lobster Spring Rolls and sushi but I do not expect stellar service.
I am only giving one star for the drink. The food was over cooked, the rice was mush. It seems like the food had been sitting for a while when it was served. The soup was served cold. The vegetables were just a side of over cooked mushy onions. Our server was rude. This is so disappointing because I used to like this place. The beer on tap was also served flat.
Here for friend’s birthday, we read the reviews and expect service to be bad but our server Nicole nailed it, we were a party of 8 but she still got our food and drink correct. Everything come out super quick and very tasty! Will be back for sure! If you eat here ask for Nicole! She knows what she’s doing!
This place is just so great- from the food, to the staff, everything is top tier.I just moved from NYC so I’ve been looking for my “regular” restaurant, and Ra has become that place.Despite this being about my 10th time coming here, tonight was different because we had James as our waiter. Not saying, other servers weren’t amazing but James totally took things too the next level. So courteous, so attentive, so enjoyable - truly the cherry on top of our dining experience.Highly recommend ! I will be back. Thanks James!
Jaylen was IT! The best bartender/server I’ve had here so far. He was very attentive. Before we sat down, he already had our water fixed and ready for us. He was quick and sufficient. Very great to talk to when he had the time. I’ll definitely be back to sit at the bar to drink with him. His drinks were strong and to the point and also tasty.
We had a 7:30pm reservation only to wait 45 minutes to be seated. Once we were seated the floor was wet next to our table, which caused us to slip. Our drinks took an hour to come out. We didn’t have any utensils or napkins at the table. We had to ask for some after or appetizer came out. Food was pretty good but the overall experience was terrible. Would never come back here and spend my money. Only reason why I’m giving 2 stars is because the food was decent. Otherwise I’d give a 1 star.
I love this place! I got the floor is guava punch BOWL. It was massive. Definitely should have been shared between two but I drank that $35 fish bowl concoction of delicious alcohol. 😋 sushi rolls were all amazing. Definitely a winner for me! I will definitely be back, with friends. 😅
I absolutely love this place. Great sushi for an even better price. I brought some of my friends who had never eaten sushi before and they loved it! Our server, Jasmine, was patient and informative when helping them pick what they wanted to select as their first sushi experience
By far the worst service I’ve ever had. I brought my mom for chicken, steak, and sushi. The host brought the steak but would not stay to see if it was cooked properly regardless of my request as I noticed it looked very dry. It was ordered medium but came out well done. Our waitress disappeared and the host that brought the food showed no interest in regards to how the food was. This prompted me to get up and find a manager who then did nothing to rectify the issue with the entree. The entree was never recooked and the manager, server, nor host ever came back to see how the food was even after the initial complaint. We sat and waited 45min hoping someone would fix the entree or at the very least bring the sushi out while we waited. Unfortunately I had to get up again to find the manager to cancel our orders as we left hungry and shocked at how poorly our dining experience went.
Went for Valentine’s Day, and I gotta say that basically the entire experience was terrible. There was no point in making a reservation because we still waited 30 minutes to be seated. The waitress told us that basically every item we wanted was sold out, or it was badly prepared so they weren’t selling it. We were also told that the sushi would take an hour to come out, which was the only reason we ordered some shrimp fried rice as an appetizer. The sushi came out in like 20 minutes and we had eaten all our sushi before the fried rice or my gf’s drink even got to our table, to which the waitress responded only then that cooked sushi wasn’t backed up and that appetizers and main dishes wouldn’t come out in order. I don’t understand why she never once mentioned that. Since we were done with the sushi I asked he to cancel the fried rice, and she said that was fine, but then she came back to our table 10 minutes later and asked me again if I wanted to cancel the fried rice. Another 5 minutes and she comes with the fried rice we asked to cancel and she says that they’ll take it out of our check, but when we got our check, she told us that they wouldn’t take the fried rice off, and that they would only give us a partial refund for it. Forgot to mention it earlier, but the shrimp fried rice was terrible, and for $14 it was way too small. The only reason I’m giving them 2 stars is that the sushi tasted good. I used to love this restaurant, but we won’t be coming back
Food was okay, the service left much to be desired and a lot of team members seemed to be going in and out of the restaurant, chatting on the street. There seems to be a lack of management or gross levels of indiscipline! I’ve had this experience and no thank you again. I hope this business can address their issues and this will easily be a consistently great place to dine.
Service was great. The atmosphere was nice. My daughter really enjoyed her surf & turf roll. I got the lobster & shrimp roll and its was just meh for me. I felt like it could have come out of the grocery store cooler. The sauce that came with it was nice, but a bit to floral for me.
The atmosphere of this place is really cool. However, our waitress the other night was beyond horrible. I have a lot of patience but, the service was ridiculous! We had track down our waitress all night. Every time we would try to give her the items we wanted to order, we could only order one thing at a time. She literally ran off each time, to the point I asked her to please be still and take our complete order. That was even a lot to ask. She started Dan I get in place Smh. When we finally received some of our order unfortunately it was not good. We had to send 3 different items back for not being thoroughly cooked. My night out with the girls was great! But, next time we will go somewhere else to dine
The waiter charged each of us a tip; she took 10$ tip without telling us that is a tip. She lied by saying this is the tax. I wanted to d to negotiate with them because she has to say that is the tip not charging us without telling us. I could give her more than 10$ a tip if they were not rude. They called the manager and also she was rude. They returned to us the 10$, but that is not my point; I just wanted to negotiate that with them that she should tell the customer what they charged them. We were waiting for the food for around half-hour and also for the bill we waited a long time. Also, they have to validate the parking with a sticker; I came back to them for the parking; she said we dont have, then that did it for me, and the manager said that we took free service and they also want free parking. This is my right as a customer in your restaurant. I am a customer, and they have to deal with me in a good way, they raised their voice, and they were rude. Also, the food is not super delicious. BE CAREFUL WHEN THEY CHARGE YOU.
