Red Lobster in other cities:
Had not been to Red Lobster in years. The parking lot was near empty. Was afraid the restaurant and.food had gone down hill. It had not. The service was very good. The food was great. Was very pleasantly surprised. Definitely going to add this to our rotation of restaurants.
First a sign posted said they would need er honor COVID mandates. When our food arrived the flounder was as tasteless as cardboard, shrimp cocktail was bland, the salad dressing was not mixed well, the fries were soggy. The server was fine, but the quality of the food has dropped but not prices. This used to be a fairly good place to eat.
Horrible Horrible! I ordered the New Orleans blackened salmon and shrimp with crab legs side of Brussels sprouts! The salmon was horrible wasn’t even blackened no taste at all, my Brussels sprouts were burnt, not eatable @all! The crab legs were disgusting! The food quality and taste has significantly declined. I’m so disappointed….should’ve spent my money elsewhere
Red Lobster has definitely gone downhill in recent years. Theres only so much you can order from them. Tried a trio platter today of white fish, shrimp scampi, and popcorn shrimp. The fish was not good at all. It was 90% breading encasing very low quality fish. Side salad was not great, mostly big stems off the lettuce. The best thing was literally the bread. Our server was very sweet and kind! He checked on us and was great! All staff we came in contact with actually were great. Just wish the food was better!
Had an item missing from my Togo Oder. At first, I was not upset. It happens. I understand. But, when I call to say we were missing an item and we were coming back to get it, I was questioned like I was in the wrong. I was told that they are reallyyy good about checking Togo orders and the person working Togo tonight hasn’t made a mistake in 6 weeks??We go pick up the item and bring the receipt so we can verify that we did in fact order the missing item. While there, another customer comes in doing curbside requesting missing salad dressings. We were offered a desert for coming back but I was thrown off by feeling like I was in the wrong when I first called about the missing item.
Red Lobster has never been my favorite restaurant, but since my mother really likes it, I usually go with her several times a year. Despite it not being my favorite, I can usually at least count on the Cheddar Bay biscuits being delicious & my usual order of Shrimp Scampi tasting the same each time, which is pretty good. However, our most recent visit was quite awful. The biscuits were still good, but that was the ONLY thing enjoyable about this visit.I know there is currently a nationwide staffing shortage, which was apparent here, but this went beyond the normal issues youd expect when a restaurant is short staffed. There was a long wait to be seated (even though there were plenty of open tables), but ok, theyre short staffed, so we waited patiently. Once seated, EVERYTHING (including drinks, napkins, tartar sauce & to go containers) took a long time to be brought out - we still hadnt even received our salads when the entrees were brought out.Our waitress was obviously trying her best - she was clearly a new hire, who had not been properly trained, on top of dealing with a very backed up kitchen & too many tables. Management failed her. Then, I had to take my 3 year old to the restroom, and man oh man it was very, very gross. It had obviously not been cleaned properly in a very long time. Each stall I looked in was worse than the one before. The mold around the bottom of the toilet (see picture) had been growing for quite some time, as it was fuzzy & slimy. I had to make sure my 3 yo didnt get near it, since hed surely slip if hed stepped in it. There were no seat covers to be found, & the floor was covered in toilet paper & empty toilet paper rolls - so much that we couldnt avoid having it stuck to the bottoms of our shoes on our way out.Again, I know theres a staffing shortage, but this whole experience was beyond anything Ive seen anywhere else. Highly recommend waiting for them to hire & properly train additional staff before visiting.*Also, there is a new, very abbreviated, menu. Dont expect youll be able to order the exact thing youve had in the past.
Terrible experience last night. Couldnt finish my food, it tasted so bad. The server kept forgetting to bring back drinks, so we would have to go get other servers to bring refills, didnt get biscuits until halfway through the meal, even after asking 3 times, and they were cold on top of that. Each experience lately has gone down here. Go somewhere else and dont waste your time
We were a large party of 10 adults and 5 small children with no prior notice given. They seated us in 36 minutes at 5pm Saturday. The waitresses (there were 2) never let our drinks get to low and were both really nice. The food was good (Im not a huge fan of seafood) and everything was well cooked and looked really good. The drinks were even really good.
