The place is pretty neet looking, the food came out all together, but after that I was not very impressed. I wanted to believe we finally have something good come to the area. First off they dont season the meat anymore, and Im sad for that, there was absolutely no flavor in the meat. Salt and pepper will go along way... If you order the kids burger just know that the Jimmy Dean sausage paddies are bigger than the paddies on the kids burger, so very small. They didnt bring us any eating utensils and our waitress was visibly annoyed when we asked for it. We tried their jalapeno poppers and they were not good, very watery when you bite into them. I really hope they fix this.
I wasnt a regular when this place was previously open, but I did eat here multiple times, and I have always LOVED the Ranger Burger. So, imagine my disappointment one day when I learned that it had closed down for good! However, when I learned that they were coming back, I was beyond excited. I couldnt wait! So, when I found out when the grand opening would be, I made sure I stopped in to eat. And, MAN, it was so good! I was seated almost immediately, the service was prompt (both improvements from when it was previously open), and I got my Ranger Burger and fries in less than 15 minutes. I made sure to savor every bite, it was so good. Ill admit, I wasnt sure how I felt at first when I learned that it was now going to consist of 4 quarter-pound patties instead of 2 half-pound ones, but luckily, I was able to smash it down enough to fit it into my mouth. My only complaint is that it was a little on the salty side, but thats nothing that cant be fixed. I even got to talk to the new owners, and they seemed so proud to have revived the restaurant, as well they should be. Although I thanked them in person, I just want to say again: Thank you, thank you, thank you, for your service and for bringing this place back!
So good to that the Ranger Burger is back in Cusseta, Georgia. I have been eating the burgers here for over 30 years. The current burger is 4 patties, I recommend the ranger burger junior that only has 2 patties. Comes with fries that are great, onion rings are pretty good as well.
I was very disappointed with my burger. You can tell the difference. The last time I had the same burger under the name Four Winds a d now that its Ranger Burger. Its gone downhill. The bottom of my burger was soggy. I mean who puts tomato, mustard and ketchup on the bottom of a burger. Never again!
This was my first time being back in since theyve re opened. I placed a to go order , I ordered the Ranger Burger fries and a tea , Ill have to give it five stars it was hot , fresh and a handful the wait was pretty short . Ive also got to give them five stars for their marketing.
I went there on the 22nd of February with a friend and our spouses. Its exactly as I remember it in 2013 with one small change for the worse. Now they have a TV with the volume up high enough to a point you cant not hear it. The best part of my meal, (thats sarcasm) was listening to Fox news talking heads deny Russian interference in our electoral processes. You have got to appreciate a restaurant that gets a great deal of bussiness from the Armed Services nearby spreading propaganda that is directly against all Americans best interests. It got better though, because this mouthy fella on the news kept referring to this nice lady as a famous Native American who saved the life of John Lewis. Really amazing to hear racial terms hurled as slurs from people on the TV while you are enjoying your food and company. Its almost as if a better option would be to not play devisive news on the TV at your eatery. It just kept going, from one clip of the gentlemen to the next, like a non stop parade of vulgarity playing as loudly as it could.I would not recommend this establishment because every good quality like the rather tasty food, the very helpful, understanding, and kind waitress, and the pricing is immediately ruined by the decision to play such vulgarity over their TV. If you want to be Russian than just put it on RT. If you want to serve good food, do that and turn the TV off.

2022-07-01Same location. some small changes inside. Staff were all very friendly, and the place was clean, food though left much to be desired sadly. my son and I both left more than 2/3 of our meals uneaten. it hasnt come close in the last three attempts at reopening. I remember the place when it had old indoor outdoor carpet in early 2000. ( current owner, vet group previous, the basketball player..) nobody has done it justice in the last 10 years. I commend them for trying, but just not there. nearly a 40 minute wait for our food, with only three other tables. ours were cooked well done, dried out and tasted like they were made yesterday, or maybe this morning and sort of warmed up. Cheese barely melted. the equivalent of less than one full piece of bacon ( two strips about 2 long). room temp fries.its a long drive from Phenix city, or even Columbus for what we got. theyve got a long ways to go before earning the reputation that comes with the Ranger Burger brand. I genuinely hope they make improvements or theyre going to struggle like the last several reopenings.

2020-08-02Made to order, staff was so friendly, the establishment was clean. Our waitress definitely checked on us several times. The burger was huge, I cut in half and brought the rest home. Homemade onion rings was a hit too. This place is a hidden jewel. We drove 30 miles and definitely worth it. I will be back

2020-07-18The only thing I can say is WOW! I had the Ranger Burger and it was amazing. Onion rings were very good too. I live nearby and had company so we ordered 7 burgers and sides by phone and 30 minutes later we came in and picked the order up. No delays. Great service and great burgers.

2020-06-13We were traveling back from vacation and my husband wanted a burger. We have now added this delightful place to our next years plans. The burgers were perfect. The French fries were delicious. The onions rings were exactly right. The black tie chocolate cake was ridiculously good. Our waitress was a very kind and efficient lady.

2020-06-28This fan favorite burger house is under new ownership and management. They are doing a wonderful job. The burgers are fantastic! They have increased the offerings on the menu and they have expanded the seating capacity. The facility has a nice military decorum and all is welcome.

2020-02-09Let me start off on a positive, and say the hamburger and fries were amazingly good. What ruined it for me was the dining experience with the servers. They were all standing up front socializing like they were at a party instead of work. The waitress acted like is was painful to even speak, and one sever in the group was digging in her teeth. I didnt really get the impression any of them cared about the customers, but only to carry on their group conversation.I think if the dining experience was better I would have rated it 4-5 stars. I will try it again because the food was good, and see if the service turns out differently.