The location itself is nice, very modern interior, the wait wasnt the issue it was the amount of time it took for the waiter to come and receiving our food. We came in at 11pm and didnt leave until 1am. That amount of time mostly was waiting to. order and obtaining our food. The Sushi was delicious! Price is as you think dining in midtown reasonable
Would not recommend this place to anyone. If I could give it 0 stars I would. We should have known to leave after sitting at the bar for 10 minutes and the bartenders walking right past us, not even acknowledging us. We decided to go in and get a table. Chris was amazing, shoutout to him. The problem lies is as we’re checking out, a waitress walks behind us and drops a ramekin of some type of sauce behind us and it gets all over us and she just keeps walking. Doesn’t say anything AT ALL until maybe 3 minutes later when she finally comes back. The manager, I should have asked her name (had big hair) handled the situation terribly. Just as bad as the server that dropped the ramekin. From 4 people who work in the industry, please do better. Your employees are a reflection of your leadership and I can see why you guys have a revolving door of servers and bartenders who continue to do poorly. Chris told us he has only been there for a month and again thank you, they don’t deserve you. Will not return.
I loved this place a few years ago. Unfortunately, it has gone downhill since the pandemic. I went here for a friends birthday dinner. It took over an hour for us to get appetizers. We all ordered dinner an ended up canceling the orders because it took forever. If you have a larger party, do not come RA Sushi Bar!
THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! It took the service 20 minutes to put together a table for 6 (that I had a reservation for). It was not busy! I was skipped over twice while ordering. They had no salmon for sushi and for any sushi made it was going to be an additional 45 min wait. The place was overly loud with no air conditioning. We packed up after our drink order and moved our party to a restaurant next door. Before all of this, the restaurant canceled my reservations twice through their booking app without calling me. They also will not ever answer the phone for questions or issues. Do not go here.
Great choice! Dim lit with upbeat music. All of the food was delicious and you cant go wrong with any of their drinks either. Very personable staff, from the host amd server. Theyre open for full dining up until 1am and validate parking from the parking garage next door. Sitting at the outdoor/indoor bar during the warm months is a great vibe as well.
This restaurant is very horrible, especially when it comes to service! The staff never move with any urgency or try to accommodate the guest in any way. When they first opened it was a nice setting and scenery and the food was quite decent. So I must say over the time it’s just been downhill the place is never to crowded so I never understand why orders are never ready for pickup, when dining in it’ll take 45min to an hour just to be seated and keep in mind it’s never packed. I asked why it took so long they said they didn’t have enough waitresses but there were 3 on the floor, but if you don’t mind spending half of your day at the Asian-American Cuisine then this is definitely the place for you.Oh and the bartenders👎🏻 Boring
We came here for my birthday dinner. The female host was extremely unfriendly and unaccommodating. We did not want to be seated near the kitchen area and asked for a different table. It’s 10pm on a Tuesday, it was empty. The restaurant maybe had 8 seated tables, 3 servers on the floor that I saw and she told us it would be a 20 minute wait 🤔 She was acting as if we were inconveniencing her when we asked for an area away from the kitchen and just jumped on her phone as we waited for an clearly open table. Comical. Our server was very sweet however we ordered a $38 drink that took over 20mins to come to the table and it came with no garnishes, literally looked like a drink that kid would serve me. She quickly corrected it and brought back a drink that looked like it was worth $38.Our food came out really fast. The zucchini came out cold and undercooked. She took it off which I appreciated. The sushi was pretty good.Overall it was just really awkward vibes in the restaurant. The workers all seemed like they really didn’t want to be there. We had to ask for every little thing. The place is just lacking customer service.
Our wait time was very short after making a reservation through open table and the host was able to accommodate our party to sit outside as requested. Our waiter Dionte was very friendly and made sure to check in on us periodically and provided us great recommendations as it was our first time. Food and atmosphere was great!
WOW!!! What an amazing night!!! I had a birthday dinner for 10 soooo much fun perfect! Our waiter (Jered im sorry i didnt get the spelling) was SO AMAZING! He was fast, informative, had jokes and rapped food to go with me lolol! Made the dinner 100x better. The food was sooo good!!! The drinks were stronggggg lolol 👀 lol. Beautiful restaurant! I always LOVE RA Sushi weve been coming here forever! Cant wait to go back!!!
I am new in Atlanta and I visited this place twice. They were good but today, unfortunately, was different than usual! We were so nice to the waitress and maybe because of that she treated us as dumb. She charged us “we were 3 people” a tip which was 3$, 3.4$ and 3.4$ without telling us. All of our orders were less than 10$. Then when we tried to understand why she did tell us, the team who works there cruelly talked with us!!! I want to say that I do not mind about the tip even if it is more than 10$ but at least let us know!!! But obviously, they did not even listen to me!!!! NOTE: we waited more than 20 minutes waiting for the orders and around another 20 mins trying to find her to ask for a bill. Not just that, there also another stuff happened.I am not gonna be here again.
Absolutely worse experience I have had in this area. This was our first time coming here and definitely the last. The food took forever to the point we just took it to go, there were also other people waiting on food and it wasnt even busy. The cook was very very much agitated and aggressive because our daughter has a gluten and diary allegey even though they have a gluten sensitive section on the menu and they said the food could still cross contaminate even though they advertise gluten sensitive items as an option so why would anything cross contaminate, I am so confused. DO NOT eat here if you have food allergies, anywhere to go or want to have just a good experience. I am so disappointed in the cook and management here. The bartender/server was awesome though.
I’m a regular and I come to happy hour all the time! I always get the scallop dynamite & the rackin roll it’s so good! My server Marquita was amazing she was so vibrant and helpful she always makes my experience a 10/10 I love her personality. She’s the reason I keep coming back.