Had the Harborside Lobster and Shrimp feast for lunch. While taste was decent all the grilled seafood was WAY OVERCOOKED. Seafood is your speciality and it should be easy to get this right. Very disappointing and probably the worst food prep of all my RL visits. Server however was excellent.
Poor Red Lobster. I feel bad for them. I havent been since the pandemic. What a change. First those delicious biscuits arent anymore. Salad was awful. The lettuce was warm. The only thing I like on my plate was the coconut shrimp. The baked potato was not cook long enough it was hard. I left her a 13.00 tip because she was honest and really a great waitress. Other than that this chic wont be back.It was the Athens, Ga restaurant.
Was very happy with the service this time around. Went there 5 years ago and was completely disappointed then ended up going to several other red lobsters that were way far away from us just to avoid this place but decided to give it another shot today and was pleasantly surprised. We will certainly be back and thank you for the improvements!
Great place to eat! We were coming back from vacation and stopped over in Athens before heading home so we stopped in. I was very pleased with the service! We had my 90 year old grandmother who uses a walker and she cant walk very far. They seated us close and ensured that she was okay! Our waiter was truly awesome ensured we had bread and even got our food so fast I was surprised! Everything was great and we never waited for refills or anything so I highly recommend eating here!
Ordered take out from Red Lobster, Athens Ga. Manager came to car with order, said how much he would appreciate a good review. Got home with order, some items ordered were not included. Called store spoke to same manager. He apoligized for mess up and said he would credit 10 dollars back to my credit card for inconvenience. Never done. Paid for items I did not get. No wonder manager begging for good reviews. With service like this I doubt he gets any.
Got order to go for take out. My order was all there, bit the plate was really unappealing to look at. Skimpy looking crab legs, scampi was in this white container that looked like it should be holding coleslaw from a BBQ joint. It tasted okay, but I feel like it wasnt nearly as good as it was when I visited 7 years ago. Staff were friendly and attentive...they get 5 stars.
FIRST TIME EATING HERE NEVER BEEN TOO RED LOBSTER 🦞 BEFORE FOOD WAS GREAT AND GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AS WELL AND A Plus For Red Lobster 🦞 THEY HAD COKE PRODUCTS WHAT MADE ME LIKEING THEM MORE THEY HAD COKE AND DIET COKE FOR MY WIFE LOT OF PLACES DONT HAVE COKE SO 😋 I GIVE YOU 10 PLUS RATEING 100 PERCENT THANKS DEFINITELY WILL BE BACK TOO EAT AGAIN SOON
Brianna was outstanding, she was training Zachary, and she was so attentive, professional and kind. we had an excellent experience. the food was fantastic we had coconut shrimp, mushrooms, soup, admirals feast and Margarita, wow the service was the best we have had in a long time. thank you Brianna(? sorry if I spelled wrong)From a very happy customer,
Wow! Disappointed by my experience at Red Lobster this week. Took my daughter and family out for birthday dinner and it was us and one other family in the whole restaurant. Sweet tea was horrible, waitress kept trying to get us to order the entree without letting me order the appetizers and when the food finally arrived it was flavorless and messy. About 15 mins in the waitress and floor manager start arguing and screaming right beside our table. This argument about people not doing their job lasted the entire meal across the whole restaurant in and out of the kitchen. By this time we were the only people in the restaurant at 8pm on Monday night and she was worried about what somebody else wasnt doing. I dont write reviews and I use to enjoy eating here but this ruined our special occasion. I hope people will get out and go back to work so we can try to return to normalcy.