I used to love this place. As a private chef and cafe owner I am embarrassed for this restaurant. The service is absolutely TERRIBLE… The management is dreadful… all around this restaurant definitely should not be open until it is FULLY STAFFED. Today we were today there are only TWO SERVERS, in which is fine, but if you have two servers the restaurant should be operating on a TWO SERVER BASIS. It makes no sense to seat people and have them wait an additional hour because you’re understaffed, just bite the bullet and CLOSE!!!! You’re tarnishing your business and creating negative feedback for your patrons here in Atlanta. I wish you all the best and pray you get it together
Always a great time here. Jeremy was our server this particular night and he was phenomenal. Seated the 5 of us in the party room and took great care of us. The food and drinks were delicious per usual. Ordered the filet mignon and chicken hibachi with strawberry lemon drop martinis. Happy hour is great, place is beautiful, and staff are on point.
Horrible place!!! the hostes was so rude we had a 5:00pm reservation and got there about 20 minutes early and even though there was a lot of empty tables she said we had to wait till 5So when 5 came around she proceeded to seat other people who didnt have reservation before us! And you can see the pictures of bad hostess dont ever go there. I should have read the reviews before I went
The smell of fried food hangs in the air, strangely night club feel. We were very hungry and the party I was with wanted to eat here. We had hibachi which is suspect because they bring you sautéed food from the kitchen....so we did not get to sit at a hibachi type table. I thought it wise not to have the sushi. The food was so-so. I would not go here again.
I actually kinda hate this place. After waiting an hour for the order I was expecting some nice sushi, but it was very disappointing. I gave the ice cream cone sushi thing a chance, but it was greasy and had a bitter after taste. I also got a spicy yellow tail roll, and it was not worth what I paid for. Most restaurants either excel in quantity or quality, but this restaurant does neither.
Stopped in to this downtown sushi spot with a buddy of mine who lives nearby. We had a coupon form their email list signup so we decided to give it a try. The interior ambiance was pretty cool. Big sake/rice buckets are hanging from the ceiling, lots of dark colors, and pumping music. We looked at the rolls and nothing was really peaking our interest, so we decided to split an order of chef’s choice sashimi. While our server was engaging and friendly enough, it took quite a while. So long in fact that we had to get it to go in order to make our next reservation. Using the coupon was also a bit of a pain as I had to forward them an email, they couldn’t just scan a QR code. The sushi itself was just ok. Nothing wrong, but certainly not worth the premium price, even if it is midtown Atlanta. Hate to say this, but I have other sushi places to try.
Edit: went to the restaurant to eat and service was very slow. It was an early Tuesday evening and there was hardly anyone dining. It still took over 30 minutes to get drinks and my friend was given the wrong drink. It took another 20 minutes for the right drink to come out. Server did not check on us at any point in time. I see why my delivery order never came through. Very poor customer service throughoutDo not order delivery from this restaurant. Ordered at 1:45 PM and even called to verify. My order of 3 sushi rolls was not ready at 3:05 when the driver arrived to pick it up and the driver waited an additional 15 minutes with the order still not being completed. Complete waste of time
This restaurant is very nice. I love the way they decorated the interior, it has a very nice feel. The food was pretty good, the sushi is amazing as well as the streak, but the ra-men I had was ok, it wasn’t too bad but also was not amazing. The parking is on the side so I you come and eat here ask for a parking sticker so you don’t have to pay for parking.
Im on vacation here in Atlanta and I was craving sushi and I googled sushi restaurants.I decided to give Ra a chance. My server was Marquita she recommended the Hibachi and the Orange you salty Punch Bowl she gave excellent service and was very funny with her joking manner and she was very informative about the menu. The food was very satisfying and I also was given a free edamame for being a first time customer. Definitely will be coming back
I am visiting Atlanta from Texas and this was the best place we have gone to! Me and my friends order took about 30 minutes to come and they gave us a discount! The food here was outstanding, and so was the costumer service. I will definitely come here again before I leave!
First and last time coming. Had reservations 5:30 was seated at 7. Food was awful and customer service suck. When seated everyone at my table received food I had to wait additional 25 min for my meal to come out that was cold and had no flavor and under cook. I asked for manger he had horrible attitude. Shocked he is a Gm never offered to remake the food Or how he can fix it . Just said he will “Let the kitchen know how the food taste” and walked off. Now I was shocked he was Gm I’m big on customer service and he definitely lacked that especially in his Role.My waiter was new she tried so I did tip her but I will never return
To start with, I never write reviews, but I had such a terrible experience I feel like I needed to write one. I ordered a bento box, and it took 40+ min to get my food, and it was terrible when I did get it. Chicken was overcooked, Rice was hard and burnt, and worst of all the sushi was rough and spongy instead of tasting like normal tuna. Worst restaurant experience in recent memory, I can only hope I didnt get food poisoning, but time will tell.
I was so disappointed in the quality of the food. I had high hopes as I heard from friends before that they had good sushi, but if it wasnt for the server, I wouldnt even give it 2 stars. Our server was very professional and kind. Came in and was seated quickly but the windows and had pollen all inside, which made it uncomfortable for people who suffer from allergies. Wish they would have wiped it clean. The lighting was so dark, they could have fixed the lighting for those eating inside. The drinks were ok but took such a long time. The food was not impressive. They didnt give ginger and wasabi for the sushi, we had to ask for it. The bento boxes were sub par, the salad was wilted, the chicken teriyaki was so little for the price they charge,. Ive had better food at other restaurants. They need to step up the cleaning and food, until then, I do not recommend.
We’ve been there several times over the past few years and this was a very disappointing experience. The service and food quality reminded me of a low end chain restaurant. My appetizers came out after we finished all our main courses. The food was not prepared to same standard as all our previous visits. Definitely will not be back after this experience.
Sat at the bar without service for a legit 25 minutes. Unbelievable - this would never happen in NYC or LA. I’ll come back here on an off day or a quick stop in for a drink, but I have second hand embarrassment for whoever manages this staff/restaurant. Got fast service as soon as I stopped in the bar at Tin Lizzy
Vibe was good, food was great!! We had a big party that had RSVPd weeks in advance and I feel like they could have been a little more prepared. They also need to clean their floors, it was very slippery which is nasty because how much filt were we actually stepping on, seeing that its a sushi spot.