The menu has changed theyve gotten more expensive the food is not as good I dont like some of the new items that have been added its lost its pizzazz it used to be all that to me now its just another seafood place like Captain Ds or something its just overpriced service was terrible I still tip anyways
Private room was freezing. The last 7 of us got our food after everyone else had eaten. It was our Christmas Lunch. My food was good but my friends was cold and looked like it might have been done for a while. If they are going to host parties they need to make sure the cooks can handle it. But our Wait Staff was great.
Order was placed by phone to Red Lobster at 1956 W. Broad St Athens GA, at approximately 6:30pmI called in a order for fish & chips, asked what side I could choose along with the coleslaw. I asked if I could substitute another side for the coleslaw. I was told I couldnt. I asked even if I paid extra. She said no, I couldnt. She said it came with coleslaw. I told her it came with one more side, that I was able to substitute on my last order. She said no, it came with coleslaw. She sounded frustrated. I told her the menu said the fish & chips came with two sides. She then said coleslaw & fries. She said again it came with coleslaw. I stated that I thought she said fries & coleslaw. She said yes.I asked if I could substitute the fries for something else, she asked what I wanted. I said baked potato with butter & sour cream, also cocktail sauce & hot sauce.I asked if cheddar biscuits still came with orders. She said yes, & asked if I wanted to order extra. I said no, that was it.When I checked the order that was brought out to me after calling to let them know I was outside, I was told theyd bring my order out.I gave the waiter my gift card. I checked the order as I waited for him to return with the receipt. There was no coleslaw, cocktail sauce or hot sauce.I tipped him with cash when he returned & told him about the missing items. He went back to get the items. I checked inside the plate & saw there was no chips with the fish as with my last order. He returned with my receipt & coleslaw. I signed it & asked about the chips. He said it didnt come with chips & left. I checked the menu & the container of coleslaw that looked like a childs serving. I then went inside & showed them the coleslaw & the menu. Chips & more coleslaw were added to my order. No apology was give for the mix up & the time it took. The hostess & waiter just stood looking at me as I showed them the menu concerning what came with the order.By this time, you can imagine how the fish, biscuits & baked potato was. This was my first experience such as this with Red Lobster.
I dont expect to have the best lobster Ive ever had at Red Lobster but I didnt expect to literally have the worst either. I was actually glad it was very small because I didnt have to feel bad about throwing it in the garbage. It was that bad. Stringy, drenched in some sort of oily, garlic stuff with rice spread all around it. I didnt order it with rice. Shrimp was ok and potato was ok but skip the lobster at Red Lobster....
My email to Red Lobster: I picked up my order and brought it home. We ordered two apple deserts. They are both missing ice cream. I tried calling but I was on hold for 15 minutes. I hung up and called back. Spoke to someone in take out. The person transferred me to management and I was on hold for another 10 minutes. So now Im emailing you. I paid full price for two deserts thats missing half the desert.I had no trouble getting through when I said I wanted to ORDER but when I tried to get through to management, I was on hold for 25 minutes total.I realize restaurants are struggling right now but poor customer service will not help your struggles.Im not looking for anything free. I do want to be compensated for the two deserts that were missing ice cream. Replacing one desert sounds fair to me.I am a customer who is also struggling amid the current crisis. This was a birthday dinner for my mother-in-law. She cant go out due to COVID-19. We must keep her safe.Stay safe. The food was cold.
Where to even begin oh yeah the moment that you walk in the door youre greeted by a million signs telling you to put on a mask and when you dont wear a mask if you forgot it or otherwise you are given one you are asked to wear it until you get to your table(I respect the mask wearing for everyones benefit thats not my argument here), there were several open spots in the back however I understand hospitality and that doesnt always mean that a table is available but upon being seated we were seated in a very cramped end booth the waitress took 15 minutes to even say hello and then after that we found that some guests were walking out without wearing a mask. The menu has been trimmed down obviously because of covid but the prices remain astronomically high for what Little value and food that you are not going to get Im not quite sure how red lobster stays in business Im assuming its because of its a conglomerate of a national chain. If youre going to give your money to a seafood restaurant then go to a local owned seafood restaurant so that way youre supporting your community.
Came in 30 mins ahead of reservation and checked in only to have our name moved to the bottom and walk ins seated before us. Hostees have no clue what they are doing. Terrible. The reality here is that the service and management have very little clue how to properly manage a rush. We were seated in the back in an overflow area that had plenty of room for additional patrons. The hostess realized they had made the mistake and kicked us to an overflow part of the restaurant. Now, someone wants me to private message on Facebook. Wow, how about a phone call seeing how I had to give it when I made the reservation by telephone. Good grief.
I had the lobster, steak and added shrimp. Steak and shrimp were delicious. I tried the lobster for the first time ever and found it to be a little rubbery. Not sure if that is how it should taste or not. Even their cheese biscuits were good. Their soft drinks are expensive at 2.95 a glass. Next time I will order water.
Horrible! Stay away!I went to this location 2 weeks ago. There was a sign with very small print stating that there was paint on the doors. The sign did not say that it was anywhere else. I sat on the benches in the Lobby and immediately got paint on my phone and shorts. I notified the manager who told me to just wash them and she handed me a rag. A day later, I called them asking to refund me for my meal, since my shorts were now ruined. I have spoken to two different managers, and they still have not called me back with a resolution.Clearly, they should take responsibility and not be shady but just avoiding my phone calls. How in the world could they be open in the first place with wet painteverywhere!?!?
This restaurant has declined in service and food. The lobster roll was nothing but overcooked lobster on a mashed warm bun. I have had these elsewhere and it was a regular sandwich with lettuce and tomato and mayo. Server Calvin was trying to do 3 things at once and none well. No refills. No excuses. It was not that busy.
Happy Mothers Day! Arrived around 12. Right before the crowd. Hostess was not the friendliest but we were seated within 30 min, as promised. Waitress was okay. Biscuits were a bit undercooked. But mixed drinks were good. 😀 I ordered flounder and coconut shrimp. Flounder very good and crispy. Coconut shrimp good, but sweet. Good if you like that kind of flavor for your shrimp. Overall, good food and pleasant experience.
We went here on Sunday to celebrate a birthday (there was 6 of us) and we used their sign in online service and the wait said 10 minutes, when we arrived we waited for 52 minutes. We found out that they weren’t seating many people because of short on servers, but they had 4 people plus the manager not seating people. When we finally got seated the server was very slow coming to take our drink order, and after we ordered our food wasn’t correct by the time we got the sauce for the pasta the pasta was cold even though we ordered extra sauce when ordered. After the food came the server came back and said there would be an extra charge for the sauce that’s why they didn’t bring it out with the food, I don’t mind paying more but I would like to receive what I ordered. Mine wasn’t the only one who’s food was wrong everyone was finished eating before the sauce came. My husband ran out of tea 3 times and it was very hard getting reorders of unlimited shrimp as well, you could see a lot of tables were complaining about food and service. We have eaten here several times at least 2 times a month. We have noticed the service and quality of food declining I do not know if it was a manger change or what. But we will NOT be going back to this location. I suggest you travel to a better Red Lobster.
I had a very excellent experience away this restaurant all thanks to the waitress a young girl named Jackie. She made sure I was waited on in excellent time. My bread and salad came out at the same time my bread was nice and hot for me. She brought out my mozzarella sticks out while they were hot. My food came out and it was so good and hot. She made sure my drink was refilled when I needed it. She was the best waitress Ive had out of all my experiences at this and other restaurants.
The food was good. Since it was mid-afternoon, we both had the fish and chips. The breading on my fish was a little more done than I prefer, but it was OK. My wife got the same thing and hers was good. The server went over and above responding to our requests. It was a nice time for me and my wife.