We Enjoyed the Food Delicious, Our server was attentive but a little mix up on what was delivered to our table. We were in ATL but the Jazz Rap Fusion ahh a bit Over the top & dB too loud. Now the Rest Room, we got there 5 minutes after opening and it Smelt like a Bus Station, Urine pooled up in the corner. But my Family was happy so good visit.
Food was terrible, I would compare it to all inclusive food you get at hotel in Mexico or something. for the price we paid, Id expect better quality. Not sure why this place is always busy. We will stick to our ramen spot next door, food is always good and fair prices.
Sarah was a wonderful server to us . She is fairly new but knows the menu & gave great recommendations ! The managers Mike & Sindou were very profesional & cordial. They checked in to make sure our food & drinks were alright (they were great of course). DEFINITELY will be back soon. (:
I came in on Mother’s Day , it was very busy but I still had an amazing experience. My server helped with that , I believe her name was Marquetta. She came to the table with a bright smile , and great energy. Although some of the food took a lil long, our server made sure to keep checking in and making sure we was okay . Food was amazing had a great habachi & sushi . Will be back
Honestly!!!I come here often and always order the Shrimp and Lobster Roll!!! The Food Is Good but the service and wait times are SLOOOWWWWW!!!!! I would give them 5 stars if it didn’t always take 45 min to get Sushi after the additional 15 minutes it takes to actually get service, despite sitting at the bar in their faces. There will be 3 bartenders behind the bar all standing in 1 location which is the service bar where they make drinks for servers! Despite the entire rest of the bar, you can always find them all crowded in one location meanwhile not giving their own bar guest the attention they need. Just now, I chose to sit outside where their bar is connected & literally 2 bartenders looked me dead in my face and did not attempt to greet me or inform me that they would be right with me. God bless the manager with the sweaty back shirt bc he is clearly working hard enough for a few peoples jobs! There were also ladies beside me that had been waiting a long while as well, and they were told that there was a shift change as though that should affect the service to customers!I’m patient with this place bc the food is good and I live close by BUT if they improved wait times for service and food along with better training for staff, this spot would be 20 times better. There is definitely a lack of passion for the craft in this place!I’d still recommend Ra Sushi to anyone, just understand that you can not be in a hurry because this spot will slow you down!!!!So definitely plan to stay awhile. LolAll Love!Hope this feedback is some form of inspiration to influence change where change is needed.
We had a girls night and decided to come here for some sushi and drinks. I hesitated with my friends because the reviews are terrible and I normally wont even go if its a 4.4 or less but I took one for the team. Now let me say this. Ive worked in the restaurant industry for years so I have A LOT of patience and understanding. I am the person that will check a friend or family member if theyre just doing way too much. But this was just OFF.Rico (who was extremely friendly and training) sat us outside and the table was perfect. But then he came shortly after to let us know that he had to move us because this table was for another party. How embarrassing? But he informed us that multiple people were working the seating board so there was miscommunication. Okay, I can let that slide. But we had to wait for about another 15 minutes to be seated. We get another table and unfortunately it started raining, so WE ASKED to be moved indoors. Totally our problem, not tripping about that. But you all walked us upstairs on THE WETTEST floor Ive ever seen with no signage, no heads up, and were literally slipping and sliding everywhere. Thinking back, I honestly shouldve just fell out on the floor and sued because why would you put your customers in this predicament? We made it to our table and 5 minutes later Rico comes back with the same look on his face like I have to move yall, again. HOW EMBARASSING! So we had to walk back across this wet floor to the other side.We certainly asked if we could speak to a manager to just discuss what the deal was and make them aware. So Jay, the AGM comes over and immediately goes into defense mode and pretty much gave a Well, I cant control the rain and I said what I said attitude talking with his hands and his facial expression stated the obvious I dont care that youre not having a good experience.I was somewhat relieved when I found out he wasnt the GM because there just isnt anyway this how someone in management acts when that was not the energy we were giving. We were extremely disappointed with our experience.
The manager, LaJavious, LaJayvius(not sure how to spell it) was terrible in rectifying our issue. We were a party of 7 there to celebrate a birthday. Our reservation was for 1:30 and 5 of us received our food while 2 didn’t get their food until 3:30.When we shared that this was the second time coming to this location and not receiving our meals in a timely manner he said that he just walked in 30 minutes ago and had been putting out fires from the moment he got there. He proceeded to say that there was a party of 15 who also ordered hibachi and their meals came before our two so we just needed to understand that it would take time. He said he had a lot of cooks back there trying their best and it takes 6 different cooks to make 3 meals. TERRIBLE ! I will never be returning to this location without first speaking with a GM about him being trained on customer service and resolutions. As a customer he pretty much blamed us and the party of 15 for being there, ordering what we ordered and having an expectation that we would get it in a reasonable amount of time. Why have that many seats in the restaurant if you can’t accommodate that many guests at any one time ?Why have certain menu options if it will be too hard to serve those within a reasonable amount of time ?TERRIBLE !! Because of him, you’ve lost 7 people and more because I will shout this experience to everyone I know.
Horrible experience and customer service. I’m not sure when they started hiring all of their unprofessional staff, I’ve been going here for years and recently it’s a hot mess. Firstly, The male hostess who was supposed to seat us lied and said that the bar was closed when there was clearly people sitting at the bar and enough seating for only a party of 2. After going back and forth finally a young lady came up to us telling us that wasn’t true and got us seated at the bar. The food is not so tasty anymore. Bad temperature, sloppy and just thrown together. This restaurant needs help asap! What used to be great is now just a very mediocre restaurant with bad service. Truly sad
Husband and I went for our anniversary and unfortunately left hungry. I totally understand things being backed up and being short staffed but after almost 2 hours and watching people come in way after us and get their sushi, eat and leave we had enough. Weve been here before but probably wont come back.
I celebrated my birthday today and it was awesome! The server was very well knowledgeable of the menu and gave us excellent suggestions for sushi and drinks! Our shareable appetizers were delicious and the sushi had us wanting more! I am very appreciative of our service!!