I placed a to go order and when I picked it up and got back to work with my salad. The salad was horrible. It looked like cooked spinach from the trash with hardly any chicken on it. I went back to the restaurant and the General Manager Ashley Hughes was so helpful and apologetic . She corrected my order, gave me a great new salad, fresh biscuits, and fresh dressing. She did great ! I want yall to know how great she is doing!
They may satisfy you inside but I Just recently got up to go Order This food looked worse than anything Captain Ds has ever served , . The order was wrong and the baskets somehow have changed not the same great biscuits we use to enjoy. . I took a dive into the ocean Thats known as red lobster for some great Seafood Ended up plummeting To One of the worst Seafood experiences ever
At 3pm, they were out of baked potatoes, the food was not prepared well. Scampi was undercooked. Biscuits were great and thats all that was good. Service was good. I asked for fried fished was given broiled and I was finished eating before they brought out one pieces of fried fish when I was given two pieces Broiled.
We went on a Tuesday figuring it would be a bit slower. When we got there, we had to wait for 20 minutes before being led back to restaurant that was 3/4 empty. The general air of the place was that the servers didnt care, or perhaps didnt really know, what they were doing. No one was really rushing anyplace or seemed stressed, there was just a general slow and apathetic pace to everything. Our server would disappear for huge chunks of time and never checked on us between bringing the things wed asked for. When our food was brought, the server sat everything down and before we even had a chance to look at the meal, turned around and walked off. This meant we had no chance to request melted butter (we all had crab legs or lobster), no chance to ask for refills, and no chance to point out that one of our meals had the wrong sides with it. Our waiter then disappeared again and only returned after about 10 minutes and us requesting that another server try and locate our server. The food was alright for the most part, though the rice that came with all three meals was underdone. In the end, the whole affair took about 2 hours. We would have asked to speak to a manager, but by the end of the meal, just wanted to get out of there and really didnt want to wait another 10+ minutes for the manager to make their way around to the table. This was one of the worst dining experiences Ive had in recent memory, and we will not be returning.
My cajun chicken Alfredo was some of the most bland pasta I ever ate. So bland Im going to have to go to the store tomorrow to get seasoning just so I dont throw it away. This used to be my favorite meal there. I called to let a manager know I was dissatisfied and apparently they only season the chicken now....well they dont put nearly enough on for anything but the chicken to have taste. The manager didnt offer me any sort of recompense. I will NEVER order from this particular Red Lobster again and, frankly, will be hard pressed to order from any Red Lobster in the future.
I have had only one bad experience going to this Red Lobster and the manager took care of it. Always great food and margaritas. I have frequenting this location since the 70’s and will continue to go. On a side note I really don’t like the sides you have added to the ultimate feast prefer it the old way
Made a stop here for my mom’s birthday and arrived at 6:20. Walked in and we were immediately seated. Jose eventually came over and took our drink order. We had to ask about what kind of oil the shrimp was fried in because my father is extremely allergic to certain oils. Jose left and got our drinks and when we asked about the kind of oil, he never asked and had to go back and ask. He eventually returned and stated it was just canola oil.I ordered the Ultimate feast and they ordered the dragon shrimp and lobster Alfredo. We received our salads and a short time later our food arrived. For a chain restaurant the food was pretty good. The dragon shrimp had a little spice to it but good as well as the lobster Alfredo was good. My ultimate feast was good but for the price I would have thought there would have been a little more.I am a firm believer of if you want a good tip, keep our glasses filled. Well poor Jose was really nice but he couldn’t remember a damn thing. We had to ask him multiple times to refill our drinks and get things we requested. If you want an ok meal from a chain restaurant, stop in and grab a bite. If you get poor Jose, just stay on top of him to bring you your things and to refill your drink.
My mother and I visited this past Monday. The waiter Jonathan told us we had to wear a mask then the people after us was seated without mask. He was a nice young man but they were not busy it took a while for him to come back to check on us. The digital pay scanner that sits on the table was discusting not to mention the walls. I ordered a bahama mama the alcohol was sitting on top of my drink it was so nasty. We then decided to order the appetizer pizza as our main dish it was soggy. Needless to say this place has went so down hill. We will never go back again!