Got there and it was dead. Was told it would be a ten minute wait. Went to the bar and the bartender was on his phone. Didn’t acknowledge us at all. Then he went and helped someone who was already there before us. We got up to leave when we noticed a woman with a cat(!) got seated with no wait. While we were leaving the bartender asked us if we were okay. Yeah dude just fine.
Me and a colleague of mine came in tonight around 12:15 to celebrate her promotion. once we set ourselves at the bar, we waited for the bartender that go by the name Darez. We waited six minutes to be taken care of, for us not to be taken care of. He stated that the bar was closed and they was not serving any more drinks. Once my colleague ask for a glass of water, he made sure to repeat himself and let my colleague know that the bar was closed that means she couldn’t even get a glass of water? We are regulars of this establishment and we come here four out of the seven days a week. never had this type of issue. please help!
Tiffany was absolutely amazing!! She never missed a beat. The vibez were good and the food was absolutely delicious. It was my first time here and I will definitely return. Hope I get Tiffany again because I didn’t see anyone else working as hard as she was working her section babeeeee!!!
How do you run out of Salmon at a sushi spot? At one point they told people they may or may not get their food because they are running out of stuff. What!? I had to flag down a waitress after like 20 minutes of sitting there looking at my empty table. She didn’t know if things could or couldn’t be added to the sushi. Not a great experience at all. Can’t say I’ll be back
It was my first and the last one in this place, we were waiting more than 20 minutes for be sitting, then we ordered and we were waiting almost 1nhour to get the food, when the food were on the table, it wasnt completely, the shrimp tempura never came, because the kitchen was closed, the bill was never split, so I never sew was it was paying. I just feel so disappointed 😞
The service during happy hour was great today. Jenora was attentive, was able to recommend choices Id like and smiled the entire time. The lobster egg rolls, spice tuna rolls, edamame and fried shrimp tacos were well prepared. Oh the wings were delicious as well but deserves more sauce which I was able to get. Definitely going back soon. The ambiance makes for a great date night.
It was a fun take out and we thought very reasonably priced until we got home. The sushi was great, the rice dishes delicious but tiny portions. They are definitely working hard to keep patrons distanced and, when people follow the guidelines, it’s a great mesh. Unfortunately, this IS Atlanta and we discovered the general public really doesn’t care.
Here goes.. We walk in and stand in the front of the hostess stand for a good 2 whole minutes before the hostess who identified herself as Kimberly (light skin dark hair cute chandelier mask) even noticed us standing there (Instagram had her attention). Then was told it was a 30 min wait which was cool with us. We attempted to go to bar and just have drinks as there were 2 empty seats but was told u have to be seated at bar u cant just sit there which was fine as well. The issue came about when after waiting 35 mins ppl who didnt have reservations was seated before us who came in after us. We asked what was going on and the hostess said o I can sit you now (as if we were forgotten) and guess where she sat us...u guessed it the exact same 2 bar seats that we attempted to sit at 35 mins prior. (The downside to those 2 seats is its extremely cold and the bartender stated the vent blows down on those seats). After being seated the bartender Grace was friendly, the food came quickly, and was really good. Definitely recommend the Viva Las Vegas Roll. I tried the purple passion margarita and it was ok. Wouldnt necessarily recommend unless u are like me and like to try different food and drinks. The ambience is nice and a great date night restaurant but please make reservations. I believe if it didnt start so bad at the hostess station and it wasnt so cold in those 2 seats it would have been a 4 or 5 star experience.
We made a reservation for 8 pm but had to wait 45 minutes for our table. But service was the worst part, waiter wasn’t nice at all, he didn’t give us a menu didn’t explain how to find a electronic one. We had to wait for him for a long time just to order food. He was rude and unprofessional. Food was fine but it’s not worth that much trouble so we are never coming back to this place.
I was recommended this place for my anniversary the place looks nice but far from it the service was the worst they didnt have nothing my wife and I ordered 4 different drinks, 3 different sushi and for dinner they didnt have shirmp and we got there early .we got there at 7:15 and left at 7:45 thats how bad this place is would never recommend I only put 1 star so I can post my review
I enjoyed the food immensely and would consider trying again. Upon arriving I had to ask waitress to clean the table as it had food stuck to it. Waitress bought out wasabi and ginger before I placed order. Saké wasnt available hot and was limited in cold. Fried rice came just before the ticket and way after the meal. They couldnt make signature drinks like mules which are on the menu. Flies were ever present and I had to fight them for my water and food. I think the waitress while she had a great attitude lacked consideration for diners. It wasnt bad but, it wasnt great.
This has been the worst experience at a sushi bar here in Atlanta. The customer service is the worst here in Atlanta. This establishment has been getting progressively worse throughout the years. I don’t see how they have closed down and rebranded at this point. Please do yourself a favor and don’t call the restaurant, it’s a waste of time.
This was the worse restaurant. Clearly the restaurant missed part of our order. They would not take responsibility even though they highlighted and marked off the items as they put them in the bag.The missing entree was not highlighted or marked. I called the restaurant and was told I could come pick up the missing entree; on Mothers Day. The salmon was overcooked, steak and chicken was bland, spring rolls were not edible, and the miso was over salted. The spring rolls do not really have any contents to speak of inside and the wrap was mushy. Customer service was subpar at best. They made us look for a receipt number for a $100 order they could not remember.
A fly was cooked into my food, , the waiter had an attitude about it and ask me what would I like him to do about it so I asked to speaker to the manager. I literally stopped eating sushi because of this restaurant. After speaking to the manager he get me 3 free dinner coupons back to the restaurant which i was upset about and made no sense to me, who would want to go back to eat there after that ordeal...
Great selections of sushi and drinks. Opted for the lobster rolls and shrimp bites for appetizer, everything was fresh and flavorful! I sat for about 20 minutes with no greeting, the hostess had to go back to the kitchen at least 4 times to grab a waitress to assist before the bartender graciously stepped up to serve me. The food was so good but its not worth it based on poor service.
I was served by jasmin let me start by saying jasmin is one the best servers i had at this place and i been eating here for years!!! She walked me through everything made sure ik what was going on in the store and how long the wait was i had to tip her good COME HERE and ask for her for the best service

So me and my wife were there this past Friday night for happy hour (June 10th) and were regulars there especially my wife and usually the service is good but this particular night we received the worse service ever and we may never return after our recent experience first of all I think our server was new because it took her so long to bring out our orders and then my wifes food was all wrong, the entrees was brought out before the appetizers and we asked for sauces for our food that took forever as well by the time the sauces came out our food was cold then when my wife complained to the manager about the service and asked for more items that she was missing the manager didnt come back to our table period at that point we was over it me and my wife was highly upset the worse experience ever it was other things that went wrong that night but thats too much typing that I dont wanna do
Now that Im here to write a review, I notice a theme.. great food, poor service.Unfortunately, I waited so long for my server that Brian behind the sushi bar asked if Id been helped yet. He kindly went to find my server. She finally arrived with the menus. Waited 5 minutes for water; she took my drink order but ran away before I could tell her my food. Then waited another 5 minutes for my drink at which point she took my food order. When it came time for the check, Brian once again noticed my wait. The two items I ordered from the sushi bar came out promptly. The garlic ponzu yellowtail app and eel/cuc roll were both delicious and the fish tasted fresh. The spicy shrimp soup took significantly longer to come out than expected and was too spicy for me to enjoy. Ill admit, Im not a spice eating champion, but Im also not scared by a jalapeno or sriracha. I compare it to a bowlful of sriracha with shrimp and veggies in it. Go for it, if thats your thing!5 stars for the sushi bar (service and food). 1 star for the front of house.
Went with my friends for happy hour drinks and food. By the time we asked for our checks they charged us the full price. Two unprofessional and incompetent managers said they would fix it after they tried to argue happy hour drinks do not apply to the saki bombs until we showed them their own menu. The managers were never to be seen again until after an hour our waiter came to check on us. I have never seen managers give less care about their jobs in Ra sushi ever in my life.
I had been to this place a few times at the Downtown location over the years and loved it so I ordered online from a new Buckhead location they had listed on the website and it turns out it was actually Benihana! They have it advertised as delivery-only and theres one contact number to call thats attached to your order. The delivery is done through Door Dash and because the drivers kept cancelling, I waited almost 2 hours for my food. When I tried calling for a refund, I kept getting an automated message and no one answering. This is misleading the customer in thinking Im ordering from one restaurant when Im actually ordering from another. The Door Dash delivery person even had trouble delivering the order as she couldnt access my location since the place I ordered from says RA Sushi and the place she picked it up from is Benihana. She had to get special permission from Door Dash which is ridiculous (and not her fault). I contacted corporate and will be awaiting a response. If I could give this 0 starts I would and will not be going back to any of their locations in the future. poor customer service and poor management.
This is one of the first places I ever ate 7 years ago when I moved to Atlanta... Im still coming back. It is so yummy. The Rainbow and Tootsy Maki are my favorite rolls. The awesome chef Josby suggested the filet mignon roll. Ive never considered steak on sushi but bruh... that was good. They also have delicious sashimi assortment bowls. The atmosphere and service is good too. They have a nice outdoor patio for when the weather is nice. The indoor corner bar has nice big windows that they will open. Our waiter Jaime was great 👍.
This place used to be amazing to me. Since the summer of 2015 Ive ordered the same thing but they apparently have a newer chef and my food does not taste the same and instead of the jalapeno slice thats supposed to be on top there is a weird, and nasty, cilantro slaw/mix. The atmosphere is great, the drinks are usually strong and good. I would still go just for the atmosphere but the last time I went my parking wasnt validated correctly and I ended up paying 12 dollars for the parking while people I came with paid 9 and we all got there at the same time.
Good sushi, generous servings, friendly staff. Quick to seat, fast appetizers, reasonable wait on entrees for sushi. Specialty rolls are bold and interesting. A bit heavy on the avocado thats snuck in to too many dishes, but that could be a positive for some or some items. Excellent wasabi. Fantastic first experience. I look forward to eating here again.
Always a great time here with awesome sushi. They have the classics but their special signature RA items are the best to me. You must try the viva las vegas roll!! And they have happy hour every day gotta love a good special. Service is always on par, I have a positive experience every time I visit.Covid response: They offer sanitizer and staff wears masks. Social distancing has been enforced 3 of the 4 last visits. I do more pickups as well now and the curbside service is fantastic- my order is always on time, correct, and tasty.
Two dishes we had were very good and one spicy yellowtail roll was just okay. The highlight of the meal was the two drinks that we got during happy hour. Mango and strawberry margarita and both were very good. The restaurant is pretty with nice Ambience but the staff was extremely slow and more interested in talking to each other and texting on the phone then they were with taking care of the guests. I also I thought it was very strange when I noticed that most of the staff were black and this is a Japanese restaurant so Im wondering whos making the sushi?
Nice vibe… appetizer was excellent. Sushi was delicious. We also ordered hibachi that was good except they did not season our steak at all. I’ve never tasted Ny strip that was bland until I had theirs. We told the waitress who said she would let the manager know it wasn’t seasoned but we never heard anything after that. Manager didn’t come apologize or try to fix. If it wasn’t for that I would have gave 5stars.
I placed a delivery order on 1/23/2022 for me an a friend, received half of my order, was charged the full amount, and was told that I could pick up the missing items of my order if I wanted to. My only offer, after tipping at the full amount, was a refund of the missing items, and, which would leave me with less that I needed for dinner for me and my guest. Also, no offer to reduce the tip, and I had to place a second order with another restaurant. Needless to say, I WILL NOT be ordering from RA Sushi again.