Came in initially for a meeting, which fell through last-minute, and got a table for myself. Wait time to be seated was 10-15 minutes, and finally got a 4-top booth. Kleigh S. was seated at the table right in front of me, talking, and got up to get my order about five minutes after I sat down. He was very friendly but seemed preoccupied and rushed. I got my tea in a timely manner, but should have known my order needed to be repeated after my starter salad showed up with croutons (I am on a restricted diet for medical needs); he was nice enough to get me a totally new salad without croutons. I ordered the grilled chicken with scampi from the lunch menu; I received wood-grilled shrimp and scampi over rice. He seemed rushed so I didnt want to bother him more by asking for my order to be corrected; luckily everything was safe according to my needs. I continually asked for a half and half tea to go but never got it, and got a refill of sweet tea when I asked for another half and half. Competent and pleasant, but not especially observant - maybe because he was so engrossed in continuing the conversation with his friend who also worked at Red Lobster but was off the clock and seated in the booth ahead of me. Hopefully service will improve after they get their conference room dried out (or perhaps before).

2022-05-21First the hostess was fabulous - I asked for some place warm as A/C always freezes me! She said give her a minute and found us a warm both, great start she really cared and smiled! She then let us know who our waiter would be: loved that. Daniel was fantastic when I asked whats the difference between two of the platters where he told me one had scallops and one had crab which made my decision very easy. The food came out so quick it was hot and amazingly delicious. It was the best shrimp scampi Ive ever tasted even the fried shrimp which can be like every other fried shrimp you ever ate were very perfectly done. Did I mention there was a lobster it was delectable. But what I really came for was just a couple crab legs and it was sweet and delicious. I really havent had such a fabulous meal in a very long time. I didnt get a chance to thank the manager are running such a great crew. Thank you all!

2022-07-03It was ok. I mean, its Red Lobster. Too much food, none of it great, but I love Salmon and shrimp, so it wasnt bad. No wait to sit down. Seemed like a long time to get order and to be served, but Im sure they are understaffed like everyone else. The Pinot grigio was cool and crisp.

2022-06-19It was one of my favorite places in Athens when I lived there. The food, the restaurant, and the staff were all pretty good. Their lobsters are one of the best.

2022-02-22Awesome! Went out for anniversary with hubs, originally we left as we were told 40 min wait on sat eve. BIG MISTAKE! Everywhere else we went 2 1/2 hrs so circled back & SO glad we did. Sat at bar to be seated immediately. Bar tender amazing even though hubs only drinking beer. He remembered every item even we requested even though he tended to other patrons otw to enter our order. Food came out quickly & perfectly. Literally EVERY selection was cooked to PERFECTION! We ordered 4 diff apps & hubs ordered Mariners feast, all AMAZING! We wanted to renew our faith in seafood and Red Lobster delivered without totally draining wallet. Best bar tender ever only works toward end of the week, worth the (40 min) wait. Obviously best kitchen staff on duty at same time!!

2022-06-03I called about the Endless Shrimp promotion, to see if they still had it. I was told Yes. We drove 24 miles to the nearest Red Lobster. We were seated. After ordering our beverages, we were told that they only had the Endless Shrimp on Mondays. This is not the first time that particular restaurant has done this. Other patrons could here the conversation, it was embarrassing & some what humiliating. We left without eating anything. So I can sincerely say that we wont be going back. What a ridiculous experience. Thanks for nothing.

2022-06-02Good service. Great server. HATE the table top payment system. Do not like my information being broadcast to the world for anyone to capture.

2022-04-12The food was pretty bad. The scallops, lobster and fish were cooked until they were rubbery. The lobster dip had 2 pieces of lobster. The stuffed flounder with lobster sauce had 1 piece of lobster. We did not enjoy the experience or the odor in the front of their store.