Wish I could give this place 0 stars, the food was okay but waiting longer than 3 hours is awful, I saw the manager running around trying to fix everyone’s complaints. Numerous tables were complaining. As a manager this should be alarming. Get a hold of your business man, great restaurant concept poor execution. Throw the whole staff away
Service wasn’t that great it took our server awhile to attend to us. I got ramen but it was plain and disgusting so I told them to take it off my bill. Our sushi was ready at the bar for about 7 minutes till our server grabbed and brought it (it was a Tuesday night, not visibly busy) sushi was a 7/10 though! And their spicy mayo is delicious.
Ordered takeout and it was not busy at all I only ordered rice for me and my fiancé and when I tell you we waited for about 2 hours . Never will go to this place again they seemed short staff. Once we got the food it was not even hot nor warm it was very cold please save a trip and don’t go here. Asked to speak to a manager no one came and talked to me about my complaint I most likely will call BBB or their cooperate offices . Shame on this place
This was a lack luster experience! What RA used to be was not displayed today! At this very moment while writing this review we are waiting for the server to pick up the check! It has been 15 mins since he brought the check!! This experience would have been less than a star if for not the crazy monkey roll and dragon roll! The bar was out of ingredients for signature cocktails the kitchen was out of clean dishes...pitiful
Unique and good sushi, but ordering from them is a nightmare. Youll wait 40 minutes past your pick up time even if you pay ahead. Plus, good luck finding parking. Getting it delivered, it doesnt come well prepared for the travel either. I will be looking for somewhere else to receive my business and I recommend you do the same.
I dont usually review restaurants, but I had to write this review to warn people of some of the food served at this restaurant. I ordered take-out for my family 2 nights ago, which consisted of some of their most popular sushi and everybody seemed to enjoy it. That same night suddenly my mom got up with a pain in her stomach that sent her straight to the bathroom, I got up to see that my grandparents were also feeling sick. Later my dad was also constantly heading to the toilet.I dont know what that sushi contained, but it made my whole family sick to the stomach the next day. Im pretty sure it was this sushi that had mango in it because thats the only one I didnt try.The sushi tasted fine at first, but obviously it had painful results. I was disappointed and aggravated, this place is not cheap so I essentially paid a lot of money to get my family sick. I will not be coming back and Id warn others as well, at least from ordering that damn mango sushi.
We had reservations at 8pm and didnt walk out until 10pm because the last sushi roll didnt come in until 945 because the kitchen was backed up. The waiter explained that to us but we were a party of four and there were three tables around us that came, ate, and left TWICE! The waiter got a couple of things wrong so i tried levelling with him and there was NO level of empathy from this person. When the manager came to the table we explained our situation and he did refund us for the beers and the appetizers and gave us 10% off ($9.90) i simply dont understand why our table in particular was so poorly managed. The rolls themselves besides Las Vegas lacked luster. Unfortunately i wont be going back to this establishment.
So happy to share that RA’s excellent service is back! The food and atmosphere has always been great, the service waned for awhile so I almost wrote it off. Gave it one final chance and they’re nailing it. Kudos to all. Our server Marquita was fantastic! Put this place back on your radar. Excellent food, drinks, and service.
Jake was amazing and he had everything we asked for plus more! Ask for him when you go! He told us about some very good sushi rolls, the Crazy monkey roll was delicious!!! The server was very educated on his sushi and sake knowledge, he kept it real and was very attentive. The bartender made amazing drinks as well tonight! Thank you for great service and a new yummy sushi spot!!!!
Went to RA Sushi on a Sunday for an early dinner. had seen the reviews regarding the bad service but opted to give it a try in light of a few positive reviews. I should have listened to the other reviews!! The service was TERRIBLE. We had a reservation, the inside had only 3 other tables besides us. we waited 20 minutes before our waiter even came to our table, even though we had seen him back and forth to his other tables several times. When I flagged him down to ask who our waiter was he went to the front to ask and came back and told us he “didn’t know he had another table. They are supposed to tell him he was sat”. Fine, we ordered everything right away since we had plenty of time to review the menu. Overall the food was decent but if you want to eat your meal at the same time as the other people in your party know that you won’t! My daughter received food first, her ramen, then about 15-20 minutes later her sushi. After another 20 minutes my boyfriend received his order, hibachi. After still waiting I was told my order, sushi, was not close to being done. At this point we had already been at the restaurant an hour and 45 minutes. I told our waiter to just cancel the order and we got the heck outta there. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else!
I would give this restaurant five stars for the great food. The sushi was absolutely incredible but, I have to give it a four-star because of how it was served.Instead of bringing all the food out all at once, the waiter brought one person their food then, 15 minutes later the other persons food came out. And they brought the salad or 15 minutes after that.It was very unorganized. I dont think I would ever dine-in again. I would probably order food to go.
I went to the restaurant Friday night and loved it. I loved it so much that I ordered delivery from them Saturday night for my friends and I. After waiting the typical hour for the food to arrive the order was missing the sushi- the part we were most excited for. All we received were the sides we ordered. Disappointed with the lack of due diligence in checking the orders are correct.

2022-06-12I went during happy hours and I had a great time. I was seated quickly no wait and I don’t have a reservation. The food was amazing!!!! The hostess was nice and so was my server. I sat inside but the outside area looked nice as well. The happy hour prices were actually great and not at all expensive for what I got! I highly recommend😋.

2022-05-30I try to be very forgiving and give much grace to the people who work so hard to feed us, but tonight has probably been some of the worst service I have ever received in a restaurant. I have never seen someone so unprepared to be a waiter, and if thats the case, they should not be serving people. After waiting to be seated, and waiting extra to even get our orders taken because another couple complained about the horrendous times it took for their food to get to them, we ordered our appetizers, only to find out maybe 15 minutes later that the waiter somehow lost our order? Im not sure how that happened since he wrote down everything we ordered, specifically pointing at things on the menu because he had not even a baseline knowledge of many of the things on the menu. After he loses our order and puts it in, he comes back, and informs us that he has given us an outdated menu by accident, so two of the appetizers we ordered arent even available on the menu anymore. So we have to choose two new appetizers. Fine, no biggie. We order the new food. As Im typing this, we have been here almost two hours, maybe more, and we ordered, very little food. Its taken an indescribable amount of time for our food to come out. If I knew it would be this bad, I never wouldve come here. To top it all off, the final appetizer we order, the waiter brings it over, and it has another tables receipt laying on top of it. Just, inside of the bowl. He snatches it off the top and places it back on the serving tray, as if were just going to eat the food after. With the asynchronous times that our food came out, combined with the shoddy service, and everything else, I truly cannot recommend this place. Oh, and the saddest part was that the food was really good, Ive just had such an awful time I dont think the food was worth the experience in the slightest, especially for the price and the portion sizes of the food itself. I apologize RA Sushi Bar Restaurant, but please train your servers to have some level of competency and hygiene in order to serve customers.Edit: A manager, after maybe half an hour, spoke to us, and after taking a lengthy amount of time to help us, validated our parking for two hours. At this point we had been trapped in the restaurant for well over two hours, and had to pay parking that cost literally almost the same as our meal. The two $10 gift cards we were given are practically useless since I dont think Ill ever be dining here again.

2022-05-02Quality of food, quality of service recently has declined. This spot use to be a favorite but after having lunch Saturday with my girlfriends and having the worse services ever has confirmed I will never return. We had reservations for 4:30 didn’t get seating until 40 min later because shift change . Our server Melvin was by far the worse server ever, from his rude tone, to his customers service skills sucked. And to make things worse he was training a new server , felt so sorry for her. He seem to let his bad day spill over to his service. My friend as for sushi with just salmon, cream cheese and avocado, server said they don’t do that and insists we order a role they made , no accommodations which is weird most sushi places will accommodate you , our food was slow and come out and all sorts of time. I got my food, ten min later my friend has hers another 15 min our 3rd friend has her plate , server blamed having 2kitchen. This place is under poor management and I recommend you go to a real sushi Hibachi place as the server didn’t even bring the necessity out. 2 stars are for the food was edible

2021-12-13Loved the customer service via phone. I ordered take out and had someone walk me through the directions and where to park. My order was made quickly and she even recommended me to try the roll with eel and spicy Mayo sauce which was delicious. If your like me and love sushi you should try the Scallop Dynamite. It was fried tempura style, topped with scallops, and baked with a delicious sauce. (6 pieces) It’s my new addiction! Can’t wait to go back again

2021-09-26Saturday night knew there would be a wait. Grabbed a seat at the bar. It was an hour wait for a table. That wasnt the problem. We got our drinks and then after that we were invisible. After 35 minutes of waiting for them to take our order, a manager finally came to assist. We waited an additional 50 minutes for our meal to arrive with still no silverware, napkins or condiments. And... have of the order was missing. By the time we received silverware and napkins, the food was cold.As we were being served our meal after waiting over an hour, a couple was seated beside us and got their drinks immediately and food about 15 minutes later.20 minutes after we shared the one plate of food we received, the rest of the food came.Overall, the food was good, but I would not recommend on a busy night.

2021-09-25Enjoyed a dinner date night here. The dark setting goes well with the aesthetic and food. I believe I had the chili something roll. It was spicy 🥵 my friend had scallops. We both enjoyed our dishes. The server was nice and prompt. The drinks are okay. I tried the Japanese old fashioned and house margarita . The margarita was better. There are TVs and a bar there. Restrooms are clean. They validate parking if you park in the garage that’s connected to the building. Nice place.

2021-11-30Ratings are a funny thing...everyone complimented the food. The issue people seemed to have were with waiting for service... Being from NY, I can deal with just about any service imaginable. Jasmin A. my server, was super sweet and came right over, took my order and said the spicy chicken ramen was her favorite... the atmosphere is hip, and on a cold night, I was in the mood for some hot Ramen. Started off with some fresh mango and strawberry juice (mixed) Cool and very flavorful. Fried pork dumplings were crispy and on point. This Ramen was spicy and the chicken delicious. I asked for some extra hot sauce. My philosophy on hot ramen is you should be sweating by the bottom of the bowl, this did not disappoint. Had to finish with the mixed moshi ice cream to cool things down. The Mango and Raspberry were melt in your mouth good!Solid meal, nice service, ask for Jasmine A. She was amazing!Manager Jay is also a fantastic guy and came by to say hello.

2022-05-14CLEANLINESS: Ill let you judge this. They had dirty dishes, bugs crawling up the wall, bugs flying on your food, we had hair in several dishes. See pictures for that. We saw hair flying in the air, it was disgusting.CUSTOMER SERVICE: I took my sister and Mother-in-law here for Mothers Day. Jalen was our server. JALEN IS THE WORST SERVER IVE EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE! First of all, he acted like he did not want to be bothered. He gave us menus, didnt introduce himself, tell us about any promotions, mention anything thats not on the menu, etc. So, we started ordering and everything we mentioned, he said Oh we dont got that. I eventually asked, What do you have? He mentioned what they did have and we ordered our drinks. Next issue with him, He brings the drinks and drops my sisters drink down her back and it splashed on my mother-in-law. Do you guys know that this man did not acknowledge the obvious disaster he just create?!! So, i said You dont realize that you just spilled her drink down her back and splashed her? He said, ohh...what you... you good? HE HAD TO REFRAIN FROM SAYING OH WHAT YOU WANT ME TO DO?!He looks ghetto and not only is he ghetto, hes illiterate. At this point Im furious so I told the manager who was the floor manager. He gave us a waitress and she was nice. I told te general manager about the hair and dirty dishes and he said hell talk to the kitchen.I was so embarrassed that I took my family there for a holiday like Mothers Day. I was a regular here before the pandemic and always liked it so I brought them. Lets just say after the pandemic, this place went to hell.

2022-05-15Phenomenal sushi. After one bite of the salmon nigiri, I was literally able to fly. I cannot believe that I not only had the best meal of my life, but I was graced with the presence of the Pickle Princess (pp for short). Our waitress Kacey was also fantastic.
